okay @merryandmalcolmbright asked me to talk more about a Prodigal Son Deception crossover...and here we are 😳

Ok but first off, Edrisa and Jordan would really hit it off! They nerd out about everything and are constantly joking with each other, and oh Edrisa crushes on basically the whole deception team! She's just constantly flirting with Dina (tbh who wouldn't? She's an actual goddess)

Mike loves telling stories about his kids and in return Gil shares some crazy stories about a conveniently unnamed kid (they all know it's about Malcolm)

Dani and Kay quickly bond over their disaster consultants, and Kay also bonds with Malcolm about all that fbi jazz (but at first Malcolm was hesitant about her and wasn't sure she would like him at all, after all the FBI did fire him) but was happy to find out that Kay is super supportive and awesome!

Gunther and Jessica going out for drinks? More likely than you think! Seriously though, Jessica of course has to vet all of Malcolm's new friends, and makes the most unlikely friend herself, at first she is appalled at the idea of hanging out with the 'uncultured' Gunther, but soon they become great drinking buddies (maybe not that great for their health…)

Malcolm does everything he can to get Johnny back and once he is back Johnny struggles a lot about his recent bad choices and faces himself and drowns in the fact that he no longer thinks he's worthy or even good, and of course Malcolm sweeps in because he knows better than anyone how it feels to doubt yourself and your morals, and they really just connect and help each other,,,

overall Cam Johnny and Malcolm connecting over their messed up childhoods and learning and healingl together

The station isn't too welcoming to the strange magic antics but they get the job done! They help each other out, all the Deception cliffhangers/loose ends are all wrapped up (maybe some new plots?)

Oh and Cam teaches Malcolm some sleight of hand tricks, and Malcolm is! so excited! to show his friends!

Ainsley doesn't trust them that much at first, but as she grows closer to Dina she realizes the benefits of mellowing out, and Ainsley reaps the benefits of finally actually having good real friends that weren't ones she just made for her job, but ones she actually cherishes.

Malcolm is just ecstatic that he now has two (2) teams that have his back, after practically a lifetime of feeling like no one was truly on his side he is just genuinely happy that now he has two families (and you know double the murder cases to solve)
