FEATURE: Heaven Asunder - Redemption

"For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved". These are the words on screen just before Bristolian metalcore mob Heaven Asunder's new music video rips you a new one.  If you're not familiar with Heaven Asunder and their recent ladder to the top of the Bristol hardcore scene then you've just missed out on their successful UK headline tour, but fear not - they're sticking about for good. After nailing main support acts alongside bands such as Upon A Burning Body, 36 Crazyfists, and When We Were Wolves, not to mention an upcoming show with Idiom, it could only appear that Heaven Asunder are on the up, soon to lead the Bristol alternative scene with their army of dedicated fans.

Back on target to their new track, 'Redemption', possibly one of their heaviest, yet captivating songs the band have created during their elevating success. Catchy riffs are spilled out throughout, whilst vocalist Matt Boyd's screams are a notch up from their debut album 'Among The Dammed' as he pours his heart and soul into what he loves most. His raspy, hardcore shouts battle against his ability to clean-sing, in which the track's blissful chorus is cherished of.  The video consists of a religious intake, there's a nun, an abandoned church-like building, bibles, and demonic black eyes from the members. It's a notch up from most bands putting out videos of them playing empty warehouses, Heaven Asunder have put thought and theory into this new song and video and it's fucking brilliant.

Having to create a track that succeeds their 2013 album was always going to be a tricky mission to play out, but by God they've come out better than ever with a fresh mature sound, leaving their fans gasping for a new release. Come to their next nearest show to you and find out just what all the fuss is about behind these guys, no doubt you'll come out a fan just as I did a couple years back.
