sarumi sending each other sexy and silly selfies
Imagine this right after they start dating, maybe things get busy at S4 and so the two of them have to be apart for a bit. Yata’s bummed because here he just finally hooked up with Saruhiko and they can barely hang out, Fushimi’s even being sent to another city for a couple days on a mission. He’s fiddling with his phone and then he gets an idea, making a funny face and sending the selfie to Fushimi like ‘see what you’re missing.’ Fushimi doesn’t respond and Yata starts second guessing himself a little, like okay maybe that was stupid. But then Fushimi sends him a selfie back, Fushimi’s not good at making silly faces or anything so maybe it’s like him pretending to stab a sleeping Doumyouji in the lobby of their hotel. Yata grins like hey he got the hang of it after all.
For the next day or two Yata starts sending Fushimi silly pictures throughout the day, even if there’s no time for them to talk or text this is at least one way to keep in contact. Even when Fushimi’s busy he still sends Yata pictures back, his aren’t as silly but he’s trying his best. Yata’s chatting with the guys at Bar Homra about it like yeah Saruhiko isn’t the best with silly things but he’s trying oh hey he sent me a pic just now. Yata opens it and immediately closes the phone like oops I didn’t realize what time it was gotta get to work by. Once he’s alone Yata opens the picture again, face all red because Fushimi sent him a selfie featuring Fushimi lying on a fancy bed without any clothes on. Yata’s mouth is dry as he texts back that the last picture was, um…really nice. Fushimi responds ‘send me one later’ and Yata gets this almost giddy smile as he finds himself thinking he needs to figure out a way to make the next one a really good one (and hoping this means Fushimi’s gonna send him more like this, funny is fine but this is even better).
#sarumi#Talking K#imagine Fushimi sending Yata something really spicy#and Yata's just staring at it with his face getting redder and redder#but he can't lose either so he has to send Fushimi one back#then they're sending funny ones during the day and spicy ones in the evening

WE STARTED GETTING CLOSE FRESHMEN YEAR, WHEN ALL OF OUR FRIENDS WERE SMOKING CIGARETTES AND WE COULDN’T STAND THAT SECONDHAND SMOKE SO WE’D LEAVE AND DRIVE AROUND UNTIL YOU HAD TO DROP ME OFF AT HOME They said that the big bad wolf of Sekichiku was nothing but bad news, but then why was he so warm in your arms? You couldn’t believe even when you opened your eyes. Fushimi Omi driving his motorcycle just a little slower this time, his leather jacket pressed against your cheek as the night waned. Everyone called him “Mad Wolf”, a title only fitting for the most ruthless of predators amongst the underground of your high school. Yet… how could be a wolf be so gentle? So kind? So lovely in every way?
It started with a party meant for anyone but you. You didn’t know why you decided this was the night to rebel, but it was a mistake. Instead of putting your head in the books and staying quiet in the front of the class, for once you decided to attend a gathering full of things you’ve only read about. Drinks and drugs were mixed in an unhealthy solution for failing tests, missing homework, and any other teenage problem associated with the academic system. When you found yourself outside for the chance of anything except breaking the law, the epitome of what you were avoiding showed up. Omi, in his scarred and bruised glory, quietly closed the door behind him after noticing your rigid state. When his loud boots thumped against the patio floorboards, you wondered what this looked like. A tall, strong wolf with a smile of sharp teeth and narrowed eyes staring down upon his next prey. But, when you turned to meet his amber eyes, you didn’t find a villain belonging to the fairytale of “Little Red Riding Hood”. Instead, Omi softly smiled with dull teeth and eyes that glowed underneath the golden street lamps. When he spoke, his voice healed you like a spoonful of honey, the words void of claws like you expected. “Are you okay? I noticed you’ve been outside for some time, is there anything I can do to help?” Before you shook your head, your gaze subconsciously fell upon the motorcycle chained to a fence, a helmet decorated in boyish stickers that referenced children T.V. shows made you falter. When Omi followed your line of sight, his expression gleamed with something of interest. “Ever driven on a motorcycle before?” This time, you shook your head, arms wrapped around you to keep warm before Omi offered his hand. “Let’s go then.” At your concerned expression at riding a motorcycle with one of the most infamous delinquents around, Omi exhaled through his nose, understanding your apprehension but disappointed nonetheless. It looked like he expected this sort of reaction, though it did nothing to comfort the “Mad Wolf”. “I promise, it’ll be okay. I’ll be extra careful, you have my word.” Omi had no reason to lie, not when his friends were just behind the walls doing everything that got a high schooler excited. You thought something would’ve deterred you from agreeing, like the secondhand smoke scent from Omi’s jacket or the manmade rips in his jeans. But, maybe there was something else that made you take his hand, like the worn leather bracelet you noticed Nachi also wore or the wallet of family photos peeking from his pocket. Either way, you took Omi’s hand, letting him lead you to his motorcycle. His hand was calloused and rough from the years of doing god knows what, his knuckles stained with remnants of a fight not too long ago. Yet, when he latched the spare helmet on your head, you noticed his hands smelt like flour and coffee. If you closed your eyes, it would’ve felt like a white knight leading you onto his horse despite it being the complete opposite. You sat behind Omi, unfamiliar with the position of such a vehicle. Omi checked in on you, looking over his shoulder as he searched for something in your face. Regret, embarrassment, shame, possibly. “I won’t go fast, don’t worry. But, you can still… um… hold on?” When Omi’s voice raised to a question at the end, you didn’t notice his stutter as you hid your face in his shoulder, hugging his waist. Omi’s abdomen tensed for a moment, before relaxing as he let out a deep breath. You would’ve given up anything to know what he was thinking in that moment. You didn’t have time to ask before Omi revved his engine, driving off down the pine-tree ridden road in your small town. True to his word, Omi didn’t drive like he normally did, with no regard for who saw him speeding past some rundown cop. But, Omi patiently cruised down the familiar roads, past the houses with blacked-out windows and everyone asleep. You should’ve felt scared, terrified even. But, you couldn’t. Not when the moon was bigger than ever, with a crown of stars gracing the night’s visage. Not when
this was the most daring thing you’ve ever done up until your junior year, not when the party was miles behind you, not when Omi was this caring of someone he’s never even officially met before. “Can we go a little faster?” After Omi got your confirmation you were serious, you lifted your head to watch the stars pass by in a blur. Yet, Omi’s golden gaze remained consistent, his sights drifting to your bright smile and exhilarating awe. Without realizing, your fists clenched the material of Omi’s jacket whenever a turn was made, your fingers passing over Omi’s stomach. He wondered if you could feel his heart leap whenever your breath ghosted over his already red ears. It was a hour of incoherent conversation and mumbles of nothings before you were outside of your home, your window still open from sneaking out a little while back. When Omi silently stopped, neither of you knew what to do. You didn’t want to let go, nor did you want to accept the best night of your life was suddenly over. Omi turned, both of you much closer than before. His eyes carried the aura of the stars, his smile as consistent as the moon. Fushimi Omi was made of whatever made the night worth staying up for. You never wanted to sleep again. “Can I see you again?” And again, and again, and again. Omi nodded, at a loss of words for some reason. When you gave back his helmet, your hands brushed and you nearly dropped it from the sheer feeling alone. Omi was too considerate to act like he noticed, so he bid you goodbye—I’ll pick you up tomorrow, okay?—as you disappeared inside. He didn’t leave until he saw you wave from your room, to which he waved back with a twinkle in his eye. When Omi drove away, both of you let out a breath, hands over your hearts at what could’ve been something more. Only time would tell what happened next. SWEAR THAT WAS YESTERDAY, BUT IN TWO WEEKS, I’LL BE MOVING SOUTH AND YOU’D BE MOVING TO A TOWN THAT I HAD NEVER HEARD OF I WISH WE HAD MORE TIME, WHY DID I EVER WANT TO GROW UP? It almost felt like yesterday that everything was so much more simple. When friends didn’t die, when the burden of college didn’t weigh you down, when change didn’t come in the form of extremities. At least one thing stayed the same: Omi and his starry eyes and his moonlit smile. Though, that’s dimmed ever since Nachi. Omi didn’t wear his leather jacket anymore, instead letting you keep it when the evenings got cold for the summertime. He must’ve washed it a thousand times over; you didn’t know if it was because of you or the memories attached to it. Either way, Omi was beginning to stop staring when you showed up in his jacket, the only thing left of his past he’s been trying to erase. A year had passed since the party, but it felt like nothing. It felt like all those nights of stargazing, constellation-finding, and moon-chasing became blurred together, a collage of being alive with someone you had just met. Now, Omi was more than a friend, he was your best friend, a soulmate, maybe something more. Omi’s loud steps remained the same, though he was more quiet this time on the roof. You two laid next to each other, hands getting closer and closer before someone pulled away last second. The summer days passed in a haze, nothing particularly exciting until the sunsets onward, where you two knew exactly what to do. Everything was quiet when it came to being with Omi past midnight, except the unsteady beats of your hearts when the possibility of something more shined. Despite that, it was quiet, something both of you longed for during the day. “Do you ever think about what the stars will look like at Yosei?” When you asked, Omi slightly frowned, as if he forgot he was moving to the heart of Veludo Way in just two weeks time. After careful consideration of your curiosity, Omi stretched his arms, resting his head upon them as he seemed to search for something. He always did that, Omi never thought anything was simple.
“No… they won’t look like they do now, I suppose. It won’t be the same.” Without you there by my side, both of you ignored the unsaid words that came with the statement. You nodded, knowing you felt the same way. Veludo Way was a distant world away, Yosei University was taking your Omi away. Light years away. “How have your brothers reacted to the news?” At that, the tension that was ebbing away at the conversation eroded, and Omi’s light came back as usual. Omi ran his free hand through his hair, smiling at some distant memory he wanted to share with you. “Not any good, that’s for sure. Kai & Gaku can’t imagine Pops waking them up since I always did. It’s gonna be a big adjustment for them to actually take responsibility of their own lives.” Although Omi rolled his eyes, he did so fondly whenever he thought about his two younger brothers. You knew he was immensely proud of the young men they’ve been growing into, it was a sense of pride that he had instilled inside him ever since you’ve met him. Ever since you saw those faded stickers still on his helmet, you knew who placed those. “Of course, a life without you isn’t worth imagining.” Shit. You meant to say it lightheartedly, but it came out heavier than expected. With that, a quietness settled between you two, both of you trying to find the right words for the occasion of leaving each other. “You’ll be fine without me, I know it.” But, I don’t like it like that, selfishly enough. I know you’ll be better than ever, but I wish… When a shooting star passed out of the corner of your eye, you pointed it out with the same junior-year awe as if this was your first life. Omi was glad to know the news was right; the meteor shower of the season was tonight, as if it was a last hurrah before both of you left this small town for good. “Make a wish!” I wish we had more time. Despite the wish pulling on his heart strings, Omi turned his head, your side profile greeting him with a smile. The stars were reflected in your eyes, and Omi wondered what a sunrise would look like. It was too late now. “Let’s see a sunrise together when summer comes around, okay?” You nodded, turning and seeing the moon. You didn’t make a wish, not when you had everything you wanted right in your sight. Omi took your hand again, and it was softer than last time he offered it. Omi brought your conjoined hands to his lips, murmuring something about a promise before pressing a kiss to your knuckles. You missed the final shooting star of the night, instead you saw it pass in Omi’s gentle eyes as he leaned in. “Thank you for the summer, my lucky shooting star.” You thought of a wish as Omi kissed you. I wish we were something more. YOU SAID YOU’LL SEE ME WHEN WE’RE HOME FOR THE SUMMER WE WON’T HAVE TO WORK SO WE’RE GONNA DO WHATEVER THE HELL WE WANNA ‘CAUSE WE KNOW THAT ONE DAY, WE’LL BE GONE FROM EACH OTHER Despite only being a year away, your hometown almost felt unfamiliar. New employees manned the typical shops you used to frequent, a new graduating class was celebrating, and overall, people were now older. But, Omi didn’t change. Not with his singular scar on his cheek, his eyes lighting up when he sees you, his warm touch when he hugs you. You heard his bag drop at his front door first before feeling his arms hug you, his words comforting as you two embrace after so, so long. “Welcome home.” You greeted him back, the words sticking to your skin like a sheen layer of sweat that always came with the incoming summer heat. Home… was it your traditional suburb with kids playing in the street and a generation of the same mailmen home? Or, was it something else? You felt Omi wrap his arm around your shoulders, his muscle as present as ever as he guided you to visit his family, the brothers happily welcoming you both into the Fushimi household. Home was Omi, that was all. You exhaled, bending down to ruffle Kai’s hair and praise Gaku for how big he’s gotten. After you politely greeted Omi’s father, to which he harrumphed and insisted you had to call him by his name at this point, you knew this
was home as well. Home for Omi, and due to the open hearts of the Fushimi boys, home for you, too.
You found yourself in Omi’s bedroom, something you weren’t familiar with. It was still clean, organized, and full of warm tones upon black walls, surely something attempting to cover his past delinquent days. As the door clicked close, Omi gently tugged you onto his bed beside him, bringing out his gaze reserved only for you. You didn’t hesitate to lean your head on his shoulder, feeling at ease. Omi took your hand, his grip careful but verging onto desperation. As if being away from you for so long had taken everything in him. You knew that wasn’t true by any means, but Omi’s shuddering breath and hand squeeze tried to say otherwise. When you cupped Omi’s face, he relaxed in your touch, leaning into your hands as he looked down on you; you could tell Omi was a bit embarrassed to let you see how emotional he was getting at the reunion. You didn’t expect a man who’s life was rough around the edges to have the most sincere of hearts, but Omi was always like this. Always gentle, always kind, always gentle in every way. “I missed you, too.” When you said those words, Omi moved forward as if making up for lost time, both of you falling upon the bed in a heap of giggles and whispers. It was everything but I love you because that would change everything, something neither of you needed during this time. Instead, a combination of I hope summer lasts forever and I could only think of you when it was a full moon that filled the room of someone you wish you had knew sooner. WE’LL HAVE LIVES IN TWO DIFFERENT SUBURBS WE’LL HAVE FAMILIES WITH DIFFERENT LOVERS BUT FOR NOW, I KNOW I’LL SEE YOU WHEN WE’RE HOME FOR THE SUMMER It was the first night you had spent in your own bedroom before a knock sounded on your window. When you sleepily opened your eyes, Omi’s figure was illuminated by the moon, his eyes still warm of starlight despite being shadowed. You hurried to unlatch the window to let him in, not bothering to question how he managed to sneak to your room so silently. Although busting into each other’s room wasn’t an impossibility, it was only on rare occasions that you two ever encroached on such intimate territory. Though, neither of you were in high school anymore. Perhaps, it was different now. “What time is it?” You mumbled, your helping hand lingering longer than one would expect of a friend. Omi didn’t mind, he never did, as he looked around for something. When Omi located his jacket still hung around your desk chair, he wrapped it around your shoulders as the chilly breeze entered through the open window. “Time to fulfill our senior year promise. Ready?” You didn’t think twice and followed Omi outside of the window, knowing at this point you’d trust him with your life. Omi knew your backyard like the back of his hand as he avoided setting any sprinklers or devices off, not needing your guidance. You watched his broad back attempt to fit through small spaces, it took everything in you not to laugh at how ridiculous all of this was. Sneaking around like there was still curfew in place, as if both of you weren’t legally adults. By now, Omi had reserved his spare helmet only for you, meaning it was second nature for him to close the clasp snugly. Although this time, his eyes melted at the sight of you, as if in disbelief you were standing in front of him after all of this time. Tiredly, you rested your head against Omi’s shoulder as he made sure you were situated in the back of his motorcycle, something he had left at home. Omi drove off, the speed just right so that it’d blow your hair back the way you liked it. Despite being on the vehicle a countless number of times, it still took your breath every time of how fortunate you were. You tightly hugged his waist, wondering if he could feel the butterflies against your ribcage. Before you could ask why both of you were up so early, Omi parked in the same spot as always when things became a bit much.
It was off closer towards the woods, where a picnic area besides the lake still had the same paint from a decade ago. The grass tickled your ankles as you hopped off, admiring the calm waters before a bird chirped. At that, Omi walked up beside you, his footsteps always loud in your presence. A softer hand gently held onto your chin, forcing you to look up. You noticed the water reflecting the sky first as hues of orange and blue dominated your vision. It was the first sunrise you’ve been awake for, and you were sharing it with the man of the night himself. But, when you glanced at Omi, you realized he wasn’t just made of stars and moonlight. The sunrise emphasized the warmth of his eyes even more as a golden glow surrounded his happy smile. Omi was everything worth staying up for, everything from the sunrises to the sunsets and more. I love you, you wanted to say but didn’t. It would change everything, it would mean that the possibility of “something more” could become “nothing”. You couldn’t, neither could Omi. Perhaps… this was all it ever could be. YOU’VE BEEN BUSY, THAT’S OKAY I STILL CAN’T WAIT TO BE HOME FOR THE SUMMER When you had driven off back to your college, the first text from Omi was reminiscent of a simpler time, where kissing on rooftops was the most thrilling thing you’ve ever done. “I’ll see you next summer, okay?” It made you pull over and rest your forehead against the wheel, keeping your eyes closed as you felt like the sun was too bright. It was still too hot, the clouds were too big, the sky too blue. It was too much, too far away from Omi who was heading the other direction. You wished your head was resting against Omi’s shoulder as he drove a little more over the speed limit underneath the moon and stars. You wished the sun was beaming onto both of you after witnessing its earliest hours. You wished you were with Omi for every moment in between the best memories of your life. Summer was such a cruel concept, a promise that could be taken away at any time. I wish we had more time, you thought, knowing there was nothing else you could do. Omi put his phone in his pocket, knowing it was time to leave after seeing you off. Life was so uncertain, it’s as if both of you knew this was the last summer you two would share before even more things changed. But, despite only having three or so years, it didn’t feel like enough. If only he told you he loved you at that sunrise, if only he didn’t just kiss you without explaining what it meant, if only he could drive you around for just a day longer. If only… I wish we were something more, Omi thought, but it was for nothing. I love you, you typed but put your phone in your pocket. The possibility of something more became nothing.

WONDERFUL SCHOOL DAYS: MY PRECIOUS RED
CHAPTER 5: WINTER
Translation: Naru-kun Raws: skyflyinginaction
* Gakuen K (List of Chapters) * Projects & Chapters
In the end, the feeling of discomfort was unexpectedly terrible and she was unable to recover to the point where she could walk home. Although Fushimi's hands had helped her, she was so shocked that she was forced to undergo an examination and she went to the hospital that day.
The next day, after a medical examination, she returned to the girls' dormitory.
(Oh, just, because everyone is taking classes.), she thought.
However, although there should have been no abnormalities at the time of the exam, she had a fever at noon and she stopped going to school that day.
She knew what the reason was, probably from Yata's words.
She believed it was because those words were stuck in her chest and she was worried. In other words, it was something spiritual.
Because it was the first time Yata had yelled at her like that.
She was surprised by the word "betrayal" and that Yata thought that of her.
She didn't know why, of course he was hurt, and maybe he was angry. Because, Yata, he just said that and left the hospital room without hearing her excuse.
But at the same time, Yata's face at that moment couldn't get out of her head.
More than that, she didn't understand why. She thought he was hurt.
His face burned at the back of her eyes and it was very painful.
Actually, it was the opposite, but she still felt that she had hurt Yata.
Is it because he was worried and distraught? By the time Kukuri came to visit her at the end of school, her fever had risen higher and exceeded 38 degrees. Even the next morning, she did not come down. She apparently caught a cold since she was weak.
She had no choice but to go to the hospital the next day while she fluttered about.
She got a drip and a Chinese herbal medicine for the fever.
Anyway, she was bored alone in the room that day and tried to sleep. She had a hard time eating the yogurt that Kukuri bought for her and she took the medicine.
But the next morning, after all, the fever didn't go down.
(Oh, it's the third day. I want to go to school soon.), she thought.
She was impatient, but her body couldn't bear it.
"It doesn't work; it doesn't work..."
She coughed, looked at the ceiling and sighed.
Her body was hot and heavy. It was difficult to even turn around.
She couldn't go to school in that situation. She knew that going there would only cause annoyance and worry.
"Ah…"
She looked up at the ceiling and pursed her lips tightly.
She hated herself as a person.
Being alone in a quiet room reminded her of all the extra things.
This also happened last year, she was alone in the room.
Scared of herself as a "monster", she locked herself in her room. Other than that, she didn't know what to do.
She hugged herself trembling and stared at the wall. Also in the morning, even during the day and at night.
"......"
She wanted to go to school and laugh with Kukuri and Neko.
She also wanted to go to the "HOMRA" bar, and play with everyone in the red club.
She was alone, and she did not like being alone.
"Yata-kun..."
She coughed out the name on her chest. She wanted to see Yata.
She hurt the back of her nose.
Even if she said that, she still remembered what Yata said. She wanted to see him, but she knew he was upset.
Why? He was hurt, he was sad and angry, but she wanted to see him.
She didn't know why, but Yata doubted her.
Was she "betraying" Yata? Why? Why didn't she think that was never the case?
For Yata, how long have you been together since spring?
Did he join her with a sense of duty because of the injury he caused?
She gently clenched her back teeth and covered her eyes with both hands.
Even if she knew it was different, she thought so herself.
Because if not, do you think it is a "betrayal"? Although they are friends!
(Yata-kun, you said that even I was your friend, right?), she thought.
Or was it not good for her like that?
"......"
Thinking that, she shook her head.
She did not doubt him. She just wanted to say, why was she thinking only of Yata?
There were many other things to think about. For example, who locked her up in that place? What was the purpose of it?
Was she also an object of disgust and fear? Because she was as strange a Strain as she was in the previous school?
"Ah...!"
It was disconcerting and sad. Even if she knew she couldn't be helped, it hurt.
But why? After all, the thought immediately returned to Yata.
She thought of various things and she wanted to see him after all.
(Oh, I want to see Yata-kun and talk.), she thought she.
Even now, she wanted to see Yata above all else.
It was at that moment that she heard a clear pounding sound. That surprised her and she opened her eyes.
Looking at the alarm clock next to the bed, it was almost 12 o'clock.
Yes. In other words, it was definitely the time when both students and teachers were in school.
Eh? Who would it be at that time?
"……?"
The moment she wondered and looked around her, called her a second time.
Involuntarily it was impressive.
After all, the sound of knocking was not coming from the door.
When she struggled to get up, she moved to the window, dragging her heavy body.
Then when she moved the curtains and looked out onto the balcony,
"…?!"
Eh?
What she saw from the window was a black school uniform and a boy with auburn hair.
She opened her mouth in amazement, and hurriedly opened the window curtains.
"Yes, Yata-kun?"
It was Yata who was crouched on the balcony to avoid the gaze of the public.
Without a doubt, Yata.
"Uh..."
"Why are you here?! What happened to the school?"
"You have decided to skip it, right?"
Yata blushed and walked away.
"Well, if you think about it, it's true... Isn't that a lie?! Really, Yata-kun?"
"......"
It was too much, she did not immediately accept the reality that she had in front of her and she was confused.
She couldn't believe it, Yata went to the girls' dorm.
"I can enter?"
For her, that she had no choice but to be just a flower, the illusion came carefully.
She took a deep breath and said, "Okay, come in.", and opened the window wider.
"You were in bed."
"But…"
"You have a fever, right?"
Yata kicked off his shoes and walked in, saying that bluntly.
"Yes, I heard."
"Whose?"
"Kamamoto... and Yukizome."
"I see."
She wanted to see him, but she was still hurt and frustrated, so she couldn't speak well.
When she closed her mouth, Yata was also uncomfortable, and as he looked away from her, he coughed, "Would you like to go back to bed?"
"Mmm..."
She thought it was not a place to be stubborn, so she went to bed quietly, Yata sat cross-legged next to her and looked at her anxiously.
Her favorite, Yata's eyes.
Straightforward, hot, and unwavering, but kind.
"Are you okay?"
With that one word, her heart warmed enough that it was painful.
Oh, Yata. Anxious and overprotective. He always rushed first and protected her. The usual Yata.
Yata was next to her. She was so happy that she was about to burst into tears.
Oh, no. It wasn't just that. That was not the norm.
Finally, she realized. Being by his side was already an irreplaceable miracle, but for that it was painful.
Because he said that?
She bit her back teeth and looked at Yata.
"It is bad!"
Then Yata gritted his teeth, painfully distorted her face, and the next moment he sat on the ground. This was the second time for Yata.
Yata's strong voice echoed. She was concerned that they could hear it from outside.
It was the same as that time.
The first day of transfer. Just like Yata, who sat across from her.
He hit his forehead and screamed more.
"You can hit me until you feel like it!"
Eh?!
"Well, I won't do that."
She was surprised by the words, she hastily got up and shook her head.
"Oh, get up and you will fall!"
"Then stop doing that."
"Okay, but…!"
"They haven't asked you to do that, right?"
Perhaps Yata was surprised, he raised his head vigorously.
His eyes that pierced her harbored burning flames.
There was something she came up with with devotion.
Oh, how many times had those eyes saved her?
She liked her, she loved Yata's eyes.
"I want to hear the story, but they haven't asked me to sit down, much less hit me. Ok?"
"But..."
"If you stop, I'll lie down quietly."
"......"
When she said "Hey?", he thought it was not a place to be stubborn. Yata reluctantly crossed his legs. She was relieved and she went back to bed.
"It is bad…"
"You were in the hospital, right?"
"Ah…"
"Let me know..."
Yata painfully distorted his face and looked down.
After being silent for a while, he said, "I'm not going to make an excuse.", and slowly parted his lips.
"Saru was my best friend from high school."
"……!"
She gasped at the unexpected words.
She widened her eyes and looked at Yata, who was still face down.
Was Fushimi-kun his best friend?
There was no reason for him to lie. Yata couldn't lie.
But now they didn't see each other as friends.
"Are you a traitor too?"
Yata's piercing scream echoed through the hospital.
Finally, she was surprised at the unnaturalness of the words.
That was all. At that moment, Yata said "you too", "traitor", for the second time.
It was a word that would never come out unless someone had betrayed him in the past.
"Obviously, he was by my side. It was natural to be by my side. He was a partner and an ally. Truly, always, always together."
"Yata-kun..."
"Since then, I've been longing for Mikoto-san. Both Kusanagi-san and Totsuka-san. I wanted to go to his side and get closer. When I went to high school, I would definitely enter Homura. Both..."
Yata clenched his fist tightly.
"That's right, I entered high school, I entered Homura, but when the summer break was over, he left the club without permission and went straight to the blue club..."
"......"
"It was an unprecedented story in the red club and the blue club, and a big uproar. I didn't understand, and I rushed inside. But the monkey…! He couldn't even speak about the reason!"
He hit the ground with his fist. He shrugged.
"He just laughed to look down, nothing more..."
"......"
"I still don't understand the meaning. I don't understand it and that's why I'm angry..."
"Yata-kun..."
"Why did you betray me? I was far away. But is he your partner? The best is... Homura!"
He felt sad that he couldn't finish his thoughts with every word.
"It's important... I feel like everything was denied..."
"Yata-kun..."
"I heard that you should have gone to help with the class preparations, but you were with the Monkey in that place, and then you were taken away in an ambulance. I thought..."
Yata raised his head and looked at her painfully distorting his face.
"It's bad. You and the Monkey are different..."
He shook his head in a voice that squeezed the wound.
Yata hadn't figured it out at all, which was why he felt frustrated and dejected.
She felt that she could understand that frustrating feeling.
And she understood well the fear of suddenly losing something important.
Once suddenly she lost everything that was important to her.
"......"
(I see. That's Yata-kun's trauma.), she thought.
Perhaps he was very worried, that is why he lacked calm.
At the time, even Fushimi, who contacted her, didn't know what had happened. So they all were told only two things: "she was with Fushimi in an unpopular place" and "she got injured in an accident there."
Then it was impossible not to be suspicious. Especially if there was a trauma.
She could understand words with that feeling.
Finally, when she understood everything, she was relieved to breathe.
(I see. Oh, that was good. That was it.), she thought.
Yata did not doubt her or hate her.
"I said a terrible word and left the hospital room, but I immediately regretted it. Kusanagi-san scolded me. They all did. I thought I would apologize soon, but you had a fever and you were resting..."
Yata began to babble again.
"I thought I would wait until you were okay, but yesterday and today you were the same, so… in other words…"
"I made you worry..."
"That is not a good story."
Still, Yata went to the women's dormitory.
Not just to apologize. Perhaps he was very concerned about her body.
The gentle and eager Yata. Even in the case of a burn, he protected her in an overprotective way.
She smiled when she saw her left hand, which had been completely healed.
"Well, I think it's a story."
"Eh…?"
Yes. That was a good story.
Because at that moment, Yata remembered him at the hospital, right? The sadness when Fushimi left. Anger and suffering. The feeling of loss.
That's why he took it out on her.
So, huh? Why did she remind him of that? Isn't it because she thought she was like Fushimi?
It was natural to be by his side. It was very important. She didn't want to lose him.
That is why she was terrified and distraught.
She hears that.
Was that a convenient interpretation for her? Excessive shyness?
No. She could take a hundred steps and it would still be fine. Still, she was happy!
(I'm happy, Yata-kun. I'm glad I can feel relieved from the bottom of my heart.), she thought.
Because he didn't suspect her. She was not untrustworthy. He did not dislike her.
Yata was still the kind and dear Yata.
"Ah…"
(That's what makes me happy!), she thought.
When she took her hands off the futon, she picked up Yata's clothes.
"Uh..."
"Forgive me. I'm not angry. It was sad and it hurt, but most of all, I didn't understand the meaning. I'm glad you spoke..."
"I…"
"So, huh? Yata-kun... If I recover, will we play again...?"
Yata raised his face.
"Eh…?"
"Ah, play?"
"Of course. But that's..."
Yata got confused and shook his head.
She knew what he meant, because it was about Yata.
That was not compensation. Did he mean that?
But Yata, once again, they haven't asked him to pay, right?
Nothing has been done.
"Yata-kun. I will not leave, I will not betray you, because I no longer want to lose someone important to me. Remember that. I also lost everything once."
"That is to say…"
"Is it okay to be by my side? I want to be by your side... will you let me stay?"
"Ah…"
Yata's face was distorted as if he was crying.
Is it because he didn't want her to see him that way? Yata quickly grabbed the hat and lowered it to hide his eyes from her.
"Obviously...!"
She pretended not to know that the little voice was shaking.
How long had it been? For a long time, they were silent.
She fell silent and they remained together, almost motionless.
Oddly, the silence didn't bother her. However, the time passed peacefully.
She thought that the moment when nothing happened was very important.
She reached for Yata's clothes again, drowsy from the warm light.
"About Fushimi-kun…"
When she put on her clothes, Yata rolled his shoulders.
The line of sight that followed seemed terribly awkward. With confidence, just with that, she could see how much that case affected Yata's heart.
She hoped it would be resolved one day, anyway.
She thought that the important thing was not there. It was not necessary for him to understand. He didn't have to go back to normal. She thought it would be fine. Well, Yata's ideal might be to go back to the old relationship.
However, he was still trapped alone not knowing anything. She wishes he could get out of that situation. She thought that only that was different. That alone would be enough to save Yata.
"Do not give up."
"......!"
Speak clearly. She couldn't say anything more and fell silent.
As if Yata always did that, so did she.
"Don't give up, it's not good."
(Don't stop understanding each other. Even if it's painful, never give up.), she thought.
Kamamoto, Suoh, Kusanagi, Totsuka, and they were all next to him.
The moment it surrenders, it will break. It will never be like before.
She gave up and escaped earlier.
"Please don't make my mistake, Yata-kun."
"Ah!"
At her words, Yata distorted his face and moved his mouth as if he was about to start crying.
But no words came out.
The way he was, he bit down on his back teeth and lowered his head again.
"Stop saying that."
A terribly small voice. When she twisted her neck, Yata stared at her.
Her eyes were warm without fluctuation, and her heart made a loud noise.
"I'll tell you appropriately..."
"Yata-kun?"
"Get well soon."
Yata's soft words, which reddened her face, struck her gently.
"Did you eat at noon?"
After that, she was silent for a while and thought about each one of them, but suddenly Yata looked at the clock on the wall and said that.
"Oh, by the way... I haven't eaten..."
"Are you hungry? Should I do something?"
"I want to eat fried rice."
"Eh?"
When he remembered that he did it earlier, Yata opened his eyes.
"It's good for when you feel bad."
"The one you made earlier was delicious."
"I'll do it if you can eat it... But what about the ingredients?"
"Oh, it might not be possible."
She meant, what was in the fridge? For the past two days, she had only eaten yogurt and jelly, which Kukuri brought for her.
When she said that, Yata moved to the front of the refrigerator and looked at it.
"Seriously, there is almost nothing. Yogurt, jam and fruit. And eggs and cold rice?"
Having said that, when he took off his school uniform, Yata looked at her and gave his usual awkward smile.
"Turn it into egg porridge. I'll go back to making fried rice when you're okay."
His words made it even more painful. The hot feelings seemed to push her chest up.
The hot egg porridge made by Yata was delicious.
She had no appetite until a little while ago, but it seemed to be written on her stomach.
She was happy, and her smile naturally overflowed.
"Thank you, I am happy."
"I will do it anytime."
When she thanked him while she smiled, Yata blushed.
"Get well soon."
"Yes, of course."
Yata gave her an awkward smile.
It was like a miracle.
She realized that happiness was such a thing.
She smiled back and chewed on the wonderful "every day."
The next day, she was completely relieved and she went to school for the first time in a long time.
"Saya-chan! You finally came!"
Kukuri-chan! Sorry for worrying you! Thanks for everything!"
She jumped onto Kukuri's chest with both hands spread.
"Konohana-san, are you okay?"
"Isn't it better to rest still?"
"Gohan. Are you okay?"
"Shiro-kun, Yatogami-kun, Neko-chan! I'm fine! Sorry for worrying you!"
When she smiled, everyone breathed like they were relieved.
"I heard this year's cold is bad."
"But I feel like I hear that every year, with a fever."
In pollen season, you hear every year how many times more pollen flies than last year, right?
"But this is credible, because my man from the festival is resting."
(Huh? Festival man?), she thought.
They all point to the window at the same time.
Kamamoto was sitting there alone. Eh? That person?!
When she told everyone, "I'm sorry.", she ran over to Kamamoto.
"Good morning, Kamamoto-kun!"
"Oh, yeah. Is your body okay?"
"Yes. Sorry to worry you. What about Yata-kun?"
"He has a fever and is resting. He caught a cold."
Well, that was... too many thoughts went through her head and she suddenly screamed.
"Oh, that's right. I got infected and infected him."
She looked up and blocked for a moment, then looked at Kamamoto, who seemed bored alone, and tilted her head.
"I want to go see him after school, can you help me sneak into the men's dorm?"
"What? Good, but... Yata-san, he will jump."
"Eh? He will jump and he will be happy?"
"Does not mean that."
She wondered if she was being impatient and going too fast. She wondered if he would turn bright red and flutter.
She knew the way of him to act.
She smiled and clenched her fist.
"No problem, I like that side of Yata-kun!"
Also, she was very happy with yesterday's visit, and she was relieved to understand the situation for which he apologized, but because of that she felt that she wanted to give back because they hurt him in vain.
"I will gladly take you, Konohana-san."
"Thanks!"
So, at night, with the help of Kamamoto, she unknowingly visited Yata's room.
Yata, who screamed, closed the door saying, "Wait two minutes, wait a minute!", but she couldn't wait quietly in the hallway of the men's dorm, they might discover her in the first place.
If he had a fever and was trying to get rid of her, it was outrageous. It wasn't a joke, so she pushes the door aside...
Then, the "superhuman strength" activated well, and when she opened the door, she pushed Yata, who stood with a bright red face, into the room and it was worth taking care of him.
The school festival was only two weeks away.
In order to enjoy the preparation together, they had to be cured as soon as possible.
++++++++++
"What? Christmas party?"
"Yes. I wonder if the red club will do anything for Christmas."
Yata and Kamamoto looked at each other when she said that while closing their PDA.
The school festival was the most enjoyable, including the preparation period. It was too much fun.
Preparing for a class show and preparing a position at the red club. She was very busy at the same time, she wasn't saying she wasn't in trouble, but even now, she remembered having fun. Not only her, everyone smiled and had fun.
Yes, she smiled herself, although the case of being trapped in the warehouse was not solved.
She was afraid to think that malicious intent was hidden somewhere. She couldn't help but be afraid, but Yata was there.
She was sometimes too busy to find the criminal, but thank you all, she thought it was not so much.
When it came to festivals, the red part was still going strong. The post was a great success. On the first day, the prepared quantity ran out early. She significantly increased the number from the next day, but they were all sold out.
After the school festival, it was grandly opened at the "HOMRA" bar.
It was fun.
However, after having fun, the "student book" always arrives.
The scope of the final test had been announced and the preparation period began.
As usual, if they got a red point, they would be banned, so this time too, the red club will work as one to pass the test. By the way, they were heading to the library.
"Let's go quickly, Konohana-san."
"Eh? Yes? I heard from Kukuri-chan that the Christmas party is organized by the Silver Club, right?"
"Oh, that's right. Is that what they're doing at the Himmelreich?"
"Yes. That's right. Would you like to go with me? You were surprised. The Silver club has an airship. Every year, we have a Christmas party in that airship."
"Oh. At the moment, the organizer is supposed to be the Silver club that owns Himmelreich, but the student council and the Blue club are really in charge. The participants are the Silver club and the Blue club, the student council, students. generals invited by its members and general students who won the lottery. Some teachers. It's a lot of people and it seems to be great every year. The food is amazing and luxurious."
Perhaps Kamamoto's interest was at the end, because he was so strong.
"Last year we had a Christmas party."
"Oh, after all? That's true. You said you had a Halloween party too."
"I see. Then let's reject it.", she thought. It was a bit disappointing, but she would like to participate in the Red club area.
When she said that, Kamamoto frowned, "Okay?"
"…? It's okay?"
"You can't do it with the intention of participating, I think you'd be an ant going there, right?"
"Eh? Aren't you exaggerating? I haven't decided yet or something. Okay, but I'd like to participate with the Red club."
"That would be nice. I see. It's Christmas. We'll be there. So, I should avoid the red dot anyway. I can't be a hub."
"That's right. Good luck. Christmas without you would be boring."
"That's right. Let's do our best, Yata-san."
Kamamoto looked at Yata.
But Yata didn't answer that... that is, didn't he ask? While he was thinking of something, he coughed, "Yes. Christmas. Let's do that at Christmas."
She and Kamamoto looked at each other with raised eyebrows.
"Yata-kun?"
"Yata-san?"
"What?! What is it?"
What was that line?
"I'm thinking about it. What's wrong with you?"
"Hmmm, nothing!"
Yata shook his head with the feeling that it was all "yes".
When that happened, she was irritated.
When she looks at Yata, she smiled.
"Well then. What are we going to do at Christmas?"
"What?! I don't understand! I don't know anything!"
"Yes. I agree. So, tell us what you were thinking now."
"Nothing!"
"Yes. I understand that. That's why I'm translating ..."
"Konohana-san, please forgive me in that area..."
Kamamoto sighed and put his hand on her shoulder.
And in that moment…
"Check it out..."
A secret voice crept into her ears.
She suddenly stopped and looked around her as if that voice invited her.
Down the hall. The boys who were listening shook their shoulders and ran off the moment their gazes met.
"……?"
When he turned his neck, Kamamoto coughed, "Now...".
"Do you know them?"
"A little. It's bad. I remembered what I was doing."
"Eh?"
Kamamoto took out the PDA.
"Yata-san. I'll be back first."
"Eh?"
"Konohana-san. See you later."
"Huh? Oh, yeah. See you later."
When she waved her hand, Kamamoto also turned around and ran back the way he came from.
She turned her eyebrows and looked back at Yata.
"What happened?"
"Let's go."
Yata turned around.
"Mainly, I'll find it."
Some days after. She checks it out when she to see Totsuka at the Purchasing Department at noon. So after all, it looked like there would be a Christmas party at the Red club this year too.
"There is also Konohana-san. There is no reason not to."
"Uh, I'm happy! Great!"
When she laughed and clapped her hands, Totsuka patted her head and said "Okay."
"At that time, I think I can give you good news. I look forward to it."
(Good news? What will it be? And did he say it now?), she thought, but interpreted it as a small Christmas present.
With excitement in her chest, she gave Totsuka a big smile again.
"Yes! I'm looking forward to it!"
++++++++++
Bar "HOMRA".
The interior, which was always elegant and calm, was decorated in Christmas colors and was very beautiful.
The Christmas lily, which was large enough to look up, was pure white. The hanging ornaments were all white. However, only the large tied ribbon was crimson. It was terribly vivid to the eyes.
The lively Christmas song was playing in the store.
Kusanagi made a lot of English-style Christmas cookies, and they all got together.
This was her first time, but unlike Japanese cookies, English cookies had decoration on both sides. And the one with the middle cylinder was the winner. He had a paper crown, various items, and a sheet of paper with Christmas cards and jokes.
They played with it while saying something, enjoying the Christmas food from Kusanagi's hands, they played, talked, laughed and talked more.
Of course, no one was out of place with a red dot.
The Red club always tries its best to play. She thought they all worked hard to play.
She felt that he was appreciating the time he could spend with her friends and she liked seeing them all like this. She was glad to be a part of it.
What was a bit concerning is that Yata was a bit quiet. He was always at the center of the confusion.
He seemed like he was not eating well.
But when she said that to Kamamoto, he said, "Okay. Don't worry. No, pretend you don't know. He's nervous."
"Saya-chan, are you eating?"
"Yes! I ate a lot! The meatloaf was too tasty! Kusanagi-san's food is too tasty. I can't doubt it. Oh, I'm getting fat..."
"Yes. We're going to get a little fat."
"What the heck! I absolutely hate it!"
"Ah! Do you want to go home for the New Year’s holidays? Are you coming to eat osechi and ozoni? The store itself is closed, but hey, these guys are definitely coming."
"Of course. I will come."
"It doesn't matter what you cry. Do it right."
Kusanagi laughed and hit her with a pop.
"What? Are you making Konohana-san cry, Kusanagi-san?"
Totsuka smiled and sat down next to her.
"That is correct. It is a tremendous temptation."
"Eh? Don't be bad. Kusanagi-san."
"As a man, it is natural to persuade a pretty girl. There is no reason to complain."
Kusanagi laughed like a bad boy and left.
After saying goodbye with a smile, Totsuka squeezed his face.
"You know what? Konohana-san. About that matter…"
"That matter?"
"You were harassed before the school festival. You were trapped in the warehouse, right? We found the criminal."
"Eh?!"
She gasped at the unexpected words that she didn't expect.
She yelled a bit and looked at Totsuka seriously.
"Eh? The criminal?"
"Yes. Kamamoto noticed and contacted me. So, with the help of Fushimi, the email they sent you was rescued from the broken PDA at a later date. We also found out that it was sent from a PC."
"……!"
"I questioned the boy and confirmed everyone involved in the mischief."
"Ah…"
"Who was he?"
But before he answered that question, Totsuka put his index finger to his lips and sealed them. When he opened his eyes, Totsuka smiled and shook his head.
"I'll come back to that later. At the moment, you got a lot of attention from the Red club."
"......"
"For that? It's a reason."
Totsuka smiled like he was in a little trouble.
"Because it's a red dot in the red part."
"Eh?!"
The unexpected words surprised her.
The only red dot of the Red club, then?
"You said you wanted to join the club, but you couldn't. You didn't choose. You were very sad, you wanted to join a club, you wanted to get closer to the members, but that didn't come true. You didn't. We didn't have a female member, so he was convinced you couldn't get in because you were a woman until spring. But you got in. The first female member of all time. Surrounded by longing and sheltered people. He was jealous, frustrated, so, he talks to his friends, and it seems like they were getting excited."
"......"
"He didn't mean to hurt you. He wanted to annoy you a bit. That's all. He was shocked when an ambulance came. He said he was sorry. But he was jealous."
"Actually…"
"Kamamoto remembered. Last year, the boy wanted to join the Red club in addition to himself. So the other day when I saw the boy's eyes on Konohana-san, I thought maybe that was it."
"So you were correct?"
"Yes. I also saw his face and remembered. It is true that he wanted to join the club last year, but he couldn't take King's hand."
"……!"
In the spring, Totsuka said it was a rite of passage.
She remembered the hand he showed her, shining Homura's flame.
"Is that all? He thought it was unreasonable. He seemed to interpret that he was rejected because he was pointed out that he could not do it. So I thought, 'he was not chosen'. But no, we do not do that. Kamamoto also said to the boy: 'But Konohana-san didn't even doubt it'."
Totsuka laughed.
"Yes. That was the decisive thing that differentiated Konohana-san from him. It didn't matter if Konohana-san was a Strain or something. Konohana-san trusted us. That made the difference."
"Senpai..."
"You will finally ask a question."
After Totsuka looked at her, he softened his eyes from her.
"Do you want to know about that child? If you want to know, I will tell you the class and the name. Will he also be punished? If Konohana-san wants, he will be punished."
"What punishment?"
When she took a breath at the harsh words, Totsuka simply said, "It's natural."
"He hurt you."
"But!"
"At least I think Konohana-san and Fushimi have the right to punish him."
"......"
But that was...
Reflectively, she shook her head.
No, it wasn't right. She understood that what Totsuka said was also correct, but...
"It bothers you?"
"Yes!"
Totsuka's words were very important.
"I don't like it. It's not about having rights or anything like that."
"You don't want to punish him? Did you have that goal?"
"Yes, but..."
She really understood that person's feeling of envy.
Totsuka smiled at the words.
"I think I can do anything if you don't want to lose this place. No. I can do it."
That was why this was an irreplaceable place for her.
"This place is the 'best' to spend time with my friends."
Thus, she could understand the feelings that he painfully yearned for.
With a pong, one hand rested on her head.
Looking back, Kusanagi's mischievous smile was there.
Everyone laughed as she looked around her.
Suoh was also looking at her sideways.
And the moment her eyes met, Yata showed an awkward smile.
His dedicated, straight line of sight was unbreakable.
Her chest warmed.
That was all. She had a "miracle". She couldn't help but be a little jealous. Rather it could be natural. Because actually, this place is the "best" to spend time with friends.
She smiled a little and looked back at Totsuka.
"I don't have to know the class or the name. I don't want any punishment. If he won't do it anymore, that's fine. That's enough."
"Yes, then I will tell him."
Totsuka laughed softly.
She, too, smiled back at him with a warm feeling.
Outside the window, pure white snow flew in the indigo sky.
"It's okay?"
"It's okay!"
Yata replied with a loud voice that made the volume adjustment stupid.
She instinctively looked at the choked attitude he had when he was on the red side.
A night road with white snow.
As expected, Christmas had arrived. The illuminations were gorgeous and there was still no sign of sleeping in the city.
The way home from the party. Two people were walking down the path to the bedroom.
"Eh? Kamamoto-kun? Oh, Kamamoto-kun stayed at the bar because he helped clean it up."
"He told you to help him too, right? There, he was forced to chase you, saying, "It's okay because it's okay"."
After leaving the store, Yata kept quiet and looked more serious than during the party, and when she was worried about it she asked, "Are you okay?"
Well, if he could make such a strong voice, it would be really fine.
(But what happened? He was really weird today, right? Is there something that worries him? Oh, but Kamamoto-kun said he was nervous, right? Something... Oh! Maybe's the new headmaster of the red club? Will Totsuka announce it at the beginning of the year? Is that it?), thinking about that, she was walking at the time.
Yata stopped suddenly.
When he looked back, wondering, Yata looked at her for a moment and then fell silent, then opened his mouth as if he had decided something.
"I'll only say it once!"
"Eh? Oh, yeah."
She wondered what it was.
As she bowed his head, she was still searching and obediently waiting for Yata's words. This was also the "only time" that he did not come easily.
He could make his face turn bright red and scratch his head, or he could swim his eyes blazing, or suddenly pass out in agony. Just do that or nothing.
(Oh, Yata-kun? Is it snowing? It's really cold though.), she thought.
But somehow she couldn't say "make it faster" so she silently waited for the words.
How long should she wait? When it was colder and harder to stand silently, Yata finally looked directly at her. It was like a challenge.
His eyes with hot flames caught her.
"I like you...!"
"Ah...!"
A shaky and hazy voice seemed to have been desperately squeezed out.
But it pierced her heart more vividly than any word she had ever heard.
She involuntarily held her mouth with her hand.
She got those words from Yata, who was extremely shy... she got it... There was no question.
It was inspiring and so hot her chest ached. Of course, her face was almost on fire. She could no longer feel the cold. That margin had vanished somewhere.
"Ah...!"
The tears were overflowing.
And it was Yata who was scared. When he yelled, "Wow!", her eyes shed tears.
"Wow, too bad! I made you cry..."
"It's different. Not bad. I'm sorry..."
She had no more words.
She knew he was misunderstood, but she couldn't hold back the tears and covered her face with both hands.
"Ah!"
She was very happy.
It was a miracle to her, she was a "monster" a year ago.
The more painful it was, the hotter her chest became. The joy that filled her took her breath away. She was going to drown. She was so happy that it made her want to scream.
It's not that he was anxious, overprotective, and unreliable, but that he was compassionate, masculine, direct, big, and kind.
He always ran to her first, or he would walk away in shame.
Yata, who ran in front of everyone, was the coolest and most trusted. But he couldn't speak well to girls, and he would soon turn bright red and get embarrassed.
With Yata everything was fun, interesting, warm and very comfortable.
"Ah!"
His carefree smile was nice, but she also loved to see him laugh in a complicated and awkward way.
Since the spring, Yata was in everyone's memory of her.
(Oh, that's right. I can understand a little about the feeling of wanting to harass. If Yata-kun was stolen from me, I might even harass him. Because I don't want to leave him, or this place where everyone is.), she thought.
"Ah…"
"Well don't cry. Don't cry. I wonder..."
Yata's voice that seemed to be in trouble made her laugh.
"What? Hey..."
"Ah... it's true..."
He didn't even know why she was crying. She also liked that side of Yata.
She wiped away her tears, laughed and said it.
Just a few words, but they were important words.
"I like you too!"
"......!"
"I understand that I am so happy and crying..."
"Ah…"
At that moment, he hugged her so tightly that she couldn't breathe.
"Ah! I'm so happy, I will die of happiness...!"
"That's my line, Yata-kun."
She was too happy, she was scared, because she had more than a "miracle".
Was it really good? She could be happy.
She thought so, but she could no longer put that happiness aside.
She couldn't even imagine a life without Yata.
She silently felt Yata's body temperature, with great happiness.
However, for a time, he took such a bold action. Yata seemed to have returned to himself immediately, and the next moment, he screamed again and released her.
He apologized for a while saying "Wow, too bad!", but she didn't want him to apologize for that.
It was brief, which is why she found it disappointing.
Although she frowned, Yata's carefree and innocent smile couldn't be followed by a grumpy face, she relaxed and laughed.
"Hurrah!"
Yata held his fist with a bright smile before her.
"It was the best Christmas present!"
Yata's words suddenly exploded.
(But that's my line. A gift that's more than a "miracle", thank you!), she thought.
"First visit of the year to a shrine. Come on."
"Yes."
"Let's go to HOMRA to eat New Year's dishes."
"Yes."
"There are no special events in January, but let's play a lot with everyone."
"Yes."
Yata stepped forward holding her hand. The answer was short, she was nervous.
But that was enough to warm her heart.
She laughed and looked up at the indigo sky with white snow.
"If it stacks up, I want to have a snowball fight."
"Okay."
"Ok, let's go."
He takes out the PDA and check the time.
"I guess they got mad."
"Ah…"
Yata sighed.
The time for the bedroom curfew was past, Yata sighed, but he didn't seem to be in a hurry.
She was very happy about it. Because it was Christmas, and she still wanted to be with him.
When she laughed, she felt terribly happy and held Yata's hand.

I confessed to my crush (Omi x Reader)
--
‘Today is the day. Focus!’ you give yourself a pep talk, lightly smacking your cheeks.
Christmas break was just around the corner, and you just had to confess your feelings before then.
The object of your affections, Omi Fushimi, was generally a well-liked guy in campus. His manners were impeccable – he was a true gentleman. Despite being multi-talented, he was extremely humble. Paired with his passion and hardworking demeanor, he was popular among students and professors alike. And to top it all off, he was ruggedly handsome.
At first you hadn’t given him too much thought. You’d never met him personally, after all, since you had different majors and you didn’t run in the same social circles. Sure, you’ve heard of him, but you didn’t really know him.
That changed this semester, however, when you somehow ended up in the same elective as him. Public speaking wasn’t something you were particularly interested in, but you figured it would be useful. When you first walked into your classroom you finally had the pleasure of getting to know Omi, your friendship cemented shortly after being paired for a project. Countless all-nighters and sharing stress over assignments would do that to a couple of acquaintances. Despite how close you got, you still never seemed to hang out for purposes outside of schoolwork. College life was just like that, you supposed. And now with the semester finishing up and everyone engrossed with their plans for the break, who knows what would become of your seemingly conditional relationship with Omi?
So you just had to do it now before you lost your chance.
One of Omi’s talents was cooking and baking – he often shared treats with you and your classmates, so you had the idea of sharing something of your own with him. You weren’t planning anything too grandiose. Admittedly, you weren’t the best at making food, but you figured that if there was one way to convey your affection for Omi, some homemade food would be the way to go. For all the times that he’s shared his food with others, not once have you seen someone give him food in return.
With that as your motivation, you stayed up all night making the perfect box of chocolates to complement your confession. You painstakingly infused different flavors into the chocolates and made various fillings to come up with a decent variety of sweets. Once completely cooled, you carefully arranged them in a box, taking care to not deform the chocolates as you packed them. You put the top on, making sure it’s snug, then continue on to the task of selecting a gift wrap.
‘What’s Omi’s favorite color, anyway?’ you ponder.
After sifting through your available supply, your hand hovers over two choices – a rose gold wrapping and a more Christmas-themed green and red wrapping.
‘Is it too obvious if I choose the rose gold…?’
As you are about to grab it, your mind suddenly wanders again as you consider the other wrapping paper.
‘But if the confession goes wrong I could always say that it’s a Christmas gift.’
A mental battle ensues as you contemplate the pros and cons of using a romantic pink for your wrapping paper versus a Christmas-themed one.
Several minutes later you’ve produced a box of chocolates wrapped in rose gold wrapping paper, tied intricately with a red bow. Before you can start to second guess yourself you place it in your school bag before turning on your phone’s screen to check the time. With bleary eyes, you squint at the numbers, attempting to do some quick mental math.
‘Alright, so after I clean this up and get ready for bed I’ll have… 2 hours of sleep before I need to wake up for classes?’
You soak in a moment of silence, the dread of sleep deprivation creeping in on you before you heave a sigh and get started on cleaning up.
Flash forward to your current task of finding Omi. In hindsight, maybe you shouldn’t have left this to the last day before Christmas break – you didn’t even have electives today.
Does Omi even have classes today?
You weren’t familiar with his schedule, and it wasn’t like you could go around asking people if they’ve seen him. That was bound to start rumors.
As if Santa himself answered your prayers, you can faintly hear Omi’s voice from across the courtyard. Unfortunately, he wasn’t alone – he was with two underclassmen you frequently see him with in passing. They appear to be teasing him about something.
‘To hell with it.’ You decide as you stride towards them.
Omi notices your approach and raises a hand in greeting while his friends quiet down. Throwing your pride to the sky, without any greeting or preamble, you take the box of chocolates out from your bag and raise it to the tall guy in offering.
“I really like you, Omi, and I’d love to go out on a date with you this Christmas!”
Omi’s face turns blank as if he can’t register your words. To make things worse, his friends burst into chuckles. You can feel a blush burning on your cheeks and tears well up in your eyes in embarrassment. The tears in your eyes threaten to fall when Omi appears to get over himself but instead lightly chuckles along with them.
“Look, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to be an asshole about it.” You say viciously, threatening effect probably lost by the way your voice cracks. “I thought you were a nice guy.”
Omi’s eyes immediately widen and he shakes his head vigorously. His friends start sputtering apologies, and Omi talks over them.
“Whoa whoa, no, you’re misunderstanding me.” He desperately calls out as you’re about to turn and leave. He quickly digs through his backpack and takes out a box similar to yours, your name written on it in Omi’s familiar penmanship.
You warily take it from him then open it up.
‘Chocolates?!’
You can’t help but gape at the wide array of chocolate sweets that fill the box. They look way better than your shoddy attempts.
“Looks like we had the same idea.” Omi says with a big grin, snapping you out of your thoughts. “I was going to ask you out on a Christmas date, but looks like you beat me to it.”
You carefully put the box in your bag and let it rest on the ground then promptly tackle Omi in a surge of emotion. He readily scoops you up into a bear hug and spins you around. When he sets you down, you remain in his embrace.
“So… is that a yes?”
He grins even wider in response and squeezes you tightly.
“Definitely.”

I am sharing here a mikorei scenario I wrote on twitter last night. Hope you like it! I will just copy-paste the thread without making any correction, apologies if the text will look “odd” for a tumblr post.
AU in which Mikoto survives S1 and he is still the Red King during ROK. He partecipates to the Mihashira defense plan, and he is in the Slate chamber when Munakata gets shot by Iwafune (Also imagine Iwafune didn't want to arrive to the point to almost killing another King,
it was more like an "accident", and he interprets it as another way of the Slate to play them all, because no matter what, Kings will be always be killed by other Kings or by their own powers). Mikoto sees that scene and is the one who has to give some first-aid to prevent >
Munakata from, you know, dying. There isn't much he can do anyway, besides pressing his hands on Munakata's wound in the attempt to stop the blood loss. And the blood is warm on his hands and doesn't stop, and a cold shiver run through his body when he feels a Sword >
cracking down, and he doesn't need to look up to know it's not his. Fortunately, the Sword doesn't fall, and it doesn't take much for Munakata to get some actual emergency medical care and to be brought to the hospital. it's a devasting night for everyone, >
especially S4, waiting to know the conditions of their King. It's almost dawn when they get to know Munakata is out of danger (and this is the moment in which Fushimi makes the "betrayal scene", right in the middle of the hospital hall). >
Homra goes back to the bar, and Kusanagi suggests to take a rest, that it was a long night. Mikoto is more than happy to follow that advice, he just wants to close his eyes and forget about everything, especially about that red power that keeps twirling inside him. >
But as he closes his eyes fragments of that night comes back to his mind: the shot, the blood, the endless wait, his powerlessness before an event he couldn't stop, and then that maniacal laugh, and the thud of a body falling on the ground.
There are Swords that go into pieces and Swords that fall. Old and recent memories mix with events never happened, with dreams and nightmares and worries.
>
It's a loop of bad dreams-waking up- feeling shitty-trying to get some rest; until he abruptly wakes up in the middle of the night. It's 2am. He is tired but wide awake at the same time. He gives up, and decided to take a walk. >
"I can't sleep" he says, while he walks into Munakata's hospital room through the window. Munakata, who wasn't sleeping either, notes that it is not visiting hours, Suoh. Mikoto shrugs and flops onto the chair next Munakata's bed, grabbing the other's tablet from his hands. >
"It's not work hours either" he replies, throwing the device away. Munakata sighs, maybe with a hint of fondness, or maybe he is just tired, murmuring "what should I do with you?" Mikoto replies that he doesn't want to hear that from someone who's in a hospital bed. >
They could keep going on, but there are tiredness and distress in both of them, and no one can hide it much. An awkward, but somehow soothing, silence falls onto them. >
It's Mikoto the first who breaks the silence. Out of the blue, in the middle of the darkness of that room, he murmurs that when he got that call from Kusanagi, his world shattered into thousands of pieces. Totsuka was gone. And that was the end. >
And sometimes, during particular bad nights made of nightmares, he wakes up and thinks if he really has the right to be there, when Totsuka is not here anymore and his world isn't the same anymore. >
Munakata doesn't know how to reply, or, to be correct, he has plenty of replies, but nothing that he feels to say. Eventually, he snorts, saying since when Mikoto worries about rights and such, wasn't he the one who wanted to choose for himself?
There is a pause, and then Mikoto asks what Munakata will do about his "world". Munakata says he doesn't have any intention to make it fall, that he will keep running until his last breath. Mikoto sighs, leaning back into the chair, murmuring that's unlike you. >
Munakata smiles bitterly, noting how only a year earlier, their roles were reversed. Nevertheless he doesn't regret anything of what he did. >
That doesn't reassure Mikoto in any way. If anything, it makes him feel even more exhausted, of the Slate, of other Kings, of everything. Again, silence between them. There isn't much to talk about they don't know already. As Kings, they understand each other's reasons. >
Mikoto has almost fallen asleep on the chair when Munakata speaks again, asking him why he came there. Mikoto doesn't even open his eyes; he makes just a "mmh" and after a pause long enough to make Munakata thing he has fallen asleep, he says >
he just came to see a friend (when he truly means he just had to see with his eyes that he was still alive). Munakata snorts, noting how Mikoto actually listens to his words, and Mikoto is all "ofc, otherwise I couldn't throw them back in your face"
Eventually Mikoto falls asleep (to then regret it the next morning), leaving Munakata with this bittersweet feeling, and with no other choice but to try to rest, since Mikoto made his tablet disappear. At least, he thinks, the night doesn't seem so lonely anymore.

Gift Cards (Minagi Tsuzuru x Reader)
Ship: Minagi Tsuzuru/Reader
Rating: sfw (one swear word)
WC: 2,901 words
A/N: The second reader insert I’ve written and I’m still not good at it lol. But I’m having a fun time! I’m also the absolute worst at giving stories titles and ending stories. Apologies in advance!
You visited the school library very often. Everyone was too preoccupied with whatever they were doing (whether it was studying or procrastinating), so it was a good place to study and work on assignments. You recognized some faces that also visited frequently; some of them were in your classes and others just came so often that you knew their faces.
However, there was one specific person that always caught your eye. You didn’t have any classes with him, but he came to the library so often that his face became recognizable. Seeing the way he was so focused on his work was admirable. It was kind of cute to see his whole face light up when something started clicking in his head. And seeing him occasionally doze off a little while working was funny, too.
Long story short, he was extremely charming. He looked like the kind of person who really looks out for others. You wouldn’t be surprised if there were other people with crushes on him.
At some point, you started sitting in the same area as this university student. It’d be weird if you sat too close to him, so you’d always sit at a different table on the opposite side of him. That way, you could still steal glances of him diagonally and from far away. Was it a bit creepy? Yes. Did you still do it? Also yes.
You eventually found out that his name was “Tsuzuru” when two other men (both of them were extremely well built and just a bit intimidating) came across him in the library one day. You overheard them talking about Tsuzuru’s next script.
His next script? So he’s a playwright… Well, if he’s in this area, then does he write for a theatre troupe on Veludo Way?
After Tsuzuru packed up and left with his two friends, you discreetly looked up “Tsuzuru Veludo Way” on your phone. Surprisingly, you were able to find his name on the Mankai Company website, where you found out that Minagi Tsuzuru was both the personal playwright of the troupe and a member of their Spring Troupe as well.
You gently slammed your head on the table, trying to not make too loud of a noise. This was definitely starting to approach stalker territory.
Months of watching Tsuzuru from afar passed. You kept sitting in the same area as him in the library when you had the chance. You watched a few of Mankai Company’s plays, especially if Tsuzuru was one of the actors in the play. However, you still couldn’t work up the courage to just go up to him and initiate a conversation with your crush.
He was so immersed in his work in the library that it was hard to approach him. When you’d leave the Mankai Theater, you’d chicken out and run out of the theater before the actors come out to thank the guests for coming. You were fairly sure that he still hasn’t noticed your creepy behavior. As relieving as it sounds, it doesn’t erase the fact that it’s creepy. You were much too shy and nervous for your own good, but you knew that you had to take the initiative one day.
One early morning, on your way to your favorite area in the library, you found Tsuzuru completely asleep at his work area. You smile to yourself at the sight as you set your things down at a different table. This area wasn’t crowded at all. In fact, it was just the two of you so far. It must’ve been a perfect time for him to sneak a nap in.
It must be hard balancing writing scripts and school work… Plus, he probably has rehearsals with his troupe. Yikes, Minagi-san needs a coffee… coffee?
You reached into your backpack and grabbed your wallet. Inside your wallet was a gift card to a nearby coffee shop that you received from your aunt not too long ago. You haven’t used it at all and you figured that Tsuzuru needed this much more than you.
You grabbed a cute dandelion themed sticky note and pen from your backpack, wrote a message as neat as you possibly could, and stuck it onto the gift card. You get up from your seat again and nervously make your way towards Tsuzuru. You were mentally begging him to not wake up as you approached his little station and slowly slided the gift card on top of his laptop’s keyboard.
You sighed in relief, knowing that your mission was successful, and snuck another look at Tsuzuru’s sleeping face. He looked so peaceful and cozy with his head nested in his folded arms. You smiled again at the sight, sincerely hoping that he’ll enjoy the free coffees he could get from the gift card. Happy with the good deed you did, you turn back around to return to your seat.
And then you realized the flaw in your plan. There was no one but you and Tsuzuru in that area. If you stayed around and Tsuzuru woke up, then he would’ve figured out that it was you who left him the gift card. You quickly stuffed everything into your bag and dashed to a different part of the library.
--
“Tsuzuru? Hey, Tsuzuru?”
He felt someone shake his shoulder a bit and groggily blinked his eyes. He yawned a bit and looked over his shoulder to see who woke him up. “Huh? Oh, hey, Fushimi-san. Guess I must’ve dozed off.”
“You did another all-nighter to finish your paper last night, right? Are you alright?” Omi clearly looked concerned for his health.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I was reading some lecture notes and ...Huh?” When Tsuzuru went to gesture to his laptop screen, he noticed a gift card on his keyboard. The card had a pastel green sticky note with dandelion seeds blowing away from the flower at the bottom. “Where did this come from? Did you put this here, Fushimi-san?”
Omi shook his head. “Nope. I didn’t do that, but there’s a note on it. What does it say?”
“Let’s see… ‘You seemed a bit exhausted when I passed by and I think you need the caffeine more than I do! I hope this can keep you running through the day, but don’t forget to get a good night’s sleep!’” Tsuzuru flipped the card over and saw that it was a card for a coffee shop close to campus. “There’s no name on here, but wow, this is really nice of this person.”
Tsuzuru looked around the study area, but it was just him and Omi there. They must’ve come while he was asleep and before Omi woke him up. He really wished the person left a name or something; this person deserved a big thank you because he desperately needed the coffee.
“Maybe they just wanted to do a good deed for someone who needed it,” Omi suggested.
Tsuzuru scratched his head, still stuck on the idea of thanking the mystery person. He put the idea to rest for the time being and slipped the gift card and the note into his wallet. The gift card could get him at least five coffees from this shop. If this person was kindly giving him the money for coffee, then he better not waste it.
--
Ever since then, you got into a bit of a habit of leaving little gifts for Tsuzuru every once in a while. It’d only be at times he left his seat in the library or was asleep like he was before. Whenever you went to watch a Mankai Company play, you’d leave a little something in Tsuzuru’s gift bin. You doubted that he would even notice it, but you made sure to use dandelion-themed message cards or sticky notes when you wanted to leave a message.
You also made sure to leave the area as quick as you came. You were fine with just leaving him little presents once in a while and not being recognized for them. If you had the chance to see him find the gift, you felt enough satisfaction from seeing him smile. It felt like a good way to show how you felt for Tsuzuru while not being hindered by your shyness. Just knowing that he appreciated them was enough for you.
--
One Saturday night, you went to watch another great play at Mankai Company featuring Tsuzuru as one of the actors. It was always a treat to see him on the stage and see how his stories unfold. Whoever was in charge of the outfits and hair styling really knew how to make Tsuzuru look even more charming than he already was.
Since finals week was slowly approaching, you decided to get him another gift card to the same coffee shop from before since you had a feeling that he’d need the caffeine. You put it in a dandelion-themed envelope and left a card telling him how much you appreciated all the hard work that he put into his writing and his acting. You also told him to get some rest when he gets the chance since he’s probably exhausted from the busyness between school and the troupe this week.
After the curtain call ended, you followed the flow of the guests flooding back into the lobby. A lot of the guests liked to stick around to personally greet the actors, but you just wanted to leave the present in Tsuzuru’s bin and head home.
You just pulled the envelope out of your bag when someone else accidentally bumped into you. It was just hard enough for you to lose grip on the envelope and it fell to the ground.
“I’m so sorry, I really didn’t mean to!” the person said apologetically, leaning down to pick up the envelope for you.
“No, it’s fine! It’s not a big-“ You clammed up the moment you realized who was picking up your envelope.
It was the one and only Minagi Tsuzuru who was kneeling down and holding your gift to him in his hand. He looked up at you with a bit of worry.
“You aren’t hurt anywhere, are you?”
You weren’t able to form a decent sentence and just shook your head. The fact that Tsuzuru was actually talking directly to you wasn’t settling in your mind. You probably looked absolutely insane with the deep blush forming on your cheeks and the steam practically coming out of your ears.
He smiled. “That’s good.” He was about to hold the envelope up for you as he got up when he noticed that his own name was on it. “Wait, this is for me? Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!”
“U-Uh… y-yeah…”
“I’ll be sure to read it when…” His voice trailed off when something caught his eye. He was silent for a moment and then realized that he left you hanging. “O-oh, sorry. I just saw your handwriting and thought about how nice it looks.”
You looked up at him with wide eyes. “R-really…?” It was kind of embarrassing to hear your crush compliment something about you.
“Y-yeah, it’s really easy to read. You have good penmanship. You know, I feel like I’ve seen it before on some other cards that I’ve gotten here…” Tsuzuru peeked up at you. “... Or at the library.”
“H...Huh?” Your heart stopped immediately. He didn’t just say that, did he?
“You… you always use letters and sticky notes with dandelions on them, don’t you? After noticing that, I kinda started recognizing your handwrit-”
“U-Um!” You quickly interrupted him, shaking from both anxiety and fear. “I-I… R-Really sorry, but I… I’ve got a test on Monday that I, uh…. Gotta study! Bye!”
“W-wait!”
You weren’t able to hear him out because you ran out of the lobby as fast as you possibly could, leaving Tsuzuru absolutely in shock.
--
The following Monday, for lack of better terms, you felt like absolute shit. You spent a good portion of the weekend moping over the fact that Tsuzuru completely found out who you are and most likely thought you were creepy. The other portion of the weekend was spent studying for the test in order to stop moping over Tsuzuru.
You started regretting starting this habit and cringed at yourself every time you thought of it. It didn’t matter that you passed your test thanks to all those hours of studying; your crush found out about all of your weird antics! You felt like your love life hit an absolute low.
You found yourself passing by the library, something you always did after your last class. You stopped walking for a short moment before deciding to just walk past the building. As much as you wanted to go in and sit in silence, you were scared that you’d come across Tsuzuru. Mentally unprepared for that humiliation, so you sighed and started to go head home.
“Hey, wait up!”
You didn’t think much of the voice and kept walking away until someone grabbed your wrist. You turned around and saw Tsuzuru stopping you in your tracks. Both of you were quiet; Tsuzuru was catching his breath and you were too surprised by his sudden interaction. His eyes were serious and it looked like he didn’t want to let you out of his sight any time soon.
“Um… M-Minagi-san?”
His eyes widened and that serious look in his eyes was replaced with a more embarrassed one. He quickly retracted the hand holding your wrist and stuffed it in his pocket. “U-uh, s-sorry! I-I just left the library to wait for you outside but then I saw you leaving so I, uh…”
“Y-You were gonna What?”
Tsuzuru nodded shyly. “I was looking for you this morning, but you never came around. I had a feeling you were trying to avoid me, so I thought it’d be better to try my luck and just wait outside this time.” He laughed shyly. “Guess I got really lucky, huh?”
You rubbed your arm awkwardly. He might’ve felt lucky but you felt the exact opposite of that. You weren’t in the mood for any reminder of what happened on Saturday. “U-Um, did you need me for something?”
“Yeah. I wanted to give you something.” He shuffled through his backpack and held out a small envelope. “I...It’s a gift card for that coffee shop. I’m sure you didn’t know this, but I actually love going to that shop. I wanted to return the favor, so uh… here.”
You took the envelope and looked at it in surprise. Of all the things you thought he’d say, you didn’t expect him to give you a present. “Um… thanks.”
“Oh, and these, too.” Tsuzuru pulled out a small treat box from his bag and held that out to you. “They’re cookies. You said that you had a text today, right? I figured you might want something sweet after a test.”
“Y-You made these, Minagi-san?!” The cookies that you could see from the plastic window looked professionally made.
He laughed. “No, not me! Someone in the dorm I live in made them. He’s really good at cooking and baking. He made a lot, so I packed some for you.”
Your cheeks felt warm. You really weren’t expecting any presents from Tsuzuru and having his attention like this was somewhat embarrassing. “Y-You didn’t have to… I’m just your average fan and--”
He smiled softly. “I did it because I wanted to. You always put really nice letters and notes on the gifts. Maybe it’s because you see how stressed I can get in the library, but you always seemed to say the right things or give me something when I need it the most.” Tsuzuru scratched the back of his head sheepishly. “And as creepy as this sounds… I’ve been wanting to talk to you for a while now. Even before you started leaving presents for me. I just didn’t know how to start a conversation with you.”
You laughed a bit. “That’s nowhere near as creepy as leaving presents for someone you’ve never talked to.”
“Well, it’s just as creepy to accept presents left at your seat by some mystery person,” he retorted, laughing with you. “Speaking of which, I think it’s time I learned your name. You already know mine, and I can’t keep calling you a mystery person forever.”
Finally relieved that he didn’t find you freaky, you told him your name.
“(Full Name)-san, huh? It really suits you.” Tsuzuru liked the way your name rolled off of his tongue and he was almost tempted to say it again just for the sake of it. Just thinking of your name brought a smile to his lips. “Well, you already know it, but my name is Minagi Tsuzuru. It’s nice to formally meet you, (Name)-san.”
You chuckled, thinking about how you never thought things would lead up to this. “It’s nice to formally meet you too, Minagi-san.”
He saw the way you smiled and he felt his cheeks warm up a bit more. “Are you doing anything after this? You see, I happen to have a gift card to that coffee shop, too,” he said in a joking manner. “Do you want to grab a coffee and talk a bit more there? I’ll pay for your coffee.”
You laughed at his little joke and nodded. “If I can pay for yours, then I’d love to!”

Mikototsu + “I don’t want to fall asleep. I’m scared.” sorry for the late ask I finally got my computer to load tumblr again.
@starryredflames Thank you so much for the prompt, and sorry it took me forever! I have no excuses tbh. I hope you like it
(Just in case, it’s a little bit nsfw.)
read on ao3
“Oi,” Mikoto whispered harshly into the pitch-black darkness of his bedroom. “What are you doing?” The door had just creaked open, and Mikoto heard the patter of footsteps in his room.
“What does it look like I’m doing?” a voice whispered back. A familiar warmth pressed against Mikoto’s side, nuzzled against his cheek.
“I don’t know,” Mikoto said flatly. “I can’t see anything.”“Okay, then what does it feel like I’m doing?”
Mikoto inhaled sharply as soft lips brushed against his jaw. “I thought you were sleeping downstairs.”
“I don’t want to fall asleep,” Totsuka murmured innocently against Mikoto’s skin. “I’m scared.”
Mikoto scoffed. “You’re so full of shit,” he said, as he reached out a hand to pull Totsuka more tightly against him.
Totsuka chuckled sweetly. “It’s true,” he insisted. “Fushimi’s stories are always so scary.”
They’d been drinking downstairs in the bar when conversation had somehow veered towards urban legends, and Fushimi had told a story about an evil spirit that haunted a local park not far from Homra. Yata’s face had turned ashen when he realized that it was the same park they sometimes took Anna to play. “Good thing Anna’s already in bed,” Yata had said weakly, “or else she’d be really scared.”
Nobody had pointed out that Yata was the only one who was ever frightened by these spooky stories, nor did anyone comment on Fushimi’s small smile when Yata pushed his pillow suspiciously close to his as they got ready to sleep in the bar.
The bed creaked loudly as Mikoto moved to lay on top of Totsuka.
“Pfft…” Totsuka laughed loudly, and then covered his mouth. “Sorry, sorry,” he said. “It’s just that your bed is terrible.”
“Shut up,” Mikoto said, and then he leaned down to keep Totsuka quiet.
But staying quiet was nearly impossible; his bed was old and squeaky, and Mikoto was too turned on by Totsuka’s gasps and moans to discourage them.
Mikoto was too distracted by Totsuka’s hand on his dick to hear someone coming up the stairs until they heard a soft knock on his door.
They both froze.
“Mikoto-san?” a voice called softly. It was, of course, Yata. Mikoto said nothing, hoping he could pretend to be asleep. But Yata just called out more firmly. “Mikoto-san, are you awake?”
“Yeah,” he replied, grunting in frustration when Totsuka’s hand slid out from inside Mikoto’s pants. “What is it?”
“Can I come in for a second?” Yata asked.
Before he could answer, Totsuka was rolling off the bed and crawling underneath it. Mikoto rolled his eyes; it seemed like a lot of work to hide something that everyone would figure out eventually, anyways, but he would follow Totsuka’s lead on this one.
“Come in,” Mikoto said.
The door pushed open slightly, and Yata peered in, gripping his cell phone as a flashlight. He pointed it at Mikoto, and Mikoto winced at the bright light.
“What?” he grumbled.
“Sorry!” Yata said nervously. “It’s just, I heard weird noises from up here, and…” he hesitated. “And Totsuka-san disappeared!”
Mikoto ignored the snickers he could hear from under his bed. He sighed. “Maybe he’s in the bathroom.”
Yata shook his head. “I already checked.”
“Then maybe he went home.”“But his phone is still downstairs! And his jacket and stuff.”
This was getting ridiculous. “I’m sure Totsuka’s fine,” Mikoto said.
“I know it’s dumb,” Yata said earnestly, “but I can’t help but think...”
There was something slightly endearing about Yata interpreting Totsuka’s absence and the “weird noises” from Mikoto’s bedroom as a possible ghost attack, and not the more obvious explanation. Mikoto’s lips twitched into a tiny smile, when Yata suddenly let out a blood-curdling scream.
Yata pointed the light down at his foot, where Totsuka had gripped a hand around his ankle. Yata merely stared for a moment, shocked, and Totsuka laughed wildly. “Sorry, Yata,” he said, gasping for air. “I just wanted to scare King a bit.”
Yata blinked. “Oh.” He laughed weakly. “Uh, good one, Totsuka-san,” he said, still looking a little pale.
“Misaki?” a soft voice said from behind him, and Yata screamed again.
Anna appeared at his side, patting his arm reassuringly.
“I’m okay, I’m okay!” Yata said.
Totsuka got up from his hiding spot. “It's late. We should all get to bed,” he said. “Good night, King,” he said with a wink, shutting the door behind him as the three of them left Mikoto’s room.
Mikoto frowned, suddenly alone again. He was a little itchy all over, body still thrumming with heat from Totsuka’s touch.
Totsuka was going to come back, right? The next day…
“But it turns out, he was just hiding under Mikoto-san’s bed to scare him!” Yata laughed heartily, in a way he hadn’t been able to last night.
Fushimi stared at him.
“What?” Yata asked.
“Misaki,” Fushimi said, snickering, “you’re an idiot.”

Would my Kacchan be willing to write for my Kacchan for her Deku? Bakugos s/o has a fear of thunderstorms and is staying the night at his place when a big storm hits. And then adorable fluffyness that he would deny for the rest of his life happens.
my precious deku
my makoto to my haruka
my midorima to my takao
and my fushimi to my yata
Of course i can write this ^-^! This is so adorable *jumps around*
Sorry this took so long for me to get to xoxo!
You could see the storm clouds heading your way as you walked to Bakugou’s house, your hands were clenching your bag… You’ve hated storms for as long as you could remember, and now you have to face one when studying with Bakugou…
‘I have to stay strong! I can’t let him know i’m a coward! Ahhh! Who am i kidding?! I’m such a baby! NO! I got this! I won’t freak out!’
It was quiet in his room, neither of you were speaking, the only sounds were the rain drops tapping on the window and the smooth sounds of your pencils writing. You were content though, it was peaceful and the storm seemed to have passed minus the rain.
So you thought, until a sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble struck out of no where!
“Katsu!” You couldn’t help yourself, you were scared and frightened so your body reacted.
“The hell?”
Clinging to Bakugou’s arm tightly with your head resting on his shoulder blade and your body quivering, you closed your eyes in hope that the storm would stop.
Another loud crack came down outside and this time it sounded a lot closer. Tightening your grip around Bakugou’s arm and burring your head into his should more, a small cry fleed from your mouth.
“The hell is your problem idiot?” Bakugou’s words were as if he didn’t care, but the fact he was speaking so softly proved to you otherwise. “HEY! I SAID WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM!? ANSWER ME DAMMIT!!”
“Thunder…” You were mumbling, and the fact that his shoulder was muffling you didn’t help.
“Huh?! Couldn’t quite catch that?!” Pushing you away, Bakugou sat there waiting as patiently as he could for your answer.
“I- Th-The….” Your head was lowered, how could you tell him… ‘…He’s going to think i’m weak and tell me to leave…’
“SPIT IT OUT DAMMIT!” Tapping his pencil violently, Bakugou was clenching his teeth but the minute your head lifted… His pencil dropped from his hand… For the very first time, Bakugou felt a ping in his chest… Your face was full of distress, and those beautiful eyes of yours that always shined so bright… no longer radiated happiness. Instead your eyes were crestfallen…
“It’s th-the thunder… Katsu, i’m sorry… I know you probably look at me differently now, but for as long as i can remember” -A tear falls from your dejected eyes- “for as long as i can remember i’ve always been terrified of them, i’m so scared that a tornado or something with hit and everything will be destroyed…” Wiping your face you were about to get up so you could leave to get a tissue, but when one was presented in front of your face you didn’t know how to respond.
“You really are an idiot aren’t you?” Bakugou waved the white tissue in front of your face until you finally took it. “… We are all scared of something…” His face was turned from you.
“Katsu?”
You followed his eyes and there on his desk, Bakugou was staring at a framed picture with the two of you in it… Was he scared of losing you? Scared of you feeling hurt?
“Don’t ever look at me with those sad eyes again… Got it?”
Bakugou never said it, but as he looked at the framed photo of you both, you knew… Your strong willed Katsu was scared of seeing you in pain.
As you blew your nose thunder struck again which caused you to blow the tissue right out of your hands…
“Idiot… come here.” Grabbing your hand, Bakugou stood you both up and lead you to his bed.
“Sit”
Doing as he commanded you sat on his bed. Getting comfortable on the bed you felt a warm blanket being wrapped around your shoulders with him climbing in the bed with you. Flicking on the TV, Bakugou sat on his bed with you until… BOOM…
The lights went out.
You froze unable to move.
“Fucking kidding me!!!! Dammit! Hold on, stay here. I’ll be right back.”
…You weren’t going to go anywhere… You were still paralyzed.
Leaving the room, Bakugou was quick to come back.
You heard low crackling noises, he was using his quirk, and soon there was light in the room. Using his quirk, Bakugou lit a few candles and placed them in his room.
“You’re staying here tonight by the way. It’s too bad out for to go home, and since my parents aren’t home to drive you this is the best thing. Now scoot over.”
“Eh? Katsu, I can’t i need to go home or my parents-”
“Shut the hell up! I said you’re staying here! Who’s going to look after you tonight with this storm? Dammit! Just let me just be your personal hero tonight! GOT IT?”
You wish you had your phone next to you. Bakugou’s legs were shaking, one of his hands covered his mouth, and his face was redder than deadpool’s costume. He was in total shock that he just spat that out of his mouth.
“Not one fucking word, ___.”
Walking over to you with his legs out goofy, he joined you in his bed. Smacking his hand on your forehead, Bakugou forceully pushed you down on the bed and flipped you so you were on your side. Curling up with his little spoon, Bakugou wrapped his arm around your waist.
Whenever thunder struck he could feel you shake against him, he was trying so hard to think of something that would calm you down and finally, he had an idea.
“Hey… Listen. You’ve said before that you like my quirk, right?”- He moved the hand around your waist to your face, raising it a little so it wouldn’t cause harm, his hand started to spark with mini explosions.- “Think of the thunder as my quirk… Listen to it.”
You closed your eyes and listened in, and when the thunder struck you could hear the similarities.
“Sounda kind of like it, right?”
You nodded your head, eyes still shut, listening.
“Whenever you hear thunder, just think of me…”
Thunder struck again and you didn’t jump or tremble, instead… when you heard the noise, you pictured Katsu protecting you from bad guys… and soon… your thoughts had become a dream as you drifted off to sleep in Bakugou’s arms.
Stopping his quirks tiny explosions, Bakugou smirked to himself as he heard your soft breathing.
“Goodnight ya cute little idiot. I’ll always be here to protect you…”

“...” Saruhiko’s just staring at Yata. Since when had they passed out together in the internet café? And now, they’re tangled up together. Fushimi’s hair is disheveled, and his glasses are crooked across his face. His eyes are groggy, and Yata seems to be leaning against him. Is Yata still asleep? “Yata...” Pause. “Yata...” Only slightly louder. Then, he whispers to himself, “What the hell is this?”
@vonlived
Sleep still clings heavily to Yata, only stirring a bit after the second call of his name. But he doesn’t exactly feel like moving away just yet, being rather comfortable all snuggled up against Saruhiko’s shoulder, something that doesn’t quite register in his sleep clouded mind yet. The general position they’re in is anything but pleasant, a couch or a bed would have been far better, but the warmth and closeness to Saruhiko seem to make up for it.
“…. hn..?” Eventually, Yata seems to awaken, hazel eyes opening and blinking a few times. Slowly, he remembers where they are, what they’ve done - played some games on Saruhiko’s laptop - and then they must have fallen asleep…?
It takes him about another minute to fully comprehend everything, and most importantly the position they are in, which makes Yata sit up in an instant, cheeks gaining color while starting to feel dizzy from the abrupt movement.
“S-Sorry–!” he apologizes for having used Saruhiko as pillow, embarrassed by it, yet Yata doesn’t move away from him. He actually liked it, having slept pretty well despite the fairly uncomfortable position, but like always, he’s got no idea how Saruhiko feels and thinks about this.
“Seems like we’ve fallen asleep..” Stretching a bit with a yawn, his eyes fall on Saruhiko again, his embarrassment instantly forgotten when Yata sees just how groggy and disheveled the other is, putting a grin to his lips. It’s been a long time since seeing Saruhiko after just having woken up. “Heh, you look a mess.” But despite his words, there’s a fondness in both his voice and eyes as he reaches out to gently fix at least Saruhiko’s glasses.

The S4 squad gives Fushimi an ultimatum on his health after he had like a bad blackout and ended up in the infirmary for a few days. He now must have dedicated nap time that can only be interrupted by emergencies. They set up a super comfy couch in a room right near the office that has black out curtains and they all get to pass by and make sure he's sleeping, Akiyama has been so lucky as to be a lap pillow before for their cute sleeping superior. ((love your blog btw!!))
Fushimi gets to be a little more healthy and everyone gets to enjoy his cute sleeping face, it’s a win for everyone :D Maybe this is post-ROK when Fushimi is actually attempting to let people in a bit more and looking after his health a little better. Of course S4 is as busy as ever and his whole plan at not neglecting himself gets overlooked because he has work to do and Fushimi isn’t going to let a little thing like sleep get in the way of working. At some point he ends up working without sleep for several days in a row, only to pass out spectacularly in the middle of a mission and freaking the entire squad out to the point they think he’s dead. Akiyama quickly takes control of the situation and has Fushimi carried back to the vans and then to the infirmary, where he gets fluids and lots of sleep due to being nice and unconscious.
When Fushimi wakes up and returns to the office the squad are all there forming like a united front, determined not to let this happen again. Fushimi doesn’t get why they’re bothering him but they won’t just let him slip by, imagine Akiyama taking point here again and smiling very politely as he steps between Fushimi and his computer and says they haven’t finished speaking yet. Fushimi’s surprised that the squad are being so adamant on this but they all make it clear that he scared the shit out of them and this can’t happen again. Therefore after talking with Captain and the Lieutenant they’ve designated a specific time of day as ‘Fushimi-san’s naptime,’ where regardless of how much sleep he got at night he has to go in the nice spot they’ve made up for him in the common room and sleep for at least two hours every day, interrupted only by life or death emergencies.
Fushimi complains that this is stupid and the first time they send him to nap time imagine he takes out his PDA and tries to get more work done, which is when Akiyama leans around the curtains and takes the PDA away all ah we forgot this. Fushimi huffs that he doesn’t see the point of all this and Akiyama laughs sheepishly as he sits down on the couch next to Fushimi and explains that they all were really worried for him and this was the best they could think of. He says that they all look up to Fushimi and know he’s talented but also he doesn’t have to do everything alone, he can rely on other people and let himself relax sometimes. Fushimi looks away and clicks his tongue but Akiyama’s just looking at him with this calm caring face and finally Fushimi’s like ‘fine.’ He lies back with his head in Akiyama’s lap and immediately Akiyama’s all flustered like ‘F-Fushimi-san!’. Fushimi drowsily says if Akiyama wants to make him sleep so much Akiyama can at least be his pillow for a while. Akiyama’s all flustered but also pretty pleased, especially when Fushimi really does properly fall asleep on his lap (everything is nice and peaceful until someone comes by to check on Fushimi and it happens to be Munakata, he takes in the sight of Fushimi napping on Akiyama’s lap with an ‘I see’ and poor Akiyama is just so stressed because he doesn’t know if that was a good reaction or if he’s in trouble somehow now).
#Fushimi Saruhiko#Akiyama Himori#Talking K#Akifushi#a li'l bit anyway#everyone is so jealous of Aki#he got to see Fushimi's sleeping face up close#and be his lap pillow#a true honor that everyone should strive for

I GOT MY DRIVER’S LICENSE LAST WEEK
JUST LIKE WE ALWAYS TALKED ABOUT
‘CAUSE YOU WERE SO EXCITED FOR ME
TO FINALLY DRIVE UP TO YOUR HOUSE
Omi was the first person to pass his driver’s license test in his family.
His father wasn’t getting any younger, so his hands were hesitant and shaky every time they hovered over the stick shift. The buttons out of the corners of his eyes were much too confusing for his old brain so Omi’s father insisted on walking everywhere. As he grew older, the Fushimi household reached a compromise of taking public transport during the weekdays.
Omi’s two younger brothers weren’t old enough. They were still in their early preteen years, so getting behind the wheel wasn’t a legal option. As the oldest son, Omi took it upon himself to get into a four-wheeler and figure out all the tricky mechanics for himself. Hours and hours passed borrowing his friend’s vehicle, spinning around in circles in abandoned parking lots, and studying road laws.
When Omi learned all by himself and paid for it with his own money, his father clapped his shoulder with his usual proud smile and congratulated him.
The leather beneath his father’s wrinkled hands suddenly felt like skin, as if he could see right through him. When Omi took a moment to take a deep breath in, he closed his eyes and could almost see a younger version of his father. A father that wouldn’t be so close to retirement, that wasn’t so fragile and slow.
What did his father see? Could he see Omi was still the little boy sitting in the backseat all those years ago?
“That’s my boy! You’re just like your—” Omi didn’t want to hear the rest of the sentence, so he hurried upstairs and left his father alone in the corridor. Sometimes, he regrets it. But, most times, Omi’s glad he didn’t stay.
Whenever Omi got into a car after that, he sometimes still heard it in his head.
Omi knew he was like his mother.
BUT TODAY I DROVE THROUGH THE SUBURBS
CRYING ‘CAUSE YOU WEREN’T AROUND
YEAH, TODAY I DROVE THROUGH THE SUBURBS
‘CAUSE HOW COULD I EVER LOVE SOMEONE ELSE?
The first thing Omi did after receiving his license was visit his mother.
The car wasn’t preferable by any means, but it did its job. The seat creaked every time Omi had to adjust it, the air freshner didn’t make anything better, and there was no possibility that the air conditioning worked. But, the windows rolled down all the way, the wheels rarely ran out of air, and the car door only jammed sometimes. At the red light, Omi shifted and heard the crease of his jacket.
Omi didn’t know why he still wore it. Those days were long past him now, but the aged material made this whole experience a little easier. Before Omi could let himself reminicse, the light turned green and Omi automatically pushed forward.
Check the rear-view mirror. Two hands on the wheels at all time. Eyes on the road. Pay attention to stop signs. Be aware of everything around you. Omi repeated this again and again until the GPS on his phone announced he reached his location. Parking carefully, Omi let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding until everything stopped moving.
Picking up the small bouquet of flowers on the passenger’s seat, Omi locked his car and nodded at the security guard at the gates.
“Hi, Ma.” Omi said, pausing at a worn-down grave with the same flowers as last time.
“I got my driver’s license last week.”
AND I KNOW WE WEREN’T PERFECT
BUT I’VE NEVER FELT THIS WAY FOR ANYONE
AND I JUST CAN’T IMAGINE
HOW COULD YOU BE SO OKAY NOW THAT I’M GONE?
Omi sat besides her, leaning his head upon the cold grey stone. Like her tombstone, she was always strong, resilient, and offered a shoulder to cry on. Omi shuddered and wrapped an arm around the grave, as if she was still here.
“I did it.” Omi breathed and closed his eyes shut, hearing the distant rumbling of a thunderstorm. Even though Omi knew he should’ve left to get ahead of the rain, his legs were too weak. He couldn’t move without feeling like he was going to crash and burn.
“Ma... it was so hard.” Omi finally admitted to himself, squeezing the plastic of the bouquet in his hands and distracting himself with the crinkle. “Every time I sat in the driver’s side, I thought of you. I was... I’m so scared.”
Silence, before a clap of thunder. Omi flinched, hiding his face in the grey. “You were such a good driver, you followed every single rule. You should’ve been the one to teach me...”
Omi hated this feeling, like he was selfish for wanting his mother to be here with him. But, he knew he was right. Omi shouldn’t have had to suffer through panic attacks by himself. Make close calls with no one by his side. Balance school, work, family, and driving every single day. Omi could feel the exhaustion in his bones, as if he was the one who was dead.
“Pa couldn’t. Ever since...” Omi didn’t dare relive the tragedy. All he could bear was the inhumane screams, shattering glass, and alarms of the ambulance from miles away before snapping back to reality. “... the accident, he’s been so, so sad.”
It was an under-statement to say the Fushimi boys were struggling. Losing a parent didn’t hurt just emotionally, but financially as well. As Omi’s father picked up more shifts, more and more of that money went to medical bills that should’ve been years down the line.
“Your boys miss you so much. I miss you, so much. You would’ve been so proud... just like Pa. He said—” Omi’s voice cracked and he hated himself for it. Pulling the jacket tighter, Omi winced as the sudden gust of wind chilled his spine. The leaves rustled unceremoniously and Omi wished he could fly away, too.
“I’m just like you, Ma.” Placing the small flowers at the base of her grave, Omi read the faded engraving upon the surface until his vision was clearer.
Omi moved onto the next grave without a goodbye, because he’s had too many of those in this lifetime.
GUESS YOU DIDN’T MEAN WHAT YOU WROTE IN THAT SONG ABOUT ME
‘CAUSE YOU SAID FOREVER, NOW I DRIVE ALONE PAST YOUR STREET
After visiting his mother and Nachi, Omi returned to his car. It looked nothing like the car he almost died in. Back then, that car was big enough to hold a family of five snugly. Now, Omi’s car didn’t need all that room. His father would never get back into a car ever again, and his brothers could just sit in the back.
Resting his hand upon the car door, Omi didn’t have the heart to open it. Going inside meant driving home; driving home meant seeing his father flinch whenever the car pulled into the driveway. Driving home meant preparing dinner, making sure the boys did their homework, giving Pa his proper medications, doing homework, and barely sleeping. Going home meant being mom.
As the rain began to pour, Omi didn’t move. Soaked and unable to distinguish if he was crying or just stupid, Omi hung his head and let the water run over him. Was this his Ma’s way of crying for him? Omi didn’t want to know.
Omi finally yanked open the car door when a pair of glowing headlights passed by him. He nearly missed the splash of a puddle by his feet as Omi started the engine. Something was wrong. The usual ignition wasn’t audible and the lights barely illuminated the darkening path. Omi sat in the driver’s side with frustration that’s been growing ever since the car accident.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me!” Omi swore, kicking the floor uselessly as he lifted his fist to hit the surface. Before he could slam his hand down, Omi sighed and simply hit the dashboard lightly at the last second. He had spent far too much money only to pay for repairs later on.
Omi pulled out his phone and checked, only to see no bars and no signal. Omi was cold, shivering, and crying in a cemetery and he had never felt more alone.
AND ALL MY FRIENDS ARE TIRED
OF HEARING HOW MUCH I MISS YOU, BUT
I KINDA FEEL SORRY FOR THEM
‘CAUSE THEY’LL NEVER KNOW YOU THE WAY I DO
Omi bought his first car after saving for months.
He honestly didn’t have to. Leaving behind the delinquent life meant making good friends. Friends that didn’t start fights, disobey the law, or be at risk of being put behind bars. Therefore, Omi had a friend that was willing to just give him a car.
“Come on, this is our gift to you. You don’t have to worry about this!” Omi’s friends insisted, trying to push the keys into Omi’s tight fists. No matter how much pressure was put upon him, Omi never faltered, just like stone.
“I’m sorry, but I... can’t take this.” Omi guiltily rejected the brand-new car. It was a model only rich people drove, the same exact demographic his friend was apart of. It was freshly washed with the proper tags and everything. Omi could’ve just taken it and saved thousands of dollars.
Except, he couldn’t. The car by no means was a vehicle he sat in before. But, the white color was the same. If Omi wasn’t paying attention, maybe he could ignore it. Yet every time he saw the exterior, it brought him back to that rainy day, desparately fumbling to rip off his seatbelt and wake his mother up.
“Omi... you can’t afford to say no...” They sympathetically tried to reason with him, but Omi was far gone. He backed up, nearly tripping with how hurriedly he stepped on his own heels. If he blinked, he could see the new car wrecked. If he didn’t focus, he could hear the sickening sound of the brakes failing.
“Omi, it’s been years since she—”
If he let himself get consumed by the past, he’d surely die.
“Thank you for this, but I can’t. I’m sorry.”
Omi bought a car a week later and when his father asked about price, Omi lied through his teeth.
“My friends saved up and bought me one for my birthday. Don’t worry, Pa. We can make the bills.”
Even when his friends sold it and tried to give him the money, Omi didn’t take it. His mother didn’t raise her son to take money from anyone.
Like mother, like son.
TODAY I DROVE THROUGH THE SUBURBS
AND PICTURED I WAS DRIVING HOME TO YOU
Omi left the windshield wipers on, watching as the rain drops got caught in the way. The heating wasn’t functioning, so Omi huddled in on himself and waited for some sort of sign that he could make it home tonight. The radio crackled every now and then, making Omi jump every time a voice spoke a word before getting cut off.
The world continued on as Omi lived through another rainy dark sky. Omi remembered staring up at this type of sky, his back laid out on a stretcher and hand reaching for the closest family member. Omi mentally punched himself, finding that he was getting caught up in his own trauma much more often than usual. Ever since driving lessons.
When it got too much to handle, the assignments, the expectations, the pressure, Omi indulged in make-believe. Omi imagined an universe where he was driving home to be welcomed by the warm embrace of his mother. Where his father was standing taller, where his brothers left their rooms on their own accord, where he wasn’t the backbone of the household anymore. It didn’t do him any good to hope for something impossible, but Omi did so anyways sometimes.
Perhaps it was his punishment for not being the one who died that night.
As Omi swiped mindlessly through his phone, willing for a bar, a crack of lightning made his skin crawl. Yet, beneath the pounding rain, a single yell of shock alerted Omi to look up from his screen. A deep sense of familarity forced Omi to look past his window, hoping to see past the blurriness of it all.
At the sight of a dark frame, Omi didn’t think twice before hurdling him outside, barely able to close his door before stripping his jacket and throwing it around the man. The shivering man weakly holding onto an umbrella that did nothing but cause more problems.
“Pa?! What are you doing here?”
RED LIGHTS, STOP SIGNS
I STILL SEE YOUR FACE IN WHITE CARS, FRONT YARDS
CAN’T DRIVE PAST THE PLACES WE USED TO GO TO
‘CAUSE I STILL FUCKING YOU LOVE YOU, BABY
“Son!” Omi’s father happily greeted despite being on the verge of catching a cold. Omi held the umbrella over his father’s head, taking the brunt of the cold willingly.
“I took the bus here. I knew you’d be visiting her today, but it was quite late.” He explained, wearing a newsboy cap that he must’ve had since youth. The sight of his father with a runny nose and wet clothes at his expense set something off in Omi.
“Why did you come?”
“To bring you home—”
“What would’ve happened if you died?”
The sound of rain was defeaning. Omi’s father stopped, staring at his son like he was seeing him for the first time. Omi’s arm started shaking, his grip on the umbrella’s handle was slacking. The truth weighed upon his shoulders, like he was about to collapse.
What if the bus had crashed? What if something happened to Pa while walking to the cemetery? What if it was Omi’s fault? Before Omi could apologize, he felt a pair of arms wrap around his shoulders.
Omi dropped the umbrella.
SIDEWALKS WE CROSSED
I STILL HEAR YOUR VOICE IN THE TRAFFIC, WE’RE LAUGHING OVER ALL THE NOISE
GOD, I’M SO BLUE, KNOW WE’RE THROUGH
Omi couldn’t die.
Not when he raised his weak father that wasn’t getting any younger. He had to take care of his two younger brothers. Omi had to finish university, graduate, and be hired at a high-paying job to support his family. Fushimi Omi couldn’t die.
But, here he was, breaking.
“My boy, I’m not going anywhere.” Omi’s father said it so surely, like it was a promise he could control. Omi hesitated before resting his chin on his father’s shoulder, closing his eyes and inhaling the scent of cologne. It was the brand his mother used to love, but he knew his father hated this one. It was so fitting, Omi refrained from crying.
“You’re so strong, I’m so proud of you.” Omi nodded, hugging his father with unsaid words he’d never be able to speak. Omi could never tell him his greatest fear was Pa dying. Could never admit that seeing his father react a second late makes him pace. Could never reveal he only went to university close-by in case an emergency occurred. Everything Omi did was for his father, his Pa, his only parent.
“She’d be so proud of who you are today. You are her son.” Omi’s father patted him once, twice, then pulled back. He rested his aged palm upon Omi’s cheek gently, just like his mother used to. His thumb ran over his scar with no judgment, just fatherly love.
Omi had never felt more loved.
‘CAUSE I STILL FUCKING YOU LOVE YOU, BABY
“You’re just like your mother, Omi.”

“R:B” CHAPTER 4 (Part 1)
TRANSLATION & RAWS: NARU-KUN
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3: Part 1 / Part 2
Hot.
The body seems to burn.
The meat is roasted in the flames. The blood boils constantly.
Everything around his emitted heat. Everyone around his has pushed the heat. Tied, hampered and contained. Tied up and condensing the heat.
The heat inside was already unbearable. His brain was boiling and he even felt like it was melting. If he doesn’t let go immediately, he will go crazy. So he put that heat in his fist and hit it. For something that pushes the heat. To tie things up. By things that incline, hinder and contain. To everything that tries to tie it.
He will do his best to repel the tangible and intangible pressure that blocks him. The pressing heat turns into scorching heat and rejects it.
Just at that moment, the heat that escaped became a pleasant sensation and burned his nerves. The wave of heat shaking his discomfort, made the freedom of the moat shine.
It was comfortable.
So…
Hit it.
Smash it.
Penetrates.
Push it in and get out.
The unexpected joy of pleasure that was not his. There were many people around him who were delighted with liberation from slavery and wanted to be destroyed. There were those who had the same goal and those who had the same irritation. He took the initiative and exercised power. The companions screamed loudly, and the sound brought a new pleasant warmth.
Power went up. Even if he is hurt or painful, he is still the power to carry on. It is a power that never gives up, even if it is confusing and terrifying.
It is the warmth of life.
And now. It's hotter than ever. It is painful. Flesh burns, blood becomes irritated, and irritation fills the brain.
It's okay.
The "power" that stabbed the fangs, shaved the desires and shook ...
He tears it all down.
Everything was burned.
Those who rejoice together were erasing everything with their hands.
It is the desert that extends. The desert he once dreamed of.
Facing the vague but emotionless sight, the blood freezes, the core freezes, it's like this, he is different...
Suoh woke up to a chewing voice that did not sing or shadow. His entire body was drenched in sweat and he was making a violent pounding as if his heart was broken.
Like a bad cold that seems to upset the stomach and a severe attack of cancer in the limbs. Inhale the warm air of the place and scratch the moment between dreams and reality.
He looks around with unmistakable fear. It makes sure there was no evidence of destruction.
What there is the usual view. Nothing changes, the room on the first floor of the bar "HOMRA".
He was tense with all his nerves and confirmed it many times.
And finally he exhales.
Immediately after the fleeting relief, a sticky and suffocating heat completely enveloped Suoh's entire body.
++++++++++
He lit the cigarette for the moment.
Suoh puts smoke in his lungs while sitting on the bed. Then exhale everything from his body.
It seems there is still heat left in cells throughout the body. The center of his head is particularly terrible. Feel a sharp dull ache in the slight mud-like heat. Damn feeling, like poison in his chest, he smokes again.
When he closed his eyes, the scene from his dream was still on. The desert of destruction. What's hard to say is that while he avoids the scene, he thinks it's okay. As he understood the tragedy, he still had the sensitivity to feel the scene in a refreshing and liberating way.
There were no ties of any kind there. There was freedom.
Freedom based on his own power.
Damn. He frowned and stood up.
Looking out the window, the scorching sunlight still lights up the world. Suoh clicked his tongue, imagining a peaceful prison.
He put the cigarette in an ashtray and left the room.
Suoh is awake on the second floor of "HOMRA". He takes a shower and walks from the hall to the stairs. Faced with that, hear a voice below.
"No doubts?"
"Yes. Fushimi also confirmed it by another route."
Izumo Kusanagi's bitter voice. It was Totsuka who answered.
"Yes. I expected it, but as soon as I faced him, he ran away."
"Whatever. It's my responsibility."
"I do not care. I will carry it out. Somehow."
"I feel sorry for the mob people."
"That is his business."
When he heard about the mafia, he knew what it was. It's the conflict from the other day. Suoh makes a sound and goes downstairs while somehow observing the content of the conversation.
At the same time as the footsteps echoed, the conversation between the two stopped. Kusanagi and Totsuka turn their faces as he goes down to the first floor.
"King. Good Morning."
"Even though it's very hot, I can't sleep until this time."
Totsuka was unconcerned and Kusanagi spoke with a dismayed smile. They were both not serious until shortly before.
It is a pleasant and habitual attitude. Suoh shrugged and took his usual seat at the counter.
"And Anna?"
"She went shopping with Kamamoto."
Take control and light the cigarette. Kusanagi kindly handed him the ashtray.
He asked for a glass of water and drank about half of it at a time. Water, a mineral that floats on ice, slides through the body. The sensation made him feel a bit rested.
He probably won't want to hear it.
These two people should be able to see that his internal pressure has recently increased. He is sincerely grateful for the consideration that they do not want to put an extra burden on him.
But,
"...So?"
Suoh asks, smoking slowly and brushing off the ashes.
"Are you sure?"
Kusanagi arched an eyebrow and Totsuka looked up, and they looked at each other. Even if he feels like it just then, he thinks they are intimidating each other.
"What did you hear?"
"I just heard it. It seems to be the case with the last mafia."
"Yes, well... Actually, that conflict seems to have started with our newcomer."
"Did he get into a fight?"
"That's what I mean... Apparently, they blackmailed the drug business."
Suoh's eyes when he heard it became sharper.
"I see, it's disgusting because they just fill their mouths."
He dares to laugh ironically.
"I'm excited about my mafia opponent."
"Idiot. Your screws just fly away."
"Eh?"
"Yes. It started to cost me because they rejected me there, it seems that it was the result of an increasing escalation."
Totsuka half faintly replied.
Suoh and his friends attacked the last time because the members of "Homura" were attacked by the mafia. Retribution for the attack. And, in order not to cause more victims to the members, the battle was opened.
However, it seems that the cause was on "Homura's" side in the first place.
Of course, when it comes to the drug business in the Shizume-cho area, it cannot be overlooked. Eventually, a collision would have been inevitable.
"Rather, I'm glad you refused. It's hard to imagine 'Homura' would be one of the traffickers."
"Homura" is a group of so-called street gangs, but they have not dealt with illegal businesses.
Exceptionally, when troubleshooting Strains, the customer may be someone who is "the source", but the requests received are carefully screened. They have a line that should not be crossed as a team.
They have the meaning of self-discipline because they are a group with enormous power, but more than that, it will not be "a hobby" of Suoh and other executives.
However, there are some who are unhappy with him in the current "Homura".
"Even if Totsuka says 'harassment', while listening to something that never happened, it seems like other newcomers also exploded and got involved. They did various things, from funny pranks to stealing products. He must have been quick to sharpen there."
Kusanagi knew that there was a skirmish between a part of "Homura" and the mafia. However, shortly after hearing from the members and embarking on arbitration, the mess turned into a conflict.
There are also conditions like the fact that the opponent was a martial arts group, and that many of the members were foreigners and didn't know much about "Homura's" real situation. But still, if the lower limb hadn't anointed the fire, it would have been a bit smarter.
Suoh waved the cigarette with a distant look as he listened to the story.
The more he listened to it, the less it seemed to go down. A ridiculous and troublesome story. However, he wondered if he could say something about those people without laughing.
For example, how far would he have gone that night if Totsuka hadn't stopped him? For his own pleasure. Or to escape the pain of burning.
Bitter things come from the back of the body.
"What guys?"
"Do you remember Yamata, who received the installation three months ago?"
"Yes."
"It's a group focused on him, and now it's a group of seven or eight people."
Kusanagi said that and scratched his head in an annoyed manner.
With an old man's expression that is a mixture of deprivation and ideology.
“Well, it is a small article. It was a journey where a little smart kid was smart and mean. However, when the other party is the mafia and the kid is a walking flame radiator, it's not easy to drink."
He said bitterly with a serious voice.
"The most troublesome thing is that those smart guys don't do it. At the bottom, it's okay if it's so unreasonable. There's a lot of air, on the contrary, next time they'll go through more and more, and even if they move on with the current situation It usually will. As expected, it's too early."
While saying that, Kusanagi prepared a glass for him and poured water.
After putting it in his mouth and taking a breath...
"I really want you to be patient."
When, he laments exaggeratedly...
"Although "Scepter 4" is getting more active, our members are increasing the extra work."
"After all, if I'm keeping an eye out for newcomers..."
“That's why I said it before. I am only responsible for you."
By convention, Totsuka was supposed to take care of the newcomers in "Homura." But it's been months since that practice stopped working. As Fushimi has said many times, there are too many newcomers rather than Totsuka's negligence.
In progress…

Title: Sky Thief
Day 3 (I know, I’m late af): One was a Book Thief. The Other Stole the Sky.
Summary:
"How are things up in the sky?" Shouto murmured.
Izuku peeked open one eye, leaning to the left to avoid the sun in his eyes.
"Blue. The truest of blue. And fluffy large clouds like cotton candy."
A beat of silence before Shouto asked, hesitantly.
"What does cotton candy taste like?"
(Or an AU in which Izuku becomes a nurse and Shouto is a patient at the hospital he is working at. Tasting cotton candy sounds like a good idea for a first date.)
Tags: Quirkless Izuku, Pro Hero Shouto, Shouto is suffering visual injury and cannot see, so Izuku is currently being his eyes, First Date, Fluff, Deadpan Humor courtesy of Shouto
The first time Izuku saw Hero Shouto wander along the hall of the hospital, he promptly blacked out and was kindly dragged by the feet back to the employee room by his mentor.
He had his reasons for fainting of course. It wasn’t everyday that he got to see one of the top heroes in the world in person. And certainly not Hero Shouto: the second strongest in the world of the next generation and everyone's heartthrob. He played a pivotal role in the downfall of the League of Villains. Hero Shouto was also Izuku's age and already, he had accomplished so many admirable feats. A hero seemingly unfailable, strong and capable; and yet here he was, padding along the deserted hospital hallway with slow careful steps and jumping at the slightest of sounds, white gauze wounding tightly around his eyes. Izuku knew the reason for Hero Shouto’s visual injury. He had followed the news of the Battle of Fushimi Inari — raid of the Villain Syndicate — very closely. With over 300 Pro-Heroes mobilized and all civilians evacuated, this raid had been even bigger than the raid of the League of Villains six years ago.
This raid lasted for two days and nearly grazed Kyoto to the ground. But the heroes emerged victorious with no casualties. Izuku had burst into tears when he’d read the news that day. This was the generation of heroes he grew up with, he didn't want to hear in the news that one of them had died in battle. All Might would forever be his idol but the heroes from his generation were the ones that he paid a lot attention to right now.
There were numerous injuries, both grievous and life threatening. The out of town hospital Izuku was employed at had deployed nearly all its personnel in aid. Izuku, only in his first month of employment, was asked to stay at the hospital. His mentor feared that he couldn't handle the rush and stress of on field healing. He didn't disagree but that didn't mean he hid his disappointment when he was told to stay put. He knew he could do more. He knew he was capable. If only he was given a chance.
Everything boiled down to the fact that all the heroes were in highly-facilitated hospitals, with the best and most capable medical teams aiding their recovery. Yet, here Hero Shouto was, in Izuku’s rural hospital, all while he was among the grievously injured heroes; his sight damaged due to a villain with a dust manipulating quirk. Hence, Izuku had every reason to believe that Hero Shouto was located in one of the fancy hospitals with newest equipments and top-tiered doctors, which Izuku’s small town hospital was in no possession of. Then again, Izuku had full trust in his eyesight and brain capacity to process images. Because that was definitely Hero Shouto. Half white half red hair, the burn over his left eyes peeking beyond the bandage. That was definitely Hero Shouto. But he wasn't informed of Hero Shouto being here. At all... Did his mentor somehow forget this one bit of important information? This was unlike her, but Izuku sent the message on his phone anyway. He needed to know the extent of Hero Shouto's injuries and where his medical records were.
The second time he met Hero Shouto, it was for a check up. His mentor had explained that she did indeed forget to inform him. Hero Shouto had requested to be moved to a quieter hospital, without letting the press and nosy paparazzi know, so he was moved in during the night. His mentor had been too tired to think about informing him. Not that Izuku blamed her, she had been on the field for a full three days with hardly any sleep.
Izuku quickly flipped through Hero Shouto's medical report. Just like what the news had said, Hero Shouto was temporarily blinded and was waiting for a corneal transplant. His hearing was reduced and injured due to blastwave, luckily not too severe to require a cochlear implant, but he needed quietude for the middle ear fluid to settle down. Besides the injuries from the battle, he didn't have any chronic conditions. There were notes about his burn and the condition of his left eye, but Izuku didn't read through them. Somehow it seemed private, even though he had the right to go through the medical history. But something in him told him no, that that really was not for him and he could do just fine with the information he had now. Izuku flew up the stairs to the top floor, greeting in-patients and colleagues he encountered on the way with a polite nod. He had forgone the chirpy greetings. His voice wasn't working properly at the moment. If he opened his mouth, the chance of him screeching and squealing in anticipation was high. Room 453 was located at the very end of the hallway, overlooking the dense woods and glistening sea beyond. Izuku sprinted the last few steps, heart hammering wildly in his chest, until he stood in front of the door, breathless and suddenly questioning himself.
He couldn't believe this. He was actually meeting one of the best heroes of this age. Did he really have the skill to treat heroes with top priority as Hero Shouto? Had he learnt enough to treat a human? Unbiddenly, doubt flooded his mind. Suddenly it was hard to breathe, and his vision swayed, a mini panic attack. Izuku forced himself to lift his lips up. A smile, even fake and unreal, was enough to trick his brain into thinking everything was fine. All Might smiled through everything, even in the direst of situations. If All Might could do that, then Izuku definitely could too. Behind this door, there was a human needing his help and assistance. He would damn well smile his worry away and help him to the best of his ability. He raised his hand and knocked his knuckles on the door. In the empty corridor, the sound carried. "This is—" Izuku swallowed hard, cursing himself, and tried again. "Midoriya Izuku. May I come in for the morning check-up?" He did it, he managed to say it! In second try but he did it. He gave himself a pat on his back. Being proud of all the little accomplishments was how he got to this point today. From inside the room, a voice floated out, rusty and gravel like leaves running across pebbles, unlike the smooth tonal Izuku heard on the off chance Hero Shouto spoke in an interview. "Come in." With one final intake, Izuku pulled the door to the side. "Please excuse my intru —" Only to see Hero Shouto sitting on the ledge of the window, with his back to the door and his legs dangling over the edge, eyes still bandaged. The file in his arms clattered to the ground as Izuku raced over, hugging the midsection of Hero Shouto and bodily pulled him inside with ease. Izuku didn't know if Hero Shouto was really weakened or he was just humoring Izuku. Hero Shouto obediently sat on the sofa, turning his head in Izuku's direction, head tilting to the side in an apparent question. "What," Izuku wheezed, "do you think," he took another breath, swallowed and punched his chest repeatedly to calm his heart, "you are doing? You could have fallen to your death!" Hero Shouto had the gale to smile lightly, filled of interest, along with humor and something else Izuku could not decipher. But right this moment, he just wanted to shake some sense into this crazy hero. "I just can't see. My quirk still works. I can catch myself if I fall. I'm not helpless." "I do not care. You are my patient. And I put my patient's safety first even if they don't put their own first." Izuku balled his fists by his sides. This was just typical Hero's thinking, believing they could help themselves without ever thinking about others who cared about them. Izuku shook his head outwardly. He was the biggest hypocrite. Had life turned out differently, had he had a quirk, he wouldn't give two cents about his own safety and health. But that wasn't his life at the moment, his life now was to make sure everyone was up to their health. "So please don't put your life in danger. You worry me." He tacked on when Hero Shouto still donned that unreadable half smirk. He didn’t notice that smile falling into one of confusion, already busying himself with reading the vitals and measuring Hero Shouto's blood pressure. Izuku quickly fell into the spectrum of focus. This was what he was trained to do and he would do his job well. He was in the middle of taking out new role of gauze to redress the wound when Hero Shouto spoke. "I just wanted to watch the sunrise." "I see," was what Izuku replied, not really paying attention to what Hero Shouto said. He was busy applying antibiotic ointment on the gauze. An unnecessary step since they were medical class gauzes, but he was nothing if not double careful. "I can't." "Hmm?" "I can't see." Izuku finally looked at Hero Shouto, who wore a blank face. It took him a moment to run the conversation through his head. Once it made sense, he snorted and dropped the gauze on the tray. "Your sense of humor needs to be admitted to the hospital for being bone dry." "But you laughed." Hero Shouto smiled crookedly, as if he wasn't used to smiling. "Todoroki Shouto." He extended his arm toward Izuku. He didn't introduce himself as a Hero, Izuku noted and took the offered hand, blisters littering it. "Midoriya Izuku, nurse in training." "Happy to be under your supervision." "You can make me happy by not putting your life in danger and save my heart from early constriction," Izuku smoothly snapped back, stern and full of disapproval. In the back of his mind, he noticed how snarky he was being and shook his head. Kacchan was rubbing off on him. "Duly noted," Hero Shouto — or maybe just Shouto for now since he’d introduced himself that way — agreed with ease and leant back against the armchair. Izuku huffed but got to work untying the old gauze around his eyes. "I hope I don't need to have you sign an actual written agreement." Shouto chuckled but didn’t say anything else. They lapsed into silence, filled with comfort and ease. Izuku unwound the last layer of gauze and removed the cotton padding, wincing at the sight before him. Shouto's eyes were swollen red. It must have been painful, and yet he hadn't heard Shouto making any noise of discomfort. The corneas were braised with dust into permanent damage. A transplant needed to be carried out as soon as possible. This also begged the question as to why there hadn't been a corneal transplant carried out already at the moment of injury. Shouto was of enough importance to warrant first priority on the waitlist for a transplant the moment a donor for a cornea appeared. Izuku filed that question away to hound his mentor with later; he also was nothing if not nosy and refocused. He took out the anti bacterial solution and cotton balls, and hesitated. He hated that he had to hurt people so they could get better. "Please bear with me. I need to clean the wounds." He bit down on his lips. He knew Shouto wouldn't care, but he felt the need to warn him anyway. It was always a part of his procedure. "Don't worry. I'm used to pain," Shouto replied airily. That really didn't ease Izuku's nerves, but he took what he could get. Then, as gently as possible, he pressed the cotton ball around Shouto's inflamed eyelids. Shouto twitched but didn't jerk away. He sat perfectly still. Izuku cleaned the right eye quickly and moved onto the left, extra careful with his scar.. "What color is the sunrise?" Shouto suddenly asked, completely out of the blue. Izuku understood this as a distraction from pain and willingly went along with. He glanced out of the window. "Peach color. With smokey clouds. It is very blue too. Blue like the color of your ice, Shouto. You can actually hear the blue riding along the waves crashing against shore.” Izuku gently tucked stray strands of hair behind Shouto’s ears so he could clean the wound. “And lots of yellow, the yellow of a slice of lemon when you put it in honey tea." Shouto made an appreciative noise in his throat. "What about the trees?" "Very fresh. And green. Green like cucumber floating in sparkling water." "I hate sparking water, Izuku." "Me too." Izuku laughed, carefully placing two new pads over Shouto's eyes. "There's a gingko right next to your window. It looks ancient and supernatural." "You have horrible description skills," Shouto remarked, sitting straighter so Izuku could wound the gauze around the back of his head. Izuku barked out a laugh. Shouto was very straightforward. "Literature was never my strong suit. Should I continue or leave your imagination to do the rest?" "You're doing better than I ever could. Please continue.” Shouto made a vague ‘go-ahead’ gesture. “Tell me more about the gingko." "Tall, regal, beautiful and absolutely ancient." Izuku racked his brain for all the adjectives but there was only so many he could find that fit the description he was going for. "There's a small shrine at the base of it. Painted red. You can feel the oldness coming from this tree. We have a tale here. That every moonless night, the spirit of Inari appears and runs around the temple four times before disappearing. And in the morning after, a sprig of wheat, golden and blessed can always be seen from afar. But when someone comes closer to pick it up, it disappears. My mentor says that means that this land is protected." Izuku ended his story by clipping off the excess gauze and securing the end to another part of the wrap with a strip of tape. Shouto's breathing had slowed down, rhythmic. He was fast asleep. As quietly as possible, Izuku gathered his equipment and walked over to the door. He should have woken Shouto up so that he moved to the bed and could have a better sleep position, but he didn't want to disturb him. However, apparently Shouto wasn't as fast asleep as Izuku thought he was, for he suddenly spoke when Izuku was sliding the door open, badly startled him. "You will come — " the tray and scissors clattered to the ground with resounding clang, " — back later?" There was a note of something there, a tinge of hopefulness shrouded under a curtain of nonchalance. Izuku bent over to gather his stuff. "Yes, of course I will." His cheeks felt incredibly hot the moment he said that and Shouto’s happy smile didn’t help cooling them down.
Lunch was a slow and careful business for Shouto, but he managed without making a huge mess.
They were outside in the courtyard, under the shade of clustered bamboos "I like this sound." Shouto lifted his head to the sky, placing his chopsticks down on the table. Izuku guided his hand to where the chopsticks rest was. "Easy to fall asleep to." "That, it is," Izuku agreed, closing his eyes. The wind picked up, carrying with it a briny smell from the sea and running through the tightly packed leaves. High and low notes echoed against the rumbling background of waves crashing onto the shore, a natural orchestra. "How are things up in the sky?" Shouto murmured. Izuku peeked open one eye, leaning to the left to avoid the sun in his eyes. "Blue. The truest of blue. And fluffy large clouds like cotton candy." "Clouds can be pink?" Izuku shook his head and realized Shouto couldn't see him. "No," he said. "White. Like rice." "There are white cotton candies," Shouto breathed softly. And if Izuku allowed himself to be truthful, the statement was one of wonder too. Izuku made an affirmative voice at the back of his throat. And there was silence between them. But only for a minute before Shouto broke it tentatively. "What does cotton candy taste like?" The hesitation in his question was as clear as day. It was a strange question to ask. Izuku glanced at Shouto from the corner of his eye. He was biting his lips and circling his thumb on the table. A nervous move. Even though Shouto couldn't see, Izuku turned away, thinking hard to the last time he had cotton candy. "Sweeter than sugar and very sticky." The last time he had cotton candy was at a festival, years and years ago. "It melts in your mouth. If you could eat cloud, the texture would be just like cotton candy." "Fascinating," Shouto said appreciatively, then sighed. "I would love to try cotton candy one day." The feather of strangeness tickled the back of his mind at Shouto's simple wish. As far as Izuku knew, cotton candy was a part of everyone's childhood. Shouto’s statement strummed his curiosity fibers. He filed it away for later study and focused back on the conversation. He could potentially help Shouto fulfill that wish if the festival he was thinking about was happening tonight. He pulled out his phone and pulled up the calendar. Strike! "The midsummer festival is happening tonight downtown." He smiled to himself, scrolling through the event agenda. The stalls would be open until late at night. They would have plenty of time to stroll around looking for cotton candy. "I guess it's high time you tried cotton candy." The happy grin Shouto shot in his direction set Izuku's brain on fire. "Sounds like the date."
Izuku should have thought twice about taking Shouto, a public figure loved and admired by everyone, out onto the street. Then again, the past few hours he’d spent with Shouto just somehow made him more human, more real than the figure Izuku read and admired through press and interview. And somehow Izuku forgot that the rest of the world didn’t get to know Shouto the way that he did.
The moment they set foot inside the premise of the festival filled with bustling people and noise, Izuku realized his mistake. Shouto stood out in the self assured way he hold himself, the air he surrounded himself with, and the most important thing, his glaring telltale half-white-half-red hair. Before anyone could look twice at them and make the connection between Shouto and the Hero Shouto, Izuku thrown his jacket over Shouto’s head and led them away.
“Izuku?” Shouto questioned, startled, but didn’t fight against Izuku’s pull. “What’s going on? Where are we going?”
“Just some minor issues.” Izuku made a sharp left into a darkened alleyway when he spotted a group of girls heading their way from afar. He managed a smile when Shouto looked at him with lips turning downward in a frown. “Don’t worry, we will get the cotton candies in no time. I just need to figure out a, uhm, disguise.”
Shouto’s mouth parted opened. “Is it my hair?” He removed Izuku’s jacket from his head and subconsciously smoothed a hand over his hair.
"Sorry," Izuku apologized immediately. He hated seeing uncertainty on Shouto. "I forgot to think up disguises before."
"Don’t be. The fault is mine," Shouto said, draping Izuku’s jacket over his forearm. "I should have thought about this too."
A part of Izuku wanted to take all the fault onto himself, but he knew if he did just that, Shouto would get the fault back and they would end up in a never-ending tennis match of taking blame.
"We're both at fault." Izuku compromised, tapping a finger on his chin.
This didn't start off as well as Izuku had imagined, but he couldn't let that ruin the night. He was on a mission here. Shouto would need a something to cover his hair, the most distinct feature on him. A hat, maybe? Izuku couldn’t remember if he had a cap somewhere in the employee room in the hospital. And the hospital was close enough that he could make a round trip in 20 minutes if he ran.
"You still there, Izuku?" Shouto's inquiry interrupted his train of thought, a note of uncertainty and fragility. He sounded... afraid.
Izuku cursed himself in his head. Shouto couldn't very well see right now.
"Yes, I'm still here." He took Shouto's hand in his and intertwined their fingers together. "I'm right here."
Shouto nodded tersely, but didn't say anything. He merely tightened his hold on Izuku's fingers. Izuku looked out into the street. A merchant was pushing her cart of handcrafted masks nearby. Then suddenly, an idea sparked itself into existence. A traditional mask would do the trick better than a hat could. Masks would blend right in with the festive crowd.
"Shouto," Izuku said, wrapping his other hand around Shouto's, "I'll go get a disguise. Count backwards from 25 to 1, I'll be back before you know it. I'll never abandon you."
He didn't think Shouto would agree, with how hard he was biting down on his lips. Having a sense robbed was not a pleasant experience. Izuku was all for Shouto to disagree and they would walk back to the hospital and have tea under the starry sky while Izuku practiced his poetic skills and wax heartfelt lines about the beauty of the moon. But Shouto nodded, hesitantly and fearfully, and started counting down.
"25, 24—”
"I'll be back before you know it."
Izuku unlatched his hand from Shouto's loosened hold and took off. He had never run so fast in his life. He caught up to the merchant, picked the two closest masks, and paid. He didn't even bother counting his change before he was sprinting back into the dark alleyway where Shouto was waiting, counting.
"7, 6, 5—"
"Back." Izuku bent down, hands on his knees, and breathed harshly. His heart was beating to the point his chest hurt. He looked up at Shouto, who was already smiling softly. In a corner of his mind, he noted that Shouto had smiled more during his short hours with Izuku than all the time he saw Shouto appear on interviews. "Told you I would be back in no time."
"I had full trust in you." Shouto whispered, completely at ease and peacefully.
It was ironic that both the masks Izuku picked were fox masks with a red and white color scheme. But as long as they did the job of concealing Shouto’s presence to the crowd, Izuku was not going to complain. With at most care, he slid one mask over Shouto's face and tied the bow at the back of his head to secure it. While Shouto was busy adjusting his to his preference, Izuku slid the other one on the side of his head. He rationed that if they went as a pair, less people would think of Shouto as Hero Shouto. He silently took hold of Shouto's hanging hand, again locking their fingers together.
“Are we good for cotton candy now?” Shouto’s voice, muffled through the mask, was filled with child-like excitement.
Izuku laughed, leading them out of the dark alleyway and into the bubbly crowd heading towards the night festival.
“Yes, we are very ready for cotton candy.”

Summary of K SEVEN STORIES Episode 1 「R:B ~BLAZE~」
Repost as I need ALL spoiler under the cut for edit later. The tumblr app isn’t helping exposing everything after I done a bit of text editing. Deleted the previous post.
It’s finally here in cinema. The Idol K was shown as an appetizer and R:B ~BLAZE~ the main course after that.
Spoilers ahead. Pardon me for any errors. I tried to put in whatever I remembered.
The Idol K
Around 6 min. The scenes interchanged with normal (zoom in) and chibi (zoom out) forms of the characters throughout the mini episode.
The setting was the same as K Project except that the characters are idols under Kokujouji Daikaku’s jurisdiction. The Silver Record was having a meeting about rice. Shiro decided to organise a charity event. Kuroh reminded him that they knew nothing about rice and agriculture and THEY ARE IDOLS. They are not suppose to deal with that. Shiro responded with “can’t they do that?” much to Kuroh’s dismay. Worse still, it was not kept among the Silver Record. Shiro wanted to involve the other entertainment companies much to Kuroh’s horror. Shiro would approach HOMRA Entertainment first and Kuroh warned him it would be very difficult to get them to agree to collaborate with them considering their passion. Neko claimed to be close with Anna (she would be easier to talk to). Kuroh highlighted that Anna and Totsuka Tatara were exception but it would be difficult to get the other HOMRA idols such as the one who just returned from America and that he is a walking furnace (hottest looking with his hair down) and an idol who was calculative (can’t remember the actual word used to describe Kusanagi).
But still since Shiro had decided, Kuroh would lend him a land and the scene ended with the three of them leaving for HOMRA.
Kiss kiss kiss was played as the ED.
R:B ~BLAZE~
Started off with a fighting between mafia and HOMRA.
Too much firepower. Bullets flying everywhere. Kamamoto must be an idiot to be running to the open and yelping over the bullets which missed him.
The Red King Suoh Mikoto melted it down. His Sword of Damocles appeared. It appeared to be in better condition obviously. He started to lose control and the sword started to crack like Shiro’s in S2. It was stopped when he heard someone called him, “King”. Totsuka made his appearance and Mikoto regained his sense.
Discussion about the new Blue King who quickly rebuilt Scepter 4 and how impressive he is to be taking command at scene.
HOMRA has been expanding very fast since Scepter 4 disbanded. The newbies had been acting irresponsibly causing chaos under the name of HOMRA which was an issue. They will accept anyone who can pass Mikoto’s test.
The newbies had been causing troubles enough to gain Scepter 4 attention.
Kagustu Genji looks like this.
Habari Jin obviously will gain more fangirls. ^^
Mikoto had a dream of the previous Red King, Kagutsu Genji losing control and the former Blue King, Habari Jin trying to stop him and the scene of Damocles Down happened. Mikoto saw himself transforming into Berserker a monster and losing control before awakening in the room behind the bar. The HOMRA trio discussed about the newbies of HOMRA starting the fight with the mafia as someone wanted to deal with drugs. Mikoto started HOMRA as he wanted to oppose those who oppressed them.
Mikoto was frustrated as he was finding hard to suppress his power. He felt he was hopeless and want to go all out to have a blast and destroy himself.
He was in the park smoking when another person stood beside him for sometime (quietly) startling Mikoto.
Mikoto kept muttering he felt very hot.
Mikoto was feeling very hot (it was summer) and to see someone dressing in full uniform suit was unimaginable. He instantly realized he was the law abiding new Blue King, Munakata Reisi.
Mikoto was provoking him calling him newbie and he had come to greet him as a respect since he was a senior who became a King before him.
There was a short scene on the awakening of the new Blue King in a plane on fire with Awashima Seri onboard. They used to be ordinary civilians who didn’t know anything. Awashima has become his clansman since then and was helping him to train the new clansman to prepare for any clash with HOMRA. Munakata was wondering who he was and he only got it when he awakened as a King.
He came to Mikoto to ask for collaboration and Mikoto rejected as he didn’t want to follow anybody’s order. Mikoto wanted power to fight against those who oppressed them. Since when his power became a restriction.
Before Munakata left, he asked Mikoto his opinion about Kagutsu Genji. Mikoto merely replied he had not met him.
Mikoto and Munakata decided that they don’t see eye to eye with each other.
The slate kid had made an appearance.
Kusanagi leave Totsuka out to handle the newbie, Yamato Taichi (not Digimon) Yamata Daichi who just joined three months ago who was the source of the trouble.
Yata beaten a newbie up demanding for Yamata’s location. Fushimi was being sadistic. He threatened the newbie not to do anything and live like a corpse if not he would turn him into a corpse right there. Yata decided to take this on himself to find Yamata to teach him a lesson behind Kusanagi’s back. Fushimi agreed to be part of it. They did a knuckle bump.
They intended this movie to be a 2-part episode having the opening theme twice in the movie.
Next half of the movie started out with Yamata reminiscing on his past on his first encounter with HOMRA and Mikoto like Sarumi during their Middle School days. Think it was a reused scene of Mikoto and group walking in the street (Fushimi included).
Mikoto spotted Totsuka in the street. Totsuka was looking for Yamata and Mikoto decided to stalk follow him.
Yata barged into a cafe (I think) where Yamata was and Scepter 4 arrived in the scene and Yamata escaped. Yamata didn’t understand why it turned out like that.
He was stopped by a butterfly flame and Totsuka appeared before him. He wanted to talk.
The newbies of HOMRA joined for the wrong reason. Mikoto reasoned this out with Yamata Daichi when he showed up behind Totsuka. Yamata was happy that Mikoto actually remembered him (how will you react if your idol remembers you?). A lot of trouble was caused under the name of HOMRA by this group of newbie. There was nothing wrong to bully people so he would not be bullied, to snatch people’s things so his would not be snatched but still, things he had taken from other would be taken from him one day for sure. Mikoto concluded that Yamata and the newbies joined HOMRA merely because of pride.
Mikoto wanted to disband HOMRA and Totsuka told him NO! His King who could not control his power need somewhere to dwell, somewhere to eat and sleep. Mikoto obviously couldn’t say no to him.
Scepter 4 arrived in the scene with Munakata Reisi. Munakara wanted Mikoto to hand Yamata custody over to ask some questions. Mikoto wouldn't budge in the name of he won’t follow anyone’s order. Mikoto decided to buy some time while Totsuka took Yamata and ran.
Munakata ordered Awashima to take the troop and run after Totsuka and Yamata while he would take Mikoto on.
Both Mikoto and Munakata underestimated each other’s ability or rather they were overconfident about themselves. It was a fight between two children granted with toys they shouldn’t have received.
Mikoto was thrown against a wall and he melted the wall down. Munakata insisted he would not unsheathe his sword and took him on. Mikoto stepped on Munakata’s sword which he used as a shield to block his kick declaring he would be on top. Munakata dodged and Mikoto was impressed by his movement.
Munakata noticed the damage their battle had caused and he “rationally” decided to retreat. He declared he would concede defeat to Mikoto leaving Yamata Daichi’s custody to him and thought he would like it. Mikoto was like “huh?”, “wtf?” and he got really pissed. They clashed again and Mikoto sent Munakata flying... Yes he went blasting off like a shooting star 😂😂😂. Awashima saw shooting star aka a man flying past up in the sky (it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s her King. The whole cinema burst into laughter. Sorry, fans of Munakata) She came to Munakata who picked himself up leaving a dent on the wall of a building acting as though nothing happened when she asked him about the Red King. Munakata decided that he “would finish him off” with an straight face.
Yata and Fushimi had a run in with the alphabet boys of S4. They were saved from being arrested by Kusanagi as Totsuka called him. The alphabet boys retreated.
He made his way back to Mikoto by walking as though nothing happened to continue their battles. Mikoto wanted to make Munakata cry while Munakata wanted to make Mikoto grovel on the ground. This time they released both their Sword of Damocles and decided to go all out. Totsuka said he believed in his King. The fight went on until someone dropped a sword and stood on it to stop them. The man was Miwa Ichigen, the Colourless King. He was the mediator sent by Kokujouji Daikaku and he should have come to meet them earlier. Mikoto did not want to follow anybody’s order and expanded his sanctum but it was dispelled instantly by Ichigen and that gave him a shock. Munakata being a good boy put away his sword.
Mikoto and Munakata with their second-in-command had a family meeting with Kokujouji Daikaku and Miwa Ichigen. Kokujouji let them off this time. They were the chosen ones by the Slate and he would leave them to do what they wished as long as they abide to protocol 120 (he did not come up with that). Munakata asked him if they would be punished since they released their Sword of Damocles. Kokujouji suddenly clapped his hands and laughed to lighten up the mood much to Mikoto and Munakata’s surprise. (They did not expect the no-nonsense old man will make that kind of face a silly old man would make). They should make peace with each other.
Comment: When the two young kings met, it became a fight between two kids granted with powers they shouldn’t be receiving. Mikoto clashing on walls, Munataka blasting off into the sky *facepalm*.
Mikoto’s facial expression can be more amusing.
Kokujouji clapped his hand laughing sheepishly like a certain younger Silver King to lighten the mood. Ok, Reisi is not getting any punishment from fighting with Mikoto today.
Ok they are all “OOC”.
I wish they could expand more on the incident with Kagutsu Genji. Perhaps we will get more insight about it in Episode 2 「SIDE-BLUE ~天狼の如く~」when it gets released.

RP Log || The Other Side of the Mirror
Continues from Chapter 7.
Chapter 8
It had been a few hours since the blue king had left back to the office. Fushimi was officially announced off “physical” duty for the day with no visitors allowed. The ravenette had made use of a few blankets he stocked up against the wall to create a comfortable lean-on, legs criss crossed with a cushion on his lap, the laptop he’s working on set right on top with a bottle of soda resting next to him, accompanied by two empty bottles set nearby.
His azure hues would occasionally steal glances at the younger boy through the corners of his eyes, who he’d set to rest in his own bed, blanket on top for cover, a cup of water with his reserved pair of glasses ready on the nightstand. The ravenette slightly let his hair drape back over his face, twisting his lips to the faint reflection on the screen before tucking his right side back to how he combs it.
~~
At some point during this time, the boy’s unconsciousness had shifted into natural sleep, and his body had moved to the side and curled up in the fetal position he was most used to. So when he slowly drifted into the drowsiness that preceded awakening, he was facing the wall. The first distinct sound, so familiar and oddly soothing, was that of fingers stroking keys. The numb throbbing of his head and the sore spots on his body came only afterwards. And with those sensations came his memories.
How long have I been out…?
He wondered that, but he was beginning to wonder if that was the right question to ask. Was he even in the real world anymore? The idea that he might be in some kind of limbo was becoming more and more believable.
But he’d worry about it later. Now he had other concerns… like the fact that he did not feel the presence of his harness on himself anymore.
The urge to turn his head and look around was strong. But without his glasses there wouldn’t be much he’d be able to ascertain of his surroundings anyway. His sight had always been poor, but when Aya had shot a bottle rocket in his face it had gotten even worse on the right eye.
He knew he had a jailer, that much was certain. And judging by his hearing he was close enough that he’d notice if he moved.
His breathing got unconsciously irregular once he was completely out of his sleep and nervously aware.
He needed a weapon. Where could his stuff be? In a locker? Some drawer in here? He noticed a top bunk over his head. Were they there?
~~
If clocks weren’t available in their devices, the ravenette would definitely be unable to tell the time, nor would his room hint it either. His dark blinds were closed, lights on, no hints of natural sunlight within the room. The only other source of light crept across his face to reflect on his glasses, the display of the bright screen to the files he had to finish. Which to his luck, had lifted off a heavy weight off of both his chest and desk. There was a lot of time to spare, no distractions or interruptions, no stocks and immediate requests, no emergencies nor any broken systems to fix manually where he’d have to go on foot to said device.
If estimation could be served on a silver plate, his would indicate the riddance of most piled up work over long periods of time, including the previous days up until this morning’s reports. Perhaps, having been excluded from today’s duties due to the unconscious figure on his bed wasn’t as bad as he thought.
Throughout the time the other was apparently asleep, due to the rolling and slight shifting on the bed, the male had gotten off the laptop to let it charge even if for a short while. He’d taken that time to actually order pizza with his favorite toppings all over, along with a few more bottles of soda, seeing as he’d emptied around 4 by the time he got up. The only restriction he had from removing them was how satisfactory they were, appealing him with their lining, the faint few cold water drips on their outer surface, seated right next to his warm, comfortable rest. Perhaps he should get some snacks as well, considering his younger self will spend the night over, if not willingly, by force.
The pizza had arrived to his dorm, delivered by one of the blue clansmen of course. Outsiders weren’t allowed easily in, especially to dormitory residences where important personal belongings were stored. Saruhiko creaked the door open before opening it enough to exchange the cash for the box, giving his plain gratitude before closing the door and dropping the box onto the table next to the window. He’d share it as soon as the teen wakes up.
Going back to his seat to resume his work, the ravenette attempted to pull his knees up and rest his laptop there, but it wasn’t as comfortable nor accessible for proper typing. A grunt is what it took the third in command to resort back to his criss-crossed posture. His legs were exhausted of this position at the moment, thus he in the end decided to lay on his stomach, elbows pressed to the floor and the laptop right in front. Not the best position, but it would suffice for a brief rest. As soon as he turned his laptop back on, he was rather shocked to the few more files sent to him in his absence, “Tch, just how fast can you be?”
~~
He waited, hoping to hear the other presence in the room get up and leave for a leak or something, anything. Nothing happened, just more stroking of keys and occasional nasal sighs. The red clansman’s ever short patience ran out to give up to frustration when his ears were teased by the unmistakable noise of a soda bottle being opened and the sensation of his own taste buds craving a better flavour than that of his own empty mouth.
Giving up, he first laid on his back and then sat up. He could tell even in that blurr that he was not in a jail room actually. Why though? Isn’t that where a captured intruder would be?
This looked more like a hospital room than anything, but it wasn’t one. Even though it was less cluttered than the other room he had been in to hack in that Domyōji guy’s laptop, he could tell the layout was the same. This was the dormitory. Why was he there?
Unconsciously he looked to the right, that was where he typically looked to find his glasses when he woke up. It was a bit of a surprise to find them actually sitting there, next to water. The water could be drugged, so he forwent it and just forked the glasses on his face with a cold frown.
Almost right away his blue orbs searched for the other figure in the room, and upon finding it, his mind freaked out again. This time he managed to keep it internal, but it was overwhelming all the same. There was so much that didn’t make sense with what he saw.
Yet the first question that cropped up in his mind was most disconcerting even to himself.
Is it possible to change clan?
Why did he care about that at a moment like this? That he was staring at his own older copy was much more of an issue at present, wasn’t it?
He had so many questions, but they overlapped on each other and wouldn’t leave his throat. Was he afraid to know?
He decided to start with something easier. Less important maybe, it felt so weirdly urgent to his curiosity.
“… What was that code?”
He was obviously referring to the new blockade in the firewall that had stopped his attempt to infiltrate the network of Scepter 4. If he had to embrace the fact that he was looking at himself, then he’d bet anything he had that it had been him to stop him from the other side.
~~
By the time the teen had rolled onto his back, the ravenette was back up to his original position, tapping rapidly with ease yet disinterest, his slender digits came to halt momentarily as his azure orbs stole a glance at the awakened boy before resuming, the question directed to him was of no surprise, but slightly unexpected; of all things he could ask about, he started with that?
A soft nasal sigh slipped out, slightly in annoyance and hesitation before allowing the teen to steal his attention, furrowing his lips as he took his own glasses off. “A code that you’ll develop yourself,” He paused to reach up to brush his hair back to normal, letting his black locks rest against his face in the exact same free style the teen had it, “In the future, that is.”
With that, he brushed his hair back once again with a click of his tongue, setting his glasses back on before reaching to one of the soda cans and tossing it to the other, “Drink it, you’ve been out for hours.” With no further words, he locked his laptop and set it aside, taking yet another glance at the other as he got up, he was still in disbelief himself, after all.
~~
A code from the future. The answer had been unsatisfactory in substance, but so revealing. It struck the boy into a daze of disbelief which caused him to be unprepared when the bottle of soda was tossed in his direction. He snapped out of it to see it coming and then clumsily caught it only after it had already hit his chest. He blinked at it like he had never seen a soda before.
The future. It explained some things. A few but not all of them. The printing date of the brochure he had noticed before. And now he finally remembered what it was that his eye had caught but slipped his mind before. The date on the video on that new Homra member, the one with Totsuka-san bleeding to his death, too convincingly to be an act, had a 12-7-12 on it. It could have been a mistake in the settings of the device which had recorded it. But now… The bar closed, the apartment abandoned, and the fact that an obviously older version of himself was before him, breathing and talking about future…
~~
Heading over to the table, the older in the room reached down to grab the box lid and tilt it open to reveal the pizza within, no longer hot, but not cold either, warm and edible.
Pulling onto two slices, the male got back up and padded over to the teen, his eyes glued on to the younger Saruhiko, he offered him a slice while taking a bite of his own, just to reassure the other that it had no chemicals or baits, nor that he had any ill intentions.
~~
Saruhiko felt his stomach shut down. Presented with an offering of pizza, he was disturbed with the odd combined feeling of wanting to eat and not feeling like he could take anything in at all. So first he took a sip from the cold bottle in his hands. The carbonic acid sizzled painfully in the back of his throat, enough to make him grimace, but he welcomed it. It at least felt like it was carving its path to the stomach open again.
The adult’s presence next to him made the recent revelation all too concrete and burdensome. The boy avoided eye contact, still not fully in acceptance of this new reality. But this was no dream; things were too vivid for it to be, especially his own sensations.
His blue eyes did a double take at the food in the older self’s hand and finally took it, if only to rid him of the task of feeding him. He was sure if their roles were reversed he’d find baby sitting a confused boy a much boring and tiresome task. Though maybe his identity made it a bit more interesting.
~~
As soon as the other took the slice, a sense of relief washed over the ravenette now that he’d managed to get his younger self to not starve the day away. Retreating back to his seat, Fushimi curled his knees to his chest for comfort as he stared at anything but the other, occasionally stealing glances at the younger male before back into nowhere; just what was roaming and seizing the teen’s head? He could literally stand in his shoes if he were to place his current self into the far future.
The thought of that alone made his stomach twist and head ache in rejection, which caused his eyebrows to furrow in slight frustration as he clicked his tongue, his azure landing back onto the teen as he twisted the corners of his lips into a scowl momentarily. His younger self, more emotional and less rational than he is currently, even if by a considerable small percent, would most likely feel worse than that, seeing as he was actually living it rather than dreaming or fantasizing it.
~~
Saruhiko felt the urge to ask the question that pressed him the most, but had a feeling that the answers he may get might just make his stomach feel worse. Maybe even sick. Rationally, he should spare himself greater shocks for now and eat. There were other things he could ask.
“I thought Scepter 4 had been disbanded.” He said trying to not sound nervous. There was still a funny, kinda childish sense of pride in his head that wanted him to pull himself together. Maybe he felt an odd sense of competition with this other Saruhiko.
~~
The other’s question snapped the ravenette out of stray and back into reality, the realm of the small, closed room in the silence of evening with him literally sitting with himself.
“Are you really starting there?” The third in command huffed lightly as he took a sip of his soda before pushing himself up, making sure the door was closed before taking off his coat and tossing it onto a nearby chair.
“At a certain point when you.. No, I was in HOMRA,” he paused as he unbuttoned his vest and shirt, heading to the closet to finally change into something more comfortable and warmer, his eyes narrowing and fishing through the rows and stocks before finally grabbing a plain set, “A new leader, a King, was assigned to Scepter 4. He was chosen out of nowhere, the news reached HOMRA at the very moment he was throned.”
Another pause to change into his pants, no minding the other in the room, since he was technically him as well. He proceeded to unbutton his shirt. The fact the burnt marks that used to cover the now disappeared insigna were yet printed onto his collar slipped past his mind at the moment. He quickly pulled on the shirt before ruffling his own hair slightly.
“And then stuff happened. He’s still in charge, as you saw.” With a faint nasal sigh to the memories flushing back into his mind, the third in command reached for another set of clothes and walked over to the other, dropping them next to him on the bed in offer for comfort compared to the clothes he wore.
Without any further notices or words, he retreated once again to his seat and activated his PDA, pulling his legs up and taking a sip of soda while staring at the displayed navigation screen before him, which he’d personally upgraded himself back in junior high; yet another proof for the teen to believe him.
~~
Each phrase he heard raised more questions in the boy’s mind. But would they even be answered? He found himself wondering what he’d do in the other’s place. He thought keeping details to a bare minimum would be the safest choice. Though time-travel – if this was what actually happened – was a field that had been explored only through hypthesis and fictional theories, a concept that could be concretely believed was that meddling with the past could very certainly alter one’s own point in time. So he reasoned, maybe the information was being kept vague to avoid changes. Would that even be possible, after everything he had seen already?
His mind went back to the Strain he had chased. The white portal in the air… that had to have been what did it. Did that guy go into the future with him? Did he belong to this time, or the one Saruhiko belonged to? Were his intention evil, or good? He had that video in his phone, and he certainly did seem to be tailing Totsuka-san around a lot. Was he an accomplice of the murderer, or someone trying to stop him?
He let go of the soda, keeping it tucked between his thighs so he could use the free hand to massage his eyes behind the glasses. This was giving him more head pain than a bad math problem. When he lifted his eyes on the man across the room, he saw him changing. His brief wave of embarrassment was quickly wiped away by the sight of the marred spot on his left collarbone. His mouth stopped chewing and closed.
What had happened? Had he fought against Homra? Had the Red King done that to him? Or was it a part of the process of changing a clan? It looked badly burnt… To a chronically painful degree. He knew that when scars stayed that dark it meant the wound was deep and hadn’t been allowed to heal properly.
And, was he just not seeing things properly, or had the insigna actually disappeared?
Though he didn’t say anything on the spot, the boy could feel his own jaw stiffen. And when the scar was covered by the new button-up shirt, he actually felt a little better. But the awareness of it didn’t leave him.
An unpleasant sensation in his mouth made him notice he hadn’t swallowed his last bite yet, and he did so with some effort. He had to drink after it to push it down, giving only a distant look at the new set of clothes tossed beside him.
“Stuff happened, huh…?” He found himself asking with a quiet tone veiled with something dark. He was still thinking about the mark, but his eyes were sideglancing to the rest of the room, noticing its luxury compared to where he lived in. The judgment in that look was rather obvious.
~~
Shifting lightly in his position, Fushimi turned his back to the teen, believing that his younger alternative would be hesitant about openly changing in the presence of an older male. The question forwarded to him crooked one brow up in confusion, what exactly was he referring to?
There were multiple things that had happened. The series of events in his life, the new blue king, the change of clans, or perhaps it might be referring back once again to the improved hacking skills.
Choosing not to respond, the ravenette merely plugged his laptop into the charger and waited for the other patiently to finish, closing his eyes halfway down while resting his chin onto his knees in disinterest, he’d rather reveal as least information as possible at this point of time.
“Anything in particular you’re wondering about?”
He wasn’t a fan of responding to a question with another question, that leaves both ends puzzled until satisfactory pieces are connected. Side glancing at the pizza box, he licked his lips to savor the flavor of his previous last bite, the taste lingered within his mouth just to tease his buds for another round.
Pausing the game on his PDA, he scooted closer to the box on all four, reaching for the box and pulling it over to them, snatching another slice as soon as he settled back,
~~
The boy clicked his tongue when the reply came in interrogative form. He averted his gaze, both in annoyance and embarrassment. He didn’t want to make his question clearer because it had been a petty one, he knew. Just because his older self lived in a better place now, that didn’t automatically make him a sellout. There were many other reasons that came to his mind. First of them all, the fact that –
~~
“I hope you do realize the risk of too much exposure to the past.”
His note came out of nowhere, but it was a must for him to affirm. Taking a rather rough bite of his slice, his thoughts twisted from the glee of cheese to the horror of risk. As soon as he finally swallowed, he glanced over his shoulder at the other with narrowed orbs, his mouth was rather full of words that preferred to be kept captive than to escape and wreck the teen’s brain further more than it is at this point.
Deciding to leave the puzzle pieces of the present scattered, he waited for the other to specify, so he wouldn’t have to go into unnecessary details that can change the sequence of events. Any minor change the teen might do in the past due to his knowledge about the future is a risk that cannot be underestimated.
He turned back to face his screen yet again, the green reflecting onto his glasses and into his azure eyes continuously, giving his pupils no rest to dilate.
The red line here was himself, the teen could possibly bring about changes in the current him; including marks, mentality, or even death if anything befalls him. If time travel movies were anything to go by.
The mere thought of that put the third in command through the intent of cuffing the teen and chaining him in the room till he can find a way to push him back to the timeline he came from, the sloppy new bite in his cavern of gritted teeth hinted that his thoughts weren’t the only aggressive thing at the time.
~~
His train of thought was interrupted… no, reinforced rather, by what the man said then. It prickled at his pride, like he could be that stupid not to know. Of course he knew, but…
His heart rate accelerated, pushing his blood in a rush through his veins. In an impulsive drive, Saruhiko spat another question in turn, needing to know at this point, but maybe also seeking to stagger and catch off-guard the one whom he felt was holding him cheap.
“Totsuka-san is dead, isn’t he?”
Continues to Chapter 9.

It hadn’t been long since Anna’s birthday, but it felt like all of a sudden, the lull after the opposition to Homra reforming had shattered, and it seemed there was some new commotion every few hours. Rumours were that the Blue clan had it worse, but the change of pace had still been somewhat jarring. At the moment, though, there was a brief period of calm, and the Red clansmen had gathered to chill out in the bar as they had done so often before Homra had dissolved. Being busy was kind of nice, though - things almost felt like they were getting back to how they’d been before Homra dissolved.
“Hey, Yata-san… Looks like Anna and Tatara fell asleep,” Rikio pointed out. The two of were curled up together on one of the couches in the bar, with Anna’s head resting on Tatara’s arm.
“Guys, don’t just stand there, put a blanket on the little lady,” Yō interjected, picking one up to drape it over the sleeping pair.
“Yeah, it is getting pretty chilly these days,” Masaomi agreed.
“Chitose… I heard you and Dewa had a scuffle with the Blues last night,” Misaki asked.
Yō rested his arm on his friend’s shoulder, clasping a cigarette between his lips as Masaomi pulled out a lighter to ignite it for him.
“Oh, that was just a run-in with the pretty Lieutenant,” Yō explained.
“I guess they wanted to save face. But they were on our turf so we couldn’t back down. In the end, Kusanagi-san stepped in to bring things under control,” Masaomi added.
“I see.”
“Eric and I also came close to clashing with the Blues,” Kosuke interjected from the other side of the room. “At least it didn’t blow up into something bigger.”
“Those Blues had been on constant alert lately and keep poking around,” Eric said.
“You guys too?!” Misaki cried, exasperated.
Meanwhile, Shouhei turned to Saburouta, leaning over him and resting his hand on his shoulder to peer at the screen of the laptop he appeared to be concentrating intently on. “Hey, San-chan, what’re you up to?”
“Hmm? I’ve been noticing a lot of activity on the net…” Before he could elaborate on what exactly he meant, something appeared to catch Saburouta’s attention, and his brow furrowed. “Hey, what’s this?!”
Shouhei leaned forward, staring at the screen as he made a noise of apparent shock.
“What is it, Shouhei?” Misaki asked.
Whatever it was, it seemed to have him deeply perturbed. “Take a look…” he said, and the rest of the clan gathered around the screen of the laptop, muttering. They fell silent at the sight of the video on the screen, though.
Pixelated text reading “Homra is over” unravelled across the screen, then vanished, replaced by a Homra insignia, once again in a pixelated style, as though it was from some retro games console. It was accompanied by almost eerily cheerful-sounding chiptune music. Over the top, brightly coloured writing reading “the end of Homra” rose from the bottom of the screen, and then the screen turned briefly black once more. Immediately after, a short, video-game style animation played, showing the sprite of Tatara on the roof of a building, being shot by another sprite who was clearly supposed to be the Colourless King. Misaki glanced back over his shoulder at Tatara, who was blessedly still asleep.
“The weakest clansman really was the weakest…” the text appeared across the top of the video, and then the image changed once more to a sprite of Mikoto wearing a crown, approached once more by the Colourless King’s sprite. There was a flash and the Colourless King vanished, and Mikoto’s sprite flickered and got smaller like a character in a game who’d lost a life. The crown was gone from atop his head.
More text reading: “…But the foolish King became even weaker!”
The screen went black again, and large blue lettering reading: “KING HAS FALLEN, HOMRA IS DEAD” appeared, followed by the text: “GAME OVER.” The video finished on that screen.
There was a moment of quiet after the clip ended as the clan collectively seethed, almost too angry to speak.
Rikio was the first to break the silence, pulling out his phone and dialling Izumo. “Someone should go tell Mikoto-san,” he said as the phone rang.
When Izumo picked up, Rikio put him on speaker. “Kusanagi-san, we came across something…”
“Was it the video?” Izumo cut in.
“How did you know?”
“It was just broadcast across the city.”
“It was what?!” Misaki cried.
“Yata-san, you’ll wake…” Rikio started chiding, but as he turned to face the pair napping on the couch, he saw Tatara was already sitting up, and Anna’s eyes were open.
“Why does everyone have such serious expressions?” Tatara asked, still drowsy.
“Come see…” Rikio said gravely, and the two of them got to their feet and headed over to the screen of the laptop that Rikio was gesturing at. Saburouta hit play once more.
“I’m on my way back now, get Bandou on trying to track where the signal is being broadcast from,” Izumo said.
“On it,” Saburouta replied, waiting for Anna and Tatara to finish watching the video.
“Don’t do anything until I get back; we need to work out how to respond to this.”
The video’s end screen flashed up on the monitor as the clip finished its second playthrough, and Tatara sighed lightly, as though it was nothing more than a minor annoyance. “It seems like they’re just trying to get under our skin, like they want to provoke us. I agree, we should figure out how to deal with this in a measured way, otherwise we’re just playing into their hands. Does Mikoto know?”
As if on cue, the door that led upstairs to the apartment above the bar opened, and Mikoto stepped through. “Know what?” His hair was somewhat fluffy, like it’d just been blow dried, and it hadn’t yet been styled.
“Have you seen the video?” Tatara asked.
“It came on the TV.” There was a tension in his posture that betrayed his irritation with the situation.
Misaki, who appeared to have been stewing in his anger, finally reached bursting point and blurted: “We can’t just let them walk all over us! People have tried to make us mad before, and we’ve shown them that it’s a mistake, because when we get mad it ends badly for them, not for us!”
“It could be a trap,” Rikio pointed out.
“Our actions are up to Anna,” Tatara said gently.
She nodded, having remained in pensive silence since the video ended. “They want to provoke us, and we shouldn’t do what they want. We’ll pay them back for their disrespect, but we should wait for Izumo and decide what to do. We shouldn’t play into their hands.”
“I have the location,” Saburouta cut in. “It was really easy to find.”
“Isn’t that a bad sign? Do you think they’re trying to lure us into a trap?” Kosuke asked.
“It could be,” Akagi replied.
At that moment, Izumo opened the door, looking slightly harried, obviously having rushed to get there. “What’s the situation?”
“We’ve located the source of the feed, but it was suspiciously easy,” Tatara said.
“Depending on who it’s comin’ from, it’s either a trap or they’re just sloppy. My instinct’s the former,” Izumo said. “I doubt it’s from any o’ the smaller scale resistance we got when we first started reforming. They don’t have the resources for this kinda thing, and they’ve quietened down since we taught ‘em a lesson.”
“Who else could it be?” Eric asked.
“Jungle, maybe. Sceptre 4’s Lieutenant says they’ve been having issues with the Greens. If it’s them, it’s almost certainly a trap.”
“Well, it’s the only lead we have…” Tatara pointed out.
“Anna, what do you want to do?” Izumo asked.
“We can’t ignore the lead. We should send a scout ahead,” she said, looking at Misaki. “But the rest of us shouldn’t be far behind, so we have the manpower to fight if it is a trap. Show them we’re too strong to be messed with, and if they provoke us, it will only end up burning them.”
“I can do that,” Misaki replied enthusiastically.
Anna nodded her consent, and he rushed to grab his skateboard as Saburouta sent him the address, and then she glanced up at Mikoto, as though to ask if he approved of her actions. He gave her a small nod of endorsement, and the clan prepared to leave.
As they headed through the doors of the bar, Mikoto said quietly to Anna: “Ya don’t need my approval for everything. You’re your own King. Even if you do things differently, maybe that’s better.”
“Okay.”
“…You’re doin’ a good job,” he added.
Anna smiled faintly. “Thank you.” She paused, then added. “You aren’t weak.”
He lay his hand on her shoulder affectionately, and what could have been the ghost of a smile flickered over his lips.
When the clan arrived at the location, it seemed Saruhiko had also been sent ahead of Sceptre 4, and predictably, he and Misaki were already locked in a heated scuffle.
“Yata, that’s enough!” Izumo called as they entered the building, and at almost the same time, Seri’s voice rang from the opposite side of the foyer as Sceptre 4’s special forces squad arrived.
“Fushimi! Stand down!”
The two disengaged with discontented grumbles, and re-joined their respective clans. As they did so, Tatara noticed Mikoto looking around out of the corner of his eye.
“What?”
“We’ve been here before. While you were in hospital,” he explained.
“My my, you all seem quite upset, aren’t you, Homra?” Reisi said from the other side of the room, adjusting his glasses.
“Damn right!” Misaki shouted. “Mikoto-san and Totsuka-san were slandered. We’ll make ‘em pay!”
“Kusanagi Izumo, we want you to back down,” Seri said. “We will deal with the Green Clan.”
“Sorry, Lieutenant Awashima, but Yata’s right. Those idiots have to find out the hard way that messing with any of us means getting burned. And I mean literally,” he replied, pulling his lighter out of his pocket and toying with it between his fingers. “That’s the only way Homra will be satisfied.”
“If you put it that way, we’ve been taken for fools too,” Reisi reasoned. “This choice of place is no coincidence, don’t you think?”
Mikoto chuckled humourlessly.
Suddenly, Anna tensed. “They’re here!”
Reisi rested a hand on the hilt of his sword. “Don’t watch from behind the lines; show yourself.”
As he spoke dozens of figures stepped forward, looming from the balconies higher in the building – the upper floors were teeming with men in black and green masks, who seemed to outnumber Homra and Sceptre 4 put together 4 to 1. Most of them held PDAs in their hands.
“The bait was so obvious, and you took it!” an electronic-sounding voice called down to them.
The ambush began muttering excitedly amongst themselves, something about points, and the names of Red and Blue clansmen drifted down to them. The two clans in the foyer prickled with mistrust, anticipating a fight.
Another distorted voice broke through the mumbling with a gleeful shout: "So anyway, we have nothing against you guys, but it's all for the points! So die for us, will ya?"
The masked men were laughing, almost jubilant, as they pulled what looked like green parrot plushies from their pockets. It was eerie how eager they seemed to try to kill dozens of complete strangers, all for the sake of points on some phone game? The realisation of just how twisted Jungle's philosophy was settled uneasily over the two clans in the foyer as the Greens threw the parrot toys down onto them. As they hit the ground, they swelled as though they were about to burst, but before any harm could be done, the Blue aura swept outwards to envelop the members of both clans, knocking the toys away and forming a protective cocoon around the clansmen. Dozens of ear-splitting bangs echoed through the room as the toys exploded, seeming to shake the very air in the building, and clouds of thick, grey smoke obscured everything outside of the protective bubble of the Blue aura.
The smoke cleared with a rush of air, and the Greens looked down in shock to see the two groups of clansmen standing unharmed.
"What's going on?"
"Why aren't they dead?!"
"Such a vile and disgusting sedition," Reisi said gravely. "Our lock-up is not what you would call comfortable. I hope you're prepared."
"I can vouch for that," Mikoto added.
"You said Homra is dead? Don't you know? We have a new King. A strong King who rivals Mikoto," Izumo announced as Anna stepped forward, holding her head high.
"You disrespected and laughed at my family." As she spoke, her aura blazed around her, filling the room with crimson light. Her Sword of Damocles rose into the sky above the glass roof of the building, just as Mikoto's had all that time ago. "I won't forgive you."
The sight of her gave Tatara chills.
"Shall we begin then? For our cause is pure!" Reisi announced, and behind him, Seri cried out:
"Men, draw your swords!"
As each of the Blue clansmen raised their blades with a flourish and their aura sparked upwards from their feet, Izumo said: "Time for us too."
"Don't let those Blues get all the credit!" Misaki cried.
The rest of Homra didn't need telling twice. As the Red aura swirling around them burned hotter still, they raised their fists and stomped their feet against the tiles.
"No blood! No bone! No ash! No blood! No bone! No ash!" The chorus of shouts echoed preternaturally through the building.
Mikoto normally didn't take part in the chant as King, but Tatara noticed this time, he was joining in - he didn't stamp and punch the air like the others, but he murmured the words along with them. Something about the gesture was heartening.
"Do not let the Red clan outshine us!" Seri cried, directing her men forwards. The sound shook Tatara from his thoughts.
"Leave this to me!" Misaki shouted, running forwards to initiate the counterattack.
Meanwhile, the Greens had recovered from their initial shock and were preparing their plan B, pulling sub-machine guns from their backpacks and taking aim at the clans below.
Tatara had just enough time to freeze up at the sight of the weapons before the deafening chatter of gunfire began. After a second, he felt Mikoto’s arms wrap around him, pulling him in tightly against his chest, but the sensation was hazy, like Tatara had been out in the cold and his skin was beginning to go numb. He felt cold; the terror that the sound, so loud and so close, instilled in him was like ice water dumped over him, seeping into his veins. His legs crumpled beneath him, until Mikoto’s strength was all that was keeping him from slumping onto the floor. He was vaguely aware of an aura surrounding the two of them, but not whose or even what colour, and its presence brought him no comfort. The scar on his ribcage ached, and the fear was suffocating him, and he was hyperventilating and felt like he couldn’t breathe all at the same time. He was more afraid than he’d been that night on the rooftop when he thought he was dying, because then he’d been resigned to it, but now…
I don’t want to die I don’t want to leave them there’s so much I still want to do I don’t want to die I don’t want to die I don’t want to die
The panicked, half-coherent thoughts were almost drowned out by the gunfire.
Tatara only barely registered the fact that he was suddenly outside, evidently having been ushered out of the building by Mikoto. He was only alerted to the change of scenery by the way the wind made the tears on his cheeks feel cold.
“You’re safe. You’re safe,” he vaguely heard Mikoto reassuring him, but it didn’t quite register beneath the clatter of the bullets that Tatara barely even noticed subsiding as, one by one, the Greens abandoned their mission as a lost cause, spooked by the way the auras of the other clans rendered their weapons ineffective. It wasn’t until the echo of the shots ringing in his ears finally subsided completely that Tatara really understood what was being said to him.
“Breathe,” Mikoto said.
It took a while, but Tatara slowly forced his aching lungs to inhale and exhale in time with Mikoto.
“I’m… s-sorry…” was the first thing he managed to say.
“It’s okay.”
“I e-embarrassed… Anna…” Tatara’s voice hitched on his tears every other syllable. “They th-think Homra’s weak… I proved them r-right…”
“They’re running scared in there. They don’t think Homra’s weak.”
Tatara sniffled, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. His hands trembled as he did so.
“Do you want me to stop carrying a gun?” Mikoto asked softly.
“I can’t ask you to…”
“Yes you can.”
Reluctantly, Tatara nodded.
“I f-feel… stupid…”
“It’s not your fault.” As Mikoto spoke, he rubbed Tatara’s arm comfortingly. Somehow, the tenderness of his voice and his touch was helping to soothe Tatara’s racing heartbeat now that the gunfire had ceased. There was something about the way someone normally so gruff and frightening as Mikoto handled him with such gentleness that was deeply comforting. Still, Tatara didn’t know if he quite believed what Mikoto said about him not embarrassing his clan. He was embarrassed with himself, at least – it was rare the rest of Homra ever saw him upset. He was so careful to keep up appearances as a cheerful and carefree person, but it seemed like he’d broken down in front of everyone more times in the last few weeks than he had in all the years since the clan formed put together. It was endlessly frustrating, and Tatara didn’t know why he was struggling so much to keep it all in.
After a moment, the door opened and Izumo emerged.
“Totsuka, you okay?” To Tatara’s relief, Izumo only sounded concerned – there was no disappointment or anger in his voice.
Tatara managed a shaky nod.
“How did it go?” Mikoto asked.
“They turned tail ‘n’ ran as soon as they realised their weapons didn’t work against auras, didn’t even get a chance to fight ‘em. They disappeared with their tails between their legs before we could even get up to the higher floors of the building. Couple o’ the clansmen are giving chase to see if we can catch any of ‘em and interrogate them, and I think the Blues managed to round up a handful.” As Izumo spoke, he pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Tatara. “No one blames you, ya know. I figure I’d’a reacted the same if I’d been through what you had.”
Tatara nodded slowly, wiping his eyes and blowing his nose. Somehow, hearing the confirmation come from someone other than Mikoto was more reassuring – after all, Mikoto was biased.
“Mikoto, there’s somethin’ else you should know,” Izumo continued.
“What?”
Izumo gestured upwards at the two Swords of Damocles circling above the building, and the debris slowly crumbling away from Reisi’s. Mikoto’s brow furrowed.
“I figure you should talk to him about that,” Izumo said.
Mikoto grunted in agreement, a troubled look on his face as he watched the dust float down from the cracks in the blue Sword.
