So I love Dandadan actually because through those first seven episodes I couldn’t stop repeating to myself “Wow Momo is so fucking cool” like she’s such a genuine badass. My shounen senses were primed for her to just get saved over and over again, maybe just helping out every now and then but no SHE’S the one doing the majority of the saving. She and Okarun both feel like real people and they’re setting up a sweet and genuine romance that doesn’t feel creepy. The voice acting is also so good like she is SCREAMING out here.

Usually when an anime has two protagonists and one is a female she feels like a passive observer just getting swept along for the ride even when they’re supposed to be “tough” it fades away or they are made lesser to make the male lead look better. But Momo and Okarun actually work together!!! They both act like human people!!!! Including the ugly parts with Okarun’s avoidance tendencies and Momo regretting when she does lash out because she knows she’s in the wrong. And they talk about it after she does!! It comes with a healthy dose of “teenagers are kind of mean because they’re still maturing” which is normal and amazing to see.

This anime is healing something I didn’t even realize was broken when I found myself not having to cringe away from little moments that make me uncomfortable. There is a bit of fanservice going on (thanks grandma) and yes I get episode 1 starting off as a bit much for people but honestly, genuinely, did you think aliens WEREN’T going to try and probe someone in the Alien Ghosts Anime TM. Kidnapping humans and cows for experimentation is what they’re most famously known for. You are meant to be uncomfortable and weirded out by this episode. An episode that ends when she unlocks fucking psychic powers and blasts that alien through the wall of a SPACESHIP like hello??

Momo Ayase is that character you give a gun to if you want to shorten the book by half and the author gave her one in the form of psychic powers.

1. What does your muse smell like?

without soap or perfume, 683 smells bizarrely sterile, chemical-ish, like a dentist’s office, bleach or cleaning supplies.  like hand sanitizer that kills 99.9% of germs.  they have that faint smell of powdery clean cosmetics, only because they wear so much foundation, face powder and setting spray.  humans like things that smell less artificial, so 683 takes to using cheap perfume (think a teenager who just learned to douse themselves with axe or bath and bodyworks spray), which is artificial in a slightly more palatable way.  their clothes (which are almost all second hand) have that mothball-musty smell of a thrifted dress that hasn’t been washed yet, like an old book.    

2. What do your muse’s hands feel like?

cold, frigid and icy, almost like a mannequin’s if you left the mannequin in the freezer. their skin is tight over their tendons and fingers, with almost waxy, plasticy skin stretched over their joints and knuckles, which makes them seem very fragile.  sometimes their palms are uncannily clammy.  their skin on their palms isn’t rough or calloused but they’re starting to get scars on their fingertips from their voyages into the realm of string instruments.  they used to have very neat, clean and unpainted nails, but nowadays, they have divots and cracks because 683 is clumsy with the strings.  

3. What does your muse usually eat in a day?

683 is often at the mercy of when their friends will decide to cook for them/buy them food.  they don’t have any cooking skills and can barely wash and cut an apple (this isn’t because they’re stupid, on atomina they were used to communal dining with a designated set of people who cooked for everyone in their unit).  683 is naturally accustomed to eating plant matter and (unlike us humans) has a way better digestive system for breaking down cellulose and gets a lot more out of their vegetarian diet than you might expect (two stomachs aint for nothin).  left to their own devices they just eat Whatever (orange? handfuls of spinach, unwashed, pesticides dont hurt them.  microwave a tomato and watch it explode.  brave cutting open an avocado and just eating it with a spoon).  dinner is when priscilla either buys him take out or sid cooks something for him (and sid is an amazing cook!!!).  sid isn’t vegetarian, but his family is, so he knows how to make all kinds of dishes perfect for 683 -- substitute the dairy for nondiary alternatives and 683′s getting matter paneer (with tofu instead), malai kofta (with coconut milk), and aloo gobi (no butter), all sorts of things !!! 

4. Does your muse have a good singing voice?

sort of.  683′s voice, by itself, is nasally and weird and a little grating, but their devotion to music lets them make the most out of their “strange” voice and almost use it to their benefit to sound unique, different, super far out !11!11111  their lyrics, instrumentals and emotion combined is what makes them a talented musician rather than just a good quality voice.  so while they might not have a very pretty voice, they’re still a skilled singer due to their delivery.  

5. Does your muse have any bad habits or nervous ticks?

im assuming this is about bad (physical) habits rather than personality deficiencies (of which 683 has many).  683 stares, like, really just stares at people with reckless abandon, they havent figured out it’s rude.  they arent good at even pretending to listen so if they’re disinterested in what you have to say, they’ll look elsewhere, pick at their nails, mumble or interrupt you.  always finds a way to make the conversation about themself.  very disorganized and messy, has a hard time taking care of objects even if they value them (ex. dropping his guitar, misplacing jewelry, yanking a belt off and breaking it).  definitely self pities and has no problem trying to guilt you for everything and anything.  is a pretty frequent smoker, but is polite enough not to smoke if you ask him not to.  

683 is always a little nervous so their nervous ticks are just their baseline state of being (wringing hands, stammering, talking really fast, making insane gestures all around you but being too afraid to touch you, etc)

6. What does your muse usually look like / wear?

683 looks very put together at all times -- not necessarily polished or professional, but very intentional, in that you can tell they definitely made a conscious choice to dress the way they do.  he wore the same dumb uniform every day for the first 20 years of his life, so he’s very excited to try new clothing options.  

more femme-ish clothing preferences go to boxy, sleeveless a-line dresses, miniskirts, bright floral patterns, big plastic earrings, headbands, scarves, etc.  they like clunky platforms and prefer to wear boots.  very 60s mod and colorblocked.  she loves bright eyeshadow but tends to go for more neutral lipstick.  can never figure out what to do with her hair so she usually leaves it down or does a half-up half-down bun kinda deal.  

more masc clothing preferences are bell bottoms, button ups with butterfly collars, paisley print, turtlenecks and fringe jackets, etc. earthy tones and weird nasty olive green.  very late 60s / early 70s. prog rock flavor or glam rock flavor.  never got into the disco style only because he cant pull it off because he’s so scrawny and twitchy and has no chest hair to impress the ladies.    

one thing about 683 is that he hates tight long sleeves and goes insane if he has to wear them.  his uniform was sleeveless, so even short sleeves feel really weird and horrible on his arms.  prefers sleeveless, can do with short sleeves, 3/4ths sleeve or loose long sleeve, really tries to avoid tight/constricting long sleeves.  

i have a pinterest board of potential fits for him although i havent updated it because i barely know how to use pinterest.

7. Is your muse affectionate?  How much?  How so?

to most people, not really, he’s kind of a weird cagey asshole.  oscillates between fascinated with physical touch (suddenly wanting to hug his friends or snuggle with them or grabbing strangers when he’s trying to talk to them) to despising contact (cringes if you touch his hand when you pass him a cup).  he didnt grown up with a culture very big on it, so he isn’t sure if he likes it or not yet.  

to people he does care about, he tends to take his friends for granted but overperform affection for those he has romantic interest in.  not that he doesnt also dearly love and adore his friends, he’s just not the best at expressing his care for them other than random bursts of kindness and dissolving back into his weird normal self.  his understanding of romance has come from a very commercial, media-influenced place (he learns about it through television, novels and commercials, it’s not really inherent to his species) so he thinks romance is about buying flowers, holding hands, staring into each other’s eyes for three hours, etc. if he has romantic interest in you, he will constantly over and over again tell you how much he likes you and your company and you are soooo funny hahahhahhfhh, and will be unusually touchy (clings to your arm, sits RIGHT next to you, drops his head on your shoulder, etc).  

8. What position does your muse sleep in?

683 didnt know what blankets were until he came to earth (or deep space nine) !!! his old room was perfectly temperature controlled and he already has a lower natural body temperature, so there was no need for blankets at all.  human beds with big pillows and blankets are THE COOLEST, so he either curls up underneath a blanket with only the top of his head poking out or he sprawls out like a starfish to take advantage of as many pillows as possible.  his special move is to roll up in the blanket like some kind of little alien lumpia.  

he’s a fitful sleeper so if you sleep in the same bed as him, he’ll punch you or kick you on accident.  he does appreciate company, though, and will also plaster himself up against you and leech your body heat with his weird cold body.

9. Could you hear your muse in the hallway from another room?

depends.  they have a very average speaking voice and aren’t necessarily very loud (plus platforms dull footsteps), but if they were excited, they might raise their voice or yell or exclaim something.  and then they’re very shrill, so yes, you would hear her.

My coming out story is weird, it gets a lil transphobic so tw near the end tw long post too

So, pretty much throughout my time growing up through elementary school and half of middle school, i grew up in a white middle class area. I didnt know about the LGBTQ+ or anything other than what I saw, which was white people and an occasional poc. Eventually I had to move and I ended up in a super diverse area, and ended up becoming best friends with this person (they are ftm now so imma use the right pronouns but they were f when this story mostly takes place) he told me all about things I didnt know, specifically the LGBTQ+ community and that he was pan, and it was new information so just like any 13 year old learning new things, I questioned myself, I questioned if I could like the same sex or not or possibly more.

Sadly, drama happened between my best friend, his girlfriend and I, so thing got a little weird. But there was a time in winter, when he was off that relationship for more than a month and he said he'd like to date me, and I really thought about it before hand and said yeah, I couldnt tell you how happy I was to have this experience.

I told my mom that night, in a round about way cuz I was nervous, "Hey mom, what if I liked girls?" She told me she doesnt think that I do, because I always expressed feelings for guys, and when I tell her I didnt really understand what being gay was when I was younger, I didn't really know it was a possibility. She snapped at me and said, "Unless you are willing to kiss a girl and do the other stuff, you arent gay at all."

Eventually I have a sit down conversation with her, about how confusing this all was and how I wish I knew how I felt, and so on. She said she had a similar questioning phase but it never stuck so she doesnt think I am.

Like a month later I figure it out and dude that was so gratifying. I came out as bi to my mom, who just dismissed the whole thing, but I was terrified to tell my uncle (it's a long story about that, no it's not "sweet home Alabama") because he always said bi's were wh*res so yeah. I ended up telling him, and he goes, "You know my opinion on it but that doesnt mean that I'll disown you or anything." Btw the relationship (dating wise) with my best friend after he came out as ftm because he went back to his ex, it's all cool tho.

So that was that, or so I thought. It was my first year of high school, and I finally really understood the definition of pan, what was holding me back though was the trans experience, I thought because I didnt know what it was like, I couldnt be pan, even though I didnt have a preference, turns out it just means you like people no matter their gender and it like, clicked finally so yeah. I've told my family about that since but I a similar reaction: my mom said she doesnt think I am and she lectured me on my generation having so many labels and how she hated it. My uncle said he appreciated that I was pan more than me being bi which confused me but he just had a better view of pansexual than bisexual. (I explained to both of them what the difference was but idk man)

I believe it was my second year of high school when I really started to question my gender, and that was mostly because I saw a video of what gender dysphoria looks like if it's not that strong and you arent aware for ftm. So like wearing bagging clothes all the time, always wearing sports bras, and practically no other bra, feeling really good if someone accidentally calls you sir, etc. And I was like, oml it's me. But it wasnt, I didnt find that out until later tho. So, with my friend group, I find a name that seems to fit me well and ask them to address me by it and he/him pronouns, as like a test of sorts. (All of my friends are gay in some way so it was cool) In the end tho, I got a little iffy about the whole thing and wouldnt ever correct them at times or it was just off for me. I felt really bad because I thought that they might have thought that I was just trying to force myself to be more like them, but I wasnt, i still felt bad though and kinda dropped it.

I'm not sure 100% how I figured it out tho, but I remember talking to my best friend (not the same one from middle school, they were my best friend as well but they arent the same person) about the whole experience and I believe they brought up the idea of genderfulid, and I was like :0.... what that. They explain it, you go aall over the gender spectrum, some days you might feel like a boy, others you might feel like you have no gender, some days you might feel like your gender is something completely weird and different, that's just what it is. And I was like, "It fits but like, I barely feel femme at any point in time, maybe like once a year." And they tell me, that's ok and stuff as long as my gender just decides to be a completely weird and went all over the place, it counted, so I was like, "I finally figured it out!!!" And i was so happy.

Then came the time I was comfortable enough to tell my parents. I had been using the label genderfuild for over half a year already and I thought that it was what I was so it was ok to tell them. I saw how ok me being gay went, so I was nervous but not as nervous as I should have been, probably. I told my mom first, she went on a similar rant of her no liking my generations labels and such, but it went fine, I explained it, I thought I was through, I thought I was fine, apparently not. One day I'm in the shower and I hear my mom being very expressive with what ever shes talking about to my uncle, which is fine, she needs someone to vent to sometimes. When I get out though, and I can here her clearly, I hear sees complaining about what I told her recently, that I'm genderfulid, but instead of saying that, she only says I want to be a boy. (Oh no) So shes complaining to him, asking why I cant be more like her and just be a masculine girl and be fine, why do I have to fit in with the crowd of my generation to feel special, why cant I just be fine with who I am now? Etc.

The sad thing is, that night, I was going out shopping for pants and underwear with my uncle because I needed some and I wore men's pants already at that point, because they are more durable, and stuff so I knew it was gonna be a long ride. My mom was snippy with me that whole night, just the entire time which sucked.

When we finally left to go get clothes though, I didnt know it could get worse. My uncle lectured me about how that's just my generations fad, and how his was making tattoos and piercings ok in the work place and mine is being trans a gay and all that crap, and that I'm just trying to fit in, I'm not being myself, no matter how much I chop myself up and cut my hair and take hormones my chromosomes will never change and so I can never be an actual guy. He also said that I would bring just more attention to myself being a woman who does guy things rather than try and be one, and he thinks I'm doing this all for attention. I was mad but silent at this point, I didnt want to cause anything to happen. He ended up asking me, "So did you pick a different name?" I was surprised but I said yeah, and my friends were using it and it seemed to fit better. He asked me what it was and fear over took my body. I told him, "I'll only tell you if you dont use it against me if your mad." He says, "i cant promise that." And then gets mad because I wont tell him. Though I do, because I feel obligated since hes buying me clothes. To be even more confusing, he buys me guys underwear, and undershirts along with the predetermined pants he promised me and now I'm so confused.

But it gets even worse. When we get home, my mom freaks out on him because be bought me all that mens stuff and she said he was encouraging my behavior and stuff, he defended with it's just clothes, and yah it is. Eventually things settle down, obviously my mom isnt talking to be, but that's for the best at this point. I'm in the living room with my uncle and he just then starts harassing me with questions like, how do you know? he asks. "Well, I just feel that way, same as you." I say. But why do you wanna be a guy? he asks. "I dont wanna be a guy, it's just weird that way. Also it's not me being a guy, it me being many more than that," I say. He says that's bullsh*t. I offer to show him videos that better explain what trans is and how it's an actual sciencey thing and stuff but he said he wont take a video because he wants me to say it. And then he just goes off, saying the name I picked out shows how self centered I am because I am selfish, he kept asking me if i liked to fight, to catch and play with bugs, to be strong, to be angry all the time, and all these stereotypes for men and I just left, and went to bed. He wasnt going to listen to me, so there wasnt a point to me staying.

But, it gets worse. The morning comes and I'm awoken by the slam of my door by my uncle and the laughter of my mom. My uncle starts being really aggressive and starts cleaning my room, I only have clothes on the floor mostly so that's all it was, but he starts saying, well if you're gonna be a man, imma start training you like one, the man of the house picks up after everyone, the man of the house does everything he can to help the house run smoothly, the man of the house has to be strong, and all that stuff. (Which I thought was funny because he was "the man of the house" yet I did everything, and still do. I clean up most after him, funny huh.) And, I know what's happening and so I stay in bed, I don't want this to happen. But I literally get ripped out of my bed by my uncle and get told to stop being a little b*tch and a brat because I'm being selfish by my mom and I'm yelled at to sit in the living room and wait while my uncle cleans my room. When hes done hes starts lecturing me and being all aggressive and in my face. He keeps asking me a million questions with the tone that he didnt care so I knew he wouldn't listen. Eventually, him and my mom leave, I'm told to stay there until I get back. When they do get back, they act like everything is fine, nothing happened between them and I and it's just been so hard for me to talk to them about that since.

I'm greatful that I dont have to deal with that anymore but every time something that that is brought up with my family, I panic so much now. I'm fine and I'm safe but it was very traumatic for me. And uh, thanks for listening.

It really says something when people assume that isayama hates mikasa because he doesn't draw her as moe or "super feminine". The things it says about the people who agree with this is enough to tell you how stupid of an idea this is.

If he hated her character why would he have kept her around for so long? Why even make her? Its not like she was a character forced upon him by editors or some big company man who has a hard on for characters like mikasa. He made her himself and im sure if he wanted to he would have replaced her ages ago had he hated her so damn much.

But yeah I really think it shows how these people are so insanely sexist and misogynistic that only women who fit a certain image can be considered feminine or pretty and if they dont meet that criteria, they're manly therefore ugly and or undesirable. To them a woman must has long hair, be petite, wear feminine clothing and be curvy, etc.

They cant seem to get it through their pea sized brains that women come in all shapes and sizes and so do preferences in sexual attraction.

Eren can only ever be with a female character that fits their ancient views of what a woman should be or look like.

Which is hilarious considering Eren himself hated the fake moe person that Hisu used to be. Yet thats essentially who most eh want for him. Echo doesn’t have any official titles, and isn’t really planning on getting any, unless Champion of Sune counts?

Echo has a very good relationship with her moms! To their knowledge, things were a bit tense after leaving Ivydome, but plenty of letters and visiting when they could helped with smoothing over their relationship. A good memory would be when her moms taught Echo how to bake! They can really only bake cupcakes and cookies but theyre like. Hella good ones. They dont really have any bad memories with/of their parents, since like. They will forcibly forget or repress anything that upsets them, as long as it only affected them. If the memory is something bad that affected others it will linger for however long Echo deems necessary(read: an extremely long time)

They were there and graduated fantasy high school what more do you want from them jkdxxjndk.  They started working at the local sweets shop after school, so no higher level of education here! They like history a bit, but that’s about it tbh!

Yes! Echo had a pet cat back at Ivydome with her moms, and before the campaign she didn’t really have the money to keep another, so they settled for feeding and playing with the stray cats in Summervale.

Hmmm, Echo doesn’t mind children?? but there’s only so long they can be around them before she gets overwhelmed. Please dont make them look after children they dont want any.

Their first cake made without supervision was. Cake mistakes who i dont know her sdkjjkdbs. So half the time they pass by anything with some type of airy sponge cake they cringe lololol

She had a rock and shiny things collection back at Summervale! They’re mostly for decoration, although some with certain textures are used for stimming. Some rocks are kept on shelves, but most are stored in cool jars to save space

Echo is a sucker for romance novels and fun, upbeat music! Idk if video games, films, or video games exist in-universe, but if they did, they’d like dramas and baking shows, rpgs, and more character focused games like nitw

They love music, and they’d like musicals too! They will grab their lute and play along if their favorite song came on, and if nobody was around then maybe they’d sing too. Maybe.

tbh their go-to insult is calling someone a prick or a bastard, and it’s usually for whenever someone’s done something particularly scummy. Or if someone is just. The Absolute Worst. It’s a leftover habit from when they used to live in Ivydome, but Echo usually sticks to talking shit when the target is. Very far away/not in the area.

They try and get around six hours, to varying success, and to their knowledge they dont snore! Echo loves soft things and would prefer to sleep on a soft mattress with So Many blankets and pillows and maybe a cuddle buddy

Fun fact echo does a tounge blep when she’s happy!! They tend to do lil happy claps and bounce up and down in place when they’re really excited, but when it’s a more calm-type of happy he purrs loudly and smiles a lot more than usual!

He’s claustrophobic and is terrified of being alone again or having to leave people behind even when the situation calls for it. So like. He aint copin too well after the last session! They get very flustered and panicked and freeze when theyre scared

Crop tops with long sleeves, shorts, and boots make up most of their wardrobe and they love it. Theyd go to like the fantasy equivalent of marshalls i think? Somewhere with good deals and a lot of options. Overlarge shirts, tank top crop tops, and more shorts make up their pjs. They dont really wear makeup, mostly bc they touch their face a lot and it feels weird the whole time, but they wouldnt be opposed to wear a lil bit every now and then! Their hair is floofy and a bit of a controlled mess since they cut it themselves

Echo is 5’9”/ 175.26 cm! Theyre on the average side i think? Like theyre not super skinny but not fat either so just. Avergae. And yeah, Echo likes their body, theyre so bright! And their horns are so cute and having a tail is very handy and claw maintenance can be a bit of a pain but like. Aesthetic am i right folks

Hes good at playing the lute and generally being very cute and giving out good vibes, and he likes baking and playing music! They can sing, but really only do that when theyre playing their lute ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Echo admires passion and creativity the most, and dont let anyone from the party know but he wishes he could be just. A bit smarter and know what to say + ask. Theyd also really like to be able to make a decent genoise sponge too like theyre not picky

Theyre a tea drinker all the way, and arent the biggest fan of sweet things. He used to use more tart or mellow flavors when baking. They def arent alert after being tired for a while, and will space out a bit

No secret ambitions here, Echo is an open book(unless they roll high on deception dvdjxb)! Becoming Sune’s champion, making a decent sponge cake, and protecting his friends with his life/in any way they can are all their current goals. Echo doesn’t care too much if they get hurt, so physical well-being and maybe mental are things they wouldn't mind sacrificing, but as a whole they don’t really want to think about what they’d have to give up. He’ll burn that bridge when he gets to it.

If its cold, wet, or humid echo is not a happy camper lol. They prefer summer and the beginning of fall the most, and sunny days with lots of puffy white clouds are the best! They think its fun watching the clouds shadows on the ground. They’re better in hot weather than cold, since clothes for that type of weather are easier to dress for and they dont have to account for their tail or horns as much

God i hope they make a good first impression im dying over here xjkxdk but honestly it depends! They try to make a good first impression and i think they usually do? But if theyve just finished with a job w the gang or theyre just. So tired they wont really introduce themselves at all.  Its pretty accurate of how they are, and their go-to greeting is “I’m Echo Barquiel, a pleasure to meet you dearie~”

In theory they’d like parties but being around so many people with that much noise for an unknown amount of time would not be. Ideal so smaller get-togethers with friends would be the most enjoyable! Echo doesnt really have the uh, space to host anything so theyd just turn up to other’s parties. Theyd be in a constant state of switching between ‘holy shit im so gay’ and ‘oh my god theres so many people/internal screaming’. If they were dragged to a party, theyd mingle for a leelte bit before stepping out

Vyma has some faint burn scarring on the fingers of her right hand.  youd probably assume they came from some badass or traumatic experience but really she burned her hand while making donuts at 3am.  the tongs for taking the donuts out of the oil were on the other side of the room and she didnt wanna bother getting it. had the sleep-deprivation-fueled idea that “hey if i grab them fast enough i wont get burned”. tapped steel and burned her hand.  

46. How easily can they express emotions? How easily can they hide emotions?

Claysen - sucks at expressing them, hides them very easily, hides them compulsively

Katt - good at expressing them, not great at hiding them, doesnt like hiding them

Vyma - not great at expressing them (aside from anger and irritation), can hide them well (aside from anger and irritation), hides them when “convenient”

Pickle - good at expressing them, good at hiding them, doesnt like hiding them

katt has “tattoos” pretty often (theyre not technically real tattoos, theyre patterns and designs they add via being a changeling).  the stories behind them are that they think they look cool.  they tend to go for a lot of sparrow motifs but thats mostly bc They Just Think Theyre Neat

vyma has a few earrings, one of which is her pathian earring

Katts clothing style is A Lot. like if you mixed Vogue, a circus, and a weird thrift store.  they word theyd prob use is Striking.  i actually have a pinterest board of stuff they would wear bc i use my time very wisely (all the high heels on there would have to be flats tho bc there are limits to what one can successfully do martial arts in)

Clayen is 5′9 not counting the horns, 6′1 counting them.  Vymas 5′11. Katt can be a bunch of heights but their “natural” changeling form is 5′10. Pickle is 4′10. i dont have set weights for any of them

Vyma has dark brown almost black hair, medium brown skin, and and dark green eyes.

Katt can look however they want but their “natural” form has practically paper white skin, eyes (pupilless), and hair.  The appearance theyre chilling out in now is a half-elf with pale skin, black hair, and blue eyes.

Claysen has curly white hair, light purple eyes (with iris and pupils like a human, not pupilless like a lot of tieflings), and light-ish midnight blue-grey skin.  

Pickle’s feather pattern resembles a female purple martin’s (speckled black/grey/white on neck and chest, blue on top of head and shoulders that fades into black, black mask-like design around eyes) and their eyes are a light blue-grey

55. What is their alcohol tolerance like? What kind of drunk are they? How bad are their hangovers?

Vyma has a fairly high alcohol tolerance and when drunk is louder, more outgoing, and would potentially start a bar fight.  she doesnt really get hangovers tho.

Claysen has a slightly higher than average tolerance, but just gets really tired when drunk and has awful hangovers so he tends to avoid drinking enough to actually get drunk.

Katt has an average tolerance.  They get gradually more zoned out the more they drink. instead of getting uncoordinated they adopt a weird forced precision to movements that would usually require no real effort.  their hangovers arent too bad

Pickle is tiny and has a low tolerance. she mostly just gets really giggly, she stops using minor illusion for communication and her mimicing resembles more of a HeHe Funny Noises type of mimicry than an Echolalia For Communication type thing.

sleeping around is one of Katt’s “hobbies”. everyone else has not.  Pickle and Vyma are ace - Pickle doesnt really consider it but Vyma is not entirely opposed to the idea under certain circumstances.  and unless Claysen suddenly gets his shit together thats not gonna be on the table for a while.

claysens default expression is pretty blank, which can appear calm and serene or empty depending on whos looking. vyma has a pretty strong resting bitch face, her normal expression looks surly and her face isnt super expressive, so she still looks surly even when happy sometimes

Vyma - lays like a starfish and takes up the whole bed, uses as few covers as possible

Claysen - sleeps at close to a corner as he can with the blankets in a tangle around him regardless of temperature

Pickle - moves around a lot in their sleep. no specific sleeping position but would love having a bunkbed. has tried to sleep in trees only to fall out halfway thru the night

Ku is a Mother 3 OC! sometime after the timeskip, the chimera labs were trying to like... make super-chimeras? by cloning psi users, like kumatora, or cloning non-psi users and giving their clones psi, like fuel. just all sorts of weird mad science and cloning going on. one of their projects was to try and clone the masked man, with the idea being that they would make an army of him that would be totally unstoppable. their only attempt that actually survived was a total failure, though, with pretty much no psychic potential to speak of (and also was a girl for some reason?), and “claustwo” was tossed aside with the other rejects. she ended up making friends with them, and badly mangled her designation into her name, Kurousu.

during her stay at the chimera labs, the pigmasks were trying to like.. train her and her fellow rejects to not be super garbage? except ku was just consistently not living up to expectations, and couldnt even use the most basic levels of pk w/o external assistance from a psi amplifier. they ended up deciding she was more effort than she was worth and locked her up with the ultimate chimera to see what would happen, which... nearly killed her! and then they reconstructed her into a mechanical chimera like “well maybe she’ll be useful NOW” except she was now extremely traumatized and couldnt fight at all without freezing up and having flashbacks.

angry at how their friend had been treated, the other rejects came up with a plan to like.. take ku and break out. go live among the other residents of nowhere islands, because with the exception of ku who was obviously half-robot they were otherwise just normal kids who were like.. grown in a lab and had superpowers. the plan fell apart at the last second, with only one of them successfully escaping-- the other was put into cryogenic storage, and ku herself was likely about to be decommissioned for her repeated failures if not for the intervention of a pigmask that had grown fond of her and kind of became her dad figure. when the 7th needle was pulled, he was able to take ku away from the chimera labs in the ensuing chaos and started a life with her in the remade world.

pretty much all of that got repressed, though! she had no memory of that up until she met Tank, Fuel’s “twin brother” who was strangely familiar despite her being certain they’d never met before.

kurousu is timid, stutters a lot, hates being stared at, and feels inadequate all the time. she’s got a kind heart, but the trauma conga line she got put through (and kept being put through throughout the entire course of the years-long rp) means that shes afraid anything she does might get her or her friends hurt. shes got a long list of phobias and her character arc was mostly learning how to overcome them and stand on her own, while also learning that there are people around her that want to support her and help her become the best she can be. despite her fears, she did her best to be the emotional cornerstone of the team and had an optimistic outlook on life, and strongly believed that regardless of her origins or what happened to her that she could keep moving forward to be something more than her scars or intended “purpose”.

when put under pressure or when her friends are in danger, kurousu’s personality suddenly flips and she becomes furious and single-mindedly focused on kicking as much ass as possible. she loses complete control over herself the longer she’s in this state, and her psychic powers get a huge boost in exchange for them hurting her to use. she has very little memory of what she does in this state, and to be honest it scares the hell out of her. the last thing she wants to be is be a living weapon, even though thats what she was created for.

also she was best friends with ninten and kind of had a crush on him? it was VERY obvious and never really went away, even after she started dating tank. he gave her the neckerchief she wears, and was her emotional support whenever the other two members of the “chimera trio” (kurousu, tank, and her “brother” vincent) werent around. ku was pretty sheltered even after leaving the chimera labs so ninten’s main job was trying to help her integrate to normal life and teaching her, like, pop culture things. it was honestly super adorable

tl;dr cinnamon roll claus clone that deserves the best. also she has wings because i didnt realize at first that masked man’s wings arent like, actually part of him, and by the way i hadnt even played mother 3 when i made her?

the prince totally wanting the earth beneath his feet to swallow him up at that moment. also relatable when u say something super embarrassing like, pls dont look at me rn. i do find it a bit amusing in the “apple doesnt fall far from the tree” kind of way what the prince says his dad gets weird about lovey stuff like this as if he didnt just admit to falling inlove with a girl he just met. its a family of romantics.

i do really like how casual the prince talks with brad and presumably most of his staff. as it feels natural for him to be on a more casual base with them if he doesnt get out much and makes friends with his staff. u cant maintain a level of propriety with ur staff if their also ur friends. also brad making more “idk dude shes sus” comments is funny

ok this next part isnt review this is straight up me just theorizing what is going to happen later in the story so if im wrong pls just ignore this. so like in keeping with the tale the prince doesnt go door to door with the shoe trying on adventure as he isnt allowed bc of his station but he trusts brad with it. and brad who doesnt 100% trust this mystery goes along to see if theres anything else more nefarious going on. so after many many MANY ladies have tried on the shoe they get to the bottom of the list includin the worse household. if it werent for the royal decree he prob wouldve skipped this house because theres no way that any of the spoiled, prissy, awful ppl in this house would be able to be so polite and charming to win over the prince. so hes very much going thu the motions and not paying attention, bc no way the shoe is fitting, and its because hes not really paying attention that he sees a rat in the corner. now seeing a rat in someones home isnt unheard of especially on a property with farm animals,and  rat traps arent like we have in modern times. However what is note worthy is that this rat is wearing a cute lil outfit.

so he asks lady tremaine again if there are any other eligible ladys in the home, and she gives the same answer is her sickenly sweet voice. and hes just like hmmmmmmmm shes hiding something. and they search the home and oop theres a lock door, and there she is! the mice did help her escape, in a way

hahaha i remember as a kid watching the movie and expecting the spell to end in a huge bang bc they were going full speed but instead when the scene cuts back to them cinderella is just, sitting on the pumpkin and everything just stopped and kid me was like :/ ok. so this was very validation for kid me haha.

and the fairy godmother bitting her nail like shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit im already in so much fairy trouble what happens if u accidentally kill the kid ur suposed to godmother?????

hmmmm yeah rollercoaster ride mixed with highadrenaline and full stomach do NOT mix well.

“It’s stupid but…” she sighs, “I think I was scared of them taking it away.”

hnnnnn just fucking rip my heart out. im not the first person to say this, that ppl try to “fix”  cinderella in retellings by making her a girlboss or making the story more feminist, that they ignore the fact that cinderella is a victim of abuse. shes actively living in an abusive home, in poor condition with no support. we only see a snippet in the movie but that scene of the dress ripping, and how casually it was done, just shows how comfortable the family was in treating her that way. so cinderella having things like food insecurities is so heartbreaking and realistic. as happy as i am for her to get out of that situation, i know that behavior like this is likely going to follow her at the castle until she can relearn what its like to live in a home you feel SAFE in.

whether intentional or not i love how the godmother kind of talks out of time compared to everyone else. it makes her feel more unreal to everything else, like she doesnt fit. (in a good way)

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. ok but social butterfly cinderella finally able to break out of her shell and her kind of shy wall flower husband you happily tags along. and the dancing part, so accurate, i have some dance experience, but dancing with someone who KNOWS what they are doing can make you look like youve been dancing all ur life effortlessly. but not anyone can just do that they have to be a good lead. (side tangent of right i was reviewing)

The prince glances over his shoulder at the Captain of the Royal Guard.

“Oh--hey---” the prince blinks a few times.

“...awfully odd, that girl,” the Captain folds his arms.

“I--” the prince draws a breath in through his teeth, “ I need to find her.” 

“Understood,”  the captain of the guard nods, “I’ll send guard details on every road leading out of the palace.”

“What?! No--that’s insane! She’s going to think I’m--No, I can’t approve of that...” the Prince is pressing his fingertips to his forehead, his other hand still gripping the slipper.

“I gotcha,” the guard captain says with a wink, “’Don’t’ send horsemen after her.”

“Did you just--Brad--don’t--no. I said no. No winks. Don’t send any guards after her, I’ll look psychotic.”

“Eh. Little late for that.” Brad the guard captain shrugs.

“What?”

“Well she and her whole carriage slipped past security somehow, and she got into the ball without even being announced by the Master of Ceremonies. That’s a security risk. And she seemed suspiciously chummy with the waitstaff. And if she ditched the party in this much of a hurry, she might’ve taken state secrets or something. So, obviously, I sent the horsemen...” he checks his pocket watch, “3 minutes ago.”

POKEMON BADGES ARE GIRL SCOUT BADGES?!

Holy shit i think that's it! On the early sprites and artwork for Red you can see some sort of weird big circle pattern on his hat, his shirt, a different place on his hat, with no consistancy. And i've just seen one concept art where it seems to have the Cascade Badge logo on it?? So were they originally envisioned as fabric badges that trainers would sew onto their clothes as a status symbol similar to scouts? That would kinda explain why you saw trainers holding their pokeballs on belts and bandoliers in the first gen, like i know everyone jokes about them being ammo holders but what if they were scout sashes? And then i guess it was just one of the many things that the anime reinterpreted that then became canon in later games. Like how pokeballs didnt have a button and used to literally look like gachapon capsules including one half being translucent so you can see the pokemon inside. Which would also literally shrink via magic rather than being stored in cyberpunk super energy technology. The Adventures manga actually kept this idea and i think its super neat!

Mannnn i wish they'd kept the fabric badges now. Im kinda torn tho? Like i understand that them being tiny plastic/metal clip ons makes more logical sense, and the whole thing of sticking them inside your coat pocket and dramatically revealing them would look coolwr in the anime and also save on having to draw them on the character model 100% of the time. But on the other hand fabric badges is such a cool cute and nostalgic aesthetic! It makes them feel more like an accomplishment, sorta? And more like this world has established a culture around the concept of gym challenges, if you see people wearing their badges in different ways as a fashion statement. It also makes a lot more sense as a thing you'd give to kids, like maybe kids get this version and the metal badge version is an alternate miniature equivelant for adults who feel theyre too mature for the normal one. And its cute to imagine it as an excuse for the player character to go back to visit their mom so she can help them sew on their new badge and congratulate them! Daww! Or imagining the kids being very responsible and talented if they were able to carry around their own sewing kit. It could explain the accessories for pikachu and eevee in the new game, like the protag learned to sew for the sake of his adventure and then he was just mending his clothes and then he actually ended up really enjoying it and learning to make miniature copies of his outfits for his new best buddy pikachu. :3 Oh oh, or maybe all the gym leaders are just nice kindly big sibling/parental figures to all the kids who beat them? You have tea together afterwards and they help sew on your badge and give you some tips for the next leg of your journey and a big ol motovational speech and also imagine Lt Surge's raichu cuddling your pikachu and acting as a move tutor to it? I will continue to aggressively headcanon lt surge as a good man because im still mad about the anime making him an asshole and telling me im supposed to hate raichu and not want pikachu to evolve. I evolved my pikachu in pokemon yellow IMMEDIATELY after that episode, i was so mad! Like yeah ash's pikachu has every right to not want to evolve, thats his decision. But that doesnt mean that lt surge's raichu is bad because it made the other decision! You could have just said pikachu doesnt want to evolve without making its evolution look like something the kids arent allowed to want. :( and also making a random gym leader an evil guy when nothing implied thatvin his game version :( what if he was a nice man with ptsd from his time in the war and he just saw you like pikachus too and he wanted to be a nice mentor figure to you and also he is Spark's uncle and also he hugs his raichu every day :( I love lt surge cos i was told to hate him, just like how i love Gaspar the random traded haunter in diamond and pearl just because they wrote his trainer being a jerk. I had to train him to level 100 just to spite her! Ans now i have to cherish lt surge to spite the anime!! I will style my pikachu's hair like him and take selfies together and be all hashtag my new pokemon dad. Hyunjin + Changbin

it's my first time doing this type of content so please reblog and put in the tags what you think and maybe i'll do more!!

and @versekiller wanted a HyunBin au so i gave her one

so changbin's family owns a flower shop

they live above their shop and its super cute

the flower shop is really popular because of that ONE worker

yes that worker is changbin

reason number 1 is bc he is always smiling

all the ladies (young and old) love him so much

HE ALSO WEARS A DIFFERENT COLOURED FLOWER PRINT SHIRT EVERY SINGLE DAY

it's because he doesnt want to ruin the perfect flower aesthetic image of the shop if he only wears black lmao

he started working in the shop during one of his school holidays and his mum basically persuaded him to continue working there bc he brings in so many people

okok so lets start

since changbin wears a different coloured flower print each day

he wore a yellow one one day

but it wasnt flower printed

IT WAS CACTUS PRINTED

he didnt know it because he had to open the shop early that day and was basically half asleep putting on his clothes

he was still doing a great job tho selling loads of flowers to the regulars that day

so changbin was minding his own business sitting at the front of the shop snipping off thorns from roses since there were lesser customers

he was lookin cute wearing his cactus shirt, his apron and his gloves

and he's got his own music (3RACHA obvies) playing in the background

something interrupted his flow

IT WAS A FLASH AND A CLICK

but changbin LOOKS AT THE DAMN SKY

why?

he thought it was lightning and that it was gonna rain

he has to pull out the shelter thingy over the flowers if it does rain

a precious dumbass

but the skies were super blue that day, not even a cloud in the sky

so changbin was like

Eh? Where did that come from?

He looked around before spotting another boy

The other boy was holding a camera and only wearing black

he basically stood out from all the other colourful shops in that lane so he was easy to spot

Changbin chuckled a little looking at the dudes bucket hat (hm i wonder who) but tried to cover it up with a cough

Camera dude panicked and almost dropped his camera

boi he aint slick at all

Changbin took off his gloves and wiped his hands on his apron before approaching the dude

(lmao he forgot he was snipping off thorns)

SO BASICALLY HE ACCIDENTALLY SCRATCHED HIMSELF BUT HE DIDNT KNOW YET

Changbin walks up to the dude and asks if he wanted to buy any flowers (his mum would kill him if he didnt do customer service)

Camera dude was all flustered and held out his hand

"NWLDJWONN SORRY FOR TAKING THE PHOTO OF YOU ITS JUST THAT THE SHOP JUST LOOKED REALLY PRETTY AND I HAVE TO TAKE IT FOR A PROJECT"

Changbin tilted his head back and looked up at the tall camera boy

"nah man its alright we get that a lot, do you still want flowers tho?"

AND CHANGBIN WENT TO SHAKE HIS HAND AND WHEN HE LET IT GO

THERE WAS LIKE BITS OF BLOOD

"Wait omg shit im so sorry i didnt know i scratched myself"

so here we have two boys panicking over blood before changbin's mum called

its not a lot of blood but if u shake someone hand with your own blood its kinda weird

"BINNIE WHO IS THAT, IS IT A FRIEND"

Changbin looked back at his mum and showed her his hand

But camera dude answered back "Hello Auntie, i'm Hyunjin and I think Binnie just cut his hand and theres some blood"

BEODSNDKN CHANGBIN BLUSHED BECAUSE CAMERA DUDE CALLED HIM BINNIE

"Bring him in the shop binnie"

SoooOooO camera dude followed behind Changbin into the shop to wash his hands

"Sorry for getting blood on your hands Hyunjin"

"Thats ok binnie" and Hyunjin flashed a really cute smile which made changbin all shy

BUT CHANGBIN TRYNA ACT FAKE TOUGH

"Please call me Changbin, my mum calls me Binnie just to embarrass me"

"But Binnie sounds cuter" is2g hyunjin is so smooth im gonna die

so they finished washing their hands and hyunjin looks around the shop

"Do you mind if i take more photos outside the store, the flowers are really pretty"

in changbin's head he's all like "Omg what is this dude on about he is even prettier than the flowers we sell oh my"

irl, changbin just nods his head and goes back to his seat at the front of the store snipping off more thorns

Hyunjin was snapping lots of photos of the flowers and the store and then he suddenly laughed

"Binnie you stand out from the flowers so much with that yellow cactus shirt"

Changbin was all confuzzled and hyunjin showed him the photo

The photo had changbin in it and all the flowers were behind him

changbin was the main focus of the photo

"Hey youre a pretty good photographer"
