boss in the bossfight: [gunning for mel with murder in his eyes after she counterspelled his badass call lightning AND dropped a 4th level fireball on his head]

me after everything he threw at me missed: ........... okay but. melliwyk can have a little imperilment? as a treat? 👉👈

#[mel voice] WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON #a little imperilment is fun and exciting!! raise the stakes!! get a lil whump going!! builds character!!!#my two favorite things to happen in a dnd fight are a) whip the most ass and b) be VERY vulnerable and need protection/ saving #I'm a simple woman #he had a 5d10 legendary action attack and he was trying to get me with it after EVERY SINGLE TURN #but he rolled low and then when he rolled decent I cast shield and it saved my ass #if he had the chance he would have definitely for real killed her :')#which to be fair is more peril than I actually want kfghdkdg but we've got revivify in the party it would have been fine #I love combat as mel because EITHER it's a normal fight and she cleans up without getting hit once #OR it's a boss fight and she does something big and cool that pisses off the boss BUT DOESN'T KILL THEM and then she almost dies #our first story arc's final boss was a gulthias tree that she threw fire at and it threw an entire goddamn tree at her #about me #my OCs #melliwyk
