How often have furries shown up in anime? And I don't mean canonically anthropomorphic animals, I mean humans who dress up as cartoony creatures for fun. Outside of a few mascot scenes, I can't really think of any instances where that happens.

Maybe it could be an episode of Dress-Up Darling, where Gojo is commissioned to make a fursuit and doesn't think it's weird at all (while Marin does). It turns out the suiter mostly wears it as a way to cope with their social anxiety, which turns into a relatable discussion about managing that sort of thing. At the end, although he refuses to suit, Gojo allows them to make him a sona drawing and puts it in a special spot above his desk.
