Wels was fused with a Rookidee! Specifically the shiny variant. They actually got the Rookidee as part of a deal with Macro Cosmos, which also included a bunch of other things on both sides. He had small wings on his back, and skin covered in pale yellow feathers. Then he evolved, his feathers became closer to silver, and his wings were suddenly larger.

When he hit Corviknight status, he changed again, the feathers turning to metal plates, his wings growing even larger. He’s covered in shining silver armour now, his wings large enough to get him off the ground, his unnatural nature impossible to hide.

Fortunately, most people think he’s just a really eccentric weirdo. But he lives in a world of really eccentric weirdos, so he fits right in! [Seriously, what is up with some people's outfits. Does Plumeria not realize how bizarre her hair looks? Is Faba completely ignorant of how stupid his glasses are? And don’t get me started on Sordward and Sheilbert I hate those two so much I want to acquaint their smugass faces with bricks. Repeatedly. With significant force.]

*ahem* Wels’ moves consist of Steel Wing, Fly, Sky Attack and Brave Bird. Hels is his normal human cousin who manages to be more of a weirdo than the guy who’s in full plate armour 24/7.
