The Bat-Adoption Papers are literal Magic Contracts

So! In the Deified Batman AU (the AU where the Belief of the peoples of Gotham accidentally Ascended Batman to minor godhood), the Bat Adoption Papers would be a fun concept.

Batman is a God of The Night, Fear, and Protection. Specifically, the protection of Children, which is one of his biggest motivators. Meaning, it's a big part of his Divine Domain.

So when he, a God of Protection and Children, adopts his own Child? It's kind of a big deal.

His Adoption Papers basically become Magical Contracts that claim Dick to him as his own Son, basically turning Dick into a Demigod by the fact that he is the Son of a God.

Then each time Batman adopts a kid, they become a Demigod as well. Maybe after enough time, and after they forge their own Identities, they could become Minor Gods of their own? Idk, fun idea

Why do I bring this up?

Well, when Danny eventually joins the JLA, and runs into Batman, all he sees in a God of the Night, who takes one look at him, and then pulls out a Magical Binding Contract from his Belt.

Needless to say, he books it.

Context:

Bill trapped Ford in a bubble, screwing his view of reality. In order to trick Ford, Bill has repressed his memories and manipulated him into believing that he lives with Bill back in the shack where they're both working to complete the 'portal'. Bill's goal here is to get the equation he desperately needed in order to escape Gravity Falls.

An important thing to note is that whenever Ford remembers, the whole scenario resets.

funny to me that gon kinda gets tropified into a hyperactive kid archetype when the first thing we see is him having been sat in one place fishing so long that wildlife started to gather around him. and then later he displays multiple times that he literally will just wait somewhere forever and/or do the same shit over and over again as long as it gets him what he wants. hes so stubborn & persistent like… all things considered gon is a super patient 12 y/o. he can just come off like an adrenaline junkie so ppl think hes super restless or inattentive

killua meanwhile gets sooooo bored & unless theyre doing something that requires his full attention he will be getting his ass into gambling and sweets and toys. he instigates fights for fun. he likes video games and complicated coordination tricks like skateboarding and yo-yos. pre-domestication he will just off people to make himself feel better and even during the caa he still defaults to violence in order "blow off steam". i wouldnt be surprised if he became an incessant gum chewer like that kid needs stimulation or else he gets insufferable
