(FINAL)DAY 7- TINAS HALLOWEEN PARTY!
And so it is finished… ngl I wanted it to be angst but it turned out to be a cute idea.
Eddie and Chrissy cosplaying as Ghostface and (with a wig) Casey seemed so cute! 😭
Better version here!

Hellcheer Anniversary Week Day Two - Friday Night Football Game
Chrissy can feel the stares on her back in the locker room. She laces up her sneakers and ignores them. A few months ago, she would have cared. Maybe it’s his influence rubbing off on her.
In a few months, this all won’t matter. In a few hours, this all won’t matter.
“Alright,” she says, in as steady a voice as she can manage. She’s still captain after all. “Let’s go.”
They traipse out onto the field and wait for their entrance. The bleachers are busier than Chrissy expected - their basketball team is better so those games are always packed but apparently people still love football.
There’s a harsh whisper behind her, a sudden giggle, and Chrissy swallows. These days she has a good instinct for when the laughter is about her.
If they knew the truth, they’d understand. But they don’t. She’s been with Jason since middle school. She’s always had that title to match her other equally perfect ones. Chrissy Cunningham. Head Cheerleader. Queen of Hawkins High. Prom Committee, Spring Fling Queen, Jason’s girl.
Funny how without the perfect boyfriend that all of her other accolades meant nothing at all. How easily they branded her with a scarlet letter across her chest.
Their coach signals them with her hand just as the band starts to play. Chrissy forces a bright smile onto her face and then they’re being pushed out onto the field. It almost feels too much, the bright lights, the noise, the stamping of feet on the bleachers.
Sometimes Chrissy looks at her life and just hates it.
There’s cheering as they bound out, shouting and waving their poms. For everyone else, this is fun, a Friday night football game. For Chrissy, it’s something meant to be endured.
Especially as when she looks out across the crowd she sees the one face she had hoped wouldn’t be here.
Jason’s in the stands, hands folded, looking right at her. She should have known. Even though he’s not on the team, he must have thought that this would be a place he could get her alone.
He hasn’t taken their break up quietly. He left her notes in her locker, flowers at her house. Got her mother involved, got her friends involved. Begged and pleaded for her not to throw her life away, as though that’s something he has a say in.
He’s tried and failed during school hours. It’s easier to slip away from him, to hide behind teachers. And no matter what he says, he doesn’t dare try to talk to her near Eddie, not after last time. That had certainly ensured the entire school knew about it within a matter of days - Jason Carver and Eddie Munson fighting on school grounds over her.
She’d had to get involved. She didn’t want Eddie to get suspended or expelled, not when they’re so close. She’s kept it all a secret - if anyone finds out that they’re leaving after graduation, her mother would have a fit.
Jason’s smile pins her feet to the floor. He’s so sure of himself, like this is just a glitch in the eventual road to the white dress and chapel, the picket fence and modern suburbia that he has planned for them. But she’s not that girl anymore, if she ever was.
“Can you imagine giving him up for the local freak?” someone snorts from behind her and this time there’s a louder cluster of giggles. Normally, Chrissy ignores it. Today she whirls around to face Marcy and the flicker of shock across her face is satisfaction enough.
“Then you date him,” she snaps, grateful that the band is still too loud for anyone to hear them. “Now move!”
It goes to show how stunned they are that they all let her push them into their first routine without complaint. Chrissy just dances, letting the familiar moves wash everything away. She hates the pageantry of it all but she still loves this. Maybe she can still find a way to dance when they get to LA.
She gets through the first dance and the second, the players arriving on the field. They have to perform at halftime and she wonders if she can just slip away after. If she gives Jason half a chance, he’ll follow her back to her car, insisting on driving home with her. And then she’ll be trapped at the dining room table, watching her mother quiz him about colleges and wanting to know why they ever broke up in the first place.
At least she can take comfort in knowing that Jason would never tell Laura about Eddie. He’s not about to admit that his girlfriend of nearly five years left him for someone like Eddie Munson.
They have to wait on the sidelines once the game starts and Chrissy stands as far away from Jason as possible. Not that it matters - Jason pushes himself up, like he means to climb across the seats to get to her.
So when someone reaches out with a hand to grab her elbow she shrieks, and the sound is lost amongst the roar of the crowd.
“Eddie!” she gasps and lets him swing her up into his arms. If the brawl in the cafeteria didn’t confirm their relationship this certainly will and she finds she truly doesn’t care.
“A little birdie told me,” Eddie says and gently puts her down. “That there may be an unwanted guest attending the game this evening.”
Chrissy turns and sure enough, Jason is frozen in place, lip curled up in disgust as he looks at Eddie. No, looks at Eddie’s hand still wrapped around her waist.
“You heard right,” she says and her voice wobbles a little. Eddie never even goes to pep rallies and he came to a game, just for her.
“So this is football,” he says, looking over her head at the field. He wrinkles his nose a little at the players, the green and orange uniforms. “It’s…what I expected.”
“What was that?” she asks, leaning into his chest just a little. He smells of smoke and cinnamon, and something woodsy, like the inside of a guitar.
“A glorified game of fetch,” he says bluntly. “I’m glad I got to see you do your thing though.” He mimes waving poms again and she stifles a laugh.
She doesn't remember laughing with Jason much.
"You coming over this evening?" Eddie asks, dropping his arms.
"Yeah," she says, because she's started spending what nights she can get away with Eddie. "If Wayne doesn't mind."
"He never minds," Eddie says easily and even though he should look out of place in his Hellfire t-shirt and boots, he really looks like he doesn't care. She wants to be like that too, unbothered by anyone else's thoughts of her. "I think he likes you better than me at times."
Chrissy ignores the almost palpable aura of hostility from her fellow cheerleaders and leans up to kiss his cheek. Everyone already knows - she may as well embrace starting her Senior year off with a little bit of scandal. Start as you mean to go on.
“A few more months,” he says, resting his cheek on her head. “Then we’re out of here.”
“Yeah,” Chrissy echoes, and the crowd suddenly roars. She must have missed the team scoring a goal. “Then we’re out.”
“You okay?” Eddie asks suddenly, tugging on the end of her ponytail. Jason appears to have slunk back to his seat. He’s clearly not willing to risk another fight, especially when Chrissy looks far from being held against her will.
“Yeah,” Chrissy says, feeling safe for the first time all night. “I am now.”
@hellcheeranniversaryweek
Not 100% on the ending but I ran out of time. I love the 'Chrissy would have left Jason for Eddie' thing that Grace said and I want more fics about it.

Hellcheer Anniversary Week Day Two - Friday Night Football Game
"T-I-G-E-R-S! GO TIGERS GO!" the squad yelled in unison while Tina and Rochelle did double front handsprings in the front. The two of them grabbing pompoms and rejoining the group for the final cheer.
Chrissy was in the center of it all, smiling and yelling as loud as she could with her squad. Hers. She was the captain now, the responsibility passed down to her at the beginning of senior year just a month ago.
The Homecoming game was the first big night to show off everything they'd been working on during cheer camp this past summer and the first few games of the season. Try as she might though, her focus kept getting stuck on a figure clad in black sitting at the very top of the bleachers smiling down at her.
Their pompoms pumped the air as they gave their final chant "GO, FIGHT, WIN!" and before she knew it, the announcer was welcoming the marching band and color guard to the field. Halftime finally, thank goodness.
She looked up to the top of the stands and expected to find a lanky metalhead with a Cheshire grin, but his spot was suspiciously empty.
Chrissy turned to Abby Lancaster, one of their best flyers, "I'm gonna get a drink from concessions, I'll be right back!" and walked off before the girl could even give an affirmative nod.
She made her way through the crowd of people milling around as the show began and found a small gap to crawl underneath the bleachers. It wasn't long before she saw the glowing cherry of a lone cigarette in the darkness.
"T-I-G-E-R-S! GO TIGERS GO!" Eddie cheered in a high, girlish voice while waving his arms in an uncoordinated attempt at a cheer routine. "You looked pretty good out there, princess," he chuckled warmly, flicking the cigarette aside.
"Oh yeah?" she said with sweet smile. "You think we can cheer them all the way to the championships?" She made her way to him and placed her hands on his chest, gazing up at him adoringly.
"Can you? Absolutely yes. Do I want you to? Fuck no. I want these fuckers to lose every game. I hate having to sacrifice Friday nights with my girl." His girl. Eddie Munson's secret girlfriend. The thought always set her cheeks ablaze.
"If I'm your girl why haven't you kissed me yet?" she pouted playfully.
With a smile he cradled her face and leaned down for a gentle kiss. A kiss that quickly turned heated. Her hands made their way to his hair, scraping his scalp and pulling a moan from him that she swallowed down eagerly. His hands inevitably made their way under her cheer skirt, squeezing and kneading her ass as his teeth and tongue turned her brain into fuzzy television static.
Somehow she broke away from their kiss, panting and still holding onto a fistful of his hair. She stared at his kiss swollen lips and then looked up into the rich chocolate of his wide eyes, a perfect shaft of light from the bright field lights illuminating the warm, brown canyons found in his irises. The cacophony of sound around them didn't even seem to touch them here in this private dark place.
She touched her forehead to his. "I missed you," she whispered desperately, her heart still beating erratically from their kiss.
"You're telling me," he huffed out a laugh, "Longest fucking week of my life."
She toyed with the chain around his neck, "But we're together now. And I plan on sneaking under the bleachers with you every game, just so you know."
He smiled and looked deeply into her eyes, "Whatever you want, princess."
She pulled on his necklace, bringing his face infinitesimally closer until their lips almost touched, "Just you, always you," she whispered.

"“Do you ever think about that?” she asked before the words could be sucked back into her lungs. “About, um. A-About finding your––?” “Yeah,” Eddie admitted. “All the fucking time, Chrissy.” “What do you think about?” “I think,” he murmured, so low she could hardly hear him over the music playing in the next room, “that she’s a lot fucking closer than she realizes."

i have nothing to offer for hellcheer anniversary week except tiny snippets of my too many wips 🙈
here is a bit of the mechanic au for the ‘coworkers prompt’:
“Hey, Jonathan,” Eddie beckons quietly through the side of his mouth, still feeling Wayne’s warning scuff burning beneath the waves of his hair. “Jonathan…Jon…Jon… Jonny… Jonny Quest…Jon Bon Jovi.” His half brother finally gives in, rolling his eyes in heavy agitation before glancing up from the other side of the car.
“What?”
“Hey uh…” Eddie peaks over at Chrissy on the other side of the garage, working dutifully on the Prius, her headphones still in her ears. In her own little world. He’s not really bothering her if he’s asking someone else about her. Right? He cups his mouth with one hand as he whispers. “What’s the deal with Tinker Bell?”
Jonathan’s dark eyes jump over to Chrissy instantly, then back to Eddie, his face turning pink before he clears his throat loudly and gets back to work. Oh, so he’s not the only one who’s taken a fancy, apparently. “What about her? You have a problem working with a girl or something?”
“No,” Eddie feels himself bristle defensively. “Course not… just wondering how someone like her ended up in this dump…I mean, c’mon, look at her.”
The girl is beautiful and polished and tiny like she should be wearing pearls and cashmere while being courted by some frat boy at an Ivy League campus that drives the same car she’s currently tuning up. And yet here she is instead, in children’s sized coveralls with an allen wrench in her hand and a smudges of motor oil on her face.
He can tell Jonathan doesn’t appreciate the jab toward the ‘family business’, but he doesn’t care enough to argue about it. He just shrugs his shoulders dismissively as he reaches over for something from the tool box. “Why don’t you just ask her yourself?”
“Because she doesn’t talk to me,” Eddie mumbles, trying not to sound as deflated as he feels about her single syllable greetings and guarded nods of acknowledgement when she punches in. “I think she’s scared of me.”
“She’s just shy,” Jonathan replies, turning his gaze her way again empathetically. “Took her a while to warm up to the rest of us too.”
“Well you two must get along then,” Eddie mutters, rolling his own eyes now, a little sting of irrational jealousy swelling in his chest area.
“We do.” Jonathan answers flatly, keeping his eyes on the stubborn, rusted bolt he’s having trouble loosening.
“Oh yeah, are you guys an item or something?” Eddie grins, mean and pestering. It’s admittedly fun to get under Jon’s skin.
“He wishes,” Will says quietly from where he’s reading his comic book on the old leather couch by the office. Eddie didn’t even realize he was there. Jonathan gives his little brother the side eye, but ultimately ignores him.
“No, she’s got a boyfriend,” Jonathan informs him.
“Total jerk.” Will adds, turning a page.
“Ahh,” Eddie muses, smiling in amusement at young William’s side commentary. “…Serious?”
“I guess,” Jonathan answers, trying for indifference and failing. “Five years.”
“Holy shit,” Eddie chuckles away the sinking feeling in his gut. “Five years… Jesus… I’ve never been with anyone longer than five days.”
Jonathan makes an annoyed face that says I’ve never been with anyone period, asshole.
Eddie decides to steer his irritation in a mutually beneficial direction. “…So he’s a jerk?”
Jonathan meets his gaze, on the cusp of a rueful smile. “Yuppie douchebag.”
“Awful lot of chatting going on over there,” Wayne calls over from beneath the Ford. “The chief is expecting that Blazer ready by the end of the day, boys.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Eddie waves his hand in the old man’s direction dismissively, not remotely concerned about Hopper.
Jonathan gets back to work, while Eddie lets his gaze slide back to Chrissy, who’s right where he left her, that pretty little enigma. She’s gently bobbing her head along to the music, completely focused on her work, her button nose all scrunched.
Damn, she’s cute.
“Why’d you ask?” Jonathan says under his breath, and Eddie realizes that he had asked the question at least twice now.
“I dunno, curious,” he supplies easily. “Not a lot going on around here.”
Jonathan nods his head, brows furrowing in a ‘yeah, sure, bullshit’ sort of way.
“Don’t worry,” Eddie tells him a little bitterly, finally getting back to work. “Wayne’s forbade me from bothering her.”
Jonathan just snorts softly in reply and the garage quiets back into a companionable silence.

WAKE UP, HELLCHEER NATION!
It's that time of year again, where we remember the buzz of seeing Chrissy and Eddie together for the first time. These two might not have had the happiest ending in canon but we know that you guys have given them a happily ever after thousands of times in fic, art, headcanons and many more.
We can't wait to see what new stories you've made for them this year.
We'll be checking any of the following tags, or just mention us.

Fragile
For Hellcheer Anniversary Week Prompt Touch
Teen, mind the tags but they're pretty precautionary.
Chrissy thinks that's when it started. When she was little. Hair tugs and pins from sewing clothes and wanting a hug but never getting one. Most people don’t listen when she tells them she doesn’t want to be touched. So when Eddie does it almost doesn't register at first.
Went the opposite way than I usually do on this subject. Hope some of you find it interesting as I do.

@hellcheeranniversaryweek
Day three - Hanahaki Chrissy’s with the wrong person. It’s killing her more than she realizes.
The wet clump of daffodil petals almost chokes Chrissy as she gags over the toilet bowl. She coughs and coughs until she feels the mass begin to clear and she can spit out the remains of the yellow petals.
That’s not good. Last time they were red chrysanthemums. If the petals are growing and changing, it means the affliction is getting worse.
She slumps back against the bath, taking deep steady breaths. She never took breathing for granted before but it’s becoming more of a luxury these days. It’s getting hard to hide too - she’d been in class the other day when she’d felt another clump beginning to gather in her throat. She’d begged to visit the restroom and had only just made it in time to vomit blood-red petals down the sink.
There’s a furious pounding at the door and Chrissy starts, grabbing desperately for the pull-chain. The toilet sends the petals vanishing down the drain in a whirlpool of water just in time as Andrew pushes in.
“You’re supposed to knock!” Chrissy says furiously. Her mother had disabled the chain on the door a long time ago, under the guise of fearing that one of her children would get stuck in there. Chrissy had been old enough at thirteen to see through it for what it really was.
Andrew stares at her, still slumped on the floor, with something like concern creasing his features. “Are you okay?” he asks hesitantly, whatever indignation he’d previously held lost.
“Fine,” Chrissy says, rubbing at her face. She must be a hideous sight - pale and sweaty, the faint sheen of the recently sick. “I think something disagreed with me. Don’t eat meat from the cafeteria when you get to high school, okay?”
“Okay.” Andrews says and then offers her a hand up. She takes it, unsteadily getting to her feet. She knows from past experience that she needs to go lie down and drink nothing but water for a few hours.
“You’re sure you’re okay?” Andrew asks, flicking his eyes over her. Chrissy tries to smile and hopes that she doesn’t have a petal stuck in her teeth.
“Fine,” she lies and she can feel his eyes following her all the way down the corridor.
She collapses onto her bed, after kicking her door shut. It also doesn’t lock - Laura doesn’t believe much in privacy in the same way she doesn’t believe in calories - but at least she has a door.
She presses her face into the coolness of her pillow and breathes. She has homework and chores and she can’t do any of it right now. Her throat hurts, rubbed raw by thick petals and the occasional thorn and her chest aches from the heaving. She won’t be able to eat this evening but maybe that’s best. She feels as though Laura scrutinizes every bite, like she can see each one turning Chrissy into an unshapely, imperfect daughter.
She fails at everything. Daughter. Sister. Girlfriend.
She and Jason have been together since middle school. She doesn’t know how to be anything other than Jason Carver’s girlfriend. That’s all she’s known, and if she’d been anyone else, it would have been like fate and destiny laid out her life in front of her, each perfect step following the last.
But she’s not perfect. The constant effort of trying to be was choking her. So she’d decided to do something about it.
She hadn’t known. She’d gone to the woods at the back of the high school after practice and there he was. Eddie Munson.
The next day she’d woken up to find a single petal on her pillow. That had been two months ago and each day, she spits up more and more. Every time she sees him - passing in the hall, sitting with Hellfire club in the cafeteria, when he waves at her during class - she feels another clump beginning to grow in her throat.
Eddie Munson isn’t meant to be her destiny. Unfortunately, her heart says differently.
There’s a sudden knock at the door and Chrissy jolts upright, heart pounding. “Come in!” she calls and Andrew pushes in.
“I made you some tea,” he says, holding out one of their mother’s delicate rose pattern cups. Chrissy takes it, fingers trembling. She must have looked awful for Andrew to do something like this.
“Thank you,” she says and takes a sip, even though she knows that the liquid will scald her sore throat all the way down.
It’s a recurring problem of her’s, proving to be a fatal flaw. She’ll put someone else’s feelings ahead of her own wellbeing.
“Are you sure you’re feeling okay?” Andrew asks, almost hesitant to leave. Chrissy swallows and tries to not wince at the pain.
“I’m okay,” she says, the lie as bitter as the tea. “I think I’ll just skip dinner and go to bed early. I’ll be alright tomorrow.”
But she knows that she won’t. There’s only two ways out of this. But if the love isn’t reciprocated, it will only kill her faster. She’s not sure if that will be kinder, the petals choking her before everyone knows the truth.
She’s with the wrong person and it’s going to kill her.
I'm gonna go ahead and add this to 'never ending list of fics I mean to write'
Red Chrysanthemums - unrelenting love Daffodils - unrequited love

“Please,” she begged with a shaking voice, “p-please don’t eat me.”
“Eat you?!” he exclaimed, sounding just as shocked as she did terrified. “Why on earth would I do that?”
“I-isn’t that what you do? You drag women to the falls and eat them?”
“No I-“ he laughed but he looked almost…embarrassed? A slight blush colored his cheeks as he tried to clarify with another pained laugh. “No. At least…not in the way you’re thinking, little one.”

1 — BENNY'S BURGER
Eddie tried to remain as neutral-faced as possible. Chrissy had said many times how it was hard to not feel she was being judged or pitied. So he lit a cig and started to think about the scales he was trying to learn, or how to build an interestin elf clergy, or... well, anything that wasn't Chrissy looking at the smallest portion of fries in front of her as if they were pointing at her with a gun. 'Little by little' he remembered the words of Mrs Kelly, 'doesn't matter if it takes hour, just finnish the portion and don't rush to the bathroom to throw it up.' Under his eyelashes, he saw Chrissy's trembling hand picking the first fry. She hadn't added any ketchup. 'That's okay. Little by little', he thought. It would be a long afternoon, but he was going to be there for her.
