oh. ohhh man yeah ive thought about it although very briefly cuz with the way the 0 storyline is structured leaves a lot of room for imagination but also makes it clear that kdj cannot descend. but let's just say it's not the case, how it would go. maybe they'd meet during constellation banquet. yjh would be invited as seoul's representative, although he has (maybe) no story to inherit and no regression restrains at the time.

in walks kdj. yjh notices. hes rather young and much inexperienced, not exactly hardened by regression depression and still has that light-in-his-eyes so to speak. for yjh I'd say the first meeting would be bordering cute-awkward angle. this is still the guy who was paying for their private midday tryst all the time btw (yes. even during 0th turn) surely there must've been a few dms outside the context of scenario revelations that the two of them shared

for kdj, on the other hand, he'd feel probably sad, maybe even silently cry a little. he misses his own yjh and his own companions too. while 49 was busy having existential dread, 51 was having the time of his life with 0 after all. he succeeded in making him happy regardless where that happiness lead him.

oh 41yjh is still so... the human personification of "the tip of the iceberg" we know nothing about that guy. kdj knows nothing about him. hsy has no idea who he is. kdjs narration about him is both at fault and not at fault at the same time. cuz the og 41st turn isnt even written in twsa to begin with. nor is the 40th turn written either. kdj saw the one short paragraph of 41yjh shutting off his heart during that turn and using his companions for his benefit and ran with it and you cant even blame him cuz thats the only thing tls123 wrote of that turn. hsy mentions at some point during the epilogue that she and yjh (1863rd turn) did talk about events of his past regressions so twsa is not all "hsy's imagination" and yjh also mentions to biyoo that he doesnt remember the 41st turn so what if it was 1863yjh the one who told hsy that exact paragraph?? thoughts like these keep me up at night

and contrary to kdj's narration and lhh's fears, 41 isnt actually a monstrous existence. he cares for people and helps them. he loves people and people love him in return just as much. he is confused this time around though I'll give him that much. there are strange people around him. people who know him and the scenarios. people who keep mentioning this guy named kim dokja so much even he gets curious about him. most importantly his "archenemy" of the previous round is *gasps* not evil anymore. he knows something is going on just is far away from finding out what exactly.

Sorry your ADHD brain is running you around in circles. I'm used to coping with pensioner speech and the butterfly flitting of topics of conversation; so I don't mind in the slightest if you go on to something unrelated.

I've watched S1 and S2 of Bridgerton but won't be able to watch S3 until I can convince hubby to regain Netflix (we were an addition on my son's account but he cancelled it when they wouldn't let him access it). But I have read the Bridgerton books by Julia Quinn (might not have spelt her name right so will have to come back and correct it later). Now, in the book, there is definitely no TenDonna vibe between Penelope and Colin whatsoever. Perish the thought. In the book he and other suitors only bother to look in Penelope's direction because she has magically lost weight - we are told she lost all that podginess but given no idea how or why it happened - which felt like a complete cop out to me. I was hoping Penelope would be loved for who she is but instead we got the usual "only slim girls can be loved" crap you get in romantic novels.

For that reason alone I'm keen to see how the TV series handles it.... pun unintended.

Now, I have intended to write a Regency-ish 10 or 14 and Donna story. Have posted one that sort of fits the bill, and am part way through writing another. Both are Jane Austen AUs, btw. As for doing a Bridgerton AU, I'm not sure I could manage to find that many lemons for them to constantly drink lemon juice (where the f*ck did that expensive habit come from in London Society? Getting orange juice was quite a treat) or be able to force myself to call the upper classes "the Ton". For some reason that really grated on my nerves when reading the books. And I've even seen other American authors use the term recently in other historical romances.

Now I've read absolutely loads of romance books over the past *mumble mumble* decades, including ones set in Regency London, and had never come across the ever-flowing lemon juice favoured by the Ton until I encountered Bridgerton. Hmm. Almost makes me suspect they took a slice of America and dumped it in fictional London.

Yes, I'm being sarcastic. Or flippant. I'll let you know later when the pain I'm currently in has buggered off.

Anyway, for all my griping, I'm not ruling such an AU out. Just let me get one of my versions of Persuasion done first and I can properly think about it. If you want to coerce/bribe me with images (manips or artwork) by all means throw them my way, as I find such things very inspirational. Honest I do.

So I’m writing a fanfic rn where post s2 the sibs go on a road trip. There’s no kugelblitz or anything like that. It’s basically the s1 timeline. However, I want to put Lila in it. The only problem is that the s3 events are what lead to her character growth (doesn’t kill Five because they have to work together to stop the kugelblitz, comes back to the academy because the briefcase won’t work and to drop off Stan, doesn’t hold a grudge against Diego because of the kugelblitz, tells the whole pregnancy thing to Diego because of the kugelblitz). I also don’t really want Stan to be in this fic. 

Ok, so I guess my question is, how would I insert Lila into this fic without having her kill five, hold a huge grudge against Diego, or bring Stan into it?

Hey, I think it's pretty cool, you're thinking through your options and hearing some viewpoints to get a wider picture of what your options are. And because you are (hopefully) going to get a few perspectives, I'm going to give you my personal assumptions as bluntly as I'm thinking of them and not fearing I'm going to end up unduely influencing you.

I think the one premise that you're "wrong" about and that will maybe put a different light on the other levels, is that Lila holds a grudge against Diego.

I don't believe that she does. I think that she is bitter and sad and bereft and angry (yes also with Diego) when she leaves the barn, but the only one she's potentially holding a grudge against is Five.

She murders her way into the commission just to see Diego's face. She loves him dearly and all her bravado and played up irritation with him in S3 is out of fear that he might not accept her and especially her with a little extra on board.

There's a great fic by Gin_Juice on AO3* where they work through the tension of Lila loving Diego, being Lila nevertheless and being extremely skittish about being honest/making herself vulnerable like that/trust and resulting commitment issues (although, I've never personally thought or read a fic I liked, where Lila actually distrusted Diego, I just think she thinks he has no reason to take her and the family she brings on. From her perspective she can't concieve of that) and all that against the fact that she has an intense desire to murder Five, violently.

But my personal assumption of Lila is that the version we see of her in most of season 2, snarky, a bit goofy, slightly overwhelmed by the amount she feels for Diego, but pleased he feels the same, here for some good back chat, is who she really is. Not this ball of pent up anger that she is in 2x10.

Yes, I think she will always have trouble to forgive Five but I think she can come to a point where she will understand that he was more of an instrument and the one responsible was the Handler and weighed against an eternal grudge against someone who is roughly as responsible for her parents death as a random natural catastrophy, and getting a chance to live a happy (if likely chaotic) family life with Diego, more often than not, I think she'd chose the latter.

She would defeintely have been able to choose differently to hold on to her grudge and drown in her anger and grief, but the opposite is just as possible.

And holding on to that, a) Diego and her family with him is at the end worth swollowing some of her anger, and b) she comes to the uneasy acceptance that Five is not responsible for her parents' death(she can still hate hims, Jesus, that has never stopped the Hargreeves from being a family), and then I think she can be a fun, chaotic part of the family who sill merry make Five's life hell (he'll do his best to pretend it doesn't bother him) and Diego's too (he'll live for it).

*Gin_Juice's fic is about a bunch of things, not focused on the Diego/Lila of it all, and comes with my highest recommendation and admiration!

(pt 2) YES, brotherssss!!! Oh, the fact that Andrés is so selfish and narcissistic otherwise just makes the hermanos bond even more special to me?? it hits different than if they'd just been relatively normal/good characters, idk. And yes that's such older brother behaviour of him!! I will tell you some happier observations of mine this time. One of my favourite "older bro" things Andrés does in the series, when he and Sergio sit down to drink together, he ALWAYS pours wine for Sergio first. In the bella ciao scene, his wedding scene in s4, even s3 he literally wakes up Sergio to come have breakfast with them, which means he didn't even allow either Martin or Tatiana to start without his hermanito lol. It's a very sweet minor detail that melts my heart. I can totally imagine them in the Toledo house, pretending they don't know each other but then andrés does little things like these, serving Sergio first or preparing coffee for his brother just the way he likes it before making his own cup :') OH, the feels. Yes, I agree, I definitely think the Bella Ciao lyrics are foreshadowing, and that is exactly what happened in the end. (I have been struck by that thought too, more than once 🥲 it's heartbreaking isn't it? especially when you consider that oslo/moscow had their loved ones with them when they died + a funeral. nairobi had a funeral too. tokio had rio with her before she died. but andrés had none of that, sergio was miles away and then ofc they had to escape leaving him behind... don't think about the guantanamera scene lyrics in this context too. Well, I can't blame you, angst is made to be shared! Poor Sergio, he really is in denial at the beginning, huh, insisting Andrés should get into the tunnel... and that's another thing that gets me, because truly there was no time, waiting for Andrés and not blowing up the tunnel basically meant getting captured, and yet Sergio who's usually so cautious and always aware of every risk just refuses to see it. Andrés must get into the tunnel and to safety! And then he gets more and more desperate when it really becomes apparent that it isn't going to happen :(

Oh, I definitely agree! Part of the appeal of big brother Andrés and of their bond imo is the contrast between their usual demeanor and how they behave around each other. When they're together they're a big brother and a little brother, you know 🥺🥺 OOOH thanks for sharing! I don't know if I ever noticed that (if I did I forgot) it really is sweet! Hi guys! So i'm a byler but not a "firmly byler endgame believer". And sometimes I feel like I get lost with so many theories, so I decided to make a list of all the clues/theories that I take into consideration when thinking about the possibility of canon byler.

I hope it can help someone!

Too much time dedicated to them/their relationship. Okay so I'm not sure if they were planned since the beginning as some people say, but they definitely started building it up since season 3. So that's already 2 seasons of building, and if we count season 2 -in which their relationship and onscreen time was a main focus- it's already 3. Also I'm sure they wrote Will as if he had this feelings all along, and also Mike cared about him a whole lot since season 1. That's too much time to build a rejection arc.

Parallelism with other canon ships. Stranger Things works a lot with the couples paralleling each other: Milkvan/J4ncy/J0pper/L*max had the same arc in seasons 3 (they quarrel) and 4 (they're appart for some reason and they come back together -the only one with a truly happy ending rn is j0pper). BUT we've seen a lot of parallels between byler and l*max, and byler and j4ncy too. Also I guess Byler=St4ncy: they are the third party in their love triangles, in love with their crushes since the beginning. But also in the final shot byler is together with the main couples -in this case J4ncy again- so i really don't know.

Will is a main character. Let's not forget Will is gonna be the central focus of season 5 according to the brothers themselves. Season 3 and 4 focused on building up his crush on Mike, how he feels different and misunderstood even by the people he loves the most, and basically how miserable he is, even sacrificing his happiness for that of Mike and Eleven. And we've seen this from his pov, making us relate to him, on purpose. This HAS to go somewhere, right?

Some weird scenes with no current explanation. The weird milkvan kiss at the end of s3?? The airport scene and why he denied the hug?? Why is Mike defensive towards Will if he supposedly doesn't know about his feelings for him? It's just too weird. Either we get an explanation next season, or I'd have to admit right now the different byler theories about it are the only thing making sense...

Friends don't lie. Season 5 is gonna parallel season 1 (said by the duffer). The first thing we learn about Will is that he can't lie, or he can't lie to Mike especifically. We've seen him mad at El for lying to Mike about her and Angela being friends etc. So he doesn't lie. And Mike doesn't like lies either, as his motto "Friends don't lie" says. But Will lied to Mike this season. He lied about the painting and about El's feelings and about his own, and this is going to explode in his face. There's no way they don't adress this next season, so eventually Mike is gonna know about Will's feelings. Why bother so much? Why couldn't they be more straightforward with it like with Steve and Nancy...? So that Will gets rejected?

favorite season so far is probably season 2! particularly the way it expanded the character of dolores. it's probably one of the most interesting and compelling arcs I've seen for an AI character in that she ends up coming to a conclusion a human would never come to and moving in a direction a human would have difficulty going -- ie that her positive emotions and the genuine love and hope she possesses are intentionally programmed in and carefully designed to keep her where she is, so what for a human would be natural feelings and part of our humanity, she begins to see as elements of her enslavement and tries to keep them locked away but at the same time she's unable to help holding them dear. just really beautiful character and thematic work and i also love the expansion of william's backstory and persona, the truly crazy amount of willores parallels, bernard's storyline about identity and memory and agency and his continued complex relationship with ford, akecheta (!!!!!), lee's redemption arc, maeve's reunion with her daughter. It's a tough choice because i really really loved season 1 as well, and season 2 occasionally had issues with wasting some time, but overall i think i like season 2 the most. :)

As for season 3... it's tough because i really love the environment of the parks for a lot of reasons, partly because that idea of an artificial, tightly controlled world is just a very interesting setting with a ton of potential. I do hope we'll get to see more of the parks again at some point. But that being said, thematically the story was at the point where it just couldn't stay in the parks anymore and dolores needed to have this arc of kind of seeing beyond her own experience and working through how westworld was in many ways just a reflection of the real world, and ultimately humanity broadly speaking was not her enemy, but just a bunch of other people who are trapped under systemic oppression and not given a real chance to meaningfully choose, just like her. I did think season 3 was the weakest season thus far by a pretty wide margin, it felt largely like setup for a future part of the narrative to me (especially maeve's and bernard's arcs which felt like total afterthoughts, they barely even fit into this part of the story at all except on paper and were basically just tagging along after dolores the entire time) and the setting was definitely more grim, felt a bit flat due to the quick pace and was generally less fun. But I do think it was a necessary change at least for now and it basically worked for what it was. I'm curious to see how they characterize the outside world going forward as obviously they intended for it to look very different after s3, but it's not clear how yet or what that will mean for the characters.

my favorite character is william! 😔 i dearly love all the characters (esp the main 4) and i think they're all interesting and compelling in their own ways but he is my #1 blorbo for sure. It's hard to explain why i connect with him so deeply but i think it has to do with (I've said this before so you might have seen that) my own issues with struggling to see myself as a good person, because he has this thing where he'll behave ethically or do something good, but everybody around him keeps insisting that it doesn't matter because deep down he's bad and nothing good he does really "counts" or weighs in his favor. It sounds a lot like the voice in my own head that tells me i'm just faking it every time i do something nice, and that i don't deserve it when people are kind to me in return -- and of course william has actually done terrible things to an extent that i haven't, but I really like that the viewer is kind of repeatedly encouraged to consider how real his supposed "badness" actually is and exactly how deep that goes, and what that idea even means. because after all we as the audience were made to care about and really fall in love with william initially, as dolores did, before finding out everything about who he really is at the same time that she did, and there's a part of us (and of her) that wants to see the good in him and wants to believe he isn't fundamentally bad deep down, or at least be able to authentically honor the goodness he's had in the past and the concrete benefits of help and care that he's given to others. So there's definitely a very sharp intentionality to the dualism of his persona that i really love on a craft level as well as relating to it personally, and i love how the show has explored the question of his character so far (especially as of the ending of s3). Also this is maybe a bit on the nose but i like that he's a total insane weirdo freak because... i relate to that too for obvious reasons lol. <3

I am familiar with person of interest!! I've seen some of it although I don't think i got past season 1, (it's just kind of a long show and i think i got distracted) but it's a really cool premise with some great writing so I'll be sure to watch more :) thanks for the recommendation!

Yeah, for sure they're playing the girls. I don't really know why anyone thinks Mick can be swayed to betray Rio, that's not the vibe I get from him or their dynamic at all. I think they are the equivalent of the Beth/Ruby bond so I don't see Beth having any pull with Mick. Like, it ain't like Beth and Mick got ish going on like Rio and Beth do, Mick has nothing that makes him feel any sort of need to be on Beth's side, especially after she shot Rio. So, unless the writers just want to further screw with things in the worst way, I think Rio and Mick are solid.

Yeah, I only binged GG so I can't say i have long term knowledge of their nonsense, but I can tell you s3 feels different than the past seasons and I really don't know what's up with the vibe yet. Like, I get a shift in mood given Rio and Beth are strained at best relationship wise, but even other things feel off. However, I think it's because of the time frame they started it in. They really should have given us a clearer picture of what happened directly after as a result of Beth shooting Rio, instead of starting where they did and then we'd feel more comfortable with the way things are going because right now we can't even just assume what happened during that time, we kinda have nothing to go off of about it aside from they've been trying to make fake money. Idk, Feel like we needed more than that.

So apparently it was confirmed that three new male characters will be cast for season 4. I don't want to judge just yet what they're going to contribute yet, because it's still early, but I'm now nervous lol I really hope they're like Tommy/Carol/Troy types, because holy shit there's already so many main characters. Also, why all male??? Hmmmm..

I don’t know how to say this and I swear I don’t want this to come across rude, but like, there’s literally no reason to complain about a season you haven’t seen yet, and all it does is give yourself a pessimistic attitude that’s just gonna make you and other ppl feel crappy. For starters, I genuinely just don’t know how to explain at this point that new characters are essential to advancing plotlines and in adding new locations, both of which are obviously a big part of s4! there’s literally just no way for them to write s4 without adding new characters. And in the case of these four characters, absolutely nothing has been “confirmed”, it’s 100% rumors that are just repeated by news outlet after news outlet. Maybe they are true, but there’s also a VERY good chance they’re fake just like 80% of news articles claiming to have information about s4 (and just while I’m on the topic I’ve seen that one “leak” EVERYWHERE claiming that s4 is gonna be out October 2020 and I just want to say rn that that is absolute bs so if we could maybe ignore it so ppl don’t get their hopes up and then complain later when it obviously isn’t out by then). But yeah, those 4 characters are complete rumors anyway. But even if they are true I’m sorry but there’s literally nothing wrong with adding them? NONE of them are rumored to be MAIN characters to begin with, or at least, the original source of the rumors didn’t claim they were main characters, idk what every news outlet has said after that when spreading the rumors with no backing. As for 3 of them, from the very very little we “know” about them, they seem p clearly to be high school aged guys who I’m guessing are maybe ppl Jonathan meets at his new school. Maybe antagonists, maybe friends. Maybe they’re upperclassmen bullies to Will. Or maybe they’re in Hawkins and the show is giving Steve some new ppl. But nothing about their descriptions makes them seem important so let’s not overreact to the simple possibility of them existing. It was only the fourth character that seemed like he may be important, but again, that’s bc stories and plotlines cannot advance without new characters being added and that’s smth this fandom just needs to get used to. Ppl having been complaining about this since 2016, and I’m sorry but I’ve been fed up with it since 2016. New characters are important, and I could even somewhat understand the criticism if it was main characters being added, but it’s not and the concept of criticizing a show for adding small roles to advance the plot is just ridiculous.

And about the “all male” thing too, I get what you mean, and trust me I’m also frustrated with how this show has so many more male mains than female, but I do think we gotta acknowledge that first off, its rlly not as bad as ppl make it out to be? 2 adults with a 1:1 ratio. 4 teens with a 2:2 ratio. And then 6 kids with a 4:2 ratio of boys to girls. Out of our mains, there’s rlly only a one character difference between male and female at this point. And it’s def complicated bc to some extent it comes down to who you want to personally interpret as a main character versus just a main cast member, but I think those 12 are rlly our core ppl even if there’s other roles that are technically credited as mains but don’t genuinely have that role (Karen, Billy, etc.). Also I didn’t count Erica in that bc I think it’s debatable whether she’s gonna be a main character going forward and we’ll have to wait to see, but she was absolutely a main character in s3. So yeah. This show absolutely has issues with diversity in so many respects, but in terms of male to female ratios, it’s rlly come so far from where it was in season 1? And while there’s always room for improvement, I do think criticisms at this point that are just “there’s not enough female characters” are kinda shallow and if u wanna talk female representation there’s a lot more meaningful stuff than just comparing numbers out of context. Also like again with this stuff it’s important to note that it is minor characters. If this was main characters I would totally agree with u that without context it seems a little crazy to be adding 4 new men and no women, but these are likely super minor roles and we don’t even know what their purpose is. And as much as ppl wanna deny it, a character’s purpose in the plot is gonna be a big factor in what gender they’re written to be, esp for minor characters.

Idk this got long and rambly and I’m just typing this out in the car sitting in my driveway for like 20 minutes even tho I thought it would take like 2 but dhskmskshsjsbs. I genuinely don’t want this to come across rude and I am just tryna express my opinion but I just don’t have a lot of patience on this topic bc ppl have been using the same complaints since 2016 and the vast majority of which I think are nonsensical. I think there’s absolutely ways that adding too many characters is a problem but I also feel v strongly that this show has done a good job balancing its characters, but more than that I feel much more strongly that adding new characters is an important part of any show and most of all, that judging any decision about s4 before watching it is just harmful to yourself and others. It’s giving yourself a negative attitude that’s gonna affect ur ability to go into the season willing to accept change and have an open mind or enjoy what happens bc ur so prepared and fixated on being critical. And it has the same effect on ppl who may not even agree with you but just from seeing the complaints and judgement from other ppl makes them feel bad about a show they love and affects their ability to enjoy it

when I started shipping it if I did: "By the way, Hunk, you really came through in the clutch back there. Without you, the mission would have been a failure.“ The entire thing around Keith making a joke opened my eyes to how cute they can be together, but this is moment that sealed my fate, and I’m spiritually obligated to reference it whenever possible.

What makes me happy about them: Other people have articulated this way better than I ever could, but basically Hunk and Keith are different in so many ways and complement each other well!! And even in s1 they had moments of really getting along (their dialogue during the Klunk hug, their dynamic in the Castle party scene, “Hunk. Calm down. And yes, blasting.” etc bc my memory is shit rn), and that was before they had what was pretty much their Bonding Episode, haha. Also, speaking of That, Keith appreciates how smart Hunk is! He gives Hunk emotional support and makes sure he knows his work is appreciated! And although Keith was probably annoyed by it at the time, I love how Hunk just point-blank asks questions and says goofy things about him being Galra instead of tiptoeing around it like someone with an actual filter would have done. This entire paragraph probably reads like an overexcited dog wagging its tail, but I’m love Heith! They’ve made me a happier person in general!

What makes me sad about them: They’re a fricking rare pair, oh my god.

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven’t really read that much fic for this fandom?? And like, almost everything I have read has come from the Heith tag on AO3, but I’m still super picky to begin with, so I don’t think I’ve noticed any fic trends with them that annoy me. I guess my only complaint is the sheer number of fics which have them be the background couple for ships that make me uncomfortable (seriously, the works number on their tag nose-dives as soon as I start filtering out stuff), but I recognize that’s a personal issue.

things I look for in fanfic: Again, same issue as above with me not having read that much?? But I guess I look for like, G-rated fic since nsfw stuff for this fandom in general makes me want to peel my skin off, woops. I would love to see a good plotty thing with them which explores and tests their relationship and isn’t afraid to show them working together and disagreeing with each other in turn, but like, I don’t think such a thing exists rn.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Lance for either one, and also would be happy if Hunk ends up with Shay. It wouldn’t bother me at all for that ship to become canon because they’re adorable together.

My happily ever after for them: GOD…Like, my headcanon for how they would get together in a canonverse setting has always been Keith catches feelings first, starts hanging around Hunk all the time like a clingy cat, and Hunk ends up liking him back thanks to getting to know him better from spending so much time together, so then I guess the continuation for it would be they get together, don’t die in this literal space war, eventually go home to Earth, and get to have a peaceful rest of their lives together. I’m a simple woman with simple needs, and I just want them to be happy, oh my god.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: I don’t care?? I’ve never cared about cuddling as much as fandoms apparently do.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Sharing their interests and hobbies with each other. It probably starts with Hunk info-dumping to Keith about stuff like engineering and cooking, but over time Keith becomes comfortable enough to start talking about his interests too, and their conversations start to balance out better.

How I feel about this character: He’s good…tries his best…loves his friends and family…I love him…I mean, yeah, he’s not perfect, and he’s done stuff in canon I didn’t like, but his heart’s in a good place. (tbh I’ve basically spent the last few weeks getting emo over Lance while writing notes for that AU I told you about. Like, literally tearing up from how much love I have for him while plotting a fic. I’m ridiculous.)

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Hunk, Keith

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Him and Allura! I love the idea of a friendship between them where Lance finally Takes A Hint about her not being interested and simmers his flirting down into a running joke between them where he just gives her random compliments because she sure as hell deserves them. I think they could be good friends if he would just chill already. (Also, you know how much I love the dynamic he had with Coran in the homesick scene and pod-cleaning scene.)

My unpopular opinion about this character: Don’t really know if it would count as ~unpopular~ since I’ve seen other people criticize this as well, but I dislike the fandom’s fixation on Langst or Lance being tortured or whatever. I know he’s not like, 100% happy and confident all the time, but it feels like some fans go too far with how they interpret his issues, and it can get kinda…fetishy, I guess. Also, it annoys me when people criticize Shiro for getting onto Lance for his more inappropriate behavior, like the pilot scene where he cuts Lance off before Lance can finish that "particle barrier” line. Would those people prefer Lance actually be allowed to say what sounds like a thinly veiled dick joke to a girl he’d basically just met?

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I have hope in s3 giving us some good Lance development (I Want To Believe), but as it stands now, I’m still a bit annoyed by how s2e10 handled his insecurity about feeling like he doesn’t serve a purpose for the team. Yes, I Know I just complained about fandom focusing too much on angsty stuff for him, but the way the show introduced that issue and then appeared to resolve it in the same episode felt like a cop-out me. Also, despite the odds of it happening being excruciatingly low, I love the thought of Lance being confirmed bi in canon.
