in which: a moment of impulsivity has ratio knocking on your door at 3 am with a grand confession.
Tumblr media
There is a great cloud of curiosity that surrounds Dr. Ratio.
His intelligence is far beyond the average person’s comprehension, mind working at insurmountable speeds to reach conclusions and answers that no others have come to before. Mediocrity and Ratio could never stand to be in the same room, intelligence and reputation as an academic preceding him.
When people find out that you have been in a long-term relationship with the scholar, you can almost see the question mark above their heads. How did you meet? When did you start dating? How did you start dating? How do you put up with him? (You always answer that with ‘I’m still trying to find out myself’. He always rolls his eyes when you say that, but it’s nothing a kiss to the cheek can’t solve.)
Only your closest friends know the story of how you started dating, but it’s always one you love recounting, much to the dismay of Veritas.
For the decades that he has lived for, there have been few moments he regrets, always critically scrutinising every move six steps before he makes them. No one has ever seen him messy, uncertain, or dishevelled- except you.
Towards the end of your university years, with an urgent final assignment due soon, you’re rudely awoken one night by frantic knocks on your dorm’s door. You notice the clock reads 3 am, and since the knocks only got louder by the second, you throw your covers off with a groan.
Who could be at your door at 3 am? Perhaps a drunk dormmate who forgot their keys? Or someone knocking thinking it was their room?
Looking through the peephole, you’re stunned to see a certain violet-haired friend on the other side, trouble etched deeply into his features. His hair was messy, falling haphazardly around his face, and his usual accessory of a laurel wreath was discarded, flamboyant outfit discarded for something more comfortable.
It’s clear that he’s troubled by something, but you have half a mind to leave him outside until he goes away (that’s what he’d do to you, or so you think).
Opening the door, you begin by scolding him. “You better have a good reason to show up at this godforsaken time or otherwise-”
“-I’m in love with you.”
Perhaps if it were a normal hour of the day, and if you hadn’t just been rudely awaken from your sleep, you would have processed his words faster. Instead, you blink at him once, twice, three times, fatigue weighing heavily on your features as you struggled to keep your eyes open.
“What?” You murmur, shaking your head as if that would clear up the mental blockage.
“I’m in love with you,” he repeats, firmer this time.
You grab his wrist and drag him inside your dorm, blinded by the harshness of the hallway lights illuminating the outline of his figure. Turning on the softer light on your desk, you take a seat on the edge of your bed, gazing down at your hands. Veritas, however, stays near your door, annoyingly muscular arms flexed over his chest.
“I have so many questions,” you grumble, rubbing your eyes. “Why are you awake? You’re always asleep by 11 to get your ass up at 6 to exercise, or whatever.”
“Are you avoiding the main point, or just stupid?” He grabs you by the shoulders and shakes. “I love you.”
“Excuse me! You were banging bullets on my dorm room, I’m disorientated right now, not stupid- what?”
It’s almost like his statement from earlier only pierces through your brain now with the way you freeze, eyes morphing into something akin to disbelief and shock. He sees all the changes in your expression in the dimness of the room, nervously biting his cheek with every subtle shift.
“Did… I hear that right?” You whisper after what feels like an eternity. “You love me?”
He nods. “For a few years now.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Am I not doing so in this very moment?”
Tonight has been nothing but agitating for him. First, he was kept awake by the pounding of his heart and the burning desire to see you, significantly delaying his sleep until Veritas decided to cast all caution into the wind, running to your dorm all the way on the other side of the University. Now, he is trying to pour his heart onto your hands, all because of a moment of impulsivity and bull-headed stubbornness, and a secret he cannot keep to himself any longer.
He may be stubborn (as are all geniuses), but Veritas is never impulsive. All truths will come to light eventually, no matter how hard he tries to hide them.
“While I accept that my feelings may not be reciprocated, can you at least say something rather than stare at me blankly?” There’s an unfamiliar look of concern in his eyes, contrasting the usual pride and arrogance he always wears.
What happened to the Veritas Ratio you know? Who is this man by your feet?
“No- that’s not. I… I love you too, I have for a while now, but everything about this is… just unbelievable.”
“Why?”
“You’re aeons out of my league, Veritas. I never once considered you would return my feelings.”
He stifles back a laugh, dropping his large hands off your shoulders and clutching the mattress on either side of you. You won’t forget about the way the sheets crumple beneath his grip, or the way his head hangs, bangs tickling your legs.
Bravely, you raise a hand to his hair, running through it. Seemed like he could use the comfort.
“You make me too damn nervous,” he breathes, a hand coming to clutch at his chest.
“Never thought I’d live to see the day you admit you get nervous.”
“Why’s that?”
“The only thing bigger than your brain is your ego.”
His confession, and everything about that night, was unorthodox, never predicting that you’d end the day curled up next to Veritas, or the long relationship that would follow.

soft Toji dog-sitting for a generous!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pt. 1 - pt. 2 - pt. 3 - pt. 4 - pt. 5 - pt. 6 - next
cw for this chapter: discussion of assault (reader)
synopsis: Toji was quite accustomed to objectifying himself for a check. And to be frank, far worse actions as well. Now he’s not sure what to do with himself after meeting the kind and generous owner of the dog he pet-sits for.
read along as Toji grows more comfortable around you despite his past.
〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰〰・♡・〰
Try as he might, Toji could not escape the sounds of your frightened voice from the night prior. He slept horribly, tossing from his side to his back only to stare up at your ceiling fan. When he finally got up, he busied himself with cleaning the house before your return.
You had told him not to worry about staying past the afternoon, that you expected to be back in time to feed the dog, but Toji insisted on staying. He wanted to see you. More importantly, he wanted to speak to you. There were several things he would have liked to have spoken about, but the one thing weighing on his mind was what had happened the night prior.
Your desperate apologies, your wavering voice. All of it felt so disconcerting.
So Toji stayed.
He stayed and washed the sheets, stayed and made up the bed, stayed and swept the floors.
He was a decisive man. If he wanted to do something? Consider it done. So why? Why was he second-guessing himself when he heard your car pull up the driveway? Why did his heart pound as if he was in some kind of danger? Why did he find himself pacing, looking for something to occupy himself with? All so he didn't seem like he was waiting for you.
But he was, he was waiting for you.
A pause permeated the foyer and kitchen when he heard you open the door and for a moment his throat felt tight, you hadn't seen him yet. His grip on the rag he was "washing dishes" with tightened. He heard a light gasp and spun around. Finally.
"Toji! I didn't realize you were here, I didn't see your car." You spun around to peek out the window, Toji dropped the towel and moved to the island. Closer to you. To observe you. You looked fine.
"Glad you made it back. He's been waiting for you." Toji pointed to the dog that was currently bounding around you in a show of tender love.
You kneeled down and scratched the dog's neck. "Thank you so much for watching him, I know how much he loved your company, but, Toji, how did you get here?"
He smiles, "Took the bus, needed gas." He didn't, he just wanted an excuse to stay. But by the look on your face, this was clearly the wrong response.
"Oh, my- Toji! Oh! You should have said, I would pay for your gas!" You had shot up at his statement and were looking at him with embarrassed disappointment.
"Oh please" He rolled his eyes, "You're plenty generous enough."
"I don't want you riding the bus at night, I'll give you a ride, or I can order you an Uber, like before."
Toji was thinking fast, why were you so keen on his leaving? Was it because you were uncomfortable? Or did you feel like it was a burden for him to stay? Whatever the answer, he was still caught up on the fact that you didn't want him riding the bus. How silly, to worry about his safety.
"Nah, it's no problem, I was staying here regardless." He shrugged.
"Was everything alright? Did you have everything you needed?" You smile at him and he eases a breath, okay, no more talk of leaving.
"Everything and then some. You've got a real nice place." He took a step closer to scratch the dog's ear. "Good trip?"
He didn't want to push. He wouldn't. But he couldn't help the curiosity. Especially when he watched your face falling at his question.
"Oh... yes, well" You sighed, shrugged, and avoided eye contact. "Work, you know."
"So..... not a good time." Toji tried for a tone of joviality but your eyes did not brighten.
"No. Wish I could've been here." You spoke so quietly that he could barely hear. He was worried that, within a moment, you would call him a cab, or usher him to your BMW. This was it.
Toji had been hungry for information since your text. It was for no reason other than his experience with law enforcement that he stayed up last night. Thinking about what type of situation you were in.
"Can I ask you a question?" Toji began, your head whipping to his face, nodding slightly, "It's about last night."
He noticed instantly- your eyebrows rose, along with your shoulders. You took a breath in as your chin lifted up. Unaware to you, your arms encircled your torso. You were so easy to read.
You didn't speak though. Toji took the silence once again. "Something happened, while you were away." Not a question, he realized as it came out. Damn, what was he saying? You didn't respond and he scrambled for the right words.
"Did-I mean. Did something happen?" So eloquent.
You sighed, looking at your shoes. Right on cue, your dog whimpered at your feet. "Yeah...' You draw it out, there's humor in your tone. "I didn't want to go on the trip anyway." Sighing, you look up at the ceiling, Toji gets the feeling that you were speaking to yourself.
"Didn't realize you saw a lot of crime in your business." How is it he can hold eye contact so steadily? How is it he can look through to your soul?
"Hmm?" You raise a brow, and then your eyes grow, "Oh! No! No! I don't." He laughs from his chest. The prospect of criminal activity leaves you aghast. "It wasn't a crime! Well..." You begin that mumbling "talking-to-yourself" way of speech, "Not a serious one, I've had problems with him for ages now."
Toji stops. You stop. You said too much.
"Him?" Toji's brows are stitched tightly together. Had he misheard?
"Oh!" You begin, catching his eyes that are glued to you. "It's not serious. If it was I would do something. It's not that!" You huff out, “Not like that…”
But Toji hadn't said anything. He remains silent. Waiting for you to continue. The dog begins to pace. You run a hand through your hair and then wave nonsensically as if to ward off the air around you.
"Who are we talking about." Toji's voice has only once sounded like this. It had sounded this way over the phone that night he carried your dog a mile, drove him to the vet, and silently watched you bandage his hands.
It had sounded like this when he was desperate.
"Aagh!" You shook your head. Dispelling some unhappy thought or memory. "I'm not... really supposed to be speaking about all this. It's been handled." You wave your hands dramatically, making a show of finding the time, you start up again, "Oh goodness, look at the clock, Toji let me get you a ride so you can be home for dinner!"
"I'd like to hear about this actually." He doesn't move. He slowly maneuvers his head to follow your gaze. "Having trouble with a co-worker?"
Toji had his fair share of experiences with unsavory characters in his time working in different industries. They were never too difficult to handle, though.
You laugh painfully, "Unfortunately, yeah, but there's really nothing to do..." Your making "shooing" motions with your hands again, motioning between him and the door.
"That why you didn't wanna go on this trip?" He watches your motion - ignores it.
"Gosh, yes. You know how it goes." Toji hums.
"Police involved?" He watches you. Your hands shiver to a stop, you turn to meet his eyes, suddenly still.
"No." You look at him. "No, it was handled before that."
"But he wasn't fired." His head slants to the left.
"No reason to fire him." You're looking at him differently now. You sound different now. Finite. Tired.
"Well, if police could be involved, there has to be some reason." He looks at you, but you're not speaking. You're not smiling. You're not moving.
"He was the one to make you cry that night." He asks, but it's not a question this time either.
"I think you should go get dinner, Toji." You speak softly, but there is really no room for disagreement allowed.
"There's gotta be something, just tell your boss if you don't wanna work with some dickhead." He's trying to help, he is, but it's coming out all wrong. He doesn't know the situation, and he's never had a real job before, he doesn't know - that even though your position is one of power - although you are high up in a huge conglomerate - although you have a million opportunities in front of you that he's never been offered - although you make real, honest money - some of the most evil people are in those positions as well.
And things that, he, a killer, a prostitute, a gambler, a criminal, could never imagine even in his most dark moments, go on, under the veil of the shiny "opulence" so easily desired.
"He's not just a colleague, Toji." Your sentences are chopped as they leave your lips. Toji realized suddenly that the only reason you're speaking now is because he has obviously made you upset. "He's a stakeholder's son. And everyone loves him. Trust me. I've reported him before. But nothing comes of it. It just." You sigh, detached. "It just makes me look bad. He's popular and charismatic, and everyone thinks he's.... he's the best! So there. He can do what he wants. He can touch who he wants. He can make decisions for everyone else. And there's nothing I can do, actually."
Toji is taken aback, and your dog huffs at your legs, "I'm sorry..." You mutter behind your hands. Likely embarrassed at your lengthy diatribe. But Toji takes no notice of your apology.
"He touched you?" There is something new now, something Toji does understand, and this, this will not happen again, he is sure of it.
"Just briefly. And he was drunk. So what does it matter." Your hands remain in front of your face. A grievously aggravated tone in your voice for the first time.
"It matters all the same. It matters- it matters-" Toji is racing for the right thing to say but he’s never been good with words.
He has experienced being touched when he did not like it. He had experienced allowing somethings to happen for a dollar. But he had never been in the position of being attacked. He had never been the weaker of two people. But you, he cannot image such a feeling. Such a feeling being completely uncontrolled.
And suddenly he's remembering your texts, your jittery voice, your apologies and he wants to puke.
"Why not go to the police. Something must be done. Y/n, please."
"I can't." He bends down to see your sunken face, trying to spot any tears. "What if nothing happens? What if I make a fool of myself? What if- Toji, what if I lose my job?"
Seeing now, the darkness within what he believed to be grandeur, he wonders if you are really any better off than he.
"You won't. Y/n- I, I can do it. I can get this... handled." His mind is flooded with memories, a man, someone who worked for his handler, he was good with technology, good with blackmail. His thoughts were interrupted by a chuckle.
"No-Toji, that can't happen. It just... I don't think that's possible. I'm just." You heave a breath, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said a thing. I think I'm just tired. It's okay."
"No." He's shaking his head. Slow. But you don't hear him. You've closed him off. You've resigned yourself and he wonders, sickeningly, how long you have been resigned for.
That night grew dark faster than either of you knew. You had told him not to think about it. You told him to let it go. But that night, reminded of a similar evening he spent in a car that was paid to bring him back to his apartment. He considered the situation.
When he climbed his way into his dark apartment, he did not hesitate. Measured steps brought him to the ventilation above the stove in his kitchen. He reached up, grabbed the flip phone found there, a burner he knew remained.
He didn't even mull it over before he sent the text.
"Need a favor. Call me."
And he didn't sleep that night until he'd been back in contact with the man he thought he was done working with for good.

His Little Girl
Requested: No
Summary: You knew that Jake would be the best father to your baby girl. He didn't hesitate to prove it.
Word count: 1.2k
Warnings: Pregnancy, hospitals, & mentions of blood.
Pairings: Jake 'Hangman' Seresin x wife!reader
Tumblr media
Jake Seresin was an amazing father. You thought that this would be the case, but the past few days were nothing but proof. Your entire pregnancy, Jake had been right there by your side. With every craving, every bout of morning sickness, every time you needed to feel the weight of your growing baby lifted from your shoulders, Jake was there. The whole nine months, all the way to your labour, he was the perfect husband. Not once during your 22-hour labour did he leave your side.
Regardless of his caring tendencies during your pregnancy, somehow, Jake was even more caring the second your baby girl was born. Around 4:30 in the morning, Aimee Rose Seresin was born, weighing 6 pounds 7 ounces and perfectly healthy. You and your husband couldn’t have been more happy. Early that morning, for only the third time since you had met Jake, you saw tears filling your husband's eyes.
When the nurses took out your little girl to do blood tests, Jake immediately ran down to get you something to eat. Jake arrived only seconds before the nurses did. He helped to prop you up and sort out your meal before Aimee was passed over to him. You watched with unlimited adoration as your little girl snuggled into his bare chest. You finished what you could have easily considered the best meal of your life before relaxing back onto your pillows. Within seconds, your eyes were slipping shut and you were drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
You woke up a few hours later to the same sight of your baby girl asleep on her daddy’s chest. A soft smile grew on your face at the sight of your sleeping husband. Luckily, Jake had set your phone beside you before Aimee was handed to him. You snapped a quick picture and set it as your lock screen. You had never been more in love than you were now.
Mere seconds later, the nurse walked in to check up on you. Your husband woke up slowly, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. “How are you doing, dear?” The sweet elderly nurse questioned as she reviewed your vitals. After only a few minutes, you were left alone again with your family.
Your husband was standing now, walking toward you while rocking your little girl softly. Not only did Jake hold your little girl like she was the most precious thing in the world, he looked at you as if you hung the moon and the stars. In that moment, you could easily see how much he loved you. His eyes held untamed adoration as he set your little girl on your chest.
“I love you so, so much, honey.” He whispered to you gently as he leaned down. A chaste kiss was placed on your forehead.
The soft moment between the two of you was often one that you returned to when Aimee woke up crying in the middle of the night. However, even in those times of frustration, you knew that your husband was beside you every step of the way.
Thankfully, you only had to stay in the hospital a few days longer before you were allowed to go home. Those few days flew by in a breeze, Jake being a large help through the whole process. You knew the history that Jake had with his father, so you were more than proud of the fact that he was already such an amazing father. The fact made you smile softly, watching your husband love on your little girl once more.
Unsurprisingly, the ‘hot dad walk’ that you had been looking forward to since you found out you were pregnant did not disappoint, far exceeding any expectations you could have had. The sight of Jake carrying your baby girl out in her car seat had you swooning for your husband all over again. You waddled behind him slowly, happy to watch him walk away. When you finally arrived at the car, Jake made sure to let you know that he knew exactly what you had been staring at the whole time. Your cheeks were rosy the entire ride home. You sat in the back seat with Aimee, watching her sleep soundly as Jake made the slow drive home.
Every few minutes, Jake would check on the two of you. “How are my girls doin’?” he questioned, not taking his eyes off the road. Another smile lit up your face as her tiny hand wrapped around one of your fingers.
“We’re doing perfect Jake. She’s perfect.” There was nothing but pure awe on your face. In that moment, Jake thought the same about you. You were the light of his life; absolutely perfect just the way you were. He chose not to say anything, smiling softly at the thought of his new family.
A few minutes later, Jake was pulling into the driveway of your home. He hopped out and pulled your door open, helping you out before he grabbed your baby girl’s car seat. She was passed over to you as Jake collected the rest of your belongings from the back seat.
You sucked in a soft breath, grasping your husband's hand as you brought your baby girl into the house for the first time. Aimee slept soundly in her car seat, unaware of the happiness building in your chest. Your family was home.
Together, you and Jake brought her up to the cozy nursery. Jake had spent weeks putting it together, dragging Bradley and Bob in at various times to help him assemble the furniture. The sight of three large aviators bent over pieces of a crib in a pretty pink room made you giggle more than once. As Jake emptied the contents of the hospital bag onto the changing table, you set Aimee softly in her crib. One of the tips that the nurses gave you was that when the baby was sleeping, you should be sleeping. After the exhausting few days you’d had, you certainly weren’t one to disagree.
Seeing that Aimee was peacefully asleep in her crib, you and Jake grabbed the baby monitor and headed down the hall toward your room. Your husband pushed the door open for you, chuckling quietly as you flopped onto the bed. You offered him a tired grin.
Mirroring your smile, Jake set the monitor on the dresser and walked toward the bed. “Hey there, pretty girl,” There was a loving look in his eyes as he climbed onto the bed beside you. His fingers began to trace delicate patterns into the soft skin of your stomach. “How’s my beautiful wife doing?”
Offering him another smile as your eyes fluttered closed. “I’m doing amazing Jake,” You whispered, “Thank you so much.” You squeezed his hand softly. Even though you didn’t directly say it, Jake knew exactly what you were thanking him for. You may have not been able to see it with your eyes closed, but the smile on his face showed exactly how much he loved you. He didn’t have to respond; you knew he would do anything for his girls.

A DC X DP IDEA #4 You’re worth is more than a penny.
Imagine dis…
We all read and saw fanfictions about either Jason, Constantine, Bruce, or even Jazz raising Danny when he became younger due to Clockwork’s interference, but what if we reverse the roles?
Alfred Pennyworth was raised by Phantom.
It was early 1900 in England where it is common for children were being sold like cattle for a penny. Among the rows of yelling parents who are willing to sell a few of their children for a few pounds to help themselves or the younger ones at home, one parent was loudly exclaiming that his child is merely worth more than a penny. A nameless child with skin and bones as a body, at the tender age of 6 years old he already knew the horrors of child slavery. Some were never seen again like the ones he saw outside playing tag and others return to their parents in a body bag. He also knew that no one would want a skinny child like him so he waited for the inevitable beating at this man’s house, He refuse to call that man his father nor that dingy four-by-four wall home.
Suddenly a distinguished gentleman walked past him and he was just in awe at what he had sawed. A young man that seemed like in his early 20s has a face of youth yet has an air of maturity around them. Wearing the cleanest pair of white waistcoats and black trousers, shaggy black hair, and striking blue eyes.
It was obvious that he was an errand boy looking around for new workers, his mind supplied.
The man looked at him with raised eyebrows and couldn’t help but think that this person may buy him out of this man’s clutches and put him to work that may or may not end his life.
The older man who saw the interested look of the errand boy tried to advertise him as his worth is merely a penny.
Danny was merely taking a break from his kingly duties after months, years, and centuries have passed since his adventures as Danny Phantom. Visiting a newly made dimension in the eyes of the king of Infinite Realms, he made his way through the early 1900s for some sight-seeing, with the insurance from his advisers, court, family members, and consorts (Tucker & Sam) he went and enjoyed the view and contemplating that why does Clockwork give him his farewell in a form of a cryptic message such as a father of a bat needs saving from his unexpected fate,  as well this universe felt like something interesting is bound to happen.
Being the High King of the Infinite Realms the realms itself chose him as their champion and king through countless rights of ascensions throughout the years.
Seeing that child slavery is still a thing at this point in time made him want to turn around and go to another realm less depressing than this time and come back later when they abolished slavery.
Though he caught an eye on this thin scrawny little boy who is nothing but skin and bones that the tiniest gust of wind will push him on the brick pavement, the boy’s parents however saw him taking interest and tried to get rid of the boy seeing that he was nothing but an extra mouth to feed due to his “responsibility” as a parent and tried to sell him for a penny.
Danny weighed the pros and cons in this situation, raising a mortal child may be both rewarding and satisfactory but the fact that he cannot break the ancient rules to make him immortal that was placed by the Realms themselves to uphold the balance between the living and the ancient realm, but he can bend it to an extent, so that if he can extend longevity in his lifespan to at least reach a century or so.
Added to the fact that Clockwork gave a message to protect him.
Bought the boy for a penny and carried the child towards the disguised horse carriage.
Now, how to explain to his family that he acquired a mortal child?
The nameless boy widened his eyes in surprise as the “errand” boy actually bought and carried him gently towards a clean carriage that looked like is owned by a king.
After making him sit beside his employer, his employer began asking him questions.
Such as his age, and name. likes, dislikes, and many other confusing questions.
At the mention of not having a name his employer began to frown, looks like he has made his new employer furious and he hasn’t even begun to earn his keep.
After a tense silence, his employer declared that HIS new name would be Alfred Pennyworth, as the word Alfred means counsel as he stated that he can see his future and that he would counsel different men who wish his advice, and Pennyworth, as his father is a fool for selling him for a penny as he is worth more than that.
At the time the nameless no…, At the time Alfred didn’t know what is the warm feeling on his chest that made him long for this man’s approval. He may be naïve or far too trusting for putting his trust in a man he met for a few minutes but at the time his only thought was he had his own name that he owns.
When the carriage stopped his employer carried him out of the carriage, and what greeted him is something he would never forget.
An endless green sky stretches along the horizon, A large black castle that reaches the sky that has growing vines all over its walls, at the front an entire estate dedicated to different and extinct plant life to flourish, and rows and rows of servants lined up and dressed in the fanciest clothing for maids and for all genders bowing ever slightly greeting and welcoming back their master in unison.
He looked behind him and around him for the master of the house but when he couldn’t see one, he turned his attention to the one who bought him as he is quite sacred for upsetting for not greeting the master in his own house.
But as he turn to the man for a plea for help he caught the small smile that his employer gave him and nodded towards the directions of the servants.
That was the time he learned that the man who bought him and gave him a name is his supposed master.
The next few days were confusing to the young Alfred Pennyworth, as he expected to be working on the animal shed or any menial tasks yet he was treated like a prince.
Free to learn what he desired, learning skills that he would never think of learning, free to eat anything his heart and stomach desired, free to have a soft bed to sleep on as well as having toys to ensure that he was not bored, given a wide variety of possible hobbies to take his mind off things. Gained and learned philosophies around the realms as well as had great teachers in teaching him essential things in morals, science, and more. Most importantly gained a family that he never thought he would even have.
He learned how to walk silently as a ghost, be swift in terms of movements waster no action, be present like a shadow, and use any weapon at hand, one’s body is a weapon itself. Discipline thy self in any temptation known to man, to integrate oneself to be unknown, eyes and emotions betray your mind be mindful of your facial and body movement as a single doubt will get someone you love to perish, but most importantly learned his new family’s motto.
Family is family.
Simple yet a powerful motto. No matter how cruel the man who brought and gave him a new life and purpose, the man who he saw as father, maybe in making decisions to ensure that the Infinite Realms stay balanced throughout the entire realms. How ruthless are his aunts and uncle to make sure that everything in between stays in the center of the balance as too much of the brings chaos
When Alfred was merely a teen he was given a blessing by his father, to be able to live a long life while maintaining his morality. One day he may die which is true, but it will be a long time before the reaper takes him to his next adventure.
Spending time with each member of the Nightingale family are memories that will be kept deep inside his heart. His mother Sam, taught him the wonders and secrets of flora, his other father Tucker, taught him how technology is used both in hope and destruction, His uncle Dan taught him about being an impenetrable wall in both mind and body, His older aunt Jazz taught him how to read his opponents in combat as well learning the beauty of human brain, His aunt Ellie who taught and showed him the wonders of the world in terms of the scenery, delicacy and culture, His grandfather Clockwork, taught him to be a cryptic as well moving on and forward as bad things are as natural as breathing and to move on is to let the time run its course.
Last but not least his father Danny, the High King of the Infinite Realms the man who he owes his entire being and life. The man whom he respects and wishes to turn out like him, the man who is proud to call his father. Taught him a multitude of things that one would not expect from a king, Be a Gentleman. A firm handshake combined with looking the other person in the eye carries with it respect, dignity, and strength, Honor Your Father and Mother, Respect Women, Be a Man of Integrity, Take Responsibility, and Work Hard, among the advice he gave and taught to him that they put into his life through action and words.
When WW2 came to his dimension he asked his father to be able to go back as it is still integrated into his blood to fight for the country that he was born into. As well as making a name for himself, to prove to the world his worth is more than a penny, to prove that all of their learning is not to be put to waste.
With the approval of his family, he set out to make his name.
S.A.S. Armed Services, fighting in 15 different operations between ages 18 and 20. A skilled medical and front liner soldier who was decorated. He later joined MI5, as well the secret forces of the Queen and later being knighted by her majesty
In this present time, we all know the current Alfred Pennyworth, the kickass ninja butler who is a mystery to the Batfam and has a lot of skillsets that are both surprising and expected to the Batfam. The butler who dared to out Batman the Batman. The butler is willing and dared to ground Batman for not taking care of himself. The butler carries a shotgun out of defense and we are pretty sure he is hiding a hidden bazooka somewhere in the manor. The butler who cooked delicious food and the one who raised Bruce Wayne
Working for the Wayne is not set to be permanent but the moment his ward Bruce Wayne becomes a hero just like his father and brings in his own version of a makeshift family he cannot help but stay for the sake of his ward that he saw as a son.
His family was there every step of the way.
Looking at the long dinner table that is filled with food with his ward/ son and his children he can't help but look fondly at the scene in front of him.
This is why he would not eat with the rest of the Batfam, the ambitious dinner or just being complete brings him back just when he was just a little boy looking at his father for guidance.
The Bat family are known to be good sometimes great detectives as they were taught by the greatest detective in the world, despite their wit and intelligence they still could not figure out their grandfather/ butler.
Having no presence before WW2 is common, as many orphans joined the war to bring acknowledgment to their names and presences. So when a glowing green letter made its way towards the kitchen counter, just as Alfred took a moment to look when he immediately snatched the said letter and ripped it open to see the contents.
Now mind you this was a never occurrence as Alfred Pennyworth is the epitome of calmness and neutrality so when he tore a letter like a kid who was given his first Christmas present all noise seemed to stop to look at the wide-eyed butler.
Alfred kept reading the said letter with wide eyes ignoring the shocked look of the people around him. Immediately telling Bruce that he will be going on an immediate 2-week vacation without even concealing his own joy in his voice and quickly turned around to pack a suitcase worth.
The entire Wayne’s both adopted and not are now invested what could the letter possibly contain that Alfred Pennyworth himself becomes a kid just by reading it?
Tailing the said butler was hard, following his quick steps which indicate impatience from the patient butler as well as a small smile that indicates fondness immediately became their new case.
Stopping at a large mansion surrounded by plant life that has a gothic aesthetic to it. As Alfred entered the gate he was tackled by a small black-haired blue-eyed child immediately followed by three teens and one large buff young adult.
All of them are hugging and exclaiming joy as Alfred reciprocated each hug with enthusiasm for his age.
Who are they and how does Alfred know all of these people?
 …

How Jake regained all the weight he had lost
My friend Jake’s always been big, he was always called the ‘chubby kid in high school, and teachers would frequently raise their concerns about his weight to Jake’s parents. When Jake moved away to college, he had a hard time making friends and finding a boyfriend — he blamed this on his weight. Jake would convince himself that no guy would ever want to date a man who weighs over 400lbs, and who can’t walk up a flight of stairs without wheezing.
So Jake started a rigorous weight loss journey, he stopped eating carbs, and in fact food in general, he went on a juice cleanse. He managed to cut his daily calorie consumption down to just 1,000kcal a day. Paired with hours spent in the gym each week, the pounds started to drop off him, and within 6 months, Jake was down almost 60 pounds. Everything was working perfectly according to his plan, until he met Harry.
Harry was a 5ft10, brown haired, blue eyed jock. Being captain of the college football team, he was a big flirt with the ladies. Except Harry didn’t like women. One evening at a frat party, Harry noticed Jake standing by himself. He went over to talk to him.
“Hey mater, y’all right?”
Jake didn’t know how to respond, he was shocked that the most popular guy on campus had just started talking to him.
“Umm yeh I’m doing alright thanks, how bout you?”
It was never an awkward moment with Harry, he was a socialite and loved talking. The two guys hung out for the rest of the night, Harry kept filling up Jake’s cup with liquor he had snuck in from his room. Jake got so blackout drunk he didn’t remember how the rest of the evening went.
The two boys met up at McDonald’s later that week. Jake walked in, to find Harry already sat at a booth having ordered several burgers and fries. Jake explained he had started a diet, and that he didn’t feel that hungry. But Harry insisted he ate the food he had spent money on. After the first bite Jake took of his BigMac, he immediately realised how good McDonald’s tasted, and how full and happy fast food made him feel. Harry kept handing burger after to burger to Jake, before Jake suddenly stopped to burp. The two guys both started laughing.
Each day Harry would ask to meet Jake at the on campus McDonald’s. Jake would always walk in to discover Harry had already bought him a load of burgers, fries and mcflurries. Jake couldn’t refuse to eat, as Harry had the power to permanently exclude him from all future frat parties. But Jake also didn’t want to refuse. Harry had reignited his fast food addiction, the very reason he had swelled to being 400lbs in the first place.
As the weeks progressed, Harry looked fondly at his new boyfriend. He had abused his position as the most popular guy on campus, and used it to coerce Jake into eating a fuck ton of calories each day. Jake quickly regained all the weight he had fought so tirelessly to lose, and surpassed 400lbs. He was now fatter than ever, and even as he struggled to walk each day to meet Harry at the on campus McDonald’s, he still wouldn’t refuse to scoff down several burgers and fries, along with pancakes and ice cream, just to please his the most popular guy on campus.

IDK that I've ever put it in one post before, but here's the transplant speedrun.
1 - Valentines day 2021, he's admitted to the hospital. We take a pre-hospital selfie then I shave his head and he shaves his beard because he doesn't want to deal with hair at the hospital. Me and his mom drop him off; at that point you can only visit someone as they are actually dying and we're told that he's going to stay in the hospital until he gets a transplant or he dies, and if he's rejected as a transplant recipient he'll receive palliative care in this hospital.
2 - First week of March, they allow patients to have one screened visitor; this is our first visit - I take photos in the hospital to show his mom because at this point he has a pump in his shoulder and it is difficult for him to move his arms to use his phone. He has also been confined to a bed since the week he arrived because he's on the ECMO machine, so he can't walk or move around, though they stand him up every once in a while. At one point one of the ecmo tubes pulls out of his femoral artery, which is Not! Great! He also needed a blood transfusion about every two days at that point, which worried the doctors because it increased his likelihood of rejecting. But he had been approved for transplant at that point!
The first thing he said to me on this visit was "look, I have abs" and then he showed me his abs because it turns out when you're really really dying of heart failure your body begins to eat itself.
3 - Now That's What I Call Jaundice (cardiac cirrhosis is liver failure as a result of heart failure and it's pretty much the big giant neon flashing sign of heart failure that says "hey you're fucking dying" so if you've got heart failure and your bilirubin number is off or the whites of your eyes are yellow please kick up a gigantic stink until they check your liver; large bastard's GP, who is my doctor, who I hate, saw his bloodwork with a very high bilirubin number a month before he was diagnosed with cardiac cirrhosis and wrote it off as a testing fluke fuck that guy)
4 - Don't let the sad face fool you, he's acting pathetic so that his mom will stop yelling about the fact that I'm bringing him cookies. He's allowed to have cookies. At that point he weighed 98kg and was outsourcing his heartbeat, he was allowed to eat whatever he wanted. (have i mentioned that I was moving us from Vegas to LA at this time? I was bringing him cookies because I'd baked hundreds of peanut butter cookies and other cookies to use up the flour, sugar, and peanut butter in the vegas house)
5 - Mid-march, he's got a match! He called me when I was in Vegas filling up the truck with another load and I drove right back and to the hospital. Once he went in for surgery I drove to his mom's house and crashed, then woke up and drove to our storage unit and unpacked the truck while I waited to hear from the doctors. I was unloading a bookcase when I got the call. (There wasn't any point in waiting alone in the hospital for sixteen hours; either he was going to make it or he wasn't and someone was going to have to unload the truck at some point. People have been weird about this, like I should have been sitting at his side all the time, but there was a two-hour daily limit for most visits and look i have sat in a waiting room while this dude had a thirteen hour surgery i do not need a repeat of that experience without the soothing balm of nicotine getting me through it; so unloading a truck it was)
6 - Two days after surgery and kind of mad about it. His chest hurt a lot (obviously) but, like, a lot a lot because they'd had to open him up for the bypass just two years earlier.
7 - First walk outside of his room after transplant in early April; he needed a LOT of PT because of how much muscle he'd lost. He lost sixty pounds in the hospital before the surgery, and only gained back about twenty while he was in there.
8 - A visit from the tiny doggo
9 - I come to visit and I've got a new phone with a portrait mode so he steals it and takes stupid pictures for a few minutes. Dude is bored and restless; this is in late april and he's feeling well enough to be moody. ETA: There is a jar of pickles in front of him because he'd been fluid limited for a long time and his salt levels were off and when he got to the hospital they were like "you need electrolytes and a lot of salt" and he was like "sweetheart can you please please please bring me delicious salty things" so I was bringing him jars of pickled mushrooms and garlic stuffed olives and just a huge number of pickles that he kept trying to share with the nurses. "Alli brought the mushrooms again; would you like a pickled mushroom? I have fancy toothpicks to share them with!"
10 - He comes home for the first time in early May; he ends up getting readmitted two more times because of complications before finally being released in early July. ETA: The second time he got readmitted it was for something that he wasn't at all worried about but that they needed to monitor for a couple weeks so he was *SO BORED* and actually feeling pretty okay; so at one point when I was leaving the parking garage at 8pm my car wouldn't start, I did some troubleshooting with the manual and the internet and didn't figure it out, so I called him and he tried to troubleshoot over the phone and got frustrated and was begging his nurses to let him come out to the parking structure to work on my car (they refused) - I ended up getting a tow and fixing it when I replaced the battery terminals.
Photos are all posted with his permission.
Also I dyed my hair purple between photos one and two because it's his favorite color. I also bought a blue dress, red tights, and yellow shoes to wear to visit him because he always teases me for wearing so much black.
I just love him a lot. It was a hard couple years there, but things are getting better.

Tumblr media
You pushed through the thick underbrush, heart pounding in your chest.
The forest around you was eerily still. No birds chirped, no insects buzzed – only the sound of your labored breathing and the squelch of slush beneath your feet filled the silence. It was unnatural, this quietness, and it pressed down on you, making the weight of your fear heavier with each step.
The trees seemed to close in on you, their twisted branches reaching out like skeletal fingers, as if to ensnare you and keep you trapped here. A cold, dampness clung to the air, seeping into your skin, and with it came an overwhelming sense of dread. Goosebumps prickled across your flesh despite the adrenaline surging through your veins. You couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching you, lurking just beyond the veil of trees, waiting for the moment you would falter. But you pressed on, driven by the need to escape. To get far away from that wretched castle.
Then, through the dense weave of trunks and branches, you glimpsed a clearing up ahead.
Relief flooded through you as the forest began to thin and you could finally see the open sky beyond the tree line. The cool, crisp air felt less suffocating now, and the oppressive silence began to lift.
In the clearing sat a small, weathered house on the outskirts of your home village, its stone chimney puffing out light wisps of smoke that curled lazily into the blue afternoon sky. At the front of the house stood an older man, his worn face partially obscured by the shadow of his wide-brimmed hat. His shirt sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, revealing strong, sinewy forearms as he swung his axe in a steady, rhythmic arc. Each strike landed with a deep, satisfying thud, splitting the logs on the chopping block cleanly in two. Nearby, a woman stood beside a clothesline, pinning up a white bedsheet.
As you came into view, their eyes snapped onto you.
Confusion flickered across their faces before swiftly morphing into alarm. The man’s swing faltered, his grip loosening on the handle as if it suddenly weighed too much. The heavy axe slipped from his fingers and thudded into the dirt, forgotten. The woman froze mid-motion, her hands hovering over the clothesline, the pins dangling uselessly in her grip. Both stared at you, their mouths slightly parted, wide-eyed and silent. The color drained from their faces, as though seeing you was something beyond unexpected – something wrong.
You tore your gaze away, the weight of their stares pressing heavily against your back as you bolted past them.
You soon caught the scent of smoke – thick and sharp, laced with the earthy richness of soil and burning wood. You were close now. The village chimneys had to be just beyond the next hill. The ache in your legs barely registered anymore as the familiar rooftops of your home village finally came into view.
You slowed to a normal pace as you entered the village center.
The cobblestone path beneath your feet was just as you remembered it, worn smooth from years of footfall, with tufts of grass sprouting between the cracks like stubborn survivors. The familiar cottages lined the road, their thatched roofs and weathered wooden walls still standing strong against the passage of time. Despite everything you had been through, this place was untouched, like it’s been frozen in time since the day you were taken three months ago.
Your eyes flickered from house to house, catching glimpses of villagers going about their daily lives. Everything appeared normal: a young woman scrubbed clothes in a wooden basin, her hands working rigorously, though they paused mid-scrub as she caught sight of you. Her mouth parted in silent surprise, eyes widening as if she couldn't quite believe what she was seeing. Further down, an elderly man who had been tending to his small garden straightened, his wrinkled face going slack with shock as his eyes met yours. Children playing and chasing one another in the center stopped their game once they saw you as well, their laughter dying as they stood frozen, wide-eyed, and confused.
One by one, they all turned to stare at you.
The rhythm of the village came to a standstill. The clatter of daily life – the scrape of tools, the splash of water, the murmur of voices – faded into an eerie silence. Whispered conversations replaced them, soft and hushed.
You could feel their disbelief, their fear – how could you be here?
You, who had been dragged away in the dead of night, taken to Castle Dimitrescu, a place no one returned from. And yet here you were, standing in front of them, unmistakably alive.
Their eyes burned through you. It wasn’t just your face they studied, but the clothes you wore. The servant’s uniform clung to your skin like a foreign presence, its fine, embroidered fabric so out of place in your home village. It would be the most luxurious thing these people had ever seen. It only heightened the gap between you and them. You were one of them once, but now? Now you were something else, something apart.
The whispers grew louder, more frantic, the air thick with suspicion and curiosity.
You had to get a move on.
Your heart pounded in your chest as you pushed through the narrow roads, heading toward your parents' home. You kept your head down, the uniform pulling tighter with each movement.
Your footsteps echoed dully on the cobblestones as the sight of your home grew closer. It was just as you remembered it: the sturdy wooden walls, worn with age, still bore the same cracks from long-forgotten storms. Even the shutters hung slightly askew, paint peeling just like they had years ago.
You stopped for a moment, swallowing hard as you gazed at your home.
How will your parents react to seeing you?
You had been gone for so long, they must have feared the worst. The thought gnawed at you, twisting your stomach with worry, but you needed to see them again. You needed them to know that you were still alive; the guilt of missing this chance would haunt you if you didn't take it.
With a deep breath, you squared your shoulders and approached the front door. You raised a trembling hand, feeling the cold metal of the door handle underneath your fingertips. You pushed the door open. The familiar creak of the hinges sent a wave of bittersweet nostalgia through you. You paused for a moment just inside, listening to the quiet rustle of movement in the next room.
Then you heard it – a voice. Your mother’s voice, soft and soothing, humming one of the many lullabies she used to sing to you as a child. The sound was so achingly familiar that it almost brought tears to your eyes. You let out a heavy exhale and closed the door behind you. Slowly, you made your way to the back of the house. As you reached the kitchen, you saw her. Your mother, standing at the table, her hands covered in flour as she kneaded dough. Her hair was streaked greyer than you remember, but her face was the same – kind and full of warmth.
When she looked up and her eyes met yours, a look of shock and disbelief crossed her face. The dough slipped from her fingers, falling forgotten onto the table as she took in the sight of you standing there. For a long, breathless moment, the world seemed to stop spinning.
Then, without a word, she stumbled forward, her arms reaching out in an urgent, desperate motion. When she finally closed the distance between you, she enveloped you in a fierce embrace. Her arms wrapped around you with such intensity that it was almost painful, but you didn’t care. You clung to her as if she was the only thing anchoring you to this world.
“I thought I’d lost you forever.” Your mother whispered, her voice cracking with emotion.
You couldn’t find the words to reply. All you could do was hold your mother close.
You buried your face into her shoulder, inhaling her comforting scent, a blend of lavender and vanilla. Her hands shook as she stroked your hair, still murmuring words you could barely make out. You’re not even sure what she’s saying – just that it was full of relief.
Suddenly, a creak echoed from down the hallway. You both turned toward the sound. Your father stepped into view, rubbing sleep from his eyes.
“What’s going on? I thought I heard-”
His voice trailed off as he took in the sight of the two of you huddled together. For a moment, he simply stared, as if he couldn’t trust what he was seeing. His brows knit together in confusion, his mouth parting slightly as he struggled to grasp the reality before him. Your mother quickly wiped away the tears that glistened on her cheeks, trying to regain her composure.
“It’s alright,” she said, her voice steadier now but still thick with emotion. “She’s here. She’s really here.”
Your father’s gaze remained locked on you, but his voice cracked, barely above a whisper. “Is it…?” He took a tentative step closer, his hand gripping the doorframe for support, as if he might collapse if he let go. “It can’t be.”
“It’s me, papa,” you managed to say, your voice wavering despite your best efforts to stay strong. “I’m here.”
Your father’s resolve crumbled at your words. He immediately closed the distance and before you knew it, he wrapped you in his arms. The hug was tight, more desperate than your mother’s, as if he feared that if he let go, you might vanish again. His chest shook against yours, and you could feel the warmth of his tears seeping into your shoulder.
“I missed you so much.” He choked on the words.
Your mother, still hovering close, reached out to take your hand. “We never stopped thinking about you, not for a single day. We always hoped that you would come back to us.”
You couldn’t hold back anymore. All the fear, the pain, the darkness that’s haunted you since you were brought to the castle, it all welled up and spilled over in a flood of tears. You leaned into them both, letting the weight of everything you’ve carried finally lift, even if just for a moment. It’s not gone – not by a long shot – but standing here between your parents, you felt something you haven’t felt since the day you were forcibly taken; love.
Your father pulled back slightly, his hands gripping your shoulders. His brows furrowed deeply, concern and confusion etched into every line of his face.
“How did you even manage to escape?”
You took a shaky breath, your heart still racing from the memory.
“I had some help,” you murmured, swallowing the lump in your throat. The faces of Catalina and the maid who gave you the note flashed in your mind briefly. “One of the staff slipped me a note... told me where the main house key was hidden. I just had to wait for the right moment when I didn't have the Lady's or her daughter’s attention on me.”
Your father leaned forward, his voice low and edged with worry. “Will they come looking for you?”
A cold shiver slithered down your spine as you knew the answer to that question all too well. You nodded slowly.
“They will.” You admitted, swallowing against the tightness in your throat.
Your father's face darkened as he clenched his jaw with determination. “We’ll protect you. Whatever it takes, we’ll keep you safe here. We could hide you.”
You knew he meant it – he would stand between you and any threat – but you also knew what Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters were capable of. The lengths the lady would go to in order to retrieve what she considered “hers” were beyond their understanding. The thought of her daughters descending on your village, tearing through homes and lives, made your stomach churn.
Your fists clenched, nails digging into your palms as you stared at the worn floorboards beneath your feet. Every ounce of your being longed to stay with your parents, to hold onto the comfort and safety of home, but you knew, deep down, that staying here would only invite more danger. You finally shook your head.
“No, I can’t let you do that.” You said, your voice firmer than you expected.
Your father’s stern expression softened, though his resolve remained unshaken. “We’re not giving up on you. You just came back to us.” His voice wavered slightly near the end.
Your mother's hand tightened around your own. “We can’t stand by and watch you face this alone.”
“I know,” you said solemnly. “But if I stay here, you’ll all be in danger, including the others, and I can’t risk that. It’s the only way to keep you safe.” You could feel the burn of tears welling up behind your eyes, but you blinked them back. “I just needed to see you two again.”
Your parents exchanged worried glances with each other, a silent conversation passing between them. For a moment, you thought your father might try to stop you, pull you into an embrace, and refuse to let you go. But instead, his hand slowly dropped, defeated. “Okay,” he sighed, his voice heavy with resignation. “You know we’ll always be here for you.”
You offered a tight smile, one that barely masked the knot tightening in your chest. You hugged them both again, lingering a bit longer, memorizing their warmth as if it might be the last time you’d feel it. As you stepped back, you noticed the fear in your mother’s eyes.
“Please stay safe.” Your mother pleaded.
“I’ll be careful.” You promised, squeezing her hand tightly in yours.
She gave a small nod, her eyes still clouded with worry. “Let me at least pack you some extra layers and food before you go.” She insisted.
Without waiting for a response, she was already walking down the hallway. You turned your attention back to your father. His gaze was heavy with all the unsaid things hanging between you: warnings, well-meaning advice, and unspoken fears. He then turned and moved to a drawer near the living room. He pulled out a worn, steel revolver, its cold metal reflecting the soft light. The gun had seen better days, its surface scarred by time and use.
With a solemn expression, he walked back over to you.
“Take this,” he said, holding the revolver out to you. “Just… make sure you don’t take unnecessary risks. And remember, no matter what happens, we’re here for you.”
You could see the pain in his eyes, the fear of losing you that he struggled to hide.
“I promise, papa.” You replied as you accepted the revolver, tucking it under your waistband. You wished you could offer your father more comfort.
Your mother returned a minute later, carrying a large duffel bag and your thick jacket. Her eyes were red-rimmed and glistening. The sight made your heart ache even more.
“Everything you might need is in here,” she said softly, her voice trembling despite her efforts to stay strong. “Clothes, some food, and a few personal items. I put in that quilt too. I know it’s bulky, but-” Her voice broke slightly, and she bit her lip so hard that it turned a stark, painful white.
You reached for the thick jacket, feeling its comforting weight as you pulled it on. You then took the duffel bag from her and slung it over your shoulder.
“Thank you, mama.” You said, trying to keep your voice steady despite the lump forming in your throat.
She reached out with trembling fingers, brushing a stray lock of hair from your face. You stepped forward and hugged them one last time, your arms wrapping around them as tightly as you could. When you finally pulled away, the heaviness in your chest felt like a leaden anchor, dragging you down even as you turned to leave.
“I love you.” Your voice cracked.
“We love you too.” Your father said softly.
He wrapped an arm around your mother’s shoulder and drew her in close. His eyes shone with unshed tears, mirroring the anguish in your mother’s gaze.
You finally stepped out of the house, the cool evening air brushing against your skin. The sky above was a deepening shade of indigo, with the first stars starting to pierce through the twilight.
With one final, lingering glance back, you saw your parents standing by the doorway, watching you wander off. The sight was almost too much to bear. You fought to hold back the tears that threatened to spill over. You took a deep breath and began to make your way toward the tree line.
Most villagers had retreated indoors by now. Only a few remained outside, giving you odd stares as you passed them. You quickened your pace, feeling the weight of their gazes on the back of your head.
The trees ahead loomed larger with every step. The air was crisp, tinged with the scent of pine and frost, each breath forming fleeting clouds that dissipated almost immediately.
As you trudged through the forest, the idea of leaving the village altogether flickered in your mind. You imagined escaping to somewhere far from the horrors of Castle Dimitrescu. Yet, that thought was immediately squashed down. You knew that was too risky due to the Lycans that prowled around the outskirts of the forest.
No one had ever made it past them. Stories told of those who had tried over the past few decades had vanished without a trace. Never to be seen again. Their fates were as much a part of the forest’s lore as the whispering wind through the trees.
A deep sigh escaped your lips, mingling with the cold air. The darkness was creeping in, casting an ominous veil over the forest. Finding shelter had to be your foremost concern now.
***
You wandered on in a daze, your sense of time slipping away like sand through your fingers.
As the trees seemed to blur together, you spotted an old, gnarled tree standing apart from the others.
In the shadow of the tree, you noticed something strange – a faint outline, a hollow space nestled within the roots and vines. The entrance was partially obscured, concealed by the overgrowth that clung to the ancient bark, yet it was wide enough for you to slip through. With a cautious glance around, you crouched low and carefully maneuvered your way inside. The air within was musty but cool. You found a relatively clean patch of earth amidst the clutter of roots and twigs and settled yourself down.
With a sigh of relief, you placed your bag on the ground and leaned back against the rough bark of the tree. Its coarse texture against your back was oddly grounding. You tilted your head backward and exhaled slowly, allowing your eyes to flutter closed.
A sense of peace settled over you as you allowed yourself to rest, even if just for a little while.

baby fever
words: 1.4k
warnings: smut!, 18+ only, unprotected sex
“baby, are you okay?” rafe asks, pressing a kiss to the top of your head as he walks past, carrying a box to a different room. you were helping him unpack into his new house but only big boxes were left, and rafe refuses to let you carry anything that you would even remotely struggle with.
“fine.” you say, but rafe can tell by your voice that you’re saying it with a pout on your face.
“baby.” rafe scolds, coming to sit next to you.
“it’s just… my cousin had her baby and she’s posting the cutest things on instagram and well… i have baby fever.”
rafe chuckles, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “you want a baby?” he asks.
“of course, they’re just so cute and i know i’m young but i would be such a good mother and-” you suddenly realize that rafe isn’t thinking about it in the same fantastical way that you are, “i mean not right this moment. just in general.”
rafe nods in understanding, pressing a kiss to your cheek as you show him a picture of the baby on instagram, a beautiful healthy little girl, weighing in at exactly 6 pounds 8 ounces.
“can’t wait to have a baby with you.” rafe says, and you snap your head to look at him, locking your phone and setting it on the couch cushion next to you.
“you want to have a baby with me?” you ask. you’ve talked about your future with rafe plenty of times, but never really about starting a family or when that would happen.
“of course.” rafe cups your cheek in his large hand. “gonna marry you one day.” he presses his lips against yours, “have lots of babies.” he kisses you again, and you let yourself get lost in the rhythm of your lips sliding against each other.
you shift so you can straddle rafe, and he wraps his arms around your waist to pull your body close. you let out a moan against his lips when you feel that his cock is swelling beneath his sweatpants.
you are both tired from the day of moving, but you need rafe more than anything. you quickly take your shirt off before reconnecting your lips, letting rafes adept hands undo your bra, tossing it somewhere in the room.
his hands cup your breast, massaging them gently in his warm palms before swiping his thumbs over your nipples, making them grow hard. you shiver at the sensation, grinding your pussy against his crotch.
“fuck, i need you now.” rafe pulls away to take his own shirt off. you stand up, unbuttoning your shorts and taking your underwear off at the same time as them, not wanting to waste any time.
rafe lifts his hips to take his pants and underwear off before you’re back on top of him. you grind your bare cunt against his cock, spreading your wetness. rafe lets out a moan at the sensation. “baby, i love you.”
you smile, giving rafe a sweet peck on the lips. “i love you too.”
suddenly rafe flips you so you can lie down with your back on the plush couch cushions. rafe bends down your body to take your nipple into his mouth, giving it a harsh suck while his free hand goes to your wet pussy, thumb rubbing over your clit. you let out a gasp as he moves to the other side of your chest.
“fuck me, rafey, please, need you so much.” usually youd let rafe finger you or eat you out beforehand, whatever he pleased, but you need to feel connected right now, joined together.
rafe nods, coming up to peck your lips quickly before looking down, grasping his cock to line it up with your entrance.
“deep breath for me baby, you’re doing so good.” rafe soothes you as he begins to push in with ease.
you whimper when he’s all the way inside, hips pressed as far into your body as possible. “move.” you command, leaning your head back and closing your eyes in preparation for his thrusts, but it doesn’t come.
“gonna put a baby in you one day.” rafe says huskily, draping his body over yours.
you let out a moan, attempting to wiggle your hips to get him to move, needing it now more than ever at the thought of your tummy swelling with rafes baby.
“gonna marry you, buy you the biggest ring.” rafe presses a kiss against your neck.
“gonna spend the rest of our lives together, huh?” he asks, and you nod quickly, wanting nothing more than that.
“please move.” you beg, feeling tears well up in your eyes.
“move baby?” rafe mouths open in fake offense. “i’m talking about our future and all you can think about is your pussy?” “rafeyyy.” you whine, clenching your pussy around his cock, hoping that gets him moving.
“gonna make you so happy, huh? does that sound good to you my princess? big diamond on your finger, house full of babies running around?”
you nod, closing your eyes to imagine the future with rafe, the amount of happiness and love that would be in that house. you’re in your little dreamland when suddenly rafe pulls almost all the way out and then thrusts quickly back in.
“ahh!” your back arches up, tears now flowing down your cheeks.
“part of making you happy is also keeping this pretty pussy happy, huh? want me to fuck you?”
you nod quickly, “yes, yes, rafe. fuck me please, you make me so happy, so happy.” you babble.
rafe begins to snap his hips into you in earnest. you raise your hips to meet his thrusts, bodies coming together in an explosion of pleasure. rafe presses a thumb against your clit, rubbing it gently.
“love you y/n.” rafe presses his lips against your mouth in a half-kiss, but you can barely kiss back as you let out a moan with every thrust. “love you so much.”
you nod, hoping he understands that you’re trying to say that you love him back, but you can’t form words as your clit begins to pulse, trying to wait for rafe to also cum, but you can’t hold back anymore, his cock pressing against that sweet spot inside of you and his thumb rubbing your sensitive clit.
“rafe!” you shout, the one word you’re able to form as your orgasm sweeps over your body, back arching as rafe presses down against you, mouth coming to bite between your neck and your shoulder as he pushes through your clenching pussy to cum deep inside of you, releasing with a final shout of your name.
“y/n, y/n.” rafe pants as you feel him filling you up. you imagine, just for a second, that you hadn’t taken your birth control pill this morning, that he was giving you his seed, and you would grow a little mini rafe in your tummy.
rafe collapses on top of you, completely spent. he pulls out after a moment, but can’t get it in him to get up yet. you scratch your fingers over his skull, and rafe gives an approving hum.
“love you too.” you coo, finally able to respond.
rafe chuckles, picking his head up to give you a sweet kiss. “you know i was serious about all that, right?” rafe asks, sitting himself up and pulling you with him so you’re both sitting on the couch.
you feel the slight urge to cry again, big happy tears full of love with rafe and hope for your future. “i would love nothing more than to marry you and start a family some day.” you know you’re still young, that you have plenty of time, but you’re so deeply in love, you just know that rafe is the one for you.
“well to start that out,” rafe stands up, grabbing his underwear and pulling them on as he heads to grab something off the dining room table. you furrow your brow in confusion, grabbing his shirt and putting it on.
rafe comes back and sits down on the couch, handing you a small gift box. you smile as you undo the ribbon, opening it up to reveal a key.
“rafe?” you ask, hope in your eyes as you look up at him.
“move in with me? this house is too big to be here all alone, and i want to spend every minute with you.”
“oh rafey, yes!” you throw your arms around his shoulders, pressing kisses all over his face.
“i love you.” rafe squeezes your sides. “even if you’ve turned me into a big sap.”
you giggle, pressing a kiss to rafes lips. “i love you too.”

Howl like a wolf (Prologue) – Kinktober 16
Tumblr media
Summary: You are interested in the new alpha in town.
Pairing: Alpha!Anders Lassen x Omega!Reader
Warnings: a/b/o, chasing kink (implied), scenting, love-struck reader
Trope: a/b/o
Kinktober vs Flufftober 2024
Tumblr media
The alpha is huge. Taller than any alpha you've seen before. He must be taller than 6’. He has a muscular build, and you guess he weighs at least 250 pounds.
You watch him from afar, eyes glued to him if you get the chance. Not only to admire him but to draw him too.
Most of the people in town are intimidated by his rugged appearance, but you are rather curious about his past and what brought him to your sleepy little town.
You dreamily sigh as you draw his strong jawline. He looks like a real man, not the guys in town trying to court you. His cute little glasses make him look less rough, but you know better than to underestimate the tall alpha.
His physical presence intimidates even alphas, and you’re not dumb enough to get in his way. But a girl can dream, right?
You smile yourself hearing his deep voice beckoning as he talks to one of the town folks. He’s glancing your way while adjusting his glasses. You drop your eyes to finish your drawing. The last thing you want is for him to catch you staring at the alpha.
When you look his way again, the alpha is gone. You crane your neck, but he’s nowhere to be seen. You sigh because now you cannot finish your drawing. As you get up from your seat at the small café you like to spend your free time drinking tea and drawing, someone follows your every move.
Tumblr media
It’s a few days later that you sent the alpha near your favorite café. He must’ve passed by not moments ago. Your toes curl and you purr low in your throat when the faded scent gets stronger.
Your breath hitches in your throat, seeing the alpha walk past you. He doesn’t look your way, but you still tremble in need when you scent him.
Tumblr media
“Anders, how are you?” The alpha looks up from his food to look at the owner of the diner. He likes to come here. The food is good but cheap, and people mostly leave him alone.
“Not bad, Earl,” Anders replies and goes back to shoveling the food he ordered in his mouth. “The food is good.”
“You’re welcome to come here anytime,” the owner chuckles. He likes the tall but friendly Alpha. Maybe it’s his age. Life taught him to not judge a book by its cover. “The food is always good.”
“Thanks,” Anders drawls. His accent is still thick, but Earl doesn’t seem to mind. His hearing is not the best, but he understands Anders well enough. “What do I owe you, Earl?”
Earl and Anders chat for a moment while you watch the alpha from afar. You made up your mind and decided to get his attention. One way or another. What little you know about the alpha is that he’s a passionate hunter. Or so you heard.
If like a good chase, who are you to deny him?
Tumblr media
You smile to yourself. This is your chance to get the alpha’s attention. While he talked to Earl, you stole his wallet out of his jacket. You rubbed your scent into the fabric, making sure Anders could smell you on his jacket.
Now he’s following you around town, sniffing in all directions. The chase is on, and you can’t wait for Anders to catch you...

for eternity | jack champion
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
↳ pairing : beachgirl!reader x actor!jackchampion
↳ warnings : nothing much but pure fluff, insecurity, comfort
↳ summary : after a long year of filming for scream 6, you, jack, and the other cast members decide to take a trip to one of their beach houses along the coast. you two spend some time together on the beach, only for him to end up confessing his love.
↳ a/n : hey guys!! sry its been a while, but i would really love if any of you guys dropped some requests!!
------------------------------------------------------------
"okay okay!!" jenna screamed as she looked around at everyone. "there's gonna be two cars."
she started naming everyone's assigned seats (just for fun), but you weren't paying attention. you were paying attention to jack. he was there in a little puffy jacket, since he got cold so easily.
his curls looked perfect that day. but not like they always were. you loved his hair. sometimes you just wanted to hug him so tight and mess around with his curly hair.
"and in the backback seat is gonna be y/n and jack!" jenna gave you a smirk.
she knew that you had the biggest crush on him ever since you two started filming. you were his 'love interest' and the directers told you that you guys had to spend quality time together.
but you and jack enjoyed each other's company, without any of the directors orders. sometimes you thought that jack liked you, but you were just too delusional.
you nodded as you walked over to jack. he looked and smiled back at you. now it was his turn to stare.
jack liked you for forever. he started liking you when he saw a movie that you were in. he was practically in love with you. in his eyes, you were basically the only girl living.
but he didn't know how to show it.
---------------
jack insisted that you went into the very backseat first. your tummy flustered at his action, but he was just being a gentlemen you thought.
the backback seat was very tight for some reason. so now, you two were basically squished. it wasn't awkward or anything, you two were very close.
"hope your not claustrophobic." you laughed.
his face looked like he was gonna puke, "now i am because i'm next to you." he joked.
you opened your mouth, about to say something, but he covered your mouth with his hand.
he could feel your cheeks burning through his palm, and he smiled softly at the expression and feeling. he patted his lap.
"cmere.." he said softly. "it's gonna be a long drive."
you rolled your eyes playfully. "dude the drive is an hour."
he chuckled softly. "so? lay down, cus when we get there i'm throwing you into the ocean."
"cant wait for that." you said as you laid your head down on his lap.
he was honestly so comfy, and so warm. he smelled good too. he was surprised at his own demand of making you lay down on his lap, but he wanted more.
he laid his hands down on your head and started to massage your scalp. you adjusted yourself to be more comfortable, trying to avoid him seeing your face completely red. the others in the front and other back were too busy talking to notice. but jack liked it. he liked being alone with you, just the two of you.
you eventually dozed off to sleep, and jack did too. his hands were now placed on your waist and shoulder, keeping you safe and secure, even though no one was there.
---------------
"cmon sleepy head." jack teased as you stumbled of the car.
everyone finally arrived to the rented beach house in time. the house was just in front of the beach, the type where the backyard door just led to the ocean and sand.
"i'm weak jack!! i'm done forr.." you groaned, pretending that you bag weighed 1,000 pounds.
he rolled his eyes and ran over to help you. he grabbed the strap of your backpack and lifted it up with no effort.
"the hell?!" he laughed.
he heard you snicker in the back of him. "you little liar!!" he grabbed your waist and picked you up.
"jack!! what the heck-" he put you over his shoulder, "oh my gosh jack if you drop me!" you screamed playfully.
"i won't" baby. he almost said it. he practically thanked the gods that he stopped saying what he was gonna say.
you gave up your efforts of trying to get down. but deep down in your heart, you really enjoyed being so close to him all the time. first the car ride, now this? it had to be a dream for you, but you always were overthinking. jack was just being a good friend. nothing else.
but it wasn't like that in jacks case. jack adored you. his eyes were only for you and forever for you. he would practically worship the ground you walked on. or he would paint every sunset you saw. he really hoped you felt the same way.
after everyone got into their rooms, you and jack started to unpack. the room was a good size, and there was one big bed.
"can you unpack fasterr??" you begged as jack folded every single piece of clothing.
"patience y/n.." he laughed inside as he saw that all you wanted was to go to the beach.
everyone was already unpacked, and they all decided to order panda express and play mario kart. but you nor jack wanted to. you begged him to go to the beach with him and watch the sunset.
he folded his last hoodie and he closed the drawer. "done!" he sighed, seeing a big grin on your face.
"finally gosh." you looked at his outfit.
you were already in your bikini. it was jack's favorite one, but you didn't have to know that. it clung your body so perfectly. sometimes jack wished that you saw yourself in jacks eyes. so beautiful.
"what?" he stared confused.
"where's your bathing suit?"
"oh! yeah." he grabbed the end of his shirt and took it off.
youve seen him shirtless before at the pool parties, but boy he was mesmorizing. his abs were toned so perfectly with his skin.
he caught you staring, and he couldn't help but turn a bright shade of pink. he cleared his throat. "my eyes are up here.." he teased.
you blinked before meeting his gaze. "i just zoned out jeezzz, don't worry, those crazy fan girls will take you all for themselves." you rolled your eyes playfully
"hmmm but what they don't know is that theres a special someonee." he hummed.
you gasped. you tried to pretend that you didn't like him, so he could spit out his crush. theres a part of you that was praying that it was going to be you.
"whoo?! who is it who is it." you started to punch his chest softly.
"stop-pp-" he giggled, since he was so ticlish. he blushed strongly again.
"let's just go to the beach you little baby." he ruslted you hair.
you rolled your eyes, "finee."
-------------
the sunset was beautiful tonight. jack thought for a moment. for some reason, whenever he saw a sunset, he thought of you. you were his sunset. his light.
he turned to you, seeing the colors of the sky through your pupils. you turned to him and met his gaze. you two held eye contact for which seemed like forever, until you heared a two shrieks.
"o-m-g!! jack champion!!" some two girls near you and jack's age came running offer.
"that's me..!" he said as he cringed to himself.
he looked a little uncomfortable. he was. a perfect moment with his girl ruined. well, in his mind you were his girl.
"can we pleasee take a photo with you??" they begged.
before jack said yes, they both gave you nasty looks. jack noticed their gaze towards you, and he also noticed you reaction. he saw that you were hurt, and that you were looking at one of the girl's bodies.
'she was really pretty' you thought. jack mustve liked her or something since he did a little pose with her, you also thought.
jack didn't though. ever since he met you, he never liked anyone else. and he knew it was going to stay like that.
after a few more pictures, they finally left. he gave a big sigh and sat on the towel next to you again. "told you." you said.
he turned, his curly hair moving along with his head.
"told me what?"
"those fans girls are gonna snatch you up quick."
he chuckled softly, saddened that you thought like that. "nahh, what makes you think that?"
"they were very pretty. perfect bodies too." you brought your knees to your chest and hugged them tight.
jacks eyes turned into guilt and sadness. "well your pretty too.." he said softly.
"yeah but-" you pointed out, "how could a guy not go for girls like them? they got the whole package and stuff."
he paused, scared off what to say next, hoping that it doesn't ruin your friendship. "but maybe.." he whispered.
"maybe some guys don't want annoying girls like them."
you turned your head, finding jack already admiring you. "y/n i-" he stuttered.
why was it so hard to speak? maybe it was because he was confessing his only one true love towards you.
"i'm in love with you. and i know it doesn't make sense because were not even dating, so im not really supposed to say-" he rambled before his words were cut off with your lips.
his breath stopped before he accepted the lustfull kiss. his lips were soft, but filled with such need that hes been keeping. his hands cupped your head as you two started to learn each other's movements.
you finally pulled away and pressed your forehead to his. "your so perfect.." he whispered.
"jack i-" you gulped. "i love you so much, words can't even explain."
"words can't explain how beautiful you are in my eyes y/n. i will love you for eternity." he said.
and with that, you pulled his face towards yours for another deep and loving kiss.

Loki's Silent Sentry (Part 3)
Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7
Pairing: Loki x female reader (y/n)
Summary: You are not just a soldier in Asgard's Royal Army, you are Lieutenant Y/L/N, Prince Loki's personal guard, his sentry and you are not supposed to fall in love with him. If you followed your training properly, you should never have even spoken to him. As a sentry, you are expected to remain silent and invisible as you shadow your appointed member of the royal family or member of the court protectively throughout their daily tasks.
Rumors (that happen to be true) begin to circulate through the palace that you serve the younger prince of Asgard both outside and inside his chambers. There is little you can do once word of your off duty activities spread through every maid, cook, gardener and seamstress in the palace. You soon find even the soldiers in your own company are now questioning how exactly you had come to earn your seemingly quick rise to lieutenant.
As the annual Winter Solstice Ball approaches, you come to the heartbreaking realization that your relationship with Loki must come to an end if you are both to fulfill your duties.
Warnings: Angst, arguing, Thor trying to be a better brother, Odin being a terrible father
A/N: I know this was only supposed to be three parts but you guys know not to believe me when I say stuff like that lol... enjoy 💚
Tumblr media
You close your eyes as he pulls you tighter to him, you are sure he can feel your heart pounding in your chest. "Are you really here?" you ask in a whisper. You fear he will vanish like one of his illusions the second you let go of him.
"I'm here my love," he reassures you. He kisses the top of your head and you look up at him. "Follow me," he says in a low voice.
You smile and nod without caring where you are going, you will always follow him anywhere.
He takes your hand and leads you into the room he came out of. You can see he has been busy with his magic, his abilities have always thrilled and impressed you. The magically altered office is twice as large inside as it should be and is an exact replica of his chambers. You look around in awe and can't help but wonder if this isn't an illusion but one of his transportation spells.
He smiles with pride at your reaction and puts his arm around your waist, pulling you close to him again.
"How did you do all of this?" you ask. "Its amazing... you're amazing," you tell him as you turn in his arms to face him.
"I'm afraid the young corporal spent has a large portion of her time this week dutifully guarding my empty office," he jokes and you laugh with him.
"Gods, is that why you requested a new sentry?" you ask.
He smiles mischievously, "Sergeant Tones paid far too much attention to my comings and goings." He strokes your cheek slowly and says, "Now, enough about them," he leans down to kiss your lips and you kiss him back, gripping the fabric of his shirt. Without breaking the kiss, he waves his hand slightly and your armor suddenly vanishes. You smile against his lips, feeling the added weight disappear and his hands rest on the back of your shirt.
You look up at him and say, "I've missed you so much. Did your mother tell you?"
He nods and takes your hand, leading you to the sofa where you sit close together, his arm around your waist and your hand on his knee. "She told me," he answers. "There are only two people in this world I have ever been able to confide in, you and my mother." He pauses for a moment then says, "After you left the throne room, my mother and I went to her private library. I needed her to know how much I care for you, how much you mean to me. I was still afraid my father would find a reason to send you away somewhere but she promised me she would protect you."
"She's been very kind to me," you tell him, smiling to reassure him that you are okay. "You're very lucky to have a mother like her."
He nods in agreement but you can see something is weighing him down. "Loki, what's wrong?" you ask in a worried tone.
"I hate this," he says after a moment. "I hate not being able to see you and when I do, I'm barely allowed to look at you. I hate being able to give you orders but not speak to you. I hate having to pretend that you mean nothing to me. I don't know how much longer I can stand to be without you."
You kiss him and you feel him relax slowly in your arms. "Our passing moments together will never be enough for me but I promise you, I savor every second I see you or hear your voice," you tell him.
He smiles at your response then you can see his attention shift and he says, "I need to tell you something."
"You can tell me anything," you remind him.
"Your paperwork for the transfer wasn't denied... I never submitted it to your captain," he admits, "And I was never going to."
You look at him in shock and he continues.
"I'm so sorry I lied to you. I know it was wrong and I swear on all the Gods that I've never lied to you before but... I just couldn't let you leave me," he says, you can hear the worry in his voice.
You can't help but let out a laugh and he shifts uncomfortably. "I'm sorry," you smile but he still looks concerned. "A part of me was desperately hoping you would somehow delay the transfer. I never wanted to leave you," you admit. "I was a fool for thinking if we were apart, I would be able to move on."
He smiles and kisses you again, his hands traveling up and down the back of your thin shirt. "Stay here with me tonight," he says between kisses. He doesn't say it as a prince ordering his sentry but you obey his request without a second thought.
Tumblr media
You stand quietly in front of the queen's office, eagerly awaiting the end of her current meeting. She had informed you this morning that her last meeting was going to be with her youngest son. You couldn't wait to see him, even though you knew it would be brief and he would be unable to speak to you. Any second you saw him outside of the time the two of you stole was appreciated greatly.
It is almost three months since your new Sunday night routine with Loki began. He would slip through the palace with ease after he dismissed his sentry for the night and you would take a left at the top of the stairs after his mother released you.
While hidden away, surrounded by his illusion, the two of you could pretend everything was perfect. You love him with all of your heart and he loves you back just as fiercely. He would kiss you and hold you and tell you that you were his but the moment the sun came up, everything would change. You always did your best to hold back your emotions as you put your armor on and returned to your silent duties.
It devastated you every time you needed to leave him but you kept your pain to yourself. You were afraid to ruin the small window of time you had with wishes and false hope that things could somehow be different.
Tumblr media
You follow the queen as she moves gracefully through the long marble halls of the palace, her dress flowing around her. You groan internally when a third council member stops to greet her, delaying your arrival at the prince's office yet again. She nods politely at his failed attempt at what you assume was a joke and kindly excuses herself.
After what seems like hours, you finally you turn the corner and his office is in sight, your heart races knowing you will see him even if it is just for a moment.
You can see his young sentry leaning against the wall behind her and remember how heavy your armor was when you first started. She hears you approaching and stands at attention. You signal for her to knock and announce the queen's presence which she does quickly, it is easy to see how nervous she is. You can't fault her for being anxious around the royal family, especially when you are terrified of the king and less than fond of the older prince.
The door opens and you hold back the smile that tries to slip free when he steps out into the hall. "Hello mother," he smiles at her and she embraces him.
"Good luck with your meeting," she says after taking a step back.
You look between the queen and Loki in shock when you realize she is talking to you. "I'm sorry your highness?" you say quietly.
"Prince Loki has something to discuss with you, Lieutenant Y/L/N. Corporal Glasgow will be temporarily assigned to me for the remainder of the day," she says.
You and the corporal exchange a quick look with a mix of surprise and confusion. It was not protocol to simply switch sentries, especially in the middle of a shift but neither of you were in a position to question the queen. The new guard bows to Queen Frigga and Prince Loki, then without another word they leave the way you came.
Tumblr media
You find yourself standing in front of Loki, completely alone and unsure why. It was only Tuesday, had something happened that couldn't wait until Sunday? Your mind suddenly races with all the horrid things that keep you awake at night. Had someone discovered the two of you have been sneaking off together? Were you being sent to a post far from the palace? Had he finally gotten engaged to a woman his father and the kingdom would approve of? Both Loki and the queen were far too calm for any of these to be true but you couldn't push the thoughts away.
He motions for you to follow him and you close the door upon entering his office. Your fears subside momentarily when Loki pulls you into his arms. You close your eyes tightly as he whispers, "I have news."
"Good news or bad?" you ask hesitantly, pulling away slightly but his arms hold you to him.
He smiles in response, "Very good news my love." He takes your hand and the thoughts that had been swirling around your mind fade in an instant. "Come, let me show you," he says, you can hear the joy and excitement in his voice as he leads you through his office.
He pulls out the leather chair behind his large desk, "Sit." You pause before doing as he asks, sometimes it was hard to break protocol even when you were with Loki. You had never sat on this side of his desk before and hadn't realized that until this moment.
"Relax," he says with a light laugh. "I promise you, no one will barge in and find you sitting here."
"Sorry," you let out a nervous laugh. "I guess I'm still a bit worried that your father will banish me to Migard or somewhere."
He kneels next to you and takes your hand. "I would never let him send you away, you know that right?" he asks.
You nod, "I know." You clear your throat, pushing away that fear and ask, "What did you want to show me?"
He smiles so wide you can't help but smile in response. He gets up quickly and grabs the large book on his desk, picking it up he places it right in front of you. "What is this?" you ask, opening the cover. "Asgardian Marriage Law..." you read the cover slowly. "Loki, what-" you start to ask.
"I found it," he is too excited to let you finish your question.
You look at him for a moment, unsure what he is talking about when suddenly it clicks. "You found... you found a loop hole?" you ask, your heart beating faster.
He nods quickly and he repeats, "I found it."
Tumblr media
You pace anxiously outside of the throne room, your heart pounding in your chest as you wait for the grand council to convene. "Please stop, Y/N," Loki says as he leans on the wall across from the tall doors. "You are making me dizzy."
"Sorry," you walk over to him. "I'm just nervous. What if he says no? What if he gets angry again?" It was only a day ago when Loki spoke to you in his office but in that short time, your mind had invented hundreds of scenarios that filled you with dread.
Loki seems quite the opposite, he has never been more sure of anything as he holds his research calmly. He extends his free hand and you take it, "Y/N, if I know my father as well as I think I do, he will say no and he will be angry."
"That is not making me feel better," you frown but he chuckles.
"Do not give up on me now," he says. "I told you I will find a way to make you mine and I intend to keep that promise."
You smile at his words and move closer but before you can kiss him the large doors to the throne room are swung open. You pull away from Loki and swallow hard as your nerves ramp up again. He keeps hold of your hand and leads you into the throne room.
The room comes alive around you as the council members that line the room begin to whisper frantically to each other but you pay no attention to them. Your eyes are fixed on Odin, sitting atop the tall throne at the rear of the room. Frigga stands to his right and Thor, in his full dress uniform to his left. Loki squeezes your hand tighter and you are unsure if he is trying to calm you or himself.
The two of you come to a stop at the base of the stairs leading to the throne and Odin holds up a hand to silence the council. Loki bows briefly out of respect for his parents and you kneel as you've been trained.
After a moment or an eternity, you can't tell, Odin says, "Rise".
You stand but keep your head down slightly, knowing Loki is the one who needs to address the council. You are simply here because he wanted you to be, but this isn't where you belong and you know that.
"Why did you call for the grand council to meet?" Odin asks and you look at Loki who gives you a small smile before facing his parents.
"I've called you all here to discuss the marriage requirements for the second child of the king," Loki says.
"The laws are the same for all children of the crown," an older man to your left calls out. The crowd mumbles amongst themselves in agreement but Odin holds his hand up again.
Loki continues, "I am not speaking about the laws that my older brother is meant to follow. Prince Thor is heir to the throne, the next king of Asgard but I am not on the same path."
A few more hushed whispers are heard but it doesn't stop Loki. "There is no argument that the heir must marry someone who is of a certain status and has the approval of the grand council as well as the king and queen," he says and Thor nods, knowing that is his fate. "What I am bringing to the court's attention is that the rules for the second child, the spare, are not the same," he pauses for a second, "And they never were."
The council members all begin talking at once, denying Loki's claim that he is not to be held to the same rules as Thor. The throne room fills with voices and Loki looks around as if he is becoming lost. You squeeze his hand to get his attention and when he looks at you, you reach up and kiss his cheek. You know you shouldn't but he needs to know you support and believe in him.
As soon as your lips touch his cheek, he smiles but Odin stands up, causing the whole room to go silent in an instant. The queen gently places her hand on his arm and he slowly sits without saying a word but it is obvious your display of affection for Loki is not appreciated. After a moment, he waves for Loki to continue.
Loki takes a deep breath and begins where he left off, "I am not suggesting that the second son or daughter of the royal family is free to many anyone. I am merely stating that the rules are not the same for the heir as they are for additional children."
"And what are the requirements for the son who is not the heir?" Thor asks, you are surprised that he genuinely sounds curious.
Before Loki can answer, a woman you always found especially condescending says, "Does it matter? This soldier will never meet them."
Laughter spreads through the council and you look down at your boots as you feel your face flush. Loki squeezes your hand again and you look up, raising your head high.
"I would like to know, that is why it matters," Thor says simply and the laughter stops. He offers his younger brother an encouraging smile, "Continue, please."
Loki answers Thor's question, "The council is of course aware of the numerous rules that surround choosing a spouse for the heir, but the rules for the second son or daughter in the royal family are the same as those written for the children of council members."
Several low whispers begin to fill the room but Loki keeps talking over them. "It is true," he looks at you briefly before turning back to his parents. "Lieutenant Y/L/N does not currently have the rank to become my wife but in a few short years, she will."
"This can not be true," a voice off to your right says.
"It is, I am allowed to marry a soldier from an established military family who is ranked captain or higher. Y/N's family has served Asgard for generations, several members of her immediate family are high ranking officers in our army or royal guard and she is only one rank shy of becoming a captain herself," he explains.
The whispers become louder until the council members are shouting amongst themselves. A few voices in favor of acknowledging the forgotten rule rise above the others and you dare for a moment to feel excited.
Odin raises his hand for silence once again and your heart sinks. He looks at his youngest son then at you and you can see in his eyes he is not convinced even though it seems some of the council is shifting their opinion.
"I wish to see this rule," Odin says. Loki nods and holds out the leather bound book he is holding. A young council clerk walks between members of the crowd to Loki. Loki opens the book, pointing to the page he marked and hands it to the clerk who delivers it to the king. Odin sits quietly, reading the passage again and again.
Loki looks down at you and smiles but you can tell he is as nervous as you feel. "It's going to be ok," you whisper.
"I love you," he whispers back.
Before you can tell Loki you love him as well, you hear Odin stand from the throne. He holds the book open, looking down at the page at if it offends him. "This was clearly a mistake," the king insists, still looking down. "One which I intend to correct immediately," he says, looking up at you and Loki.
He rips the page from the book and crumples it in his hand, you can barely believe your eyes. "Thank you for bringing this unfortunate error to the council's attention. From this day forth, all children of the crown, regardless of birth order, must follow the same strict rules for courting and marriage. Spouses will be chosen from the family's of the high court as they always have been," Odin proclaims. "Soldiers will continue to be ineligible for marriage to a person of royal blood, no matter their rank or lineage," he adds, making sure you will never be able to marry Loki even if you become a general in the future.
"No! He can't do this," you think angrily. Your mind is spinning and your heart races. How could he take this away from his own son.
"You dare to tell me what I can and can not do!?" the king asks in a booming voice and you suddenly freeze.
You look at Loki, his eyes filled with fear and realize you didn't think that, you said it out loud. Odin slowly takes a step forward and you fight the urge to turn and run.

“Oh my god!” Steven giggled, eyes wide as the turtle swam right in front of you. “She’s so pretty!”
You grinned, taking some quick (and blurry) photos before leaning to the side to try to see further into the tank.
“I think she’s gone behind those rocks,” Steven said, still smiling from ear to ear.
You nod, “she's massive! Like, I know they’re big, but wow, they’re big!”
“And their fins!” He chimes in.
“Like dinosaurs!”
He laughs and wraps his arm around you, squeezing you tight. “Thank you for bringing me here, love.”
You hug him back. “Of course, well, really I had an ulterior motive.” You say playfully.
Steven immediately plays along, giving you a look of mock shock. “Really?”
“Hmm,” you nod, all conspiratorial. “Well, two actually, first,” you lean a little closer. “I wanted to go to the aquarium.”
He chuckles. “And the second?”
You smile at him and kiss his cheek. “I love seeing you happy.”
The tips of his ears blush a rosy pink and he hugs you fully this time, wrapping his arms around your shoulders and squeezing you tightly.
Normally, you weren’t a massive fan of public displays of affection. But the bonus of going out in the middle of a weekday in February meant that for the London Seaslife Centre, it was actually quite quiet.
But you would have hugged him back even if the place was full to the brim. That was one of the many special things about Steven, he always made you feel like you were the only person in the room.
He kisses your cheek, only loosening his grip and whispering in your ear, “she’s back.” He pointed to the glass and you smile as you both watched the turtle swim past again.
You noticed the small twitch in his hands, his grip changing for a moment, tightening before relaxing.
Marc kisses your temple. “Thank you for taking Steven out baby.”
You nuzzle against his jaw.
“He’s been feeling a bit down lately,” Marc speaks close to your skin, “I know you know that but…”
“Yeah.” You nod, you understand what he means.
“Holy shit,” Marc laughs, “that turtle is amazing! What the fuck are they feeding it?”
You giggle in his arms.
“160kg?” Marc frowns, looking at his reflection in the glass, “what’s that mean?”
“About 350 pounds,” you answer, doing some very dodgy mental maths.
“Fuck me.” He chuckles, “also thank you, Steven had no idea what the conversion rate was.” He paused. “And neither do I.”
“It’s about 0.45 I think.”
He gave you a look. A mixture of suspicious and impressed. “How do you know that?”
You shrug. “No idea.”
He nodded. “Yeah, alright.”
You both turn back to the tank.
“You’ve lived here for long enough Spector, I would have thought you’ve got the hang of kg and stone by now.” You tease.
Marc pulls a face. “I still get confused when I’m paying in pounds.”
“What?” You laugh.
“Yeah,” he gives you a sheepish smile. “I always forget that $1 isn’t £1. So I’ll go ‘wow, things are so much cheaper here.’”
“Idiot.” You giggle.
“Fair.”
“Give it another 6 months though, I’m sure the pound will fall some more.”
Marc snorted. “You’ll be thankful for my strong, American dollars then.”
“Oh, definitely.”
“I’m really upset love,” Steven said, his tone making it clear he was playing, “I told Marc to make an absolutely brilliant innuendo about ‘strong, American currency’.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah! And he won’t say it!”
You giggle. “No?”
“No.”
“I’m shocked.”
“Appalled,” Steven added, keeping his arm around your shoulders as you both began to walk to the next part. “I’m gonna have to tell you instead…”

Older Brothers
**Here is my first story! It's a little long, and pretty kinky, but I hope you all like it. This was written with the help of my beta reader and cowriter J-Bro. Enjoy!** There were a lot of things that Brock Owens didn’t understand. He didn’t understand algebra. Like at all. Who the hell needed that nerdy shit anyways? He didn’t understand why Jenny Thompson, the most attractive girl in school, wouldn’t spare a good looking guy like him a spare look. Sure he wasn’t the biggest guy on the football team, and she had a (really lame and geeky) boyfriend, and he was only a sophomore while she was a senior, but still he was a fucking stud! Why did Peter Cole, the second biggest geek on campus, get to be her boyfriend? But what he really didn’t understand was how he, an up and coming football player well on his way to becoming the big man on campus, was related to the biggest geek on campus, Chad Owens.
Chad, or Chadwick as he insisted on being called for some fucking reason, was Brock’s brother. His older brother, not that anyone could tell. Despite being a senior Chadwick was 6 inches shorter than the 6 foot Brock, weighed a skinny 130 pounds to Brock's 205 pounds of mostly muscle, and was smaller than his brother in literally every way. People assumed that Brock was Chadwick’s older brother, if they ever even realized they were related at all. The fact that this was backwards, that Chadwick was the older brother, absolutely fucking killed Brock. Older brothers were supposed to be the strong ones, the manly ones, the ones who showed their little bros how to be real men! But Brock got stuck with the lamest, nerdiest brother he could. He had never been the mentor or the big bro Brock had wanted or deserved. They had been close when Brock was younger, but it had taken a single year of highschool for Brock to realize his brother was a loser. Now they barely spoke, unless Brock and his bros were making fun of Chadwick or Chadwick was scolding Brock for his bad grades. Right now it was the latter. “A 1.3 GPA! That's a D+ average Brock! A D+ average! If the school had any standards they would have kicked you off the football team by now! Your grades are awful!” The brothers were currently in Brock's room in the Alpha Alpha Sigma frat house, the coolest frat on campus, where Chadwick was once again telling an enraged Brock off for his grades.
“Oh fuck you Chad! Like a geek like you would know anything about football!”
“It’s Chadwick, not Chad, and I’m trying to help you, that’s what older brothers do!”
“Oh, please! Like you know anything about how to be a good older brother!” Chadwick looked at Brock like he had just been slapped.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” He asked, the pain and shock evident in his voice.
“It means that older brothers are supposed to show their little bros how to be cool! How to be a man! They’re not supposed to make their little brothers fucking ashamed by being geeks!” “It isn’t easy being the big brother Brock, especially not to a dumb bully like you! Maybe I haven’t been the best big brother, but I-I’d like to see you do any better!” Chadwick stormed out, slamming the door behind him, leaving behind an exasperated and enraged Brock. ‘I’d like to see you do any better.’ Of course he could fucking do better! If he was an older brother he’d show his younger brother how to be cool! He’d teach him how to workout, how to play football, how to get chicks! All Chadwick had ever done was embarrass him in front of his bros. Brock looked out the window of his room and saw a bright star in the sky. He sighed. It felt weird to do so, and he’d never admit to doing anything because he knew his frat bros would never let him live it down… but he felt himself wishing on the star. He stared at it and sighed “... I wish I was the older brother…” He muttered. As he spoke the star got brighter and brighter…
And in a flash, everything was different.
Brock woke up with a start. When had he gone to bed? He must have gotten really drunk last night, because all he remembered was that fight with his brother. Slowly Brock got up, and looked around in confusion. This… wasn’t his room. It was bigger, nicer, and… while, cooler. It looked like one of the rooms for the older members of the frat. Fuck did he sneak into a seniors room? They were going to kill him for this! But… wasn’t that his weight set? Brock was so confused he almost didn’t notice himself in the mirror. Brock had always been big, but now… well, he didn’t have the words to describe it. Slowly, he picked himself off the bed and stood proudly before it, naked as the day he was born. He ran his hands up his abs first - the skin was dryer, rougher, more stressed and strained and worked, and whereas he was proud before of it just having a little bit of spring, now it was totally solid. As he clenched them, he could feel the soft shockwaves rippling throughout his body.
His eyes were soon drawn to his chest, where he’d, seemingly overnight, gained a new tattoo. “Destroyer” on his right tit, “of Bussy” on his left. He scoffed. That definitely never would have happened… whilst he’d had his eyes on some of the guys around for a while, he was still pretty damn far in the closet… Though the way the words stretched as he puffed out his pecs was… almost hypnotic. “What the fuck happened to me last night…?” This… this made no sense to be a prank. Suddenly there was another knock at the door, and a deep, commanding, and somewhat familiar voice yelled through the door
 “Brock, bro, open up.”
In a daze bro opened the door, only to see his brother, or some version of his brother, smirking at him. Chadwick Owens had completely changed overnight, his body exploding with muscles. He didn’t look as big as Brock did now, but he was beefier than any college sophomore had any right to be. Wait… sophomore? He was a senior… wasn’t he? Chadwick strut in cockily, smirking as he took his brother into a manly bro-hug
“Morning bro! Fuck you look as sexy as always!” He said. Brock finally found his voice, looking at his brother in shock.
“Chadwick… what happened to you?” He asked
“Chadwick? Bro, don’t call me Chadwick. Makes me sounds like a fucking dweeb, makes you sound like you’re my fucking mom or some shit. My name is Chad bro.” He said with a dumb chuckle. He put on a broad, show winning smile as his tongue flopped out of his mouth a bit. Fuck, he looked.. kinda cute like that. Did he just call his younger brother cute? Wait, Chad was his older brother, right? Fuck his head hurt.
“Bro, what’s happening? My head… my chest…”
“That tattoo is still giving you trouble brah? Imagine how I feel.” Chad said, before turning around. He pulled down his pants, showing off the top of his thick bubble butt and a brand new tramp stamp, one that said ‘Big Bros Bussy.’ Brock felt himself immediately grow hard, his cock standing at attention. Was it bigger? It felt bigger, thicker, longer, as it throbbed in his pants. “Big Bros Bussy…” Brock whispered. Suddenly he remembered… everything. He wasn’t Chad's little brother. He was the older brother! He was Brock Owens, the big man on campus, the leader of the Alpha Alpha Sigma frat, the captain of the varsity football and wrestling teams. And Chad was his perfect, sexy little bro. Ever since they were little Brock had been showing Chad the ropes. How to be a man, how to play football, and most importantly how to take his brother's 12 inch cock up his ass.
In fact, he even remembered him and his bro’s first time. He was still a little bit lanky back then, and whilst he wanted to join in with his big bro’s workouts, he couldn’t hack it. But it was like his big bro’s alpha cock was a key that unlocked his inner alpha. It was so hot, watching it happen whilst letting his hips rail his sexy kid brother.
Suddenly everything clicked. His wish had come true. He was the older brother. He could remember being the hottest, most muscular guy at his college. He could remember fucking Jenny Thompson and her twink boyfriend Peter Cole on the regular, unafraid of what anyone thought. He remembered teaching his wide eyed brother how to be just like him. And he remembered everytime he and his brother had fucked. He remembered being in an open relationship with his jock slut of a brother. Brock smirked as these memories flooded his mind. He knew it was wrong to be with his brother in that way, but he couldn’t fucking help it. Chad was the only other guy in the world close to as manly and hot as he was, the only one worth his time. Plus his bussy was as tight as it had been the first time. Brock gave Chad a sultry grin and smacked his brother's ass “Looking good baby bro. Now everyones going to know you’re mine~”
High in the sky, invisible in the daylight, a supernova blazed, another wish having been granted.
