My family has a 10 year old shih tzu. despite being an old man that dog has LOTS of energy. most of it is horny energy.

every dog we had since we got him has fallen victim to his Advances™. at this point we're convinced he's bisexual incarnate. he tried to fuck a rabbit once. never touches humans, only other animals. it's been like this for years.

fast forward to a few months ago. we got a new dog that did NOT appreciate the advances that were made on him. he made it knows well. he set boundaries. my shih tzu didn't like that.

me and my mother were in the kitchen, while my father was in the living room which is connected directly to said kitchen. our dogs were in the room with us both. my beloved old man dog suddenly started whining and staring with the saddest eyes at our other dog.

my mom chose it was a great moment to say "aww, you want to fuck??"

my father, without missing a beat, answered in a quiet, hopeless tone, "yeah"

i need you to understand. that was my DAD, a man who raised me since i was 3, admitting to being horny for my mother.

He had once entertained the idea that he wasn't really a Drake, a very long time ago when he overheard his mom and dad arguing and some words were said in the heat of the moment, but to be honest Tim always thought the obvious culprit of anyone being his dad would most likely be Bruce (Bruce even admitted he had a small fling with his mother but that was two years before her marriage)

But before little Tim's curiosity could really take hold on the idea, he had saw on the news Robin performing a Grayson flip and the hint of Tim not being a Drake left his mind. Robin was Dick Grayson! And if he was Robin that had to mean Bruce Wayne was Batman!

Then well... his stalking of the Bats started and the rest became history.

But now, as Tim was staring at his own DNA test, something he never bothered to do until that damned Demon brat wanted to make sure he was ONLY blood son of Bruce (and doing a DNA test something even Bruce never thought of doing due to well… how he was towards Tim during his first months as Robin)

He kinda needs to find out who this Daniel Jackson Fenton is.

(Tim finds out he isn’t a Drake, but also not a Wayne (because Damian wanted to make sure he was only blood son) but is instead a Fenton)

the fact that kevin day also witnessed a man being chopped up in the tower at evermore after neil’s audition is mad, and it’s something that is very much not addressed ever. like, maybe part of kevin was so accepting of how things were in the nest because he knew that this is the second branch, and if he were to leave, he’d become the main branch’s problem because he knows too much, and the main branch casually chops men up as a warning to literal children. and then he’s still called a coward for leaving ?? but also a coward for wanting to go back to make the inevitable less painful for him ??? and that’s not even considering what riko and tetusji did to him specifically, before even jean arrived at the nest. and his mother’s death would’ve been quite recent at that point. just insane.

I think about the fact Anya locking herself in the infirmary with Curly to kill herself and how it is in way reclaiming a space that was initially hers from Jimmy.

Not to mention how she must've been aware of Jimmy's obsession with Curly and the idea that he would lose his power over the both of them (based on the fact she likely thought they would never get the door open) and having to face the responsibility of two deaths being on his hands as acting captain.

It was her final act of agency stuck on that ship with her abuser and it says something that she chose to die next to Curly, despite his inaction, leaned against him as if they were just in a casual conversation before her death. Despite everything, Anya made the final decision on her own terms and it speaks volumes considering her treatment and demeanor up until that point.

Just wanna gently remind folks that Curly losing his autonomy and the ability to actually do something about Jimmy's behavior while being forced to watch everything is irony, not a punishment. His disability is not a punishment. It's situational irony due to the fact that he refused to act and turned a blind eye. Now he cannot act even though he wants to, he cannot look away anymore, and he experienced the loss of autonomy like Anya did to some degree. That's irony. Like in literary terms it's literally situational irony. However, it is not a punishment to be disabled like he was. It is not a punishment to experience medical/physical abuse at the hands of his so called "friend".
