CALLING ALL MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL ARTISTS! Tree Of Life - Or L'Simcha Congregation is looking to replace the dirty blue tarps on the fence around the synagogue building, which has been sitting empty since the deadly attack last October. 

I haven’t talked about this at all on Tumblr, but Tree of Life is my family’s synagogue, going back three generations. The building itself is around the corner from where my parents still live, it’s across the street from the bus stop I stood at for four years before school each morning. It’s where my brother had his bar mitzvah and where my parents got married. 

The synagogue community is looking for uplifting, positive artwork done by young people that can be printed onto a windscreen to go around the building, instead of the ugly tarps. The building will be sitting empty and unusable for a while longer — it would be wonderful to see some love and light return to the space.
