I think two of the most important things about Jack Harkness, two things that inform almost everything he does and the choices he makes, are this: that he is a soldier NOT a leader, and that his entire life since childhood has been awash in survivor's guilt (and his whole existence after becoming immortal is an even more extreme version of survivor's guilt).
Jack is not a natural leader. He can think on the fly and he's good at getting people to listen to him, but he's not good at control, or at being objective. He's a natural second in command, he's a soldier. He was brought up to do what other people told him to, and to improvise if he had to (Time Agency, etc). But I really don't think he wants to be the leader of Torchwood. Unfortunately, everything about him means that he has to be. He knows from experience that others having control over him is dangerous, others knowing about his immortality while he's a subordinate to them is dangerous, and he also knows that his own immortality gives him an advantage as a leader. But I don't think he's good at leading. He tries to be. But he's fumbling along, in a time period he's not native to and a planet he's not native to and an unfathomable lifespan, and as charming as he is I think he's often not good with people. He's detached where he should be personal and emotional where he should be detached (or at least more level-headed). He's often too extreme or not harsh enough when it comes to things like discipline or dealing with the problems/traumas/mistakes of his employees or even civilians. He can't handle his employees seeing him uncertain/vulnerable and it makes for huge problems over and over again.
But all of this does make sense because I think in the back of Jack's mind there's always this wheel spinning, these gears turning and turning and calculating the impact and trauma each of his actions or decisions or the events around him are going to have on his own emotions for far longer than normal humans tend to consider. Because the catalyst for any part of the life we see him leading is survivor's guilt. He lost his father and his brother on the same day, joined the military and lost his best friend, joined the Time Agency and lost his memories (and maybe thinks he did something terrible). Then he died, and when Rose brought him back, he was all alone on the satellite with nothing but the corpses of the people who had fought beside him and zero explanation as to why he survived, and he had lost Rose and the Doctor besides. And then all his life on earth since, he has lost coworkers and lovers and civilians he tried and failed to save and probably also aliens he tried and failed to save. And I think by the time he becomes reluctant leader of Torchwood, every action is, whether conscious or subconscious, taken with the intent of minimizing that kind of trauma and the impact of loss.
Except that I think that the survivor's guilt has another layer to it, which is that feeling of needing to sacrifice or absolve himself in some way. No one else is willing to make the difficult decisions, no one else will move forward with the painful and unpleasant actions, even if there's no other way, even though they will someday perish and no longer see the ripples of their actions. But Jack - who cannot die, who must live with the guilt or the pain or the trauma of those actions and decisions for the rest of his very very very long life - is the one who realizes that he must take on those painful responsibilities and must do certain things even though they're terrible, because it ends up being the sacrifice of one over the whole world. And every single time, he's guilty about it, and that makes him want even more to sacrifice his own hurt for the grief and loss of others.
So it's this strange cycle of wanting to protect himself from hurt and from loss and from the survivor's guilt, but being driven by guilt towards painful and/or self-sacrificing actions. Which then makes him fear being seen as vulnerable or uncertain, and he struggles to do things on a smaller scale or in a more level-headed way, because he's not supposed to be leading like this, it's not something that comes naturally, and if he makes emotional connections by being a leader, he'll end up trapped in survivor's guilt yet again each time one of his employees or friends or lovers dies.
It's just a terrible cycle and he's trapped in it for the rest of his existence. Although if he really is the Face Of Boe, then I imagine at some point he eventually finds peace with it all or something, but I think so long as he has a human-form he's stuck with this cycle of leadership and loss and sacrifice and mistakes.
I think it's really important that Jack is not good at his job as a leader. He makes a ton of mistakes, he fucks up so much and his employees or even civilians end up collateral damage, whether physically or just emotionally. He wants to be a good leader, I think, and he's trying, but he's fallible, and he's a stranger in literally every sense, and I think a really big part of his character is that he constantly is forced to live in this bizarre dichotomy where he has to be both very distant and cold and detached, and also very emotional and intense and personal. And any other person would collapse under the stress of repeating that over and over and over again for decades, but he has to figure out how to navigate this weight as an infinite existence that can't ever collapse or let it burn him up and kill him.
#torchwood#torchwood meta#jack harkness#it's 4am i'm just rambling tbh#don't even get me started on the whole being buried underground for thousands of years thing either#i'm writing a fic about this theme of jack's guilt/survivor's guilt (kind of) so this idea has been on my mind#but like i said it's very early in the morning so i don't know if this is very eloquent or makes much sense to anyone but me#but i generally have a lot of torchwood thoughts/feelings/opinions so sometimes they just need to be released into the world even half bake

Swan Song | Jake Hangman Seresin |
Carole Bradshaw was pregnant when Goose died. Newly pregnant, too early to even know. The pregnancy was hard, not just emotionally but physically. The birth was even harder, but in the end Carole was left with a beautiful baby girl. She had Goose’s eyes from the start, big and brown, just like her big brother Bradley. Her smile was contagious from the very beginning and soon she was growing into a beautiful young woman.
Y/N was very close with her big brother Bradley. They were nearly inseparable. So when Bradley joined the Navy, it took everything to convince Y/N that she shouldn’t follow in his footsteps. She went to college nearby, and got her degree slowly but surely. And once it was all said and done, and Bradley had a permanent position at Miramar, Y/N joined him there.
“C’mon! Just take me for one drink!” You begged your older brother, “You never let me meet any of your friends! Even Penny said you should let me come!”
“Penny needs to mind her own business,” Bradley grumbled, throwing on one of your dad’s old Hawaiian shirts.
“No, Penny definitely needs to butt in more,” You argued, “She wants me to actually make friends here. Outside of the studio!”
“You’re the one who decided to move here,” Bradley pointed out.
“And you’re the one who keeps me virtually locked up here!”
“It’s my job to protect you. None of the people I work with are worth knowing, anyway, aside from Phoenix maybe.”
“Great, so introduce me to Phoenix!” You begged.
“One drink,” He held up one finger, eyebrows pinched tight. He wasn’t joking. You were his baby sister, it was his job to look after you and protect you from everyone and everything. Including everyone he worked with.
He wasn’t even sure if the Daggers knew he had a little sister. Phoenix and Bob knew, because they were Phoenix and Bob. But the others had no idea, and Bradley planned on keeping it that way if he could help it. He wanted you to stay as far away from military men as you possibly could
“Two,” You bargained.
“Fine, then you’re coming home.”
“You have to play me one song too,” You said firmly, “One round of Great Balls and I’ll be happy.”
“You have yourself a deal,” He sighed, “Now c’mon. Let’s go before I change my mind.”
You threw your arms up in victory and ran to go change quickly out of your leotard. Twenty minutes later, you were pulling into the parking lot of the famous Hard Deck. Another five minutes after that and you had a cocktail in your hands as you watched Brad mingle with various people in uniform. He hated wearing his uniform to the Hard Deck, he always came home to change first.
“Penny, my dear, can I get another one?” A blonde asked, “Thanks darlin!”
You rolled your eyes and took another sip. Once the blonde had his new bottle of beer he turned his attention to you, which you were hoping to avoid. You had watched him watching just about every girl in this bar. He seemed to know everyone, and know all of the girls. It made you want to be sick.
“Now who might you be, sweetheart?”
You eyed Penny, who not so casually eyed the bell by the corner of the bar top. You wanted to laugh knowing she’d ring this guy in an instant for you. All you had to do was say the word.
“Not your type,” You replied, taking another sip, “Try the leggy blonde at the other end. She’s drooling over all of you patches.”
“I don’t think I want a tag chaser,” He replied, southern draw on full display, “What’s your name?”
You huffed before setting your cocktail down on the bar in front of you and turning slightly to face the man, “They call me Swan.”
“You a pilot?” He questioned, eyebrows raised.
“No, just related to one. My uncles gave me my own callsign when I was a kid,” you weren’t sure why you were even telling him any of this. You really wanted to tell him to fuck off back to whatever backwoods hovel he came from.
But there was something about the way he was looking at you that made you want to see a little more of him. His green eyes were intoxicating, and you were certain he used that to his advantage with all of the ladies. You didn’t want to be another notch on his bedpost.
Yet, you couldn’t help but squeeze your thighs together as he brought the bottle to his lips. You did a quick survey of the bar to see if Brad was anywhere around, but he was engrossed in a game of pool with several other uniforms. Maybe you could have a bit of fun tonight. Just for this one time.
“What do they call you?” You asked, leaning in a little further.
“Hangman.”
Fuck. You knew that name. He worked directly with Bradley, and obviously he had no idea who you were, otherwise he wouldn’t be talking to you. If he knew he would probably be fending off the guy at the other end of the bar who wouldn’t stop eyeing you.
“Well, Hangman,” You said leaning in a little closer, “Why don’t you buy me another drink?”
He smiled slowly and waved over one of the other bar tenders, Grace you think her name was, and then there was another drink in your hand.
“So, what brings you here? Never seen you before,” Hangman asks over the music.
“My brother and I live nearby, finally convinced him to bring me along with him tonight,” You replied simply.
“Do you need your brother’s permission?” He playfully questioned.
“I think you’ll find, Hangman, that I don’t need anyone’s permission to do anything.”
“Oh? Is that so?”
You drank the rest of your cocktail and slid off of the barstool, “Meet me in the bathroom in five minutes and find out.”
And that was the first time you fucked Jake Hangman Seresin. In the bathroom of the Hard Deck, while your brother and all of his friends were just feet away. Brad never found out though. Instead he marched his way over to the piano and started playing Great Balls the second you reappeared from the bathroom. You laughed and skipped over, sliding onto the bench next to him.
Jake was a little confused, watching you cozy up to Bradley when he’d been balls deep inside of you just minutes before. He was seething when you leaned over and kissed Rooster’s cheek. He didn’t think you were one to be fast and loose with everyone. But maybe he was wrong. After all, he didn’t even know your real name.
“Who’s that with Rooster?” He asked Phoenix through gritted teeth.
“Uh, I think that’s his little sister,” She replied, “Y/N, but everyone calls her Swan.”
Fuck. Jake Hangman Seresin was fucked. Because he’d just fucked Bradshaw’s baby sister. The baby sister that he only mentioned in passing because he had a picture of her in his locker and in his plane. Jake joked one day that she had to be a hell of a girl and Rooster let it slip, as if he didn’t even realize he’d said it. Maybe he didn’t. But Jake felt like he was going to be sick.
Did you know who he was?
When the music stopped Rooster came over to the Dagger group, you following closely behind him. You had a soft smile on your face as Bradley went around the group and introduced you. But when he got to Hangman you smile turned almost innocent, so much so it made Jake hard again just looking at you. You were smiling like you didn’t have his dick in your mouth, or so deep in your pussy that you kept saying you could feel him in your stomach.
“Hangman, this is my baby sister,” Bradley grumbled, “Y/N, this is Jake. But we all call him Hangman.”
You smiled again and stuck out your hand, “Nice to meet you, you can call me Swan.”
You were both very much fucked. Because all either one of you wanted to do was grab the other and continue what you started in the bathroom. All you wanted to do was kiss him silly in front of everyone, and then drag him to his no doubt, big pickup truck, and fuck him in it. Truth be told, that’s all Jake wanted to do too.
“Nice to meet you, Swan.”

COD family head cannons!
(This is more about their childhoods. Rather then how’d they be in a family.)
TW: child abuse, teen pregnancy, death, alcoholism, angst?
Gaz: gaz gives VERY only child. Single parent (mother, probably), I think she had gaz young. Like.. 16-17. But she kept little gaz. He more than likely spent his first few years in his grandparents house with his mum. Who was finishing secondary school. So he’s very close with his grandparents before they passed
. After his mum got a job they loved Into a small apartment in London And even though she was busy with work. Or collage (I kind of see his mum as a nurse) she still loves her boy. He always had the BEST outfits as a kid and he got his sass and fashion sense of from his mum <3 (He calls her mum. Says it like ‘muh-um.’ Because he’s British.)
his mum is a milf, and I stand by that,
when he went away, she cried, she was always scared he was working as a guard . But the army. SAS. Was much different, and even though she hated it, she supported it.
Price: price has very much older siblings vibes, younger brother and sister who where way younger, like gaz. He is a mamas boy./pos His dad is totally in the picture,I think he grew up. Not poor. But not without struggle,
his dad worked. A lot. And his mum stayed at home, he helped out with his siblings, since his dad was always at work, he’d pick them up from school bring them to sports games help with jobs around the house. (he always had one of them clinging onto them.) and his mum was very grateful for it all
his father was a functioning alcoholic, keeping his distance. That was his wife’s job to do. Ans besides he was working so much he was too exhausted to do anything with them when he got home,
i don’t think he’d hit them, But the ‘wooden spoon would come out if they had done something particularly bad (which would have been normal for the time) But he loved his kids.
His mum was a very English mum. Loved her tea. (Which is why price loves it. )And was very doting on her kids. Spent a lot of time with her eldest as he helped out so much! He visits his mum and dad all the time, brings her home magnets from the places he goes to on deployment <3
When price joined the military. 16, (cannon I think?) His mother supported him. The whole family came to do the ‘tap out’ thingy. That was the first time his dad showed affection with like. A firm handshake. (Or a hug. Whatever it was. It ment a lot to him)
soap: I’ve herd people say that soap grew up with an all girl household. I think this is so true. Three sisters. 1 younger 1 older and I think he’s a twin. Also a girl. I think they’re all super loud and giddy.
His dad I think- was a very soft spoken man. Who was super funny (probably an artist) and his mum was this cool ass lady. Who was definitely the boss of the house. But I think she has a temper she didn’t hit them. But she yelled a lot. Soap got his temper from her
I feel like he had grandparents who he HATED. Seeing that only spoke Scot’s Gaelic. So as a child she knew how to speak it pretty good as a child. But when they died he slowly lost the language.
He loved to blow things up. (He was that kid who made home bombs and blew them up in his backyard) and he got the scar on his chin that way
When he left for the military his family heard he left for the military. His mother an him got into a GIANT fight with his mum. Words were said. And long story short- she cut him off, he didn’t come home for holidays. But he wrote letters, they didn’t reply back
After his passing. The 141 tried to give his ashes to his family. They didn’t want it. They were Ofcourse so upset, but they wouldn’t bring themselves to take the urn, not after they cut him off. :(
Ghost
In the comics. Ghost had a less than savoury relationship with his family- I’m going to go with that. We know his father was a horrible person. He hit ghost he was an alcoholic just overall a monster , and I think he definitely protected his brother from the brute of the hitting- by picking fights with his dad when he got mad at his brother.
I think- he wasn’t a mamas boy. His mother was too depressed and too hurt to really bond with her sons. But as ghost is, he protected his mother. Helped her when his dad hit her. He was the real man of the house, he was a butcher and he provided for his family since he was 15. Since his dad was a jobless twat.
He was an angry kid, Ofcourse he was. He grew up in an angry home. He did well in school. But he wasn’t great at any subject, maybe wood work?.
He visits his mum and his brothers graves.brings them flowers.

I am really relived ;w;
I just really love your headcanon about König and wondered...
Would you maybe do Platonic Yandere! König, Simon Riley and Captain Price with Childhood friend! Y/n? (You can choose any of them)
I CHOOSE- all of 'em.
Pairing : König x reader, Simon "Ghost" Riley x reader, John Price x reader
Cw: dark, platonic yandere, threats, canon violence, murder.
Wc: 1.2k
König
Not much was known about König outside of his moniker and the basic knowledge about his specialty and kill count. People who are powerful enough to find his file will only know how he failed to qualify for a recon sniper and joined KorTac after being a part of KSK (the Kommando Spezialkräfte - the Special Forces Command).
His personal life, however, was something he guarded with his life, a secret he would bring to the grave. His civilian life was almost nonexistent, his file didn't even have his name, and the military simply knew him as König; King, in german - a king among kings.
He cherished few things in life, his life, and (Name), the person he grew up knowing and shared his pain with. You were his little secret within the world, something - someone - he would protect fiercely, even at the cost of his blood. You stood up for him when you were younger, you fought back against his bullies even when they towered over you; you'd worry about him and ease his anxiety when he felt panicked.
When he'd heard you joined the KSK, wanting to follow in his footsteps a year after him, his heart almost gave out, he wanted you safe and far from the front lines of war and battles. You were stubborn, pleasing your case with such ardor that he let you with the promise of staying by his side. Unlike him, you made it into the 5th platoon, a marksman of value after months of patience and practice, and when he left the KSK, he took you with him.
A battering ram, he was, fierce and dangerous when provoked, wherever you went, he goes; looming over your form like a shadow, scaring off people and some members of KorTac with the cold gleam in his steel eyes. His hands would linger protectively on you, your shoulder, arm, or back, anywhere that would deter people from approaching you; from wanting to hurt you.
Since you joined KorTac as their sniper, you'd be far from him, being a breacher and bettering ram had him on the line of fire often, the first on sight and the first to storm in. He was far from you, and he *hated* that, and he still does. If he could, König would lock you up where no one would know your secret and your existence, he didn't want harm to befall you.
König won't stop at anything to keep you safe, you were weaker than him, shorter than his 6'10, and fragile; to him, you were his childhood friend, his everything. He would do the same as you did to him when you were young, he would protect you.
Ghost
He was Ghost, named for being a ghost to the world, he used to be Simon Riley, someone who was alive, someone who existed, someone who had people waiting for him at home. Then he lost his whole world, his brother, step-sister, and noise died, killed by the people who tried beat him, tortured him, raped him, and attempted to kill him by burying him with the traitorous Major Vernon.
After leaving his life as Simon Riley, the blonde and brown-eyed man people knew, he became Ghost, a dead man walking - a zombie. He had lost everything he cared for, but when he learned that you survived, deployed elsewhere when the massacre of the Riley family happened.
It made his previous protectiveness spiral into an obsession, wanting to know where you were, what you were doing, where you were deployed, which base you were stationed at; everything and anything about you. When Price came with Task force 141, luck seemed on his side, he met you at the tarmac, waiting for him.
"Ghost, (n/n), but when it's just us, Simon is fine."
He was cold and brooding around others, less when you were beside him, but he still held the facade of a cold-hearted and dead Lieutenant Ghost. However, in your shared barracks, he would drop the mask he wears and Simon would come back, the sad, heartbroken man that survived and cared for nothing but you, the last of his previous life: his everything.
Both being snipers and infiltration specialists, he often found himself working closely with you, standing in front or beside you with a protective awareness. Although you were both soldiers - a Lieutenant and a Sergeant - and faced death many times, he wanted to keep you from harm, hold you, and put you somewhere safe.
He dreads the thought of finding you dead or receiving a call about your untimely death: (Name) K.I.A. He's had nightmares about your death, the risks of letting you continue working with the Task Force and simply knowing him, he wakes to you holding him, shushing and whispering his night terrors away - like you always did.
You helped him through his younger years, a place of comfort to him in his abusive household, now he'd do his best to keep you alive and by his side. Even though he can't shake the thought of you going M.I.A. or K.I.A., not having you by his side was irksome, a thought he pushed away. He wanted you with him, so he'd have to work harder, a few slips of his trigger finger in a freak accident, and the trip of his enemies' foot, and he'll have you safe and sound.
Price
He grew up in a traditional, conservative family, so every neighbor knew their neighbors, your family included. Although you were a few years younger than him - being six when he was ten - you quickly became best friends, glued by the hips wherever you went. He had to protect you, you were his adorable childhood best friend whom he loved so much.
When he joined the army, he remembered soothing your cries and your dazed pleas and promises: "Wait for me, John." He did, waiting impatiently for you to join the British army between letters and calls.
He had made enemies while on duty, especially with the formation of 141, it put a bigger target on his head, and whoever knew him; it was yours, especially, that worried him the most, even after having Laswell find and invite you.
He was a captain, and you, a lieutenant - first lieutenant, one rank over Ghost - by 2019. Having you in his Task Force made the weight of his worry lighter; having you on his team during deployment - always - made things easier for him; just having you in his presence made him more relieved. He dreaded and feared losing you to missions, to stray bullets, to traitors, or to the enemies he'd gained over the years.
The constant fear had him command you by his side, always with him in missions (behind him when you infiltrated a base, or near him in shootouts), in his office (saying that he worked better with you helping or sitting on the couch in his office) or bunking with him (he wanted you to sleep in the same barracks as him, it would be easier to protect you come the time of a surprise attack).
He knew you were able to defend yourself, to survive on your own as he's seen many times - you were second in command too - but he still worries, hoarding you to himself as you did as kids, by the hips.
He's a captain that doesn't fear getting his hands dirty if it meant keeping the world clean, the same would be said about keeping you alive and unharmed. He wasn't shy to hurt people or threaten them, he has connections and power, and he - John Price - knows what he's doing.

Imagine: Being Soap's Younger Sibling AFTER His Death
CW: Ghost being a cold bastard, slight angst, just a dumb drabble
very slight ghoap implication if you squint hard enough
_________________
You're Johnny's younger sister/brother. Shit, you're the youngest child out of the MacTavish children. One day, you get the news that Johnny died in the middle of a mission.
He never introduced you to the boys, never wanted you to be part of what he did. He wanted to protect you, wanted you to have a normal life he never got to have
But no, of course not. You're too stubborn to listen to anyone, even your late older brother. You decide to join up with the SAS shortly after Johnny's passing. The same cousin who had pulled Johnny into the army pulled some strings, and along with your outstanding skills, you got placed into Task Force 141 several years after joining the military.
Price's eyes practically bulge out of his head when Laswell brings you in to introduce you to the team. You look so much like Johnny that it hurts....Got his bright blue eyes and a squeaky clean face that makes you look like you could do no wrong. Obviously, Price is extremely hesitant about letting you join the team with you being Soap's youngest sibling and with how much you look like his late Sergeant. He was worried how the rest of the team would react to you being there, especially Ghost.
Laswell eases his worries just enough to get Price to cave....and soon enough, you're standing in front of what was left of the squad.
You could see the deep pain in Gaz's eyes as he tried playing it off like nothing is wrong. He comes up to you and immediately pulls you into a huge hug....but Ghost? He just stands off to the side. His eyes show nothing but anger and hate in them.
He's furious that you're here. You knew Johnny wouldn't want you here. You were blatantly disrespecting your late brother's wishes and memory all the while not seeming to care.
When you walked over to him to introduce yourself, he didn't say or do anything except stare daggers at you from beneath his balaclava. If looks could kill, you'd be dead a dozen times over. The way your brows furrow when he stays silent...The way you frowned as if offended that he was staying silent....the same exact facial expression down to the slight pout of your bottom lip. It was the same exact expression Johnny would give Ghost whenever the Scot would be annoyed with his best friend.
Ghost, with a slight huff, left the room without saying a single word to you. He would make it his mission to push you away, to make you want to leave and go back to your little farm home in Scotland so you could live the life Johnny wanted for you; not the life you wanted to live. He didn't care if this was what you wanted to do. All he cared about was Johnny. Not you....

I might turn this into something more than just a short drabble, maybe not. If someone wants to pick up the idea then go right ahead. I just had this idea while writing the third part for the Ghoap surrogacy fic and HAD to jot it down but I didn't want the idea to rot in my drafts for MONTHS on end

I wanna talk about Jacob Seed.
I think its impossible not be impressed by him during his presentation. He doesn't raised his voice all time, he dosent need that. His confidance is admirable. He knows he's right and don't care about makeing you believe on him: he knows you gona see for yourself sooner or later. I get fascinated by him.
You know, it would be too easy and kinda lazy just painted him as a tough brutalized military man. No, that's not suits Jacob. I was curious about understanding him.
According The Book Of Joseph, the eldest Seed brother took the most of the violence from their father, the Old Men Seed. But Jacob could handle that, after all, he is the bigest one and all he cares about is protecting his younger siblings. He despise his father for that, but he endure because of his brothers. Jacob know he could deal with all the beating, even Joseph could handle sometimes, but not the youngest one, not John. And when the violence of their father fall upon John, Jacob revide. And he got beaten even more.
You see, Jacob was the one who protects, the one who takes care. He is the one his brothers look for protection, care and affection. The one they look for love.
But all the bruises that the Old Man Seed left on the back of the young John call the atention of the teachers. And sooner, the three Seed brothers ended in a foster care.
It suposed to be the beginning of a normal life for them, filled with love and care.
But it was not.
The Seed brothers was adopted by a couple who wants workers to explore, nothing more. Not sons. And the world once again shows to the brothers his ugliest face. But this time, Jacob did something about: he sets the property of their foster family on fire.
Also, this time was diferent. This time the Seed brothers are separated from each other. Jacob ended in a juvenile center and later, his joined the military.
During his time in the army, Jacob see many horrors, many violence. But violence is something that Jacob knows how to deal with. After all, he grow up dealing with that every day. In the army, Jacob have been condecorated many times, he got respect and has his own group to leader. He becomes an major model of what a soldier should be. A war hero.
Until hes not.
Until Miller, his companion in army, colapse and Jacob have to take the most biggest decision of his life to keep going on. This and all the things he saw endende up breaking him completely. After all the bruises he accumulated, after have been burned during his service, his was discarted. Dismissed. He leave the army broken and traumatized. Jacob go to a veterans health center, but when he run out of money, they just left him in the streets.
Jacob was alone and broken. Not an expected ending to a war hero. They put in the record that Jacob has died and stop paying him. That's way his run off money and have to live in the streets. This is so fkng cruel.
When John and Joseph finally finds him, according The Book of Joseph, Jacob was in a shelter for homeless people, crying during his sleep, calling from his brothers. That is so heartbroken.
I mean, can you imagine Jacob Seed like that? When we saw him in the game, majestic, strong and confident, do you imagine him crying saying his brothers names?
Once Jacob was reunited with his siblings, he finds his purpose. He is the one who protects and he will guarantee that no one will ever separate them again.
Jacob is fascinating.
I find amazing that is he the one who play with our minds. The one who brainwashes us. Makes us his tool. Without raise his voice even once. And Jacob is so well constructed that during his trials, I find myself looking for his approval.
He is my favorite Seed.
I need to write about him.

I finally made a family tree for the “cosmic/crystal” royal family.
Btw this is gonna be really long lol
So starting off at the top we have Starswirl, the founder and first king of the Crystal Empire. He settled in the Crystal Tundra along with a handful of other ponies and was made king after fighting off a horde of Windegos and creating a magical barrier to protect them from the weather and the Windegos. Aside from being the founder of the Crystal Empire, Starswirl was known for his powerful magical abilities and having two horns. He also established the first magic university where other unicorns could hope to train to become as strong as him.
Next is Sombra. Sombra was a student at the magic university and eventually became a professor. He was known for challenging traditional and made great strides in improving spells and creating new ones. He was able to make such advances because he was also studying dark magic. At one point he discovered Shades, a race of ponies similar to Windegos but moved within shadows instead of in the wind. Sombra made a Pact with one, fusing them together so he could become more powerful. When the Crystal Empire found out what he had done he was banished. Sombra roamed aimlessly until he found a run down town in what would become Canterlot. The town was struggling to survive due to the presence of dragons and the Everfree Forest. Using his stronger magic Sombra was able to fight off the dragons and make a similar barrier to the one in the Crystal Empire to protect the town, in exchange they made him King and the Equestrian Empire was created.
Onto the second row:
Crystal Shore was the heir to the Crystal Empire. She was well liked in the kingdom and was rumored to be as strong as Starswirl, taking up the duty of maintaining the barrier. However she died of mysterious circumstances before she could take up the throne and the duty was passed to her brother Night Light
Nightlight wasn't as strong as Crystal Shore and eventually married the eldest daughter of the Equestrian Empire, Falling Dusk, so she could help him maintain the barrier.
Falling Dusk was essentially the perfect Princess. She was empathetic, ambitious, and strong. She also had a knack for bringing people together and created an ambassador program way before she married into the Crystal Empire to encourage peace through the land.
Her younger sister Celestial Morning wasn’t as… nice as her older sister. She was always more focused on the safety of the kingdom, contributing a lot to the military as an advisor. She was never too keen on the ambassador program, even less so when her sister married into a foreign kingdom instead of staying to rule their’s. Ceslestia eventually came around when she realized they would be given access to the Magical University since she also has an interest in magical studies.
Their youngest sister, Lunar Eclipse, was always a very sickly pony having been down with a disease that stunted her magic and kept her weak. Not much is known about Luna since she was barely seen outside of the palace and died at a young age.
Now into the 3rd and final row!
Shining Armor was born not long after Night Light and Dusk got married. He was always interested in the protection of their kingdom ans decided on joining the military before taking up the throne. While in the military he met Cadance, a Pegasus General, and after butting heads for a while they eventually fell in love. Night and Dusk weren’t too happy that Shining wanted to marry Cadance instead of another noble but Shining was stubborn and they eventually allowed it.
And lastly we have Twilight Sparkle! Twilight has always been super into learning about magic and with her naturally strong magic she sensed up getting into the University at a young age. She doesn’t really care about potentially taking up the throne but since she’s Dusk’s direct heir and Shining is already expected to rule the Crystal Empire she’s first in line for the Equestrian throne.

Recom Headcanons
So, some of this is from my mind, but some of these headcanons I'm sure are based off others' headcanons I've seen. Also, some of these headcanons may actually be written in terms of some of my fics that I have written for Avatar. Particularly if you have read my story Lost and Found or any of my Recom Smut series. @hellpmeimobsessed You asked me to tag you, so here you go! Warning: Some of these headcanons may contain mention of past abuse/past child abuse/past sexual abuse, and may also contain content in terms of what the character enjoys in the bedroom Brown: -Was SAed when he was younger -Loves karaoke, even though he might be a bit tone deaf -Enjoys cuddling naked with his partner -Did modelling for a brief period of time before he decided to join the marines Fike: -....I got nothing for him, sorry. No hate to him, just don't have any at the moment.
Ja: -Was raised by his grandparents -Seeing the EMTs work on his grandma sparked his interest in wanting to become a medic -A sensitive soul, rather quiet and reserved -Enjoys movies, most genres except for horror; is a bit of a baby when it comes to the scary movies -Has minimal sexual experience compared to some of the others; but has always wanted to titty f**k his partner -Him, Prager, and Lopez are close
Lopez: -Is a masochist and will openly admit to it -Comes from a large family, a middle child of five. Very close with all of them. -Has problems with authority figures, always having to hold his tongue so he doesn't get himself into trouble -Very protective to those he loves or is loyal to -A rather horny drunk...this may or may not be how he and Ja got it on Mansk: -Has a light sensitivity, hence the sunglasses all the time. But also uses the sunglasses as a layer of protection of being perceived by others -Sits somewhere on the autism spectrum but was never diagnosed, comes across as just being "socially awkward" -Gives off the "strong and silent type" vibe -Was sexually abused by his uncle as a child well up until his late teen years -Definitely a mama's boy - The younger of two kids. Has an older sister named Nora -Turned to cooking as a way to cope with his trauma--found he had a gift for it and just kept at it. But also enjoys making others feel good by being able to give them a good meal
Prager: -Is a pothead -Grew up with alcoholic/drug addict parents, but was eventually fostered by an old teacher who took him under their wing -Likes most types of card games and board games -Stress cleans -Enjoys rollerblading and skateboarding -Easy going/go with the flow type of person--both in day to day things and in bed Quaritch: -Grew up on a farm -Raised by an abusive/alcoholic father and a mother that fell ill when he was in his teens -The oldest of three children---lost connection with his siblings when he left to join the military -His relationship with Paz started as her simply flirting with him based on a dare, but eventually turned into a fling as Miles was impressed by her boldness -Smokes when stressed but turns to alcohol as a bad coping mechanism if given the opportunity -Enjoys camping and hiking and being able to be out in nature so he can reflect upon life and to be able to get more in touch with his emotions -Likes to take charge in bed, but Paz is able to persuade him into being a sub in some situations Wainfleet -Has a bit of a crush on the Colonel. He thinks it isn't obvious, but some of the others see it -Is a switch in the bedroom. But prefers to be the sub when he is with his girlfriend, Mina. -Makes jokes constantly despite the fact that he struggles with his mental health--saw being the funny man as a way to make others like him -A middle child of three; has an older brother who is also in the military, but joined the Army branch, and a younger sister, who died when he was about thirteen -Grew up on a farm, although not many people know this -Grew up being rather sensitive and a "cry baby" as his brother dubbed him. Was a big mama's boy and her death damn near broke him -Smokes when stressed
Walker: -Likes to scrapbook in her spare time -Her and Z-Dog have flings with one another, but neither of them would label themselves as an "item" -Likes to sit down with a good book on a stormy day and curl up by the fire with some comforting snacks Warren: -Gives off the "strong and silent type" vibe -Has a crush on Mansk (initially unrequited?) -Is gay, but no one knows this (at first) -Is very much a wallflower, people forget he is there sometimes -In sexual relations, is very straightforward and a take charge type of guy--but makes sure that he is never rough with his partner
Z-Dog: -Grew up in a house full of men. Her mother left when she was young, so she just had her dad and her three brothers -Was very much a tomboy before realizing that she liked girls more then she liked men -Her father was a mechanic so she knows her way around a car -Enjoys physical sports like boxing and kickboxing -Chews gum as a way to manage her anxiety as well as to curb any emotional eating Zhang: -Is one of the three "strong and silent types" (with Warren and Mansk being the other two) -Rarely smiles -Enjoys shibari (Japanese rope bondage) and 69ing -Looks mean since he has a "resting bitch face" but can be quite gentle and doting with his partner -Joined the marines as a way to rebel against his parents since they wanted him to become a doctor or lawyer or engineer.
That's all I got for now. Might eventually develop some headcanons for Fike and might add on to what I have here. Hope you enjoyed reading!

Taken - Zutara - Part 14
First / Previous / Next / Masterpost
In the morning, it isn't Zuko that is gone.
Katara, when she woke to find him and his soldiers still in the village center, thought for a moment that he was simply running late. Only, Zuko was still in the blue clothes from the day before, his hair in a clearly messy attempt at a wolf tail. He doesn't meet her eyes when she tries to get answers, stalling until others began leaving their huts and tents.
For a moment, she knew something was off, but couldn't place what. Then, she noticed that Umai, but not her husband Paho. There was little Lana with her mother, but her father and brother where nowhere in sight. Sokka and their mother came out, but her father was nowhere in sight.
And then it hit her.
All of the warriors were gone.
She whipped to face Zuko, who was still avoiding her eyes. "Did you know?" When he stiffened, but still didn't answer, she balled up her fists. "Is this what you and my father were talking about?"
When Zuko still didn't answer, she let out a cry of outrage, and grasped at the air, pulling her hands towards her body. Snow pelted Zuko, making his stumble. By the time he was on his feet, she was already running out of the village.
Her father had left, willingly, after so long of saying how grateful he was to have their family whole again.
For a few hours, Katara sat at the bottom of a snow bank, watching otterpenguins as they waddled around. When Sokka came to find her, he was seething. He dropped into the snow beside her, and they leaned against each other.
It was Iroh that came to find them. Sokka glares, ready to snap at the older man if he tried to speak. Katara looked at him with cold eyes.
"Princess Katara," Iroh said, as he moved to stand beside her, looking out across the snow. "Did you ever tell your brother about my time in the Fire Nation military?"
For a moment, Katara glared. What did that have to do with anything?
"I was a renowned general in the army. I led a seige against the walled Earth Kingdom city of Ba Sing Se. For six hundred days, I relentlessly attacked the walls, and I even started to break through. But then... My son was on the battlefield. A messenger ran to me. He told me..."
When he trailed off, Katara looked up at him, her voice soft. "Lu Ten was killed in the fight."
Sokka was still glaring, but Iroh was gazing out across the snow, an expression of deep sorrow marring his features.
"Yes," he said, voice thick. "It is an unimaginable pain, to loose your child. I began to question every decision that had led me to that moment. I had joined the army to prove my worth to my father and the people. I rose in the ranks so Lu Ten had a father he could look up to. But had I made the right choice? It was my decision to let Lu Ten onto the battlefield, after he spoke with such deep desire to prove himself to me.
"It was my decisions to join the war that led Lu Ten to his death. And I wondered if I had just done one thing differently, if I could have spared him that fate. So I understand what your father was thinking when he decided to leave."
"You're Fire Nation scum," Sokka hissed, glowering at Iroh. "Who cares if your scum son died-"
"Sokka," Katara snapped. Her brother glared at her.
"I can not fault you for your hatred," Iroh said. "But it does not change what has happened. Chief Hakoda confided in me that he had been struggling with this decision for years. Had he left, taken the warriors and joined the war sooner, could he have stopped Princess Katara from being taken? If he had attacked instead of defended, could he have pushed our army back before she sacrificed herself? He wondered, had he been more active, if he could have saved her from the capital.
"He has as many regrets as I, but he still has a chance to make them right. He has a chance to make what he believes is the best chance to protect you both, to spare himself the heartbreak of loosing a child again. So do not fault him for doing what he believes to be the best choice for you both."
Katara turns, returning her gaze to the snow feilds. Sokka does the same, hugging his knees to his chest. They both still hurt, but it weighs heavy in their stomachs.
When they finally return to the village, Zuko is directing soldiers, looking and sounding like a leader, a warrior, of the tribe. They're counting food, figuring out how long it will last the tribe. When he sees her, he ducks his head, ashamed.
She thinks over what Iroh had said. It could be applied to Zuko, she supposed. He had made a few difficult decisions, some to protect himself, but plenty to spare her in some way. In the palace, whenever he could, he put himself in Azula's path if Katara was to tired to fend the princess off. Even when he had been banished, he risked his fathers wrath to spirit her away. And while it had hurt her, is attempt to distance himself had been made in an effort to prevent her image of him being altered forever. Keeping her father's plans secret was a risk, but he would have done it if it meant she would be spared from months of worry before her father left.
When she stood next to Zuko, she reached out, her dark muddy red gloves standing out against the blue of his parka. He paused, turning to look at her, a hint of hope in his eyes.
"How can I help?" She asked.

tell us about your ocs !!!!!! (please) :)
AAAHHHH
okay okay this might be long so I'm sorry
Renegade is a guard in the Lost Light, her role is to ensure that the ship and the crew are safe. She is Rung's conjux and is technically also a goddess.
In this universe the Guiding Hand was at war with Unicron who had an army led by his right hand (I'm thinking of calling her Morrigan but I think that sounds too human), problem oh no! The right hand in question discovers that life is pretty cool and betrays him in the final battle which allows the Guiding Hand to win! (Morrigan) swears to always protect the gods and falls in love with Primus. The amnesia thing happens and she finds herself becoming a gladiator called Renegade (the name sounded good for her) before war breaks out and she finds herself fleeing Cybertron and living in exile on lots of planets until the war ends. When Rodimus makes his announcement for the departure of the Lost Light she already knows the dangers of space and says "why not help them?". She meets Rung (aka Primus) again and they fall in love again! She is there when Rung sacrifices himself and dies with him.🥲
Goldstrike is an Outlier who manipulates light. Senator Shockwave found her in the streets of Iacon abandoned and brought her back to the J.A.A.T. There she learns to manipulate her ability and Shockwave officially becomes her Sire. After a few years the Senate shows up and makes her go through Empurata as a warning for Shockwave who will face all the members of the senate which will lead to his own Empurata and Shadowplay. Goldstrike is now under the care of Optimus who tries to help her as best he can. In the middle of the war she joins the Decepticons in hopes of being able to find a good relationship with her father but quickly understands that he is no longer her father. She joins the Autobots again and at the end of the war spends most of her time with other members of the J.A.A.T like Trailbreaker or Skids.
Finally, Cirrus (whose universe is tfp) is a very outgoing and acrobatic former racer. He shared his spark with his twin brother Jadegraze who was a historian. During the war they both tried to escape and wait for the war to end but his brother was killed by Soundwave. He joins the autobots as a major of the air force and joins earth at the same time as Optimus and the others. He has a passion for frogs because their color reminds him of his brother and loves to play with Miko, Raf and Jack and show them lots of tricks that he can do. He also meets a human called Helena who is a former military in the air force and who has a behavior close to Ratchet but more relaxed.
Sorry if this was too long I'm just so happy to be able to yap about my weird little creations😭

Episode 15 (Star Wars: The Bad Batch) spoilers and general reflection. Do not read if you don't want to be spoiled, because I will be going into depth. This finale, y'all. Wow...
I can't even put into words what I'm feeling right now. I'm so glad it ended up being almost an hour long. The Bad Batch producers weren't kidding when they said the end is bittersweet.
When the intro popped up, I noticed the words "Bad Batch" were completely void of color. I'm not going to lie, I got a little choked up at the sight of that. Here's the thing... I never cry over movies/shows. Obviously, I'm still human. I may sit in stunned silence, I may give a strangled cry or talk as if the characters can understand me, and I have been on the verge of tears for a few shows in the past. At the end of the finale, though - when Omega leaned her head against Hunter's arm, Wrecker and Crosshair joined them underneath the tree, and the screen slowly faded to black - well, let's just say my expressions were very pained and my eyes watery. For me, that's a big deal. It hit me that we've made it the end... the very end.
I did not watch The Clone Wars (animated series) when it first came out, but my sister and I had watched the entire show a few times over before Bad Batch came out for the first time. When you're with a show that long, you kind of have to get slightly emotional. Inwardly, if nothing else.
A lot of people may not understand because the show is in fact animated and not real. As a writer and film enthusiast, however, I found the plot and dedication from the voice actors very impressive. Very little movies/shows have impressed me recently.
Besides that, Hunter was very relatable for me. I'm a military brat. I am very used to a "chaotic" life. Home is wherever my family and I have gone. Home is being with them. Our strong bond is what kept us sane in the midst of chaos, and it's difficult to explain. Seeing the Bad Batch have a life like that just made sense to me. Additionally, I would do anything for my family. I am very protective of my younger siblings. Sometimes they look up to me and expect me to make the final call; it's very daunting if you're afraid of making the wrong choice.
Eventually, though, everyone has to settle. Even the Bad Batch, after a very chaotic, stressful life.
I didn't expect to see an adult Hunter and older Omega. I love that she wants to be a rebel pilot! For one thing, it makes sense. I also love that she's still so close to her brothers. Hunter lets her go, but he still pictures her as his kid, in a way.
I don't want Tech to be gone, but I'm willing to accept it. I was delusional until the end, and I hope many of you were spared that stress. It felt like he had died again. And Crosshair without a hand? If Echo can manage, so can he, but they were really willing to go to extreme measures to get Omega back. I think him struggling to pull away made it so much worse; the intensity of this finale had me on the edge of my seat.
Well, fellow fans, I'm still processing the finale as I write. I don't think I'll ever recover, but I'll treasure the memories. Clone force 99, thank you for being both comfort characters and characters to learn from. And Bad Batch producers, a round of applause for all the hard work you've done. Consider my watery eyes the highest honor I could bestow upon you.

Do you have any more Burns family headcanons? I saw your trans Kade post and wanted to know if any other Burns family members are also LGBTQ!
Yes! I do have more headcanons for the Burns family! So might as well just list them all out here.
Burns family headcanons
Charlie
Him and Woodrow are half brothers. Charlie's father is out of the picture, and his mom remarried and had Woodrow
Him, Ezra, and William Fowler were all friends throughout school
All three of them were born and raised on Griffin Rock
The three of them also created go karts one summer that they rode constantly around town. This was the start of Rolling Thunder
Woodrow and him would hike up to Griffin's Crest and camp every weekend. During the summers they would stay for longer on the trips
Him and his wife knew each other as kids but never interacted
He was in the Military during the 80s
He reunited with his wife in the military where she had become a scientist
The military also is where they met and worked with Optimus Prime
They both left the forces when she became pregnant with Kade
After leaving the forces he became a police officer and they all lived on the mainland for awhile
When he became a chief police officer the family moved back to Griffin Rock.
He tries to do at one on one dad time with his kids each month. The activities are typically based on which kid he is with
He has a guilty pleasure for watching old 70s and 80s sci fi movies and shows
Was a mess for a while after his wife died. While nothing major happened that he regretted, it still put a slight strain on his and Kade's relationship
He's just glad that the younger 3 were oblivious to everything that happened after their mother died
He was always the cook of the family. He learned when he was a kid and only continued to improve as he grew older
Chase and him both enjoy riding out to Blossom Vale to watch the stars
Only has become more protective of Cody as the years have gone one, especially with how constantly he is in danger with the tech around town
Always wins at Mario Party
Kade
Main headcanon of course is him being trans, but I also see him as being bisexual
He came out when he was 9 and the family just moved to Griffin Rock. He started socially transitioning and besides for close family friends, no one on the island knows he is trans.
While he is an asshole at times, he cares deeply for his family and would lay his life down for them
He had a close relationship with his mother. She was his biggest supporter when he first came out
His mother dying in a fire was his main inspiration for becoming a firefighter
Has always been protective of Cody since he was born, but that protective nature only grew after their mother s death. He would constantly take time to make sure Cody was cared for when Charlie would work late nights
Never got to properly grieve his mothers death due to him being Dani and Graham's support system. But he would never let them know that
Blockbuster movies are his favorites, the Godzilla franchise being his number one followed by the James Bond movies (basically canon, but I see him as being a huge fanboy outside of what we see in canon)
Dani and Graham both used grimlins as a way to scare him. This led to several sleepless nights for him as a young teen.
In turn that meant he would take over comms for the night or stay in Cody's room watching over him
Was a trouble maker in late elementary and early middle school. Lead to a legacy with all of his siblings
Joined the sports teams in high school. Rugby and soccer were his best ones
Started doing firefighter training at 17 with the NVFC
Had several girlfriends and one or two secret boyfriends during highschool
Got into fights whenever someone was picking on Dani or Graham
Started working in highschool to help Charlie pay bills on their house
The family only moved into the firehouse once Kade had become a firefighter
Him and Charlie would get into arguments a lot of times after the other had gone to sleep. These arguments died down over time as Charlie started to move on past his wife's death
Their relationship is mostly repaired now, but if tensions grow there is the possibility of them getting into arguments again
Most of his ego is played up to fit a fearless persona he created
Past that ego, he is very well accomplished. He has several trophies from his time in sports, and he has progressed through his career a tremendous amount
Him and Heatwave both accidentally discovered that Cybertronian stomachs can handle human food in small amounts. So Kade sometimes will introduce Heatwave to different human foods to see his reaction. So far ghost peppers have had the funniest response
Always wins at Uno and is tied with Cody for Cards Against Humanity
Dani
Growing up with all brothers meant she became a lot more tomboyish as a kid and young teen
Would paint Kade's nails as a kid and still does to this day when its a slow night at the base
Was a fan of the first TopGun movie as a kid. This was her inspiration for becoming a pilot some day
Her and Kade constantly butted heads as kids, but it was always playful and there were never any hard feelings between the pair
Had a hoard of stuffed animals in her room. It was piled in a corner and one wrong move could bury you in them
I see her as bisexual with a preference for fem presenting people
And I feel like she would go by she/they pronouns
She owns dresses but wears them on the very rare occasion
She has an OG Tumblr account like the millennial she is
Speaking of Tumblr, she taught Blades how to use it
Her guilty pleasure shows and movies are romance vampire series. Kade and Graham tease her relentlessly for it
Mrs. Neededlander used to babysit her and TRIED to teach her how to cook. It never worked
She sent an application off to the real life TOPGUN academy. She's never gotten a response though so she has mostly forgotten about it
She wanted to become an EMT after Graham had fallen out of a tree as a kid and broke his arm. Watching the crew work is what sparked her curiosity about it
That inspiration was only amplified by her mother's death
Is always the one to win at Monopoly
Graham
Was picked on being the youngest up until Cody was born
Was diagnosed at a young age with autism
Both Kade and Dani were protective of him once he got into school. They both made sure that he would be safe from bullying
Watching what his mother and Doc Greene and wife did in the lab is what inspired him to pursue a STEM career
He narrowed it down to engineering after joining the robotics program in Griffin Rock's schools
Initially didn't think he would go into the first responder field, but after doing research into the different job opportunities, and seeing Kade and Dani go into the field, he decided to join them
He is also bisexual, but is demi aroace as well
Will completely forget to take care of basic bodily needs if he is wrapped up in a project
Boulder and him constantly stay up late tinkering in the garage
Almost flunked out of college because he couldn't handle being in person for classes. Once he switched to more online classes though, his grades sky rocketed and he graduated top of his class
Several times has fallen asleep at his desk in the garage, but always wakes up with a blanket around his shoulders or having been moved to somewhere more comfortable
Despite what his body type shows, he does have a fair amount of muscle from his work with heavy equipment
Always wins at Mario Kart and Scrabble
Cody
At some point in life he has looked up to each of his siblings
Kade, was when he was younger and constantly being babysat by him. His oldest brother was the 1st one he would see when he would wake up and the last person he would see before going to sleep. Due to this he was the first person Cody would come to when he was a child
Dani, he has almost always looked up to and has never really stopped. Her dare devil attitude helped to push him out of his shell as a kid, allowing him to be the extroverted person he is today. She is the first to propose something fun and crazy to him, which they then most likely see through with the plan
Graham, he looked up to during his time with Pioneer Scouts. Kade and Dani never really joined any scouting activities, but Graham nearly finished the entire scout program. While Graham doesn't really like it anymore, he is always up to talking with Cody about what he was doing in his troop
Of course though, being siblings, they all annoy the fuck out of each other
Prank wars are typically started by Cody
When he was younger there were times when Dani and Kade couldn't hug him when they got home. He was confused at the time, but growing up he realized why when he started to witness the rescues more
Completed all badges in the Pioneer Scouting program
AroAce but him and Frankie joke about being platonically dating due to people at school
Speaking of Frankie she is basically another sister to him. Its to the point where his older siblings will refer to her as their younger sister
Hopes for his own bot one day. However as time passes and they learn more about Cybertronian on Earth, that hope starts to fade
Honestly has no idea what he wants to do in life. Is conflicted on if he even wants to go into any first responder field
Starts out at college as a gen student, but soon switches over to animal based studies
After watching some Game Wardens in action while fishing with friends during college, he was inspired to pursue that job
Kept the fact he was training to be a Game Warden a secret from his family. Finally told them when he showed up to the firehouse in uniform
Him and the bots constantly sneak out of the firehouse to star gaze
He asks them about Cybertron, and what it was like before they left. This has actually helped the bots with homesickness
Blades is always up for teaching him about Cybertronian anatomy
Boulder and Heatwave both tell him about their cultural region's music, even being able to find human equivalents for him to listen to
Chase tells him about different Cybertronian stories and mythology
Quickshadow, High Tide, and Heatwave all use their holoforms to teach him self defense
He wins at Cards Against Humanity constantly, even when he was a kid
General headcanons
There is a separate washer and dryer in the garage for work clothes specifically
The bunker has been expanded upon greatly since the bots arrived. There are actually bedrooms for the bots to stay in, and keep their personal belongings in
Whenever they have to drop grocery shopping or eating at restaurants to respond to an emergency, they can always go back afterwards and pick up where they were. ANGEL I JUST READ "THE TALE OF TWO DARLANS" AND I CAME HERE A S A P (btw this will have SPOILERS bc I read it on my main and I'm too scared to comment there bc I don't have a side account there༎ຶ‿༎ຶ)
Not gonna lie, when I first saw the title I thought "huh, what a coincidence", and then I saw the author and brother the whiplash that I received I have so many thoughts about your writing!!!!
1) Stan and Ford being cute to eachother absolutely warmed my heart, take all my money
2) Ford having a shotgun under Darlan's crib (which is expected of him lmao, and also how he's protective of his baby and his love AAAAAA)
3) Aster, just-- Aster in general holy shit. Absolute mamas boy (and with reason, the poor guy). His design?? His powers?? His name meaning?? Can completely comprehend the man's hatred and want for vengeance, you go king (but even I felt bad for our Ford lmao. And also, him watching Ford in the hospital???? The attention to detail)
4) Cleopatra, absolute queen, we stan, I'm so curious about her!! Where did she come from?? How did Aster met her???
5) just one word: MAMA (I don't even know who you are - and I desperately want to!!!! - but I love you. Protective of Stan pines????? Me too queen, me too)
6) Also, are Aster's six green eyes a reference to the "Never Human Au" or is it just based on his appearance of Ford (individually, both are amazing details/references)
7) also the reference to A Tale of Two Stans??? You were absolutely COOKING with this one. The wait was definitely worth it!!! I'm so curious about what more do you have about them or if you will write about them, whatever you want to do I will inhale the shit out of it
Amazing and beautiful work as always Angel :) so excited to see what else you have planned (but also take your time if you need!!!) 🩵🩵
I'm glad that you got your gift and it got me giggling with excitement when I see the notifications! I understand that you can't comment at AO3 if you don't have a second account, but I don't mind about it.
So let me help you answer some questions:
1) I want some more Stan and Ford fluffy as parents, so at times like this I gotta do things by myself hahaha! 🤣
2) Ford already being an overprotective parent, of course he's gonna have a weapon hidden in every corner of the house that he can quickly get access to during dangerous moments. Dude got literally 5 legal guns and maybe 20 more illegally.
3) Aster is the very first OC child that I've been thinking off for a while before I met both of you and @muchmallows . This man works at a local bookstore/library has a favourite black Stenton cowboy hat when going out to town, which annoys Ford a lot. Due to inbreeding, however, he has a weak heart condition.
As stated in the story, Aster was born sometime after the portal incident and was solely raised by Stan with the help of Abuela with Soos as his adopted sibling. As soon as he graduated high school, he joined the military and became part of the Special Forces during the Afghanistan war for several years until his injury in the right eye put him in honourable discharge.
He is very efficient in any weaponry, but he prefers knives over guns. Less noisier when taking down enemies. So during their custody escape, Aster went on a war crime massacre spree hacking off soldier after soldier giving Stan enough time to get the twins and opened the portal to bring Ford home.
But it was not all rainbows. His parents were constantly fighting and Ford constantly threatening to kick Stan out, until Stan ended up suffering a heart attack and fell into a coma. He became hostile towards Ford after that without any mercy but only act civil just for the sake of the kids.
When Weirdmageddon broke out, he was visiting Stan at the hospital, where he died from a broken heart. It was at the moment he made contact with Mama and with her help, she is able to get past the barrier and ends Weirdmageddon by sending both Ford and Bill into the Dark Forest, since the ritual is considered null when Stan died.
After Weirdmageddon is over, he passes over the Mystery Shack ownership to Soos and leaves Gravity Falls after the funeral and the twins went back home, advising them to never part from one another like what his parents did.
He spends the rest of his life travelling the multiverse as a mercenary, hunting down Fords that hurt their Stans. Consider him as the Deathstroke of this au.
4) Cleopatra the six-eyed Devon Rex is his beloved pet companion that he raised since it was a kitten. He found her while he was at the town getting groceries. According to the Kitten Distribution rule, once a kitten sticks to you, they own you. Plus, she's a useful mascot to the business and the family's darling sweetheart pet (except Ford).
So the AU Ford would really have a Vietnam flashback when he sees Darlan bring home a six-eyed kitten and is very torn about it, but in the end he became the parent that spoils the pet rotten just like Stan did with Waddles.
5) And Mama - the elusive being that Aster made a contract with. Most of her contractors refer to her as Mama, but that's not her real name. If asked, she reveals her middle name is Evangeline and that's it.
Originally from a world that has now been absorbed into the Void, she is one of the many beings that reside in the lightless realm and the ruler of the Dark Forest (for clearer understanding see the Dark Forest theory), a territory of brambles, briar thorns, snow and beasts that evolved itself to survive against each other.
She is know to stalk her targets that she pities and favours due to the target's unfavourable circumstances, no matter the age, befriending them and caring for all of their needs and loving them unconditionally, whispering promises of happiness and love before she whisks them away, mostly resulting in the target's death. She desires not for power, domination; but love and family.
Unlike Bill who needs a portal to enter another dimension, she can travel easily through the shadows, though she requires a partial sacrifice (a drop of blood is enough) to officially cemented her presence physically.
She is rarely found in human history and myths because she is very much likes her privacy, but can be hinted through lullabies and urban legends.
If Bill Cipher is both a god and a demon, therefore she is both a goddess and an angel; his polar opposite. If fire is his element, then water is hers.
The rose mark tattoo on Darlan's neck is the sign of her claim over him, it acts as a conduit for him to utilise her powers but at the same time restrains him with a briar collar to keep him in line from acting irrationally.
6) Aster's six eyes scene is inspired from the many fanarts of Bill possessing Ford. I extensively checked which eye represents Bill during this moment and most artists depict Bill's eye is on the right.
The loss of right eye is also symbolic to Aster, signaling of his sacrifice to sate his revenge against Ford and that he has nothing else to lose when the only person that matters to him is dead.
So if you do a half-and-half image of the possessed Ford and Stan/Aster, Bill represents the right side while Mama represents the left.
7) I always struggled with thinking for the perfect titles to my stories, that title was a last minute because I want to upload it immediately 😅
I really want to see how Aster interacts with the other AUs of Stan and Ford with their kids (no doubt Aster would be nice to them, except Ford, he will have problems with any Fords). Doesn't matter if it's art or fanfic, I'll always deliver!
And thank you as always, Ilumi and Mallows for all of your inspiration. I'll try to divide my time wisely when I work on my art projects! If you need to ask more about them, you know what to do!

WIP WHENEVER
@chevvy-yates tagged me for this. Thank you a lot 💚
This will be a huge wall of text aswell, since I am not really of the „visual“ side of creating atm.
Writing // Worldbuilding
I'm still writing the next two chapters for my fanfiction, but would rather briefly introduce my other OCs here (yes, Aon isn´t the only one by now). Maybe I can create all of them ingame at some point, depending on how stupid I´ll act with modding etc. when I start. Since things can change quickly in the story while I'm writing, I wouldn't say that everything is 100% set in stone, a lot of it isn't finished yet. But it's a good base. Most of them appear in my „Like Napalm“ fic. Some of them will be in my main GARMR fic aswell. So prepare for half backed character data entries and some rambling.
Gan
Gan Tomobataar, or Iron as he is usually called, is a mysterious man. Many stories surround the Mongolian giant and it always depends on who asks him whether he affirms or denies these tales. It is therefore uncertain which of them are true or fictional and he really enjoys keeping his past in the dark. He is said to have served in an elite military unit. The metal teeth that earned him his iconic nickname are said to have been lost in numerous boxing matches as he tried to turn pro to make a better life for himself and his family, and he is allegedly a descendant of Ginghis Khan (which is probably one of his favorite rumors). One can assume that his closest confidants have more clarity, but none of them would dare say a word about it. Undeniably true is that he has two brothers, of whom he is the second-born. Together with them, he leads one of the largest nomadic clans in eastern Europe and Asia. The Tomobataar nomads are divided into three large families, each led by one of the three brothers. Iron's family stays mainly in Mongolia and Russia, but he would also travel to more distant parts of the Soviet Union for profitable contracts. He doesn't have many vices, but one of them is definitely greed.
By sheer luck, at least that's what he claimed, he picked up Aon on the street when she was trying to flee Moscow on her own. He promised to protect her from the Secret Police and other bounty hunters if she proved to be a useful member of his clan. However, his methods for testing her worth would put the young woman to the test.
Yakov
Yakov always had problems finding his place in the world. He grew up in St. Petersburg, studying or an education other than working in his father's car repair shop were never an option financially, but the young man always yearned for something greater than being stuck in the alleys and streets of his childhood. He decided to join the military when he was old enough, but was discharged immediately after basic training for insubordination and general unsuitability. What remained for him was to work in his father's garage until he died after a long illness. Yakov tried to keep the store running on his own for a while, but he found it difficult to do good business without proper management and eventually had to sell the store. This was followed by a relatively dark period. He saw himself as a failure, was unable to find a new job and drank away the money he had received for the workshop in the bars in his neighborhood. One evening, a man came into his local pub. His car had broken down outside, he wouldn't get any further that night and kept him company for a few hours. The next day, Yakov repaired his car for the man called Gan and left the town with him to live with the Tomobataar nomads.
Gregori
Gregori's mother, a singer from New York, came to the Russian capital for a gig and met a military officer there. The two got together and the result was little Greg. Shortly afterwards, however, the couple fell apart and she took her son back to America, where he spent most of his childhood and youth being raised by babysitters and nannies, while the singer preferred to spend her time on tour or in the recording studio. Gregori at least inherited much of her creativity, starting to make music himself at an early age and drawing a lot. Just what small children do when they need to keep themselves busy.
When he was 16 years old, his mother died of an overdose. As she never bothered to write down a testament or anything similar, her entire fortune goes to her greedy manager, who leaves Gregori penniless.
The boy, who has spent his whole life sheltered without much contact with the outside world, is left with nothing and doesn't know exactly what to do. So he scrapes together the last of his money and buys a ticket to Moscow, where he tries to find his father, but in vain. He quickly goes off the rails, barely speaks a word of Russian, is recruited by a gang and gets exploited. An arms deal with a group of nomads goes wrong, a shootout ensues and Gegori is the only one left of the gang because he hides instead of fighting. Yakov, who was on the other side of the deal, takes pity on him and eventually takes him to his new family where he tries to find his place within the group.
Anna
Anna grew up with the Tomobataar nomads from an early age. Her parents were killed in a botched mission when she was just four years old. Iron, who in a way blamed himself for this, took on a guardianship for her and looked after the little girl like the apple of his eye. As the years passed and Anna grew older, the relationship between her and her foster father changed. He became increasingly demanding, punished misbehavior and put the still young girl under pressure. Aon, who had already earned her place in the clan by this time, could not tolerate this behavior as she herself had grown up under similar circumstances. No one else in the clan interfered with Iron's "parenting methods", which is why she ended up doing it. Anna and Aon then became inseparable and she naturally followed her later when they left the clan along with many others.
Anatoly
Anatoly, or Tolik as Aon calls him, belongs to the Russian working class in Moscow and cannot claim to own much. As a boy, he dreamed of studying mechanical engineering in order to open his own workshop or business. A dream that his father would never have been able to afford in this life. So after school, Tolik started working at his father's scrap yard on the outskirts of Moscow, not an easy job. He regularly drives into the city to pick up old components and scrap metal from SovOil and other big corporations, where he meets Alyona one day. The two strike up a conversation, exchange banter and hit it off straight away, which over time develops into a teenage love story. Aon spends a lot of time with him at the scrapyard, where she can test and improve her skills on old machines and has a place to hide from her hated stepfather. He, in return, benefits from the knowledge she brings with her from university, and his dream of building his own big thing soon becomes her dream too. Together they consider leaving the city at some point and make plans for the future
unnamed_chromed_up_terrifying_SovOil_Secret_Police_agent
Yea well, I don't know yet how to call him. After Aon has fled Moscow, the officers of the normal police force give up the search for her, as it theoretically no longer falls within their area of responsibility. However, since Kristof claims that Aon stole the data he wanted to sell to Petrochem, SovOil is naturally very interested in finding her and the data chip. So they send a Secret Police agent after her, who, together with a small unit, tries to track her down. He actually already had a kind of "Easter Egg" appearance in my other AU. He would have been the agent sitting next to Kurt if he hadn't switched the cards on the table. Funny how differently things can go. Anyway, he doesn't really have much of a backstory other than he used to work for the KGB and is a bloodthirsty hound dog who chases Aon halfway across the country (spoiler: and finds her). If I were to compare him to another character from movies etc, he would probably have the closest vibe to Hans Landa from Inglourious Basterds. The character was very well written, even though I would probably make my namesless_pig a bit younger than him. But since he'll be pumped full of cyberware anyway, it probably doesn't matter much in the end. It's just supposed to be a fucking horrible character and Aon's nightmare.
Robert Walker
Robert is one of the key-characters in my main fanfiction. I haven't thought about him in depth yet, but the general concept is there. He's a British journalist and photographer who wanted to go high by exposing wrongdoings in society. For him, there is nothing more exciting than achieving "fame and notoriety" as a whistleblower. He's not necessarily stupid or doesn't know what he's doing, he's just unlucky. He gets into trouble with the wrong people and upsets the even worse ones, which is why he has to flee the UK and ends up in NC. There he tries to start over and stay out of trouble. However, he soon develops an "unhealthy" obsession with Kurt Hansen. He is incredibly fascinated by him and spends every free minute in Dogtown so that he can perhaps take a photo (or two, or ten) of his idol. At some point, he goes so far as to seek direct contact and wants to interview him. Kurt is flattered at first, but has little desire to reveal information about himself in some strange blog or gossip magazine. But that didn't stop Robert from continuing to stalk him and even trying to become a member of Barghest. At some point, Hansen got too pissed off and gave him the choice of leaving Dogtown or catching a bullet. Robbie chose the second option. After all, he hadn't forbid him to camp outside the gates of Dogtown, had he?
Technically I could tell something about Aon´s mom and her stepfather too, but I don´t have that much yet. So will keep em for the next WIP together with the other OCs for my main fic. There will be three more. A general, a corpo guy and the last is still up for discussion with my brain. Considering somekind of warlord or a netrunner.
Art
I tried to do something different than a full rendered piece of artwork. I am not yet confinced that I like it. I like, that it was finished really fast lmao but...I dunno.
Aon and Tolik - 2055
But happy that Aon is actually recognizable in the end. During the process she looked so much like So Mi at a point that my brain went: WHO ARE YOU GIRL. But I like the long hair. Will give it back to her in her 2078+ appearance. Not exactly like this, but longer than her normal style.
Not quite sure about Anatoly tho. I mean, he looks like this in my head, but I will reconsidere if he will get some cyberarms. He is poor like a mouse, so probably can´t afford expensive tech like this, but he feels kind of „empty“ without anything.
Congrats and huge thanks if you read this far. Brainrot stronk!
Tagging some ppl aswell. Everyone else is invited too to show off some awesome stuff ofc, no pressure as always!

Heroes, Motivations, and Patriotism: Braveheart vs. The Patriot
Audiences could hardly connect these two Mel Gibson-centered films more if the second was a direct sequel to the first as opposed to a story about totally unrelated characters hundreds of years later in a different country. I have to wonder if the filmmakers behind The Patriot were not so gung ho about casting Gibson in the lead role because they wanted the audience to see William Wallace in a man who actually has nothing in common with him. The key difference between these two men is the crystal clear link between Wallace's motives and his actions and the murkiness of that link in Benjamin Martin's case.
His wife Murron's execution is not the origin of Wallace's desire for vengeance; rather it is the impetus behind his choice to take action. He has been a witness to the effects of Longshanks' cruelty since childhood when the king hanged the Scottish nobles with whom he said he would negotiate. Wallace's father and older brother later die resisting the English Army. When an English lord orders Murron executed for resisting an English soldier who tries to rape her, after the king has restored the practice of "first night," Wallace knows exactly who is to blame. He executes the lord on the same spot where Marron died, but he knows Longshanks will just send another one, and another one after that if they kill him, and that these abuses of Scottish rights will continue as they have for Wallace's whole life. The only way he can see to prevent that is to drive English forces from Scotland, and all his choices from this point forward have that end goal in sight.
While Wallace's beef with the English dates from childhood, Martin's dates from a few minutes of real time before he goes hog wild and butchers a company of British soldiers with a tomahawk. Before Colonel Tavington and his Green Dragoons ride up, he is caring for wounded British soldiers on his porch right next to Continental ones. Indeed, the only objection anyone makes to the British prior to this scene is taxation, which is never mentioned again after the Charlestown assembly at the start of the film, three years prior to Martin's run-in with the dragoons.
At that assembly, Martin claims that he will not vote in favor of joining the war or serve in the army being raised because protecting his children is his priority. But not only does he leave his youngest and most vulnerable children behind to go fight, but his militia's short-term goal is the opposite of Wallace's. Their orders are to keep Cornwallis's army in South Carolina so he cannot join with the British army in the north and crush the Continental forces altogether. It's a reasonable strategy from a military perspective, but not for a man whose family is allegedly his chief concern. That neither Martin nor his men have made any provision to conceal or protect their families from British attack--even though the impetus behind his joining at all was just such an attack!--drives the disparity home further.
Much has been made of the role personal vengeance plays in both films, but Wallace takes his quickly and as a precursor to leading the fight for independence. It is not the single or most important force driving him. Meanwhile, Martin treats personal vengeance like a dessert he gets to enjoy after he'd done justice to the main course of fighting for independence, even though he never voices any enthusiasm for that fight. Ultimately, Wallace has far more in common with Martin's oldest son Gabriel, the actual "patriot" referenced in the title, but even Gabriel's motives are less concrete than his. He's an eighteen-year-old boy working on his father's farm when he joins the Continental army; what taxes was he paying?
Perhaps the most striking contrast between Wallace and Martin lies in their characters' respective ends, and this also reinforces the differences in their motivations. At the end of Braveheart, Wallace is dead, having given all he had for Scotland. At the end of The Patriot, Martin is breeding new children with his sister-in-law to replace the ones Tavington killed and watching his home rebuilt in the very spot where Tavington burned it, driving home that the best possible life for him is one nearly identical to the one he had under British rule. At the same time, it makes everything that happens between the impetus driving his vengeance and his consummation of it feel like a waste of time!
The next time I hear someone call The Patriot "American Braveheart," Pow! Right in the kisser!
#braveheart 1995#the patriot 2000#mel gibson#william wallace#benjamin martin#braveheart is the vastly superior film because it has a vastly superior hero#but also the pacing and character development and overall economy of storytelling are so much better#i would rather chew glass than praise mel gibson#but there's no denying that he did an amazing job as director
