16: Are there any ocs in this fic?

Megaverse: One very significant one, plus (later on) a few Kid Characters. But the major one is one who serves as the explanation for where Ashley is in the year and a half between her teleporting and Neal finding her. :D

Heatherverse: Not really, no, aside from Kid Characters. There are just so many characters that would be hard to manage.

#2, 3, 7, and 10 for Time Wars for the AU ask game, please!

2: Summarize this au in 5 sentences.

In a world where Timeless, Haven, Sanctuary, and Grimm all take place in the same universe, lives are about to collide. When Rittenhouse, the evil power-hungry organization hidden in the shadows, splits into two groups, they both choose the same strategy to bring each other down: the impossible. One side aligns with the Troubled of Haven, people with powers they don't want and can't get rid of. The other chooses Wesen: shapeshifters, hidden in plain sight, fearsome and deadly. As a group group heroes come together to stop both sides, all eyes are on Helen Magnus, and her Sanctuary of Abnormal creatures; how long can she stay out of this war?

3: Did anything inspire this au?

This AU is actually the latest form of a couple of crossover aus I've had in the past: The Heatherverse and the Megaverse. Basically, I just wanted an excuse to combine all of my favorite shows.

10: Is there a character you wish you could've included, but couldn't? Why?

One of my favorite dynamics in the Megaverse was Helen Magnus and Neal Caffrey. Neal is from White Collar, and I really didn't have the desire to bring that world into the Time Wars, so my options were to keep just Neal and not give his world its fair share of the plot (which would be Unfun for someone who decided to read it knowing mainly WC), or yeet him.

So he has been yote, but with great sadness.

8: What platonic relationships are important in this au?

Neal Caffrey and Helen Magnus is a huge one that started in Heatherverse and lasted through Megaverse.

Helen and Heather is also a huge one. Girl who lost her mom and woman who lost her daughter, familied.

Trubel and Josh also traveled with Heather and Kyle, so there were a lot of friendships there.

Also, Ashley's dynamics with Peter and Elizabeth, where they cared for her when she remembered nothing and they became her family...

Also also, John's friendship with Peter and El, before Peter passed away.

20: Share THREE headcanons! But about different characters.

Kate: Had feelings for Duke but it never went anywhere in this AU

Helen: Neal reminds her of herself in a lot of ways, and she's more proud of him than she knows how to say.

Elizabeth: Sometimes wakes up and for a few seconds, she doesn't remember how strange her life has become. She doesn't remember that people with impossible powers exist. And while she wouldn't trade the family that comes with it for the world... Sometimes she doesn't want to remember that the impossible exists.

22: What was the hardest to write about this fic?

I mean, the big thing-the reason it was never actually written properly-was just the sheer size of this universe. The number of fandoms was just unmanageable. Off the top of my head, Timeless, White Collar, Haven, Grimm, Beauty and the Beast 2012, Gravity Falls, the Monsterverse (Godzilla, Kong, etc.), Manifest... And I know there were more.

What is something you kept the same?

Henry and Jordan's love story has stayed (almost) completely the same from Heatherverse through Megaverse and into Time Wars. I've tweaked some details, but the majority of that storyline is the same.

What was the hardest to write about this fic?

I still haven't written it, and part of the reason/difficulty is just how truly massive it is. Even though it's condensed a lot more than, say, Heatherverse, and focused a lot more than even Megaverse, there are still a lot of plot lines and character arcs to balance, and it's a little overwhelming.

Is there a character you wish you could've included, but couldn't? Why?

Actually, I don't think so, aside from Neal, who I've already talked about a bit. I guess, as an extension of that, Peter and Elizabeth Burke? I love the element in both Megaverse and Heatherverse of this normal human couple who ends up with a frightened teleporter in their living room and are like "... Huh. I guess she's our daughter now."

And then they find out that this frightened girl is actually part of a whole other world happening under their noses, and that in that world there are a lot of lonely, frightened people, and their reaction is basically, "... We're going to need a bigger dinner table."

They bring an element of normalcy to the story that I really really wish I could have kept, but again, I really didn't want to incorporate/balance the world and storyline of White Collar.

“I’m not going to ask again. This is your last chance. Do you want pancakes or waffles?”

Rufus blinks, clearly only half-registering her question. “Yeah, sure, thanks,” he mutters, not looking up from his computer screen. 

She sighs, setting the mixes aside and settling in beside him. “Talk to me.”

This time, he does look at her, more than a little sheepish. “Sorry. I just... It’s been a weird few days, you know? I mean, time travel’s one thing, but I was finally used to that, and now....” 

Teleporting girls. Dimension-hoppers. Angry garden gnomes. Shapeshifters. Magic, possibly, although Dr. Magnus and Rosalee never could agree on whether it was that or science. 

It’s enough to give anyone a headache. 

“I know.” She wraps her arms around him, and he leans against her, clearly worn. “But you’re still you, I’m still me, and we’re okay. So... Pancakes or waffles?” 

Because with them, there was always going to be one more chance.

Kate and Neal: I can't believe you. ✟☕

“I can’t believe you.” Kate shakes her head, gaze darting to the door warily. It’s hilarious, yes, but she wants to be well out of the way when he gets caught.

Neal shrugs, carefree as could be, as if he hasn’t just pranked two of the most terrifying women Kate has ever met. “Admit it; you wish you’d thought of it.” 

And, yeah, maybe, but on the other hand, Helen and Ashley Magnus are not the type of people Kate likes to cross, no matter how funny-

“Neal!” Ashley’s voice echoes through the hallways, and Neal finally has the sense to look just a bit nervous. 

“I admit,” Kate says slowly, looking him over, “That I’m really, really glad I had nothing to do with this.”

Ashley/Neal + "You got me a cake?"

“You got me cake?” She frowned at the colorful dessert like it was some sort of puzzle. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan, but...This is a birthday cake.”

He shrugged, handing her a fork with such gusto, one would think it was made of gold. “Since you don’t know who you are, you don’t know when your birthday is, and I figured today was as good a day as any.” 

It was ridiculously silly, but for a moment, she actually thought she might cry. Swallowing the emotions with an ease that was starting to scare her, she grinned. “Plus, let me guess: you want me to share?”

All charm and showman, he winked. “Well, sharing is caring, right?”
