IF the leaks are to be believed then Aemond getting SCHOOLED by both his sisters in back-to-back episodes is… I’m literally seated. True Queen behaviour ya’ll. Helaena saying “will you burn me like you burned Aegon” just tops off the spectacle. Like people ever believed Helaena would be on a psycho king’s side.

This dialogue (“Aegon will be king… [and] you will die”) is so weighted because it actually shows that despite all his flaws, Helaena saw a King in Aegon somewhere. And that lines up perfectly with EVERYTHING he’s been right about so far on the show since his coronation. [side note - did he actually take Helaena’s counsel back then *wink*]

Go on Queen, tell this idiot how a true King rules. It’s too bad that Aemond’s never going to be that, because the Throne was never his - it was always Aegon’s. And Helaena has the foresight/vision to see that - and SAY that. I LOVE how Condal has rained all over the Helaemond parade with just two dialogues lmaooooo A long time coming.

Good question! I honestly don't know! Both could be fun. Though, I do have to say, that I would be cackling so hard if they did decide to make it unambiguously show canon, because the fandom meltdowns would be something to behold.

People devote way too much energy on hating this pairing, when it wouldn't even change the plot in any significant way.

I just replied this to someone asking a Helaegon hater "what implications?" are there that Aegon is abusive, so I'm going to make it a post as well.

There are no "implications." Helaegon/Aegon haters love to die on this hill, but the so-called "implications" are in their heads.

Aegon drunkenly raped a maid, so they insist he abuses Helaena as well. "...Except sometimes when he's drunk." They take that as proof, but she says that while sounding annoyed that he ignores her.

She doesn't seem uncomfortable around him or afraid of him. She even smiles when he's teasing Jace, like she finds his antics amusing.
