dearest ari,
i'm sorry if this ask is a little weird, but...
do you think if you got kenny a little plush of a brain he'd find it cute?
ANON. YOUR BRAIN (🥁) .
HE WOULD FIND IT SO ENDEARING :((((((((( you’re just lying there hugging a lil brain plush to your chest n he’s like ???? but he’s SMILING and he has that amused glint in his eyes…. i think he finds you cute but he just boops your nose n leaves. may or may not come back with another brain plushie. who knows……
if you try giving them to him i think he might decline if only bc he’d rather you have them!!! i think it’s almost like. a slightttt possessive streak in him yk …. he wants you to keep things that remind you of him. but if he ends up keeping a plushie you gave to him i think he’d treat it very tenderly :’3 won’t sleep w it or anything, but he looks at it and thinks of you . squeezes it when he’s stressed maybe (bc your hand isn’t there for him to squeeze)…. etcetc . he’s a closeted cutiepie

Well well well... you're just in time Zimmermansbrat... Morby is sending out asks tonight...
You are a new follower and dont know me perhaps very well, but sometimes I like to send out litte challenges and stuff to you writers out there, and I have one you may like to sink your teeth into...
Use the following to write a story...
https://youtu.be/Tk46D1eFXZo "Dont Wanna Go The Other Way" by Cody Chesnut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yep I know, this looks totally nuts right?
It's a technique my mums writing group use to create new stories, or perhaps brain storm around problems in their work.
There are rules... you can add whatever you like, but you have to use the song and at least three pictures.
I'm gonna do one myself, so I can see if it works as a new idea to get out of my writers block.
Please dont feel obliged to answer, it's totally up to you if you'd like to participate... but it would be awesome if you did!
Have Fun and Thanks for the follow
Love
Morby
Morby! So nice to hear from you again, thank you for this wonderful ask! This collage just seems so Sackler to me so I had to, lol. I feel like the final product ended up being a bit jumpy, I had a bit of trouble smoothly stringing along the different aspects into one imagine plotline, but I had so much fun with this challenge! I hope I did it justice!

summary: y/n spends the day with her weirdo neighbour and nobody could have predicted how things pan out.
warnings: swearing, a poor understanding of New York geography
Tumblr media
You stood by your front door, jaw clenched, keys gripped tightly in hand, ear pressed against the wood as you listened as closely as you could for the telltale sign of your weirdo neighbour across the hall retreating into his room.
“Oh shit, fuck are you going speedy?”
“Oh shit, fuck are you going speedy?”
“Oh shit, fuck are you going speedy?”
Your eyes squeezed shut and you cursed silently. You didn’t have to look up to know who was speaking, the booming, goofy, tone. You took a deep breath to compose yourself before pulling backwards, at least as much as you could with his vice rip on your arms still present.
“Hey Adam, ugh, I was just going to run some errands I-”
“I was wondering what the fuck everyone’s been up to? It’s been quiet as shit down this whole hallway, felt like I was in a ghost town or some shit.” He interrupted you.
“That’s great um.” You tugged your arms slightly and he got the message, he released your arms finally with a quick ‘sorry’. “Anyways, um I was just headed out, I’ve got some shopping to do so.”
“Yeah so do I, that’s just where I was headed we can be like shopping buddies or whatever.” He offered, showing off a toothy grin, big eyes meeting yours. He was attractive, with his big strong nose and his long floppy black hair, you’d be lying if you said he wasn’t. You’d found yourself rather drawn to him in the beginning, but that had only lasted until the first few times he had opened his mouth. He turned out to be rather strange and awkward and it just wasn’t something you could get past, and so you had begun avoiding the pretty weirdo at all costs.
You were ready to turn him down and be on your merry way but you were tired of avoiding him and you didn’t know how much fight you had left in you. Not to mention it was well into winter now, which meant the sun would only be up for another hour or so, and you never fancied walking through your part of New York alone after dark. And so you found yourself agreeing, how long could a few groceries take after all?
“Great but you’ve gotta come along to some to do some of my errands too.” He said, turning and walking ahead, making it halfway down the hallway in just a few long strides.
“What like drycleaning?” you asked, trotting along to catch up with him.
“No, not really.” He answered vaguely, hurrying down the steps two at a time.
You started with your shopping, which he let you get through without too much trouble. In fact, the whole ordeal had been almost pleasant, you were trying to pick out an onion when you looked over to see him holding two different zucchinis in his hand.
“Hey y/n. Do you think I’m more like this one or this one?” He asked rather loudly through the store, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.
“I think,” you paused, settling on one of the freshest looking onions near the top of the stack, “that it’s a wonder you’re still allowed out in public.”
“Oh shit,” his expression shifted, his grin deepened and he looked somewhat surprised by you, “You’re a little feisty after all.” he sounded impressed, “Well if you can guess which one is right, I’ll buy all your groceries.”
“Ok fine.” You crossed your arms, pretending to seriously contemplate the vegetables, you decided to be generous, opting for the slightly larger one. “Left.”
“Actually the answer was neither, it’s bigger than both of these.” He winked, tossing the vegetables down and circling around to your side of the display.
“Oh, I’m sure that’s true.” You jabbed sarcastically.
“I can show you later if you’d like.” he teased, walking into your space.
“Shut up let’s go.” you tried to be serious but a little giggle slipped out anyway as you playfully pushed him forward towards the checkout.
-
Adam’s errands turned out to be a somewhat chaotic stroll through a small corner park. You must have spent much longer in that little park then either of you had been expecting, you sat on a little bench for a while just talking. You told him about the work you had been up, and he turned out to be an actor, telling you about an audition he had recently been to, and how he thought he did really well but honestly he didn’t really like the movie’s concept so if he didn’t make the role then it was no big deal.
Never being one for small talk, you were sure that your little day out with Adam would slowly trudge by, loaded with plenty of awkward silences, but it turned out being with Adam was easy. He had no trouble keeping the conversation going, and he always managed to bring up things you actually wanted to talk about. And he was so funny, you’d be willing to listen to his jokes all day except that at one point he made you laugh so hard your stomach began to hurt and you couldn’t get a full gulp of air down your lungs for almost a minute straight.
It wasn’t until the sky began to turn a pinky-orange that you realised what time it was and suggested to head back. You had wound up rather far from your apartment complex so you both made the decision to take the subway home. It was rush hour by now so you had to push and shove a bit to get down the stairs and over to the platform you needed, and it was an even tighter squeeze when you got onto your actual train. You ended up shoved tightly against him for the first few stops, it was silly, but you tried not to let yourself dwell on the giddy feeling you got being so close to him.
As you made your way out of midtown, the car cleared out some, and Adam appeared to be growing restless, surveying his surroundings to find something to occupy himself before settling on the fire extinguisher by the door. He played with the features of it for a moment before pulling it off the wall to examine it closer.
“Adam, put it back.” you quickly scolded when you caught wind of what he was doing.
“Relax I’m just looking at it.”
“You’re not supposed to touch it!” You insisted.
“If I wasn’t supposed to be touching it then they should have attached it to the wall better.” He continued playing with the extinguisher, pulling the tiny safety bar out, dropping it carelessly, letting it rattle against the floor.
“They can’t do that, what if someone needs it, Adam, please put it down,” you begged, trying to grab it from him, but he pulled it away quickly.
“Oh come on, this thing’s probably been in here like a kajillion years, shit wouldn’t even work anymore.” He continued, twisting it in his hands.
“Yes, it does! Now leave it alone, I’m serious.” You begin to panic at the thought of him doing something dumb.
“Wanna bet?” You could see the mischief practically glittering in his eyes as he suddenly mounted the extinguisher. You felt the blood drain from your face.
“Adam I swear to God if you-”
But you were too late, suddenly a thick cloud of fire retardant burst through the canister filling the car with smoke and panic, the force sending Adam a few feet forward before his weight pulled him back to the ground and he toppled over in a fit of laughter.
“Adam!” You screeched humiliated as the car erupted in coughing fits and a few swears. You glared straight at the floor as you marched over to him, avoiding the heated glares and shouting, as you pulled him up quickly.
“Come on this is our stop.” You announced sharply, pulling him towards the doors as the train came to a stop.
“No, it’s not.” He looked at you confused, still halfway smiling, proud of his own stunt.
“Yes. it. is.” You say through gritted teeth, pulling him onto the platform.
Of course, it wasn’t really your stop, and you could’ve saved yourself quite a few blocks of travelling time by staying on, but the thought of carrying on with those passengers, after what Adam had done, for even a second longer was too much to bear. It wasn’t until you were nearly at your building that Adam seemed to pick up on just how upset the whole thing had made you.
“Hey look I didn’t know it’d be such a big deal to you.” He offers, kicking a small rock along the pavement as he trudged on.
“That was so embarrassing, you can’t do shit like that Adam.” You grumble, not willing to forgive him.
“It’s New York, people do fucking weird shit here every day,”
“This is the worst apology I’ve ever heard.” You stopped on the first step of the building, turning to look at him.
“I’m sorry? Ok? I won’t do shit like that ever again when we’re out together? Happy?” He said, moving onto your step next to you.
“When are we going out together again?” You asked, cocking your head slightly.
“Have you ever been on the roof?” He asked back, ignoring your question entirely, backing up the steps.
“No? Wait I don’t think we’re allowed on the roof!” You followed him up into the building.
“Drop your shit off and meet me in the hallway, I’ll make things up to you I promise.” He winked.
-
“Do you keep your bike up here?” You tried and failed to hide a smile at the sight in front of you. Adam was in front of you twisting and turning his handlebar, trying to show you how he could lean back and balance on the back wheel.
“Sometimes I do, no assholes have tried to steal it yet so,” his speech comes out almost in grunts, as he focused intently on performing his trick for you.
“You wanna try it?” He asks, dismounting and moving some of his hair out of his face.
“That’s ok, I’m not a stunt master like you,” you excused, “besides, I’m not sure my feet would even reach the pedals, that thing’s huge.”
“Hey look at this!” He dropped the bike, moving to the ledge of the roof, “you can see for fucking miles up here.” You followed him over, pulling the hoodie you had grabbed from your place tighter against you as a cool gust of wind flew by. It was pretty much dark now, and you could see the lights of your city clearly from here. It wasn’t a particularly tall building you lived in, there was bigger on either side and across the way, but you could see clearly down both sides of the street. New York felt bigger with all the lights on if that was even possible. There was something about the bright city lights that set off curiosity in you. People really lived in every single one of those windows, they had a whole life, and family and friends and jobs and dreams and you’ll never know most of them.
“It’s amazing isn’t it.” you sighed, staring at as much of the world as you could possibly see from your little perch.
“Yeah, it is.” He said, watching you watch your city.
-
You really had meant to go back to your place after that, but Adam had coaxed you into coming into his apartment instead, insisting that it was only fair for you to see his place after the day you had together.
“Do you want like juice or anything?” He offered, trying to be hospitable as he closed the door behind you.
“No thank you.” you smiled, taking in the place. It was messy for sure, but you’d seen worse, there was a lot of open space in the middle of the room, there was a couch at the far end of the room, but it was covered with clothes and things at the moment.
“You like music?” He asked, messing with something that must be sitting on a small table by his front door, he moved slightly and you could see the device he was hiding.
“You have an actual record player? That’s crazy, I didn’t know people still had those.” Your feet were ready to give out after the day you’d had, so you decided to sit down on the floor, watching him shuffle through records before settling on one and moving to put it in place on the player.
“You know what they say, no music, no life.” He moved the needle, letting it drop near the edge of the vinyl. An R&B artist you vaguely recognised began playing through the apartment.
“You listen to this stuff?” You asked, watching him sit next to you on the floor, moving directly to a lying position on the floor.
“Come on, it sounds better down here.” he insisted, patting the empty wooden panels next to him. You obliged, leaning back against the hardwood, shuffling slightly to get more comfortable.
“I really am sorry,” he added after a while, another apology filling pushing into the brief silence of the room as you both waited for the next track on the record to begin. You kept your eyes trained on the ceiling, but you could feel his gaze move to you. “Guess I’m just a shit flirt.” Your eyes grew as you took in the weight of his words as if on cue the opening lines of the next song began softly through the apartment. You held off on laughing at him for the song choice, focusing on holding onto the words which had just come out of his mouth.
“You’ve been flirting with me all day?” You ask, turning on your side, propping yourself up on your elbow, staring at him.
“Oh fuuuck yeah,” he shrugged, turning to look at the ceiling again. “I flirt with you all the time kid,” he added casually, tapping his foot against the wood as the chorus began to pick up.
“W-what?” you asked, dumbfounded. “You were flirting… with me?”
“Of course I was, you’re funny and I think you’re pretty smart.” he listed off easily, still staring at the ceiling, “ also you’re fucking so hot, I fucking just wanna look at your face all day.”
“Why didn’t you ask me out of something?” You hummed, looking down at the floor.
“I guess I thought that was kinda what today was.” He rolled over, suddenly his face was only an inch or so from yours.
“It can’t be a date if I don’t know it is, it only counts if we both agree that-”
“Can I kiss you?” he cut you off, eyes darting between your eyes and your lips.
“O-okay.” your face suddenly felt hot, but you had little time to dwell on it before he leaned in, kissing you eagerly, nose prodding against yours, his hand coming up to cup the side of your face. He nipped and nibbled at your bottom lip for a moment before wiggling his tongue into your mouth, kissing you more eagerly. His other hand came up to your side, and in one swift motion, he tugged you on top of him.
You got lost in kissing him for the tiniest moment before you mentally re-entered the room, ears perking up at the sound of the song entering its second chorus.
“Can we redo all of this in about 2 minutes?” You giggled, pulling yourself off his mouth slightly to stare down at him.
“What? Why?” his face scrunched up in confusion and then he gripped your face, pulling you down again.
“Becaaaauuussse,” you groan, pulling back again. “Don’t wanna go the other way by Cody Chesnutt cannot be our song.”
“Too late now kid,” He hummed pulling all of your weight down to him, tucking you into his chest. “Too late now.”

Heights - A Superman Imagine
-original idea where the reader is revealed to have a slight fear of heights when Clark Kent tries to take her flying with him.
Tumblr media
Imagine...
Months after the Superman hype had wind down, violence in Metropolis had depleted greatly. This meant that Clark and you had more time to spend with each-other. The two of you enjoyed work at The Daily Planet, partially because you got to spend lunch together and partially because of the challenge of the job itself. On nights where neither of you had to work, however, the two of you would enjoy climbing to the rooftop to watch the stars. It was always so beautiful, fresh air, a clear sky and a perfect view of the city.
Tonight, you guys had revisited the rooftop and while you walked up the steps, Clark was beginning to plan a risky idea.
As you reached the top, you stood standing in the middle, head tilted towards the galaxy. Clark watched as you did so, smiling to himself before walking over.
He snakes an arm around your waist, your head turning towards him as you inched closer.
“C’mere, stand on my feet.” His smile slipped.
You raised an eyebrow but did as told. “Why you weirdo?” You giggled
He grinned at you, “Are we gonna dance?” You joked.
“Sort of.” He winked. Your eyes studied his face till something caught your attention in the background.
You gasped, immediately holding him closer and digging your nails into his skin.
“Clark!” Your voice shook as you dared to look down. The city below you made you dizzy, your heart was ready to leap out of your chest and fall to the ground with you. You whipped your head back at him, burying your face in his chest.
“Are you scared?” He chuckled.
“Are you kidding.” You muffled into his chest. You felt the vibration of his laughter which made you more nervous. “Clark!” You begged.
“I have you. Don’t be scared.” He reassured. You honest to God trusted him with every inch of your being, you knew that even if you did slip or fall he would catch you, no doubt about it - you would not be dying. But the fear of falling still made your bones shake. You tried desperately to focus on him holding you. You managed to peek past his shoulder at the skyline behind him. The city lights beamed from far away.
“Beautiful isn’t it?” He commented, smiling at the thought of your expression.
You nodded in awe.
***
Back on the ground, you were quick to take a hot shower to calm your nerves.
“Did you wash off the fear?” He joked as you walked out in pajamas drying your hair. The two of you laughed.
“Listen Mr., not everyone is so keen and chill with hanging out in the middle of the sky.” You protested, to which he laughed and made his way from the couch and over to you.
“But it was fun, right?” He asked, moving his hands to your hips, looking down at you with a cheeky smile. “It was horrifying, but nice to be safe in your arms.” You teased.
He laughed before planting a sweet kiss on your lips.
***
A couple months later, you had taken on an opportunity to catch the man behind the latest political scandal. Your plan had been to meet the man at a restaurant, record the conversation on a hidden drive and submit it to The Daily Planet. Clark thought of it as very risky but he was proud of you and supported your plan, however, he was very stern about him being there with you, if not doing it himself. His heart was in the right place as he simply was concerned about your safety. You, however, were determined to get it done, and while you had agreed that the two of you would work together, the man had changed the time and date to tonight. In the heat of the moment, you decided to go alone as Clark wouldn’t have been able to make it.
***
Fortunately, the conversation between you and the politician went incredibly well. He revealed pieces of evidence that did more than prove what he was accused of. Before the conversation ended you smiled at the man and thanked him for his time. He gave you a strange look before you had left the restaurant.
***
Outside of the restaurant, heading towards The Daily Planet, you had called Clark. He was heading home from work.
“I did it!” You grinned proudly
“Hey! Did what?”
“The plan! I just got out of the restaurant, you have no idea the amount of proof-“
“Y/n, I told you we should do that together.” He retorted, worry in his voice.
“I know, but he rescheduled and I knew you’d just be getting out of work so-“
“I wanted to do it together because of the risk. This is so incredibly dangerous, people like him work tediously for their character to be represented a certain way and they will work by any means necessary -“
“Clark, please just be proud of me for a second-“
“I am sweetie, I am proud of you, but I just want to make sure you’re safe.”
No sooner than he said that, sure enough, you watched as a guy dressed in a crisp black suit continued to follow you.
“Y/n?”
You kept pace, trying not to let the guy know you noticed him.
“Clark...I need you to meet me at the Planet -“
When you made it to the end of the block you haulted as another man made his way towards you.
“Y/n? What happened? Is everything okay?” You could hear the terror in Clark’s voice.
You turned and ran towards the building, though the men followed with an even quicker pace.
“Clark please hurry!” You screamed into the phone, placing it in your pocket, making sure not to hang up.
You ran as fast as you could, now a block away from the building. A black Escalade screeched in front of you, stopping you in your tracks. You managed to run past the trunk before they jumped from the car, racing to the back of the building. More men followed behind, guns now shooting after you. You waved your key at the door, hands shaking, praying the door would open sooner. It clicked, allowing you inside. You pushed the door, immediately plummeting to the ground as a tall man yanked at your ankle. You squealed as his hands pulled you down towards him and roamed over you in search of the drive. You kicked and punched, eventually squirming your way out of his grasp as you had clapped your hands against his ears. You scrambled to your feet and left him moaning in pain. Several flights up, you finally made it onto the floor with the overnight computers. You attempted to baracade the door with a few chairs before plugging the flash-drive in.
Gunshots started to hit the door from the stairway, you whipped your head to see the outline of a bullet forcing its way through the metal door. You yanked the drive out, quickly heading towards the nearest exit. Eventually, you ended up on the roof, the only place clear of deadly men. The wind was harsh tonight, invading more fear in you. You inched towards the edge and jumped back at the sight of how far down the ground was. The sound of a metal door being slammed open caught your attention. You peaked at your phone and saw that Clark was still on the line.
You watched as the men in suits turned the corner and made their way towards you. You looked back at the ledge behind you. Your body started to shake, your knees growing weak as you acknowledged that the only way out of this was to face your fear.
The men shouted at you, pointing their guns your way.
“Clark, remember that night, you took me on a flight-“
You gripped the drive, holding it over the edge, backing your body closer and closer, carefully lifting your shaking legs onto the ledge.
One man ordered the others to put their guns down as you threatened to throw it over the edge. You felt a gust of wind push against you, your body wobbled, wanting to cry as you seemingly were at a crossroads. You could have sworn you heard Clark’s encouraging voice say, “C’mon baby, you got this.” You swallowed hard, and took one step back. The men screamed and leaped forward as you took your final step off the edge of the building.
Wind gusted through your body for a few seconds before familiar arms caught you. You squeaked, though knowing he’d be there to catch you, you were still somehow shocked at the scene. The corners of his mouth turned up as he placed you gently on a much lower level that had access to the computer rooms. You were still very shaken up as he held you for a second.
He squeezed your shoulders, urging you to look up at him.
“I’m so proud of you.” He smiled. You returned the expression.
“Now go finish the job and I’ll take care of these guys.” You nodded and headed towards the door as he flew back up to the building.
***
After finally uploading the drive to the private network, you sat back and placed it back in your pocket. The shake in your hands started to diminish as you sat in the chair smiling at the thought of your own capabilities.
“Happy?” Clark smirked.
You turned around to see Clark making his way towards you. “Yes.” You smiled.
He chuckled and kissed the top of your head. “Ready?” He opened his hand.
“Actually, tonight’s a great night for a flight.” You grinned.
He smiled back at your new found bravery. “Let’s take a flight.”

Draco Malfoy x Reader

Quick Note!: There might be a lot of errors since this was so long so I apologize in advance. This also might seem very weird because I feel like I repeated a lot of words and what not so I am sorry for that too. This is the longest I have ever written so I hope you enjoy anyways and have fun!
Knock
Knock
Knock
I waited patiently for anyone to open the door since it seemed like the door was locked. I knew my parents were home because the lights were on and the decorations were plugged in yet no one seemed to hear my arrival. I looked around down both sides of the street, making sure I was clear to use magic in public and when I found no one to be outside in the cold and snowy night of Christmas eve, I pointed my wand at the door and mumbled the spell under my breath to open the lock. “Alohomora …” I whispered, quickly putting my wand away in case anyone were to have come outside. I opened the door and felt a wave of heat hit my face before I even walked in.
I  kicked the snow off of my shoes before stepping through the door and took them off when I got inside, putting them down next to my bag on the floor. I pulled the green Slytherin scarf off of my neck and hung it on the hook by Dracos coat that he gave me before we left. I smiled running my hand down the fabric of the coat before turning away to walk down a hallway filled with family photos to the kitchen which was glowing a warm orange. “Hello?” I called out, hoping to get a response but the floating pots and pans flying around the kitchen all at once was enough to tell me that my family was home.
“(Y/n)!” My family yelled out, the pans stopping mid-air as my mother turned to greet me with the others. “Hi!” I giggled, waving at everyone and walking in to sit at the kitchen counter where everyone else was seated. My older brother Luke and second oldest brother Dylan both gave me a side hug before turning back to what they were doing. “How’s life at Hogwarts? Snape still-” Luke was cut off by Dylan grabbing both of my shoulders to turn me to face his direction. “What house did you get in?” He asked with a serious glare. “Dylan. Are you kidding me? I'm not even a first-year anymore. How do you not remember?” I asked, raising a brow at his odd question. Dad did the same as he looked over at his son, waiting for his answer. “Oh…. Wait? What?” I shook my head with a smile and pushed his hands off my shoulders to turn back to face the kitchen. “I'm in Slytherin, you weirdo.” Dylan snapped his fingers in realization and gave out a laugh. “That's right! See, now I remember.” He stated proudly, crossing his arms and raising his head in triumph. “Really, Dylan?” Luke asked, shaking his head. Dylan shrugged his shoulders and we all got back to what was happening before Dylan’s strange question.
“So, (Y/n). How is Hogwarts?” My dad asked, leaning back in his seat and crossing his arms. I immediately smiled and sat up straight. “Oh, it's wonderful. I still love it there. I don’t know what I'm going to do when I have to leave.” I slumped over sadly, thinking of all the good times I have had so far. “Well, leaving is the hardest part but it does sound like you’re having fun.” He smiled, giving a single nod. “I am,” I replied, “And I don’t want to leave.” I sighed, scooting my chair in further. “Oh! Dear, how is that boyfriend of yours?” My mom asked to break the long silence after the end of our conversation. I tensed up as my brothers both turned to look at me. “Boyfriend?” They both asked in unison. I groaned and my mom chuckled, turning back to what she was doing. “Come on. Spit it out!” Dylan urged, nudging my arm. I playfully swatted his arm away and crossed my arms over one another to rest my head on. “He’s perfect,” I replied, my heart fluttering at the thought of the blonde-haired boy. “Well, who is he? You can’t expect us to just sit here not knowing who we have to beat up- I mean meet one day.” Luke joked with a wide grin. “Oh, stop that.” My mom smiled while scolding her son. “Come one dear, you didn’t even tell me who he was over letter.” She said referring back to the many letters I sent her while spending time at Hogwarts. “Ok. Are you familiar with the Malfoys?” I questioned them, causing my dad's face to fall into a grumpy expression. “Oh, I’m familiar.” He said, setting down the drink he was once holding onto. “Well, his name is Draco Malfoy. He treats me very well and he gave me his coat before we left so I could keep warm on my walk home.” I explained. My brothers and mom nodded in approval but my dad, on the other hand, was still sitting with the grumpy expression glued to his face. “Oh, come on, Dad.” The Malfoys aren't that bad.” I told him, turning to look at him. “Yeah, I know. Maybe not to me or your mother directly but Lucius was so snobby and I hear he still is. I hope his kid isn’t the same.” He said picking his drink back up. “Well, he can be …. Troublesome at times, but I promise you he is nothing but a sweetheart to me and is very gentlemanly,” I told them, covering the fading hickey that Draco so kindly put on my neck before we left. “He better be,” Luke warned. “He is, I promise.” I smiled, patting his shoulder.
Little did you know, they had already met said boyfriend, just playing along to keep a plan in motion that you were completely unaware of.
------------
“(Y/n)! Dinner is ready!” My mom called out from downstairs. I had been putting my things away for the break and cleaning up for my stay since I would be here for a week or two. “Coming!” I replied, getting up off the floor to go to the door but was stopped by pecking at the door. I turned around to find a snowy white owl sitting on the ledge and opened the window, letting all the cold air in. I took the letter out of the owl's beak and thanked it with a scratch on its head. It flew off and I closed my window and placed it down on my desk without checking who it was from and went downstairs.
“Finally! Let's dig in!” Dylan shouted, quickly reaching over to put food on his plate. My mom smacked his hand away and gave him a small glare. “Dear, come take a seat. Food is ready.” She smiled, setting a plate down in my spot. They all stared at me and I slowly sat down, wondering what was going on. “So, someone gonna tell me what’s happening or am I just going to sit here and you guys watch me eat?” I asked, giving a chuckle. I heard a rustling from around the corner that leads to the door and turned to look at the small space and caught a glimpse of bright blonde hair. I quickly stood up, slamming my hands down on the table and looked at my family with wide eyes. My brothers had small smirks on their faces and my mom and dad had smiles on theirs. “(Y/n), Before you came back home, we invited a special guest to stay with us over the holidays.” My mom explained, sitting herself down in her chair. I quickly glanced at the door and back to them, my mom and dad nodding for me to go look. I slowly walked to the door and turned the corner, a smile appearing on my own face. “Hello, love.” Draco greeted me. “Draco!” I shouted, jumping up to give him a hug. He caught me and wrapped his arms around me to hold me up while I wrapped my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. He stumbled back into the dining room door frame from the sudden force and chuckled. “Nice to see you too.” He said, kissing my cheek. I looked up into his eyes and gave his lips a peck causing him to blush. “Ahem …. Uh, (Y/n). Your… family.” He whispered. “Oh!” I said, unwrapping myself from around his tall figure. “Sorry, everyone.” I apologized, leading him into the room. “I'm guessing you all have already met him?” I asked, sitting down and pulling out the chair next to me for him to sit down in. I placed my plate and things in front of him and walked to the kitchen to get my own. I grabbed the plate and brought it over to the table and sat down in my chair. They all told me how they got him here and when he arrived which lead to everyone talking to one another while we all ate. They asked him all sorts of questions, some making him nervous which lead to him holding my hand under the table and squeezing it whenever he felt nervous again. Dinner ended nicely with my dad speaking to Draco once more, saying it was nice to finally meet him and Draco saying the same back. “(Y/n), would you help clear the table and wash everything? I can show Draco to his room.” My mom asked, putting her napkin on the table. “Oh, I can help clean up.” Draco offered, walking over to stand next to me to hold my hand. My mom looked over the both of us, cupping her hands together with a smile and nodded to him. “Well, since you offered. Thank you, Draco. I will just leave you two be.” She said, walking out of the room and upstairs. “I think they really like you,” I said, looking up into his icy grey eyes. “Of course they do, I'm a Malfoy after all.” He boasted about himself. I elbowed him playfully in the ribs and walked away into the kitchen. “Kidding!” He stated, rubbing his side and following me there.
“My mom already gathered everything, we just have to wash the dishes,” I told him, leaning down to get the soap from under the sink. “Wait… what?” He asked with a raised brow. “Oh, I think she cleared it for us so we wouldn't have much trouble,” I explained. “Yes, but when?” He asked once again, walking over to the sink where everything was piled up. “Oh, she uses her magic quite a lot,” I told him while filling the sink with water. Draco nodded and got to work helping me. “Did you get my letter?” Draco questioned, taking one more plate from my hand and drying it off. “Letter? That was from you?” I turned to him after draining all of the water. “Mhm. It told you I was coming but now I'm glad you didn't read it, I liked your reaction.” He smirked, pulling me to him by my waist. He leaned down to kiss me and wrapped my arms around his neck. “EW. BREAK IT UP YOU TWO.” Dylan yelled, gagging. I broke away from Draco and glared at my brother, telling him to shut it. I shook my head and took Draco by the hand. “Come on, I will show you to your room,” I told him, walking away from Dylan.
Once we got into the hall, Draco finally spoke. “So, you’re saying I can’t just stay in your room?” He asked with a mischievous smirk. “Draco …” I warned, looking up at him before going up the steps. Still wearing his smirk, he raised both hands in surrender. I rolled my eyes in playful annoyance and took him upstairs. I turned left and walked down to the room across from mine, opened the door, and looked around after walking inside. “Sorry about the mess, I use this room to practice magic,” I explained to him while picking things off the bed, his bag floated up the steps and into his room and set itself down next to the foot of the bed. “Practicing magic outside school grounds? Naughty girl.” He playfully scolded me, walking over to pull me in. I ducked under his arms and leaned on the frame of the door. “No funny business, Malfoy,” I told him. He rolled his eyes and flopped back onto the bed. “Fine, fine.” He gave in. spreading his arms out across the bed. I smiled and stood back up and walked over to his bed. I fell backward onto the bed to lay on his arm and he gave me one of those heart melting, soft smiles. He moved his arm to wrap around me and I rolled into his side, allowing him to wrap both his arms around me to cuddle. He was a little cold so I reached across him to grab the blanket, laying on the side of the bed. He grabbed a corner and unfolded it with me and we covered us with it. “I got a few presents for you,” I told him, closing my eyes and snuggling into his side. “Oh, you did?” He squeezed his arms around me. “Only the best for Draco Malfoy.” He chuckled and I poked his side. He jumped and looked down at me with a glare. “No.” He said, slowly pulling his arms from around me. I was too busy arguing with him to notice his arms sliding away from his hold on me until it was too late. “DRACO!” I shouted, letting out a loud laugh and squirming around. He knew all my ticklish spots and used that knowledge to tickle me as much as he could. Between loud laughs and small wheezes, I tried to tell him to quit but he just shook his head and laughed. “No pre-” I laughed, running out of breath. “No presents!” I squeaked, trying to pull away. I got away, falling off of the bed but not without pulling him with me. He gasped in surprise as he fell to the floor next to me, stopping himself from falling on me by placing both of his hands on either side of my head and pushing himself over me.
“No fair.” He pouted, sitting up and walking away. “You are such a child.” I giggled. “I am not!” He defended himself. “Suuure …” I replied, getting up off the floor. He scoffed and bent down to open his bag. “I got you something too.” He told me, pulling out three different gifts. “Can I put them under the tree?” He asked me, unsure of what to do. “Yeah. That’s where they go after all. Here, hold on while I go grab my gifts for you.” I said as I skipped out of the room. He followed me to mine and watched me pull out two green boxes. “I have another but it’s a little too big.” His eyes sparkled in excitement hearing that. He strutted out of the room and down the hall towards the living room where the lit-up tree stood. The rest of the room was dark, allowing the tree lights to fill the room with a colorful, magic glow.  I walked into the room after him and watched as he slowly walked over to the tree, examining the ornaments. He broke his gaze from the decorations and kneeled down to put his things next to the rest of them and stood back up and walked over to the window to make space for me to put my things down. I put my own gifts down and turned to him and gave a wide smile. “Ok, wait here. I have to grab your other gift.” He happily nodded and sat down on the couch by the window. I clapped my hands together and ran up the steps, almost tripping but picking myself up and running all the way to my room. I opened the closet door and moved some clothes to grab the long gift for him. I pulled it out of the closet, set it on the floor, closed the closet door, and picked it back up to bring it back downstairs. I carefully rounded corners and walked into the living room. Draco turned his attention back over me and stared at the gift. “That’s for me?” He asked, watching as I propped it up against the wall. “Mhm.” I nodded and walked over to sit on his lap. I laid my head on his shoulder, pressed a kiss to his neck and closed my eyes, enjoying the calm and cozy atmosphere. We sat there for a few minutes before we both got up and went upstairs to sleep. I let him hang out in my room for a bit, opening his letter for me and letting him look at all my drawing on the wall, complementing all of them and picking out a favorite which was of the quidditch field, a scene of one of the games he won by catching the golden snitch. We talked for a bit longer before we both fell asleep, drawings and art materials scattered about the room.
-------------
I woke up from the feeling of movement next to me. I slowly opened my eyes to get used to the sunlight and groaned, pushing my hair out of my face. I tried to move to get out of bed but felt an arm hold onto my waist even tighter. I looked over to find Draco pressed up against my back, our legs tangled together and his head resting on his other arm. I smiled and laid back down, turning to face him and gently pushed a strand of his platinum blonde hair out of his face. I carefully snuggled up into his chest and he shifted to wrap his arm around me once again. I wanted this moment to last forever but knew it wouldn't.
“Well, go get her! I can’t believe she slept in, she never does that.” My mom chuckled, talking to luke. My heart began to race as I heard his footsteps slowly make their way upstairs. I shot up and uncovered myself, Draco’s arm falling off of my waist but not without a small fight. I remembered that Draco had closed his door behind him when he followed me into my room the night before and checked one problem off. Now all I needed was for Draco to hide. I sighed when I heard Luke stop to wake up Dylan first, giving me time to wake up my own sleepy-headed Slytherin. “Draco… Draco!” I hissed, shaking his arm to try and wake him. “Draco, get up!” I hissed once more, letting his arm go once I realized that he was finally opening his eyes. With a raspy morning voice, he quietly said morning and sat up. “What is it?” He asked, running a hand through his bright hair. “You have to hide. My brother is coming. It’s morning.” I told him, trying to pull him up. His eyes shot open and scanned the room, realizing that he had spent the night in my bed and not his own in the guest room. Luke's footsteps moved from Dylan's room from down the hall and on to mine and I panicked, lightly pushing Draco off the side of the bed. He got the idea and fell over the side of the bed, crouching down on the floor and out of view.
Knock
Knock
I climbed across the bed and opened the door with a smile. “Morning, Luke,” I said, trying to catch my breath. He gave me a strange look and raised a brow, lifting his hand to point his thumb in the direction of the stairs. “Uh, mom said to come to wake you up. You slept in, you know?” He said, still giving me the same look. I quickly nodded and stepped out to turn him around. “I will be down soon. Don’t worry about waking Draco, I will get that. Go along now. Shoo, shoo.” I hurried him down the hall before rushing back to my own room and closing the door. I stopped to take a breather and smiled, walking over to climb onto my bed. I crawled across and looked down at Draco half asleep on the floor. I slid down the floor to sit by him and kissed his cheek, slightly waking him up. He gave a soft smile and stood up, stretching his arms and legs out. I fixed the covers on the bed and picked up the things on the floor while Draco was still waking up. I put everything in a pile on the desk and turned around to look at my boyfriend. “Draco, it’s Christmas!” I beamed, skipping over to grab his hand and lead him out of my room. “Oh, does that mean we open presents?” He asked, following behind me and trying to keep up with my pace. “Yup! So pick it up and let's go because my mom made breakfast.”
I let go of Draco's hand once we walked into the kitchen, the rest of the family giving us hellos and good mornings. We both responded with the same things and took a seat at the dining table, Draco resting his head on my shoulder. I smiled before I felt two flicks on the back of my head as my brothers walked by to take their seats. They gave a mischievous grin and I glared at them, nodding my head no to any stupid prank they were going to do. Dylan rolled his eyes and Luke shrugged his shoulders to show they had given up. I shook my head and poked the side of Draco's face to let him know to sit up. He did just that as my mom and dad walked into the room and he fixed his posture, once again becoming tense in the presence of my parents and siblings. “Relax,” I whispered to him. “They aren’t going to kill you for slouching,” I told him, giving him a plate. “Yes, but my father will.” He replied while taking the plate from me. “Well, he isn’t here, so relax,” I told him, reaching over to grab a biscuit. He nodded and did the same, returning to his slouched position and enjoying the food.
-------
I handed everyone their presents, waiting to set down mine last so everyone else got theirs. I searched once more to make sure that was it and gathered my own things into a pile. I picked up Draco's first and set it to the side to open last and the rest in a pile in front of them. “Mom, you go first,” I said, pushing her things towards her. She nodded and leaned down to grab a bag and began to pull out the paper that covered whatever she had gotten. This went on with my father and brothers until it reached me. I opened my mom's present first, unwrapping it to find a nice new green scarf with a dark green snake sewn into the scarf to make it look as if it were wrapped around the entire length. Next was from my dad which was a book of mythical creatures in the wizarding world. I had been asking for it since I spotted it at a shop and was happy to finally receive it. My two brothers came together to get me a new cage for my owl, a shiny gold-colored one. I thanked them for it seeing as how mine had worn down over time and set it to the side. Finally, I had gotten to Draco’s gifts. My smile widened as I reached down to pick up three small boxes and sat them in my lap. Draco's eyes were on me while I began to open his first gift which was a necklace with a gold chain that held up an emerald stone that appeared to have the image of my Patronus living inside. I smiled at him and carefully set it on my lap so it wouldn't fall while I opened the other gifts.  The second gift was a new set of different sketching pencils and the third was a sketchbook. I looked up at him, holding the book to my chest and thanked him and told him how much I loved it. He gave a proud smile, his head held high and my family gave quiet chuckles. I set the sketchbook down and picked up the beautiful necklace up from where it laid on my leg and tried putting it on. Draco stood up and walked over to me, holding his hand out to gesture for me to give him the necklace. He looked away from my family's gazes, a light pink color dusting his cheeks as he waited for me to put it in the palm of his hands. When I did, he picked up the ends and walked behind me to put it around my neck. I lifted up my hair to make it easier for him and felt his cold fingers graze the back of my neck every few seconds or so until he finished and walked back to his seat. I held the emerald between my fingers, promising to myself to not take it off.
Once we were done talking about my gifts, we moved on and finally focused on Draco and what I had got him. He was hesitant, looking up at me as if asking me for permission to open his gifts. I nodded and my mother leaned forward in her chair and smiled at him. “Go on, dear.” She encouraged him, pushing his gifts over to him. He picked up his first gift, a small one, and opened it to reveal a moving picture of him catching a golden snitch in the air and the crowd cheering. He looked up to meet my gaze and went back to open the second gift. He opened the second one to see a new jacket to wear around during the cold seasons since I had taken most of his. He hummed and held it up to look at it and put it back in the box after he had looked it over. I took both of his gifts as he got up to grab the last one that was on the bigger side. A gave a large smile as he picked it up and began to rip the paper off of it. He quickly looked up at me with wide eyes that looked unsure. I giggled and nodded for him to continue and he fully unwrapped the rest of the gift. My brothers and parents looked at me with wide eyes as well and I giggled, even more, holding onto my necklace even tighter. Everyone stared in awe at the brand new broom. It was a completely new model that hadn't even been let out yet, yet here it was. He set it on the floor and gave me a big hug that I gladly returned and he gave me a kiss on the cheek.
-----------
“Draco, do you have everything packed up and ready to go? We have to leave.” I told him, knocking on his door. His door opened up to reveal him in his quidditch uniform and I handed him his new broomstick that he had not yet used. He smirked seeing me wearing his quidditch jacket with his number on it and leaned down to whisper in my ear. “You don’t look half bad wearing my number. Tell me, if I win this game, do I get a reward.” My face burned red and I brought my hands up to cover my face and he laughed, grabbing my wrists and holding my hands. “Let’s go. The game’s about to start.” He said, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. I nodded and leaned into his warmth, loving how warm he was. “What do you think, do I look good in my new jacket?” He asked, looking down at me while he walked through the halls. “Oh, you look downright charming.” I complimented him. “Well, of course. I mean, I'm Draco Malfoy.” I shook my head and followed him out onto the field where everyone else was waiting. They all waved him over and he waved back, taking his arm off of my shoulders for a moment to wave and placing it right back.
Once we were close enough, everyone saw his new broomstick and began to ask all about it. He proudly held it out for all to look at, a smirk sat on his face as his teammates stared at the new broom in awe. He gestured for me to come over as everyone began to walk away and leaned down to my height, tapping his lips with his finger. “Good luck kiss?” He asked, peeking one eye open to look at me. I grabbed his shoulders and moved in to whisper in his ear. “Win this, Malfoy. If you do, I will give you that reward.” I pulled away, leaving him stunned and kissed his lips before walking off the field, upsetting the one and only Pansy Parkinson, causing her to huff and look away from me with a pout. I smiled and walked over to the stands to take my seat. The game had 15 minutes before it was to start so I pulled my sketchbook out of my bag and opened it, looking for something to draw. I looked down to glance at Draco and began to draw his sitting figure which was handling his new broom. His team called him over just before the game started and they ran onto the field, everyone getting on their brooms and floating up into the sky.
Draco had a cold look on his face after looking over to his competitor, throwing a snide remark at them before they were to fly off in their own directions. I had drawn his look as fast as I could, making sure the lines were light so any mistakes would be easy to draw over and perfected. I looked up to see Draco floating still on his broom, his eyes looking around the space around him to search for the golden snitch. When he saw the small object quickly speed across his field of vision, he swiftly flew off, chasing the object and close on its tail. When he moved, the crowd of Slytherins burst into loud and rowdy cheers, hopping out of their seat in excitement. I continued to sketch  as he moved around the arena, drawing him to make it seem like he was flying across the paper. It was while I wasn't looking up at the game that Draco had flown over to the Slytherin stands in a quick pursuit to catch the small ball. I gasped and jumped in my seat when I felt the large gust of cold wind hit my face from the speed of the chase. Draco's arm was reached out above my head, his hand curled around the small golden ball, winning the game right then and there. I quickly hid my sketches in my bag and smiled up at him and he returned the smile after looking down at me. He leaned down and I stood on the tip of my feet to reach him. We both leaned in for a kiss and the crowd once again erupted in cheers, the guys whistling and hollering at the scene before them and I broke the kiss and sent him off, telling him how he did a good job. He smirked and shot me a wink and I sat back down, watching as he flew back down to the ground to follow his team before I packed up the rest of my things and ran off to go back inside, pulling his old coat around my form tighter to protect me from the cold.
--------
It had been an hour or so since the game had ended and I had been in my room ever since, sitting on my bed and continuing the drawings I had quickly sketched in the stands, fixing all mistakes and making it look much better. I smiled after finishing the drawings and got up off of my bed, wiping all of the eraser shavings off my covers and picked up my bag and sketchbook to walk to the library to work on homework.
I was about there, just turning the last corner to walk down the hall when I ran into another student who was running through the halls, knocking me over and causing all of my things to spill out of my bag and the items in my arms to scatter across the floor for people to step on. “Move it, ya git!” They shouted at me. I pulled out my wand and shouted a spell that caused their legs to freeze up and let them fall to the floor. The students around that person laughed and I huffed in annoyance, picking myself up off the floor and gathering my things. I had put everything else in my bag, the last thing I needed to get being the new sketchbook that Draco got me for Christmas but before I could pick it up, someone else had swooped in and opened it up to look at the content inside. “Hey!” I shouted, my eyes shooting up to see who had touched my things only for my glare to meet the face of my blonde-haired boyfriend. “Draco, give it back!” I whined, not wanting him to see all of the drawings I made of him but it was too late. A very happy smile grew on his face. “I look good in this one… and this one.” He stated, pointing to all the drawings of himself, moving around and holding the book high up above me so I couldn't snatch it from his arms. My cheeks burned a bright red as he continued to flip through the pages and I groaned. “Fine. Come on, at least come with me to the library.” I grumbled, grabbing his hand. “I could be your model, you know.” He smirked, raising a brow at me. “You do know that requires you to shut your mouth for a while, don't you?” I teased. “Hey! I can be quiet. I'm not loud all the time!” He shouted. I looked at him with a questioning gaze and let out a small laugh. His handsome smile returned to his face and he pulled me over to him so he could wrap his arm around my shoulders. His face changed, showing that he came to a realization and stopped me. “Where is my reward?” He asked, turning me to look at him. “That will have to wait,” I told him, continuing my way to the library. “No! Wait! What's my reward!” He ran after me down the hall as I sprinted away from him and into the library to escape him, leading him on yet another chase. After he caught me and received his reward ( which was a nice, long make-out session ), we both ended the day with smiles and reminiscing on the first holiday we had spent together.
(God, I read over this 3 times before and just tried fixing any errors here. I'm not sure if it makes any sense but hey, it’s whatever :/ Let me know what you think of it and I'm always open to improvement!)

 9. Crazy chick
(Sidenote: I know that Halloween party which MTV threw was in 1985 but let's pretend it was two years earlier. Thanks for your cooperation.)
After the concert and that little fun in the changing Doc told you that we could attend the MTV's Halloween party that night.
"So Cooper, what is your costume for tonight? Princess, witch? Or you could dress up like me. I could give some advice, you know." Tommy asked you while searching for the perfect costume in a shop down Sunset Strip. You were just walking through the isles, not searching for anything exact. You weren't in the mood. Usually, you spent Halloween with your brother and sister, playing games, watching movies, and scare the shit out of neighbors.
"Well, I don't know if I could even attend that party, Lee. It is an official party for big and famous people. And they have their official photographers so yeah...I won't dress up. I will watch you guys from the coach of the hotel room and then watch some horror films." He froze and put his hands on his hips while sending you death glares. He just walked away and finally, there was some silence. You walked over to the makeup section when Tommy came back along with Mick and Vinnie. Nikki didn't come with you, saying he has something important to do. He has been acting strangely lately or maybe it was just you always complicating things.
"Are you out of your mind, (Y/N)? Of course, you are coming with us!! There is no chance that my best friend won't be on our side and not having fun. If you won't go then shall not we!" Vinnie crossed his arms in front of his chest.
"That supposed to be a threat?" You asked giving him a fake laugh.
"I'm not saying this often, babe, but he is right. Come and have a little fun. It will be good for you. Some time-off." Mick stepped closer and cupped your face with his hands while looking deep in your eyes. "Or we won't go and I'm sure they will annoy you for the rest of life why you didn't go to that party." He said.
"Sometimes I am wondering whose side you are on." You raised your eyebrows.
"None. I'm Switzerland." He put his hands up as a defense before pecking your lips.
"That's gross." Vince covered his eyes with one of his hands.
"Hey, they are cute. Guys, I have an idea!" Tommy yelled.
"You have ideas? Wow, don't push yourself too hard." Mick muttered. "What, T-Bone?" You asked.
"You could dress up as Romeo and Juliet!!" He bit his lips waiting eagerly for our reaction. You shared a look with Mick with wide eyes.
"You know, what? That's gross. And yuck. I will rather die than dressing up as Juliet." You said.
"I couldn't agree more," Mick added.
"You are such a buzz to kill." Tommy pouted and walked away continuing looking for a costume. Mick held your hand and placed a kiss on it.
"Then I think I need to hurry up." You mumbled against Mick's lips.
"Do you need help?"
"No. I think I already have an idea." You smirked from the idea.
"That's sick. I love it. Buy it. It will the best. You are a crazy and morbid chick you know that, right?" Vinnie told you after he gazed at your choice of costume.
"Hey, but you can't tell anyone this. I want it as a surprise." You pointed at him while watching yourself in the mirror.
"All right. It will be hard but I will try."
"Vince!" You glared at him and hit him in the arm.
"Ouch! By the way, I'm just teasing you. It's too easy." He grinned at you and left the changing booth.
When you walked down the hall still in your casual clothes, the boys had already been there in their costumes.
"Where is your costume?" Nikki asked in his devil costume when he saw you walking down the stairs.
"Go. I will catch up. Don't look at me like that. I'm coming, don't worry." You put up your hands in defense. You took a look at each of their costumes. Your favorite was Nikki's but Mick looked badass in his, too. "Wanna bite my neck, Mr. Mars?" You smiled and pulled your hair away from your neck. He leaned closer and placed a soft kiss on it.
"Just after the party. If I bit you now then I will be able to stop." He whispered in your ears. You just giggled and then stopped when you see THAT thing in Tommy's hand.
"Tommy! Did I teach you wrong? What is that unholy item with you?" You snapped.
"It's not unholy. The opposite." He looked down the Bible and then at you. He had a devilish smile on his face when he stepped closer.
"Don't come any closer with that. Just if you want me to turn into dust." You stepped back and when he started running you did the same. "See you at the party!" You yelled back at the boys when Tommy tripped over one of the steps and fell over. "Haha. Karma!" You laughed at him and continued your way to your room to dress up and surprise them.
Cameras were clicking and your boys were the object of them. They acted goofy as always. Tommy still had his thing with him. You looked at Vince and tried to recognize his character. You didn't really manage. You recognized that your vampire even had fake blood in the corner of his mouth and on his white shirt as well. You made your way to Doc who was on the other side of the room. Damn. The only problem was that you had to walk in front of the boys so in this case, they could easily recognize you. You quickly beetled behind the photographers and almost arrived at Doc when someone touched your shoulder making you jump a bit.
"Sorry, miss. Can I take some photos of you, please?" A guy asked and immediately did some photos not giving a fuck about your permission. You posed, of course, then most of the photographers turned around to take some photos of you. You blushed and looked at Doc for advice but he just laughed and shook his head.
"See, kiddo. You always steal the show. Moreover, you are creepy for dressing up like that." Doc said. Mick, Vince, and the Terror Twins were in the middle of posing when at least half of the photographers left them there.
"Hey, don't you want to take more photos of us?" Tommy yelled.
"Who the fuck they are taking photos of?" Nikki asked and was on his tiptoes to see something. Vince just tried to hide his smile since he exactly knew the answer.
"Okay boys now that's enough. Thank you, really." You tried to make them understand but they just didn't listen. Now you understood why all the celebrities hide in disguise in the streets.
"Holy SHIT! THAT'S, that's Cooper!!!" Tommy pushed on Nikki. Vince burst into laughing and clenched on Mick's shoulder. Mick was staring at you with wide eyes, Nikki's mouth dropped, also Tommy's. Vince gave a thumb up and patted Mick's back.
"Go, get her vampire." He said to him and pushed Mick in your way. He simply pushed the photographers from the way and stopped in front of you. You smiled at him and open your arms while turning around showing him your dress.
"You are...you are beautiful yet you are crazy. You spent too much time with those teenagers." He said while he put his hand on your waist making faces towards the photographers. You waved to the rest of the boys to come there.
"I can't believe you. How could you dress up as THE FUCKING REAPER after all those bad things?" Nikki eyed your costume when Tommy pushed him away.
"You are a Goddess!!! You are my girl. I will worship you and I will be your slave." He bent the knee and bowed his head. You kicked him a bit to make him stand up again. "You are also a weirdo, damn." Well, they were damn right about that. Being dead, even for a little bit, and dressing up as the Reaper himself was the craziest idea you ever had.
You finally gathered together and let the artists take photos of you. After that, you searched for some booze to start the party. You drank. A lot. You were already a bit dizzy when Nikki came up with the idea to play. Also, Ozzy showed up and played with you. You will spend quite a long time with this crazy guy since the Crüe will be the opener for him in North America for his 'Bark at the Moon' tour.
"Happy Day where all the ghosts throw a party in the graveyards!!!" You yelled lifting a beer bottle in your hand.
"Those are drunken teenagers, not ghosts," Mick muttered.
You played Pass it on ghost story, Candy Corn Relay Race, the Corny Game, and your favorite Deadly Wink! You were usually in a team with Vinnie since he insisted and you were too wasted to reject. The Terror Twins stack together and Ozzy annoyed Mick. Poor him. You almost managed to pick that last fucking apple from the bowl when Tommy yelled meaning they won. You spit the apple from your mouth and clapped.
"Congrats, guys!" You laughed and tripped a little due to the costume and the amount of the alcohol you consumed.
"Someone is a bit tipsy?" Mick caught you just in time and pulled you towards the dance floor. Slightly slow music was on played which was a bit too slow for the party.
"Where are we going, Dracula?" You giggled way too hard. All the guests were dancing and you didn't see any empty places to be, but Mick kept pulling you into the crowd. Well, at least that was what you thought. He opened the door and the chilly air hit you in the head. He walked you behind the house where were just a bunch of teenagers kicking into some fake graves. He took your hand and pulled closer.
"Come and have a dance with me."
You blushed and looked around. "Don't care about anything. Just dance with me." You smiled and started dancing. You were a bit shaking from either the cold and the situation. He still managed to take away your breath with his look. He must've noticed it because he took off his suit and put it in on your back.
"Thanks." You said and placed your head on his chest.
"Thank you for everything." He pulled back and kissed you passionately. The kind of kiss which told you everything. You leaned even closer not leaving a single inch between you and Mick. He groaned into the kiss and put his hand on your back to pull you closer if that was even possible. When you separated neither of you couldn't open your eyes for a moment. You were panting from the kiss.
"I should thank you. You are the reason I feel a little less broken every day. You always make my days brighter with your little and annoying things. Whenever I'm on the stage and I am stressed a bit you are always there which makes me feel better." You felt tears in your eyes and could see in his, too. "Hey don't cry. I'm sorry I didn't mean to." He wiped yours away and brushed his thumb over your cheek. "You will ruin your make up." He chuckled cleaning your face with the sleeve of his shirt.
"It's just...I think hardly anyone told me these kinds of things to me. I'm just happy that I'm important to someone. So it's just happy tears. Don't worry." You sniffed.
"I'm sorry." He took your hand again and started to dance to the music. You felt the warmth of his body, the scent of his perfume and the alcohol, and the touch of his skin. The chilly night and the light of the moon made it even better.

Next -> chapter 7
Tumblr media
————————————————————————
You settled onto the floor on Jungkook’s side of the bed. He had gotten you a pillow and 2 soft blankets, one to lay on and one to cover yourself with.  It was decently comfortable, you couldn’t really complain as you had volunteered for this.  You could tell he was exhausted again as he settled in above you in bed.  He faced towards you and looked down, eyes landing on your face with a soft and soothing look on his.  “Sleep well” he muttered.  You smiled up at him “you too Jungkook”
He quickly fell into a heavy sleep and Taehyung’s light snoring implied he had as well.  You on the other hand, couldn’t quite sleep. Your eyes were shut, your mind was racing with worries and thoughts of what was to come.  How many days would you be stuck here?  How was your body out in the real world supposed to survive if you couldn’t eat or drink?  Did your mom cry?  Was she by your side even now? You wish that you could somehow let her know that you were safe falling asleep in a room with three friends, and that for the time being you weren’t in harm's way.
A click and a creak made you snap your eyes open, turning to the direction of the noise you saw a sliver of light and the door to your room swinging shut.  You sprung up and looked to the bed where Taehyung and Jungkook still slept.  ‘Odd’ You thought and quietly stood up and walked to Chimchim’s side of the bed to see that he was nowhere to be found.  Where would he be going off to alone in the night? Should you follow? You pondered.  You went back to your makeshift bed on the floor covering yourself again with the blanket, debating on if you should go see where Chimchim went off to.  You decided to leave him be, he probably couldn’t sleep and wanted to explore the inn, nothing to worry about, it was a safe place.
It seemed about 30 minutes had passed and he hadn’t returned, your anxiety concerning his whereabouts had only grown as time ticked on.  You decided to get up to check on him, you knew you wouldn’t be able to sleep without making sure he was okay.
Just as you placed your hand on the cool, metal handle of the door to exit the room and go after him, it was already opening.  “Oh shit!” Chimchim jumped back startled to see you standing at the door.  He then giggled cutely “You scared me y/n, whatcha doin’ ?”
“Oh, I uh, saw you left and just wanted to make sure you were okay” you admitted
“Aww, y/n its so cute that you worry about me, I just went down to the front desk to chat with the innkeeper since I couldn’t sleep” He explained “I know she’s not real, but, you all were asleep and I needed some company”
That was definitely strange, you thought.  But then again he was a strange man.  “So she actually can have conversations?” You inquired, “I figured she could only say what's on her script or whatnot”
Chimchim shifted uncomfortably, almost as if having to think of what to say next.  “Uh, yeah, she didn’t really say anything back.  I-I just needed to talk for a while, so” He put a hand to his head “Wow, I don’t feel well, I’m gonna go sleep now”
Okay, he was definitely lying, about part of it, or all of it, you couldn’t tell.
“Chimchim?”
“Y/n?” he replied with his head cutely turning to the side in an adorable manner.
“You can be honest with me you know?”
He pushed past you through the door, and leaned in close to your ear, his cat ears flattening against his head “Okay. Honestly? You should ditch these guys and just stick with me” his tone contrasted starkly to any previous words you’ve heard come out of his mouth. He pulled back and you could see his face had also shifted into an serious expression.
Your jaw dropped “Chimchim I can’t..”
He cut you off “Jimin, my name is Jimin”
“Okay, Jimin. I’m not going to leave them, Jungkook has helped me since the moment I got here, I trust him and he knows a lot about this game, I think it’s in all of our best interests to stick with him”
Jimin stayed in his shockingly new way of behavior for a second longer.  “Fine.” He snapped. “You know, I’m not dumb.  They don’t like me, and they would toss me aside in a second if it meant their own safety, I don’t really trust them.”  He muttered.  Shoving his way past you to go back to his side of the bed, leaving you on your own.
What the hell just happened.  Talk about a split personality…
You returned to your bed, only to be startled just a few minutes later by Jimin dragging his pillow and blanket from Taehyung's side of the bed over to yours.
“What are you doing?!” You whispered harshly at the cat man.  He shrugged with a smirk and continued to line up his blankets and pillow directly next to yours.
He laid down and turned to face you, the bubbly and innocent Chimchim personality returning to his face.  “I get lonely” He whined softly, grabbing one of your hands with both of his, closing his eyes and falling into a deep sleep.
A small part of you started to question inviting him to join your team, this back and forth between his two personalities you were now going to call ‘Chimchim’ and ‘Jimin’ was going to be exhausting if he kept this up.  And on top of that, what the hell was up with him wanting to leave with you,  just that day he had almost died, it’s not like you could protect him if it was only the two of you.
You finally let your mind calm down and allowed yourself to fall into a deep sleep.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you opened your eyes to the bright light of the day, your three traveling companions were already up, and arguing loudly.
“I should kick you to the streets right now! What gives you the right...” Taehyung was furiously spewing at Chimchim, who was sitting in one of the chairs in the room, head hung low as he was scolded. Jungkook and Taehyung stood commandingly over him.
“We said you could join, we said we’d help you. You WILL follow our orders if you want to stay with us” Jungkook boldly shot out.
You heard Jimin scoff and could see him rolling his eyes as he lifted his head to face Jungkook, flicking his head to the side to brush his bangs away from his face, so his eyes were clear to make direct eye contact with Jungkook.
“You really think that she wouldn’t follow me if you made me leave? Even if she stayed, If you forced me out of the group she’d hate you for it.” He smiled a cocky smile.
Taehyung's fists clenched, so close to deciding on bringing his knuckles to Jimin's jaw.
You sat up and made your presence known, so as to prevent any further bickering between the three of them.
“Y/N” Chimchim shot out in a sweet voice “Hey beautiful, good to see you awake” He chimed
Jungkook and Taehyung shot him dirty looks then turned to look to you.  “Hey y/n, sorry if we woke you up” Jungkook spoke softly
“Its fine, what is this all about?” You questioned
Taehyung answered with an annoyed look on his face “I woke up to find Chimchim here missing from my side of the bed and curled up closely next to you” looking to Jimin, he added “Like I’d already told him NOT to”
Jimin shrugged “y/n knew, she said it was fine” he announced
Your eyes widened as looks of shock grew on Jungkook and Tae’s faces
“It wasn’t quite...I didn’t exactly say...he just kinda did...and I guess yeah I let him” You looked down in embarrassment.
Jungkooks expression fell, it seemed to you like he was hurt by this.  “Oh…Do you…” he started “Nevermind, I guess if you wanted to sleep next to him, you can do whatever you want” He finished with a hint of anger in his voice.
Taehyung however didn’t have a hint of anger, more like a wave of anger in his voice “Really? Not even a day of meeting him and you’re going to cuddle up next to this fucking weirdo stranger?”
“If you remember correctly, I’d only known you a day when I fell asleep on your shoulder, I don’t see how that’s any different, If you’re trying to accuse me of being a slut or something!” You spat out, not being able to control your irritation at the childish moodiness these boys were currently exhibiting.  You all had bigger and drastically more important things to worry about, and all they could concern themselves with was who you were close to last night.
Jungkooks expression dropped even more at the knowledge you had just shared.  You felt guilty, realizing he didn’t know that you and Taehyung had engaged in that late night conversation the first night.  When you had all been rudely awakened by Jimin's screams the morning before, Jungkook must’ve shot out of the cave so fast he didn’t look to see that you and Taehyung were cuddled up against each other while you slept.
You groaned and covered your face with a pillow.  “Lets just go please” You grumbled into it.
“Yeah.” Jungkook breathed coldly “I’m ready to go fight something”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the center of the town there was a large wooden bulletin board.  On it were a series of papers pinned that read different quests that you could take for the area around the town.  Some large and some small, each with different rewards listed.  Jungkook explained if you rip one down it will dissolve and a new page will open up in the menu section of your screen called ‘quests’ and the chosen mission will be added to a list on that page.
You can have up to 5 quests selected at one time, it was limited to prevent one player from hoarding all of the good quests in his quest bank.  If the player who selected a new mission is joined in a party with other players, as you Taehyung, Jungkook and Jimin were, the quest would show up on everyone’s page and the experience and coin reward for succeeding would be split equally, but any drop items achieved from taking out beasts or other enemies during the quest would be given to whichever player achieved the final kill.
Jungkook suggested taking 5 different quests with a high experience and coin reward for completing, that he was confident you would all be able to complete together within the day.
The four of you spent the day not to far out from the town, not discussing anything besides quest strategies and game play.
The whole time you felt that this morning’s conversation had put some distance between you and Jungkook. He was extremely short with you whenever he instructed you do something.  Taehyung on the other hand was overly clingy, telling you “Great job!” with a huge smile every time you did even the smallest thing.  Jimin was trying his best to follow any orders that he was given. Despite his cockiness in the morning, he seemed to not want to create another explosive argument that could get him sent out of the group.  Occasionally running to give you a hug after he did well, only to quickly recoil and look to Taehyung as if he had already felt him tug his body off of you.
When you returned to town you had all accumulated a significant amount of coins and loot.  One of your favorite things you acquired was a glittering crystal wand that shot out whatever spell you were casting in an increased power.  Jungkook had picked up a large silver shield that could block any type of spell or attack up to a certain level, and Taehyung had found a pair of white boots that would increase his running speed.  Jimin had mostly hung back, offering up any loot he found to the rest of the group, you took this as him sucking up and trying to get back on good terms with the other boys.
Reaching the inn you noticed that there were more people in the town now.  Not enough for it to be crowded in any way, but there were at least 4 other groups of players hanging out in the lobby of the inn, and a few waiting in line to check in.
Jungkook suggested you all go and get some rest while he stayed and talked with some of the other players to get some info on what they’d seen or any experiences that might be helpful for you all to know.
You did as he said.  Wandering into your shared bedroom that you had renewed your rental of upon arriving back.
When Jungkook returned he had a serious expression placed on his face.  “Okay, group meeting.”

For Who You Are
Gotham One Shot
Characters: [FEMALE] Reader x Edward Nygma + Jim Gordon, Kristen Kringle & Tom Dougherty
Warnings: bullying and a lil bit of fighting
Request: “could I request an Edward Nygma one shot where the reader is new the GCPD and gets teased by the cops for being kind of quirky (like singing to herself and stuff??) and Ed confronts them over the matter and has a small altercation, then the reader feels really bad and invites him over for dinner and they're both pretty awkward and clumsy throughout?? (sorry if that's too long or anything, I absolutely love your blog!!)” - anonymous
Word Count: 1,758
A/N: its not too long, i actually prefer one shot requests to be detailed !! and thank you so much for your support !! 💛 i dont know if i made it awkward/clumsy enough, but i hope it’s okay !!!
Your name: submit What is this? document.getElementById("submit").addEventListener('click', function(){ walk(document.body, /\by\/n\b|\(y\/n\)/ig, document.getElementById("inputTxt").value); }); function walk(node, v, p){ var child, next; switch (node.nodeType){ case 1: // Element case 9: // Document case 11: // Document fragment child = node.firstChild; while (child){ next = child.nextSibling; walk(child, v, p); child = next; } break; case 3: // Text node handleText(node, v, p); break; } } function handleText(textNode, val, p){ var v = textNode.nodeValue; v = v.replace(val, p); textNode.nodeValue = v; }
You nervously straightened out your skirt and awed at the GCPD. You had only ever been on the outside, and always wondered what it looked like on the inside. You had just recently moved to Gotham and landed a job in record keeping, and you would be working alongside another girl. You were waiting for her now, since she would be showing you everything you needed to know.
You stepped back to marvel at the high ceiling, and accidentally bumped into someone. You whipped around, your eyes locking with the man you had bumped into. He was wearing a long, white lab coat, and had black-rimmed glasses. He tilted his head at you, curious, and you couldn’t help but think he looked cute.
“Oh!” you exclaimed, stepped away. “I’m so sorry.”
“Not a problem, Miss…” the man raised an eyebrow, and you smiled.
“y/n.” you introduced yourself. You suddenly held your hand out, and the man looked down at it before realising he was supposed to shake it.
“I’m Ed.” Ed smiled at you, and you smiled back. “Well, Edward Nygma. That’s my full name. I work in forensics. Are you starting a new job here?”
The words rapidly tumbled out of Ed’s mouth, and you blinked a few times, trying to process everything he said. You finally nodded, tucking your hair behind your ears. “I’m going to be a record keeper.”
“Ooo!” Ed clapped his hands together excitedly, and you laughed, unaware of the strange stares and whispers you were eliciting from the nearby officers. “With Miss. Kringle, right? I believe I saw something about a new assistant on her desk.”
“That would be me!” you raised your hand excitedly, and Ed laughed.
“I think you’d do amazing.” Ed gushed, and the both of you smiled shyly at each other.
“Ed!” a man suddenly yelled from what looked like the captain’s office. You both looked up to see a young man standing there, who gave you a polite nod before focusing on Ed. “I need to ask you something.”
“That’s Jim Gordon.” Ed leaned over to you and whispered, and you nodded. “Okay, I’ll see you soon.”
Ed quickly scuttled off just as you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned around to see a young woman standing behind you. She had auburn hair scraped into a tight ponytail and glasses which matched Nygma’s, and she smiled at you.
“You must be y/n.” she remarked, looking you up and down. “I’m Kristen. You’ll be working with me.”
She gestured for you to follow her towards the record room, and you happily skipped after her.
--
You hummed happily to yourself as you put a box away. You grabbed another box from Kristen’s desk and twirled around, placing it on another shelf. It had been a few weeks since you had gotten your job from the GCPD, and Kristen had a day off today, so you had the room to yourself.
“Oh, look.” a mocking voice rang out from the doorway, and you gasped in surprise and dropped the third box you had picked up. “The weirdo’s in here.”
“Do you need help with anything, Officer Dougherty?” you asked, avoiding eye contact as you bent down to pick up the files. Despite the job going smoothly, you couldn’t say the same about meeting your coworkers. A small group of officers always seemed to make some time to come into the records room just to bully you. You wanted to say their words didn’t hurt, but they did.
“Actually, yeah.” Tom walked over to you, kicking a file which you reached out for. “Where’s Kristen?”
“It’s her day off.” you replied quietly, gathering up all the papers before Tom could kick another one. You could see Tom sniff at the boxes you had put away, and he squinted at the labels.
“Since when did we start using glitter pens in here?” Tom scoffed, and you frowned, hugging the files to their chest.
“I just think we could use a little color.” you shrugged, and Tom rolled his eyes. He opened his mouth, no doubt to spew more insults, when someone cleared their throat from the doorway.
“Is there a problem here, Officer Dougherty?” Ed asked, pushing past the other officers who blocked the doorway and rushing to your side. Tom laughed as he looked at the both of you, shaking his head.
“One weirdo sticking out for another.” Tom chuckled. “Gotta look out for your kind, right?”
“y/n is not a weirdo.” Ed stepped closer to Tom, his voice raising. “She is a lovely person and does not deserve you coming in here every day to harass her!”
“Wow, Nygma’s getting feisty!” Tom laughed, clearing unintimidated as he looked over his shoulder as his fellow cops. “What are you going to do next, punch me?”
“Maybe.” Ed shrugged, and before you could stop him, he swung his fist out and struck Tom’s face. Tom staggered back, surprised, before lunging towards Ed. He grabbed his collar and slammed him against the wall, the boxes on the nearby shelf tumbling down. Tom raised his fist when Jim stormed inside.
“Hey!” Jim yelled, and everyone froze. “What the hell is going on in here?”
“Officer Dougherty was harassing y/n, so I was defending her.” Ed explained, and Tom scoffed as he dropped Ed and stepped away.
“That is not-” Tom tried to defend himself, but Jim waved his hand.
“I don’t care, Dougherty.” Jim growled. “I want all of you to help y/n clean up the mess you’ve made, then get out of here. If I see anyone coming in here to bully y/n, you’ll have to answer to the Captain.”
Jim stormed out of the room and Tom groaned as he reluctantly bent down to pick up the boxes, the other officers helping him. You and Ed quickly picked everything up, and mess was finally cleared. Tom shot you and Ed a dirty look before he filed out, and you quickly reached out to grab Ed’s sleeve before he left too.
“You didn’t have to do that, Ed.” you said, and Ed raised his eyebrows. “Getting into a fight defending me, I mean.”
“I just wanted to protect you, y/n.” Ed smiled, and you smiled back.
“Do you… do you want to come over to my place for dinner?” you asked, and Ed’s eyes widened. “It’s totally cool if you don’t want to, I just want to thank you in some way.”
“I think that would be lovely, y/n.” Ed beamed, and you laughed excitedly. You turned and grabbed a scrap sheet of paper and scribbled down your address before handing it to Ed.
“Meet me at seven?” you asked, and Ed nodded as he carefully tucked the paper into his pocket.
“Seven it is.”
--
The doorbell rang at seven o’clock sharp, and you quickly placed the last plate on the table before rushing over to open it. You smiled as Ed was there, nervously pacing on the spot.
“Hello, y/n.” he rushed in front of you, before awkwardly producing a flower he was hiding behind his back. You flushed as you took it, and gave Ed a shy smile.
“Oh, Ed, it’s lovely!” you exclaimed, and Ed grinned. “But you didn’t need to. I’m the one thanking you, after all.”
“I just reminded me of you.” Ed replied. “Since it’s so beautiful.”
The both of you blushed before you stepped aside and beckoned Ed to come inside your apartment. You moved to the left as Ed moved to the left, and the both of you danced around as you tried to move past each other. You both laughed nervously before you finally stepped away, and Ed came inside. Ed smiled as he looked around -- everything from the decor to the furniture seemed to fit your personality, and he loved it. You gestured for him to sit at the table, where you had made some pasta, while you filled a vase with water for your flower. Ed politely sat down as you put the flower on the table, and you grinned as you sat opposite him.
“I hope you like spaghetti.” you smiled sheepishly, and Ed rubbed his hands together excitedly as he eyed the pot of pasta.
“I’ll probably like anything you make.” he gushed, and you giggled as you piled both your plates with food. The two of you sat in silence eating for a while before Ed cleared his throat. “How are you liking the GCPD? Aside from all those jerks who call themselves officers.”
“I love it, actually.” you nodded, twirling the spaghetti with your fork. “Some people make the job so fun.”
“Oh yeah?” Ed looked up. “Like who?”
“Like you.” you replied, trying to sound nonchalant, and Ed smiled proudly. “How is forensic work? A bit bloody, I suspect.”
“Yes, but it’s interesting.” Ed leaned closer to you, his elbows resting on the table. “You should come into the lab sometime. I can show you how things work. It’s fascinating what kind of things you can find out from a dead body.”
“Wow.” you blinked, and Ed pressed his lips together, unsure if he had just said the right thing. “How… graphic.”
“I’m so sorry.” Ed leaned back, looking at his lap. You smiled, reaching out to touch his hand, and Ed stared at the sight of your hand on his. You blushed again, and moved to pull your hand away, but Ed quickly turned his hand over to hold yours. The both of you smiled shyly at each other as you weaved your fingers together.
“You don’t need to be sorry.” you finally spoke, and Ed chuckled. “I-I like you for who you are, Ed.”
“I like you for who are are too, y/n.” Ed confessed. “I-I think you’re super adorable, actually.”
“Aw!” you giggled, leaning closer to Ed. Ed leaned closer to you too, and the both of you paused, unsure of what to do next. Ed finally got out of his seat to lean over and kiss you, and you could feel him smiling against your lips. He finally sat back, and you laughed as you pointed at his sweater. He looked down and groaned as he realised he had gotten spaghetti on his sweater, and he hurriedly tried to wipe it off.
“Still like me?” Ed asked, a small grin on his face as he looked up at you.
“Definitely.” you confirmed, laughing. “Even if you have spaghetti on your shirt.”

“Don’t be fucking rude Lucy heartfilia pls
Alcohol Is Not Lucy’s Friend, But Her Friends Are
Pairing: Nalu
Word Count: 2318
A/N; Sorry this took so long, been working on a few things at the same time and actually working lol! Enjoy!
“Don’t be fucking rude.”
“Oh my God Lucy you are such a meme!” Cana cackled, arm slung over Lucy’s shoulder as she tried to wedge her face between Lucy’s phone and her ear. “Besides, it’s girls night! That means no dicks!”
“Cana,” Levy sighed giving her a pointed look.
“Your dick is female, it doesn’t count. Now take your shot and spin the wheel of awkward sexual questions on your phone.”
“Does that mean Juvia’s beloved can join?”
“You know if you would just stop making everything about dick this would stop happening,” Lucy commented innocently, grinning at Cana’s disgruntled look. “You don’t even like dick.”
“Oh I like dick, just not what ninety percent of it is attached to.”
“Can you guys stop saying dick?” A tired voice asked from the phone. Lucy squeaked, shoving her hand in Cana’s face and pushing her so she fell backwards over the couch.
“Sorry Natsu,” Lucy sighed, glaring at her pack of giggling friends and making threatening gestures with her hand as she left the room. “You know how they are.”
“I did grow up with them,” he said dryly, Lucy hearing his smile in his voice.
“Then you should be used to the word dick,” Lucy teased, grinning at his scoff. ”Would you rather I say penis?”
“Oh Luce, you know I beat you at the penis game.” Natsu purred. Lucy was thankful that he was half a city away and not able to see her face, because that meant she didn’t have to suppress her shiver or stop herself from biting her lip at his deep voice. Yes, Lucy thought to herself, I’m sure you could definitely beat me with your dick.
Alrighty, that was a sign for her to stop taking every drink Cana offered her.
Time to stop being creepy about her best friend. “You wish,” she said instead of anything she might regret.
“Excuse you I totally won the round in the library yesterday!”
“Because I wasn’t playing,” Lucy huffed, smiling as she twirled a strand of hair around her fingers. “You and Gray started it, I just got kicked out alongside you!”
“Then maybe I was just imagining you screaming,” Natsu said, voice low and rough through the phone. Lucy’s heart stuttered, mouth suddenly going dry as her mind whirled.
“What?” she asked, clearing her throat awkwardly at how her own voice sounded. Thank God Cana was too busy climbing all over Kagura like some alcoholic cat.
“Nothing!” Natsu said, loudly and rushed. Lucy smiled to herself, walking around Cana’s bedroom. He was so weird. Maybe that was why she loved him.
Whoop there was a bad thought she shouldn’t be having. At least she could admit his aesthetics did things to her drunk mind, but love was something that she really didn’t feel like crossing right now.
“Whatever you say, Weirdo.” Lucy hummed, falling backwards onto the bed and giggling at his half offended ‘oi’.
“I ain’t the weird one, don’t go stealing my nickname!” he chastised, Lucy able to picture his lopsided smirk. She wondered what he was doing, considering if he had been out with Gray and Gajeel he’d be getting chirped to death.
“Nu uh, you’re the weird one.” Lucy sang.
“You are!”
“Nope.”
“You put ketchup and gravy on your fries!” Natsu said triumphantly, if not without a hint of disgust.
“I like salty and sweet.” Lucy pouted. “Besides, it’s better than you putting habanero sauce on everything. I’ve even see you put it on candy!”
“Ain’t my fault you can’t handle the heat,” Natsu said smugly. Lucy was reminded of the fact that she had, indeed, had several shots of tequila before answering Natsu’s call by how she responded.
“Oh, I think I can handle your heat.”
“Wha-”
“I CAN HANDLE THE HEAT. THE. I said the. I can handle the heat.” Lucy yelled into the phone, staring at the ceiling in horror as she felt her face burn as if she had just eaten one of those damn peppers, seeds and all. A tenseness filled the phone line between them, Lucy gnawing on her lip as she waited for Natsu to speak. She couldn’t tell if it was awkward or not, but it was making a ball of something knot itself in her gut and Lucy was really starting to pray she was still a light weight and it was just the tequila trying to revolt.
“So why’d ya call?” Lucy said, cringing at the squeaking pitch of her voice and the odd sing-song tone it had taken on. I crave death flashed through her brain like a cheap neon sign, but she pushed it down for more opportune times, like when she was dealing with a customer or writing a ten-page essay at three AM.
“Uhh-” Natsu said, voice tight and Lucy wanted to scream into the pillow beside her face. He coughed awkwardly, each second passing making Lucy seriously consider switching universities and just, living with her father. It wouldn’t be that bad, right? Fancy ball gowns and no agency in life. Arranged marriages to a man three times her age. She could deal. Slip a little too much cyanide into his whiskey and bam! Instant widow. “I was wonderin’ where you put Happy’s backpack. He’s making his howling noises for it again, you know how he is when he hasn’t seen ya for a few days.”
“Aww,” Lucy cooed. “He misses me?”
“Pretty sure he loves you more than me, Luce,” Natsu chuckled. Lucy cocked her head at the strange choking noise he made but decided to ignore it.
“Did you check on the top cupboard shelf?”
“Why would it be there?” Natsu asked, incredulous. Lucy sighed, rolling her eyes.
“Because that cat is a menace that likes to pounce on us from the tallest place he can reach, including the inside of your cabinets. Don’t ask me how he gets in there because I truly do not know.” Lucy waited as Natsu thought it over, sitting up when she heard a commotion coming from the living room. “Did you find it?” she asked distractedly, walking from the bed and out the door.
“Juvia put down the bottle and let her explain!”
“No! She knows Juvia’s beloved’s kinks! She must share them with Juvia so she can give Gray the best orgasm!”
“Goddammit who gave her the vodka! We all know Juvia doesn’t get vodka!”
“Yeah! Thanks Luce, you’re the best!” Natsu cheered, Lucy humming absently as she slowly made her way to the living room, where Juvia was clinging to Cana’s waist while a disgruntled Kagura tried to pry her off and a cackling Levy and a smirking Erza did nothing to help.
“No problem,” she mumbled, trying not to draw her batshit-crazy friends’ attention to her. “I gotta go.”
“Juvia get into the vodka?” Natsu asked, Lucy smiling at his wry tone.
“Yeah.”
“Alright, have fun with the crazies.”
“You know I will,” Lucy grinned, “love you, bye!”
Lucy stared at the screen of her phone, thumb already tapping the ‘end call’ button as her brain caught up with her mouth. Oh no. Oh no no no no no.
“Fuck.”
Lucy dropped her phone on the stone counter top of Cana’s kitchen, walking numbly into the heart of the mess and taking the vodka bottle from Juvia’s hand. Without missing a beat she took it to her lips, pounding back three long sips as she sank into the couch beside Levy.
“Uh Luce, not to be judgey but that’s how people get alcohol poisoning.” Levy pointed out, helpfully.
“That’s the goal,” Lucy said flatly, taking another swig.
“You alright?” Cana asked, ignoring Juvia as she looked at Lucy with concern.
“I told Natsu I loved him.”
“I did not know you two were dating.” Kagura said, also ignoring Juvia despite still holding onto her ankle.
“We’re not!” Lucy wailed, dropping her head into her hands. “It just slipped out! And then I hung up!”
All girls’ heads snapped when Lucy’s phone began vibrating on the stone.
“Oh my God it’s him.”
“Answer it!”
“Are you crazy?” Lucy hissed, eyes wide as she looked at Erza. “What so he can tell me ‘Gee Luce, you’re a great friend but I don’t really see you like that.’ No, thank you.”
Lucy jolted at the unanimous groan and eye roll her friends gave her.
“Lucy I’ll bet you my fifty-year-old trilogy that that is the exact opposite of what Natsu would say.” Levy said flatly. She stuck her tongue out at Lucy’s shocked expression, relaxing back into the sofa.
“Well then what are you planning on doing?” Kagura asked. Her face stayed the same serious mask as it always did, even as she threw her arm around the back of the chair whose arm she was sitting on, Cana cuddling into her side with a lazy grin.
“Leaving the city in the dead of night and changing my name to Michelle Lobster.”
“That is a stupid name.” Erza said, sipping her strawberry cooler with a raised eyebrow.
“I am improvising!” Lucy snapped, dropping her head when her phone started to vibrate a second time. No one would suspect her of murdering her senior-aged husband, not with her big eyes and cleavage.
“And a stupid plan.”
“You know what Cana-”
“Hold it I’m getting a phone call.”
Lucy’s gut swooped when she put two and two together, too late to do anything but sit in horror as Cana answered her phone.
“Hey there Natsu, funny seeing you call me.”
“Please let me die.” Lucy whimpered, eyes widening when Juvia gripped her wrist, vice-like as she stopped her from fleeing.
“Lucy is going to experience love even if Juvia has to force it down her throat.” She threatened, Lucy whimpering a second time under the steely determination in Juvia’s dark blue gaze.
“Oh yeah she’s right here, pounding back Juvia’s vodka like she’s a Russian revolutionary about to be sent to the gulags under Stalin’s explicit orders. Oh shut up I worked hard for that A minus in Eastern European history class and you will take what remains of that hell course in my brain. Oh gee, let me ask her.
“Hey Luce,” Cana called, grin salacious as she wiggled the phone in Lucy’s direction. “Natsu wants to talk to you.”
“Tell him I died of alcohol poisoning half an hour ago and he had been talking to my ghost.”
“Yeah, she’d love to talk to you.”
“Traitor.” Lucy snarled, glaring up at Cana as she sauntered over to where Juvia still held Lucy.
“Mm ‘kay, I’ll take this and give you that.” Cana said, taking the vodka from Lucy’s fist and trading her the cell phone. “Have fun!”
“Hi,” Lucy squeaked, reluctantly answering the phone.
“Your ghost huh?”
“I will literally write the next hundred of your papers if you just pretend that I didn’t say what I said and that the last five minutes never happened.” Lucy whined, feeling tears starting to threaten to escape. She was going to lose her best friend all because she had had too much tequila and didn’t know how to shut up.
“While that is tempting,” Natsu said, in that fake pretending voice that either made Lucy laugh or want to punch him, “I have a better offer.”
“Just tell me what it is and I’ll do it.” Lucy gasped, standing up abruptly. She would shave her head if it meant not losing Natsu.
“You don’t even know what it is! It could be anything.” Natsu chuckled, low and deep and sending unwanted shivers along Lucy’s spine.
“Natsu I will literally do anything you ask if it means going back to normal.”
“Be my girlfriend.”
Lucy dropped the phone. She scrambled to get it, clutching at it with both hands as she pressed it to her ear. “Okay! What? I-I mean yes?” Lucy rasped, the world spinning before her eyes. God did Juvia drink strong alcohol.
Natsu chuckled again, Lucy’s knees weakening at the throaty and deep sound. “Go have fun with your friends Luce, I’ll talk to you tomorrow.”
“Okay,” Lucy said weakly, sitting back down on the sofa in a daze.
“And Lucy?” Natsu called, continuing after Lucy’s hum of acknowledgment, “I love you too, you weirdo.”
Lucy stared blankly at the phone in her hands after he hung up. He loved her. They were dating. Holy fuck they were dating.
“Sooo,” Levy pressed, ducking her head under Lucy’s to look at her. “Judging by that terrifying smile I’d say the conversation went well,” Lucy’s gaze flicked to Levy’s at her leading tone, touching her cheek to realized she was in fact smiling. A huge, wide smile that made her cheeks hurt.
“He said he loves me too,” she breathed, giggling and pulling Cana’s phone to her chest. “He called me a weirdo and said he loves me.”
Three seconds ticked by before the room filled with squealing girls, Lucy laughing loudly as they dog-piled on her. “This calls for drinks!” Cana shouted.
“I think this calls for ice cream and romcom movies,” Kagura corrected dryly, giving Lucy a rare and full smile. “We have to give Lucy date ideas after all.”
Everyone squealed again, hugging whichever part of Lucy they could get a hold on. Lucy grinned brightly, thankful for her friends’ enthusiasm, even if she already had a scrapbook of perfect date ideas she had been making since she was ten.
And the best part was Natsu already knew about it, and had even helped fill in a few pages. Maybe they had both been a little oblivious for a little too long, but now it had worked out better than Lucy ever could have dreamed.
They were dating!
And Lucy was going to throw up.
“I knew mixing alcohol would end like this, you’re such a lightweight!”
“Cana?”
“Yeah Luce?”
“Don’t be fucking rude.”

Midnight Mission: Coffee
Masterlist
Word Count: 2.316 Warnings: love? this is fluff with the potential to knock you off your feet.  Special a/n: Birthday Drabble for my sweetheart Sofía @nataliarxmanxva ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOVE! I will never forget the kindness you have blessed me with. This is your birthday gift, love (haha and since it’s on the internet, you can’t refuse!).
Tumblr media
I love you, sweetie. And I hope that you’re gonna like this thing I shamelessly call “drabble” (which it is not, by regulation, since it (by a few words) crossed the 100-word limit, but if you feel extra today, which you should, you can count this thingy as 23 drabbles). Have fun! And have more Seb, and hugs and birthday happiness! :D

Your heart leaped in your sweat-gleaming chest when a thunderous noise rose in the darkness before you. Still out of breath, the adrenaline almost overwhelmed you. This was such a rush. A hand landed on your shoulder. Well done. You donned your widest smile, put one foot in front of the other, and bowed, along with the other dozen girls and guys in the row. The applause still filled the majestic ballroom with the ornamented balconies and the wonderful, wide stage you had admired since years. Today, you’d done your best, even written ballet history on it, with your academy’s class. Glancing at the audience told you you had performed not only in front of the usual, sophisticated assembly of artlovers and philanthropists, but also mere meters away from royalty. Only moments later, the glamorous swell of applause and praise ceased, and all performers left the stage, giving room to the antecedent artists. Bouquets of white flowers were handed to you and you and the other ballerinas gracefully posed for the journalists with the exclusive access to backstage.
Although being on stage and dancing was your passion, your body felt amazing when you finally wriggled yourself out of the silk and muslin bodice that clung to your warm skin. You swapped it for a pair of sweatpants and that oversized hoodie of pure goodness that you’d stolen from your brother last week, before you had left for your academy’s tour. The girls in the changing room chatted and giggled, just enjoying their time together as much as they could. When your sneakers were on, your bag packed and on the way to your hotel, where you knew some celebration would be happening, you decided to be yourself. It didn’t take long to sneak out of the auditorium, only armed with your phone and some money, but ready to attack the metropolitan area at night. You’d seen the long streets glowing in the dark yesterday, from your hotel room, and you’d longed to exchange early bedtime for midnight stroll adventures. Now, finally outside, your breath hitched when the soft breeze blew midnight air over your face, when it got caught in your hair and made it dance. Despite the traffic and the lights everywhere, you caught a glimpse of a star. Different scents mixed together in a whirlwind of air, inviting you to different places, to a fast-food-place, to a brewery bar, to a perfumery that was still open, but you stayed on your course. Shops and parks lined up along the sidewalk and you casually strolled past them. Street artists lured sweet melodies out of their violins and guitars and you blessed them with kind smiles, which they returned.
Finally, you laid eyes on a coffeeshop with a wooden door frame and beautiful feeling of vintage. You felt it the third time this evening, the tingling buzz of anticipation, when you put your hand on the door. Stepping in was rewarded immediately, by the wild, fragrant notes of coffee streaming into your nose and by the smooth music creating an atmosphere of relaxation. Not many midnighters, as you called yourself and everyone more appreciative of these wonderful hours in the middle of the night, were seated in the lounge seats, but that was completely fine to you. The barista gave you a welcoming nod and a smile when you watched as he made a cappuccino for another customer. “Hi there”, he said softly, “what can I do for you?” It wasn’t hard to pick what you wanted, but you felt adventurous, you wanted to try something new. You quickly scanned the shop’s chalkboards with the creative hand-lettered list of coffee beverages. “The one with apple spice, what is it?” “Good pick. It’s a limited edition, but it’s what I would recommend.” “I’ll try it, then.” When you chose your seat, you noticed the fairy lights around the seating area and were immediately reminded of your best friend. You wondered what they were doing right now. Probably sleeping, considering the time zone shift and all. Your gaze wandered beyond the glass of the windows and towards the streets, where the ground glimmered like it was wet from this angle. Some people just walked, others stood there, chatting and others just drove by. The harmonious music around you made you feel like a film character, waiting in the gloomy coffeeshop for their perfect date. But you weren’t waiting for anyone, quite opposite of that guy your eyes had spotted, on the other side of the street. He seemed to be watching the street in both directions, not overly obvious, but to you, it was clear he still had hopes for his night to change in tone. A sigh of bliss escaped you when your order was brought to your table. It was not the barista from before who approached you now, but his coworker, the one who had been serving the couple on the other side of the shop when you came in. His eyes were blue in a face that was surrounded by loose brunet strands of hair that had fallen out of his man-bun, but their color was not their most striking feature. No, they seemed to sparkle with radiant energy and wonderful joy, and you could tell he enjoyed being here, even so late at night. “You look cozy”, he smiled at you and nodded at your hoodie-outfit, gently setting your cup of late night goodness down. “How was your day?” You smiled at the young man, who seemed genuinely kind. “Better than I hoped. A lot of work, but hey. I got my reward”, you grinned and noticed the brunet sending quick glances out the window before focusing his attention back to you. He must’ve spotted the waiting man as well. Something changed in the way the waiter stood, so you asked. “How long has he been standing there?” The waiter sent you a look that showed less kindness and more concern than before. “He is waiting for someone”, the waiter answered, slowly, still keeping an eye on the man in the coat, who now pulled out his phone, typing something in. Suddenly, the waiter looked at you, his face going blank for a second. “Shit”, he whispered. What? “You need to get up.” The waiter, his name tag shining in the dim light, saying Bucky, touched your shoulder. “Excuse you? What is going on?” You mustered him, but his expression remained serious. he was completely serious. Was he kicking you out? For what? Mentioning the man outside? “Get up”, Bucky said. “I need you to hug me.” That was it. Confusion had replaced peace and it was all this weirdo’s fault. “No way”, you protested. “You gotta help me out here. It’s just pretend, I swear. I’m sorry you walked in here at this time, this is all very unfortunate.” “What? You got some serious explaining to do, you-” “He’s got a live gun.” The statement hung in the air while soft piano continued to play in the background. Your thoughts were racing.
The waiter put down the tray in his left hand and pulled his serving glove off. Your breath hitched when metal appeared instead of flesh and moved with little whirs. “Stay calm”, he whispered and nudged you. “Get up and hug me. I won’t do anything without telling you, okay? I know this is very strange, but I need you to pretend like we’re friends and haven’t seen each other in a long time. I will get you out of here, I promise.” And there it was, for the fourth time, the adrenaline, but this time, it set your mind on fire, drowning it in panicky thoughts and short prayers. Please, let me get out of here alive. But Bucky had promised he’d get you out. So you did as he’d told you; you stood up, got on your toes and did your best to not seem hesitant as you pressed yourself against his torso. He was definitely better at this, this pretending, because he didn’t just hug you, he spun you around, eliciting a squeal. Next, you found yourself buried into his chest, his nice, toned chest, and completely drowning in the mix of cologne and coffee aroma. “Good job”, he whispered next to your ear and still didn’t let you go. The blond barista walked past you and the waiter. “Back door is under surveillance”, he said, his voice somber, but not laced with fear at all. “Steve. Let’s do Sevilla.” “What’s Sevilla?”, you asked. “The guy is staring. They’re not sure if it’s really us. We’re gonna have to give him a show. Sorry, doll. Do you happen to be a good dancer?” “Depends on you”, you smiled. Maybe this was gonna be great. Maybe this was gonna be fun. You hadn’t danced with a male person yet, not in public, but if Bucky was a good dancer?
A little shiver escaped you when the metal hand grazed your skin when your hoodie had been pulled up in the back. You wondered how Bucky got it, a hand of metal. When your hand carefully wandered up the hand, along the lower arm, the upper arm and came to rest on his shoulder, you noticed it must’ve been all metal, because no muscle was this hard. Bucky smirked when your curious eyes met his. He started swaying to the music that Steve had put on. “You’re cute”, he said and suddenly, every thought of danger was blown away by those two little words. The brunet pulled you a little closer, smiling softly when you blushed. “Thanks, stranger”, you answered with a grin. This did feel good, albeit completely different from dancing on stage. Bucky was massive, had shoulders like a bear and arms like you had never witnessed in real life, but he felt soft. And, which was surprising, his moves were smooth, every part of his body seemed perfectly relaxed and stretched - and you doubted he’d done warm-up stretches behind the shop’s counter. When he rested your head on his shoulder, his breath caressed your neck. “Bucky Barnes, at your service”, he whispered, donning a posh accent, which was charming. A warm stream of delight captured her body then, because the moment was perfect, in a way. In secret, you had always imagined your first date as something silently romantic - with a guy who’d offer you a dance. But now, this was much better. This guy in front of you hadn’t even said anything special, hadn’t poured out his life in front of you, hadn’t tried to woo you with some crazy pick-up line, but he made you want to drown in him because this moment felt so light. When he moved with you, the fairy lights shimmered and the music guided you. Coffee hung in the air and another couple started to dance a couple of feet away from you. “What are you thinking, doll?” “That I could do this forever. You’re an impressive dancer.” “Good to know you think so. When all this is over, would you be so kind to repeat that in front of Steve?” “Barista Steve.” “Captain America Steve.” You grinned. This kept getting better. “Life is crazy”, you muttered and watched the brunet smirk. Again. It was agonizing. His eyes sparkled like he was having the time of his life. He made your stomach tingle, even raised all the little hairs on your arms and your neck. And every time he captured your eyes, it irked you that he knew exactly what he was doing to you. “What do you want to say?”, he whispered. “Nothing”, you lied, but not because you didn’t want to tell him, you just didn’t know how. “You owe me that apple spice latte.” “No, that’s not it”, he mused. He was an assassin, dammit, why could he read you like that? The music changed and Bucky changed the dance, into something even closer. “Is that guy still watching?” “Everyone is watching, love. And I don’t blame them. You’re gorgeous.” “Bucky?” “Hm.” “It doesn’t feel like a pretend date anymore”, you whispered, carefully, while searching his eyes. Slowly, he rested his forehead against yours. The cheeky delight seemed to wander from his eyes into your heart immediately. His voice was husky when he spoke again. “Would you rather it did?” The question left you breathless. You were captured in that one, tender moment, in arms that held you like a precious discovery, in music that softened your heart. Bucky’s eyes filled your view, the blue a promise of genuine delight, of truth and kindness. You couldn’t help but marvel at his beautiful face, at his cheeks, his nose and then, those lips that were halfway open, tender lips ready to shower you with affection. It seemed Bucky read your mind, in this state of connectedness, because as soon as you’d imagined it, his hand touched your cheek, taking the lead. Your eyes closed, the magic unfolded and in a second, your body was overflowing with sweetness. Bucky’s lips were on yours, guided by magic and precious harmony. The fairy lights dipped his face into a golden shimmer when you separated. “Me neither”, Bucky breathed and placed a kiss on your forehead while pulling you against his torso. “Did I mention you were cute?” “I bet Steve doesn’t tell you how good of a kisser you are.” Bucky chuckled. “She’s charming, too. Who would’ve known, the hoodie princess saved my entire mission.” “Well, what can I say”, you grinned and spun, “dancing is my specialty. Right after saving helpless supersoldiers at midnight.” “I wasn-“ Before he could say anything, you placed your lips on his and initiated what you later called one of your most precious memories in decades of happiness with the charming stranger from the moonlight coffeeshop.
