Harpies from Cuinn's region (far eastern edge of a massive plain/steppe) are given simple adjective-noun names, like warrior cats, to distinguish them from one another usually based on defining physical traits. However the names become elaborate depending on role. Cuinn's names have always referenced his white feathers. Originally his name was Snowy One. All subsequent names, except for the human-given name Cuinn, must iterate on the previous name, introducing new descriptive elements each time.

When his old king picked him as a tiercel, he was given a 'pretty' version of his original name; White Flower in Snow. He deeply resented it and refused to answer to this name as much as he could get away with. When he declared himself a king, he picked a suitable king name, which always reflect 1. an iteration of the previous name, but Tough and Scary, usually evoking a natural disaster, and 2. their territory. He declared himself Ice Storm over the Ama [original territory]. But the self-declared names don't stick unless you win against the old king, and because he lost, the old king got to iterate on that chosen name insultingly, and that stuck - he was called Snow Squall as an exile, basically "hardly a storm at all, but a pathetic squall".

'Cuinn' was given by the human falconer who found him and nursed him back to health, it is the name of a white flower in the region. So he didn't escape the flower names after all. Only once he could get the falconer flock to accept him did he manage to finally declare himself Ice Storm for real. The humans don't use it but it's mainly a declaration to wild flocks around the place that this village has a king and he's so cool and strong and dangerous you better not fuck with him

yu junghyeok and prince cedric have like practically the same design (+v similar personality) but listen the Vibes they have r diff... idk if this makes sense but u know charas w tired dilf energy... YJH has that but not cedric.. hes like a baby.. the way I describe it is YJH is babygirl but cedric is just my baby🫂🔥🔥🔥*gets incinerated* SKJDJ idk if it's noticeable at all but I try to capture diff vibes when I draw them....

when i draw cedric i try to go full shoujo... he is a romance novel male lead... sparkly eyes bright colors 90s anime blush... goes full squish mode when drawing him chibi MFNSKJ🤭

but when i draw yjh im like... no i have to convey the Angst and Depression.... *gives him dark circles and takes the light from his eyes*😇🖤

idk if it's noticeable but I also try to differentiate their designs in subtle ways (besides eye color etc),,, I give them diff eyebrow shapes!! I like YJH with triangle brows(thicker at the ends) and cedric w tapered brows(thicker toward the middle) like the webtoon... I also try to make cedric's hair a bit curlier than YJH🥹
