One of the things Chaos is good at, weather they know it or not, is subterfuge. Being around them makes people better at lying, better at disappearing into a crowd... better at telling when they’re being lied to. And much more willing to call someone out on it.

As well as more inclined to start fights.

Xandrew, having been the one to awaken Chay from their prison and having been the one that took them in for a while, has more than a little exposure to the... side effects... of being around Chaos. As such he’s really good at both being annoying and losing a tail. He just doesn’t know it on a conscious level.

Xandrew  is a professor of ancient cultures. He’s often out in the field doing research and excavation. That’s how he stumbled across Chaos’ tomb. He’d already seen some weird shit in his life because of his job. So naturally he’d ignored the locals warnings of evil in the mountains. 

He took the disoriented being in, teaching them the basics for dealing with humanity and how to navigate the day-to-day. Working together to attempt and regain their memories, due to a mix of pity and morbid curiosity.

Due to having stumbled across something that he shouldn’t have, he was given a choice to either join the assassins brotherhood, or be killed. He trained with them for six years before finally being granted a form of semi-freedom. Though he is more or less on call for when the brotherhood needs him to do something.
