...whats the difference between a character and an oc? cuz theyre both characters at the end of the day, serving a function. be it for a narrative or for comfort or what have you.
is there some sort of distinction that makes ocs less... tasteful, to people? at this point ive seen many posts regarding characters in a story making fun of them for looking like "ocs".. from assuming a character was just "someone's oc" to somene calling an entire game a "please draw my ocs" project. (?????? what the fuck is that. what do you mean.)
am i missing something??? wheres the line between a "character" and an "Original character" that suddenly makes media more palatable for people? am i just fucking stupid?
i dont understand...

You know, I keep seeing fanart of the cute demon girls from Helltaker, but I've never actually seen any gameplay. What is it about? Is it a visual novel and you're trying to romance them all? Or maybe it's some sort of rogue-like dungeon crawler (a lot of hell-themed games are rogue-like dungeon crawlers nowadays). Let me just look it up real quick...
It's just a block pusher! It's literally a Kids Next Door flash game from Cartoon Network Dot Com.
The gameplay is irrelevant! It's popular solely because of the cute demon girls, and you know what, fair enough, I get it.
The writing leaves a lot to be desired, but I like this art style.
