Advanced Pastoral Counselor Development Training Course

                "Advanced Pastoral Counselor Development Training" 

                                          Beginning in September

     This professional faith-based course was developed by Yvonne Martinez, Director of Transformation Center, Bethel Church, Redding, Ca. where she helps oversee 30 counselors and program development. She is the founder/director of CARE-EDU.com.  Yvonne has 30 years experience in Pastoral Counseling and ministry services including addiction recovery program, crisis management, trauma resolution, and drug/alcohol counseling. She has also developed program content for their city's social services, and authored a couple of books. Find out more about her at her website.

     The Curriculum includes 10 books and a CD that will help you who are already counseling/helping people to hone your skills, and prepare you for lay counseling at your church.

     The Modules include: The ministry of reconciliation; Leadership Boundaries; Communication Techniques; Counseling Skills; Resolution/Closure; Marriage, Family, Groups; Ethics, Crisis Intervention and more. It includes prayer models for unforgiveness, orphan spirit, freedom etc. It allows for many different counseling and inner healing techniques that you may already be using.

     The course will be facilitated by Cindy King who has her own health and restoration/counseling  practice in Bend, Or. This is a 12 week course which will meet weekly with 1 hour of lecture, 1 hour of discussion and role playing. Each week will include homework that requires reading one of the 10 books.

At the end of this course you will be able to apply for certification by Yvonne.

                    Cost for the curriculum is $450 plus $50 for the class.

     We, the church must position ourselves to help those in need, whether in our fellowship or in the community. It is important to prepare well those of us who are called to this ministry. Yvonne's course is a nice balance of Christian compassion and well known counseling advice.

     I am looking for 10-12 people from our community to join me in. This last winter we had 11 students but there was only one male. We would love to activate more men counselors in our body!                        

No experience nor credentials necessary!
