Periodicamente tra i giocattoli di mio figlio facciamo un rinnovamento. Separiamo quei giochini rotti da quelli non più utili e da quelli ancora utili. E ci aiuta. Ognuno di noi abbiamo bisogno di un rinnovamento periodico nella nostra vita. É un fattore fondamentale per la nostra crescita personale. Anche se é difficile. Nel corso della nostra vita andiamo incontro a situazioni come quei giochini rotti. Cose che ci hanno ferito e non possiamo più sistemare..quanto é difficile riconoscerlo e andare avanti?!🙍 A volte invece abbiamo dietro qualcosa come i giochini non più utili. Mio figlio ha 4 anni; inutile lasciare tra i suoi giochi le chiavi che mordeva per rafforzare i dentini! 🤷 É poi ci sono i giochini ancora utili. Ciò che credo rappresenta il presente. Il nostro cammino attuale. Un giorno anche queste cose saranno tra i giochini non più utili ma adesso le teniamo strette. In tutti e tre i momenti della nostra vita c'è un fattore comune.. Ma comune al punto che fa una grande differenza. Dio é con noi sempre. Per guarirci da ciò che ci ha ferito e rotto. Per insegnarci a capire cosa lasciare perché non più utile. E per guidarci durante il cammino presente. This journey is amazing, let me tell you that. I've never felt more alive and liberated in all my life. I've never felt more love than I do RIGHT NOW. Campus Youth Ministry - where faith meets social

Prior to coming to college I was a little concerned about being able to continue to practice my faith, and I worried about not being able to find organizations on campus with who I could share my religious beliefs and grow in my relationship with God. Boy was I wrong!! Here at UWEC there are SO MANY youth ministries and organizations that it was acutally really easy to keep a strong relatinoship with God and I have made some pretty great friends as well! So far, I have had the opportunity to be a member of not one, but TWO such organizations! 

Cru, which stands for Crusade for Christ, was my first bible study. Even before the first large group meeting was over I knew this was a ministry that I wanted to be a part of. Not only was the band amazing, but the speakers were motivaitonal and engaging. I was so surprised and excited to see a live band performing in Hibbard Hall, one of our academic buildings here on campus, that I asked if I could join the band as soon as the first meeting was done! The band was so excited to learn someone wanted to join and pick up the guitar that they let me in right away. I think I became really interested because hearing the performance brought me back to my performing days of when I was in my own rock band, and I felt that being more involved would make my experience even more meaningful. Plus I was able to continue my music!

The other youth ministry that I joined is Intervarsity, and one of the really cool things about this organization is that there are MANY different sections divided up by residence hall and floor, and there’s also a section for international students and Aisan American students! I am part of the Asian American Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and so far my experiences with this group have been great! Along with gathering together for bible studies both organizations also host social events! 

I have truly had wonderful experiences with both ministries and the best part is that I can continue to live out my faith, grow in my faith, and also hang out with some pretty awesome and energetic people! Not only are these individuals a great support team, but their views about life definitely have positive impacts on my college experiences and I CANNOT wait to see what God has in store for me and the youth ministries!!
