i feel bad for solas fans who do appreciate him for being an interesting self-righteous piece of shit having to share a space with people who say "idk solas killing felassan seems ooc :/ i never understood it :/"
#i dont even LIKE veilguard i stopped playing it bc i got bored and just watched other ppl finish it instead...#and they did drop the ball on a LOT of solas stuff i'm still annoyed about them cutting out the agents he had.#but PERSONALITY-WISE that's him. that's solas. the writing may not be The Best.#but solas IS consistent for the most part personality-wise between inquisition and veilguard.#he was playing a Role in inquisition#and in veilguard he's playing Another Role where you actually start to see the cracks as rook.

To me, Machete kind of has the energy of a secondary villain/coldhearted side character in someone else's story that a lot of fans latch onto, moreso than the protagonist. Question is, would he be the villain in anyone's story?
Why, thank you! I'm actually glad to hear he gives off that vibe. I don't think he set out to become a villain but a lot of people certainly view him as one.
#in the 16th century canon he starts out as an introverted but sincerely well meaning guy that never quite manages to find his social niche#he was a sensitive kid and when subjected to enough pressure#his insecurity fearfulness and powerlessness mutate into distrust resentment aggression suffocating repression and self-restraint#I don't think he's a bad person in fact he consistently tries very hard to do the right thing#do his job properly avoid letting people down and get through life with a sense of dignity#but he is supposed to come across kind of cold impersonable and difficult to be around if you don't know him personally (and very few do)#people can sense there's something wrong with him and are put off by it#Vatican is a nest of vipers and as the stakes rise he retreats deeper into his coldblooded untouchable work persona#he has no choice but to start lying scheming blackmailing and eliminating his enemies#in order to maintain his position keep Vasco safe their relationship under wraps and his own head above water#essentially playing by the same rules everyone else in the holy see has been playing with for centuries#eventually he loses his spot as the secretary of state and is manipulated/forced to take on a role in the roman inquisition#and if people were sort of iffy about him before being the authority overseeing trials torture excommunications and executions doesn't help#and since he has so few allies and such an infamous reputation he's an easy target for scapegoating whenever necessary#towards the end it dawns on him that he's become the kind of twisted cruel corrupt person he used to fear and despise#and the guilt moral injury and abject self-loathing had largely sapped him of his will to live by the time the final assassin gets him#answered#anonymous#Machete#Vaschete lore#he thought his dream of priesthood would make him a better person more worthy of admiration safety and love but he climbed too high#and got roped up in the dangerous games that take place under god's nose and slowly got strangled to death

Varric doesn't give you the nickname Rook, your whole faction calls you Rook. It makes no sense to give you a faction specific last name and then your faction doesn't even use it, but yeah.
Hi hi!
This will be a bit of a ramble, sorry.
Varric, as a character, gives nicknames to those he's around for any length of time. (Solas is Chuckles, Merrill is Daisy, Vivi is Iron Lady, etc. Very few people in close contact with him will escape earning a moniker. I can go on about how I think it's one of his ways of telling people he sees them, but I digress.) The player character has been traveling with him for a year/the better part of a year. Varric would have definitely given them a nickname in that time. (Honestly it shocks me Harding doesn't have one by now but maybe he tried and she shut that down like Aveline once did lol) When you're putting out your things in the Lighthouse one of them is his shaving mirror and you have a moment of reflection about what he said when he hands it to you. There's also the whole time where he's giving you advice and guides you (IYKYK) and it's clear he means a lot to a Rook and they're close.
That is to say, no matter what faction you were with, you left in disgrace. You broke some code the higher ups held dear, messed up well laid plan, ignored orders to save people, etc. You didn't "fit the bill" for your faction and were summarily "adopted" by Varric to help in his hunt for Solas. Those things that made you a bad fit for your original faction? Made you perfect for what he's doing. A good person that doesn't let the potential costs stop them; they see what needs to happen to help people and will run head first into it and manage to figure a way through the most fucked up situations possible.
When you first meet Neve, you're introduced as Rook. "Like the chess piece?" Yes! One of the most powerful pieces on the board, "but tends to think in straight lines". Which becomes evident in all our shenanigans as Rook through the game. Rook's ability to claw their way through the worst situations and be flexible and creative means that Solas wouldn't be able to predict them or what they'll do. Which turns out to be right; he doesn't expect you to drop a statue on him in the middle of a massive ritual. Rook saw only "this ritual needs to stop NOW" and found a way, no matter the consequences.
I didn't hear that dialogue my first game, though, because I did my first run as a Shadow Dragon. Neve doesn't comment on the naming convention because instead Varric says you both do work with the Shadow Dragons and she just skims past the naming convention to say "Oh, what a coincidence." You are still introduced as Rook at first; it's not until later when you're in the Lighthouse where you can have the conversation that you've heard of each other even though you've never worked together.
Because even if I've worked in the group beside you under the same boss for 20 years, if you're introduced to me as "Rook" instead of "_____ Mercar" I'm not going to know who you are. It's not until later, probably while you're unconscious and she has a chance to speak to Harding, that she says she knows who you are. (Based on what Bellara says when you find her in the forest, you've been out cold for two or three days. Can you imagine what our detective figured out in two or three days?)
All that to say, if "Rook" was given to you by the Shadow Dragons, Neve would have said "Oh! I heard of a Rook." instead of just "Oh! What a coincidence we're both Shadow Dragons." She doesn't comment on who you are and what you've done until later when you have a chance to talk to her in the Lighthouse.
And throughout the game, you continue to be introduced as Rook. Even if you started as another faction, if you're written a letter about "Rook" and not your real name, why would anyone know who Rook is until they meet and go "Oh this lil shit right here. I know this asshole."
#veilguard#i love varric and i'm trying not to write an essay#plus all the meta reasons on why he probably picked rook after listening to solas and bull's chess match#and thought his perfect weapon to hunt solas deserved a chess moniker in nod to the man's strategic mind#nevermind the whole ooc thing the story set up for the castle gambit where you can swap the rook and king's places#where solas sets you up as a leader (king) with regrets that would be able to take his place and then swaps with you#frankly the people saying the writing in this game sound like they didn't pay attention because they've put the previous games on a pedesta#this game is more like da2 where we're a specific character and not a blank slate like origins or inquisition#we have a specific role to play as a specific character because anything else solas would have seen them coming#there is SO FUCKING MUCH in this game and honestly i think a lot of it is just the fact that the other games have had time for analysis#and outside q&a and other shit to fully explore every nuanced detail and this game is still super duper new#it hasn't had time to fully stretch it's wings yet and people are still missing all these details#batty is rambling

on the one hand i love harping and moaning over missed opportunities for previous dragon age companion cameos bc sometimes bioware really whiffs it (i long for the world where merrill is the eluvian expert instead of morrigan) but. on the other hand. sometimes it’s like. why would that character show up. answer quickly. the answer can’t be that it’s because you like them. it feels very reminiscent of having to accept that our wardens will never make another appearance.
#edit: panicked and added ‘instead of morrigan’ to clarify. this is a bellara love zone#‘zevran should have been in veilguard’ and what would he do. he canonically does not fuck with the crows.#like ik a lot of us are still mourning our inquisitors being super in the background and missed cameos#and sidelined love plots if you didn’t romance solas#and etc etc etc#but can morrigan be an example that sometimes an extended cameo makes a character worse ASLDJSJFJAJJDJS#like varric imo is the only continued main character who remains overall consistent#and even then depending on how you played da2 vs. inq that could be a false statement#but like. i banked on josephine being in veilguard when i figured that we would see antiva#and that the inquisition would still have some presence#she literally however. has no place in the plot of veilguard.#and also since i’m on this soapbox already#i also mourn what the inquisitor could have been in veilguard#i did love his (mine) presence where it was but also very like. blank slate insert.#i too had theories upon theories of how big the inq’s role could have been#and i went near apoplectic when bioware said that the inq’s story was over after trespasser#and i am still mad today that drinking from the well of sorrows had literally no actual impact on the story#bc solas is in rook’s head and morrigan has the aspect of mythal#however. sometimes. when i see people now be like ‘the inq shouldve been the hero of veilguard’#i just kinda. softly side eye like. we had nearly a decade preparing for this. we’ve known since trespasser that they won’t be.#and even then bioware confirmed in like. what. 2020/2021? that da4 would have a new hero#like trust me i get the umbrage and if i dwell on it then yeah past frustrations boil up#but also tbf trespasser did end with the inq literally saying that they need to find people that solas doesn’t know#besides i love rook as a hero i think they’re fun#i saw someone say that rook was brought in to make the game accessible to new players and even if that’s true#i think veilguard is near impossible to play if you haven’t played /at the very least/ inquisition and it’s dlcs#but yeah tldr. honestly as i come to play veilguard more and love it more and more i will naturally become more critical#as i am with inquisition (my beloved game that i sometimes want to uproot)#but honestly. i wanted to enjoy veilguard so after a while i just had to like. put my inq back in his toy box and accept that he’s gonna be#a bit of a paper doll for the rest of the games

The Devil for the DATV ask game? :D
Thanks for asking!! (List of questions here if anyone is curious or wants to send others :3)
The Devil: What type of demon is most likely to target Rook? Why?
this one is good, so I had to think about it for a bit! I think Lilya would be most likely to attract a despair demon, or one of the ones related to them (like the remorse or regret ones that come up in the side quests in Minrathous in da4).
Explaining the why means getting a little handwavey with the story the game actually gives us for a MW mage!Rook and also sort of about how it seems to present the MW in general (or maybe I’ve just been too lost in the sauce of mage rights or mage fights for too long that it made me go huh that doesn’t sound right).
The game tells us MW Rook was found in the Necropolis as an infant on the background’s title card. However, a mage MW Rook tells Emmrich they ran around around the city for a while before their magic kicked in, and then they were found by the Mortalitasi and presumably, given the course of that conversation, raised by them? There’s contradictions to the stories they give us, and also to what we know from previous installments about how the Orlesian Chantry--which, unique funerary practices aside, Nevarra still follows-- works. Nevarra has two mage Circles including the one in Cumberland where the College is, and the one in Perendale that has a whole side quest in Inquisition about how the mages were afraid to leave it because they were afraid of how the people in the city would treat them given the whole mage-templar war.
So for Lilya, personally, I think if she did run around some in the city before her magic developed, she was too young to remember it. Then a guardian or parent brought her to the Necropolis, perhaps when she started showing magic and out of concern for her wellbeing, where she was found by the spirits, like the game describes. I think she probably stayed with the Mortalitasi for a while before her magic really kicked in and couldn't be overlooked, and then she was sent to the nearest Circle, like any other mage in a country that follows the Orlesian Chantry would've been before the Circles are abolished during Inquisition. I imagine the Mourn Watch make an arrangement for her to go through her Harrowing and join them back in the Necropolis when she's old enough.
And then the Banner Wars happens and they send her away. Again.
So Lilya has a fear of abandonment from having it happen multiple times, especially at a young age, and a very desperate longing to have a place and a family of sorts where she belongs. She, of course, buries this under several heavy layers of snarkiness, sarcasm, bad puns, and a gigantic “fawn” response in situations where other people might have fight or flight.
I think given that, and I think it was a despair demon pulling the strings in the fade quest in origins, by putting people in either remembered situations, or in idealistic situations based on what the demon thinks the companions would want (though maybe that was sloth. I don’t feel like checking it at the moment though xD), it could easily pull on the insecurities and self-criticism she has; creating a little idealistic alternate version of events where slowly, the companions express disappointment and eventually leave, until it’s just her.
#lilya ingellvar#mourn watch rook#i have Opinions on the complete lack of anything to do with the mage-templar repercussions in da4#but i am mostly ignoring it because i am having fun playing the game itself#which is more than what i can say for inquisition#even if dai still seemed more consistent lorewise#as far as i'm aware tevinter is the only country where mages would have freedom#like nevarran mages have some to some extent but so did vivienne and so did wynne#like we know the orlesian chantry lets *some* mages have certain freedoms in exchange for good behavior#but also like....the mourn watch's role is to guard the city of the dead#i don't think they'd have time to teach wayward crypt babies everything too#and there's no mention of there being a school or circle actually in the necropolis#so it seems weirdly inconsistent with established things#like emmrich also says he was brought there after his parents died...instead of to a circle#like devs please explain. make it make sense with established worldbuilding please

In general that is a good scene for how it shows the first big instance of one of his many masks slipping and (in some cases) him starting to hold the Inquisitor in a higher regard (referring to our people instead of just his) and a very casual, almost cocky use of his magic in a way that he hadn't really displayed before. But it also gave us his stupid saunter which really makes it shine for me. I wish we'd seen more of him strutting around in Veilguard much as I love his really pathetic gay little run.
#signed#I miss Inquisition Solas really badly unfortunately I love observing how he plays his self-defined roles

Considering Davrin is a grey warden and we've seen a battle in Weisshaupt, I hope it's explained what the fuck went down between the northern and southern Grey Wardens, since we do have mentions that shit happened (so much shit that Hawke was stranded in Weisshaupt for two years, jesus)
#i wonder if it's like a grey warden civil war between the south and the norh#bc give or take their situations are very different#like we know tthat because of how affected by the blight the anderfels is the warden there are more respected#and play a more significant role#but then in the south you have ferelden losing all but two grey wardens during a blight#and before that they had been exiled for 200 years i think#and in inquisition we see it's the orlesian grey wardens turn to be fucked in the ass#so i wonder if this is why the order is shown to be fractured#i can also see soemthing among the lines of maybe the southern ones not wanting to be that secretive anymore#bc give or take keeping this many secrets is causing the wardens trouble#bc people don't know why they're the only oens who can end the blight so it lends to not caring#and also the south is not as run over by darkspawn so without blights yeah the wardens don't seem to have a lot to do#so i wouldn't be surprised if they were also trying to like do more than just beat up darkspawn#also if my memory serves me well#i think if blackwall becomes a warden for real he does mention something going on

The one thing I do low key hate about the DA fandom that i simply can't escape due to being lazy as hell about blocking for the fandom (I don't care enough) but it's the way a majority of people will just....dub a character to be the "main" or the "best" romance and suddenly before even meeting the character I already know too much
#like with origins....he's my bestie but sometimes I don't want to see Z3v and then for II it's And3rs and like everyone#who got really into role playing the relationship with him is super complex#for inquisition....WHICH I HAVENT EVEN FINISHED LMAOOO (I will...eventually) it's Blonde Templar and Dr Sad Wolf#for the upcoming game....it's that mage killer dude and I GENUINELY don't understand why people automatically want to be a mage that romance#the dude....like??? do yall have the 'I can fix him' fantasy??? because for me in those scenarios it always makes me think of#'you're not like the OTHER ones. you're a good one!' and that makes me feel suuuuper gross#because yadda yadda yadda I'm Black and a woman and these things have been said to me and those I care about blah blah

It speaks volumes when Lavellan calls Solas a "terrible liar" in the Cobbled Swan. Rook is, of course, confused by this. "He's the god of lies," she says. But Lavellan clarifies, because that's not what she means. She means that he can't tell "lies of the heart." That is why he had to turn her away, because he actually could not deceive her.
Varric, very early in the game, also refers to Solas as "sentimental." He says to Rook, "He could burn the world down, and the thing that would make him cry is a single flower with blackened petals."
There's something very interesting about the elven god of lies and deceit, who unwillingly wears his heart on his sleeve, essentially creating a new version of the world in which all sources of raw, magical *emotion* that, according to him, used to imbue it with so much life and beauty have been compartmentalized from the more brutish, harsh aspects of the physical world. Because he, himself, has had to do this very thing to his own heart. He's "split." A very cool archetype. When he tells the Inquisitor to "harden her heart to a cutting edge" in Inquisition, he is projecting. Solas has built a "veil" within himself, to protect his more stern, militaristic identity as The Dread Wolf from the effusive, soft, and intelligent man that is Solas. It's the only way he can get anything done. Perhaps we should more aptly call him the god of stoicism and compartmentalization.
It's also interesting how well characters like Varric seem to know Solas, because it communicates that Solas did open up to the people of the Inquisition, during which time he "played the role" of quiet, unassuming Fade mage. Perhaps this wasn't a role at all, however, and perhaps this is why he is failing so spectacularly now. Who he really is is just this man who fell in love and made friends and found a home within a community where he did not have to cut off his emotions in order to lead. This was the "breach" in his plans, so to speak. It tore his world apart.
The whole story of Veilguard actually starts because Varric knows he can appeal to Solas's emotions and that this has a high chance of working to some degree. It's important to remember that while Varric didn't change Solas's mind at the ritual site, he was able to keep Solas talking long enough for Rook to sabotage his plans. Solas entertains Varric's pleas, because, sort of as Rook guesses with Lavellan at the Cobbled Swan, in some ways, Solas wants to be stopped. He wants someone to pull the reins on him because he is too prideful to stop himself.
Thinking back to Trespasser, I remember we all sort of knew this right away just in reading his body language. I remember someone making a whole post about it, and how he will not allow her to get too close to him. When she approaches, he takes a very measured step back. And later, as he takes the anchor, a task which requires him to take her hand, we see exactly why this is. He breaks down, calls her his "love," and kisses her. He is so stern and so measured and in "control," but then, all it takes is a single touch from the woman to whom he showed a glimpse of his true heart, his true self, to bring him to his knees.
The Veil as a narrative manifestation for how Solas tends to seal his own raw emotions away from others in order to function as the revolutionary general he had to be for centuries is a very beautiful construct to me.

The DA:TV panel was so fun! The cast seems to really enjoy their characters and each other.
Some tidbits I enjoyed:
-For the “which DA character would you romance question”: Zach Mendez was very flustered over his love for The Iron Bull. There was a pause when no one else was answering the question and he said, “you’re just gonna leave me hanging when I just said I want to have sex with the Iron Bull?” 😂 Also, Ali Hillis was flustered over her love for Emmerich and said she’d be joining his admirers. Nick Borraine said he loves Manfred (unclear if he’d romance Manfred if giving the chance????), and he thinks Solas’s story is very sexy.
-As others have mentioned, Zach did mocap for Assan and he said “when you’re hugging Assan, you’re hugging me” (after they showed a clip of him filming mocap for the Assan hug).
-Jessica Clark described playing Neve as “freeing”. Ashley Barlow helped her embrace her lower register, which she said was a refreshing change from often playing roles where she is asked to use a softer/higher voice. She also talked about doing mocap for Neve and how creating such an imposing, badass character (especially ad a tall woman herself and as someone who doesn’t get to embody those roles in her other work as much) was freeing.
-Ashley Barlow said Zach Mendez is very funny IRL and brought some of his humor to Lucanis. He also voices and did mocap for several other roles. Apparently he recorded lines for Antoine the Grey Warden in a “bad French accent”, but he’s not sure if they ended up keeping him as Antoine’s voice
-Nick Borraine just really loves Emmerich (and Manfred)
-Ali Hillis got a lot of love from the rest of the cast/crew and the moderator (who said Scout Harding is “Inquisition inner circle in my heart”

Mercury In Houses In Groom Persona chart
[In a groom's personal chart, **Mercury** represents his style of communication, intellectual pursuits, thought processes, decision-making, and how he expresses himself in relationships. It governs his ability to analyze situations, convey his ideas, and maintain mental connections with his spouse. Mercury's placement in a groom's chart reveals how he engages in conversations, resolves conflicts, and the role intellectual compatibility plays in his marriage.]
(PS: For entertainment Purpose Only. Have Fun❤)
**Mercury in the 1st House**
The groom has a sharp, inquisitive mind and likes to express himself straightforwardly. He is articulate, witty, and candid with his partner. His attitude toward relationships is analytical; he discusses emotions instead of acting on impulse. His spouse will likely find him intellectually stimulating but at times perhaps too logical or critical. This placement suggests a tendency to rely on reason rather than intuition, which could create challenges in emotional conversations. A partner who appreciates his mental clarity and engages in lively debates will match his energy. He is likely to attract partners who value intelligence and humor.
**Mercury in the 2nd House**
The groom focuses on practical communication, particularly about finances and security. He may be particular with financial planning and discuss their common objectives with his spouse. In general, his conversations do not dwell on abstract ideas, but on practical matters; therefore, he is a realistic, sensible, and down-to-earth partner. In a relationship, he values stability, though there is also a risk of over-concentration on material issues that needs to be balanced by his partner through emotional and creative expressions. He might be extremely good in business partnerships with his wife, successful in those dealing with clarity of thought and strategy. Intellectual security is his equivalent of financial security.
**Mercury in the 3rd House**
It makes the groom a conversationalist. He thrives on intellectual exchanges and enjoys learning from his partner. He values openness in relationships and looks for a spouse who is articulate and curious. He likes to debate ideas and problem-solve with his partner, so his partner needs to be comfortable with a lot of discussion. Though mentally agile, there is a risk of overthinking or restlessness in relationships. A partner who loves learning and variety as much as he does will keep him emotionally satisfied. Quick-witted and charming, he's often the life of the party.
**Mercury in the 4th House**
The groom is introspective and deeply values meaningful conversations about home and family. He seeks a partner who shares his love for nurturing a warm, communicative domestic life. This placement often indicates a strong mental connection with family members or a deep attachment to childhood memories. He may enjoy talking about family traditions, building a home library, or working on intellectual projects from home. While protective and thoughtful, he may sometimes over-analyze family dynamics or struggle to detach the emotional from the logical. His ideal spouse is someone who can balance his reflective nature with light-hearted companionship.
**Mercury in the 5th House**
This placement suggests a groom in love with creative and playful communication. He is playful and loves to flirt, tease, joke, and mentally stimulate his lover. He brings much charm and lightness into the relationship through his words and may turn it into a continuous and ebullient companionship. He could also possess skills regarding telling stories, writing, or performing and frequently is imaginative in declaring his love. While he craves the exciting newness of love, the drab routine might deter him from commitments. His ideal partner would be someone who sparks his imagination and shares a similar sense of humor. Together, they are sure to create an energetic and entertaining relationship.
**Mercury in the 6th House**
The groom is very detail-conscious and appreciates practical communication in relationships. He expresses love through service and little acts of useful help, such as problem-solving or organizing one's life. He seeks a spouse who appreciates his intellectual contributions and shares his commitment to efficiency. While he is reliable and diligent, he might sometimes be overly critical or perfectionist, which could strain the relationship. His ideal partner would be someone who appreciates his practicality and encourages him to lighten up and enjoy life. Marriage is a partnership to him, for mutual support and sharing responsibilities.
**Mercury in the 7th House**
The groom strongly emphasizes communication and mental compatibility in his relationships. He prefers a partner who will engage him in deep intellectual conversations, discussing mutually shared goals. A good indication is that he might attract a spouse who is intelligent, tactful, and eloquent. There might be a danger of intellectualizing emotions, although he is good at problem-solving through talking. His ideal marriage involves a perfect balance of mental stimulation and emotional closeness. He feels better in relationships where both partners could learn something new from each other and work together for their goals.
**Mercury in the 8th House**
The placement of Mercury in the 8th House refers to a groom who wants depth and transformation through communication. He is attracted to deep discussions about life, death, and everything else mysterious. He values a partner who can engage him on a soul-deep level, exploring hidden truths and shared vulnerabilities. While he is insightful and intuitive, his intense curiosity might sometimes make his partner feel exposed. He must learn to balance his probing nature with empathy. Shared finances and secrets may play a significant role in his marriage, requiring honest and open communication. His ideal spouse is one who embraces emotional and intellectual intimacy.
**Mercury in the 9th House**
The groom is philosophical and seeks a partner who shares his love for learning and exploration. He enjoys discussing big ideas, such as spirituality, culture, or global issues, and may meet his spouse through travel or education. His conversations are often optimistic and forward-looking, inspiring those around him. While he values intellectual freedom, at times, he may feel restless or afraid of being tied down. His ideal match would be someone who encourages his sense of adventure yet can stabilize him. Together, they are likely to take intellectual or physical journeys, making a marriage full of growth and discovery.
**Mercury in the 10th House**
The groom is ambitious and a good communicator both at work and in personal life. He wants a partner who will support his career and share his vision for success. His conversations often revolve around practical matters, such as achieving long-term goals or building a legacy together. While he is an excellent planner, he might sometimes prioritize work over emotional connection, which his partner should balance by fostering intimacy. This placement suggests that his marriage may affect his status, making him more regarded or esteemed in his community. He fares well in a partnership that merges ambition with mutual understanding.
**Mercury in the 11th House**
This placement presents the groom as one who desires friendships and shared ideals in love relationships. He derives delight in discussing future plans, social causes, and community involvement with his partner. His ideal partner would be someone who shares his dreams and supports his urge to leave a positive mark on the world. Though open-minded and progressive, he may at times struggle with emotional intimacy, since his focus might be more on ideas rather than feelings. A partner would do well to encourage balance by fostering both intellectual and emotional connections. They are likely to engage in projects together that help their community or further a mutual cause.
**Mercury in the 12th House**
The groom is introspective and deeply intuitive in his communication style. He often processes thoughts and emotions privately, seeking a partner who understands his need for quiet reflection. This placement suggests a groom who values spiritual or emotional connection over superficial conversation. While he is empathetic and thoughtful, he might struggle to express his feelings openly, which could create misunderstandings. His ideal partner is someone with whom he can be vulnerable and who encourages him to be honest with his feelings. Together, they can build a relationship based on mutual understanding and shared inner growth.

Being a single dad was not an easy job, but Joel made it work somehow. With lots and lots of pancakes and promised sleepovers at friends houses if Sarah kept her grades up.
Another Friday night at home alone while Sarah was in the next town over, probably hopped up on soda and candy, Joel digs out his laptop from the bag on the floor and sets it up on the cherrywood coffee table. The house was quiet for the most part, the low humming of the dryer down the hallway in the laundry room.
Booting up the old computer, Joel tilts his head back on the sofa and makes sure his brown curtains are closed along with the white blinds he just put up a few weeks ago. Joel's finger moves against the worn trackpad, opening up the DVD rom to pop in the movie he rented from blockbuster on his drive home from dropping off Sarah.
Joel reads the cover while it loads to open. His favorite actress being the main character got him all excited and may have been the only reason he rented it to begin with. It definitely wasn’t because she was playing a vampire in a latex bodysuit.
About halfway through the movie and many scenes later of this character being an absolute badass, Joel could feel the growing tension in his jeans. Wanting to take care of the problem to finish the movie he'd grown invested in, he pauses it and opens up a web browser and goes to his tried and true adult website. The amount of pop up ads always annoyed him, he just wanted to find something to watch and keep it moving.
Until tonight.
A banner flashes right above the search bar filled with his previous endeavors, the colors immediately catching his eyes.
“What the hell is this?” He mutters to himself as he watches the words change.
A number pops up with tiny images of girls in the corner of the banner. Feeling adventurous, he digs out his phone from his pocket and dials the number before it changes to a new ad.
He’s met with an automated message, overly seductive and giving him the rundown of what he’s getting himself into. His finger hovers over the pound button to confirm he was consenting to this, that he was willing to continue. The line beeps a few times before a new message starts to play.
”Press one if you want to meet me, the girl next door.”
The voice changes to a new girl, “press two if you want to fix my leaky pipes.”
Another different voice, “press three if you want to punish me for not turning in my college essay.”
”Press four to meet me and my best friend, Layla.”
”Hit five if you wanna romp in the hay with me, yeehaw!”
Joel snickers at the generic attempt at a southern accent.
“Call me into your office by pressing six!”
Joel could hardly contain himself at all the options he was given, and he had three more he’d yet to hear.
“Select seven to meet me, Vixen the d-“
Before the voice finished speaking, his finger pushed a button and he wasn’t sure which one he chose. Frankly, he was excited for any of them.
Your line was ringing and it wasn’t too often it did, no one usually got past Katie and Layla.
Picking up the phone, you smile when you hear the southern drawl in his words.
“Have you been a bad boy today?” You almost whisper into the phone before he responds.
“Y-yes, I have, darlin.” His tone was a little confused, unsure of what he just answered.
You grin and sit up straighter.
“Well, good thing I’m in the mood to punish you.”
Joel’s eyes widen and he doesn’t know what to say. This wasn’t the number he meant to push. He wasn’t really the type of man to want to be told what to do.
From anyone.
“Darlin’ can you tell me which button I pushed by chance?”
He was trying to be as polite as he could and you were going to have some fun with this.
“You pushed seven and here I am; Vixen the Dom.” Smirking at the quiet line, you wonder for a split second if he hung up.
“I-I’m sorry…dom? I don’t know if this is really something I’m into. I mean, that’s great if you’re someone who can but that doesn’t sound like me.”
“I get it. You can’t let go of that control, scared to see a new side to yourself. I understand. If you want to hang up and redial I understand.”
Joel hesitates hanging up and he glides his tongue over his bottom lip.
“What exactly…would I be getting myself into with you, Vixen?”
What a curious man.
“You’d give me control, no backtalk, no resisting, you submit to me. There’s a safeword we can use at any point if it gets to be too much for you. At that point I’d stop and we can calm down, just talk. I never get mad at someone using a safe word.”
“A-and what’s the safe word?” The temptation in his voice shows you he’s interested.
“Hopscotch.”
His chuckle rings through your ear and makes your face warm, giggling at his reaction.
“So, you’ve stayed here this long and I can tell you’re curious. Are you going to let me take control of you, I didn’t get your name” You state, trying to guess before he answers.
“Joel. Names Joel. It’s a pleasure to spend the night with you tonight, Vixen.”
The respect he was giving already showed you how natural it came to him, he was this way in his day to day life.
“You’re going to be my good boy tonight, Joel?”
“Y-yes” he hesitantly responds.
“Yes, ma’am. Repeat it.” Goosebumps raise on your arms and the excitement shakes your core
“Yes ma’am.”
“I’m going to tell you what to think, what to say, I’m going to do everything I want to you until you’re begging me to let you come.” You bite your lip and smirk, your body excited for this phone call.
“I want you to close your eyes and I want you to grab your bulge and rub it, slowly for me,” You say sternly but seductively, propping your legs up so your knees are bent, freehand resting on your abdomen.
You can hear his belt jingle and some shuffling from the other end of the phone, causing you to smirk. He doesn’t get it, it’s new for him. It was painfully obvious but you decided to take it slow for his first time.
“I didn’t say to undo your belt and ditch your pants, did I? I said rub your bulge, just rub it.”
“Y-yes ma’am.” His breath was shaky from anticipation and nerves, it was cute. He has no idea what he’s getting himself into with you.
“Tell me how good it feels, baby. Tell me what you want,” you tease, your fingers dancing above your panty line.
“I wish you were here right now. Tell me to lay on my back while you get on top and ride my face until I'm begging for air. I want you to use me until you come all over my face and make me clean you up before you ride my big dick. Use me, Ms. Vixen, p-please.” Joel’s whimpers make you feel that boiling heat in your stomach before you feel your panties get wet, for a half second he takes your breath away.
“Ms.Vixen? Hm, you’re learning quickly I see. Reach in your pants and take your cock out for me, get it nice and wet. I want to hear how needy you are for me.”
You hear his belt unbuckle followed by the soft sound of him spitting into his hand, married with a groan of pleasure.
“Now, you want to be my good boy tonight, right?” You ask and dip your hand inside your panties, softly teasing yourself. This was so unlike you, normally you didn’t want to touch yourself during a call. He was different.
”You aren’t going to come until I tell you, alright? Think you can handle that, baby?”
“I can handle that, yes ma’am.”
Hearing the wet sounds from him jerking his cock off makes you grin and a moan almost slips out but you catch yourself and give a small giggle.
”It’s cute the way you fuck your hand and pretend its my pussy, big grown man just aching to be put in his place. I want to watch your face when I slip your cock inside me, baby. I’ll keep a fistful of your hair so you keep your eyes on me, let me watch you go to another planet when you realize how deep you are.”
Joel moans loudly and he can’t catch his breath as he imagines how good it would feel inside you and to be used by you.
“Y-yes please, Vixen. Ride my cock and make yourself feel good, I can be whatever you want me to be.”
You circle your clit faster as your legs tremble, your moans swirling together to sound like a beautiful harmony.
“I can ride you and wrap my hand around your throat while I put my panties in your mouth to keep you quiet, wouldn’t want anyone to hear those pretty whimpers, now would we?”
“Can-can you tell me what your panties look like, darlin’? Please.” Joel stutters out and moans just thinking about it.
Biting your lip, you hold the handset closer to your mouth as you continue fingering your soaked cunt with your other hand.
“They’re lace, black of course. With a little red bow right in front of the waistband. Sick little pervert you are. Makes my pussy so wet thinking about you trying to moan my name but I can’t understand you with them in your mouth. Even when you’re begging for more, begging to come I can’t hear you.”
Joel groans louder and all you can see in your head as your eyes are squeezed shut is how handsome he sounds Just the pretty whimpers he makes has you thinking how good looking he must be, how his dick is so slippery in his fist from all the precum and spit.
“I bet you’d lose your mind if I pinned your hands down and really took all control from you, wouldn’t you baby? You’d squirm and try to touch me but you can’t, not while I’m playing with you like a toy. You’re my toy, do you hear me? Mine. Say you’re mine while you jerk off.” Your breaths get shorter as you moan softly, finally letting him hear how turned on you are.
“I’m just your playtoy, Ms.Vixen. Onl-ly yours. I p-promise. Fuck it feels so good, shit.”
The silk sheets under your skin slide under you as you squirm, giving into him a little more with each beg he cries out. This feels like heaven and you can’t get enough of him. Part of you wanted to stop touching yourself to keep him on the phone longer, partially because you didn’t know if he’d ever call again.
“Let go of your pretty cock. Don’t touch it and listen to me.” You demand calmly and smirk when you hear him groan in annoyance.
“Is that an attitude I hear?” you ask condescendingly.
“No ma’am, no ma’am.” he quickly retorts. Good boy.
“I’ve got two fingers inside me right now but they just don’t compare to your cock I bet. You’d probably keep me up all night and let me turn you every which way but loose, hm? Think you could keep up with me, sweetheart? How about I cuff your hands to the bed and suck your cock until you can’t take it anymore and beg to paint my face with your cum.”
You can hear a slew of profanities and Joel groans almost in pain and he whines, “God dammit that’s so hot. Please let me jerk off, baby. It’s killing me not to touch myself while I think about stuffing you full of my dick. Your perfect body on mine, what a pleasure that would be. Please, may I touch myself?”
Clamping your legs closed so you don’t come yourself, you tell him to continue and soon once more your moans mix together.
“I-I need to come, Ms.Vixen. Please let me be a goodboy and come, p-please-oh fuckkk-”
“You want to come for me, baby boy? I’m going to have to think about whether you deserve it or not, sweetheart.”
“Let me show you how good you make me feel, I need you so bad. C’mon baby-oh shittt- please?”
Your breath hitches in your throat and you have this aching urge to hear him come and whimper in your ear. Hearing men be so whiny when they come was music to your ears.
“Go on then, show me the pretty sounds you make when you come, baby. Jerk that fuckin’ cock off while you think about me. Think about coming on my tits, these pretty fucking titties that would look even better with your cock between them. C’mon honey, come for me, right now. Be my favorite toy.”
That was all he needed to hear before he was groaning loudly into the phone, enough to make you cover your mouth and come with him. Couldn’t let him know how down bad he already had you.
Your ears were ringing slightly but you could still hear the shuffling from his end, probably cleaning himself up and the mess he made.
“You alright over there, big guy?” You ask, trying to calm your breathing.
“It was a lot, let’s just say I made a mess” he chuckles and sighs tiredly.
“How was that for your first time being a sub? I tried to take it slow for you.”
“That was uh, that was the best time I’ve had in a while. You really know what you’re doing, huh? I’d love to call you again, maybe your direct line next time?”
You shake your head and chuckle at him. Silly boy.
“I had a fun time tonight, Joel. Maybe if you call me again I’ll think about giving you my phone number.”
“Fair enough. Thank you, Vixen. It was a pleasure. Good night.”
“Good night, my good boy.”
The line goes silent and Joel puts his cellphone down on the couch cushion beside him, taking a deep breath as he circles back over everything he just did. Closing out of the tab and continuing his movie, he enjoyed it but Joel couldn’t stop thinking about you the rest of the night.
Even when he was in his bed trying to sleep, you consumed his brain and he needed more.
A lot more, but of course, only if you let him.

Moon in the Houses of D9 Chart
1st House
When the Moon occupies the first house of your D9 chart, feelings become the driving force in establishing your identity. What you seek in a partner is someone who understands your need to feel things deeply and does not stifle or shun your emotions. You will be able to explore how relationships enhance your self-perception, and together with this individual, you will be at ease revealing the innermost layer of your identity. Prepare for someone who cares about your emotional state and pushes you to go beyond your limits.
2nd House
Possessing the Moon in the 2nd house indicates that the individual seeks a sense of stability and emotional containment within the constraints of relationships. Such a placement often indicates a spouse who prefers coziness, sameness, and pooling of possessions. They may have a serene down to earth personality that provides you with the peace and the assurance you need. The potential mate is most probably an individual who appreciates the need for anchor, perhaps more so one with a strong inclination towards creating a house and providing for the family. Somebody to help you build and maintain good foundations that impart a sense of security and encouragement within the connection and oneself.
3rd House
Having a Moon in the third house indicates a propensity towards relationships that are intellectually stimulating and characterized by plenty of dialogue. One requires a partner who is inquisitive, articulate, and emotionally available. Your spouse might resemble someone who loves talking about anything, serious topic or trivial, thus making you feel bonded by such verbal exchanges. They could be funny, artistic, or thirsting for knowledge and they will offer the mental and emotional challenge you seek. Conversations come easily with them, and you can anticipate enjoying the processes of learning, discovering, and creating with one another.
4th House
When the Moon occupies the Fourth House, one feels the intense craving for a warm and nurturing home which is laudable. Finding a mate who understands the importance of connections, heritages and emotions is the expectation. The potential mate is most probably one who derives satisfaction in the art of home making and prioritizes emotional connection with the propounded mate. Protective, and loving are some of the qualities that she possesses as well as ensuring that you are emotionally secure. 8th House
With the Moon located in the 8th house, there can be a tendency for an individual to seek emotional depth, intimacy, and transformationalism in any relationship. A partner for this person is most likely to be someone with a dark, romantic and intense character. They may provoke your protective emotions, making you deal with your fears and weaknesses. They could be interested in something like working with the mind, the spirit, or the body, and they will encourage you to feel your buried emotions. Such a partner will not shy away from walking on the emotional deep end with you, hence, making the relationship very meaningful and healing as well. Together, you will experience love that is purging and liberating at the same time, through the process teaching you that there is strength in being vulnerable.

This person allows for emotional growth in the relationship and also makes you feel bigger and better than before. It is with them that you will step out of the boundaries and gain lessons from experiences as well as from the internal spiritual quest.
10th House
With the Moon being positioned in the Tenth House, it suggests that you search for someone who will be a stabilizing force, enshrined in respect and potentially elevated social standing. This individual would apply themselves to the work at hand, fulfill commitments, and be dedicated to a cause. Such a person will be supportive of your work and ambitions, and together you will build a lifestyle that will be envied by many. They will help you maintain your public persona and assist you in integrating work and personal fulfillment. This bond will most likely have a beneficial and practical approach, where focus on joint results helps each feel secure emotionally.
11th House
If the Moon is positioned in the 11th house, one’s sense of belonging and emotional contentment are more inclined to friendships, group activities, and common objectives. You are most likely to marry someone who is rather liberal, social and broad-minded, probably someone in the field of charity or in a kind of teams’ work. They will push you to achieve your dreams and strive together with you for them, broadening the scope. This partner will be a confidant, who helps and motivates you to achieve desires that you both cherish. You will embark on a cause, and transform into a pair, inspiring and drawing strength from each other’s endeavors, while the relationship remains the area of comfort and cordiality.
12th House
When the Moon is placed in the twelfth house, it reflects an inclination toward spirituality and a desire to bond with one’s spouse on almost a mystical level. With this position, it can be assumed that one’s future spouse is likely to be an intelligent and kind-hearted person with creative or spiritual interests. They likely are soothing and serene by nature, encouraging you to examine the recesses of your mind. With them, you’ll be able to find emotional comfort, learning how to enjoy one’s company along with peace within oneself. This individual will assist in the loving exploration of more concealed layers of oneself, offering an unwavering love and primeval experience that is far from ordinary, and allowing for the appreciation of deeper, more occult dimensions of existence.

Dragon Age has been doing a really clever thing with its protagonists and the heroic power fantasy that only fully comes together when you look at the series as a whole, so let’s do another ramble. Under a cut to save your dash.
Origins is a traditional RPG power fantasy. It likes to tell you that it’s not by gesturing at Loghain and alluding to unreliable narratives, but what it shows is the power fantasy. No matter what your warden does, they’re the hero. Are you a casual genocide enthusiast? No problem you can still ride off into the sunset looking for a cure. Also hey you have a critical weakness/flaw (the calling) that kind of dooms you or gives you cause to vaguely ride of into the sunset. Very heroic indeed. There’s a layer of textual interest added by the presence of unreliable narratives, but ultimately it’s the hero’s choices that shape and determine the world and story, right down to very gamified relationships. The origins system itself, the fact that your warden could have been anyone, is the actual textual proof that this isn’t all that’s going on. It just only really gets paid off by later games, and that’s pretty important given where this franchise ended up.
—
Enter DA2. Hawke is a champion, not a hero. Hawke fights for those who can’t fight themselves. Hawke can’t save the world. They can’t even save their family or city. It’s a battle of attrition that sees them somehow worse off no matter what. The still-gamified but now more nuanced and challenging relationships become the focus because they’re really all Hawke has. Now the power fantasy is still lurking around the edges. It’s just challenged at every turn. You can free Kirkwall, but Anders is always going to blow up a church.
—
Which brings us to Inquisition. Somehow, you’re both as much of a nobody as Hawke and you’re responsible for more than the Warden. And it’s miserable. The power fantasy is constantly undermined. No matter who your inquisitor was, by the end of the game they’ve been completely subsumed by their role: turns out power has teeth.
In a move that delivers on the unreliable narrative throughline that Origins established and DA2 strengthened, the Inquisitor must play the hero and save the world. It doesn’t matter if your Inquisitor is a kind person doing their best or a racist power-hungry asshole, and that is now a systemic issue within the world itself. The erosion of your character’s personhood is explicit within the text as characters struggle to see you as more than your role and you’re asked to shape the faith of an entire world even if you don’t share that faith. The cost of this erosion is made incredibly literal with Ameridan’s story and then in Trespasser, where the anchor, both cause and symbol of the Inquisitor’s role and power, is killing them. Relationships become somewhat less gamified but more importantly, you’re given an explicit textual mirror in Solas. He’s there to reflect your behavior but also your loss of personhood to a role. It’s essential that he’s the one to save your life at the end of Trespasser. Even if you’ve never shown him a moment’s grace, here is your mirror to see you as a person one last time.
—
And then there’s Rook. Now we play a mirror to Solas, a character who has been the hero, Mythal’s champion, and a man subsumed by his role/s. He’s really the narrative gift that keeps giving.
We walk the dreadwolf’s path this time, and the dreadwolf is a classic tragic hero. He’s stuck in a story where he must save the world and where a critical flaw will always be his downfall. We’re Varric’s second who must step up to champion his cause after the events of the introduction. And we’re barely keeping ourselves together under the burden of leadership. And here is where Veilguard finally delivers everything this franchise ever promised. Because under all that we’re truly just some guy. Just like Solas is just a guy who got stuck in situations he never wanted. His response was to become the hero or play the villain (depending on the story) because that’s easier. But if Rook can truly choose the ‘hard truth’ that the world is never going to “stay fixed” (oh hi Inquisitor… and Hawke… and Warden) and that other people can have better ideas and make hard calls and their own choices? If we don’t have to ‘win’? Rook can reconcile the inevitable tragedies of this kind of story with their very human needs and escape the story altogether. The cost, of course, is the power fantasy.
#no promises but maybe I can finally shut up about theses games and power fantasy#this might have finally gotten it out of my system#grandwitchbird does game analysis kind of#veilguard spoilers#dragon age veilguard#dragon age#dragon age the veilguard

𝐀/𝐍: Is it me or has tumblr updated and it’s harder to use now?? Like I can’t move images like I used to?! Anyways this is inspired by my old mutuals fic (Salty if you see this, hey bestie!! That Doc fic examining player still lives rent free in my head!) Anyways, enjoy!!
𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: In an effort to make amends for neglecting Miguel, you dedicate a night to spend quality time together. However, Miguel has other ideas to make the evening unforgettable— using science.
Your joints clicked as you stood up from your work chair. You’ve finally finished your project that you’ve been putting your blood, sweat and tears into and sacrificed your sleeping schedule to complete.
Your body felt stiff and heavy from sitting in one place for so long. The apartment was quiet as expected to be at this late hour, amplifying the creaks of your joints.
You switched off the monitor before you left your office and plodded upstairs to the bedroom with heavy steps and slouching shoulders.
You found Miguel in the bedroom, engrossed in tinkering with his watch with only his sweatpants on and no shirt.
His eyes crinkled up as he sensed your presence. “There she is…”
You didn’t feel like you deserved his acknowledgment, let alone his affection, especially the way you’ve neglected him for your work the past few days.
He didn’t expect you to say anything back but he felt the weight of your solemn expression, “¿Estás bien?
You shake your head mutely in response, guilt washing over you. He stepped closer, closing the distance with a gentle stride. “Talk to me, what’s wrong?”
Your mouth was dry from the lack of fluids you’ve been avoiding, making your voice slightly hoarse “I’m sorry, I’ve been pushing you away.”
He lowered himself and held your chin with his thumb to tilt your head up so you would look at him. The gesture made your heart ache.
“Is that why you’re upset? You know I’m not going anywhere. I’ll always come back to you mi alma,” he murmured.
Even if he did lower himself to be level with you, he still felt bigger. It made you feel protected, the way he towered over you with his large frame.
The holographic lamp illuminated the room, casting a gentle glow. With its subtle lighting you could see the crimson gleam from Miguel’s eyes, which melted the weight of your stress from the past few days and the newfound guilt.
You were glad the main light wasn’t on to flood the room with its sickening bright glow that would scream at you — your eyes needed a rest from the screen and the absence of flood lights gave that comfort you needed.
He leaned in to kiss you and you tiptoed to deepen the kiss. It felt refreshing, feeling his lips again— almost like an anchor that kept you grounded.
You wrapped your arms around his neck while he wrapped his around your waist. His tongue teased your lips before slipping in, tasting you and you let him take his fill of you before pulling away.
“Miguel…” you breathed, hesitant to break the peace in the room.
“How about we shift our focus on a different kind of study.” He suggested. There was a lighthearted undertone in his sentence that you tried to articulate.
You cocked your brow inquisitively until you remembered Miguel’s background in the science field. “Study? As in science?”
“Science is such a broad term. Let’s start with biology and anatomy,”
You heart stuttered in both anticipation and excitement along with your core already throbbing. You could already sense where this was going as soon as you heard anatomy. The atmosphere felt charged guided by the intimate spirit of Miguel’s proposal.
He lifted you up before gently placing you on the bed.
Being a skilled geneticist, Miguel seized every opportunity to share random biology facts, particularly in the most unexpected moments with you.
It was one of the many things you found attractive about him, especially seeing him being so engrossed in explaining things to you in a way you would understand. It made the complexities of biology feel like an intimate and shared journey.
But you’ve never seen him act like this before sex. Perhaps he was trying something new to keep the spark alive.
“How about we remove your clothes.” His hands hiked up beneath your shirt as he spoke.
“Is this part of the biology teaching?” You asked.
“Let’s just say it’s part of the more practical application.” He removed your shirt and your pants, leaving you in your panties and bra. “And you’re the specimen.”
You were amused with where this was going, seeing Miguel’s professional act starting to surface. A scientist eager to teach (and please).
You felt him run his hand over your neck. Spots of goosebumps rose on your skin from the cool air in the room.
“Your skin is so soft…” He murmured into your sensitive skin, making you shiver.
Another advantage of being married to a geneticist was that Miguel knew all the sensitive areas on the body and what made you tick. Even before you did anything together, he was aware of all the areas that could arouse a woman.
His lips grazed over your collarbone, trailing down to where it meets the shoulders.
“The collarbone is connected to your shoulders by the supraclavicular ligament,” he explained softly. He kissed the soft skin around the area.
“Suprac—clavic—ular ligament—” Each syllable accelerated in pitch as you tried to repeat after him.
His hand reached behind your back to unclip your bra before slipping them off, one strap at a time.
Your breasts were now fully exposed and he reached over and cupped one with his large hands.
“The breasts are a collection of organs that play an important role in the reproduction of human females, amor. They are key to producing milk,” He kissed along your chest until he reached the valley between the two breasts.
“They also serve to attract a sexual partner…which seems to be working on us.”
You didn’t expect him to lick the skin where his lips hovered over between your breasts. You shuddered in shock until he pulled away to look up at you again.
“They’re also erogenous zones, making them more sensitive to simulations. Would you like me to demonstrate?” You nodded in response.
You managed to catch the corner of his lips curve up in amusement, even if he made a concerted effort to conceal how turned on he was right now.
He wore the familiar analytical veneer he always carried when he was working in the lab, except this time you could see his excitement babbling beneath the surface.
He dipped his head until his mouth latched onto one of your breasts. Despite knowing this was going to happen, you couldn’t help the surprise whimper that slipped from your mouth.
His tongue lapped over your hardened nipple while his other hand still fondled with your other breast. You groaned out from his touches, running one of your hands over the locks of his hair.
It was flattering, seeing Miguel soaking in everything from you, even when you felt like you had little to offer. Miguel seemed to never get enough of you and to this day, your heart still leaped out of you chest with him around.
He released your nipples and you were met with hooded crimson eyes, dazed and awestrucked. You couldn’t stop your shoulders from bunching together in shyness at him.
He moneuvered you so you were laying your back on the bed. Two broad arms rested besides you on the bed with his abs displayed over you.
“Between the legs are the female reproductive system, we’ll be focusing on the labia minora and the labia majora for this lesson,”
He pulled your panties down, revealing your wetness between your thighs.
A sudden rush of cold air brushed against your folds, making you more wet and exposed. His hand reached over, extending out of your line of sight until his fingers were lightly stroking around the delicate flesh.
“The labia minora is a set of two fleshy folds that form around the inner portion of the labia majora. They are positioned around the vaginal opening to protect the urethra and…”
You gasped when you felt one of his fingers slip into your slick cunt before slowly moving in and out of you.
“…and the vagina.”
His sentence was finished off with the soft sounds of your slick from his fingers along with your breathy moans. Your walls fluttered around his finger while he slipped in another digit in, prompting you to grip onto the sheets tightly.
He moved to your ear and spoke in a lowered tone, his breath brushing against your earlobe. “Do you remember which hormones are released when a person is aroused?”
He rubbed his thumb over your swollen clit while watching you fall apart from his touches. You couldn’t fully process the question in your head, let alone form a coherent response.
“God— Miguel-!” You babbled out.
“Come on amor, I know you know the answer,” he coaxed, having the audacity to continue teasing your cunt with his fingers.
He was going to keep teasing until he got an answer from you. You wouldn’t be surprised if he refused to let you come too until you responded to him with the right answer.
“O-oxytocin and…hm-m…serotonin?” Your words came staggered and breathless. You were fighting the urge to rock your hips further to ride on his finger but you knew better not to push your luck. This was for science after all.
“Such a smart wife. Are you feeling it, amor? The euphoric feeling and the release of the hormones throughout your body?” Miguel was still near your ear as he asked.
You were so drawn into bliss, you almost forgot about the whole biology lesson and the practical demonstration.
You could tell that watching how responsive you were to his touches excited him, especially if it included him talking about what he knew best.
He withdrew his his hands away and curved his finger so none of your slick slipped away. He spread his fingers apart, watching the string of your fluids clinging onto the pads of his fingers.
You felt your face heat up in astonishment, you’ve never seen yourself leak that much before.
You weren’t surprised to see him stick his fingers in his mouth to clean himself up. He ate you out before so this was nothing new to him.
Once he was satisfied, he manoeuvred himself to remove his pants along with his boxers, freeing his aching cock. Despite the low lighting, you could still see it throbbing and the veins lining on the skin.
You sat up enough so you could reach to his cock. You wrapped your hand around his length, earning a low groan from him. “Since we covered the female, do you wanna walk me through the male anatomy now?”
You swiped your thumb over the tip where his pre-cum was leaking from. You were purposefully tormenting him now.
“You’re unbelievable,” he grunted, but you could clearly see he couldn’t stop the grin tugging on his lips.
“Come on Mig, do it for biology,”
You started stroking his length, making sure you touched every part of his skin from the base to the tip.
His breathing became shallow with low whimpers stringing out but he tried to compose himself before he spoke.
“The penis and the testicles both….have a lot of blood flow to them but— hmm.. the main purpose of the testicles is to produce testosterone and—” He couldn’t help the low moan that came out when he felt you increase your pace, but he was still determined to finish.
“Go on…” you prodded.
“…produce testosterone and sperm cells…dios— the penis….the penis is the biggest part of the male anatomy. It allows urination, ejaculation or urine and semen, shit! It also helps the male with erection-!” He finished off the last sentence in one shaky breath. Your hand came to a halt around his tip.
“Thanks for the clarification…” You released his dick swiftly, satisfied by his explanation.
After catching his breath and recomposing himself, Miguel positioned himself so his dick was near your opening. His tip nuzzled against your folds with you silky walls clenching desperately onto nothingness.
You were ready for him, even your clit was throbbing in anticipation, and there was nothing you wanted more than to have him inside you right now.
“Now that we’ve completed the preliminary, I think we should come to the conclusion,” he said.
You couldn’t help the breathy giggles from your lips. He was really immersing himself in the role, playing the part of a tutor with dedication and charm.
He pushed himself inside of you. You haven’t done anything in a while so you had to allow yourself to readjust to his length again.
You fleshy walls struggled to open up but eventually you did accomodate to his size, feeling the familiarity of him.
Once he was all the way in, he came to a halt. Feeling yourself stretch out for him was dizzying. But sudden realisation hit you.
“Miguel, I might be on my fertility window…” you interjected, a tinge of nervousness in your voice.
While you and Miguel have discussed growing a family together in the past, the timing never felt right, and you weren’t ready for the responsibility of motherhood yet.
You’ve been taking birth control pills for your peace of mind. However, with the onset of your work project, you’ve stopped taking the pills and your body was still adjusting to the withdrawal— including your accelerated libido.
Miguel’s face didn’t falter but you could practically see the gears turning in his head from your statement. Everything felt more apparent, especially now with his dick buried inside of you.
“What are you trying to tell me, amor?” You could feel his cock twitching in anticipation inside of you and touching your cervix, almost making you lose your bearing.
“I’m off the pills Miguel. So there’s a chance that I might get knocked up after this…but it is part of biology, right?”
You ran your hands over his broad chest and he closed his eyes, leaning into your touch before resting his forehead on yours.
“You wanna be a mami?” He asked, assuring full clarity and consent from you.
Miguel, a devoted lover, would do anything to make you happy and would give you a family if that’s what you wished for. You nodded and that’s when you knew, he was ready for fatherhood too.
Your hands now wrapped around his naps, fingers lacing together. His gaze dropping to where you bodies joined.
He dragged himself out, feeling the suction from your walls, before snapping his hips back in again. The friction against your walls forced a whine out of you.
He began rolling his hips repeatedly against you in a steady rhythm, each slap ending in a jolt of overwhelming ecstasy. Your fingers were losing their grip around his neck and your hands slipped, with your nails now pressing onto his back.
Your mind and senses started to evaporate and all you could think of right now was chasing your high and Miguel filling you up with his cum, staining you and finally getting you pregnant.
You wanted to feel him for weeks, feel how much he stretched you and filled you. Your nails were digging further into his back as he thrusted deeper into you, hitting your cervix with each snap of his hips.
“Gimme a baby, Mig.” You moaned out, the mere throughly of him breeding you drove you insane. You needed his fill, you needed him to knock you up.
“Sí amor, I’ll give you as many babies as you want,”
His thrusts became more sporadic and you sensed he was lost in a haze too. A few strands of his hair stuck to the moisture that developed on his forehead. You were sinking further into the sheets, taking in everything he was giving you.
The room filled with the bed creaking in protest and the slap of his hips into yours. Soon, his pace became sloppy and uneven.
You watched the familiar trence of your husband’s climax unfold. You always felt a sense of pride knowing that only you could see him so scattered outside the composed and stoic demeanor that everyone else was used to.
His brows furrowed in full concentration and his words came out messy and slurred along with strings of your name.
He finished off with his cum pulsating inside of you in thick loads. He didn’t pull his his hips back until both balls were drenched into you. You felt your walls clenched from the withdrawal as he pulled out.
Immediately, Miguel grabbed one of the pillows and positioned it beneath you, elevating your rear.
“Keep it in there,” he instructed. He didn’t want any of his cum to go to waste and leak out.
He starts to massage your thighs to sooth any aches you were feeling. You mind drifted back to the birth control pill that you still kept in the cabinet. There was still another box left, yet you knew that you weren’t planning to take them anymore.
You mentally reminded yourself to dispose them in the morning. You looked up at Miguel again, who was still massaging your thighs.
You sighed. “You know there’s a chance I might not get pregnant the first time…”
In that moment, vulnerability wrapped around your words which connected the both of you in shared acknowledgment.
You let your mind wandered about finally getting pregnant, with Miguel praising you and kissing your swollen belly. You imagined all the appointments you’d have to attend to, leading up to the day of your baby’s arrival.
“So, does that mean we’ll be having more biology classes?” Miguel stopped massaging and spread you legs again to display your slick core.
“I think so…how about another round?”
He leaned into kiss your forehead. “I’m down if you are.”
