Thinking about DP x DC Jason Todd being a revenant again. Here's my scenario. Jason gets called that by some ghost. He's like "what the fuck is that supposed to mean?" He's heard the term before but he doesn't know any actual lore. He googles it. He scrolls past the Leonardo DiCaprio bear movie. He opens the wiki. Sees the words "animated corpse" and gets a chill diwn his spine. He starts reading the first section.

He closes Wikipedia.

That night he has a nightmare that his family buried him, again, this time with precautions. He wakes up in his own grave, full of stones, too heavy to move, to scream.

I need codependent Danny/Jason as a little treat (for me) and I love the idea of them having some sort of instant connection the moment they meet (bc ghost stuff idk)

Danny who's been dropped in Gotham with no way home (alt universe??) and he's been here for 36 hours and having a Very bad time senses a liminal being and immediately latches onto them heedless of the fact that his new best friend is shooting at some seedy guys in an alley and goes off about how stressed he is and how he can't make it back to the ghost zone and what a bad day he's been having (and it's important to note Danny is a littol ghost boy literally hanging off of Jason's neck as he floats aimlessly) and Jason is like "who are you??" And Danny is like "oh sorry I'm Danny lol" and then just continues lamenting his woes

And honestly ? This might as well happen. Nothing about this Danny guy(is he human?) gives Jason a bad vibe and tbh he's never felt more calm and level headed before so he just keeps up his usual Red Hood patrol and doesn't even think about it when he heads back to a safehouse and feeds Danny dinner (breakfast) before crashing for half the day

The only thing I actually need is Jason meeting up with the bats for some sort of Intel meeting and they're like "uhhh who's that" and Jason is like "that's Danny." And does not elaborate (very ".... What do you have there?" "A smoothie" vibes)

And it takes them a while to realize that these two have known each other for less than 12 hours and are literally attached at the hip

All my years of never drawing horses has finally caught up with me sjfbjd

Anyway!! I was inspired by @dreemurr-skelememer 's amazing mlp sans au designs and I immediately had the idea of Nightmare as a changling so I had to draw it!

The whole universe was trying to stop this drawing I swear jdhfj. First my computers charging cord literally snapped in half and then the power went out- so this had to be drawn on my phone 🤣

I want to make a version with tentacles instead of wings so I'll make that eventually :] (probably later tonight sjfhd)

Some explanation for the design choices is below the cut! ->

• for the horn I wanted to do a broken horn of course, but I had the idea of magic that takes the form of tree bark coming from the original horn acting as a nod to the tree incident :]

• his hair is a mix of hair and the sludge magic so it basically has the consistency of hair with a ton of wet gel in it and constantly drips!

• I was sooo stuck between keeping the changling wings or doing tentacles but tbh I think either could work! But I'm still gonna draw the tentacles jshdjd

• I didnt have a lot of inspo for the outfit other than just doing the top neck part of a hoodie haha

Out of all of the people The Ghost King Phantom expected to relate to, it definitely wasn’t the scrawny red headed photographer of the Daily Planet. Jimmy Olsen has gotten so many temporary superpowers over his time being Superman’s friend. Hell, he once gained a 4th dimensional being’s reality warping abilities when he was given said dimensional being’s powers during a fight. Sure there’s a dozen or so heroes with the same amount of powers he has, but none as suddenly granted to them as a all powerful god that can relate to a teenager.
