Dalla pluripremiata illustratrice di A caccia dell'orso: "È ora di andare a nanna" edito nel 2016 da Mondadori. Vado a recensirvi questo libro perché qualche giorno fa parlavo ad un'amica, mamma di due bambine, lei mi raccontava che la piccola faticava a dormire nel suo lettino, come tanti bambini dell'età di due anni; così le ho consigliato questo nuovo libro, che a mio parere faceva proprio il caso suo. "É ora di andare a nanna" racconta la storia di due bambini: Jack e Alice, che mentre giocavano in giardino si accorsero di un suono proveniente dal bosco. Alice incuriosita vuole andare a scoprire da dove arriva il suono ma Jack, ancora sulle sue, voleva andare a casa e lasciar perdere. Alice prese il fratellino per mano, lo rassicurò e tutti e due mano nella mano si diressero nel bosco. Alle porte del bosco udirono un altro suono... Cos'è questo rumore? Non mi piace per niente. E se fosse il lupo cattivo con le sue zanne feroci? Chiese Jack parecchio spaventato' Alice non voleva darsi per vinta e decise di proseguire nel bosco, il rumore si ripropose, ed ogni volta Jack era sempre più intimorito, aveva solo voglia di tornare a casa a rannicchiarsi sotto le coperte, ma Alice gli fece coraggio, dicendogli che niente sarebbe andato storto. Sentirono di nuovo il rumore, ma questa volta erano davvero vicini... Zampe feroci... Zanne voraci... IL LUPO CATTIVO! Tutto d'un tratto i ruoli dei due bambini s'invertirono Alice voleva correre a casa ma c'era qualcosa che tratteneva Jack; il lupo non era un lupo cattivo, il lupo era una mamma, una mamma lupa che stava cantando la ninna nanna ai suoi cuccioli per farli addormentare. I due bambini felici di essere stati partecipi di quell'evento, tornarono a casa, stanchi ma felici attraversarono di nuovo il bosco e arrivati a casa si infilarono nel loro lettini e si rannicchiarono sotto le coperte, era proprio arrivata l'ora di fare la nanna. La trama e le illustrazioni sono un tutt'uno, l'una non può esistere senza l'altra; nei disegni si possono percepire impressioni e stati d'animo dei protagonisti, i bambini nel leggere/guardare questo libro riusciranno a cogliere cosa provano Jack e Alice, riusciranno a condividere con loro le gioie e le paure. Sono rimasta veramente colpita da quanto queste immagini riescano a trasmettere: sentimenti, sensazioni, paure, timori, dubbi... Infatti diversi illustratori che abbiamo intervistato si ispirano a quest'abile e capace illustratrice. I colori utilizzati, sono colori tenui, esprimono calma e anche il bosco, che la maggior parte delle volte incute solo timore, in questo caso incuriosisce i bambini. Inoltre mi ha fatto molto piacere scoprire che, almeno una volta, il lupo non è cattivo, ma un lupo buono, che ha cura dei propri cuccioli. Come in: "A caccia dell'orso", anche in questo libro ritroviamo il richiamo al suono, all'onomatopee; il rumore che i bambini sentono è un terzo protagonista non ancora annunciato: mamma lupa. Per i bambini l'ululare del lupo era un solo rumore, ma per i lupetti era una dolce ninna nanna. Ad ogni cucciolo la sua mamma e ad ogni mamma la sua ninna nanna. Consigliato dai 3 anni in poi.

astoryaday -- "Who is hiding in Rabbit's burrow?" . . One day Rabbit was hopping home when he heard a loud voice come from his burrow. "I'm the GIANT JUMPEREE and I'm scary as can be!". Frightened, Rabbit asked his friend Cat for help. Certain that he could pounce the giant out, Cat slinked towards Rabbit's burrow. The voice boomed from inside and scared Cat away.  Cat asked his friend Bear for assistance. Bear was confident that he could knock the giant out of the burrow, that was until the giant began to speak. Bear ran off to get help from his friend Elephant. Elephant was positive that he could toss the giant out of the burrow. After the giant bellowed, Elephant scurried to Mama Frog. Mama knew just what to do!
