A is for Affection: How do they show their affection for their darling? How often do they show it?

💖 Tendou would start with soft touches that could go unnoticed by you. Just one of those "touchy friend" types, right? An arm slung around your shoulder, pulling at your cheeks teasingly, hands over your eyes from behind saying "guess who?", and other harmless, playful things.

💖 These touches might start to escalate if you receive them well. A quick kiss on the cheek, a hug that lasts much longer than normal... suddenly it doesn't feel as "friendly" as it used to.

💖 When Tendou "takes you home", he'll see no reason to hold himself back with his affection. He's going to be fairly clingy, just warning you!

B is for Blood: How messy are they willing to get for their darling? Why?

🔪 Tendou seems to enjoy seeing the helpless look on people's faces, so he might enjoy murder. Since the sadistic pleasure comes from defeating his rivals, I think anyone that is a contender for your love is probably in mortal danger.

C is for Care or Cruelty: How would they treat their darling when they kidnap them? Would they mock them?

��� I don't think Tendou would really MOCK you, but he would be pretty smug about his victory. He wouldn't be able to stop gloating about his plan going perfectly.

💔 Tendou will treat you well, though. Don't think for a second that he'll be mean because this boy's a bit like an overexcited puppy when it comes to you.

D is for Delusion: How delusional are they when it comes to their darling? Do they believe their darling loves them?

💭 Tendou is aware that you don't like him back (yet) but he doesn't think his thoughts or actions are abnormal. Possessive tendencies, dark thoughts, even murder... it's all because he loves you, so that's fine!

E is for Expose: How much of their heart do they bear to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling? How much time will it take to trust them?

💧 Tendou didn't have a great past and he doesn't really love thinking about how the other kids bullied him. I think he does have a bit of fear that you might judge him too, even if you've shown nothing but kindness towards him.

💧 Because of that insecurity, I think it would take a long time for Tendou to tell you about his past if you didn't know it. If you did know about it, he wouldn't want to talk about it. But why dwell on bad memories when he can make good new ones with you!

💧 Trust though? Tendou is a bit paranoid about you leaving him, so you're literally never going to be trusted near a potential escape. 50 years down the road and he's still not letting you within EYESIGHT of the padlocked door.

F is for Fight: How would they react if their darling fought back?

👊 Tendou would probably find it hilarious if you tried to physically fight back. Do you HONESTLY think you're going to overpower him? I mean: he's big, strong, fast, and good at guessing your next move. Yeah, nice try.

👊 Like I said, he'd find it funny. It's a bit of a challenge, it's so cute to see that feisty side of you! To Tendou, it's kind of like a special little game you both play. You'll never really win anyways, so what's the worry?

G is for Guilt: What would it take for them to feel guilty about their actions? Or do they feel guilty from the start?

😔 Guilt? What's guilt? I don't think Tendou would feel that.

😔 Seriously though, even if you got hurt or were upset, I don't think Tendou would blame himself. He wouldn't blame you, of course, but it's just kinda... necessary, you know?

H is for Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

🔥 An angry Tendou is not a fun Tendou. Seriously, angering him isn't fun for you or him. He can be a cute, dorky little thing but he can be kinda scary when pissed.

I is for Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

👩‍❤️‍👨 Tendou has a cute little future planned for you both. This boy's thought hard about what your wedding will be like, how many kids you both will have, etc. I don't think he'll really take your opinions into consideration, but maybe if you try hard enough you can convince him.

J is for Jealousy: How easily do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

💢 Tendou doesn't feel "jealousy" exactly. He can pick out rivals, yes, but he doesn't have any worry about them taking you away from him. They won't if he has anything to do with it.

💢 It's fine if you talk to others, though it'll irk him if you're really flirting with someone. He won't blame you for attracting admirers and he'll let you talk to them if you want. They just... aren't exactly... safe from him...

K is for Kidnap: How would they go about kidnapping their darling? How much do they plan it out?

🔒 Tendou would be quick to kidnap you BUT he's not stupid. If the risk of being caught is high, he's not going to rush. He'd find a good opportunity and have a plan for how to take advantage of it. He's pretty good at figuring out what you are going to do.

L is for Love Letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

💌 Tendou wouldn't mind being friend-zoned as a start. That way he can be close to you without you suspecting him of any ill intentions. And he can just pretend to be "that touchy friend" that likes to hang all over you.

💌 He'd probably be extra playful with you and seek you out so much that even his teammates can't help but notice. He'd ask you to go everywhere with him and trail after you when you go somewhere.

M is for Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they acted before?

🎭 I would say that Tendou can hide things pretty well. He sometimes conceals his true nature and how dark his thoughts are, but his teammates/friends/family CAN tell that he's acting strangely.

N is for Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

🚓 I can't picture Tendou hurting you (or really any yandere, to be honest) but I can picture him being crueler with his punishments than the others.

🚓 Tendou might deprive you of food/water until you give in to what he wants or he might lock you up with very tight restraints. You'll come to learn that an angry Tendou isn't a fun Tendou to deal with.

O is for Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling? What rights can be earned with time and trust?

📜 I think that, as long as you're behaving, Tendou would let you roam pretty free around the house. I mean, that's not really saying much, considering you can't leave or anything.

P is for Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

🕊️ I feel like Tendou wouldn't be very patient. Not so much "impatient" as he is just really excited. He CAN wait, he'd just prefer not to. I feel like he'd be playfully impatient too- pretending he can't wait another moment and dramatically faking relief when the wait is over.

🕊️ Tendou wants to give you the benefit of the doubt and he knows you need time to adjust. As long as you don't go TOO far, he will go super easy on you. He'll probably even do a "3 warnings" system or something.

Q is for Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

🏃‍♀️ If you die, Tendou will spend the rest of his life miserable and in mourning. I don't think he'd know what to do with himself- he lost his whole world when you left it.

🏃‍♀️ I do think there's a possibility for escape, just not a high one. If you do manage it, Tendou will hunt you down for as long as it takes. If it takes until the day you die, Tendou will keep searching.

R is for Rage: How do they act when angry? How do they calm down?

👿 Tendou's anger ranges from peeved "tch"es to bared-teeth yelling. In any case, it'll be hard to calm him down, unless it's not aimed at you. If he's having a bad day or angry about something not related to you, wrapping your arms around him or climbing into his lap will immediately soothe him.

👿 If you're the one that caused his anger, however, you're in big trouble. Your only options are to wait it out or hide. If you hide, you stay safe but he'll stay angry for longer. Weigh the pros and cons.

S is for Soulmate: What made them fall in love with their darling? How did they first meet? When did they realize they loved their darling?

💍 You either defended him from bullies or were kind to him, never seeing him as a "monster" like the others. Your refusal to be cruel to him immediately caught his eye, since most people give him a LOT of distance.

💍 Tendou just ADORES how you don't flinch when he approaches you, that you don't stare uncomfortably at his face, or that you don't make fun of his mannerisms. You don't seem to approve of his fairly-cruel (and frankly disturbing) songs and attitudes about others, but you don't treat him any different because of it.

💍 You never had to treat him special, in fact, that's the exact opposite. You treated him NORMALLY. And, because of that, he got the chance to get to know you. Aren't you so glad?

T is for Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

😭 It depends on the situation. I think, if it was something you were really sad about, Tendou would try to cheer you up. He'd do his best to turn that frown upside down because your smile is so much prettier!

😭 However, if it's because of his punishment/anger or you're crying about "wanting to go home", he might be a little more sadistic about it. I can see him doing silly little teasing gestures (tilting his head strangely, innocently wondering aloud why you're so sad).

U is for Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

👌 Tendou isn't... normal. Like, even canon non-Yandere Tendou is kinda... strange. Because of this, no matter how disturbing and yandere he acts, no one else will realize just how serious his oddities are this time.

V is for Visit: Would they allow anyone else to visit their darling? Do they trust their darling to talk to their loved ones (in person, on the phone, etc.) or not at all?

🧳 As long as Ushijima doesn't tell, the miracle boy can come hang out with you two. Tendou secretly kinda wants to show you off a bit. Won't Wakatoshi be so happy for him?

🧳 Semi Semi doesn't get to visit you. Sorry.

W is for Weakness: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

❌ Being hated. If you hate Tendou or act like you do, it'll break him. I'm not saying "call him names" because THAT will just anger him. I mean "I hate it here", "I don't want you", and just generally pushing him away from you.

❌ He wants you to love him- That's one of the reasons he loved you... because you DIDN'T hate him... You can't hate him- YOU CAN'T-

X is for Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

🛐 As clingy and loving as Tendou is, he's not the worshipper type. You put him at a level of normalcy, so he puts you on that same level. I mean, your relationship with him is NOT normal, but to him it is.

🛐 Tendou WILL go to any length necessary to win you over, though. I mean, he didn't kidnap you just for fun. He abducted you so that you could both fall in love together like you were meant to, without all those pathetic rivals in the way.

Y is for Yearning: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

😍 Depending on how friendly you were with Tendou, he may have had a "slow burn" (in Tendou terms) or "instant" love for you. If you met through mutual friends or something, it'll take a while for him to "snap". Otherwise, like everything with Tendou, it'll go QUICK.

Z is for Zero Tolerance: What is the thing that always makes them snap? What things will they not allow their darling to do under any circumstances?

0️⃣ Calling Tendou names = the exact opposite of why he loves you. Especially if you call him a "monster". That word will send Tendou into a fury you will instantly regret invoking. An "I hate you" is a million times better than "You're a monster".

Do’s And Don'ts With A Reunited Legion, Part 3

AKA This is the fifth closet Legion popped into, because the first four were occupied by Anti, Bim, Sharper and Ollie respectively. In all seriousness, I originally planned for this story to be very angst-filled with a side heaping of the noose dealio that @ferociousfangirlofmanyfandoms wrote. Lucky for you folks, that never made it in, but I’m saving it on the back-burner for the next angst surprise. Also, since this is a double whammy with a second submission, the next piece is not angsty! Have fun.

Eric hadn’t spent as much time with Legion as he wanted to when they got back, considering the fact that Mare stayed rather close to them. And despite the ghost’s apparent friendliness, Eric was still pretty terrified of him.

That wasn’t to say that he had avoided Legion. They would spend small moments together, usually with him knitting and them watching intently while they sorted out the yarn. Or talking in soft voices when headaches came along, each respectful of the other’s pain. One time he even cooked with them, and it’s then that he learned Legion had a selective range of cooking abilities and that they were terrible when it came to high-concentration cooking. Like making sure the pot didn’t boil over. At least there wasn’t a fire.

When he looked back on this, Eric had no real idea why he was in that particular hallway. It was nearing the evening, and the slowly falling sun casted distorted shadows through the window panes. Some of the trees helped to give each shadow it’s own shape, but they were light enough to be rendered separate from Dark or the Void’s signatures. Eric remembered the sensation of warmth against his skin, probably falsely conjured up in his own subconscious, but it felt lovely. The air was tranquil and there was no booming floor, rattling doors or even a groan of defeat (those were caused by the ‘old folks’, mainly Dark, Phantom, Mad, and Google). Just blissful quiet.

…And the barely noticeable hiccup that came right after a long, hard wail from sobbing.

What?

Eric wasn’t one for confrontation, and if this were any other time and any other place, he would’ve ran off to grab his Dad or most anyone else for backup. But with the peace of the previous moment still within him and a sense of curiosity that had begun blooming again (once he moved here), he wanted to see what was happening. Of course he knew that sound, he had sounded like that many times in the past, usually on the cusp of or already into a full blown panic attack. So to hear someone else sounding like that, well, loneliness wasn’t good for situations like that. He could help? Right?

He moved slower to trace the sound, and he eventually got to a plain looking door, no label to it. Probably a broom closet or something. A perfect place for someone having a panic attack.

Personally, he preferred the closets on the ground floor.

Don’t think like that. He scolded himself, before taking a deep breath in, trying to instill his confidence before raising a fist to knock against the door. The wavelengths shattered the silence, canceling out all other thoughts and sounds. Including the weak gasps.

“H-h-hello? Uh-um, an-anyone th-there?” Nothing greeted his question, and he began to wonder if he was hearing something. But that sound was so accurate…? “Its-s-s  Eric-c?”

There it was again. The barely perceptible sob. “I-I’m com-m-ming in? No-no, I’m coming i-in.” He grasped the handle and tried to turn it, but found it was locked under his grip. His fingers were already trembling, and he had to take another breath to try and steady them. “Cou-could you open t-t-the d-door?”

“No,” The voice took him by surprise, but he recovered once he realized who hid beyond his reach, separated by an oaken wall.

“L-L-Legion?”  Oh goodness, this wasn’t good. He had yet to see them hurting like this, besides when they had first come back from that place, when they had been with that scary man. He could remember those moments when the Actor was in the house, the way the terror of his presence constricted his throat and his lungs. And those visits were short, lasted fifteen minutes at most. Legion was with him for weeks. Stuck beside him with no escape.

Eric knew he wouldn’t have made it, and standing outside this door, it finally struck him that Legion couldn’t have gone through all that unscathed. They had to have been hurt too. And now, now maybe they were working through it.

“L-Legion,” He started, slowly settling himself onto the floor beside the door, taking time to lay his prosthetics against the carpet. “Legion, I-I’m here. An-and if y-you need me o-or you wa-wanta talk about it-t, I-I’m here. You-you’re not al-alone.  N-n-not anymore.” He settled himself beside the door and waited, letting the silence settle within the hall. Letting the fading sunlight warm his skin. Letting himself hope that his presence in the hall would be enough for Legion.

Legion, that silly ‘kid’ who knew more than they let on, who held in their eyes ages of knowledge that betrayed their form. Eric saw them as an older sibling, playful and confident of themselves, always encouraging what he wanted to do and serious in their promises. Host’s kid, the one that he knew the older man would fight for. Just like his Dad.

And wasn’t that something amazing? That he had a real Dad now. And that Legion had a Dad too. They both had someone that loved and protected them, that didn’t want anything from them. It still took Eric by surprise sometimes…

“Eric?” The voices asked hesitantly from the wood, speaking through the crack between the frame and the door itself. Eric shook himself out of his musing, turning his head so that his ear was beside the crack. He wasn’t sure why there were multiple voices, unless this was what Legion meant when they said they weren’t alone upstairs. 

“L-Legion?”

“We’re sorry. For keeping you here. We’re… we’re fine.” That was a lie, and he knew that both of them knew it. And well, he wasn’t going to be dissuaded that easily this time.

“It-it’s fine. Hon-n-nestly Le-Legion. I g-g-get it. S-s-sometimes-s you need to b-b-be alone. S-sort through it-t. Y-ya know?” There was a weak laugh from the crack, a hollow laugh.

“Never really alone. Not with so many of us fighting. To be heard, to say Something. To be alive in us.” There was a pause before they continued, their voices tampering down into one again, even if there was the slightest reverb to it. “We were beginning to lose it, and we didn’t want to scare anyone. We get, scary when we’re losing it. Didn’t want to worry Dad or Mare. Just… just needed to breathe again. Breathe without scaring anyone.”

“A cl-closets-s nice l-like that.” Eric said, trying to keep his voice steady. “S-small to k-keep the w-world from cl-closing in o-on you. Its secluded, q-quiet and m-makes you b-big.”

“Yeah, I guess a closet is ideal. Bright side of things.” There was some shuffling, and beside Eric the lock popped open. “You can come in, if, if you want?” The nervousness in their voice was obvious, but they were in good company. Eric was always in a state of nervousness.

“Sure,” He reached up and grasped the handle, turning it with ease this time. He gave it a gentle tug and opened a crack, letting enough fading sunlight in to illuminate the figure in the little room. Legion was bracing themselves against two shelves, their hair falling in messy, tangled waves around their head. The hood hung like a deflated balloon on their shoulder, and the cloak had stretched to cover all of their body. Like a giant blanket. Protective and cuddly.

“Nice place y-you got.” Legion titled their head, their eyes lighting up despite the redness that tainted them and the puffiness of their skin.

“Prime real estate.” Eric pulled himself in, opening the door wider to paint Legion in the last rays of orange light. They glowed radiantly, like something out of folklore. “Eric, you sure you aren’t an angel?”

“Huh? What d’ya m-mean?” They grinned.

“The light is a halo around you. You look like an angel.” He blushed, rubbing the back of his head.

“Th-thanks!” He settled beside them and they stared out the top of the window, holding hands up to keep the bottom rays from blinding them.

“Makes us think of that time we tried to convince everyone Dark was a vampire in the Retro.” Eric turned to them.

“What?”

“Oh, that story’s great. Okay, so, it was right after Dark over in the last universe had kinda turned over a new leaf and we wanted to give him a proper ‘welcome back.’ So, first we rigged up this giant spotlight with Wilford’s help…”

ALL ABOUT BTS: Know more about the members!

Q. We heard all the members are living together! What do you think is good about living together?

V: How it’s not lonely. While a certain degree of privacy is necessary, it’s better when it’s not boring.

JH: We’ve already lived together for eight years, so they’ve basically become my family. I’ve probably spent more time with them than my actual family. (laughs) I think it’s a good thing that we’re able to be together.

JM: It’s not lonely and more importantly, when we live together with the other members we can talk to each other lots and understand each other better. When you share everything with the others, it’s a lot easier to express yourself and do lots of things. I believe living together was a huge factor of how we were able to advance this far.

Q. Do the members ever fight?

V: Yes! It’s like a sibling fight, so there are no reasons for them in particular.

Q. We heard some of you keep pets, what are you keeping?

JH: There used to be a member who kept a dog at or dorm, but we were away often and felt sorry for it so he stopped keeping it at the dorm. Now it’s just JIN’s sugar gliders.

JM: Sugar gliders are similar to squirrels, but they’re not the same. (laughs) Come to think of it, I’m the only one who doesn’t have a pet!

Q. For the record… do the members ever play together privately?

V: All the time. We talk about silly things and waste time together. (laughs) We go out to eat too. The things we want to eat change every day so we try all kinds of restaurants. ♪

JH: We’ve been living together for so long, everyone has their own plans for our days off. But sometimes we travel together. Once, we all went to Ganghwa Island to watch the ocean and have a barbeque. But lately, we’ve just been relaxing and resting. Because we tend to think about work even on our days off. That’s why we’re trying to rest without thinking about work on our days off. (laughs)

JM: J-HOPE and I often go to the movies or shopping together. The members go out to eat together a lot and if something bad happens or someone goes through something painful we’ll all gather together. Recently, I came to Japan with JUNGKOOK! On Halloween. We were dressed up so no one recognised us at all. ♪It’s tough going to busy places while worrying about being recognised, but I fulfilled my wish to participate in a busy parade, so it was a good experience. (laughs)

Q. Any funny episodes with the members lately?

V: All the members ate together on my birthday. I can’t remember why we laughed or what we talked about, but everyone was eating and laughing and making an uproar. ♪

JM: It’s always fun when everyone gathers together. We ate together on V’s birthday and after award shows.

JH: We’ve been together so long, I can’t think of anything funny in particular! (laughs) But I also have the most fun getting excited at our get-together parties.

About JIN

Q. Tell us which of JIN’s cooking is delicious. ♡

V: Anything JIN makes is delicious. ♡ I don’t think cooking is a simple task so I think it’s wonderful that he’s interested in cooking. I’ve started to gain a little interest in cooking because of JIN.

JM: He makes lots of things. When we were trainees, we used to eat a lot of chicken tenders so he would make us fried rice with chicken tenders. When SUGA was taking his university admissions test, we all made breakfast for him and sent him off together.

JH: The most delicious thing I’ve eaten is the tteokguk [rice cake soup] we eat for New Years in Korea. Tteokguk has different seasoning depending on the region you’re in, but JIN’s tteokguk was really good! He just hasn’t had any time cook lately, so if he does cook for us it’s usually ramen. JIN is the best at cooking among the members. He’s good at using his hands.

About RM

Q. We’ve heard that RM is a Destruction King, is that true? Has he broken anything recently?

V: I don’t know! (laughs)

JM: We haven’t seen him lately.

JH: Whether by chance or necessity, this Destruction King nickname seems to really suit him. (laughs) RM himself doesn’t want to break things, things just strangely break and spill a lot around him. He can be a little careless. For example, a few days ago he tried to grab his bag from the table and bumped a cup of coffee with his bag instead, spilling it everywhere. (laughs) Things like that happen a lot. Do you know what we call those types of people in Korea? ‘RM’.

About JUNGKOOK

Q. Is JUNGKOOK still a cute maknae?

JH: There’s still some maknae-like cuteness left in him, but lately he’s really become an adult in the way he thinks and talks. He’s turned into a fine adult. I especially feel this way when he gives award acceptance speeches and interview responses.

JM: But he’s still our cute little brother forever.

V: No, he’s scary. (serious) He’s actually very strict, despite how he seems. He gets mad when we make mistakes with the choreography. (laughs)

About SUGA

Q. SUGA is well known for sleeping a lot, what is he like in reality?

V: He sleeps. (laughs) He really does sleep a ridiculous amount. How long does he sleep in a day? I don’t know. I have work too, so I can’t always watch over him.

JM: I don’t think that’s true. (laughs)

JH: No, he’s always sleeping. But all the members sleep when there’s a chance to. But I’m the type who thinks it’s a waste to spend time sleeping, so I get up and move around sometimes. I think it’s enough to sleep as much as is required to do our activities, so I sleep at least six hours.

V’s true self

JH: He really has a lot of charms. He has a lot of natural talents that you can really feel when he stands on stage. V started learning dance after coming to Seoul, but now he’s really good at dancing. There’s plenty I want to learn from him and I’m looking forward to him in the future too. He was recently selected as ‘The Most Handsome Man in the World’, which was well deserved. Since he really is handsome. (laughs) But he’s not always handsome, he relaxes when he’s at the dorm.

JM: When we first met he was so playful and full of mischief, I thought he was a troublemaker! Even now I think he has a unique way of thinking, but that’s also cute. After living together for so long, I now like the parts of him that made me think “What’s with that?” at first. (laughs) He has a really good personality and is like everyone’s ‘friend’ in the group. Also, while there are some days where he is the most handsome man in the world, there are other days where I think “Is this person really handsome?” (laughs)

JIMIN’s true self

V: To be honest, my first impression of JIMIN was “He’s a little lame”. (laughs) He didn’t seem to have any interest in fashion. But he learned Korean contemporary dance, so he was really good at dancing. Even now, when I see him dancing, I think JIMIN’s dancing is beautiful. I love JIMIN’s dancing. He’s probably the little brother in the group that everyone wants as an older brother. He thinks he’s cool but he’s actually really cute.

JH: As the maknaes, JIMIN and V bring to the group a certain brightness and cuteness. JIMIN has a lot of talent in performances, and while he’s younger, there are times when he’s really like an older brother. He loves mischief but he’s a mature person who thinks a lot. All the members often talk together before an activity or after an award show, and the words JIMIN says then are really deep. He’s younger than me, but I respect him a lot.

J-HOPE’s true self

V: J-HOPE is especially skilled at dancing within BTS, and the first time I met him I thought “This person seems like he’d be good at dancing”. JIMIN: He makes a really good first impression, like the kind older brother in the neighbourhood. Like with V, he supported me until I got used to everything. He’s the moodmaker of the group. Mic Drop. It’s the coolest and the hardest. The choreography is difficult so I said it was the hardest, but it’s fun to dance.

Q. Are there any up and coming fashions that interest you?

I’ve always been really interested in fashion. Everything I wear is something that I want to wear, but once I get older and reach my 30s and 40s I’d like to dress in killer suits. And I want to grow a beard.

Q. What did you do during your free time recently?

Recently, I went to Busan for a vacation. It was my first time in Busan for a trip and it was very relaxing.

Dogs. I have a Pomeranian.

He’s a Pomeranian and his name is Tan. His full name is Yeontan. He’s really smart! And he’s really greedy. He finishes his food then tries to eat mine. (laughs) He’s a little naughty.

I was my hair first, then my chest.

Magic to become happy. If I could use magic I’d be really excited. (laughs)

Rather than a superstition, I try to meet my family whenever I have time. It’s really encouraging!

Q. What did you receive recently that made you happy?

Letters from the members. They gave them to me for my birthday.

Q. Your favourite BTS dance?

I love them all but ‘Best of Me’. It’s a song we collaborated with The Chainsmokers for and I love the choreography and the lyrics are great too! We prepared it for our fan meeting so it’s very memorable.

Q. Dogs or cats?

Ah… I can’t decide this. They’re both too cute!

Q. Where do you wash first in the bath?

From my head.

Q. Sweet or spicy food?

Spicy food. I like sweet foods too, but I like spicy foods more.

Q. Early bird or night owl?

It’s not like I’m doing anything in particular, but I seem to be in better condition at night. And work usually tends to happen at night.

Eyedrops. Because I can’t really wake up easily. My eyesight is bad and I have to wear contacts for a long time so I need eyedrops.

Whenever it grows. (laughs) It’s short right now, but I like it long too. The length changes depending on the style I want. I change my hairstyle to match the image of every new album we put out.

There are three things. Blue denim jackets, hoodies, and slightly oversized long T-shirts.

Can I say this…? Just my underwear. No wait, I wear something on top too. Actually, I wear pajamas! (laughs)

I’m like my father in appearance and mother in personality, I think.

I believe they exist. I’ve always loved mysterious surrounding the Earth and space, so I often thought about that kinda stuff. It’s not like something good will happen to me because they exist, but doesn’t the thought of them existing make you happy? (laughs)

Q. Who influenced your dance?

There are so many people. All the Korean senior artists I watched while growing up, Chriss Brown, Usher… countless people!

Q. What’s the hardest BTS dance?

There’s a lot, but if I had to pick three then ‘Best of Me’, ‘Mic Drop’, and ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’. The choreography is difficult and requires a lot of stamina.

Q. Where do you get inspiration for your dance from?

From the artists I watched as I grew up.

Q. Do you give your own input in the dance?

If I had to participate in the choreographing, I’d watch until the dance was completed to a certain amount before doing so. Then I’d look at it and point out what areas needs to be improved or which parts might be a little difficult to dance. I’d participate by giving my own opinions.

Q. Tell us about the time you collaborated with your good friend, SHINee’s Taemin, at the end of year music festival.

We got close these last few years, and in 2016 we had the opportunity to collaborate for an end of year music festival. It was really fun dancing together! I was really excited about as I practiced, wanting to make it a good memory. But our schedules were difficult to match up and we were only able to practice together two hours before the show, which was unfortunate. If we had more time, it might have been more fun.

Question for J-HOPE

Q. Where do you get your dance inspiration from?

Dancing is the act of expression music through your body, so I get the most inspiration from when I’m listening to music. Or rather, in my case, I start to think “How would I express this song through a dance?” and receive inspiration to create a dance that way.

Q. What present were you happy to receive?

The breakfast my mother made for me. There was a big present next to it, but I normally live in the dorm so I can’t always eat her food.

Q. What do you sleep in?

I always sleep in pajamas.

Q. Are you like your mother or father?

My face is like my father and my personality is like my mother.

Q. If you had to liken yourself to an animal?

Sometimes I’m like a chipmunk and sometimes I’m like a horse. (laughs) When I’m cute I’m like a chipmunk but when I’m trying to be cool I think I look like a horse. (laughs)

Q. Do you believe aliens exist?

They do not!

Q. Who influenced your dance?

I used to dance street dance when I was young, so I have a lot of emotional attachment to dance. I also know a lot of dancers. I was part of this dance team called Neuron in my hometown in Gwanju, and I learned how to dance there. When I came to Seoul I learned from a lot of dancers at a dance school called LEVEL 6, but the one that influenced me the most was LOCKING ONG. I was also influenced by Park Eun [not sure of name].

Q. What’s the hardest BTS dance?

The more time passes the more I feel like ‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’ is the hardest. It requires skill and care all the way to your fingertips, and it’s a song that requires acting, so it's very difficult. There are so many important components to it. The maknae line, JIMIN and V and JUNGKOOK, are particularly good at this song, and it’s thanks to them that we can have a good performance. And me as well, of course. (laughs)

Q. Do you sleep well?

I sleep very well. I can fall asleep in about 40 seconds.

Q. Do you have a good sleeping posture?

I don’t know if it’s good or bad, but I have a habit of scratching my body.

I often say “Uuuuuh” when I’m thinking. (laughs)

Q. What kind of album is FACE YOURSELF, releasing in April?

JM: It has the Japanese versions of our Korean songs from LOVE YOURSELF: HER as well as two new original Japanese songs, so please listen to them all.

JH: The original songs are the biggest point. We had fun recording them and the songs are also wonderful so we’d love for everyone to hear them. The songs we’ve released in Korea until now have been re-recorded in Japanese, which gives them a new charm.

V: We’d love for everyone to feel the atmosphere of the new album.

Q. How is it different to your other albums until now?

V: It has our first winter song!

JM: It’s an extension of our Korean album LOVE YOURSELF: HER. I think it became a very unique album.

JH: In that way, it’s a completely different work to our others until now. The album has the theme of directly facing reality and taking Spring Day as an example, spring is the season of new meetings, the time of your life when you’ll stand at a crossroad. Like that, each song holds a different meaning and comes together as an album. I don’t really know what I’m saying anymore (laughs), but at any rate, it’s definitely a really good album!

Q. Tell us your favourite song on the album!

V: Crystal Snow for me. It’s a really great song! The melody and lyrics are wonderful and it’s definitely a song to listen to in winter. Ah, but it’s almost spring so maybe Spring Day!

JM: Crystal Snow for me too. It’s BTS’ first winter song and the song itself is super nice. I think this song would suit the tastes of people in Japan. When I listen to Japanese songs, there are many acoustic songs with a similar feeling to this so it may suit the Japanese landscape and culture. I hope you’ll listen to it at any time! But it’s best to listen to it when you’re alone.

JH: I like Spring Day, it’s perfect for the season we’re in right now. I get the feeling that no matter how much time passes, this song will be repeated a lot. We sang this song with the feeling of wanting someone to stay through the cold winter until the warm spring comes. Ah, that’s my part, by the way. (laughs) Like it says in the lyrics, no matter who you love it’s a song that echoes in the heart.

Q. Were the Japanese lyrics difficult?

V: The Japanese lyrics weren’t difficult. But I had trouble with the recording itself. Since the key was so high. (bitter smile)

JM: The pronunciation and song was a little difficult for me but while I was recording I felt how good the songs were all over again.

JH: In my case—for example with Spring Day especially—the songs required a lot of emotions while singing, so I’m glad I was able to immerse myself into that world even in Japanese without a problem.

Q. Please give a message to the fans who are eagerly waiting for your album!

V: We’d like to proudly tell our ARMY that our 3rd album is coming out. ARMY have probably been waiting for our album. We’re so full of gratitude at how they’ve always been waiting for us and there are two new original songs this time so please love them a lot!

Q. Your popularity around the world has exploded, but what do you think?

JM: We never imagined we’d be so loved. We really want to express our gratitude to the fans who love us, to our ARMY. We’re so grateful we’re not sure how to express these feelings properly, but we’ll work hard to try return as much love as we received back to you.

JH: My honest feelings are something like “Is it possible to be loved by this many people?” (laughs) Especially recently, when I stand in front of everyone I go from “!” to “?”. I give it my all so that I don’t disappoint everyone. I have these thoughts the most when I stand on stage. Going around the world on tour, standing on all sorts of stages, meet all kinds of audiences has really made us feel loved by people from all over the world.

V: Firstly, I’m so happy and so grateful that I’ve received more love than I deserve. That’s how much I can feel everyone’s support, thank you very much.
