Kiril deserves to go ape shit, as a treat

-yesui before making him go on a several day long rampage

he did go apeshit! and all he got for it was back problems and yesui getting put in self-imposed time out for who knows how long.

i have decided to make yesui n kiril’s relationship even more tragic. again. she’s going away for a while after this whole thing gets sorted 😋 HW spoilers and thoughts under cut.

okay. the general musings are that Yesui gets more and more frustrated with Kiril the more he grows to like Ishgard. to her, he should hate everyone in it, no exceptions. she was willing to grant him a few friendships with people she saw as useful but she’s just been stewing and festering as he gets more and more determined to actually save it. yesui is barely herself anymore. her memories are so twisted by her anger that she will probably never feel her revenge is complete. [COUUUUGHHHHH. THEEEEEEEEMEEEESSSSSSS] she thinks kiril owes it to her to continue her revenge, and failing that, she’ll make him see her side, and failing that, she’ll just do it herself. she’s especially appalled when kiril stops listening to her and actually starts getting along with estinien. she thinks he must be brainwashed or something. forgiveness & reconciliation are such alien concepts to her at this point she genuinely thinks there’s something wrong with kiril. beneath all of this, she’s still trying to protect kiril, at least in her own mind. she’s not quiet about her concerns, either, and kiril has been getting more and more uncomfortable with how violent she’s been getting, which feeds back into yesui’s frustration and desperation to make him understand her. so when kiril has to fight a primal that represents the seed of the corruption that got yesui killed, she begs kiril to just let her get the finishing blow. just one hit. she promises this will be the end of it. and kiril, who still loves her, who wants to trust her, lets her take over.

this will have lasting consequences.

the good news: yesui gets sealed away in time to deal with the other person possessed by a being hellbent on revenge.

the bad news: yesui gets sealed away. and also she wasn’t exactly gentle with kiril’s… everything… so after they deal with nidhogg he’s gonna need a lotttt of downtime. for emotional wounds as much as physical ones.
