well here is how my day went! it was really bad 

so first i had orgo lab. i overslept by like 15 min and i took too long in the shower so i was gonna be late but my mom was free so i asked her to drive me that way i wouldnt have to waste time on parking and walking to the building so i was able to get to class on time. first the prof had even more youtube videos on NMR which took like 30 min and it was sooooo boring i could not keep my eyes open and then when i was about to fall asleep i would snap out of it and open my eyes to see the prof looking right at me rip

so then we went and did the actual lab and it was SO bad. like really bad. it was a new experiment and it was really obvious bc the expectations they had for this lab were way too high. first of all they only gave us enough reagents so we would have just enough for everyone but apparently people dont know how to measure out certain quantities of the reagents bc 2 of them ran out after only like half the class got to use them

then there was the actual experiment. it took soooo long and it was so busy bc last semester my lab had 8 students but now im in a full class so its just a lot going on. and after mixing all the stuff and setting the apparatus up we literally had to just stand there and wait for one hour while the thing stirred itself. then we had to let it precipitate out but like no one was getting any crystals and everyone was just frustrated plus the prof thought we already knew what a reflux setup was so he didnt explain it to us but we didnt know what a reflux setup was

so this lab was from 1pm to 6pm but i was hoping to get out early since everyone always says orgo 2 labs finish in a few hours but unfortunately it was just not one of those days. at like 5pm the prof was like “...well we were like the guinea pigs for this new experiment and....we got slaughtered. so everyone just say that you got 1.5 g of product for the purpose of your calculations” so he let the whole class just fake their results...iconic my old prof would have made us do it over and over so i was glad he just let us fake it and i ended up getting out at like 5:33. but also everything was made even worse bc my nose was running the whole time

the lab sucked BUT i did talk to sophia a lot bc as i mentioned it was a v confusing lab and it had a lot of down time so we asked each other a lot of questions and had small conversations and it was nice! and then this other girl whos lab station is next to mine that i asked like one question after sophia left was talking to me when we were handing in our labs at the end and she introduced herself to me so that was nice! i also talked to s*brina briefly also she has a friend in the class and he looks just like ricky roman lol hes cute

jackie and noor (who were in my orgo lab last semester) are also in the class and we were all waiting on a reagent and they were talking about our old prof and how noor had to fight her bc she gave her a bad grade and they told each other what they got in the class while i was just standing there listening and...i got higher than both of them! so that was nice bc the prof hated me so when i got an a- i thought “oh well if she gave me of all people an a- then she must have given everyone a good grade” but i guess not! so that made me kinda happy but she did hate jackie so im not surprised about her. i was surprised about noors grade though bc she always liked noor

also the really hot guy that ive talked about before (like the literally perfect one) was in class today since he wasnt here last week and he was talking to the prof and i heard his voice for the first time and omg.......his voice is SOOOOOO cute it pisses me off like hes literally perfect in every way like he cant let the rest of us just have one thing!! 

so yeah that was it for orgo lab and i was counting on getting out early bc gsa was at 5pm so i was 30 min late and i was so mad!!! it was the first meeting and there was an introductory powerpoint and one of the slides had pics of all 5 eboard members on it and i wanted to see it on the projector but i missed it! i was only there for like the last 15 min of the meeting rip

then orgo lecture....oh i got REALLY mad. so i got to class w like 5 min to spare bc i tried to stay at gsa for as long as possible and i got there right after maia and i saw maia sit in my seat...because this random guy stole her seat so she had to move one seat to the right. now i wasnt mad at maia bc her seat got stolen too but i looked at the guy and...........it was the SAME guy who stole my seat on the second day of gen chem 2!!!!!!!! this FREAK stole my seat not once but TWICE  and i HATE him i cannot believe he did it AGAIN one year later

so then i went and sat down in the second row and there was a seat next to noor so i sat there and talked to her so that was nice! there was a silver lining i guess bc although my seat was stolen i got to have a conversation with an acquaintance 

so yeah that was it and now im home and its 1am and i have a paper due tm for psych that i only have one sentence for so i guess i need to do that
