Aaa tumblr deleted my ask before I was done smh, anyway I was wondering who you think would do better at the ifuudoudou dance/shuffle, ass gang / she trio ?(stardew) i think they’d both give up in the middle from the quick-exhaustion, or how funny it’d probably be to see those sillies knocking each other over.

Aww man the ASS gang would DEMOLISH the SHE trio doing the ifuudoudou shuffle. Something something about being old and their old man knees (Abigail’s words). And in this essay I will explicate my take on the dance battle:

I can imagine the ASS gang would have to teach them how the dance moves first. The SHE trio practices for a bit. Harvey and Shane would definitely have a little with coordination (especially with the double bounce) but they get it down and are actually some what in sync as a group. Since Elliot was able to pick up on the dance moves quicker, he somewhat moves a little faster than the other two. Harvey tends to get flustered in the middle and would flail his arms trying to catch up to Elliot’s tempo thinking he messed up somewhere. Poor Shane would strugggglllleeeee with cardio. He blames the fact that he’s hungover to save face (he’s not, he’s been sober for a while, Elliot and Harvey pick up on this and just teases him)

He does quickly recover though!!!! Not his fault Abigail tends to forget to do the double bounce though hahahah. Sebastian has *perfected* the dance catch him practicing in between doing freelance programming.

I have this Idea™️ during the shuffle battle, Elliot realizes the song lyrics is quite scandalous and catches Sebastians eyes and they have a some kind of telepathic conversation which causes Sebastian to get flustered and embarassed at the implication of the lyrics. Elliot just laughs in amusement and nearly falters. Abigail in the middle of egging on the SHE trio notices this and calls out Elliot for the sabotage! Shane, tired of her teasing, tells his buddies to avenge him before collapsing on his ass, completely out of breath. Harvey to check on him but Shane waves him off. Also Sam nearly knocks everyone out trying to match up with the direction his hands should be facing, almost tripping on Shane. 😂 😂 😂

Hey! As someone who's only kinda recently started getting into Blind Channel, can you "introduce" the band members to me/tell me any fun facts? 😊

It's okay if not, I just feel like it's so fun hearing it from other fans than trying to dig it out myself LOL

Welcome friend 🖤

You're about to get an essay 😂 anyone please add in, this isn't an all inclusive list of everything about them.

Let's start with Joel - vocals (and guitar depending on if you're going back to the first couple albums)

Joel is the oldest member of the band at 30, has ADHD, has dealt with insomnia, talked about being bullied in highschool, handles the band's social media, has a wine and has made a lot of references to dating his hand 😂

He is one half of the (t)error twins with Joonas, such named by the other members of the band for their chaos and having the same birthday, one year apart. He has said more than once that Joonas is his closest friend and they're found hanging out a lot outside of the band, they have been called an old married couple, always squabbling (but with a lot of obvious brotherly love)

Joonas - guitar

Second half of the (t)error twins, sings backing vocals, has been photographed with his dick out on more than once occasion, has a naked painting of himself, he's (sometimes questionably) a fashionista, and is known to have a rather sensitive digestive system.

Joel met Joonas in highschool after their own bands ended and became friends, eventually decided to form their own band, Joonas had already been in a band with Olli and their now tour manager Santeri, and previously in one with Tommi. Joonas, Olli, and Tommi are childhood friends prior to highschool.

Niko - vocals

Niko went to the same highschool as the other founding members, but hung out with a different crowd. Joonas, Olli, and (maybe) Tommi were at a house party, Linkin Park’s In The End came on, Niko rapped Mike's parts and Joonas invited him to join him for the band’s first practice the next day. Joel picked him up, even though they hadn't met.

He plays and teaches piano, writes most of the band's lyrics (though there is collaboration), has a kitty named Rommi, has a long term girlfriend, Joonas lived with them for a while. He has a large band symbol on his side with roses for each of the band members (minus Aleksi, but he does have a matching tattoo with him)

Tommi - drums

Papa bear himself! Lot of bear references with him, he has the nickname nalle (teddy bear in Finnish) from the band. He used to drive the band around when they were still in vans rather than tour buses and his job in the band is to “have final say”.

There's a single brain cell in this band, and most of the time it seems like Tommi has it, but every once in a while he's as dumb (affectionate) as the rest of them. He and Olli are the only two still in the band's hometown and as far as we know he is the only member of the band without tattoos. And he's a nurse!

Olli - bass

Called the most beautiful member of the band by his bandmates and known to eye-fuck any camera that happens to be focused on him.

Or if you happen to be watching them live 😳 it's intense.

He used to have gauges. There are several photos and videos of him and Joonas just holding hands 🖤 (lots of love in this band)

He can come off as a bit of an airhead, the biggest example of this is his poor bass Simba (rip) that he left on top of a van at a gas station, didn't realize until they had left and was far far down the road. He did eventually get it back but it was destroyed.

He designed their newest stage outfits and even sewed the patches on himself. He used to work at a hospital transporting patients.

Aleksi - DJ/percussion

Newest member of the band and only non-original member.

Had/has a solo DJ career and career as a producer as Alex Mattson, and accidentally ignored Joel in 2016 when he reached out to talk about a collab.

He ended up meeting Joel and Joonas at a Bring Me the Horizon concert in November of 2016 (where they also met Joonas (Johnny) Parkkonen) and they cleared up the accident and became friends.

He collaborated with them and help with song writing/production before he officially joined the band in 2020

Baby of the band and a menace. He got his first tattoo with a couple members there to hold his hand, I think it was Joel and Niko, Joonas went with him to get his band tattoo.

He grew up around the music scene (his dad is a booking agent) and was a drummer in a band as a kid. He has a little dachshund named Rilla

Joel, Joonas, Niko, and Aleksi all have the band's symbol tattooed on them. Joel's is in his arm, Joonas has it in his hand, Niko on his side, and Aleksi near his wrist.

I don't think Steve really would ~this is crack headcanon~ but it tickles me to think that after coming out of the ice Steve would get hooked on heavy metal music. Like everyone is expecting this dorky, gee-golly, mystified man out of time but they really get an angry punk who sprints marathons and kills punching bags with metal blasting in his headphones 😂

no you say you don't think steve really would, but the thing is, i wholeheartedly and 100% can envision it. because i always imagine the inside of steve's head to be somewhat loud, despite his cool, collected exterior. the thinly veiled heat, simmering constantly. and music has always been a comfort to him in that way. taking some of that noise and dampening it.

but upon waking up in the 21st century and discovering a whole new world of music, he learns that there's genres out there that don't dampen the noise in his head, but match it. a thrumming bass, a loud, wailing, chuggy guitar. rough voices and raw lyrics that feel like everything he can't find words for except in the strokes of a paintbrush.

and i imagine it overlapping with his art. and bucky notices, too. knows its been a rough day when he can hear the raw metal flowing from beneath his studio door. knows that if he walked in there, he'd find steve with paint on his hands and the walls smeared with the gunk inside his head. reds and blacks and alarming yellows. pain that doesn't have a name, but has a form in this space. screams that steve would never let out with his own voice, but can feel in the way the drums and bass shake the room as he lets everything pour out onto a canvas or a wall or a piece of paper or what have you.

and bucky lets him be on those days. knows he needs space. just pops in every so often to leave a sandwich or some water so steve at least doesn't forget to take care of himself somewhere in the thick of his processing.

and i always pictured steve as the kind of guy that can really veer toward any genre of music-- has a deep appreciation for all its beauty-- but there's something particularly cathartic about the heavier stuff

And the fact that his grim expectations is what happened for the first 2 years he had at NRC.... 😭😭😭

Imagine Lilia trying to cheer him up that it'll be better next time... That he'll surely get along with someone eventually 🥹🥹 but Malleus is tired of getting hopeful about a companion now bcs he experienced way too often that this hope is always not going to be met💔

In exception of this line being a reference to Yuu being Malleus' good friend--- this vignette is also nice because we see him work together for a performance with other NRC students without anyone making rude comments about his status 🥹🩷💝💞 like this is essentially what Lilia envisions Malleus' school years to be... A memory where he gets along with everyone 🥹✨✨

THK Episode 2 Rambling Thoughts

Still obsessed with this show. All four boys have firmly established their characters, which continues to fascinate me.

Some stuffs that strike me as I watched the episode for the 4th time 😂….

1) Bison and Fadel’s opening scene - Bison is suffering from burnout while Fadel is exhausted (with everything).

Bison being more careless with the job? - not only it is a sign he is getting distracted by Kant but also signalling to Fadel he no longer cares about what could happen if they get caught (and I’m sure this will bite them back in the future). We already see glimpses of it - the police are suspicious of them, which means they have already been making mistakes.

Fadel’s world (at present) consists of his brother, his one reprieved as a cook and assassin. He seems depressed and apathetic to everything else. So, when Bison calling him out saying he has “no heart” - it’s a reflection of Fadel’s emotional state. Luckily we have Style starting to shake his world.

2) Kant and Bison tug and war continues to be intriguing

I have no doubt they are attracted to each other. However, Bison despite his naivety (in some ways) is smart enough to be wary of Kant’s motive. You don’t get to be an assassin (plus having an older brother that keeps harping you to be careful) and not be somehow paranoid. So, while he allows Kant to court him (if you will), Bison still keeps Kant in arm’s length.

It’s fascinating to see Kant’s suave mask breakthrough time and time again each time he is denied by Bison. Must be a hit on his ego. And oh, what a nice surprised to see him being calculated - hiring Tawan, knowingly turning late to his date with Bison and then acting all possessive of Bison.

But it was only after Kant did the dance number with Bison that the latter thawed a little bit - giving him those sweet pecks on Kant’s cheek and lips (when previously he denied all attempts by Kant).

Speaking of which, the dance routine is cute and cheesy but has several hidden contexts - our boys matching each other moves? - tells me they are quite equal in their power balance here (even if at present Kant has the upper end because Bison doesn’t know the former is aware of his other occupation). And those lyrics!!! - it reflects the Bison state of mind - he doesn’t fully trust Kant (yet).

Either way, the sneak peak we have from ep 3 tells me the tug/war power balance will continue to occur and I’m looking forward to it

3) Style and Bison conversation in the burger joint is also interesting to me.

Style immediately clocking that Bison is Kant’s type. Bison giving his blessing for Style to pursue Fadel (and in fact wants Style to fall in love with Fadel, if possible) tells me Bison does care for his brother deeply. Similarly, Bison’s admission to Kant he allowed Style to pursue his brother because he wants Fadel to live a little (and the aim of Fadel being distracted was just a bonus).

It’s also the point where Style realised how to get under Fadel’s shield of armour. Bison hinting on Fadel’s nature gave Style the ability to know what he needed to do beyond just annoying Fadel to submission.

And since Style (out of all four of them) who actully has zero idea whatsoever of the situation - his actions towards Fadel is his genuine attempt to help Kant (what a good bestie 😂).

4) Which brings me to Style and Fadel relationship. Yes, Style is boisterous and shameless but he is also sharp and likeable, pretty much by everyone except for Fadel (soon to change!)

That’s why the sauna and locker scenes were great to watch. He realises Fadel despite his taciturn nature is attracted to him. Prior to the Bison/Style conversation, Style’s method of flirting with Fadel was more relentless badgering mixed with some cheeky revenge (he probably wasn’t thinking much of seducing the man, beyond just wanting to distract Fadel from noticing Bison/Kant interaction).

But soon after that, he shifted gear and lean on seducing Fadel with his look and body more (good on him).

And the ending scene of Fadel being angrily upset with himself cause he can’t help but be attracted to Style? - oh yes, that really reflects the turmoil in his mind.

Can’t wait to see how this unfolds in episode 3 😆

- also, I am intrigued by Bison decision to draw his brother’s daily activities rather than writing it down. It kinda tells me he is artistic and likely detailed orientated. The latter important for his job as an assassin while the former is what he really wants to pursue in his life.

ALRIGHTY gotta preface this, I actually hate this song 😂 Lyrics aren’t bad, but the like accent thing she does makes me die a little bit. BUT. I saw what you were going for (I think)! So here it is, I suffered through listening to this song bc you asked for a fic and I am nothing if not eager to please.

This is also a response to two other requests. So if that was you, ✌️😗 y’all were on the same page, congratulations. This is also my first song-based fic, although all of my works are (very, very loosely) based on songs. That’s why they have such insane titles😅 ANYWAY that’s enough talking from me. Enjoy!

i love my hometown as much as Motown, i love So-Cal

Richmond in London is very different from your hometown in Southern California. It’s colder, for one. And older. Things in California don’t have the same extended history as they do in England. You’re here visiting family for a couple months, although your cousins are trying to convince you to stay longer.

“What do you really have waiting for you in California?” Holland asks.

“Uh, the beach. Sun. Great Mexican food.” you respond.

Holland isn’t buying it. “When else are you going to be able to live here? We can help you get a job and all that, not a huge problem.”

Holland is very convincing. You decide to stay for a year, single year, and see what happens.

Holland is four years older than you, and has always been the cousin you’re closest to. You’ve had a long-standing bond since being the two eldest sisters in your family. Holland takes you to clubs and introduces you to her friends, including a Miss Keeley Jones who thinks you are “abso-fuckin-lutely adorable.”

“You have to bring her to a Richmond match, babes,” Keeley says. “Lots of fit footballers.” She winks.

You ask Keeley of she’s dating a footballer.

“Oh god no,” she shudders. “A coach.”

You don’t really see the difference.

It was a good match, even you can tell. The Richmond team played seamlessly, passing the ball back and forth without letting the other team even touch it. Their conductor of sorts, the one mediating the passes, was crazy. He never seemed to get tired, anticipating his teammates’ moves and those of the opposing team. It seemed like he was always five steps ahead of everyone. Holland notices you watching him and pokes Keeley.

“You like Jamie?” Keeley laughs. “Makes sense. Anyone with eyes likes him. He’s right fit, too. Good in bed, shit with feelings. Well, used to be. Still fucking cocky.”

That’s interesting. “You’ve been with him?” you ask.

Keeley gives you a 50/50 hand motion. “Sort of. Don’t really count it, do I? Was with him at his fucking worst. That’s why Roy fucking hates him.”

“He’s much better now,” Holland chimes in. “Something happened last season and he stopped being such a dick.”

“Holland!” you reproach, laughing. “That’s not nice!”

She and Keeley shrug. “It’s true though, innit?”

You don’t know if it is, because when you first see Jamie up close in the club later that night, he seems perfectly fine. You see a flash of a smile, a dimple, then he says something (you don’t know what) but his accent is… something else. It’s not like Holland’s, or any of your family, but you know enough to pinpoint it to Manchester.

“The accent got you, didn’t it?” says a voice near your ear and you yelp as Holland slides her arm around your shoulder.

“Gets the best of us,” says Keeley, grabbing your hand. “C’mon, I’ll introduce you.”

She drags you over despite your protests.

Regular dinner dates are scary, but dinner dates with a Premier League footballer are downright terrifying.

You made Holland help you figure out what to wear, and when she showed up at your aunt’s house she had Keeley in tow.

“Heard you’re in need of a bit of a makeover,” she grins. “Lucky for you, that’s my specialty.”

Keeley and Holland have brought some of Holland’s dresses and you’re in a dark green one that “does fucking wonders for your hair, babe.”

Keeley did your makeup while Holland curled your hair and just like that, you’re ready to go.

You groan, “God, I fucking hate first dates,” while shaking out your arms.

“It’ll be fine,” Holland promises, and she’s right.

It’s more than fine. It’s fucking fantastic.

“I like your smile,” Jamie says. “Fuckin’ American, it is.”

You laugh. “What does that even mean?”

Jamie shrugs. “It’s bigger. Brits are more reserved. Like Roy. You met Roy yet? Biggest fucking twat I ever saw,” but he says it with such affection that you’re sure he means something else.

His eyes are electric, blue and dazzling. They betray his every thought and feeling and right now you feel like if you hold his gaze any longer you’re going to say something completely stupid.

Turns out your not the one to say something stupid; he is.

You’re walking back to his car, holding hands and swinging them in between you when he stops and says, “Darling, I fancy you.”

You grin and he returns it. He asks, “Was that British enough for you? Feel like you got the whole experience?”

“Definitely,” you say. “Was I American enough for you?”

“Dunno,” he replies, “Got to test one more thing.”

His lips are very soft on yours.

“This is Isaac, Colin, Dani, and Sam.”

Jamie is introducing you to some of his team. You’ve been dating for a month now, and your first picture together just popped up in the papers the night before.

The boys of AFC Richmond were pretty sure Jamie was seeing someone, but they didn’t know who it was. Jamie had set up this dinner thing a while ago, it just so happened that the tabloids got to you first.

It’s not even that great a picture honestly, but you’d been around Nelson Road enough that the boys were able to recognize you.

It’s a little unnerving to meet them, what with Isaac’s intense stare and Dani’s wide, wide smile. You’re grateful Colin and Sam are acting normal.

“We have an American coach,” Colin says in an attempt to break the ice. It does, because you’re all laughing at the absurdity of his attempt.

“We have heard very much about you,” Dani says and you wonder if he ever stops smiling. It feels so weird and so normal to be at Jamie’s house with a pile of food and FIFA queued up on the TV, ready to go. You figure that if you’re meeting his friends, Jamie must be at least a little serious. He finds your hand and squeezes it under the table as Isaac cracks his first smile of the night. It’s weird dating a footballer, but you think you can get used to it.

Jamie’s house is the largest you’ve ever been in, and it used to be strange that it was only just the two of you, clattering around that big home.

It’s a cool night after a warm day so you both decided to lay in his backyard under the stars.

It feels so much like something you’d do as a teenager, and you tell Jamie as much.

“Used to sneak on me mum’s roof,” he tells you. “Didn’t even do dumb shit, I’d just go to look.”

You lay there in silence for a few moments until you feel something tickle your side.

“Jamie!” you shriek.

“I didn’t do nothing!” he protests. “Must’ve been a bug.”

You don’t believe him, but you don’t push it until you feel another tickle.

“Babe!”

“Babe, it weren’t me, I swear,” he says and you really don’t believe him, especially when he tickles you again less than a minute later.

You laugh. “Fuck you, Jamie Tartt.”

He smirks. “Babe, don’t threaten me with a good time.”

“Hm, maybe I want a good time.”

Jamie’s grin widens and he sits up. “You know where the bedroom is, love.”

“I don’t fucking get it,” Jamie says. You shrug.

“I literally don’t either,” you say. Your dad leans over to Jamie. “So basically…” he begins.

He’s halfway through his explanation when Jamie pokes you. “Babe,” he says, “can we switch seats so I can hear your dad better?” You chuckle then wiggle your way into Jamie’s seat while he gets into yours.

“Why the fuck is it called ‘football’ if it’s with their hands?” Jamie asks.

Your dad shrugs. “Not a clue, son, not a clue.”

The game progresses and one of the teams scores a touchdown.

“Hold the fuck up,” Jamie says. “Why did their score change that much?”

“I know this one!” you exclaim. “Different types of goals get different points. And there’s something called a lateral which has to do with moving backward I think?”

You dad just shakes his head with a grin and doesn’t attempt to clarify.

Your dad spends the second half explaining everything to a very focused Jamie, and he asks questions the entire car ride home. It’s funny have Jamie here in America, staying at your parents house and seeing where you grew up.

When you’re finally back home and in bed, you pull him as close as you can and whisper, “I love you very, very much. You know that, right?”

You can feel Jamie smile against your hair. “I love you too, very fucking much.”

Task Force 141 as Led Zeppelin Songs (based mostly on vibes and 10% lyrics)

Soap- Ramble On (Whole Lotta Love was my first thought but I think this fits him better, optimistic and courageous)

Ghost- In the Light (a bit unnerving/ intimidating but overall has an interesting message. The lyrics, "And if you feel that you can't go on and your will is sinking low. Just believe and you can't go wrong" and "I know how it feels cause I have slipped through the very depths of my soul")

Gaz- Heartbreaker (this one is pretty straightforward 😅 Gaz is a looker and the groove is funky and he's the first one I pictured. He's similar to Price to me though so Kashmir could also apply to him tbh)

Price- Kashmir (I wanted to give Price my favorite song, Since I've Been Loving You, since he's my personal favorite but the lyrics of this song really work for him. "All I see turns to brown as the sun burns the ground. And my eyes fill with sand as I scan this wasted land." And "pilot of the storm that leaves no trace")

Laswell- Communication Breakdown (This honestly just made me giggle, Kate is the liason between the 141 and pretty much everyone else and "communication breakdown" is her whole goddamn job)

Nik- Dazed and Confused (this was based 100% on vibes alone, couldn't help but picture him scream singing this in the heli 😂)

Farrah- Ten Years Gone (I really struggled to find one that suited Farrah and almost picked Kashmir for her, but the "rivers always reach the sea" reminded me of Palestine and Urzikstan is so similar to it that I couldn't help but chose that for her. It's also such a similar balance of optimism and realism that matches her so well. plus "in the midst i think of you and how it used to be" makes me think of Hadir)

Alex- That's the Way (like Nik this was mostly vibes. This one is more gentle and subdued in tune, but the lyrics are a gut punch. Alex is CIA, the switch he makes to Farrahs side is done mostly on instinct and his personal moral code. He's kinda the antithesis to this song honestly, it's almost his transition from CIA dutiful agent to being a member of a rebellion)

(I honestly wanted to give Soap and Gaz all the horny songs. I also might do this again with Linkin Park....or maybe just the divorced dad music genre in general 🤔)

THE HUNT HAS FINALLY COME TO AN END! After recent discoveries, fans have finally made their break-through in the amara search and found the new man in Amara Imani’s life. And surprisingly it’s none other than PSG-star player Kylian Mbappé.

The Imani Nation (newest name of Amara Imani fans) were able to link the football player to the singer after deeply analysing her lyrics in her songs from her new album. And now that we think about it, Imani had made it really easy for us to find her man if we only listened well enough to her.

Fans were able to detect that in her song “I think he knows”, the singer talks about her beloved living in 16th avenue, which happens to be the “rumoured” address of the star football player. And to make it even easier for us, Imani’s released single “Paris” practically tells us everything we need to know.

We also have confirmation that Amara Imani was in attendance at a psg match against Ligue 1 side Toulouse. And not only did Paris win their match but highlight was of course Kylian Mbappe's new celebrations after scoring twice. The french player swayed away from his usual celebration and drew a heart with his fingers before firing it into the direction of the public stands. For his second goal, he had lifted his shirt where fans were able to read the phrase, “told you so,” which we all assume was directed at her. Whether this was them officialising their relationship is still unknown to us.

What practically confirms their relationship though is the small soft launch that the couple did each on their side. Imani had accidentally posted a picture of a man, resembling Mbappé before deleting the story quickly— and that just minutes after Kylian Mbappé had posted a story of him at dinner with a girl. There’s also the dress that raises a lot of suspicion as we all recognise it from the award gala three years ago when it adorned Amara Imani’s body.
