10 Heartstopper Season 2 Things I Am Excited About

(comic spoilers ahead)

10. Truth or Dare.

The drama, the angst, the drama. The possible major turn of events. My theory is this scene will be very different from the comic, especially with Ben being confirmed on the trip.

9. The teachers.

Need I say more? As someone who didn’t have something like Heartstopper as a teenager, it’s good to see adult characters have similar experiences.

8. Nick and/or Charlie taking naps together.

It’s just so cute, like come on.

7. Tao loosing his mind over Elle.

Tao being all nervous around Elle at the realization he has feelings is so cute. I also love that he completely simps for her HARD. He thinks she’s the most amazing person ever, he’s her biggest fan, and she is his.

6. The angst of them trying to tell each other they love each other.

5. Charlie and Nellie moments.

Someone get this man a photo album.

4. Nick’s rugby coach coming out to him.

She slay.

3. Nick reuniting with his friends.

One of my favorite aspects of Heartstopper, is it’s emphasis on the importance of having a diverse range of relationships. Romantic and platonic relationships are so important. Expecting everything you need emotionally, physically, and mentally to come from one person isn’t possible or fair. Strengthening different relationships not only strengthens individuals, but also other relationships.

I would have put this one higher, but it may be more focused on in later season(s).

2. Nick and Tao’s growing friendship.

I love the relationship between Tao and Nick, and am excited for it to grow in season 2. Tao cares so much about his friends, and I know will start to realize how kind and genuine Nick is, while still holding his pride about being wrong.

1. Tara and Darcy’s story being more prominent.

Even though Tara and Darcy are side characters, their relationship is still one of the most known sapphic relationships on tv. To see them get more of a story this season is extremely exciting. I think their relationship struggles this season will be one extremely relatable to a lot of queer people, and I’m glad to be able to see them overcome it, and remain happy as queer couples deserve to be.

they're literally the only couple that matters in that show I'm serious. when my friend and I watched season 2 together we're like "they don't have anybody fooled this is the elle and tao show" they're literally everything. mwah.

the jokes him and his mum make, him talking about how it’s affecting him after years, the struggle when he tells nick ‘not to be weird about it’

like yes!! my family make jokes cos what else are you supposed to do to get through the day?? and that’s always been something weird that people judge me for but there it was!! right there on screen!! and the awkwardness after you tell someone and they don’t know what to do and neither do you really!!

i don’t know, it was just so similar to my experience in a way i’ve never seen before and it makes me cry every time but also in a way feels very healing

If people who only watched Netlfix series think Heartstopper s2 was heart wrecking, then Idk what they're gonna do when s3 comes out cos oh boy, I have a suprise for you... it'll get worse (especially for Charlie... this isn't a spoiler it was alluded to already in the show... you can't expect mental disorders to magically wish away - I love how realistic this show is agzhatvauavysvsyah)

It's not like it was in any way heartbreaking... actually, it was so way sweeter that books (big applause for Kit and Joe's friendship or all friendship between actors because you just could tell they are enjoying themselves soo soo much especially during Paris trip??? Like they played so genuinely it felt so real and this is what you want your acting to be like aaaa) and I am so glad we got dinner scene so early it wrapped up coming out for Nick nicely.

Either way season 2 was everything I hoped to be and more aww. I love that Isaac is aroace. Paris squad is basically the whole fucking LGTBQ rainbow. Also Imogen maybe becoming bi??? I loved her cute Barbie pink outfit in Paris trip she slayed. Omg yess to all only show characters cos I love them. The only thing I could complain about is having more Ben there. I thought we were done with him bit Ig they needed to finally close that chapter when Charlie said what he needed to during prom to him (which btw go my boi) Please please get him away from my squad I was soo sick of him in s1 and somehow it'll got worse in second one.

Either way I don't feel emotionally broken actually I felt and still feel really refreshed (despite having cliffhanger) and it definitely did not leave me dying like I was dying over GO S2. Or after finishing book TFTDATE. So that's that
