not very fond of parties & never been to one. this is just a silly idea i thought of. :3

boyfie!rin with his girly gf who loves going to parties.

you always make him sit on your bed, give him snacks and water and his beloved ipad. so that he doesn't get too bored when he has to wait for you to change outfits, decided if a top fits better with a skirt or pants, or if you should wear heels with this one or your loafers, etc. he doesn't get that bored because he does love seeing you model clothes, especially if he's the one who chose and bought them. (with daddy's money? who knows.)

you, of course, make him help you with the zipper, buttons, or ribbons that you need help with tying up. though, it'd have to take a couple of tries since he does them horribly wrong sometimes (he'd grumble about why women always wear such complicated clothing). if you're running a bit late, you'd make him help with drying your hair or fixing your makeup (he's surprisingly okay).

he doesn't really care about what you wear to the party. he knows that you can take care of yourself and he, sort of, trust your friends (mostly the female ones) so it's fine. as long as it still covers you though. and if you're comfortable in it.

also, he's pretty confident with himself so when you ask him if he's really okay with what you're wearing to a party that has guys in it, he'd respond “who cares what you wear? i can fight.” and he's true with his words. if a guy says something inappropriate about you or looks at you weirdly, they'd have to speak with rin's fists. believe me when i say that they hurt. the poor (not really, they're creeps) boys might need a couple of weeks to get their faces fixed.

Everything was bustling, the sound of heels and shiny loafers clicking on the checkerboard floor background noise to the endless chatter in the air. You bounced up and down on your feet, surveying it all from your place on the balcony between the double staircase. For an hour before the official start, you'd been worried nobody would show up. Now your home was crowded with all sorts of Capitolites, dressed to the nines in elaborate costumes.

Mermaid, knight, fairy, prince, jester, ancient god. Everyone was there as something different, and you were entranced by them all. Truthfully, you need not have been so anxious. The atmosphere was lively, and everyone seemed entertained. You fiddled with the white hem of your long silk glove, smiling bright and bold like the chandelier dripping with crystals from the ceiling.

A woman wearing a ball gown touched your arm as she passed by. "Wonderful party Mrs. Snow." You gave her a gracious look, lips parting to reveal your smile. She wasn't the first to say this tonight, but every new compliment made your heart swell. You were doing a good job. You had done a good job.

You felt the presence of someone behind you, and then a pair of arms were wrapping around your waist, pulling you into your husband's warm chest. He reached around and kissed your cheek, nose nudging you. "How are you, darling?"

Squealing slightly, you leaned back into him, squeezing his hand on your stomach. "I'm so happy!"

Coriolanus stepped back, careful not to muss your angel wings, and turned you around to face him. He lifted both your hands clasped in his, looking over you even though he'd done the same thing earlier when you were getting ready. A smile spread over his lips, and he pulled you back in, kissing your forehead. "You've done a wonderful job. Everyone's talking about how good it looks."

Your smile was uncontainable, and you threw your arms around his neck, pressing a kiss to his cheek and leaving a red lipstick mark. "I'm so glad. Do you think it'll make headlines?" The prospect made you giddy.

He cupped your cheek in his hand, and you leaned into it, making him smile. "I don't see why not. It's the event of the year."

Laughing in delight, you bounced on your heels, and he held you right to him. "How long do we have to make an appearance for? I want to go upstairs-"

You giggled, tugging at his suit jacket. He had outright refused to wear a costume, but since he'd paid for the entire thing and he looked handsome anyways, you let it slide. "At least another hour. We are the hosts after all."

Coriolanus hummed, smoothing your hair behind your back. "I'll hold you to it, angel." He wound one arm around your waist, rubbing your lower back gently. The two of you watched the partygoers as they chattered and mingled. It felt like you were in your own bubble up here, looking down at the world.

He snatched two drinks from a server about to head down the stairs, putting one in your hand. You were about to protest, but he gave you a look. "You're allowed to have a drink, sweetheart. You've done so well."

Smiling sweetly, you lifted it to your lips, indulging him. Coriolanus kissed your temple, hand warm through the fabric of your dress. "Was it worth all the stress?"

You looked around at the richly decorated space, at the men and women from the Capitol who were content for now. "Yes. Very much so."

Though it had all been devastatingly overwhelming at one point, you were more than pleased with how it had turned out. With your husband's constant encouragement, you were able to push through the last weeks before, the pressure on your shoulders easing just a little. He held up anything that was crushing you, crumbling it if needed, all the while promising you that it was going to be okay.

What had gotten you was how he never once insisted it was too much. He only offered to ease it all. And you were reminded over and over why you loved him.

Down on the floor, servers were approaching people, their gestures pointing outside. You lightened, reaching for Coriolanus' hand. "Come with me."

He raised an eyebrow. "It hasn't been an hour yet."

"No-" you giggled, keeping hold of your drink and tugging him along. "Come on."

He let you lead him up another flight of stairs to your bedroom, smiling fondly as you worked your balcony door open with your champagne still in hand. Finally, it clicked and you nudged the crack with your hip. Tugging him outside, you inhaled the sweet scent of pink roses crawling up the walls.

Giving you a funny look, Coriolanus rewound his arm around you, and you settled back into the familiar spot. "What's this for?"

"You'll see," you murmured, bringing your hand up around him to rub his back.

It was quiet for a moment save for the lull of chatter from the partygoers below. You savored this moment with your husband, his body warming you from the slight chill of the night. Peace was not something easily found in your everyday life; especially over these past few weeks as you had prepared for the party.

Despite the whirlwind of being the president, he was your eye in the storm. You loved him for keeping you safe from even yourself. Memories of the past few weeks swam through your head, body snuggling closer to him automatically.

There was a pop from the distance, and you looked up just in time to see the burst of color lighten the sky. Gasping in delight, you leaned your head into Coriolanus' chest and smiled when he began to caress your back. This was your grand finale, the last thing to seal your fate as the best party hostess in the Capitol.

Looking up at Coriolanus, you were pleased to find his blue eyes already on you. He smiled fondly, leaning down and catching your lips in a sweet kiss. You set your champagne on the railing and wound your arms around him, letting your body relax into his. The weight was off your shoulders, the party had gone wonderfully. And now your husband was kissing you tenderly as the stress from the past few weeks melted away.

Pulling back ever so slightly, he murmured, "I'm proud of you." A brief kiss to the corner of your mouth. "My wife." he seemed to savor the word. "There's nothing you can't do."

"I couldn't have done anything without you." You smiled and lifted yourself up on tiptoes, one white-heeled foot popping up. The way he looked at you, you'd have thought you were the most adorable thing in the world.

He smoothed your hair, lips lightly touching your forehead. When you kissed him again, pressing your chest into his and letting his hand drop to the small of your back he whispered, "Do you think we can waive the one hour agreement?"

A laugh bubbled from your mouth and as soon as you nodded he was sweeping you up in his arms, pushing the door open and shutting it firmly with his foot.

You giggled as a tidal wave of kisses were admonished onto you, his touch worshipful and light. At last you were able to savor the feel of him, let him show you exactly how much he appreciated everything you'd done.

As the fireworks crackled outside, you dug your hand in his hair and sighed. This was yours.

He was yours.

You didn’t really want anyone else in the room, you had been quite happy, sprawled on the large blanket under the table, moving between your new masters in turn. You had been licking a long stripe up Bucky’s hard cock when the first knock sounded, jolting you from your soft state into one of panic. 

Tucking himself away, Bucky had shouted ‘enter’ allowing a seeming herd of other people into the room. 

Sensing your nervousness, Steve had placed his hand on your cheek, his thumb rubbing against your bottom lip until you sucked the digit into your mouth, once more content to rest between them while they carried out their business. 

“Is this real, or a trick?” The man’s voice was like thunder, loud but clear. You couldn’t tell who was talking yet, only seeing a series of shoes, combat boots and a few loafers, one pair of battered trainers…you closed your eyes, sucking harder on Steve’s thumb and focussing on the polished shoes in front of you, one brown pair, one black pair, Steve and Bucky, Sir and Sarge, that was all you needed to worry about.  

“It’s not a trick, Thor.” Steve rolled his eyes, “we know we brought that rule in, no girlfriends.” 

A disgruntled murmur ran around the room, none of the men willing to vocalise how frustrated and angry they’d been since. 

Bucky slammed his palm onto the table and the room went quiet again, you jumped clinging to his calf, but remained where you were. 

“We brought the rule in, now we’re fixing it, but only if you're polite.” He growled.

“C’mon out, Bambi.” Steve and Bucky pushed their chairs back and Steve held out a hand to you, the ring on his pinky finger flashing in the afternoon light. 

Placing one hand slowly in front of the other you crawled out from underneath the table, one hand on Steve’s thigh, one on Bucky’s. The latter reached down, cupping your chin in his large, tattooed hand and pinched your cheeks. 

“Good girl, now say hello to the crew.” 

You turned, kneeling high enough that your head and shoulders peeked over the top of the walnut table, resting your chin on one hand you raised the other in a wave, “hello.” You whispered, nervously eyeing the array of men and women sitting around the long conference table.

You’d been worried ever since Cap’ and Sarge had informed you that your world would be expanding outside of their closed off penthouse, but now you felt that familiar throb of longing deep between your legs. They were handsome, your masters’ friends, so perhaps this wouldn’t be so awful after all. 

Bucky tucked a palm under your elbow and helped you stand, your feet wobbly after your time spent kneeling at his feet. Your heels tipped you forward slightly and you crossed your arms behind your back to steady yourself, pushing your chest out at the same time. A collective intake of air rippled around the room and, you supposed, that was to be expected given your scanty attire. 

Steve had wanted you to make a good impression and had chosen a soft pink babydoll with plenty of ribbons and bows. You certainly felt like a doll once they’d finished dressing you up but you loved it, loved that you didn’t have to make any decisions anymore. You let your wide eyes take in the room again, the hungry looks in everyone’s eyes. 

“Bambi, the family -” Steve gestured to the assembled group, “family, Bambi.” 

There was a chorus of replies, hellos and good mornings before the room went quiet again.

“Well, we don’t have much work to do today, so -” Bucky looked up at you, his hand on your hip protectively, “get to know everyone, okay. Take your time.” His smile was soft, but dropped from his face when he looked back at the rest of the family, “as for you, be polite.” Bucky glared around the room, “and remember to play nicely.”

the 1960s were also known as the swingin' sixties, and that name could not be more appropriate. while some other decades had moved towards comfort, the 1960's truly embraced it. some of the youth simply threw on a tunic and stepped into some pants and walked out the door! the popularity of television broadcasted different styles and trends across the country and the world. new materials like acrylics and polyesters were cheap to produce and to buy, and made fashion more accessible than it ever had been. the swingin' sixties brought the youth miniskirts, striped sweaters, the boxy "mod" look, and the bright, fun makeup associated with famous artists like twiggy. some older women tended towards the skirt + suit jacket combination worn by first lady jackie kennedy, but the comfort of the youth was appealing to all ages. beatnik fashion was also popular, with trim black trousers and dark sweaters. in 1964, hairspray was the most popular beauty product on the market – and it showed in the elaborate updos of the era. as the decade drew to a close, the "hippie" style was a popular look among the youth, with loose fitting tops and baggy pants, as well as maxi skirts. many of the hippies incorporated crafts into their fashion, with patchwork and beadings becoming popular.

this is only a very brief summary – the trends and influences of the 1960s are vast and complex, just as the 1960s themselves were. the social revolutions mirrored the revolutions in fashion, and i could write essays about it. but i am tired and i moved in today.
