The Childhood of Gwen Stacy
Chapter 1: Gwen and Helen Stacy
Gwen always knew she was going to die young. And that was even before all this stupid multiverse stuff. After all, who outlives their own mother.
__
Most girls have mothers. Someone who is always there for them and loves them unconditionally. But all she has left of her mother is memories.
She always wished for more than just memories, though. Maybe that's why she sought out mother figures, from May to Jess. But no one can replace your mom. But what else is a girl supposed to do when your mom died when you were only six?
__
One of the things Gwen remembers about her mom was how loving she was. Helen Stacy was always kind, loving, there for Gwen, and the best hugger. She could use that right now. A long, loving hug. But no, she's here alone, with no place to really call home, longing for any piece of her mother.
She wondered why these memories were hitting her so hard today? Maybe it was the fact she needed her mom right now. She needed Helen's advice on what to do, how to fix everything, and how to find Miles. Most of all, she needed Helen's unconditional love and a nice long hug to cry her heart out into.
__
It didn't matter what day it was or how many times she said it. When Gwen got home, she would always run into her mother's arms and scream, "Mommy, mommy, guess what I did!"
But no matter how many times she said the exact same thing, Helen Stacy would still unfailingly scoop Gwen up and spin her around, saying, "Yes, baby? What happened today?" and then squeeze her so long until Gwen felt smothered with love.
It never bothered her, though. The smothering. She loved it so much. The way she could feel the way her mother loved her was by the hands wrapped around her.
Gwen got that from her mom. The clinginess, the way she wanted to squeeze people in a hug until she forgot all the problems she was dealing with and could only focus on how loved she felt.
__
Ballet was an escape. A way for her to keep her mind off of well… everything. But before that, it was a pure, undiluted love that had her starting to dance. Everything about it called to Gwen. When she spun, it felt like she was flying; when Gwen danced, it felt like she was in her own world. How did her love of ballet first blossom, though?
Her entire life, she grew up around ballet. It was her and her mom's thing. It started with every Friday night watching a ballet. Soon, Gwen became obsessed and begged her mom to play a ballet show or performance as much as she could, which Helen gladly obliged.
Most likely because Helen herself absolutely loved ballet. So much so that Helen had tried to be a professional ballerina. Helen used to practice from sunrise to sunset, but all her plans came undone when her leg was broken by some supervillain of the week.
Luckily, her leg had healed enough that Helen could still dance, but she had different plans now. She wanted to stop the supervillains who did this to her and wanted to make the world a safer place for her family.
This didn't stop Helen from still loving ballet, though. She would dance around the house all the time. The love of ballet was passed onto her daughter, too. Little Gwen would always try to copy her mom. One day, Gwen finally went up to Helen after they finished watching The Nutcracker; her lip trembled, and her eyes shook. She asked, "Mommy, can I do ballet?"
This is the part Gwen still remembers to this day. Her mom had a look in her eyes of such pride and love. Tears slipped out of her eyes, and Helen screeched. "Yes! Yes! Of course, darling! You're going to be the best ballerina ever!"
__
Maybe that's why, even after everything, she still does ballet. After all, she couldn't bring anything from home after everything with her dad, so ballet is the only thing she can hold onto and remember her mom with.
__
When you ask a kid what smell they associated their parent with, some kids will say fresh baked goods, flowers, or maybe even beer. Gwen would've wished for any of those rather than what she actually got. Instead, the only smell she can associate with her mom is the sharp tang of ammonia.
Gwen only remembers what their house smelled like after everything, never before.
It started some random day. Their house began to smell more and more like ammonia. One day, when Gwen came home, everything had been scrubbed spotless and pristine, but the one thing still crystal clear was the rancid stench of ammonia. It filled every one of her nostrils so much that she questioned how she was able to breathe.
Even to this day, Gwen can't smell ammonia without tearing up and remembering everything.
__
The ammonia wasn't the thing that bothered Gwen. No, what really bothered Gwen was that the stronger the ammonia seemed to get, the less her mom became her mom.
It started slow. When Gwen tried to run into her mom's arms after coming home, her mom didn't catch in to spin her anymore. Then, her mom didn't dance around the house anymore. Then, finally, she was in bed all the time instead of tucking Gwen in and saying she loved her.
Helen was always tired now. Gwen would try to lie in bed with her mom and tell her about her day, but her dad always seemed to cut their time short together more and more. "She needs her sleep," she would always tell her.
Gwen was optimistic that her mom would get better. But her mom got paler and thinner as the days passed, and Helen's hair kept falling out.
Gwen finally realized something was wrong when she tried to get into her mom's room and hug her mom. But her mom wasn't there anymore. Instead of the bright, full-of-life eyes that Gwen grew up around, she was staring at a pair of blank, emotionless eyes that didn't seem to recognize her.
After that, she couldn't stop crying. Her dad tried to comfort her by saying it would All get better soon. He was lying, though, and they both knew it. Gwen was a noisy little girl, and she noticed everything. From how her mom's smile failed to reach her eyes anymore, Helen hadn't left her bed in two weeks, and her dad wouldn't look her in the eyes when he said everything would be okay.
__
Gwen can't remember anything that happened before, only during and after.
__
She was in a car. Her dad's car, but it was early. Her dad never picked her up early. And her dad had tears falling down his face. He never cried. She got that from him.
It clicked to her then what had happened. Even though George hadn't said a word.
Gwen never really understood the concept of death as a child. All she knew was that there would no longer be any hugs when she got home from school. No mommy and daughter ballet days. And no more mom around who would love her unconditionally. Now, she was alone.
__
Would everything have been different if Helen had been around?
Maybe. Hopefully. Because then Gwen could've had the courage to stand up to Miguel. To be open with Miles. And to change all this stupid multiverse stuff.
__
She just hoped that maybe in another universe, she and her mom could have had a different ending.

.... coming to realize that the differences in 616 vs 65 gwens' gender presentation and behavior comes down to gwen's mother, and how and when she leaves gwen's life.
616 gwen's mother died of an unspecified illness when she was in high school. so gwen spent all of her childhood and much of her adolescence with her mother-- who, as a housewife and Person Living In The 60s, would've been the primary parent.
she's preppy and stylish, and was even a beauty queen.... but her looks don't actually come naturally to her: when gwen's first introduced in 1965, she still dresses like it's the late 50s, and it takes the introduction of mj (... a model, and future best friend of gwen) for her to update her hairstyle and start dressing more contemporary. and even then, there's a lot of tacky leopard print and way too much hippie fringe: gwen's trying a little too hard to look trendy. so presumably, her mother was the one dressing her (and sending her to beauty pageants). without her gwen knew enough to dress appropriately (read: feminine) and do her hair and makeup, but couldn't adapt to the times until she had a female friend to guide her.
she has great bedside manner when peter's sick. it probably came from when she was taking care of her sick mother-- her dad's always at the station, so gwen was probably the one looking after her, if not her primary caretaker.
she's probably a practicing christian, given it being the late 60s-early-70s, and that her mother had a christian burial. gwen grew up religious and probably stayed that way.
she lives in a nice apartment/townhome with her dad.
she's polite, a rule-follower and a star student who won a scholarship to empire state. she's great at science and a future chemistry major. she went to standard prep, despite being the daughter of a police officer and a housewife and therefore not nearly as wealthy as the other kids who went there (like harry son-of-a-billionaire osborn or darius leclerc, whose dad's a famed architect and mom's a doctor)... which suggests she was on a scholarship... and that her mom put in some work at home to make sure gwen became a good student, and socially to get her into the Nice School so she could rub elbows with rich kids.
she's popular enough to run for class president and win. she throws parties where the whole class turns up and she plays hostess. she juggles boys easily and was dating since high school (and pulled the big man on campus who's rich, athletic, nice, smart AND handsome). probably because her mother taught her all her social graces: how to make and keep friends, what kinds of people to surround yourself with, how to respond when boys like you.
so gwen's girlboss tendencies come from her mother: her ambition, her focus, her ability to mingle with just the right people to advance socially, either as a housewife (... it was the 60s; society was what it was) or as a career woman (which is what she would have been). all of it came from her mom.***
[***note: tasm gwen's mom is alive. interestingly, the family's more well-off, and gwen has two little brothers. so if her mother had lived, she'd probably be increasing the family's financial standing by contributing a second income. and if she'd stayed healthy, the stacys would have had more children. her mother's lack of career is due to the 1960s housewife default, but seems to be evolving into an understanding that she had one... but got too sick to continue.]
... given that sam bullit implies gwen's father was a liberal icon in 616's early '70s nyc, yet gwen herself seems much more middle-of-the-aisle... her mom was probably the conservative parent.
also this is more miscellaneous but 616-gwen likes to bake. she probably did it with, and eventually for, her mother. (plus, since baking is basically chemistry, maybe this is how gwen discovers that passion.)
so it follows that gwen-65, whose mother died when she was a baby (according to mcguire) or a young girl (implied by latour), is quite different.
she dresses like she rolled out of bed in ratty, oversized t-shirts, jeans or shorts, and pretty much the only time she ever wears a skirt or dress is when she wants to impress someone. she wears no makeup and has a choppy haircut. and even when her look cleans up a bit later on, it's all bella swan couture: basic t-shirts, leggings and jeans. her cop dad probably never figured out how to dress his daughter, and gwen is simply not a fashionable person.
she's a geek who likes adult fantasy novels, old cop shows, kung-fu movies and rock music. all of which would've likely been introduced to her by her father, who would've had to spend more time with her as he's her only parent.
in her character file, her mother's described as a free spirit and musician (and that gwen gets these qualities from her), so gwen's interest in drumming probably was a hybrid of attempting to feel closer to her via making music, and having a dad who wouldn't enroll her in, say, the typical girl music activities like piano or voice lessons (which mothers, who tend to dictate after-school activities, would probably gravitate towards).
she completely lacks a bedside manner because she never had to take care of her mother when she was ill.
she eats a ton of fast food and never cooks. her mom wasn't around to teach her. (... and if gwen's talent in chemistry was discovered through baking with her mother, she never had that experience. instead, she feels close to her mom through music.)
her mom had a christian burial but the stacys aren't religious-- so without her in the picture, her father stops practicing and gwen's fully out of the faith by high school, if not sooner.
she and her father live in peter's lower-middle-class queens neighborhood. meaning they have to be worse off financially than gwen616. which follows: if gwen's mom died much younger, that's nineteen years of george having to provide for gwen with one income.
she's a subpar student at midtown high who drops out of college to chase her music passion and takes fun liberal arts blowoff classes when she does re-enroll. so without her mom around to make sure she's studying, gwen never developed those habits (and therefore never found an interest in science). and without her mom to advocate for her, the best her dad could do was send her to public high school.
she has no social graces. she sat in the corner with the outcast kids (interesting that harry's social status depends on gwen's; when she's popular, he's her purse dog. when she's a loser, he's hiding under the bleachers with her), never cared about popularity contests or school spirit, she was ignored by most of the student body and got violent with bullies. she doesn't date and has no clue how to behave when someone likes her (and pulled not one but two fellow losers). because her mother wasn't around to teach her high school socialization or dating politics. and there's no way a cop dad's gonna teach his daughter how to get a boyfriend.
... she's uninterested in dating boys in particular and keeps gravitating towards queer girls. probably in part because without her mother around to enforce compulsory heterosexuality, there was room for gwen to explore something else.
and without her mother to push gwen into girlbossing her way to the top, it's a lot easier for her to disown her white feminist tendencies and become much more radical.
though given that helen-65 was a free spirit... maybe she wouldn't have. maybe the stacy parents' political leanings flipped here. regardless, the absence of her mother pushing her to conform to the way things are, either because she's not around or that's not the kind of person she was, remains important.
gwen-65 specifically takes after 1610 gwen, whose mother is alive-- but abandoned the family to live in chicago with a man she was cheating on george with.
a troubled rocker girl with a violent temper and a lack of interest in school, who sneaks off every night to party and mess around with college boys, pulls knives on bullies and stops living with her dad to move in with peter and may.
she also transfers to midtown right after her parents' divorce. again, loss of that second income = financial woes probably contributed to her not going to the Fancy School anymore.
gwen's rocker attitude isn't political, like spider-gwen's is. it's about rebelling against her parents and specifically lashing out at her mom by becoming something she'd hate out of spite. subconsciously, it's probably an attempt to make her mom so upset that she'd come back to discipline her. and it didn't work.
(... so before the family imploded, she was probably a lot closer to 616-gwen in behavior. the rebellion only works if there's a clear change.)
spiderverse gwen... is even more complicated. spiderverse gwen's mom was around longer than in the comics, given that gwen has a gift from her in her drumset, which implies she decided to keep it (and therefore that gwen was old enough to make that choice; a toddler would not do that, but an elementary or middle schooler would; and we know helen was gone by the time gwen got powers, so she died/left between 5 and 13). so there are some interesting ripple effects.
first, the elephant in the room: atsv-gwen is trans-coded, but itsv-gwen really isn't; that intention clearly changed between movies, is not mentioned anywhere in either script, and probably came about much later into production than people think.
(to be thorough-- gwen's involvement in dance, more feminine appearance and need for a relationship with a boy could also be influenced by her transness: she wants to be a girl, so she tries to get there by clinging to things society agrees are reserved for girls [ballet, certain clothes, romances with boys]. her drumming and interests in conventionally masculine hobbies stem from having been socialized as a boy when she was younger. and gwen gravitates towards male friends and keeps the mary janes at arm's length because she's used to socializing with boys, and she's not sure if this specific group of sapphic girls are gonna be cool with her being trans, or if they're That Kind Of Lesbian.)
but since it's still coding and not explicit representation, and since they definitely didn't account for gwen being trans until the second movie, i'm gonna have to assume gwen's upbringing is intended to have been that of a cis girl's. so to expand on that--
gwen's poise and discipline is canonically linked to having been a ballerina (and possibly a gymnast too, if her dad's visions sweatshirt refers to her). via word of god circa itsv's release, gwen's ballet shoes contrasted with her alt hairstyle/piercing are meant to imply a conflict between what her parents want her to be (a dancer) and what she wants to be (a drummer), so dancing came before drumming, and gwen didn't choose to be a ballerina. and spiderverse gwen's mother was probably the one who put her in dance class, which for ballet starts when you're very young.
as for gwen watching cartoons and playing with action figures as a kid... she would've grown up in the 2000s, when that's not exactly discouraged in girls (especially when they're young, like gwen was, and there's an unspoken assumption that they'll 'grow out of it' -- like gwen did). it's not the 60s anymore.
similarly: in the 2010s, it's normal for girls to wear pants. the gender expectations are more subtle: they're more about how 'unisex' clothes are cut, designed and fitted. so though we see gwen wearing shorts, they're tight cutoffs. her t-shirts show off her midriff and bra straps. her sweatshirt's a scoop-neck. she wears leggings. all things that wouldn't be encouraged for boys to wear. it's a middle ground between 616 gwen's preppy but outdated femininity and 65a gwen's grungy androgyny-- which follows if her mother had enough influence in her appearance growing up that it's still lingering, but enough time has passed that gwen's starting to let go of it as she gravitates towards the punk style of her band-- again, gwen's taking cues from an mj.
-> additionally, there are makeup brushes on gwen's vanity, she's wearing some on the night of the dance, and she has painted nails when the spider bites her. since her mom was in her life longer, she probably taught her how to use makeup, or gwen at least grew up watching her do it.
she's supposedly as good a student as miles-- which follows if her mom was around to make sure she developed good study habits when she was little. and gwen might go to visions instead of standard or midtown because her mom had just enough influence on her academics to make her eligible for the gifted kids school lottery, but wasn't around to leverage her into the rich kid prep academy. (... gwen going to a school where she boards on weeknights might have had another purpose too: if her father was unprepared to care for her on his own, she needed somewhere else to stay on days when he's on call)
she's much more romantically motivated, which would follow if gwen's mom was around long enough to begin enforcing compulsory heterosexuality. and she still has that clearly-queer female friend group, but seems far less attached to them, and centers her interactions with men and boys. which follows, if she's used to looking for male validation and had just enough leeway from her absent dad to start checking out other girls... but less time to do so because mom was around longer.
gwen says grace at dinner with her dad and the parkers. so it looks like her dad's the religious one this time. and the parkers are christians and not jewish. weird. saying 'they're doing it to be respectful of the stacys' feels too generous, the creators probably forgot.
gwen lives in a nice, but not fancy, manhattan apartment. somewhere between 65a and 616, financially. which follows: her mom left the picture sooner, but not as soon as 616.
there's concept art of gwen cooking and picking up groceries, and takeout boxes are piled up in the apartment when gwen returns after months with the society: she was the one doing the cooking for her and her father. which follows if her mom was around long enough to cook and grocery shop with her-- and to communicate to gwen that those are chores that would be expected of her.
so the vibe is that spiderverse-gwen was primarily raised by her mother as a child and then at some point in her adolescence she Suddenly Wasn't Anymore.
some of the deeper-ingrained habits stayed--like dance training, being a good student, compulsory heterosexuality
others never arrived at all-- like knowing how to behave when meeting a boyfriend's parents (she's never had that talk).
and some are being traded out now that there's no one around to enforce them anymore (dancing -> drumming. boyfriends and prom dresses -> a queer rock band, an eyebrow piercing and a half- shaved head. still going to the dance with a boy and wearing the prom dress, but only after it's been ripped up and a leather jacket was thrown on top)
her 65a/1610-esque temper and rebellious qualities might stem from gwen either grieving her mother's more recent loss or lashing out at her absence. maybe there was a more drastic shift in her behavior after her mom left the picture.
and her attachment to jess definitely comes from gwen seeing her as a replacement mother figure. she literally says as much when she blurts out that she wants jess to adopt her. gwen yearns for an older female mentor.
anyway. it seems standard at this point that gwen's curiosity, stubbornness, temper, loyalty and analytical personality-- and her always-initial trust in the police/government/systems of power-- come from her father. that's been brought up a few times and remains true throughout different continuities because captain stacy always sticks around, therefore his relationship with his daughter is pretty constant. and in continuities where gwen becomes more counterculture, that mirrors her relationship with her dad getting more strained or antagonistic.
gwen's social status, sense of style, hobbies and interests, manners and romantic leanings all come from her mother-- either through direct influence, or through her absence.
.... on that note i REALLY want to see a gwen stacy who grows up with a dead or absent dad and living mom (maybe even with that chicago stepdad-- who is he?! would she have stepsiblings?) and see what changes there.

Spider Quinn 07: Ashes to Ashes - Part 6
Quinn was doing her homework in the loungeroom when she heard the doorbell. She went and opened it. She saw Stacy, Tiffany and Tori. “Come in,” she said.
“Is Linda here?” Stacy asked as she and the others entered.
“I think she is out looking for a job,” Quinn answered.
“Good!” Stacy said. “I mean, she can’t just stay here.”
“That’s true,” Quinn said as she lead the way to the kitchen.
It wasn’t long before Daria arrived home. She was annoyed.
“What’s wrong?” Stacy asked.
“Nothing.”
“Doesn’t seem like nothing,” Quinn said.
Daria sighed. “Jane wasn’t there, at the Pizza place.”
“She wasn’t?” Tori asked.
“No, she said she had to do something,” Daria answered.
“Oh,” Stacy said.
“But just for today. It’s rare that she spends time with her mother.”
“The Lane’s mother in Lawndale?” Tori asked. “That is rare.”
“And I see that it’s not unknown.”
“My older sister was a classmate of one of her older sisters,” Tori said with a shrug.”
Daria nodded. She grabbed some water and biscuits and headed up to her room.
Linda and Helen would get back at the same time. But it wouldn’t be long before something happened. Quinn’s friends were still there.
Paula arrived there again, and she wasn’t alone. Helen answered the door and saw that Fields was with her.
“I see that you have found out something,” Helen said to Fields.
“Yes. ‘Linda’ is in fact Paula’s daughter Jenna,” Fields said.
Paula and Fields joined Helen, Quinn, Daria and Stacy in the Dining Room. Both Daria and Stacy had notepads in front of them. Tiffany and Tori were out in the lounge room in case ‘Linda’ were to cause issues with the other people there.
“I’m sorry that I hadn’t been able to get back to you earlier,” Fields said to Helen.
“That’s fine. I know that these things can take time,” Helen said.
“As for what happened…” Fields said. He indicated Paula.
“Jenna has had a hard life. Suffice it to say, she wanted to distance herself from her past. I didn’t expect her to run off to some town in Pennsylvania pretending to be someone else.”
“What I don’t understand is, how did Jenna get her hands on Linda’s diary?” Daria asked.
“That I have no answer to,” Paula said.
“Neither do I,” Fields said. “But I am keeping that line of inquiry open.
Daria nodded. “One thing I did notice when she arrived.”
“Yes?” Fields said.
“Quinn dyed her hair after our father’s passing.”
“That I did,” Quinn interrupted.
“I have a point here,” Daria said.
“Go on,” Quinn said in an encouraging tone.
“I noticed that ‘Linda’ didn’t say anything about her hair color changing. But I had dismissed it as unimportant,” Daria continued.
“Good note,” Fields said.
“But what now?” Stacy asked.
“That is a difficult question,” Helen said. “She has chosen to come to Lawndale for a new start. But she is also effectively stealing someone’s identity.”
“That’s true,” Stacy said with a frown.
“Yes, but you would know more about the legal technicalities,” Fields said to Helen.
“It’s not my area,” Helen admitted, “but yes, she has broken some laws there.”
“So, she would have to turn herself in?” Quinn asked.
“Maybe,” Helen said.
“No!” Paula said.
“No?” Helen said.
“She needs help, not legal complications,” Paula said.
“That may be true,” Helen said.
“I won’t turn her in,” Fields said.
“You won’t?” Paula said.
“No, while I do work for Vitale et al on retainer, I work for myself. I’m no Pinkerton.”
“And that’s good,” Daria said.
“So, we need to leave it to her to make a decision?” Stacy asked.
“Yes,” Helen said. “She can go back to Montana, or stay in Lawndale. It is that the latter would be fraught with risk if this comes out.”
“To everyone here,” Daria added.
“Yes,” Helen said.
“So, we ask her and lay all this out?” Paula asked rhetorically.
Meanwhile, Tori saw Linda come down the stairs.
“You know what’s going on right?” Linda asked.
“Yes,” Tori answered.
“And you’re Quinn’s friend?”
“I think so,” Tori answered. “This is my first time here. I’ve only just started hanging out with her the past couple of days.”
“Oh, after what happened with that Sandi?”
“Yes.”
“Anyway, I see how Quinn is handling her father’s death, compared to Daria and Helen. I admit it’s only been the past several days. But it seems that she’s quite a lot stronger than I am,” Linda said.
“You mean that something similar happened?”
“Yes, but I don’t want to go into it with someone I just met,.”
“I can understand that,” Tori said.
“In fact, taking the identity of a deceased Texan probably was a wrong decision.”
“Like you could have just made a new identity up.”
“Probably, but that would have been more difficult. No records, for instance,” Linda said. She pulled at her hair. “I think I should be myself.”
“So, Jenna, right?” Tori asked, Helen and Quinn having told her earlier.
“Yes, Jenna, not Linda,” Jenna said. “Come up stairs.”
“Now?” Tori asked.
“There’s something I need to do.”
Helen sent out Quinn to find Linda/Jenna. “Where did Tori go?” she asked Tiffany.
“Upstairs,” Tiffany answered. “Linda is Jenna again, apparently.”
“Right,” Quinn said.
Upon going upstairs she heard something from the bathroom. “What is going on in there?”
She entered the bathroom to find Tori using clippers on Jenna’s head, giving her a buzz cut. “Tori?”
“A few moments and it will be done,” Tori said as she removed some hair.
“Sure,” Quinn said.
It was less than a minute before Jenna looked at herself in the mirror. The shoulder length hair she had grown before deciding to find the Morgendorffers was gone. She saw a youngish woman who needed help. More than Helen Morgendorffer and her daughters could give her. She broke down in tears. “Thank you,” she said to Tori.
“You’re welcome,” Tori said.
“We better get down there,” Quinn said, gently.
Jenna blinked back her tears. “I’m ready.”
Quinn led Tori and Jenna into the Dining Room.
“I know I’m not Linda,” Jenna said.
“So, you admit it?” Helen asked.
“Yes, one reason why I did this,” Jenna said, running her hand over her now rather short hair.
“I knew I’d reach you in some way,” Paula said.
“Huh?” Daria asked.
“She usually had her hair quite short,” Paula answered.
“I see,” Helen said.
“And so, I’ll be leaving Lawndale,” Jenna said.
“Are you sure?”
“I don’t want to impose on you too much longer,” Jenna said sadly. “I’ll leave tomorrow,”
“But what about the legal implications?” Daria asked.
“I won’t press matters,” Helen said.
“That I took Linda’s identity. I apologise for that,” Jenna said.
“Apology accepted,” Helen said.
There wasn’t much more to talk about. It was agreed that Jenna would leave in the morning. Then Fields and Paula left, to come back in the morning,
Tori, Stacy and Tiffany then left to go home afterwards.
“What do you think of that situation?” Stacy asked Tori.
“Quite unusual,” Tori said. “I hope it’s rare.”
“Me too,” Stacy said with more than her usual nervousness. “That someone may not be who they say they are, it’s frightening.”
“I suppose that if it happens again, you can go to Mrs. Morgendorffer about it,” Tori said.
Stacy perked up a bit. “True.”

Flash flood destroyed my house
I hate asking for donations, and i hate giving away my personal info online, but I don't have another option.
Hurricane Helene caused a flashflood that hit my house while I was all alone, and my dad had to fight water to get into it with me and help rescue our animals. Unfortunately once he got in, the water kept rising and we were totally trapped for five full hours.
Thankfully, my dad took a lot of wild videos of flooding and one has gone viral which is giving our name a lot of support towards our fundraising. I want to ask if anyone here can please help us by donating anything and/or sharing the link.
there are more videos and updates on my insta: hikkikoumori
Pictures + my dads video under the cut:
Note: before anyone says anything I keep seeing on facebook - we were NOT evacuated. this all happened in the span of less than an hour and i was asleep. the attic was an absolute last resort for if the water got too high to stand in.
my instagram has a couple videos taken during the flood + a walkthrough of our house now. In the video you will notice many things look untouched, but it is the structure that is most concerning because this is the second flood it has survived, the first being in 1998.
donations will go towards renovations to get it livable again.
also, these are just random pictures, the video captures a more intense moment these are from when things were slowing down

Tumblr media
content/warnings: mentions of underage drinking, implied & mentions of death
a/n: hey 😁 a levels beating my arse. thx 2 @qiupachups 4 helping w these 🫡 give it up for gwendy ‼️ (unedited)
Gwen is a collector — but not of collectibles. She has a secret empire of the most random things, and is thoroughly embarrassed when anyone finds it: tickets, pins, soda can tabs, cool-looking clothing tags, mismatched hair clips, paper clips, little things stolen from school, etc. Anything she things is remotely interesting has a place in a very specifically organised box under her bed, tucked away from the world and taken out occasionally to be adjusted or stared at. It's essentially the same as being a collector, right...?
She had a fashion hobby she grew out of, but it re-kindles when she has to design a suit for herself. Initially, it's made up of thermal sportswear but she comes up with actual designs at some point, modifying it overtime to include the hood and to integrate it with her ballet slippers.
When it comes to art, Gwen's style would be a lot like a fashion student's. I headcanon her to have aphantasia so her main strength is drawing clothing, and a lot of her drawings are based on herself as a reference (she can literally only draw herself well...) Rather than a sketchbook, she has a journal that's also full of photographs and writing as well as her drawings, and the occasional crumpled up drum score.
Has a knack for sewing and customises some of her clothes, though it's more personal touches and the occasional crop rather than completely overhauling a piece of clothing. Everyday items of hers have at least a little embroidery or design on them and she likes doing patterns on like bags and converse for her friends. Wants to make plushies and things but always manages to get distracted so there's a bunch of unfinished projects in her closet. (I would totally buy from her on Etsy though 😁)
Gwen did ballet as a kid and developed the enraging habit of cracking EVERY joint in her body. She's the mf that twists in the chair in front of you and stares deep into your soul while cracking her back. Cracks things you don't even know you could crack without shame my girl is a whole instrument 😭
Ballet is something her dad pushed her towards, alongside music (though he preferred she did something more traditional). Initially Gwen did feel out of place in her classes. A lot of the other children at her classes were already well-versed in it, and a lot of times she found she wanted to quit. Only after learning that her mom Helen did ballet did she willingly pick it up again at an older age, incorporating the technique into her fighting style.
Gwen used to play a few different instruments as a kid but none of them really stuck. For a while, she thought she hated music when she did piano and the recorder, but when she got her hands on a drumkit at her school and a couple lessons, she knew it was the one.
Her drumming is definitely more freestyle, and even though she's good she has a lot of problems with her high energy, spontaneous and emotive style. That means she breaks her drumsticks ALL the time. There's no way she's banging all that out on the drums without an unfortunate snap or two, so she always keeps another pair handy. She's broken her drumsticks so much that there's a collection of them torn up at the bottom of her bag (she never bothers to throw them out, and might've given herself a splinter reaching in to find something 💀)
Speaking of drumsticks, she has one lucky pair she uses for important performances, carrying them practically everywhere. They've essentially rotted in their fancy little fabric case since she'd gottem them, the custom "GWENDOLYN MAXINE STACY" imprinted on it having almost completely eroded away.
Though, she's only ever used them once; her dad had bought them for her for a school performance, which she had to bail last minute when her Spider-sense suddenly activated. Running off to fight a villain not a street away, Peter Parker follows her, and he realises just who Spider-Woman really is.
While she was planning to use them at her prom performance with her band... that never happened. After that, everything reminded her of that night, and her relationship with The Mary Janes dwindled until she quit altogether. The band only lasted a few months prior, and since they never got to perform at prom, Gwen found herself playing for no reason at all, other than to get rid of her pent-up energy and forget about the fact that she's basically a wanted criminal.
When she's living in Hobie's universe, she ends up breaking her "lucky" drumsticks and is, understandably, a little shattered by it, but Hobie gets her another pair, "GWENDY" written in mismatched letters on the side. That "G" was definitely a last-minute addition, though. He also teaches her how to stop breaking them so often. "Bit of advice — use the wrists, not just the arms."
Gwen's definitely not meant to drink, so whenever Hobie goes to the pub he makes sure not to, suggesting his friends don't get pissed out of their minds either (though she might steal a sip of something fruity now and again.)
Hobie takes her to gigs all the time, and sometimes she drums for his ones. The first time she does it, she's nervous of course, but her sound immediately gets the crowd going and it's the talk of the town for a week straight (and her drumsticks didn't break!)
There's no shortage of junk food, of course. Just like all the takeout she'd have back at home, Hobie would make sure to take her around all the local spots. Although it's not exactly the same, anything beats the plasticky cafeteria food in 2099. Stopping for a kebab or two in the middle of anomaly-hunting isn't really against the rules anyway.
Gwen is friendly with pretty much everyone in the Spider-society because everyone knows who "Gwen Stacy" is, but she never really wants to meet another version of herself (given how unsettling it is with context). Also very awkward around any MJs — or Peters. Peter B essentially being an older 65!Peter definitely freaks her out a little at first.
Misses Miles, obviously, and probably had something she wanted to make for him back in her universe that she could never retrieve. Maybe when she gets Hobie's watch she'll bring it along with her — would Miles like a knitted neckwarmer?
SO best friends with Margo. Her tech lets Gwen see into her universe sometimes (Miguel wouldn't let her 😞) and Margo is super keen on learning about her universe. They both hang out with Peni and it's a fun little girl trio (Peni totally takes them to her universe to see all the giant mechs 😁 "Girls night!" BOOM!)
Number 1 girlfail. She hasn't broken those new drumsticks yet! But drumming can wait — and all those projects at the back of her closet, and her unresolved dispute with MJ and the band, and her dad at home. Going from her small world to having an entire multiverse against her and her friends, Gwen's got one hell of a show to put on, right?
“I never found the right band to join, so I started my own, with a few old friends.”
“You want in?”
🩰🕸️💫

It's Okay
"Look how big he is" Stacy yelled in my ear. It was loud the music and the woman screaming. I wanted to just hide somewhere. Stacy had dragged me to an all male review with her best friend, Beth and her sister, Helen. All three where already drunk. Stacy kept pointing out the guys to me. At first the bouncers weren't going to let me in but after Stacy showed them my pink whale tail they waved me thru laughing.
This had started about two months ago. Stacy just came out and asked me one night over dinner.
"Paul why are you wearing my panties when I'm not home?"
"What?" I gasped almost choking on my food.
"I mean it is obvious that you are wearing my panties and some other things. I just am wondering why" Stacy continued.
"Stac I" I stuttered taking a drink of water.
"These where pretty expensive" Stacy explained placing a pair of stockings on the table.
"if you had asked i would of gotten you some of your own earlier" stacy informed me handing me a tiny bag from victoria secrets.
"Go put these on" she smiled. I peeked in the bag to see a pair of pink satin panties with ruffled trim. I went to speak.
"Don't try and deny anything. Go try them on and come back and show me" she insisted. I was caught but she wasn't mad. I grabbed the bag and went to change. I came out wearing only the panties. My penis throbbing trying to break free.
I came out a bit shy. stacy took my hand and led me to the bedroom not letting me finish eating.
"I haven't been with a woman since college" she told me pushing me back on the bed. She was naked in seconds. She crawled into bed and laid next to me kissing me she rubbed my nipples and gropped my ass. She was in control. I didn't fight when she positioned herself and sat on my face. As I licked and sucked she pulled down my panties and licked my ass. She grabbed lube from somewhere and worked her fingers in my ass, first one then two . She had three fingers pumping my ass as she came on my tounge.
Our sex life changed after that. She bought me several pairs of panties and would not let me fuck her. Instead I would preform oral or use one of her toys to fuck her. She would use her hand or mine to make me cum. Often training my ass. At first she called me her little lesbian bitch. But then I was her faggot. She started teasing me about taking a cock in my mouth and ass.
Stacy also had me try bras, stockings, even a dress. As she applied makeup to my face and have me beg for her strapon cock.
She would have me watch gay porn as she jerked me off.
I about fainted the first time she told her sister. Helen that i was her person little want to be faggot. She pulled my pants down showing her my panties. Helen in turn told my mother in law, her Aunt, and basicly her whole side of the family. Then of course it spread and Beth found out. Along with some other friends. They encouraged Stacy to leave me. But instead Stacy told me she would stay with me but needed a real man. So she would start cuckolding me. But I could remain her lesbian lover.
Soon I realized everyone knows. I catch the girls at work laughing to themselves as the walk by. My guy friends avoid me.
I come home early one day to find Stacy's car in the garage. As I go inside I find her naked on the bed.
"Hey baby you're home early" she said as she went to cover herself up. Then paused with a smile.
"Would you like to taste my lover off of me?" She asked suddenly.
"What?" I asked.
"Wohld you like to eat his cum out of my slutty used cunt?" She laughed tossing the covers on the floor spreading her legs.
"Of course you do faggot" she laughed. "Come on taste a real man" as if under a spell I couldn't resist her. I licked and sucked her lovers cum off of her.
"I bet you are so jealous that I get to suck cock, and have men fuck me with there big hard cocks. Thats what you want isn't it. Men with big cocks to use you" Stacy teased as I continued to lick her clit.
After that Stacy upped the game. I spent hours every day with a plug buried in my ass. Or sucking on her strapon. She made up my face as whoreish as she could. And even introduced me to wearing mini skirts and dresses. She documented it all taking pics and sharing them online.
After only 3 days I was begging her to find a man to use me. That very day she made me all girlie and invited a man over to have me.
I was scared and shaking as he stripped. He had me take his thick cock in his mouth. Stacy smiled and closed the door. For the next 30 minutes this man took me. He was gentile but firm. He knew what he wanted and instructed me. He finished deep inside me ass before he left. Only then did Stacy return.
"I knew you make a good faggot" she laughed. She was right I could not wait to do it all again.

Continuing the series Miles and Gwen plague my thoughts, Morales-Stacy family version 😃
I personally like the original idea of the Earth-8 comic but I'll improve it with my touch.
First, I love that Miles and Gwen share last names. It's important both because it shows that Miles and Gwen are still their individual people, but they also love sharing each other's lives and that hyphenating shows that.
Their eldest daughter is not called Charlotte, but Elena. Elena Rio Morales-Stacy. In honor of her two grandmothers, since Elena is the Latin spelling of Helen, and Rio is kind of obvious, in addition to being a name that means light, which it would be for Miles and Gwen.
As for Max, his name is Aaron George Jefferson Morales-Stacy. Because there was no way Miles would stop honoring the most important men in his life, and Gwen would do it for her father too. Not to mention that the meaning of strong would be very appropriate.
Elena is 4 years older than Aaron and they would both have a good relationship with each other, despite normal sibling tensions. You know, sharing things, telling on each other, fighting on the roof of the house and breaking a chandelier once…
They would easily be the most beautiful children you would ever see in your life, I mean… have you looked at Miles and Gwen? The genes these kids inherited are insane! Beauty runs in the family blood.
I like to think that they are both a perfect balance of Miles and Gwen, and that Elena inherited Gwen's eyes while Aaron inherited Miles's. They would have curly hair and their skin tone would be more similar to Rio's.
To Rio's pride, btw, the two are bilingual, in addition to being well involved in the cultures of both parents. When Gwen became pregnant for the first time, she and Miles had a serious conversation about how they would raise their children, so both Elena and Aaron were raised in a Spanish-only household until they went to school. As Gwen at this point already spoke fluent Spanish, it wasn't a problem. Rio and Jeff also greatly influenced Elena and Aaron's early years of creation. You need to be proud of your roots after all!
Elena and Aaron, like their parents, would have a spider bond with each other, this being fraternal rather than the parents' obviously romantic one. Which would make them both very protective of each other, always letting them know that one is in danger. However, being her mother's daughter, Elena is the more protective of the two.
And this happens because Elena has a ridiculously refined and sensitive spider sense, something that Gwen suspects comes from herself, since from the films, it seems that Gwen has a spider sense beyond the ordinary and Elena would inherit it.
Aaron loves dancing. He especially likes breakdance and hip-hop, although he also knows salsa and ballet, being a popular dancer in the neighborhood where the family lives. Sometimes he participates in school competitions and the whole family enjoys watching. The Morales-Stacys are the best hypemans you will ever meet.
Elena is an excellent singer and is part of a band! Gwen and the Mary Janes sometimes like to go to rehearsals, and when they do a show, the whole family goes to watch. Elena also likes to sing in karaoke and at home.
Unlike Miles and Gwen, and just like Mayday, Elena and Aaron were born with spider powers. Therefore, Peter helped and continues to help a lot in their creation, having his own share of experience. He's Uncle Pete to them.
Elena and Aaron have a lot of uncles and aunts in general. Hobbie teaches them the importance of thinking for oneself and questioning absolutism (something both Miles and Gwen are grateful for), Pavitr brings sweets, practices dancing with Aaron, and the two of them plus Elena plan to break into the British museum. Gayatri also visits sometimes, helping Elena with her stage presence, as she is a model after all.
Noir and Ham always tell stories about their dimensions and this entertains the brothers a lot. Margo and Peni visit a lot too, as they and Gwen have game nights every Wednesday, as well as teaching lots of technological tricks.
Miles G. is a funny case in itself. Since I think he and Miles are going to become like brothers in Beyond, he definitely wanted to be present in the lives of his honorary nephews, and as soon as both Elena and Aaron were a year old, he started visiting them… and both of them cases, kids think he is their father and then confused because "daddy has a twin now?" when the two are together.
Well, that's what came to my mind. Thank you and good morning!
