re: your twitter, i would love to read an essay about maester aemon's advice. i think a lot of people are on the same page about jon going hogwild in interpreting it, but contextualizing it within aemon's own relationship to power/prophecy/masculinity as well sounds fascinating. examining aemon as a person with an in-universe history rather than just a "wise advice dispenser" like he tends to be discussed as would go crazy

tyyy yeah the more i think about it the more interesting the topic gets…. he’s also just a chronically underanalyzed guy in terms of being a character in his own right exactly!!! esp in the context of him giving the same love is the death of duty/kill the boy advice to aegon who ends up internalizing it as targ blood curse fodder lol. like why would you tell that to someone AGAIN. so maybe i’ll start picking at it we’ll seeeeee 👀👀
