an essay titled “justice” written by jack kennedy (at age 16) speaks of the importance of family and upbringing which dictates a person’s success and triumph in life. his eloquent understanding and compassion for those less fortunate is evident:

Man, I really hate seeing comments like "Jentry was being such a bitch to Kit how could she 🥺" like she didn't just find out that she wasn't born with these destructive powers that have made her the target of dangerous demons;that the person she trusted the most had been lying to her all her life; and on top of that she was sixteen

the thing i just cant wrap my head around with kipperlilly haters is like... how do you think her willingly taking on a mind control star after being groomed somehow... negates the fact that she was groomed? kipperlillys frustration and anger and selfishness were primed by porter to make her perfect for the job. her being groomed and her accepting a rage star are not separate events, they are inherently connected by nature of the fact that her judgement was clouded.

it's so frustrating to me that Adam is supposed to be Gaston I guess??? when the Minotaur is literally right there (a monster not born as one but created by the cruelty of man, only defeatable with love and cooperation, Literally A Bull Man, etc) like. Blake being a whole fairytale is stupid because it's not repeated for any other character and also is the cause of some of the most horrendous fandom discourse because nobody can figure out what she, yang, Or adam are supposed to be in the fairytale. just make him the minotaur. let yang continue to be goldilocks. give blake an actual character assignment so her development can be less rocky and on more stable foundation. anyway sorry for the essay the autism bug has been biting me about adam's writing lately. idk if this is a take anyone else has already said but it's certainly not something canon has said lol so

im pretty sure the whole idea of him being gaston was a fandom originated thing that caught on hard but. hard agree. also abt the minotaur uhhh write that down Patrick write that down!!

At some point in Tomorrow's a Long Way Off, Jonathan gives Steve a ride somewhere and accidentally plays his weird emotional support 1960s-1970s country music mixtape, and Steve is so unfamiliar with what someone like Jonathan would usually listen to (beyond "not Van Halen or Journey or REO Speedwagon") that, internally, he's like "huh, I guess Tammy Wynette, the preferred artist of my mom when she gets a few drinks in her, is cool. But at this point I'm honestly afraid to ask."

just saw some passenger slander on reddit and man...

to be fair, it’s true that he did the whole “I infected myself because I got angry” thing but the best part abt his character is that he regrets the shit he did when he was young and stupid 22 years ago... The whole schtick in AWAITD was that he was a blooming prodigy, fallen from grace (so sexy of him) and damned to meet his end by oripathy. Passenger (operator) is so great because of that contrast, in 22 years he’s no longer the “Elliot Grover” of the past, abandoning everything down to his very nationality

Rather than loving him because of a meme I really liked him after I saw all the edgy sprites of Elliot, and I was like “damn what happened to this kid?” Cuz compared to most other ops I’m not sure if we’ve really had an op that’s just so... empty, after everything. Someone once described Passenger as the doctor’s yes-man and I think that’s a great description because to be fair, that’s basically all he is after joining Rhodes. He doesn’t have any great goals for his life, and he’s already finished his revenge, but rather than feeling satisfied all he feels is a cold, empty regret. Compared to other tragic ops like Phantom or Eben, Passenger is so empty he’s almost inhuman. I mean, even Mlynar has his nieces and Toland to care about, meanwhile Passenger has no meaningful relationships with anyone left. The Lone Soldier he is, he only has himself, all the lingering regrets and hatred, he associates with not only Sargon, but himself.
