Uttarakhand has two local regions Kumaun and Garhwal, both regions have their own local language, however, languages are a little bit similar, so being a Kumauni I was able to connect them easily, we feel good when we talk to someone with our local language, it's a different kind of pleasure. When we touched the base camp of Nag Tibba it was almost lunchtime and I requested Amma(old lady in local language) to feed something pahadi or organic local meal, I think whenever we go to such places we shouldn't expect a variety of meals, also, should avoid junk food, we should try to eat organic meal to stay healthy for trek however Amma was ready to serve paneer which was entirely surprising for me, how we can expect paneer on such places?😃 We were deeply involved with the talks and stories with Amma and forget to ask for spoons and started eating with our fingers, it made our food more flavorful, entirely enjoyed the meal and the moments.
