Happy Caturday! Also here's a sneak peek of a pair of jeans I recently made (along with my Heide Pullover pattern). The pants I drafted myself and it took me forever to get them just the way I I wanted. I'm curious if enough people would actually be interested in a non-stretch pants pattern. I rarely wear stretchy pants anymore. I just like the way woven pants and jeans look on me. I find them much more flattering and I do think they are comfortable as well. This is my Heidi Pullover Top (PDF pattern in my shop) in a blue chambray cotton. I designed this many years ago when I was most comfortable draping my patterns on a dress form. I’ve always loved how organic draping is, although over the years I have come to appreciate flat pattern making, especially now that I can do it on my computer! It saves a whole lot of paper and fabric. Now I try to make a rough draft on paper/computer, then fit on a form to make any changes. It’s a long process but totally worth it in the end!
