I can't get over the fact that in all the myths his in, Thanatos is just a Guy™ trying to do his job and having his day ruined by people like:

- Sisyphus HAD to die but when Thanatos went to collect his soul he tricked him and chained him thus escaping Death

-Alcestis offered her life in exchange for her husband's who fell ill and was about to die but when Thanatos went for her, Hercules fought him and made him leave without Alcestis's soul

-There's a myth? about an old man carrying a heavy jug of water and he called Death, and when Thanatos showed up asking why was he summoned, the old man asked him to help him carry the jug of water because he was tired

No wonder he's seen as brooding and merciless anyone working in customer service can tell you people can be assholes and make your work harder than already is😭😭
