Chronically LMAO. I mentioned in other posts, but I'm a big stickler for factual information. If I'm drawing in anything from outside cultures or resources into my fics, I won't put it in unless I've absolutely covered my bases. I did this with the Sin Eater fic, and I'm currently doing it with Erlkönig, since both have things from cultures (in this case Celtic) I'm not personally involved in. Research is why I did that massive Styx and Fae write up too as a point of reference so I don't get it wrong when I write a fic.

Honestly, if I ended up writing plumbing into a fic somehow, I'd research that too LMAO

💕 What is your favorite fic that you’ve written?

Ohhhh probably Elegy... or the Monody series as a whole. I thought those were good 😌 I still like Mead & Ignocolists tho LMAO my Lilia fics... come back from the war bbg

💛 What is the most impactful lesson you’ve learned about writing?

You need to love what you're writing. Don't ever do a prompt, or a request, that you don't have a love for bc it'll be a drag for you and no matter how good it may be, it will never seem right in your eyes. Also do NOT force yourself to write. The same lesson can be learned if you're trying to get through burnout by just forcing the words out—it will never seem right to you. Plus it just extends the burnout (this I know ☠️)

Let sleeping dogs (or dragons in some cases lmao) lie for a while until you feel inspired to poke them a bit. And don't feel guilty about it, either. No one is mad at you or upset with you if you don't write 500 words that day—your brain is just being a jerk. A break is sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself.

💭 What inspires you and your writing?

Me and my 20+ spotify playlists against the world LMAOO 😭 beyond that, a lot of real like things! The stuff I wrote for some fics (like Monody for example) come from friends and other lived experiences. My Maleficia fic drew from my great-grandmother and grandmother (had to get that g-ma mindset yk) and the rather complex stoicism they held (I get u, Malleus). Some of my Lilia fics drew from history I've read or stories of war-eras. Erlkönig is inspired by my own love of folklore and myth and my excitement to see it in a game like twst. Also the poem ofc.

So... a lot of things, really! Music, art, books, and history being the biggest ones!! (Music especially, though. A good song can generate a thousand ideas like trailers for a film in the brain)

♡ SMALL THINGS: pick a fic and I’ll tell you my favorite minor detail from it!

oh sugar daddy changbin i do love him and that reader. there's a lot of little details in that story. i wanted it to feel like everything was really alive and happening around them.

a couple of my favourite minor details:

her shitty boss at the flower shop and all the silly "botany related con artistry" gags therein

her cluttered maximalist lifestyle but also being broke as hell. probably because she keeps buying junk lol

jisung and his iconic bisexual polyhedron that i cannot wait to write. oh god him and his reader are RIDICULOUS. changbin and his reader are dummies, chan and his reader are double dummies, but han and his reader are stubborn dummies and make it the whole city's problem

minho being put in the middle of it all. you can bet he will continue to be at the centre of everyone's love life (unwillingly) in the next two installments. i love putting him in Situations

i think i just mention hyunjin is a professional dancer but in my head he does ballet in this universe hehe

i think my favourite line i've ever written is "it is a humbling reminder to all the daddies of the world that there is always a bigger, stricter, daddier daddy out there, and he is always bang chan." 10/10 i don't know why i bothered to keep writing after that because it will never get better

hey tojiscrack! (can’t get over ur user lolll!) just wanted to drop by again to say that your fic is absolutely divine—truly everything i could ever want and more. i had a quick observation to share, though i’m not entirely sure if it holds up. ♡⸜(˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)⸝♡

so, from what i recall, megumi doesn’t like change (or am i tripping? i think it was mentioned in the earlier chapters). he seems very at ease with the current dynamic he shares with our little mermaid—so accustomed to her being by his side that the idea of anyone else being interested in her feels almost bizzare to him. ｢( • ﾍ •)

so far, there hasn’t been a strong, viable love interest for y/n other than megumi. even the flyer guy, who showed some interest, was quickly brushed aside. megumi seemed relieved by that, since it meant his status quo remained intact, with no real threat to disrupt the life he’s so familiar with as y/n wasn’t interested/didn’t even realize flyer guy had a crush on her. nothing changed and life could continue as normal for them hehe. (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀๑)

now we have kamo expressing interest in someone, and while it could be anyone, my hunch is that it’s y/n (big surprise, right?). if y/n and kamo end up together, as you hinted at with the love triangle, it seems inevitable that megumi will *hate* it—much like he hated change in earlier chapters. even if it turns out to be the flyer guy, the result would be the same: megumi would despise the shift because it upends his sense of stability and changes the way things already are.

it feels like megumi’s aversion to change runs so deep that he’d rather remain friends with y/n and preserve the life he knows than risk complicating things by acting on his feelings. we’ve seen hints of his internal struggle, from how he reacted to her in elementary school, the airport hug scene, the dance scene, and more recently, when he claimed no one could have a crush on her, tweaking at the thought when she brought it up, how cute!! ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝

i hope this makes sense, but essentially, my point is that megumi likely views anyone interested in y/n as a threat to his normalcy. he’s so resistant to change that it will undoubtedly be a major theme in the story, especially as y/n’s potential new relationship forces him to confront the reality that change is an inevitable part of life, especially as they grow older and navigate adolescence. 

or maybe i’m just yapping and everything i’ve said is just me doing obstacles to prove a point that doesn’t exist? idk, i saw the foreshadowing tag and now all i’ve been doing is actively looking for it hehe.

no, you are most certainly not tripping. i think it was elementary school or smth, it was not only mentioned but vaguely implied that megumi the porcupine doesn’t like change. like, at all. he’s comfortable with the way things are: i wanted to parallel it to canon (EVERYTHING INSIDE THIS BRACKET IN BOLD INCLUDES MANGA SPOILERS FROM JJK266!!! — it was mentioned, tho i can’t remember the exact wording, that megumi just wants to be able to do the simple things with his family, the example being laundry. the change he experienced with sukuna and jujutsu society in general after gojo’s sealing was something he didn’t like, at all. albeit, it was very extreme, ANYONE would hate it, but his stance on doing something as simple as laundry inspired this stance megumi has in ‘liar, liar’, where he wants to remain comfortable with his friends and family as he is, a parallel to canon).

i like this build up you’ve come up with (megumi seeing someone crush on y/n as ‘bizarre’) from just that (his discomfort with change). it’s accurate, scarily accurate. i can’t even try and sugar coat this one, but yeah. i was lowkey waiting for someone to realise that, i felt as if it was kinda in ur face but ig not 😭 well done!

here comes the debate tho! some of my readers have completely forgotten about jeremiah (the flyer guy), whereas others acknowledge him and believe him to be important in terms of the second love interest for the love triangle, and then you, who believes that he was important for the sole purpose of proving that point you’ve just made: that megumi was relieved by him being shrugged off, ‘cause it meant, in ur words, that ‘his status quo remained intact’.

because of the fact that everyone’s kinda torn on this, i am not gonna tell you whether you’re right or not 😋 i would have if there was just one collective stance on jeremiah, but there isn’t, and it’s fun reading all these theories, debates and predictions :) but i’m gonna say this: out of the three predictions for jeremiah, only one is completely right. now it’s time for everyone to guess which one it is (muahahahaha)!!!

hello!! omg your newest Rollo fic... I've been thinking about it nonstop I swear!!! I'm obsessed with all your Rollo works, you just write him so creepy and obsessive - so fitting for a man who takes everything to fanatic extremes. I particularly loved the cultish religious themes in this, so in character for him.

such a chilling premise to start. mangled wings made of bone and sinew and fake feathers?? so horrifying and gorey, more like the image of a fallen angel than anything else. and the fact that an appropriate lamb had to be searched for. perhaps the righteous one had to stalk for months to find just the perfect opportunity to lure his angel :)

the fact that the handkerchief is actually darling's... omg that stuck with me. creepy down bad despicable priest can't resist darling's scent even if it means stealing her things 👀

and the stockholm syndrome? literally tearing his angel apart and stripping her bare, just to rebirth (indoctrinate) her into the religion just like everyone else, hanging on his every word. so thoroughly broken that fingering her before a congregation is definitely Normal and a sacred holy event and not a sinful perversion (not that Rollo sees a difference between the two).

the period blood too AAA!! the first time you wrote about his fixation on it I swear you awakened something in me I didn't know existed .///. that man is an absolute fiend.

🐌 anon, hello hello!!!! Omg thank you so much!! I'm so happy you enjoyed the fic!! Rollo works extremely well in contexts with religious themes. I love adding all of the symbolism,,,, I've been meaning to write a cultish fic with Mr. Rollo for quite some time now. I was having the worst cramps of my life the other day and in being doubled over in pain a thought occurred to me: what if Rollo led a group of people who worship this sort of thing??? Thus, this fic was born hehe. :D

I loved writing about the gore and brutality in shaping darling into a proper angel. Or the human equivalent of one. Immediately thrust into a position of (limited) power overseen by Rollo, put on a holy pedestal and made to be this divine creature...... AAAAAA I was actually going to compare Rollo and the cult to wolves, but I felt that was straying into The Test of Faith territory. ^^;;; in any case I love the idea of Rollo searching for the perfect lamb to sacrifice and turn into an angel. <3 poor darling who had no idea of the horrors she would soon endure at the hands of such a crazy man,,,

Rollo who took all of darling's possessions (that were on her person when he stole her away) so that he can essentially rewrite her entire existence,,, of course this includes minor things like her handkerchief. I think if anything's spared from flame it's that. The rest of your identity is burned away and from the ashes comes a new title, one you never wanted or needed to begin with. All while he gets to enjoy the sweet scent of darling on his (her) handkerchief.

Rollo being obsessed with periods and period blood is so delicious to me. He's such a creep,,, proving to the congregation that you're still pure because you have your period. Maybe it even keeps him in check when he's overcome with the desire to take you for himself. I think the concept of menstruation in stories is so interesting!! When they did that in Midsommar, I was so :O Rollo being obsessed with your menstrual cycle and fertility is so real to me. Sooner or later, he's gathering some for himself to put in his morning tea....... aaaa such a freak.

i can NOT not bottle up my emotions, ive been doing it for so long i have no idea how to even act on my actual feelings anymore; im literally almost a completely different person than the one who acts in my place. and for that reason i never actually feel loved. even though people around me care for me, i dont really feel it. i only feel that they tolerate me because that is what im trying to do all the time - to be tolerable and not annoying, not a burden, not make anyone uncomfortable, not bothersome etc. so i suppress all my thoughts and feelings. BUT YK WHAT???? it didnt actually work!!! before, i annoyed people, now i make them uncomfortable in a different way. because im so quiet and unresponsive, people call me rude, weird, emotionless,, and its not like i can just now be "myself", i physically CANT because i have huge fucking anxiety and my social skills are ass. i dont actually like attention irl, i hate being perceived. attention online however is completely different because this is actually the first ive EVER been as comfortable and open as i am with people. because here i dont get the weird or special treatment, everyone is messed up in a way and i dont have an expectation upon me so i dont worry about being judged or looked down upon. when people are capable of liking me despite all my issues i almost feel loved, but then again my mind keeps reminding me its not genuine and no one truly loves me. no one hates me and wants to hurt me either, im that unimportant that people either tolerate me or are just indifferent to me.

i think something is just inherently wrong with me because ive been this way since i was a kid. and people let me know about it. i was shy back then but not quiet, and often times people would get mad or annoyed with me. either that or they would ignore me and leave me out. i might be a really sensitive person and all this caused me to be withdrawn; but i just have no fucking idea how to act 'normally' for people to like me. i try to copy what people do and say, but it feels so unnatural. i just cant communicate with anyone, i cant make genuine connections.

it also doesnt help that i also had to leave my country because of war, and being in a new country with a new language and everything made it all worse. because i have one major reason added to not speak and its my way of speaking, im really insecure about it. the war itself might have fucked me up more because of being constantly paranoid and anxious about my family dying whenever theyre out + couldnt socialize properly because of being home most of the time and my friends who live near me leaving the country. im not trying to complain too much about this though, im technically lucky since im still alive, my family didnt die, my house was not b0mbed and i managed to get out of there eventually,,

♡•° reika is very similar to pet in terms of telling you things as you two walk through the world, but she's more softer about it n her voice is so soothing it almost makes you sleepy listening to it..

♡•° she's willing to explain things in fine detail if you need a better explanation on things. it doesn't bother her if you have questions, no matter how many you have she's happy to answer them!

Kazuha's kids love to listen to him playing his leaf tunes. They're like a lullaby to them. Perhaps his son Kazumi tried to imitate him multiple times but failed and Kazuha's just all chuckles

Since Marie has a brother that's like 14 years older than her, she has that aura ykyk hehe. Imagine having a much older brother and a father who's the boss of a prison be the family of your crush. Like anyone who's pinning on her will have nothing but nightmares getting through Cameron and Wrio. The two would team up to be Marie's bodyguards and when she calls out on them they'd play dumb like "whaaaat haha wdym"

At one point Marie also gets a bit hardcore as she gets older. She's still a daddy's girl, but she's also her father's daughter ykwim? Perhaps she also learns how to box like her dad??

Since Eveline is the Hydro dragon offspring and can naturally wield hydro, she spent her childhood being so confused as to why other kids can't wield hydro like her. Imagine her hanging out with kids and they're like "Wow you can wield Hydro without a Vision?" and she's like "You can't???"

Game nights are always playful war for Lyney's household. Both Lyney and mama reader try to play nice for the twins but always end up victorious and somewhat competitive. In a way, they think it's a way for the kids to nurture their strategizing skills. They make sure to treat Corinne and Quentin some treats tho after every game night hehe.

The other Harbingers are quietly very fond of Kimi. Every once in a while, Scara would bring her to Fatui Headquarters for work to look after her. The other Harbingers secretly look forward to seeing Kimi as she seems to be the only bright and warm thing in the cold halls of the Fatui Headquarters. Kimi also likes them and sees the Fatui as her home somewhat!

I loved the last headcanons you sent me but these… I think I even got a bit emotional lol Some of them are more canon than you'd imagine...

I mean. How could I disagree with a scene of a little Kazumi trying to imitate his dad by blowing a leaf and ripping it? He's so used to listen his dad's music since he was just a baby that isn't strange he wants to copy him too. His son's shenanigans amuse Kazuha but you can see the love and joy shining in his eyes too. It'll take a while for Kazumi to learn how to play a leaf correctly because he's a bit hasty but eventually he's gonna achieve it <3

One of the million things I love in Marie is her aura hahahah It's also quite funny that Wriothesley's constellation is Cerberus because only it can explain the three "dogs" from the Fortress who are super protective over her: Papa, Cameron & Mama hahah

I absolutely LOVED and agreed with the hc about Heizou's children and Lyney's.

Though Heizou's daughter isn't as interested in police stuff as her parents and older brother are, Ren, on the other hand, can become a bit too competitive when he's playing board games with Heizou. To this day he hasn't beaten his dad or his mom lol

By the way. Now that you've mentioned the harbingers meeting Kimi (which is true since she was still pretty small back when he was in the Fatui), I remembered Arlecchino's voice line telling us about those days la Signora used to visit the House of Hearth and rejoy in the kids' attention.
