Cw: infidelity, toxic relationships, pregnancy
Paradise comes crashing down when he confronts her with the truth.
“How could you do this to me, to us?” He does not shout, instead he drinks and looks at her as he tossed the photographs of her and Heaven across the desk.
And because she cannot fucking explain why she thought they could have it all, that she could love two people when one refuses to even think love can be shared, Eva says nothing.
How can she tell him that she loves him, that she loves her and that despite what it looks like, Tommy is the only person she could ever wish to be married to?
Eva loves Heaven, but never the way she loves Tommy.
Tommy is the only man she’s ever wanted, the one who makes her feel understood and loved and safe. The father of her children, her partner in life and business and everything in between.
And now she had lost him.
She knows she has and that hurts more than losing Heaven.
Because if she were given a choice, it would always be Tommy.
Just as she knows Heaven would choose Arthur, and Eva would understand.
Her marriage dies tonight as she stands there in white like a bride.
“I’m sorry, Tom, I never wanted to hurt you.”
Days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months.
Arthur and Heaven have left their lives, only the brothers stay connected. Arthur forgave Heaven, whether because he doesn’t know how long it went or because he’s too under her spell, Eva doesn’t know.
First, he stops letting her in, then spends more time at work to avoid her, and last, he gives into his anger and fucks another woman.
“How does it feel, sweetheart? How does it feel to be paid with the same coin?” he asks, drunk, smelling of his secretary and touching Eva with all the want they still have for each other.
And she says nothing, because she knows she deserves the pain and humiliation from being betrayed just as she betrayed him.
He moves to a different room after, the one connected to hers so that the children don’t realize they do not sleep in the same bed.
Not that it gets past them, he is cold and distant now, even to Charlie and Diane who do not understand what’s going on.
She wants to leave, to stop hurting themselves and heal away from each other, but once you marry a Shelby your only choice is to die a Shelby.
Well, she was a Riley and a Smith before him, her husband is powerful, but so is she.
It doesn’t take much to get a lawyer and the necessary things to disappear out of his life.
And yet, Eva lets herself get caught.
Because deep in her heart, she burns to be with him still. The witch wants to see what remains in the ashes of paradise before she leaves it all behind.
“You won’t leave, just as I won’t leave either. No one else loves you like I do, and you won’t love anyone else like you love me.”
This he says burning the papers she’s gotten her cousins to give her.
This he says telling her that he’s fucked Lizzie and Jessie Eden and even May and that when he came, it was Eva’s name he said all those times.
“We are a match made in hell, sweetheart.
I can’t get you out of my fucking heart, and I don’t want to.”
That night they fuck, rough and angry and a strangely shameful after when he leaves her bed and stumbles into his.
That night Gabriel is conceived and for a moment Eva has hope.
Sure, it is too soon after Diane, but this baby could be what breathes life into what was once paradise.
When she tells him, she stands there in the same office where six months ago it all came crashing down.
Things do not return to the way they were before, but he is back beside her in bed, where they know someone who understands and loves them is beside them. He comes home more often, dismissed Lizzie and sent her out of her sight, and, for a moment, it looks like things will be better.
They campaign together, the perfect man with the perfect family.
Socialists to their core, hard working and just interesting enough to have you vote for him.
“Give me your hand, she says when she goes in unannounced to his office in Digbeth for a visit.
He is still cool, but he has thawed enough to fan the flames of her hope. He won’t trust her again despite her giving him no reason to think there will be an encore of what happened between her and Heaven.
She deserves that, she knows she does and yet, she longs for what she had and threw away to chase after that spark she felt with Heaven.
She is Eve looking mournfully at all she cost them when God banished them from Eden.
She is Eve cursed to be mad in love with a man who’s only sin was loving her.
Eva is roughly five months pregnant when things finally seem to be healing between them.
They have not talked about it, except that she made a mistake that she will spend the rest of her life paying for because she doesn’t want to lose him.
His hand is warm under hers, the coldness of his rings feeling foreign to her touch even though she’s held and kissed his hand for six years now.
And yet, all that strangeness that has crept in between them melts away when they feel the baby kick underneath their hands.
“Will you ever forgive me?” Eva asks when he gives her a real smile, one that is warmer than any gesture thus far.
“I don’t know.”

Oh this is better than i ever imagined 🖤🖤🖤
Thanks for writing this 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Seeing your asks about au love stories for Heaveb, and i got to ask: how would an Eva x Heaven story look like?
Ref to this Ask AU
JULI. THIS IS A FANTASTIC QUESTION. I’m enjoying this far too much, so my ask box is definitely open for this kind of shipping game with Heaven. (Arthur is yelling now lmao “stoppp stealing me angel arghhhhh 😭”). Honestly, I got a little bit excited with this because my mind buzzed with ideas for our two witches.
“You’re the moon of my life, Eva.” “And you’re the light in my darkness.”
• Following Arthur’s death in the boxing ring attack, Heaven went into a downward spiral. The women meet for the first time in the nearby forest when Heaven attempted to kill herself by drowning in a river. Eva was wandering in the wild, needing a pause from the city’s noise, when she was struck by prophetic instincts.
• Her witch’s visions led her to Heaven and, when she sensed she was a witch like her (the very first and incredibly powerful she’s met) Eva saved her. In fact, our elegant Eva didn’t mind ruining her expensive black dress.
• Back to the ground, she pressed her soft and intoxicating lips on the pale woman’s to breathe her back to life — As soon as their flesh collapsed together, Heaven reopened her eyes and felt an indescribable fire lighting up within. A fire she had thought extinguished when her sweet Arthur died in her arms.
• “Dying is for the weak, ángel, and you’re no weak.” She whispered, “You’re a wonderful creature and I’ll make you reach your full potential.” Her voice lost itself in the wind, like the threatening rumble of a far away storm. That’s how Eva decided to bring her home.
• Luca and Eva had a heated argument about her: “She’s Arthur Shelby’s fucking window!! We’ve killed her husband, don’t you think she’ll be a danger to us? She’ll avenge him. Please, my Queen, this is not a good idea.”
_ “She stays or I leave with her.” That was the only thing she said in the whole discussion, her dark eyes glistening with confidence and authority. Luca knew he had lost.
• Eva took care of Heaven for months, for the poor angel was in a half-catatonic state. She would spend most of her time with Heaven, taking baths with her, changing her whole dressing, and bringing her in art galleries to change her mind. Soon, Eva became the only person she trusts and loves with all her heart.
• When Heaven starts getting better, our powerful Eva teaches her to use her power properly. One night they are in the forest, dancing around a bonfire, and pulls even in her arms to kiss her. They make love for the first time.
• At first Luca was jealous, but he rapidly understands that the two witches are inseparable. Somehow, they end up forming a polyamory couple.
• Heaven loves sex with the two of them, and it can get very tender and sensual, but her favorite moments are still when she’s alone with her Eva.
• She sometimes weeps when Luca hugs her in bed, for the sensation of his slender arms around her body reminds her of Arthur. Eva, behind her, kisses her shoulder tenderly and whispers lovely and reassuring sentences in Spanish to soothe her.
• Loved and cared for, Heaven’s hatred for Tommy grows more and more. She firmly believes that Arthur’s and John’s death are his fault. She just remains worried for Polly and Ada.
• As time passes, Heaven is always by Eva’s side. She has become Eva’s lover and personal body guard, even if she’s far more able to defend herself. I like to picture our goth Queen Eva sitting on a sofa with a glass of wine in her hand, and caressing her angel’s hair with the other. Heaven would sit on the floor scattered with comfortable cushions, next to the sofa. She would be ready to poison and kill at her command.
• Heaven is the only one who manages to calm down Eva when her bad memories come to haunt her. She lays with her in bed, all naked, and gently stroke her long dark hair until Eva falls asleep. Sometimes, Heaven sings for her.
• “Eva is the Queen, and God has mercy on those who disrespect her royal mistress.”
Okay gonna stop her because I could write a whole series about the two of them. I know it’s quite original so I hope you’ll like it, Juli. 🤍✨

In The Graveyard with Lilith Rose Shelby (and Jack Nelson)
This work is inspired by @zablife and her 2K celebration: An Evening at The Arrow House. The OC of Lilith Rose Shelby is my own. The characters of Scarlet Shelby, Aurora Sabini, Heaven Shelby and Eva Smith belong to @zablife, @evita-shelby and @call-sign-shark. I only mentioned them because they inspired me. Eva is only mentioned by name but I did my best to do Scarlet and Heaven justice. Thank you for inspiring me.
TW: Violence, Sexual Content, Swearing.
Lilith Rose Shelby was all grown up. She’d flown the coop and (unlike most members of the Shelby clan) had miraculously escaped the clutches of Tommy’s schemes. Some suspected that her untapped freedom had to do with her immense luck in life… but for those who knew better….it was because Thomas Shelby loved no one more than his youngest sister. No one held such an influence over the greatest gangster turned MP in all of Great Britain (and its dominions) than Lilith, no one else had the keys to his smile or to his heart. You might ask Why, then, she was allowed to roam free? Not shackled to the Arrow House as Ada had once been to the shithole in small heath. Not obligated to attend every family dinner or family meeting that Tommy threw whenever he felt like it.
“Why?” The new Mrs Shelby kissed up Tommy’s back as he sat on the edge of the bed. “Will she not meet me?” Of all the people she desired to make a friend of in this family, Mrs Shelby wanted to make the best first impression on her mysterious good sister. Everyone spoke of her with reverence. Lilith’s name was the very essence of sorcery. Once spoken, even whispered in corridors and in dark corners, a shiver danced up one’s spine…or one’s blood spiked with adrenalin and excitement.
Thomas bristled and stiffened, not responding. Mrs Shelby paused, a pout forming on her nervous lips. In truth, she had expected for Thomas to be eager for his new wife to meet Lilith. The siblings were so close, that she’d expected for her to have been the first person he’d have introduced her to. Instead she was met with a cagey Thomas.
“Lilith doesn’t like Arrow House.” He deflected easily, lighting a cigarette as he stood up and wandered to the window, looking out into the foggy grey autumnal morning. He exhaled some smoke in the way that had her swooning, before he spoke again. “It reminds her of Grace.” Mrs Shelby’s heart dropped. Grace, the woman whose shadow she was forever enshrouded by. She didn’t openly wish to express her dislike of Grace or Lizzie, but she was beginning to despise them. She knew their spirits were mourned and honoured in this house…. if only by the staff and the children. It was complicated. But she hated being compared to them, hated the way the children refused to acknowledge her but would gaze in awe at the portraits of their respective mothers. It made her feel like a replacement…. nothing more. Perhaps Lilith would think the same of her. She chewed on her lip.
“She must have loved Grace a lot.” She mused. Tommy scoffed.
“On the contrary, Lilith hated Grace.” He licked his lips, glancing at his wife. He’d put it politely for her, spared some of the details. No one hated Grace more than Tommy’s beloved little demoness. “She disliked Lizzie as well, but for different reasons.”
“Oh.”
“Grace betrayed me. Lilith refused to forgive that. The only reason she refrained from dancing with joy when she died was that she loved me too much.”
“And Lizzie?”
“Lizzie broke John’s heart.” Tommy spoke casually, remorselessly as though he’d had nothing to do with it.
“I’ve not done anything to hurt anyone.” Mrs Shelby sulked, looking at the floor. Tommy strolled back over to the bed and took her into his arms.
“Quite right.” He kissed her forehead. “Perhaps it’s not such a bad idea to invite her this weekend.”
“But she hates the Arrow House.”
“She’ll come for the family, and for me. The kids will be delighted to see her”
“She’s good with them?” Her interest was piqued. Perhaps Lilith could shed light on the way to Charlie and Ruby’s hearts.
“She dotes on them.” He smiled, a real genuine smile. “They’re mine, after all.”
*****
Mrs Shelby skipped towards Tommy, her letter filled left hand raised in triumph. Her sparkling sapphire engagement ring sparkled in the light.
“They’re coming.” She kissed him joyously. “They’re all coming.”
“All?” He chuckled.
“All.” She confirmed. “And they’re all staying. Scarlet and Luca will stay in the room opposite Finn and Aurora. Alfie and Ada will stay in the room opposite Polly and Aberamma.” Tommy smiled as she babbled out her arrangements. He imagined it was a good idea that Alfie and Arthur should stay in separate wings of the house…. otherwise Ada and Heaven would be forced to intervene, and no one wanted a mess. Gina and Michael would go next to Ada and Alfie. John and Tatiana would have to be kept in the room next to Tommy and Mrs Shelby so he could keep an eye on that mad bitch. Speaking of that insane Russian duchess…. she’d have to be kept as far away from Lilith and her beloved husband, Jack Nelson. Last Christmas had been a disaster when Tatiana – having had way too much to drink – announced that herself and Lilith had been lovers for the entire year before Lilith had met Jack. Jack had hated her guts since. The children would have three whole rooms to themselves. Something Mrs Shelby wasn’t sure was appropriate, but something Tommy had insisted was necessary.
“They all love being together.” He insisted. “And it’s not like we’re giving them the entire house.”
“I’m still so shocked they’re all coming.” She smiled dreamily up at him. “I’ve always wanted a big family.”
“Well, now you have one.”
“You never told me Lilith was married.”
“Ah.” Tommy looked sheepish. “I didn’t think she’d bring him.”
Two years ago she’d eloped with Jack Nelson, the last man on earth Tommy had thought suitable or good enough for Lilith. Jack Nelson was everything Tommy (ironically) hated. He was unfaithful, violent, a fascistic Irish American and he was the most obnoxious, ambitious, cunning bastard he’d ever encountered…It was like looking in an ever so slightly warped mirror. His dislike of the American hadn’t stopped Lilith marrying him though…And yet somehow, the marriage worked. Jack followed the little Shelby witch round like a lost puppy, salivating whenever she looked at him. It was like she held some sort of magical enchantment over him. The loved up pair made Thomas feel a little bit sick. Mrs Shelby smiled teasingly.
“You can’t stand him, can you?”
“He’s not good enough for her.” He grouched. “But for some unfathomable reason, he makes her happy. That’s enough for me.” From the way he gritted his teeth it seemed like that hardest thing he’d ever had to say.
“Everyone thinks you’re a big bad gangster…but I know you’re really just a big softy.”
“Don’t go telling everyone, ey.” He laughed, “I have a reputation to uphold.” Wrapping his arms around her waist he hoisted her up onto the table, taking her lips with his own. Someone coughed. Tommy turned to see Mary, the maid.
“The house is all prepared for the guests, Mr Shelby.”
“Thank you, Mary. That will be all.” She nodded, turning to leave but not before she eyed Mrs Shelby with frigid, calculating eyes. Thomas didn’t seem to notice though as he shifted his attention back to Mrs Shelby as his fingers slid beneath the hem of her dress.
*****
They were nothing like she expected. None of them. Polly arrived first, gliding in like the image of sophistication, barely glancing at Mrs Shelby. Aberamma following closely at her heels. He grunted in greeting, simply tilting his head after removing his hat. Arthur and Heaven arrived at the same time as Scarlet and Luca. Arthur’s greeting had been sweet. He seemed to like her, spluttering over his words to greet her. His hands shook and his eyes looked a little wild. But he meant well. Heaven waltzed in behind him, looking like an angel in her white fur coat. The snow haired beauty’s presence seemed to ease Arthur’s nervousness. He wrapped his arm around her waist as she held out her hand for Mrs Shelby to shake.
“You must be Heaven.” Mrs Shelby stuttered, transfixed by her crystalline eyes.
“Pleasure.” Heaven’s eyes slid to Tommy and her expression instantly shifted to a predatory one. “Bastard.” She acknowledged with a cat like smile.
“Yes. He is.” Scarlet stated as she sauntered through, pushing her way past them and following Polly into the drawing room.
“You’re not going to say hello, Tesoro?” Luca paused in the hallway, smiling at Mary as she took his hat and coat.
“There’s no point in greeting Tommy’s latest victim. Knowing him, she won’t last the year.” Scarlet called back. Tommy watched Mrs Shelby’s confidence dissipate momentarily. Headlights glowed in the driveway.
“Heaven, why don’t you take Arthur and Luca into the drawing room.” Tommy suggested. Heaven’s icy eyes hardened before narrowing at him. Her lips parted in order to respond in a somewhat poisonous manner but Mrs Shelby stepped forward and whispered to her.
“I wouldn’t normally agree with Tommy but Alfie’s just arrived.” Heaven observed the mouse like woman Tommy had married for a moment before she nodded, escorting her husband and brother in law to the drawing room. Music blared as the door opened and Mrs Shelby could see the reflection of Scarlet in the large mirror as she turned the gramophone up.
“SHALOM Thomas!” Roared the bear of a man as he wandered in. Ada rolled her eyes beside him. She hugged Thomas tightly before embracing Mrs Shelby, much to her surprise.
“I hope they’ve not been too scathing to you.” She whispered. “Don’t worry, they’ll warm to you with time.” She pulled back and smiled. “This is my son, Karl, my daughter, Elizabeth and this,” She brushed her hand over her swollen midsection as Alfie beamed with joy. “Is baby Solomons.” Tommy paled as she spoke, only just noticing the pregnancy.
“Jesus Christ.” He muttered beneath his breath. Mrs Shelby held his hand and gave it a squeeze as she spoke.
“You’d better head on in before he has a stroke.”
Tommy had just about recovered when the door to the drawing room opened and he heard Arthur exclaim.
“Fookin’ hell Ada! You bloody kept that quiet, din’t ya?!”
Finn and Aurora Sabini arrived next. Polite and jovial as ever, though Aurora didn’t appear to like the way the youngest Shelby boy looked at his new sister in law. John, Tatiana, Michael and Gina all arrived together. Lawrence ran in from the cold, zooming in circles around Tommy and Mrs Shelby before running past them to the drawing room, banging on the door and yelling “Granma, Granma!”
“My boy!” Polly called in joy as she came out and greeted him, swooping down and collecting him in her arms before slipping back inside. Gina made a noise of disgust.
“Thomas.” She acknowledged.
“Regina.” She scowled as he full named her.
“So this is you’re newest whore?” She studied Mrs Shelby with critical eyes. “She doesn’t look like much, I’m surprised you’re so taken with her.”
“She’s worth ten of you, Regina.” He snapped.
“Michael.” Mrs Shelby smiled warmly. “Thank you for coming.”
“It’s nice to see you again, love. I hope he’s treating you right.”
“He is. Very Much.”
“I took the liberty of bringing a wedding gift. It’s out the front.”
“That’s very generous of you. Really, you didn’t have to.”
“Yes, Michael. You didn’t have to.” Gina snapped before stalking off to the drawing room and loudly demanding a drink. Michael winked at Mrs Shelby, smirked at Tommy and left them to it. He turned to greet John and Tatiana and froze.
“Fuck!” He fumed. “What the fuck are you wearing?!” He looked at John. “What the fuck is she wearing John-boy!”
“Don’t worry, Thomas.” Tatiana purred sensually. “It’s not for you…or your wife.” She stepped around him, the thin scrap of material she called a dress clinging to her figure. “Tatiana Petrovna Shelby, delighted to make your acquaintance.” Mrs Shelby blushed and stepped closer to Tommy as the Russian duchess invaded her space. Grabbing her jaw, Tatiana kissed both of Mrs Shelby’s cheeks.”
“She’d got a beautiful neck, Thomas. I can see why you like her.” She paused. “And that ring!” She snatched Mrs Shelby’s hand, admiring the sapphire encrusted in diamonds. She tutted. “I would have thought you’d learned your lesson with sapphires.”
“They’re a particular favourite of my wife’s.”
“Grace liked sapphires too.” Tatiana smirked, her dark eyes flickering madly in the candle-light. “Is Lilith here yet?” She changed the subject.
“Is she the reason you’re dressed like a whore?” Tommy took a swig of the amber liquid in his tumbler. “You not bothered by this John?”
“As long as I’m the only man she fucks, doesn’t matter to me.” He joked.
“It’ll only ever be you Johnny.” Tatiana turned and kissed him.
“Aye, John-boy. As long as you’re a Shelby, she’s not picky.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Mrs Shelby asked, nervously glancing at Tommy.
“It means that before she chose me, she was fucking Tommy…until she got bored of him.” John answered.
“Are we interupptin’ somethin’?” Came Uncle Charlie’s deep gravelly voice. He stopped short to shake Tommy’s hand, flanked by Johnny Doggs, Isiah and Curly. Curly smiled bashfully at Mrs Shelby and handed her some flowers. She blushed.
“Thank you Curly.”
“How’re you findin’ us so far, petal?” Johnny Doggs asked loudly.
“So far I’m struggling to find someone who likes both of us. Polly, Aurora and Gina dislike me, everyone else has a gripe with Tommy.” Johnny Doggs barked out a laugh. “Welcome to the clan!”
“Families.” Isiah scoffed. “Who’d have em?”
*****
Lilith Rose Shelby was the most beautiful creature Mrs Shelby had ever seen. So beautiful, that the air rocketed out of her lungs when she first saw her. They heard Jack first as he escorted her up the steps and held the door open for her. She looked like a goddess, draped in silk. Tommy was fascinated that Jack never once looked away from her. His only greeting to the new Mrs Shelby was a nod and a smirk. He sneered at Tommy before his attention gravitated back to his wife. She had the most beguiling dark eyes Mrs Shelby had ever seen. They were like pools of endless night. Lilith catapulted herself into Tommy, who embraced her tightly and inhaled her scent. Pomegranate and dark amber. She relaxed into him. Releasing her, Tommy cupped his baby sister’s face in his hands and looked at her for a moment.
“You grow more and more beautiful every time I see you.” He smiled.
“Brother.” She spoke quietly….and she sounded like magic. Soft and sensual. “You look well.” She beamed at him. And Mrs Shelby’s heart fluttered at her smile. Jack snaked a hand around Lilith’s waist and pulled her back against him.
“Shelby.” Jack acknowledged. “Married again? You can’t seem to get em’ to stay, can ya?”
“Nelson.” Tommy spoke evenly. “I can keep women just fine. In fact, I’ve never had to cross a continent and steal a woman away to make her mine. I suppose that means I have better luck than you.” Lilith covered Jack’s hand with her own.
“Or,” She interrupted loudly, “It simply means that I was special enough that he had to travel all this way to find me.” Mrs Shelby watched, fascinated as both men melted at Lilith words. Jack kissed Lilith’s forehead and Tommy smiled.
“Could be.” He agreed. Lilith stepped away from Jack and turned her attention to Mrs Shelby. All the noise fell away. She couldn’t hear anything. Apart from the sound of her blood pulsing through her at a rapid speed. She glanced at her husband, and watched his beautiful lips move as he spoke to Lilith and Jack. She watched Lilith study her, eyes raking over her in an unreadable manner. Mrs Shelby’s finger twitched as Lilith’s eyes pause over her engagement ring, her full soft lips quirking into a small smile for a moment before it vanishes. Mrs Shelby gasped, startled when Lilith unexpectedly stepped forward and smiled at her. Lilith took Mrs Shelby’s left hand in both of hers. Her thumb brushed over the sapphire. Her eyes pierced into Mrs Shelby’s hypnotically and Mrs Shelby found herself transfixed as Thomas brushed a hand up and down her back, comfortingly…. obliviously.
“Sister.” Lilith tested the word on her tongue as she surveyed Mrs Shelby. “You’ll be good to him, yes?” She sounded so innocent. So angelic. Her eyes held no malice. Mrs Shelby stuttered.
“Y-Yes. I shall try to be all that he deserves.”
Lilith beamed at her and released her hand. Mrs Shelby’s ring finger throbbed momentarily as she watched her fascinating sister turn and enter the drawing room with Jack. She saw through the reflection in the mirror as Polly embraced her niece tightly and was startled to see Lilith’s reflection gazing predatorily through the looking glass at her.
*****
Dinner was a fucking disaster. It had been nothing like she had hoped. Perhaps she was just projecting her own fears but it seemed that none of them liked her…. even the ones who appeared to. It seemed as though they were watching her every move with a pre-existing negative judgement. She was guilty to them, of something. The problem was she didn’t know what and she didn’t know how to change that. Tommy had enough to deal with, especially after Tatiana had goaded Jack into a row and she was swearing at him in Russian. Arthur had had way too much to drink. Scarlet was screaming at Tommy for something he’d done years ago and Luca was trying desperately to calm her down. She turned to look at Michael, who was in a heated discussion with Gina…and Aurora kept throwing her dirty looks. In the end she’d left the table, claiming to check on dessert. She’d just found a quiet alcove to take a few moments when someone touched her shoulder. She jolted and turned to see Lilith.
“Feeling overwhelmed?” Her voice was so soft, sympathy swirled in her onyx eyes.
“A little.”
A lot. I’ve bitten off more than I can chew.
“I know. We can be a lot to handle.” She looked out into the darkened garden. “Why don’t we go for a walk.” She suggested. “Take a moment to ourselves.” Mrs Shelby’s heart soared at the prospect of having a moment alone with someone who might actually like her and in doing so, might sway the opinion of the others. She nodded and took Lilith’s offered arm as the two of them stepped out into the cool autumn air.
It hadn’t been long since they had returned from their honeymoon and so Mrs Shelby hadn’t yet had time to explore the grounds of the Arrow House properly. In the dark murkiness of the evening she couldn’t really see where she was going and clutched on to Lilith’s bare arm a little closer for security. She smelt dizzyingly alluring. Away from all the smoke and whiskey the magic of her perfumed the air in a wonderful way.
“How did you meet my brother, if you don’t mind me asking?”
“Da’s one of his employees at Shelby Company ltd. I met Tommy when I brought Da his lunch.”
“How…. quaint.”
Mrs Shelby wasn’t paying attention. She was too bust staring at the purple love bites littering Lilith’s creamy throat. Lilith flushed and giggled when she noticed.
“I’m sorry, I should have covered up more, Jack can get carried away some times.”
“He’s very fond of you.”
“And I, him.” Lilith patted Mrs Shelby’s hand. “I never expected to find Jack. But he’s my better half. As Heaven is Arthur’s and Luca is Scarlet’s. We were worried Thomas would never find someone….worthy.” Lilith stopped her movements and released Mrs Shelby’s arm. For the first time, Mrs Shelby noticed her surroundings. Lilith had brought her to the churchyard close to the Arrow House. She turned, only just able to see the outline of it looming in the moonlight. She shivered, looking back to Lilith who was now staring at something in front of her. “Thomas has very specific needs.” Her voice had lost all of its warmth. Mrs Shelby’s mouth ran dry as she read the names on the gravestones in front of her.
Grace Burgess Shelby.
Daughter, Mother, Beloved Wife.
Elizabeth Stark Shelby
Mother, wife, friend. Lost to childbirth.
Something rustled behind them. Lilith turned and smiled adoringly as Jack stepped out of the shadows. Mrs Shelby wondered how he had known where to find them. “You have to be a certain kind of person to survive in this family. Don’t you, my love?”
“Ya got that right. It’s an honour to love a Shelby…to be prepared to kill and die for them.”
“Thomas needs a fighter.” Lilith reached out and caressed Mrs Shelby’s cheek. “You didn’t fight tonight. You fled, little mouse.” Lilith tutted and stepped closer, so close, Mrs Shelby could feel Lilith’s sweet, warm breath burning against her flesh. “How can I trust that you’ll fulfil him?” Lilith shook her head, looking sad, disappointed even. Jack brushed his wife’s hair off her shoulder, exposing her flesh. He pressed a kiss into the crook of her neck. Mrs Shelby watched Lilith relax a little. “You’re not good enough for him.” Lilith purred softly, Jack’s lips and tongue trailed down Lilith’s neck as she spoke. “Neither of them were, either.” She glanced to the gravestones behind her. “I was lucky with Lizzie; God took care of her. But I had to intervene with Grace.”
“B-but we’re happy.” Mrs Shelby spluttered, fear creeping into her voice every second longer that she spent in Lilith’s presence.
“For now. Until he realises that you’re not enough for him.” She paused, relishing in the look of despair on Mrs Shelby’s features. “Don’t worry. He’ll be happier than ever with Eva. They’ll be perfect together.” Jack hummed in agreement with his beloved and imprinted his teeth in a perfect love bite into her neck as she slid home a beautiful carved and somewhat bejewelled blade into Mrs Shelby’s sternum. Mrs Shelby gasped in pain, a sharp sound leaving her soft lips. “She’s earned him, you haven’t.” Lilith continued as she twisted the hilt, a horrible tearing noise was heard before Lilith let go. Mrs Shelby staggered back and fell back against the willow tree overhanging the makeshift graveyard. Lilith looked down at her blood spattered fingers. Lifting them to her face she licked one, smearing her lips in the substance. Greedily, Jack took her fingers and painted his own mouth with them. Lilith spun in Jack’s arms, giggling and moaning as their lips fused, unbuckling his belt. She murmured something to him and he acquiesced without question, sitting and leaning back against Grace’s headstone. Lilith slipped her dress over her head until she was wearing barely anything in the coldness of the autumn night. She straddled Jack, kissing him deeply before sliding down onto him in the ghostly glow of the full moon.
Mrs Shelby heaved, opening her mouth. She tried to call for help but no sound emerged. Instead she found herself mute, only coughing and spluttering on the crimson blood as it tried to liberate itself from her mouth. Her vision grew blurry for a moment as tears gathered and obscured her sight.
And then she saw them.
The ghosts of Grace Burgess and Lizzie Stark, both completely drenched in blood and staring in horror, not at her but at Lilith and Jack, as he flipped his wife over and took her like an animal. Lizzie’s expression was melancholic. Her hair loose and wild, eyes ceaselessly spilling tears and her mouth agape in silent cries of agony. Her body had been slit open from chest to lower abdomen and still, even in death, she was bleeding. Grace stood beside her still in the gown she wore the night she was murdered. the bullet wound on her chest still wept even though she didn’t. Her face was curiously, disturbingly calm. The sapphire around her neck pulsed and throbbed and pulsed and throbbed. And suddenly Grace wasn’t looking at Lilith and Jack anymore, her pale grey eyes locking onto her second replacement. Mrs Shelby found herself growing shivery and yet unable to move, unable to scramble backwards as the sapphire whispered to her over and over some kind of spell in Romani. The curse…. she recalled hazily as she forced her limbs in an attempt to move. Tommy believed it had been cursed by the Russians. Mrs Shelby’s fingers dug into the soil as she pushed herself up into a sitting position. Every movement was excruciating in both pain and in effort. Her eyes fluttered closed in exhaustion and the spell of the sapphire seemed to sing louder and louder, it’s feminine voice echoing seductively in her ears. She realised it was coming not only from the necklace Grace’s ghost wore, but also from the ring on her engagement finger. Struggling, she tried desperately to remove it. But to no avail, it was as though it had fused to her flesh, strangling her finger.
Mrs Shelby’s eyes snapped open. Just in time to see the ghost of Grace stood over her.
“I should feel sorry for you.” Grace whispered. “You’re a victim of this family, just like me.” She paused, licking her discoloured corpse lips. Grace heard it too. She heard that it was Lilith’s voice cursing her inside the blue sapphires, not Tatiana’s. “And Tommy does love you.” There was a moment of silence. “But… I’ve come to realise something.” Grace leaned down and kissed Mrs Shelby’s lips, her ghostly fingers coming up to wrap around Mrs Shelby’s throat. “If I can’t have Tommy…” Grace murmured as she pulled back looking deeply into Mrs Shelby’s eyes.
Her grip tightened...and tightened…and tightened. Mrs Shelby choked and spluttered, her body convulsing. The last thing she saw was Lilith’s dark eyes staring at her over Jack’s shoulder, her nails digging into his back as he held her to him. And Grace’s hoarse voice looming over her.
“Then no one can.”

touch - r. jerimovich
pairing(s): richie jerimovich x f!reader
warning(s): none
song: nothing specific - whatever you desire
Richie absolutely feels the need to constantly maintain physical contact with you, especially if you are in the same vicinity as him, it brings him comfort, plus, it shows everyone that you're his, he'd never waste a chance to show his girl off
If the stars were to align and you both had the day off, nine times out of ten, the two of you would spend it together - whether you chose to spend it at home, or out running errands, Richie made sure to be at your side. If it were to be a day spent on the couch, Richie would be found laying on your stomach, mindlessly toying with the waistband of your shorts as you scratched at his scalp
Now, running errands easily became a challenge with a lover like Richie Jerimovich - if you bent down to grab your favorite box of cereal, there he was, either slapping your backside, or pretending to bang you from behind. And heaven forbid, if the young cashier happened to become a bit too smiley with you, you'd suddenly feel the weight of Richie's arm hanging around your shoulder as he stares down the cashier
Whether it be a drive home from work, or a drive to pick up Eva from school, maybe even a quick drive to pick up your paycheck - Richie's hand never failed to make its way to your thigh as he patted your leg along to the beat of whichever song that happened to be playing on the radio. And boy, did he love whenever you'd randomly lean over the center console to steal a quick kiss from him, even though he'd quickly become stressed out, "I'm going to fuckin' crash, if you keep doing this, sweetheart," and he'd say it with a gleeful smile
Of course, you loved having a bit of innocent fun with Richie's need for physical touch - maybe, you'd purposely brush against him as you made your way through the restaurant, or you'd allow your hand to fall high on his thigh as you leaned over him to talk to Sydney, maybe you'd even slide your hands across his stomach and nuzzle yourself into his side as he obnoxiously ranted to Neil
Now, what Richie loved the most? Showing everyone that you were his girl, and his alone. If you were at the bar, he'd have you sitting in his lap as he bounced his knee. If you were at dinner, he'd have your fingers interlocked with his across the table for the entirety of your meal - he'd even make sure to press his lips to your knuckles every now and again, sometimes he'd playfully bite down on your knuckles, for his own satisfaction.
You would think that his cravings for touch would calm down a bit, once the two of you were asleep, but you couldn't be more wrong. "Come here, baby, its cold," he'd rasp as he groggily pulled you into his chest, hooking your leg over his front as you sleepily hummed in response. And if you'd manage to roll over in your sleep, Richie would somehow find himself with his head laying on your chest with his hand cupping your breast, underneath his oversized shirt that you'd staked your claim on
Richard Lawrence Jerimovich absolutely loved taking showers with his girl. Half of the time would be spent with him rambling on and on about his frustrations at work, while you stood of your tiptoes to properly shampoo his hair, "Hold on, babe, let me fuckin'," he turned you around as he began to work the shampoo into your hair, "ah, there we go, so I fuckin' told Carmen-" and he'd continue his rant, unknowingly lulling you into a silent trance, but he didn't care, he got to play with his girl's hair while she leaned her naked body into his touch
Maybe physical touch eased his always looming cloud of anxiety? Maybe it made him feel wanted by the one he cherished the most? Richie doesn't know what it was about feeling you that could bring him back down to earth, even at his most blistering fits of rage, but it soothed him, it made him feel safe. Feeling you was a reminder to him that he has you, and god, Richie Jerimovich can never get enough of his girl

О, можешь пожалуйста сделать запрос на то как Адам отреагировал если его возлюбленную экзорциста убьет его сын Каин, потому что ему так приказала Ева. Спасиб♡
Please note that requests are accepted and executed in English
Request: Oh, can you please make a request on how Adam reacted if his exorcist fem lover was killed by his son Cain, because Eve ordered it. Thank you♡
🎸 Adam x exorcist angel fem!Reader headcanons Revenge ✨️
Adam was sure that his subordinates could not lose to some sinners. Especially you. You were his favorite among the exterminators, not only because you were one of the best, but also because you were dating. It was no secret, and after every day of extermination, he was happy to meet you, watching you stained with the blood of sinners
He rarely found you in Hell, but this time you were there together. He was glad to see you fight, and being confident of your victory, he was distracted by his battle until he heard your scream. When he turned around, he saw you bleeding. You were sitting on the ground, trying to clamp your wound, but you were doing poorly, and next to you, holding a bloody weapon in his hands, stood a sinner in whom he recognized his own son, Cain
Cain looked at him indifferently, then finished you off with a precise blow to the heart. You fell dead, and Adam hurried to you. He hoped that he could still save you, but that was clearly not the case. Cain watched as his father tried to save you, taking his time to leave or attack. It was only when Adam looked at Cain that he spoke
Cain didn't talk much. All he said was that his mother sends her regards. There was only one person Cain called that. Eve. He obviously did it on his mother's orders, which means Eva knew how dear you were to him. She wanted to ruin Adam's life and therefore took away from him the most precious person in his life, you. Cain is gone, leaving Adam in the midst of chaos, holding your body in his hands
Adam took your body back to Heaven, and with your death, he lost any hint of pity for sinners. He was going to take revenge on Eve for having their son take your life on her orders. He couldn't give you back your life, but at least he could take revenge on his ex-wife and all the sinners who stood in his way

xxx
The story of Adam and Eve is unarguably one of the most recognized stories from the Bible, if not the most. It tells of the first man and woman, and how they loss their immortality in exchange for tasting the forbidden fruit, lured by the snake that was Lucifer into yearning for its knowledge.
But Joel knew the truth behind the tale. The fruit was not a fruit at all, and the snake was not Lucifer, or even one of his minions.
No, the snake was love, and the fruit was pleasure.
x
Centuries later, he still dreams of them.
The memories containing them clipped like a highlight reel that he helplessly observes as he slumbers most nights.
It freshens the festering wounds on his soul; renews the agony he would do anything to numb permanently.
Almost anything.
He never would wish to forget the beginning. He only longed to erase the pain at the end.
x
Have you heard of Lucifer and how he and his aligned angels rebelled against God? How God banished them from Heaven for it and created Hell to be their prison?
Like any prison, Hell was not inescapable. Lucifer was able to influence humans from below, and his fellow fallen angels managed to slip through the exits, the gates of Hell, every once in a while. They influenced the humans, turned them from the light, from God, and the most sinful of the humans were punished too.
Their souls were sent to Hell, and with time, they became demons, Lucifer's minions. These demons were easier to summon to Earth, and became the biggest threat to humanity by sheer numbers.
God's angels were sent to Earth regularly to combat them. He also had a son who sacrificed himself in the hopes of saving as many souls as possible. The fight was still fairly matched.
Usually light and darkness balanced out, but every once in a while, usually when the fallen walked the Earth, darkness threatened all.
One of these times lasted decades. And in those decades the fallen fell into temptation, as were their natures. They saw the beauty of human women and sought them out, taking pleasure in them, tasting them, whether or not they were willing. Whether or not there was deception involved.
Inevitably, offspring resulted from these unions. Nephilim. Giants in the Bible, but deceptively human in truth. Dangerous all the same. They were overpowered and seen as a threat to humanity, so they were exterminated from the Earth.
A flood of blood was left in the wake of the war against them. Not since Lucifer's rebellion had the light been in such turmoil, for no matter how monstrous the nephilim were at times, they were still the children of their brethren.
Archangel Jaoel had been one of the many who struggled with the morality of the slaughter, advocating for imprisonment instead. But Archangel Michael, the leader of all angels in Heaven, God's right hand, held a zero tolerance. As far as he was concerned, nephilim were too big of a risk to let live. Better they die and let God and Lucifer decide where their souls ended up.
So all of Heaven's angels fell in line with his orders, even Jaoel.
Eventually the blood stains faded from his ethereal hands.
It didn't matter. He still remembered their faces.
x
There were many centuries of peace before the next battle between good and evil commenced. Demons were rising again in massive numbers, and many angels were sent to Earth to protect humans of interest. Humans that were important or going to be important someday.
Jaoel was amongst the angels sent down to play guardian angel, to his dismay. He was an archangel. He'd played messenger before, but never babysitter. He was a warrior. He wanted to fight, not stand around and observe a human for days on end in case a demon sought to extinguish their life.
He couldn't even comprehend how the human he was assigned could be important. Eva was a sheep farmer, living in the forest in seclusion, unusual for a woman of her time, but she had no qualities of a leader.
She was quiet, naturally so since she hardly ever interacted with other humans except to trade. She was soft, too emotional for her time. She mourned the animals she hunted; she sobbed for the lambs that never got to take their first breaths. She lived in her own little bubble, content with not knowing the outside world.
What demon would bother an attempt to corrupt her or take her life? They had no reason to harm a shepherd; no way to draw her towards the dark. Jaoel wasn't sure he'd ever seen a human so pure. Her eternal light an endearing companion to her God-given beauty. Her dark curls and rich bronze skin.
Her allure was sly, slinking slowly into the recesses of Jaeol's mind, igniting something deep within him that had never been awakened before. He felt it every time Eva talked kindly to her woolly wards. Every time she smiled. Every time she laughed or sang, her syrupy voice lulling him into temptation.
He was compelled to know her. For her to know him. He introduced himself to her as a human vagabond in need of work, using her kind heart against her, forcing proximity. She hired him and he began to help her mend fences and care for her sheep under the ruse. He had a lot to learn, but Eva was a patient teacher.
It was too late by the time he realized he'd gone too far; gotten too close, fallen into the trap many angels had before him. He'd convinced himself they could be friends, all the while the passions of human copulation dangerously plagued his daydreams. He knew enough of it, the science behind the physical act, to have a picture of it in mind, to understand it, though not the emotions and sensations linked to it.
He wished to experience it all with her, rational thought slowly losing its battle.
A battle that swiftly came to its pathetic end on a late summer morning almost a year to the day after he initiated their first interaction, six from the day he was assigned as her protector.
That day a demon made an attempt on her life and she'd witnessed his wrath in full glory as he easily plunged his angelic blade in its chest, smoky gray wings exposed for her to eyeball in great detail before he hid them away belatedly.
She was not afraid as he feared she would be, only grateful that a divine being was there to save her.
"Will you be leaving, now that the threat has been extinguished?" she inquired, her expression trained with the intention of hiding her warring emotions.
"I do not know," he answered honestly, allowing himself to brush his smooth fingertips along the contours of one of her cheeks, to touch her for the first time.
He drew in a sharp breath. Her skin was softer than he'd ever imagined.
Her warm brown eyes fluttered shut to his quiet affection finally expressed. She shared it with him.
"So what now?"
What now indeed. Was the demon her only threat or was there more to come? How soon would he be called back home if she was safe?
How much longer did they have?
Jaoel didn't want to wait to find out.
He pulled Eva to him, an iron grip on her upper arms, crushing his lips to hers with a ferocity that combated his inexperience. She melted in his hold, absorbing all of his need, accepting it, expressing her own in the form of a sweet moan that reverberated in his sensitive ears and etched itself permanently into his cerebrum.
He kissed her over and over again, unable to get enough of her divine taste. Years of longing, and she was finally his.
As he was hers.
Without spoken word they both expressed their yearning for more through those desperate kisses and touches to every part of each other they could easily reach without parting.
Eva slowly stepped backwards, leading him like a mythical siren into her home, a cottage perfect for two.
In the dim light of the stony dwelling they began to peel off their clothing, peppering kisses to each other's newly exposed skin as they did so.
"Have you ever done this before?" she asked between heaving breaths, her tone lacking judgement.
"Never," he replied, a drawn out groan accompanying his words as her right hand skimmed tantalizingly close to the waistline of his underwear, too close to the hardening bulge in his pants.
He could feel a heat blooming over his cheekbones. He had often prided himself with knowledge. To be as unsure as he was in their situation was humbling.
Eva smiled widely and placed a hand along his bearded jaw. "I will show you then."
He watched intensely as she removed his last garment then reached out for his right hand and guided it down her body, over the tops of her bared breasts and her soft stomach, not hesitating when his hand found the nest of dark hair between her hips, and only stopping when his fingers glided into her folds with her direction.
She was so warm and wet, more inviting than he could've hoped.
She gasped at the touch she'd instigated, swinging her head back, and Jaoel felt his stomach swoop at the sight of the sinful strain of her neck. He tugged her closer and sucked a bruise onto the skin over her vein there, and she hummed happily, basking in his affection.
"That's it," Eva murmured breathlessly. "Let what you see and feel guide you. I want it all, Jaoel. Everything you want. Everything you'll give."
With some men it would have been a dangerous promise, seen as permission to reveal their darkest desires, ones that shined a light on their cruelty, but she knew she could trust him. That he would take care of her. She'd known him well before she knew what he was, and what he was didn't matter. Only who he was. Her Jaoel. The man who tended to her sheep as attentively as she did. Who ate her every word. Who had never judged her for thinking out loud.
He hissed at her vow and rested his forehead against hers. "I want you all around me. I want to know exactly how it feels. But first I want to see how it feels."
He cupped her firmly where she'd left his hand and she got the message, silently showing him where her sensitive nub was and how to use his fingers to elicit a response from her.
He was mesmerized by what resulted - her quickening breaths, the unrestrained moans that tumbled out of her mouth, the pounding of her heart that sounded like thunder to his supernatural ears. Sweat glistened on her skin as she rocked herself into his touch, trying to get herself there faster, a desperate look on her face.
He found her hole with his index finger, without her help, and hooked it inside her, and that was what did her in. Her breath caught and she mewed into his face, slumping in his muscular arms as she did so.
"Faex!" she panted. "Are you sure you haven't done that before?"
Jaoel hardly heard her question, too caught up in the instant replay rolling in his mind. He'd always thought Eva was beautiful, but she was even more so when she came. And those sounds that she'd made, the way she'd leaned on him after, he'd almost been unable to control himself. He was aching so badly for her that it was all he could think about.
He messily covered her mouth with his and easily scooped her up off the ground, taking full advantage of his superior strength. She threw her arms around his neck and held on tightly as he pushed her up against the wall of the cottage's main room, ignoring the hardness of the stone pressed into her spine to focus on his, grinding her heat against his ready cock after securing her legs around his hips.
They worked together to ease her down onto him as he slowly pushed up inside her, not stopping until he was covered to the hilt.
The sensation of being confined by her warm, slick walls overwhelmed him. A feverish instinct he didn't know he had took over, urging him to drive into her repeatedly, seeking friction as she raked her delicate fingers through his thick wavy hair, encouraging him. "That's it. That's it. Jaoel!"
He'd set a pace not too fast or slow, but it didn't matter. There was no way for him to hold off long enough for her to come again, not with how good everything felt, even as it bordered pain. Not with how she writhed against him and whimpered.
"Can't take it anymore," he grunted out.
"Don't then," she gasped.
Several more deep snaps of his hips into her and his body stiffened as he filled her up with his seed. He shut his eyes as it happened, fully embracing the ecstasy and relief that paired perfectly with his release.
When he opened them again his eyes met hers, and they beamed at each other. His heart wanted to burst at the unabated joy in her expression. He knew he loved her then.
He set her down gently on her feet again and kissed her more sweetly than before, dipping two fingers into her heat as he did so and thrusting them in and out in the same manner as he had with his cock. Eva submitted, clinging to him as he wound her up again.
He didn't stop until she was crying out his name.
x
He'd been out with a bow and arrow hunting unsuccessfully for deer all morning the day his life unfathomably changed.
Jaoel arrived back home empty handed but not displeased. He and Eva still had plenty to eat from his last hunt and the garden, so some time alone to sort his thoughts on the back of a horse was reward enough.
His peace did not last for long when he discovered the cottage vacant of all life. Fear struck his soul as his mind drew the worst conclusion. That Eva had been discovered by his brethren and ripped away from him less than a full year after they first indulged in the passion that came with romantic love.
But then he remembered the spring nearby that ran tepid warm, the pool she loved to bathe in, and recalled her wishes to be in it.
But if she's there - Jaoel thought, freezing at the implication of her going there alone.
He dropped his bow at the door and raced for the cave where the warm body of water was contained. It was a little ways into it, but not so much so that darkness impended his sight - or anyone's for that matter. The sunlight still shone through.
He sucked in a deep breath of simultaneous relief and trepidation as he made out her naked form in the pool, arms bent over the edge with her forehead pressed to the backs of her splayed hands.
"Eva," he called out hesitantly.
She lifted her head to peer over at him and her shoulders relaxed at the same time as a corner of her mouth curled up. "Knew you'd remember. I wanted to wait for you, but it got to be too much. I wanted to make sure I could still walk here."
He kicked off his boots and sat beside her on the edge, letting his legs drop into the pleasantly warm liquid she was sitting in. "When did you start feeling the pains?"
"Almost immediately after you left," she informed him. "But not soon enough to flag you down."
"The whole morning?"
She nodded and he pulled his lips into a thin line, a subtle grimace. "I'm sorry, mulsa. If I had known I'd have never gone out."
"You couldn't have known," she said with a hitched breath. She tensed up and dug her nails into the gravel surrounding the natural pool. "You're here now."
Jaoel turned to place a hand on her shoulder in support as she rode out what people in later times would call a contraction.
"I should've alerted the midwife days ago when the baby dropped," he stated aloud.
"That was not my wish," she hissed.
It had been his.
When Eva had conceived his child in mid autumn the previous year, only a couple months after they began their passionate relationship, Jaoel had feared her being struck down by Heaven's army, but then she'd come up with the ridiculous idea of doing this on her own, no medical back up if something were to go wrong, as they did fairly often in her time, and then he'd feared that more.
She didn't like the local midwife though, and he had to admit he understood why. She was not very sympathetic and wasn't afraid to lecture her patients when they didn't perfectly follow the rules she had set in place, including a zero tolerance for manual labor outside the home. That included herding sheep.
The stern elderly woman would probably have an aneurysm if she knew Eva had forgone a bed for a pool of water. Water births were not typical, but a town friend had told her about the practice once when she was halfway through her pregnancy and Eva hadn't given up the dream since.
She'd been so determined to give birth in the spring that when Jaoel had brought up his concerns she'd pushed back. "Let me do it alone then!" she had shouted.
And he had gently turned her head to look him back in the eyes. "Not so long as I breathe."
The idea of being there through the entire birth was daunting, but he would not leave her without someone to comfort her and help usher their child into the world.
A child he'd once dreaded, but now nervously awaited.
It was not like he hadn't understood how he'd gotten Eva pregnant. He'd known fully well what repeated unprotected copulation with her would likely lead to, but she'd made him feel invincible for a time, and she'd wanted a family long before he entered her life. The combination of his recklessness and her care free attitude about it had made her pregnancy only a matter of time.
At the beginning he couldn't share the happiness she felt because he'd seen first hand the cards that were dealt to nephilim. He'd dealt some of the cards himself, to mostly mature ones who had actually deserved it, but still. It would be hypocritical to think his child would be above eradication; that his fellow angels would leave them alone just because he was the father.
Eva would not let him stay detached. She convinced him to voice his concerns and to forgive himself for obeying his orders. She'd convinced him that they were safe at the farm for now, and when they weren't they'd move on. That it was going to be okay.
Then she'd pressed his hand to her swollen belly as the baby kicked and he'd lost all reason once more.
He thought of that tiny foot nudging against his palm through firm skin as Eva's contractions increased in strength and closed in on each other.
She clutched at him through it all, like he was a log floating down river rapids. Her salvation.
He held onto her comfortingly, drawing small circles on her back until she pulled herself away from him, towards a rock shelf on the north side of the pool, a shallow spot.
"Baby’s coming," she panted out, sitting up against the side of the pool and already bearing down with her whole body, her eyes squeezed shut.
All the lambings in the world couldn't have prepared him for this.
He followed her, kneeling in the water before her and nodding. "I have you both."
He did his best to stay stoic and encourage her as she worked to move the baby out of her, listening to her body, pushing with the contractions. He felt utterly helpless and impressed by her strength all at once as he waited with his arms open, at the ready.
He wasn't sure exactly how long it took, but one moment his arms were empty and the next he was holding an infant in them - their daughter.
He raised her up out of the water and studied her little face in wonder as she starred back up at him intensely. He could already tell she was going to look so much like her mother, but those dark brown eyes, those were all him.
The observation made his breath catch and he found himself transfixed, locked in that moment with her. Just looking.
Then she scrunched up her face and began to wail.
Jaoel thought he'd seen everything beautiful to see in the universe, but witnessing his daughter's first breath, first cry - a life beginning, one created out of the love he and Eva shared - he'd never seen anything more beautiful outside of his father's throne room.
“It’s alright, babygirl, you’re fine,” he soothed automatically. “Wanna meet your mama?”
He glanced over to Eva and her face lit up. She gestured for him to hand over their daughter almost desperately and he did so carefully so not to drop her back into the water.
A look of awe passed over Eva’s tired face and she started sobbing, her head pressed gently against her daughter’s.
“Are you alright my love?” Jaoel asked, concerned, touching the elbow of her right arm.
She nodded vigorously. “Yes, it’s just…she’s perfect, Jaoel. And she’s ours.”
The disbelief in her shaky voice made him smile. “Yes, she is. And she's just as perfect as her mother.”
Jaoel had never felt such overwhelming joy as he did then, not since standing in front of God himself, and even then it was a different kind of thrill.
He figures years later that he should have known better than to settle into it.
Everything is fleeting.
x
Jaoel.
One word, his name, and his world greyed.
He'd heard it said behind him, but he didn't want to turn around. He wanted to keep looking forward, watching his five year old daughter innocently play in a field of dandelions, not a care in the world.
He knew that voice. It might as well have been an axe.
"Jaoel, what have you done?" the voice hissed, outrage barely contained.
He swung around then, meeting eyes with a woman nearly his height and in a dark green tunic and sandals. Her hair was a stark pale blonde and her eyes were ghostly blue. Icy, just like her attitude.
"Jophiel," Jaoel said. "What are you doing here?"
"Gathering everyone," Jophiel replied. "The fight is over for now. The demons are controlled. The humans are safe. Or so we thought."
She jerked her head in his daughter's direction.
"She's not dangerous," Jaoel told her firmly. "She's just a child."
"Of course she's dangerous!" Jophiel screeched. "I can feel her power radiating out from here. She is an abomination!"
"She is mine!" Jaoel growled, taking a step forward, chest out. Furious and terrified but refusing to show the latter. "She is no abomination. You've shed enough blood. Leave us be."
"You know they won't do that," said another quieter, subdued voice.
Under other circumstances Jaoel would've been elated to hear it, but it that moment it pained him.
"Thomas," Jaoel whispered.
He craned his neck to see him to his right, dressed in a tunic as well, his cream. He looked younger than Jaoel by six years, around twenty-six years old based on human aging, but it was an allusion. Heaven's angels didn't age. Only the fallen, and even they aged very slowly.
Thomas was as close to a brother of blood as angels could get. Jaoel had been in charge of training him right after the lower angel had been created. They'd spent hundreds of years fighting the dark side by side. They'd cared about and trusted each other more than all their other fellow angels.
Jaoel had no idea where Thomas would fall in this argument. Thomas was as loyal to Heaven as he'd been and even if he did side with him, it meant he'd be banished from Heaven too. Most likely killed, if not thrown into Hell with the rest of the fallen who would eat him alive for not having sided with them, with Lucifer, when they rebelled.
For his daughter's sake he wanted Thomas on his side, but for his brother's sake he wished he'd never shown up.
Thomas looked torn. He had never agreed with the zero tolerance rule for the nephilim either. He'd slain one, a teenage boy, under Jophiel's direct orders once and had been haunted by it for decades. The boy had shown signs of delinquency but nothing atypical of a human his age. He'd begged for his life. Jophiel had promised a tortured death if Thomas didn't do it himself. She'd cornered him.
She'd never tried it with Jaoel before because they were both archangels, but in that dandelion field she changed that. There was a reason Jophiel had brought Thomas with her. Most likely she'd had her suspicions after Jaoel stopped checking in with his siblings, giving updates.
(In hindsight, it had been a poor decision, but he'd been afraid a fellow angel would see through his lies, the stories he made up to cover that he was no longer just guarding Eva.)
Jaoel could see what Jophiel was trying to do from a mile away.
"You belong with us, Jaoel," she stated stiffly. "I am not completely heartless. Let us dispose of her. Thomas will do it, quick and painless, and then you can come home. I will forgive your transgressions, convince Michael to give you a pass."
She only didn't want to face one of Heaven's most powerful warriors, fallen or not. A lesser angel would've never gotten any ounce of mercy.
"Over my dead body," Jaoel spat out, pulling his blade from one of his coat pockets.
"This won't end well for anyone if we fight him like this," Thomas told Jophiel. "You're a better leader, but Jaoel's a better fighter and he knows all my tricks."
Jophiel huffed, clearly not pleased that he'd pointed it out but smart enough to know not to be bull headed about it. "You're right. We need back up. Come along."
She spread her stunning golden brown wings that spanned ten feet and flew away without further do.
Thomas lingered, unable to look Jaoel straight in the eye.
He sighed. "Of all of our siblings, I'd have put you on the list of least likely to be tempted by a human woman. You've put me in an awkward position, big brother."
"I'm sorry," Jaoel said honestly. "It just happened. I cannot describe how I got here. Why she's here. But look at her, Thomas. Please."
Thomas glanced up, obeying, and Jaoel shifted to see what he was seeing.
His daughter, standing still in the middle of the field with a beautiful blue butterfly clinging to her tiny index finger, her chocolate eyes bright and curious.
When he turned back to Thomas he saw a softness in them. "She is beautiful," his brother admitted. "If it were up to me she would live. You wouldn't be forced away from this place. But alas, it is not my decision. If I argued, I'd be cast out too."
The last two sentences sounded bitter, an aged rage in the words, and Jaoel knew he was thinking of the boy.
Jaoel shook his head. "I'm not asking you to rebel. I'm asking you to disappear, busy yourself. Find a wayward demon on your way to gather others for our execution. Stay out of this."
Thomas gave him a small, bittersweet smile. "Always looking out for me." His expression turned solemn. "Even when I fail you."
Jaoel's stomach dropped and he realized then that Jophiel had never mentioned killing Eva, even though the mothers of the nephilim were always executed as well.
"No..."
"Jophiel has been observing you all morning," Thomas told him. "She waited until you left and struck herself. She found me after, said there was one last evil for me to dispatch. A nephilim. She never said it was your daughter. But she did say she already killed the mother."
Jaoel backed a few steps from him. "No...no...you're lying. Jophiel's put you up to it."
"I wish it was one of her elaborate plans, that I was lying. But I'm not."
"NO!" Jaoel snarled, charging forward to grab a fist full of the fabric just under his neck. "She can't be dead!"
"Take your daughter and run, now." Thomas said, more pleading than commanding. "I'll bury her."
"No! You're lying! I'm not leaving her behind."
It couldn't be true. She was his one. His soulmate, as the humans would say. Denial was all he had to keep himself from falling apart.
Thomas sought his eyes out. "Look me in the eyes, brother, you know I'm a bad liar."
Jaoel didn't want to, but he did, and he regretted it. There was no lie in his eyes. Only painful truth.
Thomas saw the change in his expression. The anguish. "I'm so sorry." He went to cup his face but Jaoel fell to his knees.
Thomas was already gathering him up and helping him back to his feet as soon as he hit the ground. "Go. Save your daughter while you still can. She won't take long."
He might have as well shoved a blade through his heart, it would've hurt less. But Jaoel knew Thomas was right. He had to leave with his daughter now. He couldn't go back to bury Eva. He couldn't go home to say goodbye.
Tears blinded him. "Bury her by the oak tree next to the barn. She loved lying in the shade there on sunny days."
Thomas gave him a curt nod. "It is done."
Jaoel started for his daughter on trembling legs.
"Jaoel," Thomas called out after he got a few feet.
He glanced back at him. "Her name was Eva."
"And your daughter's?" Thomas inquired.
"Sarah," Jaoel answered. "It was her grandmother's name."
He didn't waste anymore time after that, racing towards Sarah without checking if Thomas was leaving. He could take care of himself. Sarah could not.
"Daddy, what's wrong?" she asked, frowning at the way he'd rushed to her and at the pain in his expression.
"Daddy can't explain now," he told her, trying not to choke up. "Dangerous people are coming here. We have to go."
Her eyes rounded with fear. "What about Mommy?"
"I sent someone to get her," Jaoel replied. It was vague enough not to be a lie.
He would tell her the full truth later, after they put distance between them and Jophiel.
"We're going to fly to escape them," he said, trying to mask his grief as much as he could. "Come quick."
Sarah lit up. She had always loved flying. Flying made everything better.
She jumped into Jaoel's waiting arms and wrapped her arms around his neck as he unfurled his wings. She stared at them in awe as she always did, then Jaoel launched off the ground.
He flew her far away, not sure where to go, only knowing that no matter where they went, they'd never be safe for long.
x
The morning light shining through the open bedroom window of the abandoned cottage Jaoel had set up as a safehouse just before her birth bathed Sarah in gold as she slumbered, a sight that soothed Jaoel's ravaged, aching heart.
Finding out Eva was dead had been painful, telling Sarah the news had destroyed him.
She'd fallen asleep from utter exhaustion after all the tears she'd shed, but despite how weary Jaoel was, he'd been unable to catch any sleep himself.
He was too worried about his siblings finding them. Was too caught up in how open ended everything felt. He'd never be able to tell Eva goodbye. Would never have any idea what her final moments were like. He could only hope Jophiel had been merciful about it; something that had never been her strong suit.
He'd spent most of the night pacing or leaning on the door frame to the bedroom, watching his daughter, the rise and fall of her chest and the sound of her heart beating the only things keeping his despair at bay.
Then a striking blue butterfly, of the same species as the one that had been on Sarah's finger in the field flew into the room on a wind and landed softly on her forehead.
Something about its choice of a resting spot made Jaoel recall how sometimes butterflies were used as messengers by those who have passed on, and his breath hitched as he realized that Eva had died before the butterfly had settled onto their daughter's finger. That blue had been her favorite color.
"Eva?" he whispered. It couldn't be, could it? Was the butterfly a message to him?
It immediately flew off, back to the forest beyond the cottage, and Jaoel knew that was the answer to his question.
It gave him some solace.
She was still around, even if he, a fallen, couldn't see her.
x
It was almost mid morning and Sarah was still sound asleep when the door to the cottage quietly creaked open. A human would've missed it, but Jaoel didn't.
He dug out his blade from his coat and crept towards the main living space, every muscle in his body tensed in preparation for a fight.
He'd expected Jophiel or one of her closest allies to be waiting for him, but he found Thomas instead, standing by the fireplace.
"Thomas, what are you doing here?" he hissed. "How'd you find me?"
"I know you better than you may think," Thomas answered, the left side of his mouth quirking up slightly. "Luckily Jophiel has not cared to."
"You were supposed stay away," Jaoel told him, a flair of anger in his chest over his brother putting himself at risk for him. "You cannot be here long or you'll be cast out too."
Thomas approached him and lifted his right hand to squeeze his shoulder as he met his eyes. "I am staying. For far too long I have heeded their every order, sacrificed my morality in the name of their laws, for a father who has not let us see his face for centuries. I'm tired of cowering, brother. I am standing my ground. Your lover has been laid to rest, the animals rehomed, and you will not protect your daughter alone, no matter where we must go."
Jaoel felt tears stinging his eyes once more, and to his surprise Thomas' eyes were shining too.
"Thank you," he said, his words nearly getting caught in his throat.
There was no use arguing with Thomas once he'd firmly drawn a stick in the sand, so he accepted his help. It felt good too, the burden on his shoulders feeling slightly less heavy with his beloved brother pledging to be there.
He yanked Thomas into a spontaneous embrace and his brother flinched, caught off guard, but soon relaxed into it and patted his back.
"Daddy, who is he?"
Jaoel backed away from Thomas to turn to Sarah, who was standing just outside the door of the bedroom, staring at the younger angel curiously.
"Sarah, this is Thomas," Jaoel replied, glancing to him before meeting her eyes. "Your uncle."
x
For years Jaoel and Thomas traveled all over the world with Sarah, fearful that if they stopped moving their brethren would catch up. It kept her safe, but also built frustration up in her as she aged. She wanted to be with other children, to learn in the same environment as they did. She got tired of being so isolated, so cooped up. As much as she loved her father and uncle, they weren't enough. Safety was not enough.
She was just a teenager being a teenager when she crept out of the cabin they were staying in while they were both sleeping, having the intention of hanging out with a few other girls in the village for several hours.
She was just a teenager, fourteen years old, when she healed a serious head injury one of the girls acquired while they were flitting around the forest like nymphs of myth in the night.
It was an unfortunate matter of circumstance that an angel that hadn't even been searching for her sensed her power when she used it and found her before Jaoel and Thomas could.
They met her friends first, bawling and clinging to each other, hardly able to spit out enough intelligible words to let them know what had happened. They'd seen things their young human minds couldn't grasp and witnessed a girl their age being slain. They'd be haunted by it for the rest of their lives.
As soon as they got the location Jaoel was racing through the thick treeline to find his daughter, legs pumping as hard as they could, faster than any human's but still not fast enough because he was already too late. He knew that, but he was compelled forward anyway.
He found her on her back, innocent brown eyes open and empty, staring blankly up at nothing. Her shirt was caked with blood that was beginning to dry. There was a stab wound to her abdomen, one clearly made by an angel's blade.
Jaoel dropped to his knees and gathered her already cool body into his arms, holding her close, his head in the crook of her neck.
"No, no, come on, come on babygirl, wake up, wake up!"
He was rocking her body, in total devastation, when Thomas caught up. He fell to the ground at the heartbreaking sight before him, weeping alongside his brother.
They did not notice the ugly grey moth that fluttered down to sit on Joel's hunched back, by his right shoulder, a symbol of what he'd become.
x
Thomas was burying Sarah just outside the cabin but Jaoel could not bare to help. Instead he was sitting in a chair in the bedroom she'd been occupying just a few hours before, flipping his blade between his calloused fingers.
He paused to point it at his heart and tried to muster up the strength it would take to shove it in, knowing there would be prolonged pain if he did it wrong. But maybe that's what he deserved, subjecting Eva and then their daughter to the wrath of his family. It had been selfish. He should have stayed a distant observer. Saved Eva and moved on.
"Jaoel."
He flinched and his eyes darted up to see his brother standing in the doorway.
"Don't do it," he pleaded. "We can heal together. We can find a new home."
"I cannot go on without her, Thomas," Jaoel murmured, struggling to breathe as he spoke. "Go."
"You would leave me to fend for myself?" his brother asked.
Jaoel wanted to punch him for it. "You're nearly as old as I am; you can take care of yourself!"
Eyes downcast, Thomas nodded. "You are right. But I wish not to. I have already buried a niece tonight; do not make me bury you too."
Bastard.
Jaoel wanted nothing more than to end the unbearable weight that had fallen over him since he'd found Sarah's body, but the hand gripping the blade loosened its hold without his consent and it tumbled to the floor.
For as much as he was in pain, he could not leave his brother to mourn alone, to live alone. Not when he'd fallen because of him.
x
Joel Miller wakes up from the dream turned nightmare and swipes at the sticky tear track on his cheek.
When will it end? He wonders silently in the dark of his second story bedroom.
He can't help but think, far from the first time, that maybe he should've used the blade after all.

Bird of A Feather || Peaky Blinders x OCs
A short story for the wonderful @evita-shelby inspired by her moodboard gift Bird of A Feather.
Words: less than 1k
TW: Tommy and Heaven together (this is real warning for any HYE reader😂), allusions to drugs, overdose and sex. Ethical slur because of the show. Also this is not proof read, we die like men.
Notes: Reference to this chapter of HYE.
None of this was supposed to happen.
It was what Heaven thought when she watched her own reflection in the mirror of the ridiculously expensive suite's bathroom Mr. Shelby had booked for their stay in Boston. As she reflected on her new life, her slender fingers nervously tried to untangle the long gold and diamond earring chain Tommy had gifted her prior the trip. The vortex of her raging thoughts was so wild that she didn't hear the door opening, nor the husky and charming voice that called her name. Her body suddenly jerked when she felt one strong yet warm hand resting on her shoulder — She turned around in one vivid movement, the angelic complexions of her face only relaxing when they met with familiar turquoise eyes.
"Are you ready?" Tommy asked, one of his brow slightly arched as his piercing and ice-cold iris carefully observed the white-haired woman's features.
"Almost, but I can't seem to get rid out of this damn knot."
"Let me check." Three words again, said with the same collected tone whose deep and sultry voice sent shivers down her spine. Without wasting more saliva, Tommy brought his hands to the jewel and started to untangle it. "Don't you like it?" He broke the silence, "You always wear gold, but diamonds make a delightful echo to your crystal eyes." The thought of Tommy noticing such trivial details about her still felt odd considering how profound their mutual hatred had been for years. But Lizzie taking the kids had given them a little push.
"I do." She reassured, offering him a faint smile. They were so close that she could feel the heat radiating off him, as well as the elegant fragrances of his cologne tingling her nostrils.
"So why do you look so unhappy, ay?" He finally succeed in rearranging her earring, his calloused fingers gently grazing her reddened earlobe before finding rest on one of her cold cheeks. Tenderly. Lovingly.
"I'm just a bit anxious. I always hated big gatherings, let alone when the whole crowd is made of political figures, rich heirs and nobs." The way her lips pouted and her expression turned into a childish one as she pressed her face harder against his comforting palm snatched an amused snort from him, and yet… Tommy understood — her wild soul belonged to the forest and mountains no matter the expensive jewels and finest, seductive dresses. Heaven was not cut for this hypocritical world. The gangster leaned over her dainty frame and brought his face closer until their fiery breathe mixed and their nose touched.
“Think of them as your stupid little preys, just like you did in the forest. You might be on their territory but you are the predator here, and they should be the ones quivering with fear. Not you.” He pronounced this in intoxicating whispers that manage to lull her anxiety — or maybe it was because she was focusing on how his breath had quickened now that their mouths were so close. Batting her eyelashes, the white witch slowly nodded: they would be the real menace of the whole ballroom. Tommy drowned himself in the frost desert of her eyes for a bit, his thumb slightly pulling her fleshy lower lip down, “And if it is not enough, remember that I’ll stay by your side and keep you out of sorrow.” As he concluded, his placid face split in a wide and fierce grin that showcased his teeth. A genuine Tommy Shelby’s smile, scarcer than the rarest gem.
“And I’ll keep you out of it too.” She replied, mirroring his smile but with a more moderate one.
“That’s it, Devil.” He affectionately called the petite witch before his sweet liquored lips crashed against hers, the whisky taste blinding all her other senses and making the world outside fade to black. Her arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, surges of electricity cursing through her body as the infamous gangster deepened the embrace. Amidst the chaos they had left behind in Birmingham they stood, his free hand pressing on her lower back to pull her closer until his strong chest flattened her small breast and every of their curves fit snugly altogether. After all that separated them, Tommy had finally won: his brother’s beloved angel belonged to him and only him… Conquered and with her wings pinned, Heaven forgot how wrong it felt and gave in, her tongue shyly waltzing with her old enemy’s. With that wicked brother-in-law she wished to see dead not that long ago. When their mouth parted and Heaven tried to break the embrace to go back dolling herself up, Tommy grabbed her wrist firmly, pupils dilated with pride and lust.
“No. Kiss me again.” His husky voice ordered.
The whole party was probably the most boring one she had ever attended and to make her evening worst, Americans proved that their awful tastes also encompassed alcohol. Not the smallest bottle of red wine had been put on tables, only dry and bitter champagne they were proud to show off as if it was the pinnacle of the French culture. Heaven winced after the first sip and immediately put the glass back where she had taken it, hoping no one had notice her bad manners — she definitely wasn’t one of them, and navigating among the upper-class crowd was not as easy as Tommy made it look. Her mind started to form the words “Arthur would never…” but soon her heart tightened in her chest and she forced herself to chase away the thought of her beloved former husband. “Arthur is not here anymore.” Tommy’s voice echoed in her head. In truth, the lanky gangster had stopped being there the moment he relapsed in drug again, trading cocaine for opium. It had been too much and, loyal to her principles, Heaven left. Never ever she would have imagined that Arthur would be found months later in the Chinese quarters with a syringe in his arm, devoid of life. And while she was spitefully musing over and over again on these cursed memories, two vicious pair of eyes stared at her.
“She looks like she’s about to murder everyone here.” A bewitching feminine voice resounded, catching the attention of the tall American man standing next to her, “I like that.” Eva added, bringing the fine crystal of her glass to her blood-red lips to sip the fancy cocktail she had ordered. At her words, Jack’s mouth curled in a shark-like smile, the scar on his upper lip stretching as he did.
“And she’s hot.” He said, the couple giving each other a conspiratorial glance, “That’s what you were about to say, weren’t you, Goddess?” His manly hand discreetly slipped from her lower back to her ass, grabbing one of her cheeks firmly. Eva snort in reply, side-eying her cheeky husband before focusing her attention on the delicate but wild angel that was impatiently waiting for Tommy to come back from his smoke outside. Lost in her contemplation for a short while, the Mexican witch wondered how such a seraph-looking creature could wear a stare that cold. How could she radiate off something that… Unsettling? Anxiety-inducing? Threatening? She couldn’t even find the right word.
“Feeling sinful, Daddy?” The Mexican beauty, sublimed by an overtly expensive red dress, cooed with a sultry tone that would have turned the meanest man to a brainless drooling dog.
“With you? Always, Goddess.” He winked at her before leaning for a kiss on her temple but a few seconds later the two future presidential couple saw their new associate coming back to the ballroom and heading straight to the lonely white-haired brat, “So you were right, she’s Thomas Shelby’s sweetheart. The Gypsie bastard got himself a fucking pretty pussy.”
“A witch.” Eva corrected, her tone stricter as she pronounced the word, “And he’s rather handsome too. Both are highly fuckable.” She mused, her dark eyes never leaving the newlyweds.
“Well, let me introduce you to them then! After all, we’re in business together now.” Jack suggested, burying his nose in his wife’s long dark hair to relish on her enchanting perfume. Fuck — if they weren’t that busy he would have ruined her cunt in another room right now.
“Excellent idea, Jack. Introduce me to them.” Eva emphasizes on the word, finally looking at the tall American with the flames of sin dancing in her evil eyes. It was all it took for Jack to understand his wife’s intentions… And they were in total harmony with his. “I hope we could officialize our partnership with them in a more intimate and fun way than just a handshake.” As possessive as they were together — as possessive as the English and French mirror facing them — Eva foresaw their agreement about her perverse suggestion, but the truth was there was no need to be a clairvoyant witch for guessing right.
The four of them were all sinners.

Me making an au based on the Bible and Adam and Eve? It's more common than you think🤷
I decided to make this self-indulgent au called "graves of eden" based on stories like those of adam and eve and the aus of @evilmenshoe80 and third wife au of @yurnu
Now on to the lore of this au!
After what happened with Adam and Eve, heaven was about to completely abandon the "Eden project", however there was a faction that wanted to give the project of having humans in heaven a second chance and this faction ended up gaining the favor of the elders. , so they began to experiment with creating humans.
Andrew was first created using dust, dirt, red flowers and ashes, he would be the new and "improved" Adam for the project, his duty would be to choose a wife with which to create the divine and unstained version of humanity.
Ashley was created shortly after, they used the same powder they used to create Andrew and added pink poppies and red flowers, she was not created as a partner for Andrew (there is no incest here, gentlemen, only toxicity between sibilings) but as someone who would love him. keep him company so they will create a wife for him, if Ashley behaved well they will create a husband for him.
Julia was created using clay and yellow flowers, she would be a wife option for Andrew (and for the angels she is the best option since she is more wifey material) and possible new mother of humanity, she tries to keep peace between everyone the inhabitants of the garden and hopes to be chosen to be the new Eve, more for the aspect of being loved than for the title.
Nina is the last woman to be created, using clay and leaves, she is the second candidate to be Andrew's wife, she is the most inexperienced as she is recent so she receives a lot of attention from Andrew (much to Ashley's displeasure and worries of Julia).
Xabier would be created years after several unfortunate events related to Nina's death, he would be Julia's new husband and the new father of humanity.
This au would include 3 ships, being ashlia(ashley x julia), andrelia(andrew x julia) and xablia(xabier x julia), with xablia being the endgame.

a gift?
spring. the season she bought something just for her.
on the day following her return from a mission, riri discovers eva in a state of solitude beneath a blossoming sakura tree.
however, the winter pillar seems to have been searching for the glacier pillar. why is that?
an akari fuyutsuki x eva himeko oneshot.
// eva himeko rightfully belongs to my beloved, @muitsuri!
spring, when the world bursts forth with life.
spring, where a symphony of delicate miracles unfolds.
spring, a season when verdant tendrils awaken from their slumber, where the gentle touch of the sun's caress breathes vitality into every corner of the earth.
amidst this exquisite tapestry of rejuvenation, beneath the boughs of a resplendent sakura tree, a lovely lady found herself caught in a momentary enchantment.
her graceful figure, adorned in hues of soft pastels, became the focal point of a whimsical dance. with closed eyes, her lashes fluttered like the wings of dainty butterflies, lending an air of ethereal serenity to her gorgeous countenance.
the fragrance of blooming flowers enveloped her, infusing the air with a sweet intoxication that stirred her senses.
the sakura petals swirled around her with a grace befitting a ballet, encircling her form in a delicate waltz. each petal, kissed by the gentle breeze, pirouetted and twirled in harmonious synchrony, their ephemeral beauty mirroring the ephemeral nature of this captivating season.
the cherry tree stood tall and proud, its branches reaching towards the heavens as if yearning to touch the cerulean canvas above. and beneath its protective canopy, the glacier hashira found peace, a sanctuary where her thoughts could wander amidst the petals' tender embrace.
her delicate lids fluttered open, anticipation filling her being.
yet, instead of being greeted by the expected rosy vista, her irises were met with a mesmerizing azure expanse that halted her tranquility in its tracks.
the chestnut-tressed maiden could practically hear her heart cease its rhythmic dance, only to resume with a frantic tempo as she realized that those majestic blue irises belonged to none other than the winter pillar. the hashira, with a mere tilt of her head, seemed unperturbed by their proximity, as if she had initiated this encounter herself—which was most likely.
silence enveloped the pair, stretching into an eternity, as they locked gazes, delving deep into the depths of each other's souls. the weight of unspoken words hung heavy in the air, a testament to the profound connection that existed between them. and then, like a soothing melody, a familiar voice, flat yet mellow, graced the ears of the flustered maiden.
"and here I thought you wouldn’t be waking up anytime soon.”
as the pillar’s words lingered in the air, akari finally leaned back, causing a tumultuous storm of emotions to surge within the latter’s heart—a mix of both fortune and dismay.
though the azure-eyed maiden's words may have carried a hint of sarcasm, eva understood that they held a genuine sentiment, devoid of mockery, but rather a straightforward observation.
"i wasn’t actually asleep, you know..."
the glacier pillar felt a surge of gratitude as her words flowed forth without a single stutter. however, her tone remained meek, leaving her uncertain if they were even heard, or if they simply dissolved into the ether.
naturally, the latter heard her—akari unconsciously exerted more effort whenever it involved eva, after all.
however, to her surprise, akari; though renowned for her analytical disposition, found herself unexpectedly taken aback, her eyebrows arching being the sole giveaway to her genuine astonishment.
"you weren't?"
a hint of perplexity laced the winter pillar’s voice as she raised a hand to her chin, her head tilting slightly as she hummed in thoughtful contemplation. "strange. everything about you seemed to suggest otherwise, but i suppose i was mistaken."
“eh?"
eva, in turn, tilted her head slightly, her expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. did it have something to do with her appearance? had something changed? or perhaps it was due to the winter pillar’s unique perception of auras? so many questions stirred within her, yet remained unspoken—
"if you appeared so serene with only your eyes closed," akari continued, her words laced with a touch of intrigue. "i can only imagine how much more captivating it would be when you are truly asleep."
oh…
was that meant to be a compliment? the heat of embarrassment crept up eva’s pretty face, coloring it with a rosy hue.
normally, she would be quite talkative around the winter pillar, but in this moment, she found herself rendered speechless. her mouth parted slightly, but the words she longed to utter seemed to elude her, trapped in the depths of her being.
as the hashira settled into a more relaxed position, abandoning her previous crouch in front of eva, the glacier pillar struggled to regain her composure. the contrast between her disheveled state and the seemingly unfazed composure of the lady before her was evidently striking.
yet, as if fate had finally decided to show her mercy, eva’s eyes caught a glimmer of light reflecting off what appeared to be a snowflake-shaped object in the winter pilar’s free hand. upon closer examination, it became clear that it was a hairpin.
an idea sparked in the sable-head’s mind, causing her to perk up. "how beautiful! do you need help with that? i can assist you in putting it in your hair—“
"what? no."
the cobalt-head’s sudden interruption caused the radiant smile on eva’s face to freeze. a wave of uncertainty washed over her, as if she had committed a grave mistake. akari’s deadpan expression translated into a look of incredulity through eva’s eyes, igniting a spark of panic within her.
"sorry, that must’ve been weird of me to ask..”
"what?..no it isn’t. i only declined because this hairpin isn't for me."
the glacier pillar paused, finding herself confused for the second time within such a short span. if not for herself, then for whom?
was akari planning to give it to someone else?
the thought sent a pang of pain through eva’s heart, and her feeble attempts to conceal her expression of sorrow proved to be futile.
yet, in the fleeting instant that ensued, akari’s next words swiftly dissipated all of her concerns, replacing them with a comforting sensation that enveloped her like a cozy embrace, leaving her head swirling with warmth and delight.
"i saw this earlier and...” lost in wonder, she absentmindedly, yet carefully toyed with the object, her voice trailing off. extending it towards the bewildered maiden in front of her, she resumed, "it’s for you. i saw it earlier, and thought of you."
in response, eva’s stunning eyes widened. "m-me?" she stammered, a mix of disbelief and bashfulness evident in her voice, along with a profound sense of gratitude.
trembling slightly, eva reached out, her fingertips gently brushing against the hairpin, treating it as if it were an exquisitely delicate treasure. "this is for...me?" she repeated, as if struggling to grasp the reality of the situation.
akari simply nodded. in contrast, her features still withheld any hint of her internal musings. "yes, for you."
"just for you."
at the lack of typically verbal responses, her head tilted slightly as she arched a brow, "is it not to your liking?—“
"that’s not it!!"
the glacier pillar swiftly interjected, shaking her head vigorously, causing the winter pillar to worry that she might become dizzy.
“huh?..”
“the contrary, actually..” releasing a heartfelt sigh, eva shifted her gaze, tenderly looking at the gift she had just received, a loving smile gracing her lips. "i like it, a lot.” she confessed.
she turned her gaze back to akari, her smile softening even further. "i love it, actually.” she whispered.
her eyes fluttered shut, forming a closed-eyed smile that gradually transformed into a cheerful grin as her head swayed slightly to the right, reminiscent of a joyful dance.
as the diaphanous breeze danced through the air, its celestial touch gracefully tousled eva’s lustrous locks as the sun joined in this symphony of beauty, casting its golden rays upon her countenance, illuminating her features with a resplendent radiance. her smile, a beacon of joy, radiated a warmth that had akari mesmerized, rendering her unable to divert her gaze from the majestic sight before her.
"you really are pretty.”
in response, a rosy blush bloomed across eva’s cheeks, the flush of warmth coloring her delicate visage.
she lowered her gaze, her fingers tenderly tracing the contours of the precious object she held—a reflection of the tender emotions that stirred within her. the subtle intensity of her feelings ignited a longing within her soul, a yearning for more moments such as these.
a gentle sigh escaped the hashira’s lips, a melody of mingled pleasure and vulnerability. "you.." she murmured, her words laced with a hint of playful defiance, "you should really stop with those out-of-nowhere compliments." she pouted, her eyes gracefully closing as she sought refuge in the solace of darkness, a brief respite to regain her composure. though she cherished the accolades bestowed upon her, a lingering fear whispered in her thoughts, warning of the perilous bewitch of such sweet words.
it just might be the cause of her death someday. the extravagancy of the thought nagged at the glacier pillar’s mind, causing her to let out a modest chuckle that merely fueled the winter pillar’s confusion.
wasn’t she simply stating the truth? that was the only fact reverberating in akari’s mind as she attentively absorbed eva’s words. however, the winter pillar quickly brushed aside her perplexity as her ears were blessed with the sound of the glacier pillar's laughter.
how melodic it was...
as eva’s honeyed giggles continued to reverberate in the depths of akari’s mind, the heavenly maiden within her imagination had already fixated the exquisite ornament to her hair.
however, just as she was about to delicately secure the hairpin in place, a familiar gloved hand benignly interposed, halting her graceful movement.
with utmost grace, akari relinquished the delicate treasure from her grasp and gracefully descended onto her knees, a dancer's poise enshrining her every motion. she meticulously shuffled closer to eva, her eyes gleaming with an unspoken intention, as if she were an artist composing a masterpiece.
slowly, yet deliberately, akari positioned the hairpin on the right side of eva’s lustrous tresses, forsaking the left with a careful precision. every movement was executed with a refined elegance, as if she were an artisan sculpting an ephemeral masterpiece.
"that’s better…" she murmured, her voice a gentle caress, her breath mingling with the air as she tenderly brushed a stray strand away from eva’s enchanting visage.
as the lovestruck maiden’s irises quivered with an indescribable feeling, her heart pounded with the intensity of a symphony, as if it were an instrument played by the divine.
her lips, delicately pursed, mirrored the graceful curvature of akari’s own, forming a sublime duet of emotion and desire.
the winter pillar’s smile, faint yet resplendent, held an air of perfection in eva’s eyes—a fleeting moment of flawlessness that seemed to transcend the boundaries of mortal existence.
"i would prefer if this hairpin didn’t get in the way of that streak of your hair." akari uttered, her words an enchanting incantation that held both longing and reverence. the subtle plea in her voice carried an unspoken desire to preserve the natural beauty that adorned eva’s being, to honor the ethereal essence that danced with every strand.
in that sublime instant, bathed in the sun's golden rays that transformed the sakuranbo into a canvas of warmth and luminosity, they found themselves enveloped in an otherworldly realm.
there, the boundaries between dreams and reality blurred, and a humble object possessed the extraordinary ability to ignite a love that surpassed the confines of time and space.
—spring, where and when i fell even more for you.

Kinda a Good Omens Adam x Eve AU
They both lived their human lives together until they died, and Adam went to Heaven while Eve to Hell.
Eva sells her soul to Lilith in exchange for protection, becoming her servant.
The angels really don't know what to do with Adam, since by fulfilling his role on Earth he doesn't have any other purpose, so they just keep him around for entertainment.
After several conflicts between Heaven and Hell, both sides begin to prepare for war and decided that the best way to win is to have as many human souls as possible. And who better than the father and mother of humanity to get the souls for them?
So both Adam and Eve are sent to earth by their respective bosses to tempt/guide their descendants, but they obviously are reunited after a few months on earth.
They decide to keep their relationship a secret and try to help each other as much as they can while enjoying their immortal life on earth.
They both have an emotional conflict because Adam is loyal to heaven and still hates Lilith and Lucifer for how they ruined humanity and blames them for separating him from Eve.
Eva hates how much Heaven hurts her husband and descendants in the name of the greater good.
their children pop from time to time to celebrate mother's and father's day.
Charlie is the antichrist.
There is no baby swap so Adam and Eve kinda raise Charlie.
