In all seriousness, i think it may come down to tfa sentinel being that much more insufferable. Sure, one was a TERRIBLE person and very much deserved what he got in the end, but he was also INCREDIBLY fun to watch, to the point where it's almost charming. He's a piece of absolute irredeemable slag but if you weren't aware of All The Crimes, you could probably tolerate being in the same room as him for awhile (even if he's a smug bastard from the very start)

The second TFA sentinel opens up his mouth, however, you immediately want to deck him in his bitch face. His actions were still terrible and irredeemable, even if not QUITE as bad as One's but good LORD his personality is outright noxious. He exists as a character for the primary purpose of being run through the humiliation conga line, and while that CAN be sexy to people that enjoy the idea of shutting up an unbelievably bratty sub that needs to get taken down a peg, it doesn't quite have the same wide appeal.

Either way I encourage the tfa sentinel truthers to fight for their terrible, terrible man with all they have. He was the original bastard sentinel. The very first stupid blue cunt with a stupid chin. He walked so tfone sentinel could run and then they both face planted after falling off a fucking cliff.

It's not just you, that actually may be my main problem with the bayverse designs. And why I don't actually mind some of the Decepticon designs as much. Megatron and Starscream from what I've seen don't look even REMOTELY human, they look like proper aliens (even if I still find them a touch overcomplicated), but then you look at Optimus and like. Boy what the hell are those lips? TFA Optimus you are not. It's almost worse with Lockdown

His face looks like a skull someone stuck a pair of wax lips on. Like if you just kinda cover everything beneath the nose and imagine a skull jaw or a freaky sharp teeth and mandibles situation it's no longer as uncomfortable to look at. There's still a lot going on, but it feels less like I'm being stared down by my sleep paralysis demon.

Genuinely I think the uncanny valley of it all is the part that skeeves me out. The overcomplicated plates coming together to make something that looks way too human to be alien and not human enough to be mundane. Weird monster features could have saved them 😔

He's like if a 2010s era barbie movie villain was allowed to commit war crimes. They really just engineered him in a lab to make him in unbelievably slay in the most bastardous way possible and that makes everyone want to completely ruin him

Nan being an elder is somewhere between 50-60, I think developmentally she's the oldest character here (not chronologically bc Grandefel has for sure existed for over a thousand years but ykno. What's equivalent to their species). Ofc nan has likely also existed for a little longer than that chronologically speaking? Can't say for sure but she's in the Early elder category. Maiju is AT MOST (equivalent to) in her 40's but I'd put her in late 30's. Middle aged to some capacity. Grandefel is funnily enough youngest of everyone despite having existed the longest lolol, for an angel she'd be considered to be in her 30's approx. She's in the generation between Kxxxtr and Lamera.

HOBBIES:

Grandefel - What hobbies? 😔 Yall got free time from your all consuming societally enforced role in life? Most her free time is spent with Deirdre and the kids, but if not she's out in the sky exhibiting cat behaviour (lounging on sunny clouds, napping in strange poses and knocking stars off counters their course just bc)

Nan - Something very grandma esque probably. You grew up in a house with your father. He was a demon but he never acted like one aside from the need for blood. The village saw your father as dangerous but you were just a child in their eyes.

On night you father lost all humanity he had and massacred most of the village. You had never seen an actual demon but seeing your father, you started to grasp why everyone was so weary of him.

You watched as they killed him. He reached out for you but you just stood there. Watching with tears in your eyes.

The few that survived decided it was better if you left. They didn't want to to take the chance of you turning too.

'Being alone isn't so bad' you lied to yourself. It was torture, you took your emotions out on every demon you saw. Weather it be anger, sadness, jealousy, it didn't matter.

You were escorted by a kokushi to be put on trail for your life.

"Are you sure it's a demon. It can stay in the sun without consequence." A slayer sitting high in a tree with a snake said as you arrived with the kokushi.

"Yes sir, he can regenerate and doesn't die from normal attacks on him." The kokushi bowed to them. "But his-" they weren't able to finish as you were grabbed away very roughly by the wind hashira.

He held you by your hair and put his sword to your throat.

"Let's see it.” 

“WAIT DON’T-” You screamed as he cut your head off. They all watch as your head disintegrates and your body falls lifeless. 

After a few minutes your body starts to regenerate, excruciating sounds similar to screaming can be heard for miles as your blood demon art activates. 

The first to be affected by it was Mitsuri and Tengen, they both cover their ears in pain, soon the rest follows. The pain was similar to getting your head ripped off nerve by nerve.

The sound doesn’t effect Kyojuro as much as the other seeing as he busted his eardrums but even with busted eardrums he felt the pain.

when your head was fully regenerated the sound stopped and you panted with your head down in exhaustion. Looking up from the ground you see the hashira with their hand still covering their ears. You didn’t even notice Kagaya and his children sit on the engawa completely unbothered by what happened.

“My children what has happened.” He said. 

'It didn't effect them?' you thought to yourself.

“I’m sorry sir I tried to warn master sanemi about Y/n’s blood demon art." The kokushi bowed many times to master kagaya.

"It's fine, I hope everyone wasn't hurt to badly." He replied looking up at the hashira gripping their head except for Kyojuro.

"WE ARE FINE MASTER." He said enthusiastically making the other groan.

"Please don't yell Kyo, if you couldn't tell the rest of us are in pain." Tengen groaned. Kyojuro chuckled while patting his back over mitsuri's head.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause any trouble." The kokushi helped you up while you talked.

"You didn't. Sanemi is a wild card, you couldn't have known what he was going to do. Now to the problem at hand. What are we going to do with Y/n." He said with his usual smile even though it's a grim topic. "Y/n what is your story."

"I lived in a village until it was attacked by demons. The villager thought it was my fault and kicked me out. I've killed every demon I've come across, I'll never kill or eat humans. My father taught me my morals." You said looking kagaya in the eye.

"Seeing as one demon is among us with no problem I don't see why we can't accept another, especially one who doesn't seem to want to hurt us!" Rengoku exclaimed not as loud this time but still loud enough to make tengen shudder. By now tengen was the only one still in pain.

"A demon is a demon soon enough it will have to eat, who knows who it'll kill." The snake hashira said. You hated the way he refered to you as it instead of a person.

"Well we've seen a demon who is capable of protecting others, I just want to keep a close eye on him." Shinobu said. After she said that it was a moment of pregnant silence before someone decided to speak again.

"I'll vouch for him. I believe we could learn from him. He's half human after all." Shinobu said with a raised hand. Everyone was shocked. "He stayed at the butterfly estate for 2 weeks and hasn't shown any signs of demon tendencies. In fact he was been a wonderful guest." She said smiling to you.

"Well then does any one object to shinobu monitoring Y/n." Nobody said anything. "Hmm, Y/n will be under the watchful of shinobu."

To be honest, I've only seen a couple of clips on youtube and haven't actually watched/read Beastars, but I'm aware of the series so I know what you're talking about!

As for the predator and prey species sort of deal in Twisted Wonderland...well, I can safely say that this isn't and hasn't been a problem that's happened since the time before the Great Seven. If you were to ask Lilia about this though, he might or might not be joking about how some monsters have become feral and how some can be found hidden in the Valley of Thorns/Briar Valley and in some cases the Afterglow Savana/Sunset Savanna. It's hard to tell with him and his little smile doesn't give away a thing, the sneaky bat... >.>

Keep in mind though that these boys are more or less omnivores and can eat both meat and vegetables without issue, though some are more inclined to eat veggies or meat/fish due to preferences or specific dietary restrictions--though it doesn't necessarily mean that the ones based on prey animals are less likely to eat meat. After all, Deuce dislikes bell peppers, right? >3> And Ruggie isn't too picky either! UvU

That's why Crowley makes sure the cafeteria is fully stocked with good menu items catered for all sorts of diets so everyone gets the nutrition they need--provided they eat more than just meat like he comments in the game. 😅

And just so we're clear, there are still animals like chickens and cows and the like there in Twisted Wonderland, so it's not like they're gathering eggs from bird-based monsters and the like and whatnot.

So my nephew finally watched The Secret of the Sundrop tonight, and hoo boy

Oh, where to start... This'll get a little long, just a heads up

Okay, so we had a little refresher beforehand because it took so long to finally watch the finale, and he told me he kinda felt bad that he was sort of rooting for the bad guy for the first time.

He told me he liked Rapunzel's song (set yourself free) but the very second that Varian started singing Ready As I'll Ever Be, he changed his mind to say "that was the best song in All Existence" (had to agree, it's amazing)

Gosh, you should've seen the absolute stars in his eyes during that song, though, he was So Pumped!

Backtracking a second, he was a little confused about why Ruddiger was the "monster" that attacked the guards, so I had to explain that Varian essentially announced to them earlier in the scene that he'd experimented on the raccoon in order to use him to terrorize/distract the guards and citizens.

He was not happy about that. At all.

Varian docked two points in coolness for animal experimentation. Sorry, bud. 😔

In fact, as Varian's crimes stacked up throughout the episode, my nephew told me he was really worried about what they would do to a kid in this setting committing all of this bad stuff. The answer was clear enough at the end, but he didn't seem happy about that, either.

He was really into the final battle, though, and "totally called it" that Varian would outsmart Rapunzel and the King when they tried to trick him, so good on him for that, haha

My nephew said he was stuck between rooting for Varian to finally succeed and free his dad and rooting for (kinda surprisingly) Eugene for a good part of the whole episode. He said Eugene was being so nice to Rapunzel and actually stuck by her, but "if only someone could have done that for Varian, then we wouldn't be in this mess!!"

He makes a good point. 🤷

Rapunzel's hair not working on the amber was "depressing" because Varian "did all that bad stuff and doesn't even get anything out of it" to which he immediately said that rooting for the bad guy is so weird to him, he wants Good to win but he's not so sure Varian is Bad

I asked if he thought it was possible for Varian to be redeemed, if he tried to atone for what he'd done and asked forgiveness, did he think Varian would deserve it? My nephew, of course, said he hoped so but Varian had "done so much bad in so little time" so that could be tough!

He was awed that Rapunzel could kind of control the black rocks, too, and then once the wall broke apart, he was all "ohhhhhhhhh they're gonna leave Corona then" without hesitation.

He's a smart cookie on this stuff, really picks it up so fast!

He was Very Worried about Varian getting killed in the very final fight, by the way. Like legitimately yelled "oh please don't kill him, he's small" at one point which I tried and failed not to laugh over. But Varian making it out only to go to jail was a twist he wasn't really expecting, for some reason?

He asked if they were going to help Quirin or fix Old Corona now, and i just did the 'Lips Sealed' move and told him he'd have to wait for the next season (and the one after that, apparently).

The lanterns floating through at the very end were an absolute Delight to him, and he was all happy and said it made him remember it was Rapunzel's birthday and asked when her canonical birthday was... which I didn't actually know the answer to, so if someone knows that, please let me know and I'll pass it on!

But yes, he's very excited to start season two.... was less excited to know Varian isn't in it, but i told him that, story-wise, we couldn't just skip it, so we shall have to endure~

But he's really hooked on this show now, and it's awesome!! 😊
