A Supernova (pl.: supernovae or supernovas) — is a powerful and luminous explosion of a star. A supernova occurs during the last evolutionary stages of a massive star, or when a white dwarf is triggered into runaway nuclear fusion. The peak optical luminosity of a supernova can be comparable to that of an entire galaxy before fading over several weeks or months.

Time Enough
Warnings: Angst? Cursing & I didn’t proof read
Word Count: 1,779k
Description: Time. There would always be enough time to tell each other how you felt. At least you had hoped. Time, it seemed would not wait for either one of you.
I blame me listening to Beginning of the End Movement IV by The Newton Brothers for the angst.
Tumblr media
Time, you had realized, had become your real enemy. You never seemed to have enough of it. Every moment that passed you by seemed to go by in blur. Each smile, every laugh and tear, just flowed into each other. It was never enough - any of it. You wanted desperately to hold onto it, clutch it with your bare hands and never let go. To freeze all the moments that you had.
But you couldn’t. Time continues to flow, ebb and bend around you. Every moment felt like your last. And yet, even with that, you couldn’t find it within yourself to tell him. To tell him that he kept all the fear away, brought in the light. Joe Liebgott was your person. The one that through all of it, you could confide in - run to. He was the reason you wanted more time. To freeze it. To stay with until everything else faded into nothing.
You loved him. You loved him more than you thought you could love anyone. But you could never tell him. Not now. You needed to focus on surviving, on finding some way to hold on.
Maybe if you had more time…even then you weren’t sure. You closed your eyes and let time pass around you. The warmth leaving your body, and with it the pain.
If you only had more time…
--------------------------------------------------------------
The sun shone brightly overhead. You closed your eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun as it kissed your skin. You were laying down in a field, basking in the heat. You enjoyed the rare moments in time where it was calm, almost serene. These moments were few and far between - the chatter of the men around you made you smile. Faintly, you could hear Bull Randleman poking fun at Frank Perconte. A chorus of laughter soon followed.
A smile tugged at your own lips, as the sound of bickering continued. The heat suddenly left you, it’s warmth replaced by a shadow.
Opening one eye, you looked up to see Joe Liebgott grinning down at you.
“Do you mind?” you asked, closing both your eyes once more, your smile never leaving your face.
“No, not at all,” he teased. Joe didn’t move one inch, instead his stance relaxing as he stood over you.
You let out a huff, sitting up. “Joe-”
“Alright, alright,” he laughed. Moving to sit next to you, he bumped your shoulder with his own. “What are ya doin’ out here anyways?”
“Well, I was enjoying the sun and some peace and quiet.” You turned to look at him. He feigned shock.
“Me? Ruin your peace and quiet? Never.”
You let out a laugh that only made to broaden his own. Joe Leibgott had wormed his way into your heart. Burrowing himself in there until he belonged to him and only him. It had taken him time, months, years of teasing, arguing, and talks. Talks like this, where everything else drifted away. It was just you and him. Nothing else mattered.
“Joe?”
“Mm?” He hummed, laying himself down on the grass beside you. He closed his eyes now, tucking an arm behind his head. He had a faint smile on his face, a gust of wind tousled his hair in a way that made you want to run your hands through it.
“I got something for you,” you watched as his face lit up. He squinted up at you, the sun creating a glowing silhouette around you. Carefully, you pulled out your gift, enjoying the way his eyes widened.
He sat up quickly, “No, shit,” he laughed gingerly, taking the chocolate candy bar into his hands. “How in the hell did you get this?” He paused, “No, wait, do I want to know?”
You punched him in the arm, “Idiot, Euegene owed me favor. I can just take it back, you know. I’m sure Bill would be a whole lot more grateful for it.”
You didn’t miss the way, Joe’s eyes darkened with annoyance. “You don’t have to be so dramatic,” he replied.
Rolling your eyes, you turned forward.
“Hey,” you turned back to look at him, a look on his face you couldn’t quite place. “Thank you.”
You smiled back, laying back down. Joe followed after you. The both of you remained quiet, enjoying the silence and each others company.
--------------------------------------------------------------
You were freezing, you had never known a cold like this in your life. Bastogne was its own hell. You were only stopping by to help restock supplies for the medics. Your help was needed at the aid station.
Still, your presence did help to lighten the mood for most of the company. George Luz nearly jumped like a small child at the sight of you.
“Finally,” he had said, “something beautiful, I was tired of looking at all these ugly mugs.” His comment, of course, was met by a chorus of groans.
Your feet lead you eventually to Joe. He was huddled in his fox hole, grumbling to himself in annoyance. His eyes caught yours, the frustration leaving his expression, if only for a moment.
“The hell are ya doin’ here?” He grumbled.
“Restock,” you said simply. Shrugging your shoulders. You shifted your weight, Joe had been more short with you lately. You weren’t sure why, what you had done, but it was killing you.
“None of the other nurses could do it?”
You felt almost as if you had been slapped. You knew he was angry at you for some reason, but this?
He must have seen your face. “I just mean that it’s dangerous here, you shouldn’t be here.”
“Because my life matters more than any of the other nurses?” You bit back.
Joe had a look of shock on his face, his jaw tensing as if trying to find the right words to say. “You know damn well you-”
You opened your mouth but nothing came out. Instead a loud crash and explosion rang out around you. You hadn’t realized you had been blown away a good few feet until your body collided with a tree.
All the air in your lungs left you. You could hardly breathe, you weren’t sure if you could move. The only thing you could hear was ringing in your ears.
You tried to blink back all the dirt and soot from your eyes. The trees swaying gently above you, you thought only of Joe - the look on his face. Was he angry with you? You wanted to tell him that the only reason you had come was so you could see for yourself he was okay - that he was alive. Because you loved him, you were in love with him. You just needed the time to say it.
Now? Now you weren’t sure there was any time at all.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck.
No.
No, this wasn’t happening. Not to you, God, not to you.
Joe scrambled his way out of the fox hole, ignoring everyone who screamed at him not to. It was you. It was fucking you.
His whole body went numb as he screamed your name. Shouting it over and over and his eyes scanned the horror around him. He was going to find you. He was going to find you and you were going to be just fine.
You were going to scold him like you always do, give him that teasing look that you reserved only for him. He was going to tell you why he had been ignoring you these last few weeks. Because he couldn’t hide anymore just how in love with you he was. That every time you looked at him, it was like you uncovered a new part of his soul. He was a different person when he was with you, a whole happy schmuck that wanted to spend every waking moment he had with you.
You and he were going to have all the time in the world.
When he finally saw your body sprawled across the snow like a ragdoll, his knees buckled underneath him. With shaky hands he reached forward to touch you, you were like ice.
“Hey, hey, look at me,” Joe whispered with a shaky voice. “Come on, Angel, look at me.” Trembling hands, pushed back the hair on your face. “Please, please look at me,” he choked out.
“Joe,” you gurgled out, coughing blood.
“Oh, fuck, okay, you’re gonna be fine,” he quickly assessed your body, you had a piece of metal in your side, and blood flowing freely from it. Cuts littered your body, but your limbs were intact. “You’re gonna be fine, you hear me?”
“Joe,” you coughed, “I-”
“Save it, please, you can tell me later.” His tear filled eyes searched yours. You didn’t look worried or panicked and Joe was sure what scared him more. “Medic!I need a fucking medic over here!”
“Joe, please,” you were straining, your breathing becoming more labored.
“I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” he cried out.
“‘M not.” You smiled, “I - I-”
“Medic!” He cried out once more.
“I-” you swallowed, “love -”
Joe kissed you, fuck the blood, fuck everything, he kissed you. He felt like a fool for not doing it sooner. He was so damn scared of losing you that he didn’t realize he could actually lose you.
“Joe, Joe you gotta move-”
Eugene Roe forcefully pushed him back. His hands quickly work over your body. He watched your eyes close as Roe pushed the morphine into you.
You were going to be fine. You both had more time. You both would have all the time in the world.
You had to.
You had to.
———————————————————————————
Joe walked along the pavement. The busy streets of San Francisco flowed around him. Time had kept moving around him, slowly and quickly all at once. He thought of easy, of clear blue water in Austria, but mostly he thought of you. He thought of your smile, your easy laughter, everything that made you, you.
He thought of that quiet day you shared. When you had the sun glowing around you like a halo. The sweet chocolate bar you had given him, of the peace he felt when he was with you.
Nothing had ever been the same since he had met you. Nothing would ever be the same after.
After…
“Joe?”
He turned watching you carry a bouquet of flowers towards him. You limped slightly, your breath a bit shallow when you caught up to him. But you were there with him.
“I got those,” he said simply, kissing you on the cheek.
After, there would never be an after you. There was only you and him- and time. As much time as you could steal.

Bloom, a DMAU oneshot
Aching. That was the only word to properly describe the sensation, a deep ache burrowing itself into his bones. Pain bloomed in his chest, sending spikes of pain to his head.
The morning sun blossomed out, sending blooming rays cascading down onto the surface of the earth, shining into his squinted eyes, worsening the thumping headache that only grew as seconds dragged into minutes. Time stood still, speeding and slowing at the same time, a sickening nausea formed in the pit of his stomach.
Brightly colored blue and yellow halos outlined and shone onto the blurry forms he could make out. A loud rhythm hummed in his ears, clouding his head and blocking out any sound.
He wasn’t sure how long it had been. A few minutes? A few hours? He didn’t know. The world seemed to fade in and out, one second there were blurred forms around him, voices he couldn’t quite make out, the next he was drifting into nothingness, indescribable shapes and colors surrounding him and pressing in on his form, suffocating any rational thoughts.
He felt a soft hand press against his forehead, burrs of pain radiating from the point of contact, gone within an instant.
Hushed murmurs enveloped him, he didn’t know what they were saying. Were they talking to him? Were they even real? From consuming nothingness, he felt a pressure on his chest, suddenly making him sickeningly aware of the incredibly slow thumping that permeated his being.
Vaguely, he could make out something being waved in front of his face. The hushed murmurs were getting louder, notes of what he could discern as concern were now sowed into their voices.
This was real. The presence of another beside him was unmistakable, as was the sensation of another hand wrapped around his own.
Words of what he only assumed could be of comfort were uttered. Whilst he couldn’t tell what exactly was being said… he did feel comforted. A deep calm enveloped him, surrendering himself to the overwhelming heaviness that pressed on him from every direction, forcing him to give into it.
The pain began to fade, being replaced by the oppressive nothingness.
.
.
.
In what could only truly be described as a burning flashbang that jolted him back to the blinding pain, but this time, he could make out what was happening.
A bitter taste that burned his taste buds filled his mouth, his face scrunching in the apparent discomfort. But… he could see what was happening now. Blurry shapes shifted and formed into a coherent image. People. A worried face, another face of what he could describe as… disappointment?
His body ached, and he found himself lying on grass that prickled his body, the sensation of wetness from dew from the previous night stung his skin, burrowing into his matted fur. The blinding pain melted away, being replaced with the still palpable deep ache. And yet, he was here. He was alive. And god, he had never been happier to be so.

The room was hollow yet imposing, as if the walls were made of solid stone and stretched for leagues. Flickering candles illuminated its contours, adding an eerie quality to the opulence of the mahogany furniture and heavy tapestries. In areas where shadows lurked deepest in the chamber, mythical creatures seemed to move like ghosts in a faint fog, ever out of reach. At the far end, an ornate fireplace filled the room with warmth, while in the center lay Prince Aemond Targaryen's bed. It was large and majestic, boasting fine silk sheets and a down-filled mattress, surrounded by exotic objects that glowed like spectres in the night.
A painting of a woman with long white hair and crown stars perched atop her head hung on the wall like a menacing reminder of days long gone. She was draped in a rusted wine gown and stared out from the painting with an emotionless, yet weary gaze. Her white eyebrows were knitted together as if she were about to unleash some indescribable fury on whoever had painted her. He had never heard any tales about the painting; but he swore, it seemed to have been there even before he was born. It watched him intently, like a dark sentinel guarding his chamber. He had taken to referring to the woman as the "Princess of Sorrows".
As he sat there in the shadows, pouring through ancient books telling the Targaryen family's stories, Aemond felt a frosty chill ripple down his spine. Occasionally he had the sense that secretive eyes were watching him, and then he'd have to hold his breath until the sensation faded away. Even though his dread was mounting, Aemond never spoke of it out loud. He feared doing so would only manifest its presence further. It was on one of those nights when the moon shone brightly, that Aemond swore he saw a silhouette in the corner of his eye turning the page of a book. His heart skipped a beat as he jumped to his feet armed with a sword, but the figure had suddenly vanished, leaving behind the whisper of skirts. He stayed still waiting for its return, but nothing stirred. Was it all just his overactive imagination? No one could tell.
The next morning, he hesitantly dispatched one of his guards to scour the palace. But not a single one among the thousand women living there resembled the figure he thought he had seen. He was now more certain than ever that his chambers were haunted, yet still afraid to accept it and acknowledge his fear of the dead. Evening after evening, he sent the guard back again and kept his hand firmly grasping his sword. Days passed, yet nothing changed: Alone in the chamber, the Princess of Sorrows seemed lost within her thoughts...and then suddenly, as soon as he started feeling at ease, he'd catch a glimpse of her again. He was determined to unravel this mystery that was plaguing him, but didn't know how to proceed. He kept his guard close by and searched for any other signs of her presence - all in vain.
Finally, after weeks of haunted nights, Aemond had had enough. He gave the silent command and all his guards began their search anew, combing every inch of the palace for any sign of something out of place. But nothing emerged. Defeated and discouraged, they returned to Aemond but he seemed unfazed by the lack of results. He still felt that something was lurking in the dark shadows, hidden from his sight. He kept a keen eye on every corner as he patrolled with his sword, when suddenly one night he spotted something strange darting away from him. Instantly he leapt into action and charged after this mysterious being, running through the darkened halls in pursuit.
As he ran, he felt a surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins, his heart beating wildly in his chest. He had no idea what he was chasing, but he was determined to catch it. The sound of his own footsteps echoed through the halls, and he felt the cool night air whipping past his face. His mind was racing, trying to anticipate his prey's moves. It was then that he saw her again: the Princess of Sorrows, darting ahead of him like a wraith, her crimson gown fluttering behind her.
He took off like a raging bull, stampeding through the castle without regard for consequence. She ran with grace and agility, always managing to stay one step ahead of him. His lungs burned and his heart pounded as he pressed on, determined to catch her this time. Time seemed to stand still as he lurched around corner after corner, hearing nothing but her echoing laughter in response. Eventually, she came to a dead end near his chambers and before she could turn tail and flee, he had her cornered.
He charged towards her, sword swinging. Stopping just short of her, he could feel the heat radiating off her. Her long white hair framed an angelic face, illuminated in the orange light of the torches. Her eyes were like galaxies, dark and deep with a sorrow that seemed to tear through him. She wore a gown of blood-red silk, and in her hands, she grasped a rose as white as snow. Aemond stood frozen in time; mesmerized by this beautiful apparition.
Aemond stood there, his breath caught in his throat as he gazed upon her beauty. He had been taught to fear this entity, but she seemed almost...human. He reached for the sword at his side and found it forgotten. "My... Lady?" he said, not sure what title would be appropriate for such a mysterious figure. The Princess of Sorrows met his gaze with a small, yet pained smile before disappearing back into the mist. Anger boiled within Aemond's veins as he marched back into his chamber, eyes fixed on the portrait of this wretched princess - her face still contorted in pain and anger.
The days seemed to fly by in a frenzied fever, yet the nights crept past with an agonizing slowness. Aemond yearned for the darkness; unable to sleep as he waited for her to appear. He was up before the sun, lost in thought in the shadows of his chamber, desperate for any sign of her presence. Though scared and uncertain, she had him in an unbreakable spell - he couldn't shift his gaze from her as they shared their clandestine tete-a-tetes.
He started to notice delicate shifts in her gestures - the way she'd linger in front of a painting as if it were speaking to her, or gaze out of the window with an enigmatic expression. He realized then that this mysterious creature had feelings like his own, and emotions and thoughts he could barely comprehend.
Aemond found himself captivated by the woman's delicate figure, her perfectly coiffed hair and petite features. Every time he saw her from afar, his heart raced as he walked closer to her in order to get a better look. He opened his mouth each time, but his courage failed him and she seemed to sense it; she quickly faded away like a phantom into the shadows, leaving Aemond perplexed and dejected.
In desperation, Aemond ventured out into King's Landing’s most notorious street - Flea Bottom - seeking out mystical knowledge from an old witch who gave him a spell that will trap any ghost in place if used correctly. Armed with newfound knowledge Aemond returned back to his chambers determined to get closer to the Princess of Sorrows and uncover the secrets that surrounded this captivating creature who had stolen his heart without even uttering a single word.
Aemond cast the spell within his chambers and sure enough, the Princess of Sorrows appeared before him looking less translucent than she had been previously. Her features were clearer, her skin more visible and her eyes filled with a mysterious and deep emotion. Aemond was taken aback at this new transformation; he had never seen the ghostly figure looking so lifelike. She stood there in her usual red gown and her touch was cold and clammy. It made Aemond's skin crawl whenever she got too close to him.
The Princess turned to Aemond, her gaze filled with sadness as if something inside of her was crying out for help "Why did you trap me?" she asked him. He could not bring himself to answer, instead he asked: "Why are you haunting me? What do you want from me?" The princess’s expression softened and she replied: "Your death is near, I only wanted to warn you."
Aemond felt his heart break at those words - the ghostly figure seemed almost too familiar now. He took a step closer to her, desperate for answers yet still wary of what he might uncover. The Princess watched him curiously but said nothing - it was clear that she would not offer any more information until Aemond answered her own question first.
Aemond inhaled sharply, his face grim. "I trapped you because I wanted to find out your secrets," he uttered darkly, his voice like a whisper in the night. His hungry gaze bore into hers and her heart raced. Slowly she nodded, her eyes never leaving his. "Yes," she murmured softly. "There is much more hidden underneath my surface than meets the eye - mysteries only time will unravel. But I cannot tell you now."
Aemond felt his heart breaking as she uttered the words. He had been so certain that she would be able to bring him the answers he so desperately sought. Yet here she was, still refusing to tell him what it was that she seemed to know. How could someone be so secretive and why? His voice betraying his emotion, Aemond asked again, "Please, just tell me what you're keeping from me! What are you hiding?"
The Princess of Sorrows sighed heavily, her shoulders sagging, tears welling up in her eyes. "There are things in this world that are better left unsaid," she replied cryptically. "Things that would only bring more pain and heartache if they were revealed."
Aemond frowned, not satisfied with her answer. He took a step closer to her, his eyes searching hers. "Please," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Help me understand. I am willing to listen, no matter what the cost."
The Princess of Sorrows hesitated for a moment before finally nodding her head. "Very well," she said, her voice eerily calm. "But be warned, you might pay dearly for it, dear Prince."
Aemond felt a shiver run down his spine at her words, but he didn't falter. He was determined to learn the truth, no matter what it might cost him. "I'm ready," he said, his voice steady.
The Princess of Sorrows sighed as she prepared to tell her story. "We had a love that was forbidden," she said, her voice quivering with emotion. "It was passionate and fiery, yet we managed to keep it hidden from those who would have forbidden us. But our luck did not last. They found out and I was forced into marriage while he...he was put to death." Her voice trailed off as tears spilled down her face.
Aemond listened in stunned silence, his heart breaking for the pain and suffering this woman had endured. He could see the pain etched into her features, the sorrow in her eyes. "Who was your husband?" he asked softly, knowing that he was treading on dangerous ground.
The Princess of Sorrows hesitated before finally replying. "He was your ancestor," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "He was a Targaryen prince, just like you."
Aemond felt his world come crashing down around him. He had always been proud of his family's history, of their legacy. But now...now he felt tainted, stained by the sins of his ancestors.
"Who was he?" he asked again, his voice barely above a whisper.
The Princess of Sorrows looked at him with a sad smile. "Maegor was my brother," she said softly. "And my husband."
Aemond felt a wave of nausea wash over him.
He stumbled back, his mind reeling with the revelation. "How...how could this be?" he whispered, his voice trembling. "And what of you?" he asked, his voice soft. "What happened to you after you were forced into marriage?"
The Princess of Sorrows let out a bitter laugh as she wiped away her tears. "I was never truly alive after that," she said, her voice hollow. "I tried to make the best of my situation, but every day was a struggle. My husband was cruel and abusive, and I spent most of my days trying to avoid him. But eventually, I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to be free, to escape the pain and suffering that had become my life. And so, I did the only thing I could do - I jumped from my dragon and ended it all."
Aemond felt a lump form in his throat as he listened to her tragic tale. He couldn't imagine what it must have been like for her, to have lived through such pain and torment. "I'm so sorry," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I had no idea."
The Princess of Sorrows gave him a sad smile. "It's alright," she said softly. "You couldn't have known. But now that you do, you must pay the price."
Aemond felt a chill run down his spine at her words. "What price?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The Princess of Sorrows looked at him with a steely gaze. "You must be my lover," she said, her voice cold and firm. "And you must die."
Aemond felt his entire being freeze. Time seemed to stop as he heard her words. He couldn't process the meaning, but before he could act on his confusion, he felt the Princess of Sorrows grab him and pull him close. Her eyes were intense and mesmerizing, trapping him in their embrace. Slowly, she leaned towards him and pressed her lips against his. Aemond felt an indescribable sensation course through every inch of his body. It was a strange combination of pain and pleasure, as though something was being taken from him, some essence that he had never known existed until now, flowing gently from him into her.
Early next morning, two guards stumbled upon the lifeless body of Aemond on his grandiose bed. His mouth was agape, his eyes still open in horror as if he had seen a ghost. The maester pronounced him dead due to a mysterious heart failure that was brought about by some unknown force. Despite performing several tests, the maester could not find any clarity as to what had caused Aemond's demise.
Viserra's portrait hung above them, no longer frowning angrily but grinning widely instead. Despite the cheerful canvas painting, the mood in the room was somber as they all mourned Aemond's death; a death that had brought about by one woman's hard-fought desire for freedom after years of agony and servitude. No one noticed the strange smile cast down upon them or how it seemed to cast an ominous feeling around the gathering. Shrouded in grief, each person gathered in this chamber lost in their own sorrow and despair; unable to comprehend what had happened and why it had been allowed to occur.

---------------
“Isn't it beautiful!” Beomgyu called out towards you, the natural glitter on his cheeks shining brightly. He looked like he could rival the sun. He was truly in his element. This moment made you reminisce on how the two of you had come to meet.
The two of you had met two years ago, deep inside the forest just next to your home. You hadnt moved in recently or anything but you didnt go outside much anymore. The forest always scared you, it felt alive. Something about it kept you away. That was until one year while your family was off on a trip, you had stepped out to tend to their garden for them.
But when you looked towards the forest, there was something blue and glowing in front of you. It was about the size of a water bottle and just floated in front of you. It looked like blue fire and it caught your attention. Something about it was so enticing that you found yourself walking towards it without much thought.
Once close enough to touch it, you reached out to curiously tap the little blue flame. As soon as your finger went to make contact with the little blue wisp it disappeared, causing you to jump back a bit. Confusion took over you as you glanced around before spotting another one, this time closer to the forest. Once again, it was like it was calling your name.
“Y/n… y/n come here..”
It whispered, sounding far away and all around you all at the same time. Mesmerized, you once again began following the wisp. Yet again as soon as you were close enough to touch it, it disappeared and reappeared somewhere else. You let a small smile spread across your lips as you followed the wisps deeper and deeper into the forest. The sun shone on the leaves, giving them a shiny glow on the dew.
Once inside the forest there was a whistling sound to your left, causing you to snap your head over and look. That's when you realized how deep you were in the forest. That you were definitely lost. Suddenly the whistling picked back up again to your right, causing you to turn towards it again. What is going on? You knew there was always something off about the forest.
“Hello?” You asked cautiously, eyes still scanning the trees. A twinkle of laughter rang out in the deep of the trees at your voice. It sounded like whatever or whoever it was is just circling you, the sounds constantly moving.
“Are you lost? You shouldn't have followed the wisps.” A honey-like voice whispered into your ear. You whipped around out of fear, how had someone gotten so close? Before realizing nobody was there. What the hell?
“Who.. who are you? What's going on?” You spoke up nervously, now not able to stand still. You continuously turned to make sure nobody could sneak up on you. This is why you didn't trust the forest, it was like it was alive.
Then finally, you saw a figure in the trees. You stopped to watch the figure nervously before seeing a man walk out of the shadowed area. He was wearing a dirty gray hoodie, the thing having rips and the colors washed and faded like it had been sitting in the sun for years. He wore equally dirty jeans only without the rips that the hoodie donned. His hoodie was halfway unzipped, hanging off his left shoulder. He was undeniably beautiful, a coy smile on his lips and flowers following wherever he stepped.
“You're lost aren't you? You shouldn't be here.” The man spoke as he continued to approach you. There was something inhuman about him even if he seemed like a normal person. You took a cautious step back, which caused him to stop.
“Do you talk at all, little human?” He egged you on, head tilting with his question. Although it seemed like more of a teasing comment than genuine question. Wait, little human? Was he not human?
“What do you mean by little human?” You countered with furrowed brows, refusing to take your eyes off of him. Laughter bubbled up from his chest at your words, his eyes crinkling.
“Oh, you don't know? Isn't it obvious?” He laughed, you couldn't read him. What were his intentions? “The forest is alive.. Do you not know of the tales? Of faes, gnomes, and elves?”
You just continued to stare at him with a confused look. What in the world was he talking about? Sure the forest felt off but there was no way it was truly alive like you worried. Those were all fairy tale creatures, not real things.
“Wow.. you really are clueless!” He exclaimed with another laugh. “You should really be glad I found you before the elves.” He continued as he began approaching you again.
“Well then c’mon human, I'll bring you out of the forest. Maybe now you can read up about the creatures here before you offend the wrong person.” He started as he walked past you, turning to look at you and wait for you to follow.
“Why should I just blindly follow you? What even are you?” You questioned. You didn't want to follow this random man, especially not after he confirmed he wasn't human. Sure he was undeniably ethereal but he could be leading you to your death for all you know.
The man just smiled another beautiful smile at you, turning to fully face you. “Now why would I trick you, i've been kind so far.” He responded with a fake pout. You didn't trust him. Did you even come from the direction he was facing?
“Just come, we can talk along the way.” He continued to encourage you to follow him and honestly, what else could you do? He could kill you here or bring you to another spot of your demise, or you could take the gamble and maybe be taken home.
“...Fine” You gave in, walking towards him with an obviously apprehensive look. He just smiled in response and turned around to begin walking.
“Follow me then!” He called out, glancing back once more before a mischievous smile spread onto his face and he began to run. He expertly hopped over roots and easily navigated the forest, practically disappearing into the woods.
“Shit, wait if you want me to follow!” You exclaimed, eyes widening as you processed for a second before running after him in the direction he went. Something about him was so alluring. Perhaps you were being stupid, so easily fooled by a pretty boy with a honey voice but what else could you do? At least he gave you a chance of getting home.
The twinkles of his laughter kept you going somewhat in the right direction for a few minutes until you were panting, slowing down a bit. Suddenly you noticed the silence around you which brought you to a stop. The sun was beginning to set around you, the forest darker than it had been when you first entered.
“Boo!” Sounded from right next to your ear after almost a minute of silence, ripping a scream out of your throat as you jumped back to see the same man again right behind you.
“What the fuck!” You cried out, hand on your chest as he just laughed at your fear. He was practically doubled over and honestly his laughter was like music to your ears.
“Sorry, sorry. It's in my nature.” He said in between giggles before straightening back up. “Let's continue, I won't run this time.”
You didn't understand what he meant by it being in his nature, but you just nodded while slightly glaring at him. You were getting annoyed but didn't say anything. He also didn't seem to care whatsoever, still smiling as he began to walk like he had promised.
You followed him somewhat closely, not wanting to lose him again in the forest. It was silent as the two of you traveled together, just the sound of birds and crickets filling the air.
The two of you walked for what felt like centuries before suddenly your foot caught on something, causing you to tumble and fall with a yelp. Instead of catching you, the man watched with a snort and giggle while covering his mouth. You looked up at him from your spot on the ground to see his foot extended where you had fallen.
“What was that for you asshole?” You had a frown on your face as he just giggled, outstretching a hand to offer to help you up even though he had been the one to trip you.
“Couldn't help it, you were getting too comfortable.” He snorted. You didn't understand why that made him trip you though, but you were beginning to notice a pattern in his trickster tendencies.
“Whatever.” You grumbled before hesitantly going to take his offered hand before he yanked it away. You glared at him as he laughed again before offering it to you a second time. You just stared at him for a few seconds before reaching out for his hands once again, this time he didn't pull it away. Easily, he pulled you up into a standing position.
“Just a bit farther, human.” He stated simply as he then didn't release his hold on you, beginning to pull you along with him. What the hell?
“Let go of me.” You demanded with furrowed brows but he just shook his head and continued on.
“Nope! You're funny when you're mad. That and the woodland creatures get antsy at night.” He replied and didn't explain any further. That caused you to notice how it really was getting dark, only a bit of the sun still up. With the idea of the woodland creatures targeting you, you let up and let him hold your hand.
“So, the wisps brought you here right? Wonder why they waited so long. Usually humans are brought in as children.” The man spoke simply as you two walked, glancing at you for a response. You didnt really want to talk to him as he made you nervous, but there was also something in you that wanted to converse with him. It wanted him to be fond of you.
“I didnt go outside much as a kid. The forest scared me.” You replied after a few seconds which made him snort.
“Really? You were already afraid? Thats new.”
“Why do the wisps bring children?” You then pushed, getting curious. None of this made sense.
“Do you not know the story of wisps?” He asked and watched as you shook your head. With a playful roll of his eyes he began talking.
“The wisps can be little faeries or spirits from a creature or a human's past life. They lead wanderers and unsuspecting humans to treasure or to their demise. It fully depends on the wisps you meet as some are more malicious than the others. Some wisps that were human like leading people to good things but it doesn't happen often. Really they lead you to your fate.” He explained, not sparing you a single glance.
“How does that correlate with them bringing children?” You decided to ask, still curious.
“Human children are gullible and easy to influence. They're used for things like servants, lovers, given to the devil, used for entertainment, and more. Really they could be used for a multitude of things depending on the creature.”
“Oh.” You said with wide eyes. None of those options sounded anywhere near ideal, how does all of this happen with nobody knowing? Then you remembered all the story books and things you've written off and fake and made up. Now youre realizing just how real those mythical stories are.
“What's your name, human?” He then suddenly asked, looking over at you. Something about the question felt wrong and it felt like the forest stilled. Something in you screamed at you to not answer.
“..(your nickname)” You finally replied hesitantly which made him smile and his eyes glinted with interest.
“You're smarter than I expected.” He hummed before facing forward again. You don't really know what you just avoided, but it must've been something important with how he reacted.
“Are you really taking me back? It's been a while.” You spoke up around ten more minutes later as you squint your eyes at him. You were beginning to feel more and more lied to, it didn't take you this long to enter the forest.
“Yes, (nickname) I am. I cannot lie so you'll be home eventually.” He responded. “The forest can be unpredictable and moves, you came in much deeper than you realize. Just a bit longer and you'll be home.”
All of this was so weird and confusing, all of this mythical forest shit about the forest being alive. But true to his words five minutes later the edge of the forest began to appear. You saw the lights inside of the house shining through the trees which made you smile. Finally!
“Now, now (nickname) before I let you go, let's talk a bit.” The man suddenly said, tightening his hold on your hand and keeping you with him. You furrowed your brows once again and tried to pull your hand away but he was relentlessly strong. You suddenly remembered that he was truly a mythical creature you didn't understand or know anything about.
“Now that I've helped you out, you're in debt to me. So get ready to see me around a lot. You're interesting so I'll stick around.” He began with an almost serious look before smiling. “You should feel honored that I even let you live! I'm a fae after all, look it up once you're back inside.”
Your eyes widened at his words, you were indebted to some mythical woodland creature? That couldn't be good. Hell what if he made you some kind of servant later on? You were fucked. You instantly made a mental note to read up on faes and see what he was talking about, you had assumed he was a somewhat harmless creature.
“Now off you go! Ill see you around human.” He finally released your hand and lifted up his other to wave at you. But once he began to take a step back you took a step towards him, surprising even yourself.
“Wait! What's your name?” You asked, watching him intently. You somewhat understood that it was something important to know names but you also just wanted something to refer to him as seeing as you would see him around.
“Hmm.. you can call me Gyu for now, human.” He replied after a few seconds of consideration. Soon after saying it he smiled before disappearing further into the trees. You stood there and stared until his gray hoodie could no longer be seen.
Finally you turned around and walked back to your house, honestly a bit quickly. What had just happened? Seriously what the hell.
As soon as you were inside you closed and locked the door behind you, just staring forward as you processed. The forest was really alive? It didnt feel real, none of that did. Had you been out there for hours? It hadnt felt horribly long but you were out there long enough for the afternoon sun to set.
Deciding to take up the man, now dubbed Gyu’s advice you immediately went to the computer in your fathers workspace. You stayed up all that night researching the woodland creatures that you used to see as just stupid fairytales. It caused you to realize how lucky you really were to get out of that situation alive. It also made you way more wary for the time to come, now knowing that you were indebted to a fae.

Christmas Poem
T'was a night very dark and dim,
The wind did wail and howl,
the seas did roar with fury grim,
And mournful sang the owl.
Dark clouds cloaked the starry skies,
Hindering heaven’s light,
The air was rent with sorrowful cries
That split the dreary night.
But then the wailing wind was stilled,
The awful storm did cease,
And all things on earth were filled
With a strange yet wondrous peace.
In amaze Men paused to listen,
But for what they did not know,
And wonder in their eyes did glisten
like moonlight on the snow.
Then there stirred in every mortal heart
A whisper, small and still,
Yet it pierced the soul like a fiery dart
And with wonder their hearts did fill.
Then suddenly the silence was broken
with a sound sweeter than song of bird,
for in darkness a light was awoken
and a baby’s cry was heard.
The dim-lit roads of Bethlehem
Echoed softly with that sound,
Of the newborn child of David’s stem,
And about the streets it wound.
The dark clouds faded and fled away,
And the skies were suddenly rent
With radiant light whose heavenly ray
Pierced the firmament.
Twas a star that shone in heaven high,
And Men marveled at the sight
And gazed ever upwards to the sky
Whence came that unearthly light.
And in the distance, a celestial song
from high above came streaming
like rain upon the earth, the throng
of Heaven was heard singing.
Over all the marveling world
Sang the countless, holy legions,
and their white banners they unfurled
Over all the earthly regions.
Those angels’ song like dawn burst forth,
Sure and strong and true,
To the East, the West, the South, the North,
And like a wind it blew.
In blessed music the earth is drenched,
and all desires, cares and fears,
are in one single moment quenched
as that song reaches Men’s ears.
Oh, what marvelous, divine splendor
In those angels’ hymns of delight
did pour out over all, so tender,
In glory pure and bright!
The sorrowing earth sighs with relief,
Then laughs loudly for joy,
Breaking forth into tears, not of grief,
But happiness, for that boy,
that boy, O Jesus Christ the Lord,
the Great Immanuel,
O Child Divine, O Prince adored,
Born on earth to dwell,
To dwell among the Children of God,
And to redeem them from the Fall,
to bow beneath justice's rod,
to at last save us all.
Then at last the children weary
Fall into blissful sleep
And dream of light and places cheery
In slumber buried deep.
And high above the star still streamed
upon the tranquil earth below.
Proudly it still brightly beamed
in defiance of mankind’s foe.
And then the voice was heard once more
Still and small yet clear,
And glad tidings that angel bore
in starry midnight sheer:
“Lift up your head, be of good cheer,
For behold, the time is at hand.
For Heaven’s Prince of Peace so dear
Has descended to mortal land.
A Light, brighter than any star
In a world long marred with sin,
The Son of God is born in lands afar
To save his earthly kin.
On this night is Jesus born,
The Lord of all Creation!
Weep no longer, no longer mourn
For here is Man’s Salvation!”
And thus on that marvelous night
In Bethlehem, House of Bread,
Christ was born, the Living Light,
To save both living and dead.
The veil between heaven and earth was torn
As with a shining, sharpened sword
On the night that He was born,
At the coming of the Lord.
Sing to our Lord praises undying
With the songs that angels sing,
For in that lowly manger was lying
Earth and Heaven’s King.
“On this night is Jesus born,
The Lord of all Creation!
Weep no longer, no longer mourn
For here is Man’s Salvation!”

As the two let go of each other, both Starlight and Sunburst sighed deeply, and turned to look from whence the voice came to find Eclipse trotting towards them, apparently oblivious to their embrace, as well as the fact that Starlight was wearing her friends' cloak; and when they got close, Eclipse said they had possibly found multiple tuned crystals, and they wondered whether they had found any.
Nigh stunned into silence by either their unbelievable obliviousness or carelessness, they knew not which, Sunburst shook his head, and said that they had not found anything as of yet, but they would keep looking, by themselves; but although he greatly emphasised these final words, making Starlight chuckle quietly, his comment soared high over Eclipse's head, as they offered to help with a smile.
With a warm smile to her dearest friend, Starlight nodded as she got up from their embrace, wearing Sunburst's cloak over her back, and told Eclipse that it would be wise to stay split up, since this would give them a greater chance of finding crystals over all searching in the same place; and as a pensive look grew upon Eclipse's face, Starlight winked to Sunburst, who smiled lovingly in return.
To their great relief, Eclipse started to nod as they turned around again, and told themselves that Starlight had a point, whereafter Starlight added that they would remember to meet when a shower of colours covered the fields, despite not knowing what this meant; but as Sunburst gently grabbed her hoof, and laid his head on hers, any of her confusion or concerns faded, and she sighed peacefully.
And though both Starlight and Sunburst noticed a lingering feeling of guilt within them, as neither of the two were helping to find tuned crystals, it was nigh unnoticeable, and since they had helped so much already, they had earned this moment of peace; and they smiled and blushed brightly as they embraced each other, but did not speak for a while, hoping the other knew how much they loved them.
But the silence did not last long, as Starlight and Sunburst both quietly whispered to the other at the exact same time, chuckling as they struggled to work out who should speak first, which only led to them interrupting each other more often; and eventually, wearing grand smiles and bright blushes upon their faces, they sweetly looked at each other, and lovingly told one another they loved them.
For a mere moment, they knew not whether they were more impressed by their perfect synchronisation, or the array of countless colours that suddenly brightened up the fields when the Sun sunk past the Mountains; but sitting under the rainbows that shone from the spire of the Crystal Castle, and that flowed like water over the fields, Sunburst and Starlight warmly held each other, and kissed again.
This time, however, when they opened their eyes again, for a brief moment, they did notice the tiny sparks that flew off their horns, and they smiled, and laughed, yet Starlight nor Sunburst told the other of their identical idea to further investigate this event; but as the waves of colour started to fade, after Starlight gave Sunburst back his cloak, they got up, and hurried back to the others.
Fortunately, the rest of the group arrived at the exact same time, completely in the dark about the strengthened relationship between the two childhood friends, whereafter they collectively headed to the first marked point; but when Sunburst asked Nox about how many crystals they would need for her plan, she admitted it would depend on the purity, the size, and clarity of the crystals they found.
A few moments later, Celestia proudly pointed to a small, glowing seal she had placed on the ground where she and Eclipse saw a gap in their sight, whereafter they cast the spell again, and confirmed they had found something; and though it was buried deep, the dirt it was moved with ease when every present being cast their magic on it, and moments later, Celestia picked up a dirt-covered crystal.
When she uncovered the crystal, a familiar draining feeling once again flowed over the group…

Self Ship Valentines - Day 7
Prompt: “How it all started”
Description: It’s hard to pinpoint when you fall in love. But, truthfully, Edelgard wonders if she’d simply been in love since the moment she laid eyes upon her love.
Warning: I. couldn’t resist I’m sorry IT’S EDELWEN ANGST;;;; I’M FEELING GAY BUT LIKE. AAAAAAAAAAA THIS CONCEPT HAUNTS MEEEEE THE TASTY TRAGEDY MAN;;;;;; I KNOW THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE CUTE BUT I WENT OFF THE RAILS BRO
Anyway. Warning here for character death, sad vibes. unrequited love, and a touch of gore. Nothing absurd, just from the chara death.
She’d heard rumours about the princess; the one from the land in the far north, above even Faerghus on an island, yet remained connected with the mainland of Fódlan proper. Edelgard had heard much of her, from her looks to her personality and smile, but she just brushed it off for quite some time as simple biases. A country bragging about their royal, and nothing more than that.
But then... then Edelgard saw her in the officer’s academy.
The leader of the Pink Butterflies house, brown hair tied up in a long, fluffy braid laying over one shoulder. Her pink cape fluttered behind her in the breeze, and her laugh carried on the wind like a melody. Her smile haunted Edelgard’s memory; and when she asked Hubert who that woman was, it suddenly all made sense when he said it was Serentir’s princess.
Perhaps that was the first moment; perhaps that was when Edelgard had fallen in love with her.
But more time passed; and then, Edelgard got to know more of her.
Bronwen spoke gently and kindly, but her beliefs and desire to make the land better shone brightly. Like a flame guiding the way in the darkest night, Edelgard could see that spark in her eye; the two could be open and honest. Bronwen smiled and encouraged Edelgard to make a better world- to strive for the future she sought. Bronwen held Edelgard’s hands as she said it, voice so soft and kind.
“You can do it, Edie. You’re capable of incredible things.... you can make the future you seek.”
Perhaps that was the moment, as those words escaped into the open air, and Edelgard felt her heart catch in her throat at Bronwen’s touch.
But even more time went by, and they spent days relaxing between classes and other work during those quiet days. Edelgard would let Bronwen lay her head in her lap, the two cloud watching and swapping stories. Bronwen would joyfully tell her about the various ideas she’d scribbled on to paper for fictional tales to tell. All types of stories, from adventure, to tragedy, to romances. Bronwen babbling on about her hope for a love like those she wrote about stuck in Edelgard’s head, wondering how she could set up a confession that would measure up to Bronwen’s writings.
Running her finger’s through Bronwen’s hair as the princess fell asleep, Edelgard wondered if that was the moment that she fell in love.
Then there was in the heat of battle, as they fought off bandits for an assignment, Edelgard was nearly struck by a bandit’s sword. But Bronwen had, without a thought in her mind, dove in front of her; taking a blow across the arm as she fended off the man with her magic. Edelgard remembered the rush of panic, the flurry of words as she then hurried Bronwen back to the monastery for treatment.
Perhaps it was that moment instead, feeling as if she nearly lost Bronwen, when Edelgard fell in love.
Perhaps, instead, each of those moments was but a single piece of a puzzle, forming together, slowly and carefully, into a deep feeling that couldn’t be properly put into words.
But, despite not being able to track the beginning of her love for the queen in pink, Edelgard could trace the moment of heartbreak to now.
Bronwen’s relic, the sword known as Caledfwlch, was the one buried in her stomach. The warmth of her blood spilled out on to the stones below, pooling beneath her body as the life slowly faded from her form. Bronwen, even despite having done the act that ended the war, was in tears as she helped Edelgard lay down. A comfortable rest- at least, as much as one could be while fading away- with the woman she loved looking down at her with sadness in her eyes.
“Edie.... I’m sorry.” Bronwen whispered, that voice Edelgard loved so much now filled with despair. “I’m sorry. I didn’t want to. I... I didn’t want it to end this way. But I can’t... I can’t betray them. I can’t.”
Edelgard forced all her strength into her arm, bloody hand cupping Bronwen’s cheek.
“You.... have an engagement ring on.” Edelgard remarked, voice but a whisper. “Who... who is it?”
Bronwen hesitated. But she tilted her hand, showing the ring; it had an unmistakable crest. In an instant, Edelgard knew exactly who it was. So.... that was the one who had taken Bronwen’s heart.
Was this pain from the wound, or from how her heart was shattering in her chest?
“I... I see.” She replied, “I.... I wish...”
Bronwen shushed her as Edelgard let out a groan of pain, trying to stop the empress from moving. “Please... don’t make this harder on yourself. I hate that i had to do this, Edie. I never wanted to hurt you. I just.... I just wanted everyone to be friends.”
Friends.... yes. A beautiful thing; friendship. But, it wasn’t all she had wanted. From Bronwen, she wanted something else.
“Ah.... but.... that couldn’t.... be so, little dove.” Edelgard coughed, keeping her pale lavender eyes focused upon Bronwen’s face, “Even if... we were on... the same side.”
Bronwen choked back a sob, “Why not, Edie? We could have still been friends... looking at the clouds together.”
Edelgard shook her head, basking in the warmth of Bronwen’s cheek in her hand. One of the only things keeping her grounded.
“I wouldn’t... I wouldn’t have... the heart.” She replied, voice growing softer with each fading breath, “But.... I hope... for one thing.”
Bronwen gripped Edelgard’s hand tighter. “What is it?”
Edelgard’s grip began to slip, her hand starting to fall.
“I hope... she loves you.... as much... as I do.”
With those words, the last of the life in Edelgard’s body slipped away; leaving her limp against the stone. Bronwen was frozen, the empress’ blood painting her cheek as she remained static. Bronwen heard Dimitri step closer, silent as the empty battlefield around them. His hand on her shoulder wasn’t enough to break her from her trance, staring at Edelgard’s lifeless body.
“Bronwen.... it is done. Please.” He pleaded, pulling her up with care, “Let’s go home.”
Bronwen was dead silent as she was lead out of the palace, shocked into dead silence. Only one phrase slipped past her lips, only the arms of her fiancée able to bring her some sense of peace in the sea of grief and confusion.
“Edie... I’m sorry.”

Summer night
The blackness was everywhere. By then it was already nighttime. I was alone on a meadow, as I enjoyed magnificent view of my home city. Those lovely summer nights with their share of love from someone were what my heart longed for badly. Warm summer air blew around me. I lay on the blanket as my hair flows and brushes my cheeks as I close my hazel colored eyes.
Suddenly, before me appeared beautiful girl. Her blond hair made him look like angel. Her blue eyes shone so brightly that it was difficult for anyone not to be attracted to her. She also had most seductive smell that was just too overwhelming! A quick breath escaped my mouth when I saw her face-to-face because she was too perfect! Then again at seeing her smile and move towards me, she laughed wide enough across her entire face.
As she came nearer to where I lay on my blanket with all these thoughts chasing themselves round inside me brain I felt both safe yet thrilled by her presence at once. It was like electricity mixed together into blood that goes straight into human veins. It caused everything inside us to race faster than usual. It left me speechless at first. Words melted away out of existence. She sat beside me, but her smile did not fade. Instead without saying anything, she held out her hand for mine.
“May I join you?” she asked in a soft warm voice. It was like gentle summer wind blowing softly through trees whispering sweet secrets to each other.
Nervously, I nodded without finding words in my throat. They were still stuck behind those knots which formed during avoidance of such a moment too long gone back in memory bank somewhere without any hope of ever reaching again. The space between us felt almost like unknown thing. It both connected us strongly yet was completely different. It was an unidentifiable something, at once recognizable by touch yet elusive to sight alone.
“Beautiful night is it?” she said ass he examined sky’s beauty. “Yes” I finally managed to respond; it was hardly more than whisper. Suddenly warmth of sunbeam finds its way over me. I wake up and see grass around me wet with dew. Sun was rising over city. I heared gentle chirping of birds.
It was just dream. Confused, I begin to sob. My tears started to fall onto the wet grass.
It was most beautiful dream I've ever had.

The Rebels Extract
The Mysticanis War IV: The Rebels
Fangs
TW:Blood
A flash, a bang, and all faded to black.
Everything felt like a dream, her whole life had been flashing before her eyes in a spiral of memories. She had dreamed of moments where maybe, just maybe, life wouldn’t be so tough on her and now that moment had come, she felt even more worried. The fate of Mysticanis lay in her hands. Well, not just mine, she thought, she wasn’t alone, two Dragon Riders were better than one after all. She stared up at the night sky, watching the starways glitter and shine in this sea of silence and sorrow. Had they really just escaped the corrupt soldiers, alive?  She smirked slightly, who would have thought?  She sat up and pushed herself off of the soft yet spiky floor and cold air filled her lungs. Orion was still asleep, his head to the side, his sword stuck into the deep ground. She stretched her arms, and yawned as silently as she could. Looking over towards her side, through the trees, waves crashed onto the hard stone of the cliff. And the Lunar shone brightly on the ocean, black stripes from the trees blocking some of the view.
There was a rustle behind her, and when she spun round she thought she saw amber flashes of someone’s eyes. Footsteps approached her as Orion, (who must have woken up) frowned towards the same bush, they looked at each other, and then back to the black, jagged bush. She pulled out a dagger and Orion pulled out his sword from the ground in a smooth manner. They slowly edged towards it.
As they did, Leya felt a sharp pain on her cheek, blood ran slowly down her cheek and she placed her hand on it, a great mistake.
All around them figures leaped down from the trees, black shadows with piercing yellow eyes and white symbols on their faces. They all held their weapons steadily, Bows charged with arrows pointed at them, daggers prepared in their hands, and spears challenged them daringly. They stood in silence for a few seconds yet it felt like an eternity. Leya felt her heart racing, and suddenly a woman stepped forward. The Lunar’s light shone, she had pale skin that didn’t even look real. Transparent, almost. Long black braided hair that became curls at the bottom matched her clothes: a black shirt, which flared towards the end, gloves that looked like fabric woven around her hands and open, straight trousers that looked perfect on her. She wasn't Mysticanisan, but at the same time she seemed like one. Leya surveyed the marks on her face attentively, and at once she realised who these people were. They were Fangs. The woman spoke in a commanding voice, “Who dares invade our forest? Soldiers for the Four perhaps?” At this there was a collective jeer from the others surrounding them.  She was holding a long and sharp spear, which was far too close to them and looked like it could bring down a tree in one swipe. Orion, Leya noticed, had his hand on his own sword’s grip, but he hadn’t started forward to attack. “We aren’t working for the Four, we’re probably their greatest enemies at this point.” he said, looking at the spear in the woman’s hand, she held it like a real warrior. “You have still entered our forest. You will still have to explain to our leader. You can come quietly, or be killed.” she explained it all, with just her hardened expression, they could tell she wasn’t to be messed with. Orion and Leya looked at each other, realising their stupidity if they tried to fight, and put down their weapons onto the ground, with their hands up, showing they weren’t armed. Immediately, the people surrounding them pulled their arms back and tied them roughly. They suddenly pushed Orion forward, and the women looked at him, then to Leya.
“The chief will decide what to do with you…” she said and she turned to lead the way.

You had been travelling with your companions for nearly two years now. Katsuki Bakugo was a strong warrior and his partner, Izuku Midoriya, or Deku as he was more commonly known, was a skilled alchemist. You don’t know what string of fate lead you all together, since your meeting was completely coincidental. Although it mostly was because of your foolish actions- something you prefer not to think about.
You’ve always been a free-spirited child, running amok and causing chaos wherever you took up residence. That chaos often lead to you being kicked out of the villages and towns that took you in, leaving you to fend for yourself. The day you met Bakugo and Deku, you had been journeying through a forest in search of another place that would take pity upon you. You were frolicking along the path in the forest which was cleared for travellers. That was until something caught your eye.
It was a lovely flower sitting just past the side of the path. The flower was so pretty and you wanted to see it up close. You bit your lip lightly dur to your apprehension. You’d heard the cautionary tales told by travelling merchants and adventurers, warning not to venture into the forest. You decided it couldn’t be that bad-it lay merely a few feet ahead. Humming, you went to inspect the flower and plucked it. You would have turned around to leave but then you saw another flower which looked even prettier a few feet ahead. You pondered whether to return to the path or not. The flower was gorgeous and you could still see the path. So you decided to venture a little bit deeper into the forest to pick that one as well.
You saw yet another flower more striking than the previous, and after considering less carefully this time around, opted to go pick it. It became a pattern as you threw caution aside and happily ventured deeper and deeper into the forest. As the sun begins to set, you finally decide to return. However, you’ve gone too deep into the forest and you have absolutely no clue which way you came from. You gulp nervously. What creatures and monsters lurked and prowled in the cover of the night?
Your question would be answered when you saw a hoard of little impish creatures- goblins. Long pointed ears and equally pointed teeth. Short, green bodies with disgusting boils all along their rough skin. They howled at you, although it really was more of a shriek. You screamed out if fear and ran as fast as you could through the forest. You didn’t know where you were running too, but you couldn’t care less. All that mattered was escaping those horrid little beasts. Then, you tripped over a root you hadn’t seen. You hissed in pain, clutching your foot. The goblins caught up to you, much to your horror. You scuttled away into a thick tree, ignoring the intense pain. You let out a pained whimper and squeezed your eyes shut. Suddenly there was a yell, and flashes of colour that dizzied you. You were too exhausted and shocked to comprehend what wad happening. All you could make out was someone coming up to you before the world faded to darkness.
You groaned as you awoke, a bright light shone brightly. You blinked to adjust yourself to the light. Once you finally adjusted your vision, you furrowed your brows in confusion. were in a room, a nice one at that. The light was from the window on your right, the sun had risen already. Did that mean it was midday? You put aside your musings as you awed at the room itself. The room was the finest you’ve ever been in, for you’d never amassed enough money to stay in an upperclass inn. The bedding was soft and warm. You took a moment to enjoy the small luxury before snapping back to reality. How did you end up here? What happened to the goblins?
“You’re up!” someone exclaimed as they opened the door. You tensed slightly and they put their hands up to reassure you. “Ah, I’m sorry you must be surprised. My name is Izuku but everyone calls me Deku.”
“Oh, okay Mr. Deku, I’m alright. Did you bring me here?” You asked relaxing.
“Mmhmm, my partner Kacchan and I heard your scream. We ran to find you and those goblins. You fainted after we found you so we brought you to the inn.” said Deku, “What was a kid doing out there anyways?”
“Well I was walking along the forest path and then I saw this really pretty flower that was just a bit off the path.I know you’re not supposed to wander off but it was really close! So I went to go pick it. Then I saw an even prettier flower and I went to go pick that flower. The deeper I went, the more beautiful the flowers were and I didn’t notice until the sun began to set. That’s when the goblins attacked me and I ran.” You recounted.
Deku couldn’t help but laugh. Honestly you were so adorably naïve! You’d pranced into a forest known to be filled with dangerous monsters to pick flowers. You blushed furiously and pouted at him but that only caused Deku to laugh more. As your face reddened with childish anger and embarrassment, Deku ceased his laughter and apologized to you, an apology you barely accepted. Your stomach growled with hunger and you became flustered once again. Deku smiled gently and offered you to join him for lunch. An offer you eagerly accepted. You made your way to the dining hall of the inn, a warm and jovial place, filled with the scent of warm food and booze.
“Hey, so the kid finally woke up, huh.” Spoke a gruff voice which caused you to squeak.
“Kacchan! Be more gentle,” Deku admonished.
Bakugo huffed before glancing at you. You really were small and weak. Why you would ever go into that forsaken forest was beyond him. Well it didn’t really matter because he was just going to drop you off at the orphanage here. Nursing his ale, Bakugo watched Deku fuss over you. Honestly, what did he think he was doing? Deku had tried to convince him to take you with them, but Bakugo couldn’t do that. You were to fragile to travel alongside them, you would only be a hindrance. That was something Deku couldn’t- or refused to see.
However that plan came to a halt when the orphanage told him that they simply just didn’t have the room or the funds to take in another child. Frustrated, Bakugo was told that they next town over had a good orphanage. Bakugo groaned while a wide grin enveloped Deku’s face, you were going to stay with them for a little while longer it seems. You were excited of course. I mean they were adventurers! You were practically going on a quest. Bakugo shut that dream down quickly, letting out too many some ground rules. You became crestfallen until Deku distracted you with some basic alchemical creations. Deku glared at his partner but Bakugo remained unmoved. They would drop you off at the next town over and be done with you.
But alas, fate didn’t seem to share the same idea. As you traveled with them, you grew on them, more specifically Bakugo. You were just so happy and energetic. Your smile put the sun to shame, it was that bright. You truly fit in to the little family that Bakugo had made with Deku, but it was finally complete. Bakugo was raised with the barbarian traditions. Barbarians treasure their children, never abandoning them. So with Deku so insistent, and in accordance with barbarian traditions, he couldn’t leave you at the orphanage. Once you all arrived at the town, you and Deku didn’t part tearfully. Instead, Bakugo told you both that you were just here to pick up supplies, leaving you and Deku overjoyed.
You’ve travelled with them ever since. You’ve learned everything they could teach you, and even taught yourself some skills. Bakugo and Deku have watched you grow and they couldn’t be prouder. Recently, you’ve all stopped at a quant village. More notable than anything else in the village, is the charming farmhand that resides there. The adorable freckles dotting their face and their playful smile that makes your heart flutter. At first, it was passing glances which evolved into fleeting touches. But soon it became a relationship, one that you were keeping secret.
Now, Bakugo and Deku aren’t idiots, they can tell something is off with you. And when they find out about your relationship, Bakugo is livid. He wants to end the farmhands miserable life right then and there. Deku, on the other hand, knows how heartbroken you’d be if they ripped you two apart. Your heart may have to be broken, but who says it has to be them who break it? With a little threatening and a few minor injuries, the farmhand finally understands that they’re unworthy of you.
And when they finally do break up with you, you’re utterly devastated. When Deku and Bakugo find you sobbing, they immediately comfort you. Deku reassures you and asks you what’s wrong. You tell them everything, apologizing for keeping it a secret. Deku hushes you, while Bakugo, in a low murmur, asks for a name.
Don’t worry, they’ll always be there for you. Always.

Kinktober 2021 - Tickling
Pairing: Lilia Vanrouge x GN! Reader
Prompt: Tickling
A/N: This piece of writing is strictly 18+. NSFW. Minors DNI.
Warnings: yandere, dubcon/noncon, mild angst(?), jealousy
Your muffled moans struggled to come out. Bounds restrained your arms and legs as you felt like you were being tortured. Well, because you were.
It had all started back when Lilia Vanrouge, your upperclassman from Diasomnia, had taken a liking to you. That's definitely what he would call it, not an obsession. Lilia's infatuation started when he was able to get closer to you and meet you during the time preparing for the Magical Shift tournament. His magenta eyes shifted with wonder as he watched you try to solve who was causing issues for multiple players across the school. Since then, Lilia had taken a secret liking to you.
Recently, Lilia had spent more time trying to court you, sending small gifts and talking with you more. Retelling his memories from the fae war was one of his favorite pastimes. He could feel the excitement radiate off of your body and your eyes were so cute. "Wow, Lilia-senpai! Sounds like you were really tough back then, that's so cool!"  Your voice repeats in his mind, sending sparks to his heart. Flashing you a sharp toothy smile whenever you made him laugh, looking at you with large, almost expectant, eyes. To say the fae was entranced with you was an understatement. He felt like he was so very close to asking you to become his partner.
That was until he noticed you embrace his fellow club-mate, Cater. A smile was visible on Lilia's face as his heart wrenched. He approached you as usual, brightly exclaiming your name. You turned to face him, still smiling after your interaction with Cater, who had already left.
"Oh, Lilia-senpai! Hi!" you giggled as the bicolored hair boy was close. "How are you doing?"
"Hi (y/n)! Ah, I was just wondering if we were still going to my room later to hang out." His voice was cheerful, but carried a bit of tension, which you had yet to notice. "I thought we could go into another… history lesson?"
Your eyes lit up at the idea, excited to hear another one of Lilia's stories. "I would love to! I'm finished with everything, so let's go now!"
"Mm, I love your enthusiasm (y/n)." Magenta eyes turned dark as he took your hand and led you to Diasomnia.
Lilia's room was cozy and familiar. You sat with him on the side of his bed as he joined you.
"Hm, I think it would be interesting to discuss how we… interrogated our enemies." Lilia's voice trailed off, maybe in a way where he was thinking of the past.
"Oh, like… torture..?" You asked, unsteady. He turned to you, his smile back on his face. "Yes! And if it's okay, I'd like to show you, with a demonstration."
You were confused, yet intrigued. "I- okay," you started hesitantly. "Is it gonna hurt?"
The fear in your voice only made Lilia's heart soar. You were so cute and you were all his. "No, my dear, I assure you it won't. If anything you might like it..!" He giggled as he shook his head.
Your eyes scanned the floor, searching for words. Eventually, you returned his gaze. Y'know what? Sure, show me, Lilia-senpai!"
"Heh, I knew you'd do this for me~"
~~~
Your arms were tied to the upper corners of his bedpost with your legs free. Your jacket had been placed neatly on his chair. A cloth was stuffed into your mouth. It all felt so… weird for some reason, even though you already verbally agreed. Trusting Lilia should have been enough, though, he had been so nice to you. There was nothing to fear.
Suddenly, as you felt the sides of your shirt lift, you couldn't help the surprised whimper that fell from your mouth. His cold fingers descend onto your exposed sides, causing you to start giggling in joy. "MMPh!!!" your core was contracting with the laughs that wracked your body.
"Aah, my sweet (y/n), your laughs are so precious. I want to hear more!" Lilia's eyes grew darker as his grin extended. He crawled on top of you, sitting on top of your crotch. His cold fingers tickled the sides of your body once more. He reveled in the way you writhed under him.
"Nnnh!! hh- hmm, MMH!!!!" You did your best to shake your head and kick your legs, signalling you wanted him to stop.
"Oh, you want me to stop?" Lilia questioned innocently, turning his head to the side. You nodded profusely, sighing in relief when he finally did.
"What were you doing with Cater?" it came out as more of a demand rather than a question. His tone automatically brought sweat to your face. In the confusion, you could only manage to say a measly "huh?"
"(Y/n). I saw him touch you, earlier. He likes you doesn't he?" Lilia's smile was slight, still there, but small. And his eyes seemed like they looked in yours, but were almost looking beyond you.
"How about this, I'll remove the cloth so you can talk to me." As soon as it was removed, you breathed in and out rapidly, gasping for air.
"I- Lilia-senpai, Cay-kun and I are just friends…" You said, gulping. Yet, his expression hadn't changed.
"And, even if he did hug me, I didn't do anything wrong! You and I are just friends too, so you shouldn't question if other people like me or not…"
Wrong answer. Lilia's smile faded and he seemed visibly upset, crossing his arms.
"Hm." Was the only noise he released as you felt the tickling begin at your sides again.
However, his eyes were still trained on you, and his arms still crossed. Looking down, you saw green feathers moving on their own, tickling up and down your sides. You laughed - laughed until it really started to hurt. There was pain in your abdomen that only worsened over time. Your kicking legs suddenly felt as if they were bound in place, probably also due to Lilia's magic.
"Ah, aahn- Lilia-senpai, s-stop!! Please!!" You cried, tears pricking at the corners of your eyes.
"Hm, let's amp this up, no?" Lilia brought his hand to his mouth, smiling deviously.
Lilia's weight was lifted off of your body along with the torturous ministrations the feathers wreaked on you.
Chest heaving up and down, you felt as if your body was too tired to do anything. However, as soon as you felt your pants being unbuttoned and undone, you spared some energy to lift your head.
Lilia's fingers dragged your pants down to your knees, chuckling once he saw the arousal in your underwear.
"Aah, my sweet (y/n), I guess you don't really hate this, no?" He teased, bringing a finger to swipe at your clothed crotch. “Hmm, you’re so wet for me!”
"Oh!!" You turned away from Lilia, embarrassed about your own situation. "Lilia-senpaaai~, please, haanh, stop…!" You moaned, finger still rubbing at your arousal.
Again, the feathers started to torture you. The tickling brought pain and tension back into your body. Your screams molded into moans, heat coming straight to your cheeks as Lilia's fingers were still stroking you through the thin cloth.
"Hm, I'll think about it! How's this, I'll stop once you tell me you love me. You'll be my sweet (y/n) and I'll be your boyfriend!" Lilia's eyes shone, staring into yours. Goosebumps littered your skin as you heard his words.
"Ah, wh-what!? N-no..!" You protested, still writhing underneath him.
"Tsk, I guess you've chosen this then…" The speed of Lilia's fingers quickened their pace, ultimately slipping under the waistband of your underwear, stroking you directly.
"Oh- ah, oh fuck… " You couldn't help but let a curse slip from your mouth. "Lilia-senpaiii~ don't… stop…" You close your eyes in shame, as the sensation of Lilia's fingers invaded your senses.
"My sweet (y/n), oh my darling." Lilia coos, "It seems like you really like your punishment, don't you?" His tone teased you.
"Haah, fuck, I- I love it, so- aanh~ much..!" your babbling only grew as your climax approached rapidly.
Your moans only grew louder as you felt the feathers now tickling your pert nipples.
"Lilia, Lilia, haanh, Lilia-senpai!!!" You repeated his name like a mantra, breathing and growing more and more erratic.
Your moans were making the fae's cock twitch in his pants, yet he held himself back. He wanted to really take you when you were lovers. But that would be soon enough, wouldn't it?
"(Y/n), am I making you feel good?" Lilia's voice drew out. His voice was deep with lust and only sent tingles throughout your body.
"Y-yes, fuck! Lilia-senpai, I love- mmh, it feels so gooood~" you moaned, eyebrows furrowing together. You felt sinful, in pain and yet also pleasure. The tickling was stimulating your nipples while Lilia's fingers kept going faster.
"Lilia-senpai~ I- I'm gonna cum…" you turned into his pillow, muffling your moans. Drool was spilling from your mouth and you didn't even realize it. "Please, Lilia-senpai, make me cum!! I love it!! I- I love you, Lilia-senpai!!" you screamed, teetering on the edge of your orgasm.
Lilia moaned with you, absolutely loving your drunken confession. "Yes, my love, my (y/n)!" Lilia groaned. "Cum for me, my darling. Then we will be bound together!" His fingers stroked you with fervor, feathers teasing your body even more.
You reached your orgasm, screaming as liquid spurted out of you. As you rode your high, Lilia's fingers slowed. The feathers' torture on your body also ceased, leaving you to breathe heavily. Your arms were unbound, and you didn't even realize you were shivering from head to toe. Even with the freedom to move you couldn't.
Lilia's lithe body found its way to slump next to yours, arms wrapping around your form and pulling you close.
"I love you, (y/n). You're mine, now." Lilia's voice whispered softly into your ear.
She’s gone
Peter Parker x fem!reader
Summary: Peter and reader are dating when she finds out she has hodgkin lymphoma and makes a few videos for Peter.
Masterlist
A/N: I don’t know why I wrote this but I did. I was also emotional when doing so, so that’s probably why it turned into angst. This idea has probably been done before but eh.
Tw: Talks about Hodgkin Lymphoma (a type of cancer) and death of a character.
(Gif isn’t mine)
Tumblr media
The camera was unfocused, the bright light that shone in the background making her a blurry silhouette. Slowly everything became clear, the girl in the driver's seat tapping her fingers on the steering wheel and staring ahead. From what was passing by the window, the people seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, passing the nothingness as they went. The last few seconds of a song faded out and another began, the girl immediately smiling to herself and reaching it over to turn it up and scream the lyrics. For You by Why Don't We was a great song but not exactly the best with her out of tune screams of the words. "HEY! SHE SAID 'I REALLY MISS THE OLD YOU'! THEN FOUND SOMEONE BETTER!" A laugh had escaped the lips of whoever filming, camera shaking as the girl finally turned to face them. "Peter, put it away! I swear to fucking god!" She reached over, the car seeming swerving every so slightly making Peter laugh at her panicked expression. "Stop being such a dick! Stop recording!"
"No, it was adorable," Finally Peter spoke before the camera flipped and moved so both of them could be seen. His eyes were practically glowing in the light, his brown hair reflecting in such a way the ends looked golden. He pouted slightly at her when she held up her middle finger to him. "Fuck you Parker," her little annoyed mutter made him smile as he faced her, intertwining their fingers and resting them on the compartment in between. "You do," the girl's jaw literally dropped as she glanced between him and the road, stuttering out responses that were really just noises strung together to make up nothing translatable. Peter's laugh echoed once more but this time his grin was captured in the shot too. It was wide and as bright as the light that filled up the car with this vintage kind of vibe. Finally, his laughter subsided, his eyes going to her and then the camera. "Anyways, I'm recording because I think it's cool to document moments like this. So future us and anybody else watching this video, me and my wonderful girlfriend here," she pulled a stupid face to the camera, tongue sticking out and nose scrunching up, before looking back to the road, "Are on a road trip. We just visited her extended family and are on our way back to her apartment where her mum is waiting and the roads are basically empty,"
"And Peter almost killed my grandma!" This time his jaw dropped, a blush making its way to his cheeks as he shook his head repeatedly. "I didn't, I swear. All that happened was that I gave her a hug and with my super strength, it hurt her like a tad," she shook her head this time, looking to the camera as she spoke, "She has bruises," Peter had a guilty and sorry expression on his face that made her laugh as she continued, "And yet, he still got more birthday cake then me. On my birthday!" They both laughed this time, the camera zooming in on her perfect grin before the video ended.
~
This time, the camera was on Peter who sat leaning against the headboard of a bed on his phone, no doubt scrolling through some form of social media. The camera was moved so it became propped up against something and once again the same girl was in the shot, sitting next to Peter whilst glancing between his screen and his concentrated look. She moved to rest her head in his lap, the boy moving the phone to see her cheeky smile. He grinned back, turning his phone off and immediately playing with a strand of her hair. "Hi," she mumbled and it seemed to make his grin go wider as he leaned down and pecked her lips, "Hey," the girl sat up and reached over to the camera to stop the video, Peter's arm going round her waist as she did so.
~
It was the same place as before where the camera was propped up except this time it looked like a sunset or sunrise, Peter sleeping whilst his girlfriend filmed herself. "Hey Pete. Okay so, I want to just quickly point out how fucking adorable you are for starters," her hushed tone was a clear sign that she didn't want to wake him up but the over the top pointing could of easily hit him in the face. "But what I really wanted to do is say I love you. I've got a secret from you but by the time you see this, you'll know and so this is just me, telling you again, I guess. I know I'll tell you soon because I can't lie to you," tears had welled up in her eyes, a small sniffle being heard as she faced the sleeping Peter, "Oh god. I don't want to leave. You deserve so much better than this. Ok," she took one deep breath, calming herself as she looked to the camera again, new tears already flooding down her face like an overfilled river. "Um, I recently found out that I, er, I have," there was a pause, the next bit being too hard to say, "I have hodgkin lymphoma. It's a, um, a type of cancer," she took a shaky breath, her focus on her fingers that had reached across to a sleeping Peter's hand and began to fiddle with his, "And I'm having treatment but, it's bad," Peter began to stir and she had been quick to wipe at her face and shut off the camera, cutting off the her actually telling him.
~
Peter was shown having a slushy, holding hands of the person holding the camera. He smiled brightly, face scrunching up, no doubt thinking it was another picture and not a video. "Ok, we are going into that store over there and you are picking out clothes for me and some for you and I'll pay for all of it," the girl from behind the camera spoke and Peter's face immediately dropped as he finished his slushy and chucked into a bin not too far away, "You will not pay," the camera flipped round to face her, her chapped lips twisted into a teasing smile, "And they say chivalry is dead," she was suddenly standing up, half of Peter's face visible in the shot before he placed a peck to her cheek and hugging her, the girl simply continuing to film over his shoulder. "I love you," his calm whisper into her hair was muffled but she could still hear it, responding in a small voice, "I love you too,"
When they got into the shop, he disappeared with a small "Bye," and his girlfriend moved to the side, sitting down in the shoe area and holding the camera up. "So a public place isn't the best area to do this but I wanted to have happy moment before each of these because that's what we are. And this is the first video of a few. I love you and I know you better than anyone else. Maybe not May, but still. The point is, I know when I'm gone you're going somehow flip the blame onto you. You've already started doing it since I told you and I hate it. This isn't your fault and it isn't mine. These things can happen and I'm so sorry, I'm so fucking sorry that it's happening to you. Because I know and have excepted that I'm going to the unknown but you, you have to live with this and you are so strong. You been through so much and you're still the best fucking person I know and I can't believe that had the privilege to know you let alone love you. You are everything that is good in the world rolled into this little package of adorableness and no matter how many punches you take, you always get up and laugh with people and make jokes and be the best human being to ever exist. So this first video is me telling you, don't blame yourself and move on. Because you deserve more than anybody can give you and I want you to be happy for the rest of your life," she was full on sobbing, looking extremely weird to passers by. "I need to go so then you don't know I did this because I cried my fucking eyes out," and once again the video stopped.
~
A loud bang followed by a frustrated scream was the first thing that filled the speakers. Peter had the camera on him, staring off at something out of shot with this dopey grin on his face. "You okay there?" He asked cautiously, hand running through his curls. Suddenly his grin was wider, rushed footsteps in the background, and he stumbled as if just pushed or hit by something. The camera lowered to show his girlfriend hugging him. "School fucking sucks," She looked at the phone, pouting slightly as she snatched it out of his hands. "That's mine," he laughed, hugging her from behind as she aimed the camera towards them, "Yeah I stole it. I was texting Ned on there 'cause mine's out of battery," the girl gave a small nod, moving her head to snuggled closer to his neck as he pecked her cheek.
Another bang was heard from elsewhere and Peter sighed, glancing behind him. "That's May. I've gotta go help her," one quick kiss to her forehead and he was gone and her smile slowly faded. "This isn't exactly how I planned to do this one but I'm gonna go with it. Hi again, this is the second one and I want to start again with I love you. I want you to do something for me. I know I live with my mum and I've rarely met the Avengers but I also know you deflect pain. Most of the time it's to helping people but when it's all too much, you get angry and you yell at people at random points 'cause you're bottling it up and I know that it's just going to be those heroes who get it. So I want you to, every time you want to scream and shout and blame someone for some small meaningless thing, I want you to tell them how you're feeling. I want you to talk about everything because as much as I love you, your dumb as fuck to not see how many people care for you and are willing to hear you out. I don't care if you don't want to burden anyone, okay? 'Cause you're not. They are there for you so be a man and talk about your feelings. I'm sure they'd prefer helping you than being at by you, okay? You're probably going to get back soon so I should go but, um, there's only one more to go and I love you,"  The camera shut off, her wobbly smile and tear stained cheeks being the last things to be seen.
~
The camera zoomed in on the intertwined fingers before going to the ridiculous amount of snacks and finally to the movie playing on the screen. Then it faced the side where Peter was shoving a hand full of popcorn into his mouth and trying not to choke when he saw the camera on him. He had a buzz-cut now, no doubt recently shaving his hair off. "It's movie night! Put it away!" The camera flipped to show his lovely girlfriend who now had no hair. And yet, she was still smiling and laughing despite things not exactly being okay. She then turned to get them both in the shot, a massive grin on her lips. "Look what this amazing human being did for me! How am I so lucky?" Peter snatched the phone, turning the video off.
~
There was a lot of shouting in the background, laughter mixed in. the camera faced the cream ceiling, pieces of hair visible every now and then."You can't Peter! It's bad luck! Get out!" His laughter became muffled after the slam of a door and the camera finally showed the girl, no different to the time before except maybe slightly paler and she had a little bit of makeup on. She smiled brightly to the camera and moving over to some sort of desk to prop her phone up. "Ok, so no happy moment before this one because if you can't tell by the dress I'm wearing or the me just kicking you out my room, it's the non official wedding," Her hands went to the waistband of her white dress that ended at her knees and looked like something you'd wear to a prom. "You're a terrible husband if you don't remember that and I want a divorce," She let a breathy laugh leave her lips, placing her hands on her head. "In case you actually don't remember or there's someone else watching this, MJ did the ceremony, Ned walked me down the aisle and was best man and Harry was the maid of honour but he refused to wear the pink dress I got him because it didn't work with his eyes so he's got that blue dress that he's wearing. Right, this is the third and last one. I can't believe you set this up. I told you that I was so upset that I wouldn't spend the rest of my life with you and wouldn't get to have a wedding with you and you set this up because legally we can't get married so we're getting fake married. My mum and May are literally the only guests and they are getting flowers so I'm alone right now in my room until they get back and fuss over me,"
She sat down in the swivel chair, smile still present on her face. "Alright, this one is pretty much what I've been saying the last two videos except I'm actually saying it this time. I want you to look after yourself, okay? I don't want you doing anything stupid when I'm gone like getting yourself hurt overworking as Spiderman. Take a break, there are other heroes out there who are more than willing to help you if you can't do it. Move on, please. I know that it's going to be hard but I'm always going to be a part of your life, whether I'm there or not and you just have to accept that. Also, I know this probably won't help with the move on but can you check in with my mum every now and then. She's trying to act all strong but she's just like you and she's losing a daughter so just, keep her happy, for me? Please. Just be good to yourself  and move on. Ok this is the last one and I'm about to talk to my mum about sending you these when I'm gone so, I love you," And the camera stopped, catching the girl's broken expression rather than bright beautiful smile.
~
There was cheering, the video focus on Peter and his girlfriend kissing, whilst the few people around them clapped and cheered for the 'married' couple. Peter was lightly brushing away tears from her face when they pulled away, her doing the same to him. He suddenly smiled wide and picked her up bridal style, kissing her once more. "Ok Parker, you can stop kissing my little girl now!" Her mother shouted, Peter smiling sheepishly towards her but was soon brought into another kiss. When they pulled away, she stuck her tongue out to her mum before turning to Peter and pointing down the makeshift aisle.
~
The lights were dim but the video was still clear. It was the two dancing, swaying to the slow song as Peter rested his chin on the top of her head. She was clearly crying as was Peter, the two looking like they were holding on for dear life. Sweet whispered 'I love you's were shared and then the video stopped.
Peter wiped at his eyes harshly. It was the third time watching them since... And he still sobbed his eyes dry. I mean, of course he did, it was his first love. He hadn't even told the Avengers, whenever they asked if he was going to bring her to another party or if they'd get to meet her again, he'd just walk out. Go try not to break down somewhere where no one could see him. But he felt okay watching this on the big screen in the living room of the compound because no one was home or at least that was what he thought. And to begin with, they weren't. Actually it was the time he took to set up linking his phone to the TV that they all walked in quietly. That they all saw everything on those videos. That they finally understood why he was holding back from missions or patrolling every night. Why he wasn't free for dinner every Wednesday because 'he and May had dinner with someone important'. Why he wasn't spending his entire day talking about you anymore. They had thought it had been a break up, like a really bad one but it wasn't. So Peter sat sobbing on the couch, the superheroes crying behind him, yet to make their presence known. Even Natasha and Bucky were crying.
"Hey kid," Tony finally managed to say, Peter jumping up and spinning round to see them all there. "Um, how long have you been... there?"Just from their faces he knew, trying to cover up the fact he'd been crying but Tony immediately held his hands out as if it would stop him. "Wanna talk about it?" He looked like he was going to say no but then his eyes met Tony's and he had launched himself at the man. "She's gone," He cried into the man's shoulder, holding on like he was a lifeline.
"Y/N's gone,"
Haunted Dreams
Sausage just wants to sleep...but trauma weighs heavy on the mind.
Tw: Nightmares, blood/violence, brief disassociation
Also on Ao3
---------------------
He walked through Mythland, a casual stroll through the streets of his empire to see it in all its restored glory now that he’d removed the corruption that had overun it. His citizens greeted him as he passed and he made a point to at least try and speak with as many of them as he could.
Then the sky grew dark, thunder echoing as lightning split the heavens and suddenly, the citizens around him were gone, as if they’d never been there to begin with.
Sausage knew what the storm meant and he ran; fear in his heart and panic in his mind. He needed to get away, he needed to hide. He was fooling himself, there was no hiding from the harbinger of the storm, no matter how much he wished there was.
He ducked into a building as he was inflicted with a blindness spell, cowering in a corner like a frightened animal. Maybe...maybe if he pretended they weren’t here like Joel did then they’d go away. Positive thinking right? That’s what Gem always told him.
“Hello, Sausage.” Xornoth said with a wicked grin as he came into view, “You and I have much to discuss.”
“No! G-Go away! I don’t work for you anymore!”
The demon laughed, “Oh Sausage, did you really think I’d leave you alone? You will never escape me!”
The next thing Sausage knew was been teleported, now on a netherbrick floor where familiar crimson tendrils were quick to bind him.
The blindness spell wore off and he felt his blood run cold. He knew where he was, he’d been here before when he was still under the influence of corruption. Even now he could almost hear the agonized cries and pleas of those he watched Xornoth torture...that he himself even tortured. Sausage could almost see Fwhip, Gem, and Kathrine bound and helpless, their blood still staining the ground.
“Its a new perspective isn’t it? Being on the receiving end of something you once enjoyed?” Xornoth questioned, twirling a dark, bloodied dagger in his hand as he walked “I cannot let your insolence go unpunished, Sausage.”
Suddenly, the demon was in front of him, its gaze meeting his own. “I wonder how easy you’ll be to break.”
  Sausage jolted upright with a cry, pain radiating in his right arm. He quickly looked at it in panic, expecting to see pulsating crimson veins. Instead, all he saw were the web-like scars where corruption had once been seared in his flesh. His gaze followed them from where they started at his wrist, and ended right over his heart.
He grimaced at the permanent reminders of what he’d done and averted his gaze to the room he was in. It wasn’t a dungeon where he would be tortured, it was his bedroom...in his keep...in Mythland.
There was no storm outside, moonlight shining brightly through the window and casting a gentle glow on the floor and walls.
A nightmare...that’s all it’d been. A remnant of the trauma he’d gone through. Still, there was no going back to sleep, not after that. Maybe...maybe he could go on a midnight walk to clear his head?
He swung his legs over the edge of the bed and stood, going over to his wardrobe and grabbing a simple undershirt, pants, and a cloak. It was a casual attire, much different than what he would normally wear, but it’d work.
Once he was on the cobbled streets he began his walk. Mythland was stunning at night, lanterns lit the paths and fireflies flickered in the air. The sound of night wildlife was therapeutic as it was joined by his quiet footsteps.
The bleating of blood sheep made him smile, with the corruption tentacles gone the symbols of his empire’s culture had come out from hiding, no longer afraid.
All was fine until Sausage could have sworn he saw a shadow move in the darkness. When he turned to look, it was gone.
Just a nocturnal animal he told himself before continuing down the path towards one of the residential areas.
He’d helped design some of the houses here himself and the sight of them made him smile. Light shone dimly through closed windows, alerting him that the residents were safe.
Then, in one of the alleys, he caught sight of a shadow, but it disappeared seconds after he made eye contact with it. A stray dog or cat he thought, that was all, there was no one out on the streets at this hour other than him.
As he continued he noticed that the sounds of the night had gone quiet, his footsteps echoed by another set behind him. He turned, but saw no one, not even the particles of an invisibility potion.
He was tired, that was all. He was tired and just imagining things. He was alone out here...he should probably head back home to rest.
Countless times more on his way back did he swear he was hearing footsteps, close enough to be in earshot, yet far enough away to be unnerving. He also could have sworn the shadow he kept seeing was following him. He knew it was just paranoia, once he was back in bed he’d be fine.
Soon, his home came into view and he went inside, climbing the stairs back to his bedroom.
He discarded the cloak, hanging it on the railing to put away in the morning and made his way over to his bed, not even bothering to get undressed again.
As he passed the mirror by his wardrobe though he froze, the reflection in it drawing his attention out of the corner of his eye. The second he turned to look, he recoiled with a yelp.
In the glass was a man that looked like him, a man dressed in black and grey with piercing red eyes and black veins marring their skin that had a faint crimson light flickering underneath. A sinister grin crossed their face as their gaze met his own.
“Look at you.” his reflection began in a distorted version of his voice, “Pathetic and weak once more. You were so powerful Sausage, you were feared. Don’t you miss it? The strength flowing through your veins, the magic at your fingertips. You could have had so much more too, if you’d stayed.”
It clicked then who the reflection was, it was someone he never wanted to see again, someone that terrified him. “I’m not you. I’m not a puppet for someone to order around.”
His reflection vanished and for a moment, Sausage thought he’d beaten his subconscious. He’d been wrong as he felt a sword go through him, the blade dripping with ink black blood as it protruded from his chest.
“You’re right,” came the voice of his doppelganger once more, “Because I am what you should have been.”
The sword was yanked back out, and Sausage fell to the ground, hacking and sputtering as the life drained from his body.
“All I have to do, is kill you and take your place.”
The black blade of a corrupted netherite axe tore through the flesh of his neck.
  Once more he awoke with a cry, his hands instantly flying up to his throat instinctively in panic. Once he realized that his head was still attached did he dare open his eyes.
Sunlight came through the window and lit up the room, birds sung outside and the wind rustled the leaves of trees. In the distance, he could hear the faint sounds of his people going about their lives.
Tears formed in his eyes and he began to cry, ugly sobs coming from his throat at what he’d witnessed in his nightmare.
Then it dawned on him...what if he was still asleep? What if he’d just passed into another part of the illusion his traumatized mind was inflicting upon him?!
What if...what if he wasn’t really in Mythland? What if he’d failed in the spirit realm and as punishment he was left to suffer a nightmare for eternity?!
Who was he? The King of Mythland? The servant of evil? The condemned spirit left to be forgotten by those he cared about?
The mental turmoil was maddening and Sausage clutched the sides of his head, “Stop...make it stop...” he pleaded quietly.
A knock on the door snapped him from his spiraling thoughts, bringing him back to what he hoped was reality.
“Sausage are you home? I know you said you wanted to rest but I’m worried about you.”
Gem’s voice was music to his ears and Sausage quickly regained his composure as best he could before heading down the stairs to open the door for her.
“Hey, Gem.” he said with what he hopped was a happy tone, he didn’t want to worry her any more.
The wizard’s smile faded, “Sausage you look horrible, I thought you said you were going to get some sleep and recover!”
“What are you talking about Gem? I feel perfectly fine!” he countered casually, “I’ve been resting like I said I would after all!.”
Gem wasn’t convinced, “Sausage, have you looked at yourself in the mirror?”
The question had been an innocent one, but the nightmare from the night before quickly flashed before him. “N-No, because I’m...I’m afraid of what I’ll see.” he admitted as he wrapped his arms around himself.
"What do you think you’ll see?”
Sausage grit his teeth, his body beginning to shake, “Him, Gem...the corrupted puppet of Xornoth...”
"He isn’t you, Sausage.”
“No...he’s not...” because he’s who I was supposed to be...
Gem broke the momentary silence that followed, “You’ve gone through a lot, Sausage and while I still don’t know if I can fully trust you yet, if you need to talk about anything then I’ll be right over alright?”
Sausage nodded and wrapped his arms around her just to make sure she was real and not another trick played by his mind, “Thank you.”
-
He had spent the next several days working, doing everything he could to keep himself from falling asleep, afraid of what would await him. He’d dozed off a few times and had found himself in several scenarios.
  Sometimes it’d been in the arena, the other rulers falling to his blade over-and-over again, bathing him in their blood while he smiled in sadistic pleasure.
Sometimes he’d be running from a shadow that would always catch him, its claws digging into his mind to puppet him around once more
Sometimes he’d see the wicked grin of his twisted doppelganger as they drove a blade through him, their words poisoning his thoughts and filling him with doubt and fear.
Sometimes he’d be laying helpless as Xornoth tortured him. Trying countless painful methods to ensure that this time the corruption taking over his body would be permanent.
  And when night fell he’d just lay in bed awake, guilt and trauma weighing heavy on his mind. The things he’d done were horrible and now that he was free, he would be hunted relentlessly by the one that had controlled him and the hybrid that still followed them.
Sausage was scared. He needed sleep...he needed help...
That had been the one word shakily scribbled onto the paper he’d tied around a raven’s leg before sending it to the Crystal Cliffs.
-
A knock on the door the following morning forced him to get out of bed and go to open it. Sausage’s movements were sluggish but he managed to succeed in his goal. Gem stood in the doorway, her expression morphing into a grimace once she saw the sorry sight he probably was. “Oh Sausage...what have you been doing to yourself...”
He collapsed into her, unable to hold back tears any longer, “I can’t sleep Gem! Every time I close my eyes the nightmares come, even if its just for a minute. Please Gem, sleeping potions...or even some kind of sleeping spell...just something, anything to help me fall asleep peacefully!”
Gem couldn’t think of any way to reply, only held the broken person in her arms.
“How about we get you inside? See what we can do?”
A distressed  but agreeing sound came from Sausage and Gem helped maneuver him upstairs and back into his bed. The Mythland king looked terrible, his clothes disheveled and his face pale enough that the dark circles forming beneath his eyes were extremely noticeable.
“Tell me everything, Sausage. Tell me about the nightmares and anything that is bothering you.”
So he did. Sausage spilled every detail about his nightmares and paranoia, about every little thing he feared and pondered. Gem listened intently as he spoke, never once interrupting, just letting him get his thoughts out.
By the time he finished Sausage felt as if a burden had been lifted from his shoulders, it was...nice.
The last of his energy had been sapped from his venting and the clutches of sleep tried to bring him into their hold.
Gem stroked his head, her sympathetic eyes meeting his own tired ones. “Go to sleep, Sausage.” he coaxed, “I’ll be here to wake you if I sense something is wrong.“
Sausage only gave a sigh, his eyelids slipping shut and lulling him into darkness.
But, for the first time in an unknown amount of days, the nightmares didn’t come. Sausage was at peace, finally able to rest.
Yellow
psa: okay i know yall are about to blast me on this even though i’ve put this warning up here, i know kuroo’s eyes are hazel or something like that. but i actually headcanon him to have somewhat yellow or even gold eyes so we’re sticking to that for now, okay? okay
kuroo x reader (tsukishima x reader in the end)
angst....
Look at the stars Look how they shine for you And everything you do Yeah, they were all yellow
I came along I wrote a song for you And all the things you do And it was called "Yellow"
all your life you thought he was the one.
growing up with kenma and kuroo, you naturally found your soulmate mark pretty early on. it was a normal Sunday afternoon when you noticed something seemed to be off the moment you laid your eyes on the rooster’s face.
‘hm’
that was the first sound of curiosity that caught the attention of the man himself. a grin made its way on his face as he realized how deeply you were staring at him.
‘oya? am i cute, baby chibi?’
at the mere age of 10, kuroo was already the ultimate teaser he is today. the shameless and sarcastic grin has been carved on his ridiculously adorable face and kuroo tetsuro was never one to miss an opportunity to tease. combined with an older sister, kuroo learned the ways to flirt to a lady despite his initial shyness towards people in general.
then you came.
with your signature f/s (favorite smell) scent, you were the only one he could smell as his own soulmate mark was the lack of scent.
but there was one problem.
it is said that usually when you meet your soulmate, you would regain what you lost.
however, how come it was only a small part that he got back?
shouldn’t he be able to smell his mother’s cooking or the grass outside?
maybe that’s how he found himself drawn to you.
the questions and questions ended in one single answer.
he met you through kenma.
as a neighbor of the pudding head, kuroo often came over to kenma’s house to play since he was the only friend the older boy had. then maybe around the fifth time he came over, he saw you there.
you were standing in your tippy-toes and kuroo watched you try to get a box of fruit snacks on top of the fridge but obviously, you were too short. the poor kid felt himself freeze up at the sight of another kid in the kitchen but then he remembered kenma telling him the other day that a relative was coming over.
you must be the relative.
and a very good smelling one too.
kuroo’s ears turned red when he remembered what his sister told him.
‘it will come one day, tetsu. they will come one day. you will know it immediately when you see them’
it was like an invisible trail only seen by him trailed to you and he imagined it to be yellow.
there was no particular meaning to it but he just knew it was yellow.
‘come on!’
you mumbled repeatedly.
as much as tetsu found the sight amusing, he felt slightly bad for you the moment the 5-minute mark hit. even though he was nervous to speak to you, he mustered up all his courage and walked over, only to startle you with his voice.
‘watch and learn, chibi’
he cringed a little after he said it but he pushed it to the side.
in amazement, you watched as this boy effortlessly heaved himself on the counter and stood up to easily grab the box of snacks. you cheered once his fingertips touched the box but apparently, your noise of happiness scared him and his sock-cladded foot missed the marble top and instead sunk to the air.
‘watch out!’
you shrieked and dove to try and catch him but you didn’t realize how pointless it was as you both still fell and got hurt anyways.
the position was something your young mind didn’t register as anything suggestive.
but his intense gaze made you blink and fluster even more when he laughed and you found yourself comparing him to the cutest boy in your kindergarten.
this boy might be the first one to be cuter than akaashi keiji himself.
‘thank you’
you whispered in appreciation and tetsu nodded, moving himself up before offering you a hand to stand too.
unfortunately for you, colors were never in your life.
i guess you could say that your world was filled with black and white with the occasional appearance of grey.
it never bothered you until twice in your lifetime.
you wanted to see akaashi keiji in full color and you also wanted to see this boy’s eyes.
it looked sharp and reminded you of something your cousin and your cat had in common.
eventually, that desire went away and you went back to living your colorless life.
however.
the moment your 9th birthday hit, you noticed something different.
you were over at kenma’s while your parents were doing something (probably a surprise party). tetsu was over too and by now, he was already accustomed to you and he liked you, even more, when you helped get the volleyball whenever it strayed away.
‘oh! chibi-chan!’
he greeted when he saw you lounging around on kenma’s bed, reading a princess book, while the bed’s owner was by your feet playing on his games.
‘oh! hello, ku-kun!’
you waved, not even looking up from the page, only for him to pull a sour face and whine.
‘aaaaaaa, call me something cute, chibi-chan! i want a nickname too! it’s not fair that kenma gets one and i don’t! and pay attention to me too!’
kuroo childishly complained and you opened your mouth to scold him for being annoying when your heart thrummed violently and your eyes found his.
they were very light.
you didn’t know what the color name was since you’ve been stuck with this problem the moment you were born.
but you were interested to learn just to know what color kuroo tetsuro’s eyes were.
right now, you had no name for it.
all you knew was that they were very pretty.
as you got older, his eyes were the only thing you could see that was outside the black and white and grey spectrum. not even the apple you ate or the school uniform could be identified by a single color.
but his-his were yellow.
the perfect shade of not being too light and not being too dark, they evened out to be something as beautiful as gold.
oddly enough, he was the only person you could see yellow in.
added to the fact that you were still cursed of not having the full color wheel, kuroo’s yellow eyes were the only colorful thing in your life and your cousin even dyed his hair the same color to see if you could identify it on another person.
but nope.
just kuroo.
and that’s what made him so special.
sometimes, you could even see it glow brighter.
you reckon it’s just the lighting but what you don’t know is those short glowing pulses of his eyes were actually the times he realized that he falls in love with you.
so for every time they glow, it was his soul’s indirect way of saying he loves you.
‘chibi?’
kuroo snapped you out of your staring and you found yourself back to the rooftop of your high school while kenma was sipping his juice and playing at the same time.
‘oh’
you mumbled.
kuroo smirked and he scooted closer to peck your cheek before leaning close to your face. even he was flustered at the strongest smell of f/s and it was his own personal drug with no sense of limitation.
the same for kuroo, your scent would get stronger and it would happen occasionally at the most random times.
like now.
but kuroo was a smarter boy and quickly connected the dots that with your strong scent and the clear scream of love in your eyes, your strong scent was your own indirect way that you love him.
and he swears to any higher being up there, that he would always love you more.
‘what were you thinking about, chibi-chan?’
he whispered and your eyes widened at the up-close view of his face and noticed they were glowing again.
you wonder why.
your line of sight moved and you couldn’t help the way your eyes traveled downwards to his lips.
‘oh? you want a kiss?’
he teased and you could feel your ear bursting with how flustered you’ve become but thankfully, kenma decided to save you.
‘oi, kuroo. don’t suck faces when i’m here’
he chided and kuroo sighed heavily then pouted.
‘fine. i guess i can wait. but you owe me double the kisses’
this idiot knew what he was doing to you.
that was your kuroo.
he was everything you wanted and everything you needed.
yet the moment you laid eyes on the tall middle blocker of karasuno, everything faded away.
being the manager of the volleyball team meant you were obligated to go to practice matches with them and as you walked over to the entrance of the gym, you felt the world stop.
there, karasuno stood and your eyes settled on the tall player with the glasses. his height made his noticed quickly but to you, you noticed him immediately with the reasons of suddenly being able to see other colors and because his own hair color was this familiar shade of grey that only meant you couldn’t see the true color.
by the corner of your eye, there was a bright sight.
the hair of some other karasuno player shone brightly and his short height didn’t even register in your head as volleyball material, rather him being the confirmation of what just happened.
‘tetsu’
you almost sobbed and kuroo knew something was wrong by the way your scent started fading.
‘chibi-y/n’
he frantically asked and you looked at him, now seeing the bright color of his jacket.
his eyes still shone in color but now, they all blended with the rest of the colors.
it was all mixed--muddled.
‘kuroo’
you whispered and tetsu knew he should appear professional so he grabbed your waist and pulled you close by his side to silently tell you it was going to be okay.
but by god, it wasn’t.
as the karasuno players introduced themselves, you finally put a name to the tall middle blocker.
‘my name is tsukishima kei’
his velvet voice traveled to your ear.
you swallowed a lump in your throat and you asked kenma what this tsukishima guy’s hair color was.
‘yellow’ was all he said.
it was like thunder boomed in the distance.
it all made sense.
‘hey, y/n?’
kuroo quietly mumbled. you tore your eyes away from the sky and looked at the boy laying beside you with your arms around him to warm you both from the cold summer night at his apartment rooftop.
‘hm?’
‘how come,,,, why can i only smell you?’
your eyes stared at his face but his own refused to look at you.
‘why can i only see your eyes? its the same concept. and honestly, im too scared to find out’
you admitted and that was when tetsu finally looked at you and you might not be able to see anything else but his glowing yellow eyes made up for it.
‘i am too’
you smiled softly before leaning up to kiss his lips.
‘then we don’t have to find out’
you’ve heard from tetsu’s sister before about the taboo tales of twin flames and the differences between soulmates and twin flames.
your mind knew this would happen but your heart refused to accept it.
kuroo tetsuro was the boy you stayed up thinking about and dreaming of the simple wedding and the house with children’s laughter filling up the silence of the street.
but then that grinning and handsome face of your tetsuro became replaced by the face of this person--this stranger.
and there was nothing you could do about it.
tsukishima kei may have given you the colors of the world.
but only kuroo gave you yellow.
okayokayokay i know this kinda sounds confusing so imma write out this quick explanation, okay?
so basically, this is a story about soulmates duh but also partially twin flames. so when you turned 9, you saw kuroo and you thought he was your soulmate immediately because he was the only person who you could see colors to. oddly, it was yellow (i know its supposed to be hazel but please bear with me!!) and so therefore yellow became kuroo’s special thing to you. and i also talked about how their soulmate marks were only partial like kuroo could only smell you and nothing else and you could only see his eyes and its color and nothing else. this goes along with the idea that you can have multiple soulmates in your life but only have one twin flame! as sad as it sounds, he isn’t your twin flame. and when you guys were questioning about it, that was my way of kinda showing this knowledge that not everyone with the soulmate prompt probably thinks about when they make soulmate fics. your twin flame is your endgame or your partner for life. they are your person and your soulmate are just people that are special to you like theyre right under twin flame.
tsukishima kei is your twin flame, not kuroo. kuroo is one of your soulmates that you’ll meet in your lifetime and he was your color of yellow. and i kinda mentioned that despite seeing all the colors in tsukki, you couldnt see his hair color and it’s grey, meaning its a light color but you can’t actually see it bc your soulmate curse blocks it. thats why you ask kenma his hair color and its yellow so you kinda make this connection like ‘how come i still see tetsu’s eye color which is yellow but not tsukishima? or even kenma’s hair?’. bc that color belongs to kuroo. it indicates and reminds you that he’s still one of your soulmates and essentially helped you grow and connected with you deeply. you mistook that connection for romantic love when it was only meant to be platonic love. i mentioned somewhere up there that the topic of twin flames is taboo so its not really known by like everyone so that would maybe explain you and kuroo’s ignorance about it. the same goes for kuroo. say your scent is lavender. he can’t walk into a store and smell a candle of lavender bc its not from you, ya feel? i dont know i suck at explanations but i hope i cleared the air with this one!!
The hottest day
Tumblr media
CHARACTERS | Everyone from the picture above.
RELATIONSHIPS | Levi x Erwin, Eren x Mikasa, Armin x Annie, Mike x Nanaba, Petra x Oluo
GENRE | Domestic
IV | Day at the beach, Sea, Diving, Football | Soccer, Volleyball, Attempt at humour, Domestic fluff, Fluff, Alternate Universe - Everyone lives/ Nobody dies
SUMMARY | With the titans gone, no threats looming over the horizon, and summer being in full bloom, Survey Corps are left with one final and obvious thing to do: spend a day relaxing at the beach.
WORD COUNT | 3170
This has to be one of the hottest days yet, thought Levi as he looked out the window in Erwin’s office. He was slightly irritated by the golden yellow rays that were placing fire kisses on his form, making his charcoal black hair warm up to astronomical temperatures, his clothes suddenly too suffocating and his skin flush on areas such as his arms and cheeks. Outside those that were actually able to participate in training, would frequently stop to pour buckets of water over their head to cool off, their shirts long discarded and pants cuffed over the knees. The others that had given up, would rest under trees, basking in the shade or close to the building’s walls in the shade propagated by the roof. Erwin was sitting at his desk, completing the last set of documents for the day. The commander was by no means in a better state than anyone. His shirt was unbuttoned completely, exposing his muscular body, its sleeves cuffed just above the elbows. His hair was messily hanging over his forehead, where small beads of sweat would rest and trickle down his face. Levi grimaced, completely fed up of the intense smell of sweat oozing from his husband and the state in which the barracks and the soldiers where in, and stood up. The raven made his way to the desk at which the older man was absorbed completely in his work.
“Right, that’s enough.” Levi said, pulling Erwin out of his work. The blonde looked up and raised an eyebrow. “We need to do something about the heat.”
“And what do you propose?” Erwin rested his head in his hands, rubbing at his temples. “Please also keep in mind that I have not finished the documents yet.”
“Fuck your documents. That’s all you’ve been doing since we eradicated the titans, there’s no more work for us anymore and I’m sure the papers can wait for a while more. I think it’s time to enjoy the outside world, don’t you think?” Levi came behind Erwin and started massaging his shoulders.
“Yes. So this means…?” Erwin turned his head to look up at him, encouraging him to continue.
“I think we should go to the beach: me, you, Mike, Nanaba, Hange, Moblit, my squad, and those fetuses from the 104th. We worked hard, we did a good job. Even Reiner, Bertholdt, and Annie are on our side now. It’s time to enjoy the fruits of our labour.” Levi proposed, giving Erwin a soft smile reserved just for him in their private moments. The older of the two furrowed his eyebrows and turned his head in thinking. After a moment, he let out a long and loud exhale, relaxing his shoulders completely, and turned to the raven reciprocating the same warm smile. With a slow nod, Erwin then told Levi, whose expression lit up like a Christmas tree: “Yes, I believe you are right. Please go announce the others and tell them to meet in 30 minutes at the front gate with their swimsuits and towels and whatever else they need in their bags. Do you want the blue or the green trunks?”
“Green.” Said Levi as he pecked Erwin’s cheek in appreciation, then made his way out the door.
-
Exactly 30 minutes later everyone gathered up at the gate, beaming with excitement, the sweat and dry heat in which they were engulfed moments ago long forgotten and replaced with visions of refreshing baths. Hange and Moblit displayed the biggest bags out of them all, stuffed to the brim with diving gear, and if their horses’ annoyed neighs and occasional stomping of foot was anything to go by: not at all light. Well, if it was for research then everything went through. Nanaba was the most relaxed out of them all as she didn’t have to carry, her bag in Mike’s possession, like the gentleman he was. Although, not only was he carrying her stuff but he also had a mini cooker secured in the back of his saddle, which was giving him a hard time, but he would do anything her and extra load was nothing for him. A year ago he had to carry so much more during battles and under more strenuous conditions.
The beach to which they went last year had been transformed into a port to encourage trade with other countries, so Erwin took up on Hange’s suggestion of visiting a new place they’d found while on patrol a few weeks before. The beach was beautiful, bushes and palm trees circling it then fading into white and smooth sand. The water was pristine and crystalline, the turquoise blending seamlessly into darker blues, hinting the constant increase in depth. The sun shone even more brightly than before as early morning had long passed, the afternoon now in full bloom. The impact it had on their skin was ebbed by the chilly breeze coming from the sea, ruffling their hair, clothes, and cloaks. As soon as they arrived, everyone unpacked and took off their clothing, leaving nothing but their bathing suits on.
After the initial excitement had passed and everyone had their share of refreshing baths, splashing in the sea, and taking in the landscape, they proceeded to split into groups. Mikasa and Annie had take the initiative of setting up a volleyball game against Sasha, Historia, and Ymir. At first, as the girls were getting used to the game, the ball flew smoothly over the net, passes were cautious, and serves almost every time would not get over the net. But as the real game began, Mikasa and Ymir were blocking and jumping with everything they had, Annie served way too hard, accidentally hitting Sasha on the head and making the girl fall with a loud thud, and Historia was making assists with Ymir. The atmosphere was thick with concentration and competitiveness from both parties. Those who watched their game might’ve thought the girls were giving their all. However, after a pretty shit serve from Annie, the ball was passed by Sasha who ducked down and with her forearms redirected the ball to Historia. The blonde little girl then bent her legs slightly, pushing the ball upwards towards virtually nobody. At that moment, Ymir ran and jumped, intercepting the ball, then smashed it over the net right into Mikasa's head. The raven stumbled on her feet and fell bottom first into the sand. With her body already full of sweat and remaining water from their previous bath, it should have not been a surprise when her whole figure became covered in sand. She grimaced and let out a sharp breath, then stood up to her feet, murder on her mind. Afterwards, Mikasa and Annie kept stealing points from their adversaries mercilessly, making Historia cry and Ymir throw empty threats their way. Sasha, being neutral, tried to calm both parties and bring them to a consensus, but to no avail. Not even three minutes later after the match had ended, Ymir, who had tried to calm down Historia, stood up and proposed another game, one in which she made sure she had the upper hand. Motivation and determination can do a lot of things to a person. For example, seeing her beloved cry was what fuelled the brunette to destroy Mikasa and Annie, intercepting their every ball over the net and smashing it to the floor, earning themselves plenty of points.
Next to them, the boys had also set up a football game. Jean was teamed up with Marlo and Bertholdt, while Eren was with Armin and Reiner. Connie took upon the role of being the referee, bringing his fingers to his mouth and failing miserably to whistle, only managing to produce wheezing sounds accompanied by saliva spraying anything within a two meters’ radius whenever there would be a fault or any other rule violation. Jean’s team was leading with Marlo as their goal getter and him defending flawlessly any attempt at scoring the other team made. The game carried on like this for ten minutes until he decided to glance in the girls’ direction. Sasha just bounced the ball over the net, the object spinning rapidly in the air and to the right side of Mikasa’s and Annie side, falling to the ground fast. Despite being almost impossible to catch, Mikasa ducked down at the last moment, intercepting it with her forearms in a platform pass in Annie’s direction, once again proving her inhumane abilities. Sure the rebound was impressive but what caught Jean’s attention was the way her spine bent, her hips arching up then landing with a thud on the ground, and most importantly, how the skin on her ass bounced slightly at the contact, deranging her Brazilian red bathing suit. At the moment Jean opened his mouth unconsciously in amazement. Eren, who had been watching the whole scene unfold, shot the football right in the fucker’s face, making his jaw and face scrunch in the opposite direction as the ball collided with his face. Jean let out a pained groan and stumbled to the ground.
“You fucking creep! Stop staring at my girlfriend. Also we just landed a goal on you.” Eren laughed then high fived with Reiner.
“I wasn’t looking! This game’s just so lame I intentionally distracted myself.” Jean sneered, rubbing at his face.
A little further in front of them, three absolutely lovely ladies were relaxing on their towels, working sun screen onto their skin with delicate rubbing movements. Hitch, being the palest out of all of them rubbed the most sun screen, claiming over and over again that she by no means could turn up to training looking like a crab at training the next day. Nanaba was chatting amicably with Petra. This was one of the first times they were able to talk outside of the Corps as they were on different squads, thus almost never having the time to do so. In the water in front of them, Eld, Gunther, and Auruo were trying to surf. But with the waves being so tame and low in height they just sat on their boards engaging in light conversation, each of them cracking a joke every now and then. Suddenly, something brushed again Auruo’s foot where it was resting on the sea’s floor. He shrieked in fear, disturbing his balance and falling with a big splash in the water. As he emerged from the water, he took a closer look and found a crab crawling across the sand. Auruo looked for a moment in the direction of the girls and with a mischievous smirk on his face, grabbed the creature carefully and headed in their direction. Poor Petra, oblivious of the danger that was approaching her in the form of her boyfriend, was resting on the towel on the verge of slumber when the cretin threw the creature on her. With an annoyed huff Petra opened her eyes, immediately focusing them on Auruo, whose gaze was directed at her stomach. Raising an eyebrow in question, she also directed her gaze there only to be found with the crab now crawling rapidly on her body. With a blood curling scream, Petra stood up and grabbed the poor creature, yanking it in the direction of his face. The crab, now completely confused and dizzy, grabbed the nearest object: Auruo’s ear, squeezing the piece of cartilage with an iron grip, drawing out a shriek of pain from the man. He grabbed the crab, freeing his ear from the excruciating pain, and threw it in a random direction. His plan had gone completely wrong. Without having time to recover from the abuse his ear received, his face was slapped by a very angry Petra.
“You moron, you completely and utterly stupid cretin of a man, how dare you?!” Petra shouted, grabbing his injured ear, making Auruo bite his tongue and drawing from the regretful man a tear that streamed down from his right eye right to the bottom of his jaw. The display made the red head soften slightly, “Don’t pull that shit ever again on me or I swear to god I’m gonna drop your sorry ass right then and there.” Auruo nodded earnestly then leaned and pressed a kiss to his girlfriend’s cheek.
Not only was the beach beautiful but it also had a wooden pontoon that extended far away into the water to regions where the depth was around 20 meters, right above a coral reef, much to Hange’s delight, who was frantically pulling their diving suit on then equipping themselves with the oxygen tank, goggles, and swimming fins. Moblit was trying to keep up with his partner in crime but found it impossible as he lacked the energy the other was seething with. Hange was first in the water, bitting on the breathing tube and drawing in a few breaths to test it, then put on her goggles with a slap, before submerging, not sparing a look behind to see if the other had followed them. With a sigh, poor Moblit jumped in the water, following them closely behind.
On the same pontoon, on the left side, Erwin, Levi, and Mike were fishing; rods in each of their hands. Levi didn’t find the activity at all appealing. It was just an excuse to hang around his husband. Was he being clingy? Yes, but he didn’t give a fuck. However, the other two seemed to be genuinely interested. They talked about all the kinds of fish they would like to catch, and made those awful dad jokes that just made Levi want to throw them both in the water. Suddenly, something tugged at his rod. He didn’t pay much attention but after a second, third, and fourth tug happened, he started working the reel, pulling whatever caught his lure. When he saw it wouldn’t budge, he pulled harder. By now, Erwin and Mike noticed that he had caught something and were watching him earnestly. As his struggle increased, Erwin started helping him pull but it still wouldn’t move. Mike decided to join and the three of them pulled, finally managing to pull the thing in their direction. The enormous fish emerged from the water with a high arched jump, landing directly on Levi, spreading his fluids all over his face. The man gag angrily before pushing it off then jumping in the water. After he rubbed his skin raw, the raven emerged from the water with a pissed off expression, only to see the thing’s lifeless body in Erwin’s hand. The fish had a pretty impressive size, but what softened Levi was not its size or his beautifully coloured body, all phosphorescent pink, greens, pinks, and purples, but Erwin’s pleased smile. Sighing, he climbed back on the pontoon and took the fish from Erwin’s hands and dropped it in the bucket.
“Filthy thing.”
As night finally settled over the beach, the group sat themselves around the bonfire Reiner and Bertholdt had managed to light up. Now huddled closely against his husband’s chest, Levi couldn’t help but feel completely at peace. Finally the danger had passed and they were now able to enjoy themselves fully without the fear of dying the next day. Mikasa and Eren were also cuddling together with a blanket Eren had brought, engulfed in their own world, engaging in hushed conversation accompanied by occasional kisses to the crowns of their heads, cheeks, and lips. Annie was laughing softly at something Armin was saying, running her hands through his hair, where he rested his head on her lap. Petra was telling a story to Eld, Gunther and Auruo, waving and motioning aggressively, her eyes wide open and the tone of her voice oscillating between loud and soft, depending on the events of the story. Hange was making observations about today’s research expedition or to put it simply: diving session, while Moblit was sketching furiously the kinds of marine life he saw today. The others were in their own small circle listening to Jean play the guitar, accompanied by Sasha’s and Hitch’s sweet voices, forming a calm and slow…love song? Judging by the warmth Levi’s stomach filled with, maybe it was a love song or a friendship one. One about hardship and finally finding relief and closure, whatever it was he could relate. As this song came to an end, Jean changed the chords and intonation signaling the beginning of a new song. Sasha and Hitch, apparently also familiar with it, began humming slowly at first, then chanting, then fully singing:
Well you didn't wake up this morning 'cause you didn't go to bed
You were watching the whites of your eyes turn red
The calendar on your wall was ticking the days off
You've been reading some old letters
You smile and think how much you've changed
All the money in the world couldn't buy back those days
You pull back the curtains
And the sun burns into your eyes
You watch a plane flying
Across a clear blue sky
This is the day, your life will surely change
This is the day, when things fall into place
You could have done anything, if you wanted
And all your friends and family think that you're lucky
But the side of you they'll never see
Is when you're left alone with your memories
That hold your life together, like glue
You pull back the curtains
And the sun burns into your eyes
You watch a plane flying
Across a clear blue sky
This is the day, your life will surely change
This is the day, when things fall into place
This is the day (This is the day)
Your life will surely change
This is the day (This is the day)
Your life will surely change
As the song came to a stop, Levi finally identified the feeling that kept invading his stomach: love. He loved all of those people, although he would never admit it. Finally being able to see them be truly happy and enjoying the remaining of their lives, no longer in fear of the titans, was making him incredibly happy. With a soft and content smile now grazing his, he spoke:
“I wish this day would last forever.”
“Summer’s just begun, darling.” Replied Erwin, nuzzling and kissing the crown of his lover’s head. They now had their whole lives ahead of them; a million more days to enjoy, sunrises and sunsets to watch, and appreciate the existence of those to which they were close.
Notes:
The song mentioned in this fic is The The - This is the day. Thank you so much for reading my fic, notes and comments are welcomed. I honestly love them so much, each of them deserved so much more but Isayama is the devil incarnate so he won't let us have that. However good thing we have our imaginations, otherwise I'm sure none of us would have been able to cope. Obviously, I do not own any of the art or the characters of the show. This was just what fuelled my inspiration. Thank you so much for taking the time to read it!! Also check me out on Archive of our own @logllady99
