I haven't had any fictional characters show up in my dreams for awhile but the other night I dreamed I accidentally left my teenage brother at a city library and he wouldn't answer his phone so I was freaking out trying to to get back to him by bus and when I made it back it turned out he was just chilling with AJ in the closed library
#pickle pontificates#nothing else in that dream had anything to do with mission to zyxx#i invented two eccentric library ladies (one of them moonlit in illegal activities and the other moonlit as a bus driver)#and I also shoved a deaf girl to the ground (on purpose but I didn't know she was deaf at the time)#and then boom. thought i lost my brother but he was getting babysat by a knockoff clone trooper from podcasts#he was like. still in full armor showing my brother his gun or something. idk how he got there or why he picked my brother up like a stray#mission to zyxx#???#do i even tag that. it was the punchline to an overly long and convoluted dream more than anything else

honestly, i was so angry about how they handled everything regarding taylor kelly my beloved.
the show is full of copaganda and loves to ignore everything bad re police and athena. but since the very first time they introduced taylor in s2, they acted as if reporters and journalists are evil for simply standing by the truth and giving citizens correct information? taylor wanted to report that the 118 firefighters were dumb enough to eat something that a stranger baked for them and thus were high while on the clock. as a citizen of LA, i would be very invested in knowing if the people who are supposed to save me are drugged?? the show framed it as if the reputation of the 118 is more important that the safety of the LA citizens. what is it was a surgeon who got high and then went to operate on a patient????? what then?
athena herself told them that the police always throws away baked goods which they receive from people. they know about potential risks, meaning that the 118 station was showcasing a big case of naivety by eating those pot brownies. and still, taylor was framed some sort of devil for actually doing her job as she was supposed to lmao. it irked me that it was only pure plot convenience/plot armor that protected the others from real repercussions, too. nothing Bad™ or Serious™ happened during their calls that day, just so the audience can (a) giggle and (b) wave off any realistic concerns about drugged firefighters and (c) blindly accept the weird ass "journalism is bad" rhetoric. however, imagine if they actually lost lives that day because they were all too high to do their work properly. what then, huh? what then @ 911 writers? bobby and the others would have had to answer to the police in such a case, potentially facing real consequences, losing their jobs, etc.
the fact that they continued to frame taylor and journalism as bad just… really put me off. is that the hill that 911 wants to die on lol? as taylor said, what she thinks is most valuable is the truth (she practiced that principle with buck as well when she appreciated his honesty about him cheating and "trapping her" in the apartment). even if the truth can hurt, it's better than living a lie or never fully knowing what is or isn't true – she of all people knows that painfully well. this is why i haaated it when buck ended up breaking up with her because he could not accept that she will never stop fighting for the truth… that's such a major L imo.
she said she wanted to help others and keep them safe, and to her personally, knowing all the hard facts is helpful. and she is right!! having all the necessary information allows people to make decisions and stay safe – Covid and other diseases? natural disasters? traffic reports? muderer with a gun on the loose? we have newspapers and radios and tv news for a damn reason! to make things worse, buck lived in the shadow of his dead brother, and he suffered all his life because he did not know the truth about daniel, and his parents, and why they are how they are!! their (buck's and taylor's) approach to help others may be different, yes, but i think that was so compelling about them ngl. we know that buck is curious and enjoys playing detective (with taylor and in general), we know that he's been lied to all his life and suffered for it, we know he felt very guilty that he did not know that doug abused maddie (another big secret), we know buck is about not-pretending and being honest. in many ways, no matter if romantic or platonic, i think they had a very interesting foundation based on their respective background stories. that is why making taylor look like the bad person because she chose her integrity as a journalist and decided to share facts with the public leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. the citizens of LA that heard the news from her were probably very glad to be informed about some dangerous guy who killed people?! killing journalism only ever benefits people in powerful positions who try to hide shit just to look better or to avoid reasonable discourse in the public eye...
idk. sorry this got so long lmao! feel free to ignore, i just felt like ranting and your post about taylor inspired me. i love taylor kelly, and i love journalists who oftentimes risk their lives when they reveal and speak up against wrongdoings of powerful people. if buck cannot appreciate taylor kelly, i will ♥

I agree with you a lot!!! Although i dont think the show depics taylor or journalism as bad. I think it just depicts that Buck dislikes it. While I agree with everything you said, i also think that there is inherently a conflict of interests. Bucks’s job to is make people are safe first, and then have people deal with the emergency before deciding how they would want it to be made public. That’s 100% fair and valid. Taylor’s job is the opposite. Which is also fair and valid. I dont think the show portrays them (journalists) as bad. Just inconvenient and kinda annoying when they get in the way of them working (which happens irl!! And is a valid sentiment!!). I also agree things could have been worst if the 118 had been called to something more dangerous when they were high, but i dont think taylor was the bad guy. It was just portrayed that it wasn’t something that buck was looking for in terms of relationships. Which is fair!!! He wanted privacy and she can’t afford to give him privacy on all his stories when his job involves the public. He is not a bad guy for wanting that to be handled internally, and she is not a bad guy for wanting to expose such error. (And hey, the department did deal with that, asked them questions, and eventually found the person in charge. And since the beginning of their trip they were recognized and even handcuffed so they couldn’t hurt anyone, they did not actually get involved with emergencies when they were drugged. They were stopped).
My issue was not how the writing overall did taylor or their relationship. I think it was the ending I didn’t like. If Taylor, like when the drugs story happened, had stood her ground and THEN buck had broken up, i would have been completely fine with it. They were never gonna work, she was sure on who she was in regards to what is public information, and Buck realized that didn’t work for what he was looking for in someone. I think thats fine. He needs someone to understand sometimes the stories in his life need to be digested before talked about, and dating a journalist was not it. Both had a point and both deserved to go, and like a previous anon said, he needed to be the one to let go first for his arc. All fair. What pissed me off was that she was WILLING to change (which she didn’t have to) and willing to set new boundaries to appease him. And he still walked away. Which makes it go from “we dont work together and buck made the first step to let go” to “she loves him and is willing to keep changing herself to make it work whereas he has had a foot out the door since the beginning”. Their last fight was my issue. Because making her stand down just to be let go regardless felt very shitty to me. Just overall a shitty ending to her, where the ending could have given her more grace by making her not back down.
Listen i do love 911. All shows like this are copaganda, however i think is arguably to say not so much here. 911 is about firefighters and emergency responders first and foremost. A firefighter is NOT the same as a cop. Actually, multiple characters (like Buck) dont really like cops lmao. And they have showed multiple dirty cops. The show has made sure to note how is not one bad cop, but how the system is failed (like athena knowing those who almost shot her family were barely gonna be punished). The only time i have thought the copaganda was a little too much was the storyline of finding Emmett’s killer (because the guy arguably did more for the people than a cop ever could, and he wasn’t a danger to society anymore. Athena knew that, putting that guy in jail was purely for revenge which is icky. And he helped kids in need). The rest i think is fair to say that most of the time we don’t deal with cops in the show lmao Athena is usually there to help in the emergencies too. Let me be clear when i say there is levels of copaganda, but is not what the show is overall. Firefighters surely do deserve the love. And hey! I think is nuanced and well that the one cop on the show is a black woman (the community most negatively affected by cops) who became one BECAUSE cops didn’t do right by her people (like ignoring a black girl who disappeared when she was a child). The answer maybe is not to join the corrupted system, but multiple people have the mindset of “join them to change the system from within”. So its interesting that the only cop pov we have comes from that, not a blindly romanticization of cops. And i also give kudos that they never “corrected” May disliking cops. They said “she has many valid points” and respected it. Let’s give a little more credit to the show here on that front!!!!
I have made so many posts now but i really dont hate the writers for what they did with taylor, just how they ended it. Most of my posts have been me annoyed by the audience response to her character too more than the show itself lmao. Overall i did agree taylor and buck had to break up. I just hated how it happened bc it was disrespectful to what her character had been until then.
#911 fox#911 show#taylor kelly#evan buck buckely#not gonna tag athena bc ik it was not the main point here even if i talked about her

the 100 diaries S3 E5
quarantine diaries: July 5 2020
Season 3 episode 5: “Hakeldama
ok but what are these sad excuses of hoods like theyre really just pieces of cloth that you can barely call a hood
“we bring them peace” immediately cut to bloody bellamy coming back from battle with dramatic music. was i meant to laugh at that because if so i did
“this land is ours now”...umm this sounds a lot like colonization
woah that a loooot of extras. clarkes face was kinda smiling like a dubious smile tho
but also that battlefield full of dead grounders just looked like a bunch of people planking
they attacked while they were asleep?! bitch that sounds a lot of like some police offices in the US...justice for breonna
ofc indra is alive. she has plot armor and thank god for that cuz we need more badass female characters like indra
“we can leave or we can die” isnt this exactly what lexa told jaha and the rest of the space people? i bet lexa wished that she killed these people when she had the chance and before she caught feelings for clarke. big oof on her part
also can we talk about how that was a lot of bullets needed to kill those people. my question is where the fuck did they get that bullets/ammunition bc like they dont have a gun factory now. it also just doesnt seem wise imo to use their limited supplies willy nilly like that
pike handing bellamy jacket....pike said to bellamy wear something pretty. do i ship it? i mean fuck it might as well because idk
bellamy with those crazy eyes. i cant. he said you need to wake up kane bitch im already woke
lincoln coming in with that menace face. thats some intense eye contact going on between bellamy and lincoln. honestly more chemisty between bellamy and lincoln than lincoln and octavia. like do the writers not actually watch the show?!
also is octavia ever going to address that lincoln chained her up. like she got over that too fast. also can we talk about how lincoln went from saying one word to just freely talking. like looking back to when the 100 first got him and him not talking was ugh like its so dumb
*after seeing the arkadia sign* “I didnt see that coming” lmao jaha did not like the name change
did that guy just shoot otan? and otan dies so easily? also why must people automatically shoot to kill bc when there are obviously other ways to deescalate the situation without killing another human
sidenote: why wasnt jaha holding the bag in the first place cuz i think that would have prevented otan being shot and killed in the first place
ugh im still annoyed that abby is one of the 2 healers like they should really teach more people to be healers
murphy and emori be bonnie and clyde for real
jaha looks like a school boy with that backpack but also jaha you need to work on your salesmen skills if you want to sell these people on the city of light cuz rn you sound like a crazy man. like even after your little spiel i still have no fucking clue what the city of light actually is
Wow pike really did go from teacher to chancellor but i mean stranger things have happened in the U.S. you know what pike spontaneously being put on the chancellor ballet is kinda like Kanye West announcing that he’s running for president 2020
so the spacers really just killed those people and left their bodies right near where they live thats gotta stink
oof emori wanted to go after her brother only to find out that otan is dead...yikes
“They’re being interned” pike i dont think this is okay
you get that bitch lincoln but where was the signature headbutt?? but i guess this guy wasnt even worth it
what the fuck pike literally pointing a gun at a sick girl’s head. and also if youre going to threaten a girl let it be know instead of relying on abby to make others realize what youre doing
are they really fucking going to rope raven into his boring ass city of light storyline. bitch why?? but i guess the writers have no other options for her story
sidenote: ravens iconic red jacket is in a desperate need of a wash
octavia reuniting bellamy and clarke. bellamy had a shook face. wow octavia is the true bellarke shipper
Yes bellamy you tell off clarke!
clarke said “I need you” the bellarke shippers must have been quaking!! and ooo bellamy said “you left me” aww bellamy :(
GOOO OFFFFF BELLAMY!!!! damn it Bellamy. stop it, stop consoling her right now. but oh that hand holding really must have been good for bellarke shippers but oop he tricked clarke. ngl i laughed
woah raven really just dramatically pushed some shit off the table and fucking jaha without saying a word and just placed that plastic city of light shit on the table and did a table tap for idk dramatic effect idk i just laughed at this
Ok but if raven is really going down this city of lights story I FUCKING PRAY THAT FINN somehow shows up in the city of lights just for shits and giggles
Clarke turned on bellamy fast but really bellamy went down too easy
stop the hugging clarke and abby. lol abby remember when you were mad at clarke about the bombing but i guess when you mass murder a bunch a people makes everything chill now
what the heck john murphy? why must you put that blood on your face? did you learn that from lincoln?
seriously emori youre waiting on murphy fucking murphy before you see out your brother. i guess water is thicker than blood to her
i love how automatically john murpy assumes the position of dead guy
really murphy saying “go float yourself” to grounders means nothing to them
lol this little ploy really backfired on murphy and emori. but good on murphy for not giving away emori maybe true love does exist
wow look at miller being an ally. i love it
blood must not have blood....ugh the writers really thought they were deep for that
what is this music choice with raven struggling to walk? but also like honestly raven you really could have it worse so chill
really raven you gave in that quick?? finn better being up there like jesus arms open. but also how did she swallow that huge ass piece of plastic without water to wash it down??
that plastic pill really worked that fast?! and lol they had the music pick up the beat to match the moment
fuck its annoying ass red lady you know im kinda thinking that this red lady is a just a lesser version of the red lady in game of thrones.
wait so if she swallowed it does she poop it out and she just has to keep taking the pill or how does this work??

Drabble Challenge! 12. “She’s hiding behind the sofa.” or 49. “Safety first. What are you? FIVE?
A/N: Hi! Sorry this took so long, but this, well, got long. I hope you enjoy Loki and Clint! And I feel like you were expecting something fluffy (I picked 12) but that… is not quite what you got. Whoops.
Warnings: Uh idk there’s some blood, a couple minor Endgame spoilers
Characters: Loki, Clint, the non-superhero kiddos
Word count: 1,944
———
Loki stretched out on the couch at the newly rebuilt compound, reading. Most of the others were in the main recreation area celebrating its completion, but he had decided to make his exit and search out some peaceful solitude. It was still best not to overstay his welcome at such events, particularly when Barton had brought his children and was shooting looks at Loki if he got too near.
“Loki.”
Speak of the devil. “Barton,” he greeted, not looking up from his book.
The retired archer stopped, crossing his arms. “You seen Lila? The kids ran off to play and I can’t find them.”
“I haven’t. Could you not just ask Friday?”
“Eh, finding them means going home to take care of a bunch of stinky animals. I’m not in a hurry.”
Loki huffed in vague amusement, and Barton headed for the exit to continue searching.
The boom of a not-so-distant explosion froze him in his tracks, the building shaking around them with an ominous rumble. Loki looked up, slowly lowering his book. “Please tell me that was a scheduled weapons test,” he said slowly.
“Only if Tony’s showing off again,” Barton said, looking in the direction of the armory. He took a single step towards it.
The next explosion tore through the wall behind Loki, the shockwave blasting him forward. He crashed through the opposite wall to roll to a halt in the next room over, debris crashing down around him. He pushed himself up on one elbow and squinted through it, coughing in the dust. “Barton?”
“Here,” he groaned from across the room. He was against the wall, a slab of ceiling leaning above him and protecting him from the worst of it. “Friday? What’s happening?”
Only static answered him.
As it died down, they pushed themselves to their feet. At that precise moment, something shot through the ruined wall. It latched onto Loki’s chest and came alive with electricity. He collapsed, writhing as it coursed through his veins.
Distantly, he heard the sounds of fighting, but he couldn’t focus on that. Gritting his teeth, he forced his arm to work. With agonizing slowness, he dragged his hand up to his chest and struggled to latch spasming fingers around the device. Finally, he had enough of a grip on it to tear it off.
He fell limp with a gasp. The device slipped from his grip and clattered to the floor. The fighting noises reached him again, suddenly not so distant. Looking around, he saw Barton fighting off three humans in full tactical gear. They had yet to notice Loki was free to move again.
Biting his lip to hold back a groan, he half pushed, half hauled himself up onto shaky legs. He reached them in a few stumbling steps. Grabbing the nearest man, he tore off his helmet with one hand, and with the other conjured a dagger to slice his throat. He shoved the body away and slammed an elbow into a second enemy’s face, giving Barton the leeway he needed to snap the third man’s neck, steal his handgun, and shoot the second man in the neck.
“Thanks,” Barton gasped, gingerly touching a rapidly darkening bruise on his jaw. “You good?”
“Define good,” Loki muttered, rubbing his aching chest.
“Fair enough. Go find your brother.”
He started to leave, but Loki caught his arm. “Where are you going?”
He jerked away. “To find my kids.”
“I’m coming with you.”
“The hell you are.”
“You’re not going alone,” Loki said firmly.
“Why, cause you suddenly care about me?”
“Because if I let you keep going without backup and you get killed, your wife would kill me. As would Natasha.”
“Fine,” Barton said through gritted teeth. “Come on.”
He took off at a run, leaping over chunks of debris with practiced ease. Loki huffed and followed. They heard blasters and gunfire outside, feeling the effects inside as more tremors shook the building, but they ignored the battle that was clearly raging. They just kept running, Clint shouting his children’s names, fighting off the occasional group of enemies as they headed deeper into the compound.
They reached an undamaged part of the compound, and that was when they heard the voices. They stopped short, creeping up to peer through an open doorway.
It was one of the larger living rooms. Inside were two men wielding assault rifles pacing slowly along. “Come out, come out little girl,” one taunted. “Where are you?”
Barton tensed, his grip on his stolen handgun tightening.
The other man stepped around one end of the large sectional couch and chuckled darkly. “Found her. She’s hiding behind the couch.” He brought up his gun to point at something Loki couldn’t see. “Stark’ll pay a pretty penny for you, I bet.”
Barton ran inside with a roar.
Immediately, more of the enemies flooded the hallway around Loki, a sea of men armed to the teeth.
It was a trap.
Loki tore the handle off the door, dove into the room, slammed it shut behind him, dragged a chair over with a burst of telekinesis, and wedged it under the inside door handle. The men outside banged against the door, but it would take them at least a little time to get through. In the meantime, he could help Barton and they could run.
Movement distracted him.
Behind the side of the sectional the man hadn’t been standing, there was Lila. Beside her were Cooper, Nate, Morgan, and Cassie. All staring at him for help.
A trap with a kernel of truth, evidently. That’s unfortunate.
He looked at Barton and his opponents. They didn’t seem to have spotted him, and Barton was holding his own. Loki flicked out his hand, sending a ripple of magic over the kids; they remained visible to him and each other, but no one else. “Come with me,” he whispered, backing up to the wall opposite the door shaking from the others’ attempts to break through.
Carefully, the kids obeyed, Lila, Cassie, and Cooper sheltering the younger two in their midst. Loki glanced out the window, wondering if that was a more viable option, but they were two stories up and the fall would plunge them into the battle. A battle that seemed to be dying down, but still not a place to send unarmed children. So he turned to the wall, flexing his fist in preparation.
Putting all his strength into the blow, he punched the wall.
His fist sailed through, tearing open a sizable hole, but not big enough even for Morgan to crawl through. The crash caught Barton and his opponents’ attention. Simultaneously, the door finally caved in.
“What are you doing?” Barton demanded.
“Distract them!” Loki snapped.
Barton grumbled something but snatched up an assault rifle and started firing. Loki kicked the wall, creating a second hole, and grabbed the remaining structure between the two and tore it free. Hardly perfect, but even the teens could wriggle through it. He peeked through, making sure the room beyond was clear, then picked up Morgan and put her through. Lila followed, then she turned to help Nate.
Then the men were on him. He lashed out, punching one in the chest and sending him screaming out the window. Bullets bounced off him, painful without armor but ultimately not a pressing concern. Aware that the children behind him were not quite as bulletproof, he planted himself in place and limited himself to punches and flying daggers.
Unfortunately, they noticed.
“What’s he guarding?”
“What’s through that hole?”
“Take him out! Any means necessary!”
“Loki, grenade!” Barton yelled.
They took that order quite literally.
All Loki had time to do was block the escape hole with his body.
For the second time, the explosion blasted him through the wall. It wasn’t as brutal as the first, but given his other injuries, he landed in a heap of pain. The world spun sickeningly around him, his head throbbing from a new wound dripping blood down the side of his face. He clenched his eyes shut, digging his fingers into the floor, searching for some semblance of steadiness.
“Found the kids!”
“Loki!” Lila screamed.
Loki forced his eyes back open. Just in time for someone to grab him by the shoulders and throw him out the window.
His hand shot out, grabbing the bottom of the frame just in time to keep him from plummeting. He gritted his teeth, ignoring the glass cutting into his palms, and dragged himself back into the room. A massive man stepped into Loki’s path, one thick leg blocking the kids from his view. From his position on all fours, Loki peered up at him. “Is that all you’ve got?”
The man sneered and kicked him in the chin. His head snapped back and he let himself collapse, rolling onto his back. He tried to stomp on Loki, but he caught his foot. In one quick motion, he flung him out the window. “Cocky soldiers,” he grumbled.
He pushed himself to his feet. Of the men that had attacked, only three remained, all standing between Loki and the kids, and Barton was nowhere to be seen. “Gentlemen. Care to surrender?”
They unsheathed daggers.
Figured out the blunt force trauma doesn’t work, eh? Fair enough. Four can play at this game.
Loki flicked out his hands, summoning his own daggers. “Leave the children alone.”
With a battle cry, they charged at him.
Loki hurled one of his daggers, and with a magical nudge to keep it flying straight, it sank into the throat of the middle man. He conjured another just in time to block simultaneous blows from either side, one high and one low. He kicked the crotch of the one who had gone high, then spun to stab the hand of the one who had gone low. While they cried out in pain, he grabbed them and flung them out the window to join their comrade.
Finally, he was alone with the kids. He limped over to them, kneeling to their level to check them over. “Are you all right?” he asked, panting.
Lila nodded, clutching her youngest brother close, her eyes wide. “Yeah. Thanks.”
They were dusty, their faces and hands scraped up, their clothes a little torn, and quite clearly terrified – though Cassie might be enjoying this a bit – but he was inclined to believe her. “Good.”
From the next room over, he heard a slight scuffling. “Pardon me.”
He limped over to find Barton pinned beneath one last man, struggling to pry his throat free of the enemy’s grip. Finding a fist-sized chunk of debris, Loki picked it up and smashed it into the man’s head. He crumpled instantly, leaving Barton gasping. Loki pushed his body off the archer and offered his hand.
Barton took it and stood. “The kids?” he rasped.
Loki gestured at the other room, and Barton was gone in a heartbeat. Loki stumbled after him, sinking to the floor by a remnant of wall tall enough to lean back on. After a few moments of reuniting with his kids, Barton looked up at him. “Thank you.”
Loki waved him off with a heavy hand, letting his head fall back and his eyes drift shut. “Whatever you think of me, Barton, I won’t let children suffer.”
“Hey!” In a moment, Barton was crouching beside him, patting his cheek briskly. “Don’t pass out.”
Loki cracked his eyes open. “Don’t tell me you care.”
Barton sighed. “You risked your life to protect my kids even after I told you not to. Maybe… maybe you’re not so bad after all.”
Loki smirked. “Took you long enough, Clint.”
“Oh, shut up.”

RvB17 Episode 7 Review: Limbo
Time travel sucks. That's all I've got for an intro, it sucks. It's confusing and makes my brain hurt and... let's just get into this before I give myself a migraine.
Overview
We start where we left off, Huggins in what we can now confirm is the heart of a Black Hole. But she's not alone. Remember in S16 when Huggins mentioned that her parents were killed by a Black Hole? Well... they're alive! And named Gerald and Cheryl. So how are they and Huggins alive? Simple, they are light. Light is information, and you can't destroy information. They also ask where Huggins brother is, who as it turns out is Muggins. Weird that he only called her a friend last season, but hey I'll go with it. But the parents are confused as the rest of the universe should be there, and the only thing that could prevent that is some kind of time blockage. A paradox, if you will. Huggins realizes what this means and is told by her parents to go at light-speed to reach where she needs to be.
Back in Season 5, Sister is talking to Doc about how to deal with Tucker. Essentially, she plans on fucking with him for as long as possible. Doc is not happy about this since Tucker is still recovering... and the fact that it sounds outright nuts. Back with the others, well... we still have the whole 'Donut betrayed everyone' thing to deal with. Sarge wants to outright execute him for it. Wash points out that Donut tried to fix all of it, but it does little to help with Grif pretty coldly pointing out that Donut stole The Hammer. Of course, none of them know that Donut tried to use it himself, but they aren't really giving him the chance to explain either, so... oh and Caboose figured out how to Time Travel on his own, so he's gone at this point.
Tucker wakes up, and Sister proceeds to fuck with him in several ways while Doc just goes 'fuck this' and leaves. Back with Huggins, she arrives at Blood Gulch and is surprised by how shitty it looks. But no one is there as this was before the Reds and Blues were sent there, so she goes forward some more until she sees Caboose. At first, she thinks that he doesn't know what she means when she asks about the paradox... until Caboose explains that they did it to save Wash and how she got angry at Grif before flying off. So Huggins explains that essentially black holes make time loop, like a circle... just go with it people. Like me, Huggins is overwhelmed before asking Caboose if they can talk.
Back with the others, Tucker seems to have bought Sister's story and says goodbye to Doc. He goes to apologize to Donut for making fun of him and at this point utterly agitated by everyone, Donut does the 'how do you know x if you never met x' spiel to snap Tucker back to normal. What is surprising though is that this also snaps Doc back to normal, so we can confirm that he isn't dead. He does remember the S16 finale fight, and about how awesome it was. And it is listening to Doc recount those events that cause Donut to do what we have been waiting for him to do for so long now: tell everyone off.
Donut goes and finally, finally tells off everyone for how horribly that they have treated him. Sidelining him, belittling him, left him for dead, etc. And he doesn't hold back even a little. No innuendos. He fully curses, even dropping the F-bomb. He outright tells Carolina to shut up when she apologizes for breaking the universe. Yes, just told Carolina to shut up. Nd the best part? He calls his armor color pink when he mentions them making fun of him about it. Yes, no lightish-red people. He outright said pink, and he is owning it. And now, here we are after Donut died, tried to reunite with his friends, was the only one who gave a damn about saving time while everyone else fucked around, and then after his mistakes went out of his way to fix them, and what does he get? Sarge trying to suggest killing him with Shelia.
With all of that now said, Donut says that once he's explained how to time travel so that they can deal with Genkins, he's done. Everyone is left speechless and in shock, as Donut walks off. Wash tells them to go after him and to apologize immediately, which while they mumble about it, they all go off and do right away. Well... Sarge asks if they really can time travel first before Wash sends him on his way too. Hot damn, now that is how you end an episode.
Review
Okay.. so... I liked the episode, but God it's confused me so much. Let's get that part out of the way first.
Huggins being alive? Yeah, we all knew that at this point and her being made of light/information makes sense. I think most of us expected her parents to be alive after the last episode. They're... okay. You can see where Huggins gets her quirks form, but I think it's pretty clear that they've gone insane from being in the Black Hole for so long. They're mainly here for Huggins to find out how to go through time, which tbf Huggins did speculate about that in Episode 7 when debating her options on getting out of the 6th Century, so okay nice subtle foreshadowing. Muggins being Huggins brother, again, had little to no foreshadowing and comes off as weird since Muggins never referred to her as such, not even in his eulogy when he assumed her dead. He just called her 'friend'. IDK, that's very minor in the grand scheme of things.
But honestly this and Huggins other scenes just... has me confused. So... a black hole send her back to before the Big Bang? Yet her parents haven't tried to leave even though they can go through time? It kinda sounds like they were expecting Huggins so... maybe there's a reason? But this mainly makes me question the Everwhen and time travel. So... I assumed that the Everwhen was a simulation, but I guess not. It's legit the past. And Doc was also sent into it, even though he wasn't caught in the paradox. So how did Donut retain his memory? I know they said that he got brought back through Chrovos' essence, so is that why? How can the Reds and Blues shift through time when they haven't entered the Everwhen? Why was losing the Time Gun a big deal if they can just jump back to S16 Episode 14? How does a black hole causing time to loop make any sense at all? I just... I don't know anymore.
Okay... let's talk about something else that won't hurt my brain. Sister and Tucker... there's not much to talk about. Won't lie, I got a giggle out of the bizarre stories that Sister told Tucker just to fuck with him. My only real issue is that... didn't they resolve their issues at the end of S16? Then again I can see Sister still wanting some form of payback, so meh. Otherwise, no real opinion and I'm glad that we didn't drag out Tucker being out of the loop for too long. Donut just being so done with everything and going through the spiel as quickly as possible was definitely worth it. Oh and Doc is back... yeah calling it now, it's O'Malley pretending to be Doc. We saw that he can do it before in S16's finale...and depending on when he took over in S16 Episode 6. I could be wrong, but I don't know... I feel like something big is still waiting.
But enough of all that. Let us talk about Donut and the moment that we have all been waiting for. Now, I will say that the Reds anger over the betrayal is justified... somewhat. Sarge has zero room to talk considering his own actions in S15. Yeah, he did ultimately do the right thing and regret it, but he still did it and couldn't promise that he wouldn't again, so no fuck you, Sarge. You're great at speeches, but you have shit room to talk. Grif has far more justification in his reaction (helps that he wasn't threatening to kill Donut) because.. yeah if Donut didn't take The Hammer, they could have resolved this before anything happened. Mind you if none of them treated him like shit and outright called him 'an empty suit of armor' he may not have, but still Grif handled it pretty maturely I feel. And Simmons... actually he didn't do anything wrong and even asked Donut if he did save them all, so he's off the hook. My point is, yeah what Donut did was wrong, but remember why he did it: everyone treating him like shit. Sarge outright called him an empty suit of armor. Seriously man, what the Hell?
The reason that Donut's 'The Reason You Suck' Speech was so effective, aside from the previous buildup these past few episodes, is because... well, he's right. They mocked him about his pink armor, and even the standard Red one he had when he first showed up. They've always been nothing but annoyed and belittling of him. Sometimes it was justified, like when he showed up in S11 but send the pilot off. Other times, like Tucker asking why they would ever listen to him in S16 were just harsh. And yeah, in Recollection they did leave him for dead. Sure Simmons was concerned, but that didn't last long and none of them ever mentioned him or considered getting his body during S8 or S10 before they found him alive. There is plenty of canon evidence to support this, and it's something that fans have been pointing out for years. And even with the betrayal, the paradox is entirely on them, not Donut. They still chose to cause it, knowing full well what could happen, so they are just as responsible for their shit situation.
Yeah, Donut did betray the group and that was wrong. To some degree, he deserved being called out, hence why I'm more okay with Grif's reaction that Sarge being a hypocrite. And no, they don't know about Donut ultimately changing his mind and trying to stop Chrovos then and there, but was too late. But they weren't exactly allowing him to explain, as per usual, even with Wash backing him up. Which BTW, Thank God for Wash. He was fully on Donut's side, Donut didn't tell him to shut up when he apologized for the multiple shootings, and Wash immediately told the guys to go and apologize. It's the kind of support that Donut needs and I think the push form Wash, along with his own frustration, finally got him to stand up to the others and tell them off. But back to my point, Donut is justified in his anger. Donut is justified in wanting to leave once he's explained everything. If no one will ever give him any shred of decency or even let him explain how he tried to correct his mistakes, yet people like Wash and Sarge got forgiven with little argument, why the Hell should he stand by them?
Final Thoughts
This episode gave me a headache. I think it's so far my least favorite episode. But that being said, I can't call it bad. Huggins is alive, everyone (except Lopez) is back up to speed, and Donut finally, FINALLY got to tell everyone off for treating him like shit for so long. That moment alone made this episode a winner for me. What's going to happen now? Hell if I know, but I am ready for it! Migraine over time travel bullshit be damned!

❝ D E AT H S T R O K E ❞ … LOADING FILE …
X. info sheet .X
* note: this is a character biography i did for slade, ages ago. i edited this to match the rpg’s setting, and wrote this in a way different from your typical biography. imagine, it’s written in the perspective of a scientist / doctor, a member from the team responsible for his super soldier abilities. some information is purposefully blacked out ( don’t worry it’s not your computers ! ). idk, i’d thought i’d do something creative with his story and my portrayal of it. hopefully it all makes sense, but if you have any questions, i’ll be glad to answer them! discord or dms!

P A S T
Slade Wilson was born on █████████ █████████ ████████ in █████████ ████████ to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson. His mother was ❝weak❞, he said, and his father abandoned him as a child. His father, Charles Wilson, a former CIA agent, was believed to be on a mission, but no record of the mission was ever recorded, nor found. Charles was later found to have defected to the ██████ ██ █████████. Charles had become something called Odysseus. Slade found him and killed him, years later. Slade still believes his father left because he chose to, and Slade doesn’t seem to remember his brother.
Slade has shown in his mentality and personality, that he is an individual capable of looking out for themselves. His father’s abandonment and unstable home, may be why, but it’s not conclusive. Slade may have always been selfish yet independent. However it may be, Slade Wilson was determined to enlist in the U.S. Army. Later, it is found Slade had lied about his age on his papers, and ran away from home. Instead of him being discharged, he was told to stay. His talents and skills in guerrilla warfare were far superior than any other soldier. He was tested over and over and over and promoted over and over by his superiors.
His ex-wife, Adeline Kane Wilson, was an Army Squadron Leader and instructor, who eventually trained Slade and took him under her wing. He impressed her, demonstrating his combat and skills, while high marks by Kane were left in this profile. In surveillance, you can see his fighting style sometimes resembles Kane’s style. His fighting style is either influenced or taken directly from Kane. What we did not anticipate was how dangerous their relationship would be. Slade would be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, and sometime later Slade and Kane █████ ████ ██ ████ and marry. They would divorce, we don’t know why.
His first son, Grant Wilson, would become the first recorded Ravager. We’re not sure what happened, other than Slade finished his contract, and Grant was killed. The death of his son clearly affects him, to the point that he won’t talk about it. His second son, Joseph Wilson, also appears to be a heavy subject, but he appears to be more willing to talk about Joseph. ❝Joey❞ he said, in a psychological evaluation. Joseph Wilson is mute. Maybe Slade had something to do with Joseph’s disability….we don’t know. But Slade has shown signs of guilt, for both his sons. Grant and Joseph Wilson are children from his first marriage to Adeline Kane.
Slade’s daugther, Rose Wilson, was born out of wedlock. Her mother, ███████ █████, Slade appeared to have an affair with, while on assignment. He won’t say he abandoned Rose, most likely because of the comparison to his father, but he did abandon her. Because she was raised without her father. Rose would go on to take up the mantle as Ravager. We don’t know how many there are. From surveillance, she is the only one of his kids he communicates with, the most. They don’t always get along, or not at all, understandably. Slade appears to have a disconnect with his children. Just as he is disconnected with everyone else.
Slade was a good soldier. Excellent soldier. The perfect soldier. The Army asked him to volunteer for a secret medical experiment that was said to be a defense against the enemy’s Truth Serum. He agreed. It was really our attempt to make metahuman super-soldiers. He was lied to - but he was the perfect candidate. Something else we hadn’t anticipated: a violent response to the serum. It broke his mind and body, then built him back up. Stronger than before. But that would happen later. The immediate results were Slade’s more aggressive, violent, and enraged behavior. This aggression would remain with him, long after the experiment ended. Slade would go on to continue this as Deathstroke…
We deemed the experiment a failure, and Slade was limited to a desk job. We continued to monitor him, but what was the point? We thought. Our experiment had failed, until he started to show signs that it hadn’t. Enhanced, to a human’s peak, we did it. We did it. Accelerated healing helped to heal what else was left, and out perfect soldier was made even better. Slade’s enhanced mind allowed him to use 90% of his brain, and he has shown it’s use when he fights several enemies at once and uses tactical planning for his contract kills. We made a weapon…that even we could not handle. His mind remained broken. Even though we made him smarter, his mental stability, emotionally, crumbled. We wouldn’t call it crazy, but we’d call it violent. All Slade has now is aggression, a violent streak, and blood lust. He still has some sort of sense of humor, but we would highly advise to stay away from this man. He is unstable. We’re not sure if humor or violence will unleash out of him, at anytime.
We’re not sure what happened after that. We were told Slade was discharged, disobeying orders, trying to save another soldier. Wintergreen, his friend. Slade disappeared after, becoming what we only know now as Deathstroke.
P R E S E N T
We now have somewhat of a picture of what Slade has been up to. He’s made several enemies of heroes and villains, in Gotham alone, and has spent time with the League of Assassins. Physically, he’s gotten better. Mentally, he’s gotten worse.
We don’t know what happened to Slade Wilson. He was on assignment, and then, he was gone. Men don’t just disappear, especially not a man like Slade. He wouldn’t disappear unless he planned it. We’re looking into it. We have to find our weapon.

Dragon Age Companions, Part 1
I recently read a post (originally from Weresquirrel, sorry I don't know how to tag), about the criticisms characters from the Bioware fandom face. So I guess I'm just feeling the need to lay out my feelings for the characters, after so long of playing (I'm only doing dragon age here, I loved all the Mass Effect characters so much I don't really need to explain it further) Vivienne: In my first playthrough of Inquisition, I LOVED Viv. Aside from her fabulous nature, I was glad to see a black woman in a position of power, who is both elegant and demanding of your respect. I still to this day respect her a great deal, but I now agree with Sera, she's a bitch. I respect her achievements, she has accomplished more in her life than I probably ever will, but her schemes and manipulations make her difficult for me to trust and make me question her motivations. When you first meet her, she uses your presence to publicly shame a rival, which at first I thought was awesome but now I think was quite rude. But she also showed that, under her Orlesian Noble veneer, she is a deeply caring person, as can be seen if you give her the snowy wyvern heart. I lover her as a character, she is interesting and has fantastic depth, but as a person I just don't know if I could trust her. Sera: My brother still hates her, and initially I thought she was annoying but I trusted bioware enough to give her a chance. And boy was I glad! She may be a bit naive as less well-educated than our other friends, but she is intuitive and clever. When I learned about her past, I wanted to build a pillow fort and share cookies with her in it to make her feel better, but I guess the roof will suffice. Her wit and humor helps make the Inquisition's leadership more approachable and human to the commoners and soldiers that make up the body of the organization. And while I wish she was more open-minded, she is right; a lot of the stuff that happened in Inquisition is fuckin wierd. The Iron Bull: Personally, my view of him is a bit colored. I love big burly, lumberjack like males and he was a cookie I couldn't wait to eat. I find his humor raunchy and his manners lacking (not as much as Cassandra, close the damned door people!), but he was genuinely sweet at times during the romance. I wish he wasn't such a womanizer, but if he said that barmaid was a man instead, I would have cheered him on so I guess double standards can go both ways. My first play of Trespasser he was Qun-loyal, and I had to stop the game for a bit to cry (Alicia Key's song, "No One" coming on exactly then did NOT HELP FUCK ME), so I vowed to save the Chargers in every future playthrough. Krem: I can't remember his full name but I felt so embarrassed when I found out they were trans. I thought, at first, "great, it's that dumb Eowyn cliché, she dressed like a man so she could fight" thing but no. Krem really was trans and I felt stupid for not even considering that. Otherwise, Krem is my fave I wish we could chat more!! Varric: I guess I should have mentioned the lying thing with Iron Bull too, but I don't think either of them is untrustworthy. They both admit that they lie a lot, but I honestly don't believe that they ever lie to you, at least not on anything big, or at least something you wouldn't understand (obvi, lying about Hawke was pretty big). Varric is practically the embodiment of what I want my video-game self to be; witty, charming, devilishly handsome, imaginitive, and quite capable and smart. He isn't as intellectual as others, but that doesn't mean shit to me here. I love him, from one fellow little brother to another. Cassandra: OMFG DID YOU SEE THOSE EMBOSSED HEARTS ON HER ARMOR SHE IS SO PRECIOUS!!!!! I honest to god hated Cassandra in DA2, for kidnapping Varric. But she is just so god damned awesome! She's strong, capable, determined, inquisitive, has an awesome scar, and holds little back. And with an accent like that, how could she NOT be a hopeless romantic? She's literally perfect, I just wiSH SHE DIDNT INTERUPT BULL AND ME though to be fair, she didn't start it, she just... was the most blunt about it. OF COURSE ITS MORE THAN JUST A FLING HAVE YOU LOOKED AT THE MAN?! Josephine: jesus christ I feel like a fangirl just thinking about her. She is so cute and silly and innocent, but then she just turns around and steels the pot at Wicked Grace and is the calmest person I've ever seen considering she JUSt learned an organization of assassins is gunning for her. She is perfect as a diplomat, and I would be proud to call her a friend. Solas: he makes me angry. At first, and I guess even still, I find him intriguing. The fade interests me a great deal, and Solas has so much cool info about it! And then I saw how racist he was. And hypocritical. And genocidal. Honestly, Solas, I thought you were better than this! I am very disappointed in you, bad boy! Blackwall: I wish he was gay, he is sooo adorbs! I think he is incredibly courageous, and while I try to follow a Retributive philosophy regarding justice, I think his guilt was enough punishment And he is genuinely a good man now. Dorian: totally fab. He is very sarcastic, which I love, but I do think Dorian legit has some kind of anger issue. He doesn't get angry often, but when he does he says very hurtful things that he later regrets, and sometimes I worry whether he might actually mean them. That is understandable, your dad trying to make you straight by using blood magic is fucked up. But he's a bit of a spoiled brat, and while he jokes about it I think he still doesn't quite get it. But his goals of wanting to bring change to the Imperium are noble, and I think I could call him a friend. Romancing him is on my to-do list. Cole: Since Cole is a spirit, things get a bit wierd about him. I definitely love his character, I always go the more human route because the spirit route is just too... idk, it just feels wrong. Lile he's actually less compassionate than before. But I think he has a good heart and thats what counts
