hey boss if you feel like it could you tell me about what's going on with p5r and akeshu? I have no intention of playing any persona game/interacting with the media myself but I'm invested in it through you, so I want to know what's up! :)

goro’s manual confidant and involvement in the new campaign is really heavily romance coded, is what it boils down too? like, his regular s.link is very… they go on blatant dates. morgana isnt there so a lot of attention is paid to how joker as an individual character builds a very very very very close and intense relationship with goro. and when goro ‘dies’, in the main campaign, in the new one that’s triggered by the character takuto granting everyones wishes jokers greatest wish in the world is for goro to be alive and safe and with him. this relationship between the two characters is explicitly compared to the romantic relationship between takuto and his ex girlfriend– takuto says, that jokers relationship and affection for akechi is what makes him and joker the same. and that if joker wants his wish (goro being safe and alive and happy and with him) to stay reality he’s got to not take takuto down. 

the bad ending is what happens when joker chooses to fuck all of his other friends (even his potentially romanced love interest!) over for goro akechi. like. wrow.

goro is… at least *alive* at the end of p5r true ending but nobody knows his status and everyone thinks hes dead, so, fucking sequel bait. jesus christ atlus. 

uh anyway……. you can imagine the shipscourse brewing. im usually very hesitant to call things gay coded but this is such bait its pissing me off. like. its FUJO bait but holy shit they didnt even have the spine to make it canon after all that.
