chronic: adhd, depression, anxiety, pcos, and new mystery illness since 2020 that none of my doctors could agree on (endometriosis? IBS? Both? Neither? Who cares?🙃)

permanently ditched meta because i hate them so I'm am relearning how to use tumblr. I haven't had an active account in over 8 years, and even then I was still pretty reserved so I didn't interact with anyone. This time around, I'm hoping to find myself and actually make friends.

I have other accounts but this will be my main one where I post a little of all of my interests (some of which include NSFW so please no one under 21 on here). This spot is my safe haven where I can vent and cry about all the bad and the good and the mundane in my life.

my intention was to create a vision board for myself but somehow after a quick prayer, it led to this. #HeCallsMe is something I'd like to turn into a project one day. I don't know it just sat on my heart and mind "What if this could be something?" Because how many of us worry too much about what others think of us? What that cute boy thinks? What that fashionable girl thinks? What our parents think? And sometimes what they think isn't nice and it's not true or who you are at all, but you believe it anyway. You believe you aren't good enough or smart enough or pretty enough. You believe and soak in a lie that ends up becoming the fabric of who you are. You try to change and manipulate yourself to fit this idea of perfect, when God never called us to be perfect. He calls us just as we are. He calls us. He calls you. He calls me. Overcomer. Beloved. I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED THIS POST BUT I'M WRITING IT AGAIN BECAUSE IT'S IMPORTANT

Sorry but I'm gonna get ramble-y here.

A year ago this week I left my abusive ex, packed up my life in my car, left my dog behind, left a good job, great friends, to move back home with my parents. No degree, no job, no money, thousands in debt, and friendships I almost threw away because I wouldn't talk to anyone. I was too embarassed.

This week has been hard. A lot of memories have been coming up and it's not a fun time. But..I have so many people here to remind me that I made it. I did it.

Feel Special could not have come out at a different time. Twice, you get me 🤧 but really...so many lovely beautiful people are here to remind me daily that I have support when I need it, even if I say I don't. I have such great people around me to remind me that I'll be okay, that maybe relapse happens but its not an easy journey and I made it this far. I can make it farther.

To you, too. Reading this. Thank you. And you deserve to feel special too. No matter where you are, you can get past this. I've made many dumbass mistakes in my life, but that doesn't mean I couldn't grow and learn. You can do that too. If you need help, I'll be happy to give advice anytime. You deserve support too. You deserve to feel special too.

yesterday i was really struggling with self-defeating thoughts. and man they just freak me out because i don't want to think about myself that way. i let my pride get the better of me. so I confessed to the Lord my struggle and burden with my pride and read two verses about the Lord being greater than me and his thoughts being greater than mine. and in my heart i was reminded of Romans 3:24: "for all have fallen short of the glory of God." and it struck a cord and reminded me that I'm not alone in this struggle. and while the weight i felt from this pride crushing moment shifted, somehow the negative thoughts changed up their game from reminding me how great I am to tearing me down instantly. the feeling and thoughts were uncomfortable and inconsistent because i knew they weren't true. it was like the enemy kept knocking and as annoying and pesky as it was, i didn't answer. i didn't just sit there and agree with my negative thoughts or what the enemy was convincing me i was, no. i went to scripture and reminded myself who God calls me. and when i found what was the hardest time for me to pray, i prayed. i woke up this morning way earlier than i usually do, and i read scripture and prayed this word and verse over my day. and believe it or not, today was different. i may have struggled in my defeat and hardship, but what God says about me, especially what I read about this morning, has been in the back of my mind all day. and slowly, I'm listening. I'm understanding. I'm placing my hope in the One who calls an unworthy sinner like me an overcomer. so listen to the Lord today and remember you are an overcomer. a conqueror. all in the name of Jesus.
