[I'm gonna do this with metal subgenres since that is what I consume and thus what I am most familiar with.

Magnus has a respect for all genres of music but gravitates towards very symphonic-styled stuff because he likes being able to visualize along with the music. Definitely listens to Rhapsody of Fire. Enjoys Pyramaze and stuff styled like it. Also would have a liking for prog metal, but wouldn't be one of those "wow this metal is in 4/4 how original" prog douchebags and generally dislikes how that represents the prog community as a whole.

Perturabo probably listens to industrial metal but also maybe folk metal on the side? I feel like the dude would listen to Saltatio Mortis and like it. Especially the Klassik stuff. Also maybe listens to Mono Inc. as that One Band that's outside his usual shit.

A lot of people would probs be like 'hurr durr Amon Amarth' for Russ but I don't think so. He probs is like "yeah Amon Amarth is nice however" (puts on Eluveitie). He'd like stuff that's like Elu, basically. So folk metal with some borrowings from death metal. Also would probably like some of Aether Realm's stuff off of Redneck Vikings From Hell. Also also loves Kaufmann und Maid by Sasha, Subway to Sally, Saltatio Mortis, etc. etc.

Konrad would also like Aether Realm, especially the album Tarot. Probs identifies most with The Fool, The Devil, and Strength. Would maybe think The Sun, the Moon, the Stars is the weakest on the album. He'd also like gothic metal, but not like 2000's hot topic gothic metal. Think more Mono Inc. or LOTL with Judas and Thornstar.

Corvus would also listen to gothic metal and I feel like some of it would be 2000's hot topic gothic metal, but those would be guilty pleasure songs. He would also be into some aspects of black metal and maybe some deathcore? I can see him liking Aversion's Crown or Lorna Shore.

Fulgrim listens to the more weird and niche subgenres and bands like We Butter the Bread with Butter or Party Canon. However he'd also probably listen to Ghost. Cirice feels like something he'd maybe enjoy. He likes very unique sounding stuff that stands out within the genre.

Ferrus also listens to industrial stuff but also Sabaton. You'd think he'd bond with Perturabo but Ferrus would also be one of Those Metalheads who are like "you're not really a fan if you can't name their entire discography in order including dates of release". Perturabo would go to him for song recs and get shut down for being a poser or something.

Lorgar listens to a wide array of metal but usually sticks around more symphonic styled stuff and gothic metal. People may be like "oh christian metal" but honestly christian metal can be pretty damn trash and Lorgar has an ear for good music. Would love the album JUDAS. Would maybe appreciate Powerwolf? Maybe? Does have a soft spot for folk metal as it can remind him of the songs he'd hear being sung in the late hours of the night after Kor Phaeron went to sleep in the caravan. Would love Kaufmann and sing it with Russ readily.

Lion listens to classic rock and metal, but doesn't really enjoy the Big Four. Has some respect for them but they aren't really his cup of tea. Big Black Sabbath fan. Also is not opposed to more recent stuff but prefers more 70s/80s styled metal.

Mortarion would listen to Abbath and maybe something like Dissection but outside of that isn't a huge fan of black metal. Would probably vibe with metalcore? Maybe? I can see him listing to The Amity Affliction or Crown the Empire. Also listens to Kamelot-styled stuff, but only Roy Khan era Kamelot. Also also a prog listener, but ca sometimes be one of those "wow 4/4 so original" bros.

Horus is weird because I can see him liking a lot of things and generally vibing to whatever his brothers listen to. But I can also see him liking stuff that is more metalcore-y, but in the vein of Avenged Sevenfold metalcore. Basically the genres that bitches in the metal community put down as "not real metal" he'd like, but also be readily and easily available to vibe to whatever.

Sanguinius is similar, but bro 10/10 times listens to symphonic shit RELIGIOUSLY. He'll vibe with whatever but he loves having music swap sessions with Magnus because both of them can be like "hey have you heard the new Rhapsody yet" or "yo Blind Guardian did a re-recorded version of this" etc. He'll respect his other bros but that's his go-to.

Anyone who says Jaghatai listens to speed metal is boring. He does but that's not the point. Also anyone who says the HU is also boring. Because he listens to more than just that. He listens to a lot of various folk-inspired things and would love death/thrash stuff. Jag is the one to pick up Amon Amarth over Russ imo, because I feel like Russ would be recommended Amon Amarth so often he just feels sick of it but Jaghatai loves it.

Dorn also listens to classic rock but he also like Slayer because he needs some spice in his life. Also listens to Nanowar of Steel and no I will not elaborate as to why.

Anyone who says death metal Angron is correct, however I also offer that he can listen to clean stuff so long as there's a LOT of power behind it. He would listen to Heart of a Hurricane by Beyond the Black and vibe hard with it. Bro probably gravitates towards female-fronted bands. I don't know why but I associate that with Angron a LOT.

Guilliman is like Dorn but instead of Slayer and Nanowar of Steel he listens to Steel Panther. Also KISS probably. Also also would listen to a little bit of Dissection or Abbath. Flavor in there somewhere.

Alpharius and Omegon like prog. But they could also listen to metal of all subgenres. Definitely gravitate towards prog though.

Vulkan is the biggest power metal nerd amongst them. Straight up shit like Dragonforce and Gloryhammer and Ancient Bards. It's all lighthearted on the surface until you start digging deeper and realize "oh this song is about a last stand as everyone prepares to die and their prince is trying to convince them to go through with this anyway so that there will be hope for the next generation. huh." THAT is what he's into.
