No actually you are on point. In fact, this isnt even the first piece of evidence we have that connects the depths (gaster place) to oceans and large bodies of water.

Ocean.ogg (spamton sweepstakes), ocean (song that plays at the beach, and when you fall into the dark world for thr first time) onionsan's weird lines about a song from the sea, everything onionsan says actually, and also somethings i just realized i haven't seen mentioned yet- the mystery man sprite (which is most likely gaster) appears specifically in waterfall alongside 2 other gaster follower fun events (clam girl and goner kid. Theres also the unused weird dialogue thats like "whats with your friend with the creepy smile behind you"), and 2 other fun events happen at both the snowdin river person stops (the "hey can i speak to g-" wrong number song, and the sound test which has gasters theme in it) (also "the man who speaks in hands" river person dialogue)

Some of this is pretty vague which is my bad. theres not really a specific theory video talking about ocean theory, its just kind of info thats been interspersed in various long theory videos. Watch the spamton sweepstakes deltacast, im pretty sure they go over it in one of the parts.
