happy birth to Vince Keaton! born on Melona 23th, 40 BBY!
a Force-sensitive Morellian who grew up w/ the Jedi Order and fought in the Clone Wars, i decided to go the Sentinel route w/ him. b/c i guess it was time for me to have a Jedi spy?? idk lol.
he was actually created in junction w/ another oc, Giuseppe Gillespie, b/c they be boyfriends. which was obviously a secret, but they kinda weren’t official either, like they were still figuring things out when the war broke out, and then Order 66 happened, so that separated them for years. and yes, they both managed to survive; Vin used his espionage skills to essentially create himself a whole new identity and hid under that guise until he was able to join the Rebellion, where he and Gil eventually reunited. but yeah, that, and he’s pretty damn good in a fist fight too, so that helped w/ the whole not being able to use his lightsaber thing. like lmao, basically he’s one of those spies that when shit hits the fan, he’ll just start throwing punches. so he’s pretty much the rowdy boi to Gil’s flower boi, but they’re both really sweet.
~one year later...
ngl, haven’t gotten around to putting too much thought into him in a while, but one sort of random vibe i just now got from him was that he kinda just. retires, in a sense? from being a Jedi. like i guess b/c he went so long hiding the fact he was raised as one, it just. ended up feeling like an old pair of shoes to him, like he essentially got used to being a “normal” dude. though i don’t think that’s to say he’d abstain from it forever; maybe if he knew he was in a safe/comfortable environment, he’d use a couple little Force tricks here and there to make daily life a little easier. and say if someone was in trouble and needed his help, or if he was the only one who could help, he’d use his old skill set if need be. but more often than not, he’d rather just solve his problems practically than do ridiculous Jedi shit all the time.
and also, given that Gil becomes Ihme’s mentor when it comes to Force-related stuff, it ends up being a nice contrast between the two different teaching methods. as always, the two balance each other out well.
