; FAMILY TIES

Of the people that Reverie mentions, their aunt and little sister are the most frequent, if you could even say the word of the brief implications tossed about.

Their aunt was named Maelys Lancaster, sister to their mother and the kindest of all the people they've known (besides General Green). Affectionately known as "Madame Mae," the middle aged woman was both revered and shunned for being the witch that she was. The visits to her establishment near the beaches of France were what cultivated Reverie's ability for magic, and what ultimately got her tossed onto the ship alongside the witch she had taught. She had all but raised Reverie, and gave them their current nickname of "Verie" since she thought it was cuter. 

Their little sister was named Amelie Lily-Rose Moreau, one of the bravest souls they've ever known, even above General Orange. Affectionately called "Lise", pronounced "Lizz", by her peers and elder sibling, she held the capability for magic just as Reverie had. However, their parents refused her any way to learn about magic in depth and excommunicated her from her sibling the moment the chance came to send them to their doom. This choice saved her from the horrors of war, but not from the diseases and horrors of a country riddled with strife and corrupt government.

Reverie never speaks of their parents unless you're extremely close to them or have known them for a long time.

(For the UF verse, the death of their aunt and the excommunication of their sister is what causes them to grow bitter and hateful rather than kind and understanding Post True Pacifist.)

War Is Glorious? Not to this guy.

They’ve seen and done things that no amount of therapy will ever completely heal, and it’s left them so irrevocably scarred they have trouble feeling, emoting, and caring about the people around them and themselves. If they continue to feel anything at all, it’s usually restricted to Survivor Guilt. Thus they’re usually the first to do what must be done and Shoot the Dog. The war clearly never ended for this character.
