@dinnerandasuit
Dinner and a Suit is playing Saturday at the North Star Bar! They are originally from Philly and back in town for one night only, so get there.
Here's their bio, I found it here but I'm not sure where it originated from:
Dinner and a Suit is a young band whose explosive and energetic stage performance coupled with their solid lyrical and melodic hooks give them their signature sound and separate them from other bands within the alternative pop/rock genre. It's a fresh and exciting sound with unique structure and brilliance that is unheard of at such a young age. Emerging from the Philly/South Jersey area(Now relocated to Nashville, TN), the band finds inspiration from artists such as Coldplay, Sleeping at Last, Mark Kozeleck, and Sigur Ros. Dinner and a Suit released their first album "Light and Lungs" in January 2008, and has since, hit the road, gathered local attention and fans, with no end in sight.

Hey guys,
I just posted a video tour of our new website www.hearthescene.com. All the DJ listings that we used to post here will be posted there as well as Live Music listings. It's a pretty smooth interface with a calendar, sharing options and searchable listings. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I know Hear The Scene is a Philly site, but this is pretty interesting:  Radiohead is rumored to be playing at the Occupy Wall Street protest today in NYC.  The Occupy Wall Street folks say the show is happening but the management for Radiohead deny it. I suppose that means it's most likely not going to happen, but it's a sweet rumor. :)

Anberlin is playing at the Trocadero Theatre on Mon. Sept. 26th!
Check out Anberlin and more Philly shows at www.hearthescene.com
Anberlin is an American rock band formed in Winter Haven, Florida in 2002. Since the beginning of 2007, the band has consisted of lead vocalist Stephen Christian, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Christian McAlhaney, bassist Deon Rexroat, and drummer Nathan Young.
Members of Anberlin originally formed a band under the name SaGoh 24/7 in 1998, releasing two studio albums before disbanding, with the members having a change in musical direction and name. Anberlin was formed in 2002; within a year of forming, they had signed with semi-independent record label Tooth & Nail Records and released their debut album, Blueprints for the Black Market. In 2005, the band released their second album, Never Take Friendship Personal, selling in excess of 150,000 copies.[1] The band continued its rise to prominence while enjoying a loyal MySpace following and averaging well over 200 live shows per year.[2] The band's third album, Cities, was released in 2007, and became their first album to reach the top 20 of the Billboard 200, selling 34,000 copies in its debut week.[3]
After three studio albums and five years with Tooth & Nail Records, Anberlin announced their signing with major label Universal Republic in August 2007.[4] The band's first album on the major label was released in 2008, titled New Surrender. The album peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200,[5] with the first single, "Feel Good Drag", claiming number one on the Alternative Songs chart, after 29 weeks in the chart.[6] Prior to the release of their fifth studio album, Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place, Anberlin has sold over 700,000 albums.[7]

Radiohead Performing their new album King of Limbs Live in Studio
Woooo, this jawn is NICE! I love the way they use the 3 drummers on certain tracks, they blend together really well and don't step on each other either. I've only watched 5 minutes so far, but I was so pumped I wanted to share it. It's so great to see how they actually produce all those nastEy Radiohead sounds. So far the grooves have been outstanding. I will definitely have to see this tour when they come to Philly.
P.S. The caption says that it will only be on YouTube for a limited time, so start downloading that thing and putting it up all over the place. :-p

Individual Event Pages Added to HTS
Hello again,
We've added individual event pages to www.hearthescene.com. Now you can share an event via twitter (or facebook coming soon :-p). I have to do some junk with the .htcaccess file on my server to make the URLs a little more SEO friendly and human readable, but the hard work is finished. The next step in the plan is to add a search tool to the site after which I will most likely turn my attention towards enhancing the user experience and the over all graphic design/look and feel of Hear The Scene.
As always, contact me with any suggestions, comments or if you have an event you want listed.

Artist Pages and a New Look
We added another feature to www.hearthescene.com, artist pages. Now you can click on an artist and goto a dedicated page which shows their upcoming events and various contact options (website, facebook, twitter, etc.). We have been focusing more on adding functionality than filling out the event calendar, recently. But once we are focused, full-time on inputing events and other information this will be a great way to keep track and share artists you like. Next on tap we will create individual event pages so you can share them with your friends on facebook and twitter. We also changed the look of the website with a new background texture. It really lightened everything up and I really like it. Drop me a line and let me know what you think and if you have any other suggestions.
