#dogblr#iditarod#he was forced to scratch by officials in 2022 or be disqualified bc of the condition of his dogs#rejected for application in 2023 because of concerns for dog care#rejected from iditarod in 2019 due to concerns for dog care#after he had a dog die at the yukon quest and was subsequently banned from that race too#like we talk about holding our sport to a higher standard#and a bad apples in dog care and like THIS is it clearly.#safe to say i am uh. not a fan.#reminder i am still pro iditarod and sled dog racing#and banning bad apples from competition is good#but i also worry what happens to the dogs outside of a competition enviroment#bc less eyes are on them
